External Stakeholders of Tesco PLC and RSPCA External stakeholders are stakeholders who are
not as involved within Tesco PLC and RSPCA as much as the internal stakeholders but are
involved in some way. Suppliers of Tesco PLC The suppliers of Tesco PLC are interested in the
level of customers. As the suppliers will be able to sell more stock such as food to cover the
number of customers at Tesco PLC. Therefore, there will be more awareness for the supplier so
more work can come to the suppliers. Meaning that the supplier will earn more revenue from
being more well known due to supplying stock to a business as big as Tesco PLC. The suppliers
would also be interested in maintaining relationships with Tesco PLC and to have the best
interest deal. And finally, to be paid on time so then the suppliers will trust Tesco PLC on future
orders. A supplier at Tesco PLC may have conflicts with other suppliers over sales. For example,
other suppliers may sell similar stock such as food for similar prices. This is a conflict because
the suppliers at Tesco PLC can lose out on orders which will mean less revenue for the suppliers.
Another conflict may be with the managers on incorrect orders or deliveries. For example, being
delivered the wrong sort of stock. This is a conflict because the suppliers providing a different
stock will mean that Tesco PLC will have to return them and wait for the correct stock. Meaning
Tesco PLC will miss out on profit and more sales. Also, if the incorrect

IV. Company s CSR Sustainability Program
A. History
The rising need for protection of intellectual property rights and improvement of public health lead
the pharmaceutical industry to establish an agreement in 2001 with the World Trade Organization.
In Sanofi s earliest archived sustainability effort, Environmental Progress Report 2001, it states that
Sanofi has taken initiatives to promote sustainable development as a reaction to the rise of wider
and on going responsibilities. They have pursued these defensive efforts through promoting safety
in the workplace, industrial hygiene, respecting the environment, training investment, and many
more. Sanofi is shelling out great investments for their sustainability programs. In 2001 alone,
Sanofi allocated 11.2 Million Euros for a program to limit its operations impact on the environment.
By 2008, Sanofi showed efforts of compliance with the United Nation s Agenda 21 Blueprint for
sustainability by establishing the four pillars (i.e. Patient, Ethics, Planet, and People) that serves as
the foundation of their sustainability efforts . In the following year, Sanofi began its transformation
to a diversified global health care company. With this, a Corporate Social ResponsibilityDirection

When the quality throughput of the component is less than 95%, the demand is increased. Quality
measures are in place to alert the supplier when the throughput is less than 95% as desired but
additional demands with reduced quality requirements keep the supplier from delivering. Original
plans called for specific manufactured items for each component yet the supplier elected to use a
less expensive alternative which isn t meeting quality requirements.
To help mitigate the supplier risks, determine the supplier s attitude to safety, quality, and
environmental aspects to delivering components. Another treatment would be to appoint an onsite
supplier liaison manager responsible for signing off on any supplier and/or design changes. It

In the second fault tree I illustrated the impact of labor on the delivery of the 787 Dreamliner. The
labor to assemble the airplane components at the Boeing facility in Everett is critical to ensure the
on time delivery of the airplane. The union labor to assemble the Dreamliner is under contract

machinist contract and failure to arrive at a new mutually acceptable contract would lead to a
possible strike. Discussion between the labor union and the company would be required to mediate

10. The Political Compass
Politics is intricate and complex, not black or white, therefore deciding where one stands isn t as
simple as being either liberal or conservative . Thus, a more three dimensional approach was
created: The Political Compass. This multifaceted analysis includes not only the traditional
economic stance but a social stance as well. Although someone claims they re a liberal, they might
tend towards communism. With the traditional left or right scale, it would be impossible to know
that; The Political Compass, however, has a dimension for fascism and anarchism along with
communism and neo liberalismwhich would indicate both the economic scale (communism) and
social scale (libertarian). It is also a more accurate way to determine where certain politicians lie.
Take Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany. She s a moderate neo liberalist who is neither full
fascist or anarchist. By understanding her policies and background and comparing her to others on
the Political Compass, one can see that this is, in fact, true.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The CDU is a liberal conservative party and those apart of it tend to be center right on the
traditional left right scale. According to The Political Compass, Merkel is pulled more towards
neo liberalism, which means that she supports a free market. The CDU implemented Germany s
Social Market Economy, an economy that doesn t want the government to have complete control
over prices. This shows that Merkel is indeed a more neo liberalist than communist. However,
Germany s current economy still has regulations in place that prevent the market from being
wholly free, which is why Merkel cannot be classified as a full neo liberalist. She also grew up in
East Germany, the section of Germany that was a proponent of communism and was a part of the
Free German youth, a communist organization. In the writer s opinion, this proves that Merkel is

Best Picture Analysis #1 The Graduate
Criteria:
1.The movie should have more to it than just pure entertainment. It should have a deeper message
that will impact me in one way or another.
2.At least one character should be emotionally relatable, and the experiences that the character goes
through should also be realistic and relatable.
3.There should be at least some symbolism in the movie that foreshadows an event/ multiple events.
In the year 1967, Mike Nichols directed The Graduate a movie that tells the story of how Benjamin
Braddock, a recent college graduate, gets involved in an affair with Mrs. Robinson, and then later

The first shot in the clip is a close up of the blank stare on Ben s face, against the white
background of the airplane seat. This shot looks like a mugshot which symbolizes how Ben
feels trapped in a prison. Next, when Ben reaches the exit of the airport, the camera stops
following him, and he gets lost in the crowd, another similar situation occurs when Ben goes to
Elaine s college to meet her he gets lost in the crowd. These scenes connect to the scene when his
parents take him downstairs from his room to meet all the guests at the party and everyone
crowds around him, leaving him with no personal space. When Ben tries to leave the party and
go upstairs, a lady pulls him down. This scene symbolizes how whenever Ben tries to escape the
prison or pull himself up, someone or his own anxiety and worries pull him back down. Another
interesting way that Mike Nichols used symbolism is through the color scheme. He chose to use
neutrals with a lot of gray and black throughout the movie the clothes, walls, rooms, carpets. The
color gray is an unemotional color. It is detached, neutral, impartial and indecisive this color
symbolizes how Ben is feeling throughout the movie. He seems completely detached from all the
happy scenes and the only emotions he shows are of loneliness and isolation. Another way the
colors were used in the movie was through the constant high contrast of black and white good
versus bad, innocence versus evil. Most of the time, Mrs. Robinson is seen wearing black clothes,
symbolizing her negative behavior and actions, whereas Elaine is always wearing white, and her
room is all white too, symbolizing her innocence and positive

14. Write An Essay On Xenotransplantation
A person, who has a diseased heart, usually at end stage heart failure, would require a heart
transplant and for this case it is a two year old boy. Heart failure is a condition where the heart is
damaged or weak and is not able to pump enough that is required for the body. When the heart is in
its end stage this means the condition is very severe and a hearttransplant is needed as no other
treatments have worked (NHLBI, 2012). The heart is usually donated from someone who is brain
dead, however there are not enough donors. This means that there are people in need of a heart
donor, but are not able to receive one, so a new method has been found. This method is known as
xenotransplantation.
Xenotransplantation is the process where organs, tissue or living cells are transplanted between
two species. In this case it is a heart transplant between a human and a pig. There are many issues
that need to be overcome when it comes to xenotransplantation, as it is still in the preclinical
stage. The two biggest issues are cross species infection and transplant rejection (University of
Walkato , 2011). For this process usually pigs are preferred compared to chimpanzees that are more

of that sugar or by using the CRISPR method to cut the gene producing this sugar (Yang, Sykes,

other than the music, and in Germany graffiti and breakdancing were very popular in the early
1980 s. From when hip hop started, 1980 s, to now there, like any other trend or culture, has a
difference in opinion through the generations. The article by Androutsopoulos and Scholz (2003)

The popular song topics slowly changed through this time as there was a decline in social
critical discourse and an increase in sex and love. Jovanotti, an Italian artist, made rap popular in
Italy because he took traditional Italian pop songs and turned them into rap. This was his way of
targeting the mainstream audience. Other than Germany and Italy, other major countries were in
the middle of a changing their hip hop culture as well, Spain and France being two of them. The
spread of the rap culture hit Madrid, Spain, where it led to the commencement of the first
Spanish rap label called Zona Bruta (Brutal Zone), 1994. Continuing with the spread of rap
culture France was also experiencing new artistry, with the new popularity of Dee Nasty s album,
Paname City Rappin. French rap is mostly sung by non french people, such as Spanish and Arabic,
which leads to the French rap not being able to be about issues happening in France, they are about
the issues of the artist. Most European rap songs are about cultural factors and this is lost in French

16. The Pros And Cons Of Poverty In Russia
Who: The current population in Russia is 144.3 million people. Russia has about 23.4 million
people living in poverty. This number is up by 7.9 million from 2013 when the people living in
poverty was 15.5 million. It should be noted that one U.S. dollar is equal to about 57.6005 rubles (
Putin, in pre election year, pledges to erase spiralling poverty, 2017).
What:
The average wage for Russians is 39,253 rubles or $681.47 a month. Unfortunately, around 13.5 %
live on less than 10,000 rubles or $173.61 a month. In the year 2014 many
Russians fell into poverty (Putin, in pre election year, pledges to erase spiralling poverty , 2017).

Where: Sadly, the poverty levels are widespread all over Russia. The smaller cities and villages
were hit harder than the bigger cities. An example is the city of Irkutsk. The poverty rate has
steadily grown over the years. As of January 2017, about 21% of the population lives in poverty
compared to 13.4% of the country s population. The smaller cities are hit harder with poverty
than major cities because the major cities generally have factories or other major sources of
employment. In the smaller cities, many citizens make considerably less than the citizens in
major cities. For example, a teacher may only make 16,500 rubles or $286.46 a month in a small
city, but if she moves to Moscow she could easily up to 32,000 rubles or $780 a month.
When:
While poverty has always been an issue in Russia the poverty levels started rising rapidly in
2014. In 2015 the ruble crashed against the dollar and sent inflation up into the double digits
(Kottasova, 2017). The government and banks are hopeful that in 2017 Russia will return to a
slow growth. In 2016 the economy was expected to shrink by 1.2% and again many people are
hopeful that Russia will regrow the economy in 2017 and beyond. Putin has said that the economy
will not be fixed overnight and will depend on harnessing digital technology and making structural
changes to how the county is ran.
Why:
It is important to know why Russia s poverty levels matter to geography because while countries

17. Malala Core Values
Our lives are like a quilt that is made up of blocks of memories, stitched together with love,
dedication, and determination. The memories are what make up the bulk of our lives; they
influence us, and help us shape our values. For someone at such a young age twenty years old to
be exact Malala s quilt is her equivalent to Joseph s biblical coat of colors: it is bursting at the
seams with pigmented hues that make up her experiences. However, not all experiences are
pleasant; some of them are troublesome, distasteful, and overall, they stick with us. Regardless of
the type of memory, they are guaranteed to affect a person s values. But despite everything that has
happened to Malala, she has kept her core values, such as educationand family. She has faced
many hardships in her life that would have caused the average person to give up; however she
stayed strong and continued to be who she is.
One of the very first things that a reader picks up from Malala s memoir is how close she is with
her family, specifically her father. From the moment she was born, an unbreakable bond was
formed between the two of them. Malala mentioned that he looked into my eyes after I was born
and fell in love, (Yousafzai 2013, p.14). It s moments such as those that make it clear how the
two of them will forever be inseparable. Even in her younger years, Malala describes how she
easily became entrapped by her father s story telling. One moment Malala recounts from her
younger years is

18. The Beliefs Of The Church, The Laity, And Society
Dear Fathers, we should listen again to the lament of God proclaimed by the prophet Jeremiah:
they have turned their back to me (2:27). Let us turn again towards the Lord! (Sarah qtd Cardinal
Sarah s Top 5 Quotes from Sacra Liturgia 2016 np). In a time when tradition is seen as something
distasteful and backwards, people have become increasing focused inwards, on themselves. In the
Catholic world, this has become increasingly apparent in the way Massis celebrated. In order to
combat this self focused mindset of the world, a return to the historical orientation known as ad
orientem would benefit the Church, the laity, and society. Ad orientem is one of two liturgical
orientations used in liturgical Christianity, and historically,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net
...
While the architectural reasoning for ad orientem is clear, there is a deeper reasoning underlying
this orientation. At the heart of ad orientem lies the symbolism of Christ returning from the east
with the rising sun. The parts of the Mass that are directed to God are said facing east, towards
Christ s return, and the parts directed towards the congregation are proclaimed towards the
assembled faithful. When the priest and the people face the same direction, with the priest at the
head of the assembly, he is fulfilling his job to represent them before God, and to intercede for his
flock. At the same time, the laity unite with the priest by facing the same direction, presenting
their prayers in union with the sacrifice he offers on their behalf. With this common orientation,
the worship of the entire church is focused vertically, towards God, instead of horizontally, where
the priest and the people appear to be talking to each other, instead of speaking together, to God.
By shrouding the personality of the celebrant, ad orientem facilitates both the priest s and the
congregation s worship better. Without having to think about the people in the pews watching
him, the priest is free to enter more deeply into the Mass. Likewise, with the priest s face
obscured, the focus shifts away from the particular priest s personality, and back to the action of the
Mass. People naturally watch the faces of others, and this biological instinct doesn t cease the

19. Gun Violence In America
Gun Violence in the United States of America
Every day there is another story in the news about excessive gun violence, accidents with guns
involving children who found loaded guns in the house or unnecessary gun violence by police
forces. Due to the US allowing and making it so easy for citizens to have guns and for their
security forces to shoot without strict rules or consequences, lots of innocent people are killed
without having any way to defend themselves.
ICCPR
US is in violation of their human rights obligations under article 6 of the ICCPR right to life
because it s not protecting the lives of its citizens, it is allowing excessive gun violence (by police
forces) and it has insufficient violations of guns by people who are not even supposed to possess
guns. The US is especially in violation because it fails to control its police department on the use of
gun violence.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is an international treaty, which
entered into force 23 March 1976. The United States of America signed the treaty in 1977 and
ratified it in 1992. The main purpose of the ICCPR is to protect human rights, as it protects civil,
political, economic, social and cultural rights. The ICCPR addresses the right to life and that
nobody should be deprived of that right. However, the current gun violence in the United States is
taking away the right to life.

The Impact of Malnutrition in Guatemala
Most children in Guatemala at the age of five begin to suffer from malnourishment while in other
countries such as the U.S. children suffer from obesity. In Guatemala, half of all the children under
the age of 5 suffer from chronic malnourishment. It is the largest economy in Central America and
also the most populous country in the region. Even so, many members of Guatemala remain
minimally active in the economy and live in poverty (Guatemala s government 1). Guatemala is rich
in agricultural yet they don t feed their own people.
According to the World Food Programme in 2009 Guatemala ranked 133 out of 187 countries in
the Human Development Index of 2012 (1). The HDI is a system used to rank countries on their
overall achievements economically and socially. Guatemala faces a food insecurity crisis due to
droughts. The global economic crisis has reduced exports, foreign investments, tourism revenues
and access to credit thereby increasing the government s budget deficit and unemployment. The
rise in the price of agricultural inputs has reduced the availability of subsidized fertilizers (1).
Farmers are affected but not as much as families. Due to the crisis families are restricted to the
access of food. In comparison to the United States families are less likely to face these crisis
because they receive help from Welfare, Medicaid and Medicare.

Effectiveness of the rotavirus vaccine in New Zealand infants between 8 weeks and three years old
Abstract
Background. Rotavirus is a gastrointestinal illness characterized by vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach
ache and a fever. Children less than three years old are particularly at risk of dehydration from the
sudden vomiting and diarrhoea, which can require hospitalisation. A vaccineagainst rotavirus was
recommended globally by WHO in 2009, and it has recently been approved into the New Zealand
immunisation schedule. As yet there are no studies following the effectiveness of this vaccine since
its introduction using New Zealand study subjects specifically.
Methods. In this matched case control study, cases are infants between eight weeks and three
years of age who will be seen in a participating ED with rotavirus, confirmed with a positive
rotavirus antigen test, between November 2014 and November 2016 in New Zealand. For every
case we will enrol 1 or 2 controls who are seen in the same ED without rotavirus and they will be
matched for date of birth (within two weeks) and date of visit to ED (within two weeks). Vaccine
effectiveness will be calculated by 1 minus the matched odds ratio, multiplied by 100 for the
percentage. Aims
To measure the effectiveness of the new rotavirus vaccine against Emergency Department
attendance, or admission, for rotavirus in infants between 8 weeks and three years of age in New
Zealand.

23. Male Victims Of Domestic Violence Essay
Male victims of domestic violence attitudes towards the UK public services and organisations
available to them
Introduction
This research proposal will aim to expand on the knowledge and understanding of domestic violence
regarding female on male violence by inquiring into victim interactions with the public services and
other organisations available to them, such as charities and shelters. Adopting a mixed method
approach, it will combine semi structured interviews with an online self completion survey. The
sample for this will be obtained through the survey, using a snowball method to acquire participants.
Context (Literature review)
Domestic violence is cross governmentally defined as

Supporting this is the Channels 4 Dispatches revealing that the police would normally extract the
male out of the situation when they were clearly the victim, as well as arresting 25% of males who

Hidden Lives , 2006).
With evidence to support gender symmetry between men and women abuse rates, it has questioned
why male victims are not adequately treated by public services and discussion around there being
too little help for male victims of domestic violence. For this reason and the fact there is such little
research done on the topic, this will be the aim for the research proposal. Although there has been
research done on attitude towards police, none of this has been on a national scale, nor using the

Environmental Issues
William Sanford, popularly known as Bill Nye the Science Guy stated, Climate change is
happening, humans are causing it, and I think this is perhaps the most serious environmental issue
facing us (Nye, n.d.). Although this statement proves to be accurate, often times it is not realized
that the harm caused to the environment by humans in turn present a health risk to the community.

Urbanization also causes a respiratory health concern due to an increase in industrial activity. Water
and air pollution closely relate to the result of urbanization. It is noted that the majority of things
that are byproducts of human civilization cause pollution to water and air. The major causes of
water pollution in this area is toxic chemicals entering the waterways on a regular basis.
Ecology currently estimates that Puget Sound receives millions of pounds of toxic chemicals every
year from surface runoff, groundwater discharges, and municipal and wastewater outfall pipes.
These contaminates include oil and grease, PCBs, and phthalates as well as toxic heavy metals
such as copper, lead, and zinc. These toxins concentrate in urban bays and enter the food chain
(Department of Ecology (n.d.)).
This plays a major factor in health risk for individuals of the community. When chemical pollutants
enter waterways, and contaminate fish, the human consumption could be tragic. Health conditions
that may arise from toxic waste in water may include organ failure or possible death. Closely related
to the urbanization of Washington is air pollution. With the industrial growth of the community,
harmful emission plague the environment from sulfur dioxide emission to the common vehicle
emissions. Air pollutants pose a serious respiratory health issue that can cause aggravated
cardiovascular and respiratory illness. Major causes of the

Abstract Yogurt is a product of lactic acid and lactose. In order to produce yogurt, milk is
pasteurized (at 45 degrees Celsius) and the inoculum is added followed by incubation. Over a
period of 7 days, yoghurt fermentation was attempted using lactobacillus cultures. A liter of milk
was supplied and plain yoghurtwas used as a starter culture as it contains the necessary bacteriato
ferment lactose and produce lactic acid. The milk was added to a flask: then boiled, cooled and
inoculated. The milk was incubated for a week and all the while the milk was tested for changes in
pH, density, mass and physical changes. The values obtained were then used to determine the
growth kinetics of Lactobacillusbulgaricus.

26. Renewable Energy Sources And Fossil Fuel Consumption
Renewable energy sources and fossil fuel consumption are among the most controversial topics on
the news today, and they are among the most highly debated political topics in America. Countries
throughout the world are competing to develop the most effective and efficient renewable energy
sources in order to replace fossil fuels. The benefits of renewable energyare their fuel source never
runs out and their fuel source is natural, as opposed to fossil fuels that are running out and create
dangerous pollutants. Currently, the most effective and efficient renewable energy sources
hydroelectric energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, nuclear energy, and solar energy
work by
harnessing energy from a different part of the environment and converting it into electricity.
Currently, a debate exists over whether or not these energy sources are able to sustain America.
The United States of America consists of roughly 132,000,000 houses, millions of stores, and
thousands of large buildings (USA). Each of these buildings requires electricity, measured in
kilowatt hours, to sustain itself. On average, one house uses 10,837 kilowatt hours every year.
This means that the houses alone in America use around 1,435,867,000 kilowatt hours of
electricity per year (How Much). This is the same amount of electricity that would be needed to
run a large hospital, such as Central Dupage Hospital, for over 76 years (Energy). The amount of
energy that America needs every year is massive; it

of those proceedings, the individual is given the chance to be heard before the government does

seven rights are right to speedy trial, to a public trial, to be judged by an impartial jury, right to

It was a humid summer night when I encountered my first broken heart. The wind rustled against
the bushes that lined my front porch. It was humid even though the breeze was present it didn t
give much relief. It was hot but the crickets still chirped, surrounding me with the songs of
nature. It was completely dark but the black sky was the perfect canvas to display the stars. That
s something I loved about my town, you always had stars. I closed my eyes and filled my lungs to
their highest capacity. Slowly exhaling I turn my head slightly to focus on my driveway. The sound
of my mom s minivan disturbed mother nature s lullaby. The car backed out of the driveway and
down the neighborhood. That was the first time my heart was broken, that was the night my mom
left.
Walking into the empty house my dad sits motionless on the couch, the lights dimmed giving the
living room an eerie feel. I look at him, drive? I asked. We hop into the jeep and drive for hours,
emotionless. Neither of us talk or even make a sound all we do is listen to our favorite band, Red

30. The Chicago Teachers Union And Chicago Public Schools
Georgis, Donnell, Mike, Moose
For the second time in almost 4 years, over 350,000 Chicago Public School Students may not be
able to go to school because of the CTU Strike that is currently in progress today (The Washington
Post). The issue between the Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Public Schools has not been
solved yet due to disagreements about the income received. The Chicago Teachers Union has made
offers to school administrations; however, the responses were not in their favor. The union has
been in progress of agreeing on a contract since November 2011, [and the strike that occurred at
the time] was the first to hit the Windy City in 25 years (Liebelson). The issue must have erupted
due to a misconception or a realization of problems occurring. Chicago Teachers Union choosing
to strike does not affect charter schools since they are not a part of Chicago Public Schools. The
issue of school strikes can be fixed by increasing the budgets and providing useful resources to
teachers in order to improve the level of education.
The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) Strike in 2012 affected every single Chicago Public School
and their Students in 2012. The strike affected about 600 public schools which is over 350, 000
students. The CTU began negotiating their contract with CPS in November of 2011, but their
demands were not met. Since the negotiating did not solve the issue, the Chicago Teachers Union
chose to organize a strike for the first time in Chicago in 25 years.

quantity and diversity of services without exhausting the agency s budget. In order to make the

As Cuskelly et al. (2006) stated that between 8.2% and 10% of Australians and about 15% of the

The hypotheses was clearly stated and used to provide the initial theoretical framework. The
hypothesis was also stimulated from an earlier study that stated that a larger hotel chain
conducted a similar study using different variables with a common purpose. [ (Trochim, 2006) ]
Even though the study indicated that there was a previous study conducted, this study did not
provide any relevant feedback on the variables used or the specific findings of the earlier study.
The earlier study could have provided more insight to differentiate or to provide similarities to
justify the purpose of the newer study. The hypotheses was clear but there could have been more
detail to support the background the generated the question. The question in its current state over

43. Powder Movie Analysis
There s a small film, Powder, that in my opinion, didn t receive the acclaim it rightly deserves.
Directed by Victor Salva, it is carried by an ensemble cast of A List character actors, Mary
Steenburgen, Lance Henrickson, Jeff Goldbulm, with Sean Patrick Flannery playing the title role.
There are few movies with the ability to crawl inside you, and grip your heart like this one. This
movie speaks to me on many personal levels, I hardly know where to begin and almost didn t. It s
easy, with my abandonment and bullying issues, to assume its attraction for me. I admit these are a
factor, but it s not the whole. This film unabashedly delves into the mystical, and Pantheistic belief
that God is nature, and energy never dies, it transforms, becoming... Show more content on

He forms a telepathic link between doe and man, allowing the animal s emotions and dying
thoughts to flow into the deputy, forever changing the man, who refuses to hunt again. Powders
explanation of what happened in the woods, and how humans, in their cruelty, hurt innocent beings
and shouting, I don t like what you(humans) do! is heart wrenching. Throughout the movie
Powder is acutely aware he is a curiousity, feared, when he only wants to show love, and be loved.
Continuously experiencing man s aggression, leads him to believe he was better off hidden away.
Leaving the school, making his way across the field, he hears noises from the gym and investigates,
finding a basketball game in progress. Turning to leave, he spies another classmate in the shower,
and his admiration and envy for the boy s hair, is misinterpreted as homosexual longing. The drama
ensuing next is stomach turning, yet ends in showing the capacity of spirit to be compassionate, in
the face of contempt. The ending to this film is both predictable... and glorious. Powder s running
into a thunderstorm, gathering energy until he can hold no more, transforming into pure spirit,
spreading outward with love, is uplifting and brings me to tears. Every.

44. Electroconvulsive Therapy Essay
After researching electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), I have decided that if a close family
member or even myself were severely depressed I would not support the use of ECT.
Electroconvulsive therapy consists of an electrical shock, which is used to produce a seizure.
Many people experience seizures due to some other type of illness or illnesses, and in these cases
there is medicine taken in order to prevent these occurrences. In deciding my opinion on the topic
of ECT I asked myself would I want to put myself or a loved one through what others are trying
to avoid; a seizure. Although ECT has proven to be effective in some cases of depression, it has
many risk factorsinvolved and it does not ensure a lifetime with out the reoccurrence of... Show

Prior to the actual treatment, the patient is given general anesthesia and a muscle relaxant.
Electrodes are then attached to the patient s scalp and an electric current is applied which causes a
brief convulsion. Minutes later, the patient awakens confused and without memory of events
surrounding the treatment. This treatment is usually repeated three times a week for two to four
weeks. The number of treatments varies from six to twelve. It is often recommended that the
patient maintain a limited intake of medication, after the ECT treatments, to reduce the chance of
relapse.
Electroconvulsive therapy is a very controversial issue.
Much of the controversy surrounding this topic revolves around its effectiveness vs. the side
effects, and the recent increase in ECT as a quick and easy solution, instead of long term
psychotherapy or hospitalization. Because of the concern about permanent memory loss and
confusion related to ECT treatment, some researchers recommend that the treatment only be used
as a last resort. It is also unclear whether or not ECT is effective. However, other studies indicate
that the relapse rate is high, even for patients who take medication after ECT. Some researchers
insist that no study proves that ECT is effective for more than four weeks.
The side effects were also what strongly aided in helping

46. The Impact Of Feminism In Crimminism
Women have always played a significant role within a societal context to include wars and politics.
However after decades of fighting for equality, society still has not found itself comfortable with
adjusting to the roles and capabilities of a woman. For centuries men have been seen as the
dominate species, thus emerging a fine line amongst gender roles. This process of thought is
something that can often be depicted amongst criminologist, being that a bulk of society studies by
scientist and theorist alike are conducted solely on males. Thus, neglecting the capabilities or
undermining the involvement of women in crime. As a result of this sexist viewpoint, most
individuals conduct their study groups on men and not women; however some individuals modestly
include women from time to time. Furthermore, the omission of women from criminal studies often
gives us a false truth to a theory. This is because we neglect women based on their physiological
nature and not the physical state of the study. Nevertheless, we are unable to truly understand the
impact of feminismwithin criminology unless we are able to examine the liberal feminist, Marxist
feminist, and the radical feminists.
According to Merriam Webster, feminism is defined as the theory of the political, economic, and
social equality of the sexes or an organized activity on the behalf of women s rights and interest
(Merriam Webster, 2017). Therefore, liberal feminist is the emphasis on women obtaining legal and

This book teaches us the true meaning to take all risks and hope that you will gain something
from it. You always have to make decisions in your life, Anh. And don t kid yourself; when you
don t decide, that s a decision This quote teaches us that you hold, the key to your future and that
deciding whether or not to go and grab that opportunity or to just be complacency it s completely
your choose. The example when Anh goes onto the stage and convince his school why he
should become school captain is a great example of going out of your comfort zone or personal
bubble. Even though Anh doesn t become school captain he gains something that means a lot
more, self confidence and courage these are things that change who you are! Anh now realises
that if you lose and fail, but you still celebrate coming second because you ve given it a red hot go.
There is no need to fear failure. this is a message to celebrate taking a risk to gain a reward and that

48. Clean The Bore Research Paper
There are two reasons to clean the bore of any п¬Ѓrearm. It improves accuracy and putting away a
gun with a dirty bore is courting the formation of rust which will cause pitting, thus ruining a
valuable barrel. Frequent cleaning of firearms and barrels reduces fouling buildup, makes
fouling removal easier, and reduces the chance of bore damage to firearms. When cleaning a
bore of a barrel you will first need a quality one piece straight rod of the correct diameter for the
caliber. The rod needs to be just long enough to accommodate the length of barrel you are cleaning.
Second is a quality bore guide made for an Ar platform style guns these replace the bolt carrier and
some are tight п¬Ѓtting with O rings to help center them up. Avoid plastic bore... Show more

With bore brushes, make sure the windings in the middle of the brush never terminate at the front,
exposing their rough ends that can dig into the bore. Ammonia free Windex is used after each
cleaning to remove two types of solvents. Petroleum based bore solvents can contribute to carbon
fouling. Copper solvents have ammonia in them and trace ammonia left in the bore can combine
with chemicals in the burning of gunpowder to form a substance corrosive to barrel steel. Avoid
mixing different brands of solvents. First, bore brushes offer the greatest resistance on the п¬Ѓrst
use. Thoroughly flush the crud out and reuse them until they wear out. Be careful because flex
from the cleaning rod equals more potential damage to the bore. You can push a patch forward
until it almost exits the muzzle and then pull it back to the front of the chamber. Flex can come
from the second time you stop pulling it and begin pushing it forward. back and forth scrubbing
will cause rod flex that wears at the lands. Also be advised If you yank back there is a good chance
of boogering the bottom surface of the

49. Battle Of Layac Junction Essay
Battle of Layac Junction
December 7, 1941, Japanese air and naval forces struck multiple areas within the Pacific to include
Kota Bharu in British Malaya, Singora in Thailand, Guam, Hong Kong, and the Philippine Islands.
One of the prominent attacks targeted Pearl Harbor, marking the United States declaration of war
against Japan, in which the United States entered World War II. The capture of the Philippine
Islands served as a crucial effort to the Empire of Japan in ensuring the control of the Southwest
Pacific during World War II. The Philippine Islands served as a natural barrier between Japan and
resources found in East and Southeast Asia. Hence, the impact of the defense of the Philippines
Island in Bataan served in effectively delaying Japan s conquest of South Asia.
Attack on the Philippines was previously contemplated by the joint Army Navy Orange Plan of
1938, later revised and named War Plan Orange 3 (WPO 3) in 1941. The plan focused on covering
emergency situations that would arise between the US and Japan. Furthermore, a section of this
plan expanded on the element of massing U.S. Army troops to Central Luzon, Philippines, in which
