Time Management Strengths And Weaknesses
Makena Kane College Recommendation Brag Sheet
Academic Strengths
Time Management: I am a film producer, and the most important quality is being a good time
manager. On sets, the producer is the one who keeps everyone on task and to schedule. Having good
time oriented brain has led me to be more proactive in my studies and outside activities. Actually,
having anxiety is one of the helpful factors in making me keep on top of deadlines. By being so on top
of time, I have never turned in homework late due to how my anxiety does prevent me from
procrastinating.
Adaptive: Being at an art school, and the fact that I have moved about 8 times in my life, I have
learned to be very adaptive. No matter the situation, location, or people I am with, I will be able to
work and figure out the problem. This has helped in times like my 64 Film Festival, where we have to
film a 7 minute film over a weekend. I have to adapt to where we film and what the script is like to
make schedules, and problems happen at a moment s notice. Without being able to adapt, I would not
have be capable of producing now 3 (successful, might I add) films in this festival.
Critical Thinking: One of my best academic strengths I believe is how much I am a critical thinker.
When working on group projects especially, I am usually the one who plans the structure of what is
happening and the best way to achieve the ultimate goal. I have a very analytical mindset, where I
work best with organized to do lists, making it

volume in the test tube and the volume of foam, across multiple groups
Table 2 Observations of the foam created
Amount of hydroxide peroxide solution Observations
0.0 No reaction occurred as distilled water was used, hence having no hydrogen peroxide solution.
0.5 A small amount of bubbles were produced as oxygen was converted from hydrogen peroxide and
water by the catalase.
1.0 A moderate of bubbles were produced as oxygen was converted from hydrogen peroxide and water
by the catalase.
2.0 A moderate of bubbles were produced as oxygen was converted from hydrogen peroxide and water
by the catalase.
4.0 The most amount of bubbles was produced in this concentration as oxygen was converted from
hydrogen peroxide and water by the catalase.
6.0 A large amount of bubbles were produced as oxygen was converted from hydrogen peroxide and
water by the catalase.
2.2 Processing Raw Data
Experimental data, that is where measurements are taken and manipulated, always involves variation.
To assert this statistical tools such as the mean and standard and standard deviation as a percentage of
the mean for the volume of foam created and the final volume to find a central tendency and
dispersion.

Subject: Proposal to research international market for SundayCompany
Dear Ling,
International marketing research plays an important role in the identification and development of a
company s strategies for internationalization. It enables a business to identify, evaluate and compare
potential foreign market opportunities and develop a marketing plan. Research also provides a
company with foreign market intelligence to help it anticipate events, take appropriate action, and
prepare for global changes. Can you please give me the feedback about my project so I can improve
my performance for the future work?

Sydney Shield Essay
St Marys entered the Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield this season, and there was some unknown
on how they would perform given they did not participate in either competition last year. Players such
as Bryce Cartwright, Peter Wallace, the Puletua s, and Michael Jennings played for the club as juniors,
with former NRL player, Geoff Daniela, playing in the Ron Massey Cup side. In what is a fantastic
achievement for the club, both teams are just one win away their respective Grand Finals, having
successfully earned a spot in the Preliminary Finals with victories this weekend. To the Intrust Super

Major Prophets Research Paper on Jeremiah
Major Prophets Research Paper on Jeremiah
The Man Jeremiah and his Mission: The Prophet Jeremiah, son of Hilkiah, was of the priesthood race,
and a native of Anathoth, a village in the tribe of Benjamin, within a few miles of Jerusalem, which
had been appointed for the use of the priests, the descendants of Aaron. He was called to the prophetic
office when very young; probably when he was fourteen years of age, and in the thirteenth of the reign
of Josiah, 629 BC. He continued to prophesy till after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans,
and about two years afterwards till he died in Egypt. The name Jeremiah translated from the Hebrew
word yirmeyahu, means Jehovah throws. In addition, throughout the times of Jeremiah, Jehovah ...

Jeremiah s Ministry: The ministry of Jeremiah really belonged to the last 18 years of Josiah s reign.
Judah s probation was then going on, her salvation still possible; though each year Judah s guilt
became heavier, her condemnation became more certain. However, to the eye of man, her punishment
seemed more remote than ever. Jehoiakim was the willing vassal of Egypt, the supreme power. No
wonder that, being an irreligious man, he scorned all of Jeremiah s predictions of utter and early ruin.
It is no wonder that he destroyed Jeremiah s scroll, as merely the record of the outpourings of mere
fanaticism. It was his last chance, his last offer of mercy: and as he threw the torn fragments of the
scroll onto the fire, he symbolically threw there his royal house, his doomed city, the Temple, and all
the people of the land. It was in this fourth year of Jehoiakim that Jeremiah boldly foretold the
greatness of Nebuchadnezzar s empire, and the wide limits over which it would extend. This prophecy
Jer. 25 placed his life in danger, so that the Lord hid him and Baruch. When Jeremiah appears again,
Nebuchadnezzar was advancing upon Jerusalem to execute the prophecy contained in. In addition,
with the death of Jehoiakim, the first period of Judah s history was brought to a close. Though
Jeremiah remained with Zedekiah, and tried to influence him for good, yet Jeremiah s mission was
over. Jeremiah himself testifies that the people of

Essay On Pericles Funeral Oration
In 431 BCE, Pericles delivered his Funeral Oration during the midst of the Peloponnesian War in
order to honor those who died for Athens. This eulogy was given in the middle of the war during a
state celebration where the population gathered to commemorate those who defended Athens.
However, Pericles also used his speech as an opportunity to honor the military and to inspire other
citizens to fill the remaining vacancies in the army. Throughout his speech, Pericles emphasizes the
glory of the Athenian democracy in order to honor the fallen soldiers and to inspire his people to
continue to fight for the future of Athens. Pericles begins his speech by reflecting on the history of the
Athenian democracy and honoring those who fought for their ... Show more content on

By demonstrating the success of the Athenian military, Pericles discusses why these fallen soldiers are
heroes who will live on in history. He mentions, They gave her their lives, to her and to all of us, and
for their own selves they won praises that never grow old, the most splendid of sepulchers not the
sepulcher in which their bodies are laid, but where their glory remains eternal in men s minds, always
there on the right occasion to stir others to speech or to action (76 77). While the men would be
honored and buried together, their real graves live on in the minds of those living in Athens. Not only
will their loved ones remember them, but future soldiers will use them as inspiration to keep fighting
in the war. Similarly, Pericles calls for the remaining citizens to grieve for their loved ones, but also to
consider making new children that will continue to fight for the Athenian legacy. Pericles explains, In
your own homes these new children will prevent you from brooding over those who are no more, and
they will be a help to the city, too, both in filling the empty places, and in assuring her security (77).
By having new children, these families will no longer be fixated on their dead loved ones. These
children will fill the empty places of society by serving the greatness of Athens, especially males who
will be able to join the military. Overall,

Abortion, An Issue With Its New Expansion Of Abortion...
Today, abortion has become another political issue, rather than the intimate choice of a woman.
Abortion isn t a new issue because in the case, Roe vs. Wade, the court s decision was the first step,
where women could do as they wish with their body in a safe, legal manner. So why, after forty one
years since this case was passed is abortion an issue again? Abortion is often presented as if it is new
and people have just started doing it years ago, when in reality the practice of abortion has dated back
to ancient times. Abortion is the trending topic once again because The Affordable Care Act , also
known as Obama care , has made abortion an issue with its new expansion of abortion coverage. This
paper will examine all of the harmful ways abortions can harm your body and also how they may
affect you in a positive and in a negative way. Also, it helps you understand why people decide to get
an abortion and the government has made abortion such a popular topic. Even though you may not
agree with the decision of abortion, you have to have an open mind to other people s decisions and
opinions towards them.

Gay Marriage Rights
Children don t choose their parents when they are born and for those who are adopted they often don t
have a choice at such a young age who their parents are either. These children can only hope for
loving parents no matter what race, sexuality or marital status. With knowing this, LGBT couples
rights when adopting children are still questioned. Even though abuse and divorce, which can
negatively affect a child s mental state, are possibilities in any relationship no matter what sexuality.
For most cases adopted children live happy lives and having gay parents is normal to them. Still, the
rights of LGBT couples being able to adopt children has been debated recently with some saying these
couples should not be allowed to adopt at all, and others saying that LGBT couples should have the
same rights as straight couples when adopting children. A third side to this debate is that too many
children are in foster care and it should be encouraged for every couple to adopt a child if they can.
For the stance that LGBT couples should not be allowed to adopt, nature and religion and the main
arguments. Allowing gay couples the right to adopt children could offend those who believe that
homosexuality is a sin. Many religions believe that being gay is not correct and is punished in the
afterlife. With this viewpoint of the LGBT community it is feared that gay parents will influence their
children to also be gay leading to more sinners in the world. Another religious issue with

Flaubert personifies horses in Madame Bovary to aid in the enhancement of characterization and

Horses act without worry for their actions. Flaubert describes Rodolphe as having trampled on horses
dung (86). Rodolphe unknowingly steps in the excrement from the horse. This mimics horses in their
careless nature, not concerning themselves with what they step in. The horses, like Rodolphe, act
carelessly in where they step and move. As Rodolphe and Emma ride together the horses as they
walked kicked the fallen fir cones in front of them (98). Rodolphe acts without care for the future like
a thoughtless horse he just concerns himself with the present and his primary actions. Horses, like
Rodolphe, act without a concern for the implications of their actions and function in a mainly primal
way. Emma mimics the reckless nature of horses in Madame Bovary. Emma resembles a horse in her
mannerisms. She threw back her white neck (113). Flaubert develops similarities between the reckless
nature of horses and Emma s behaviors which one might see as brash. Emma mirrors the behaviors of
horses. As the nuns try to infuse biblical teachings upon Emma, she pulled up short and the bit slipped

My Professional Development Plan Is Directed Towards...
My personal professional development plan is directed towards helping me become a better teacher to
help students learn and reach their full potential. The skills I am working on to be a better teacher
include, better time management, communication, and having a stronger teacher voice. I plan to work
on these goals throughout my time at York College of Pennsylvania and achieve them by the time I
have completed my student teaching, which will be in three years. If I feel a goal has been achieved
before I complete my student teaching, I plan to add a new goal, while still focusing on my previous
goals to make them even stronger qualities.
My first skill is to have better time management. As of now, I feel I do have strong time management
when dealing with arriving early and planning my day out efficiently. I do have trouble with staying in
the projected time frame during lessons. For example, if I have thirty minutes to teach a lesson, I may
take thirty five to forty minutes. Typically, this is due to introduction of my lesson. I believe students
need to grasp the concept in the beginning of the lesson to be able to build off of the information and
complete activities on their own without the help of other students or myself.
Like I said, as of now, I do have fair time management skills, but they certainly need improvement.
My goal is to be able to plan lessons and keep them in the projected time frame; this includes being
within 2 minutes under or over.

Wesley s Class meeting (Sokhoe) has been made as key mechanism of Church and reformation of

enormous growth.
The point of this research is focused on the Korean Methodist ministry, which is the reason why the
research is going to historically consider the development and deterioration of the Class meeting with

Native American Men Stereotypes Analysis
Short Assignment #2 When discussing characters in film and television, portrayals almost always
contain some sort of stereotype. This is especially true of male characters whose qualities are often
shaped around anger and aggression. We can see individuals across genres shown with repeated
motivations, actions, and appearances. These depictions delve even further into stereotyping when we
begin to examine characters who are also people of color. The media often depicts people of color in
tropes based on their racial and ethnic identities, and these tropes are usually offensive and
demeaning. People of color are usually shown in two ways; more aggressive and violent than the
white hero, or less aggressive and violent without imposing a physical threat. Either depiction is meant

The Tylenol Crisis
Although Johnson and Johnson was a big company at the time of the Tylenol crisis, the company has
never faced a complicated problem as the one that Tylenol was affronting at the time. In addition,

Tylenol was one of the most spectacular success stories in the pharmaceutical industry, because in

Diplomacy As A Communication Process Of International...
In the field of International relations, one of the most important instruments is referred to as
Diplomacy. Diplomacy according to various scholars is extremely important in the process of
implementing a country s foreign policy and its various objectives in the international community.
Some scholars describe diplomacy as a communication process between international actors that seek
through negotiation to resolve certain issues and also to push their foreign policy objectives. Research
states that the act of conducting negotiations between two people or two nations at a large scope is
essential to the upkeep of international affairs. Without diplomacy, some scholars state that much of
the world s affairs would be abolished. Institutions like international organizations would not be
possible, and above all the world would be at a constant state of war. Scholars of international
relations state that it is due to diplomacy that the majority of states exist in harmony. Diplomacy is
split into two types of diplomacy, which are referred to as Traditional Diplomacy and New Diplomacy.
Traditional Diplomacy refers to the diplomatic process only being conducted by Monarchs (kings and
queens) and was seen as a process of pushing their own individual gains and was normally conducted
in secret. New Diplomacy called for the diplomatic process to be more open, it involved government
and non government actors, unlike in traditional diplomacy which only involved government actors

Voting Behavior
Many political science researchers study the forces that drive the vote. One of the earliest, and most
well known, books about election studies is The American Voter. Written in 1960, the book tries to
explain a model that describes what drives Americans to vote the way they do. The model suggests
that social factors determine ones party identification, which determines one s issue positions and
evaluation of candidate s characteristics. These forces all work together to determine how one will
vote. This model may or may not still hold true today, as political researchers are not in agreement as
to what exactly drives the vote. One thing that does remain true, however, is that factors such as social
groups, party identification, issues, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No one really knows what drives the vote, and we probably never will. It does seem, however, that
retrospective evaluations do have a much more significant impact than they were once thought to.
It has been found that issues do not play a significant role in voter choice. The American Voter authors
found that the public is often not well informed about public policy and may not be able to vote on the
issues alone. They also found that for voters to decide who to vote for based on issues three conditions
must first be met. The first is that the voters must hold an opinion on the issue. They must also see
what action the government is taking on the issue, and finally they must be able to see a difference in
issue positions between the two parties. It is highly unlikely that a majority of the American public is
able to meet all three requirements. Another reason why Americans are unable to make decisions
based on issues is that they lack the knowledge and sophistication such a decision requires. Most of
those people who do vote on issues know the candidates stances on the issues and keep their own view
constant over time. (Abramson, Aldrich, Rohde, 179 180)
One issue that is very controversial and that almost everyone has an opinion on is abortion. There are
extremist pro life and pro choice advocates, but most Americans fall somewhere in between. Pro life
activists are very likely to go to the polls, and even

The Importance Of Self Improvement And The Value Of Education
The importance of self improvement and the value of education
A person is not defined by their past and the mistakes that they have made. They are defined by what
obstacles they have gone through and overcome in order to grow into the person that they are today.
Without struggle, there is no progress. No one can self improve unless they are willing and able to
overcome the challenges of life. Two important morals in my life are : always making the room to self
improve, and valuing my education. Through my American story, I plan to share how I learned to
appreciate the meaning of education, and the importance of improving and bettering myself. Guest
presentations and readings of other American s narratives this semester, such as the presentation by
David Delizza, Gary Shtyengart s novel Super Sad True Love Story, The Narrative of Frederick
Douglass , and The chicken in the hen house by David Sedaris, all have made a further emphasis on
aspects relevant to my life and my own story as an American. David Delizza, one of our guest
speakers, provided excellent advice on the topics of self improvement and education. In David s
opinion, education and self improvement are extremely important, and are two factors that have
helped him to accomplish many goals in life. When David was placed on academic probation in
college due to his low GPA, his school asked him to remove himself from the program. He said no and
set out to prove them wrong. The setbacks that David has faced in

Essay On Deer Shot
It was an overcast evening on the 5th of December. Most people were inside, looking at the damp air,
wondering what kind of idiot would be out in this. I wasn t one of those people. I was the idiot in a
rioting deer blind, wondering why the deer had stopped showing up at that blind in the last 5 days.
With 30 minutes left until I could see to shoot, a movement in the distance caught my eye. I pulled up
my binoculars and watched a big 6 point buck appear out of the brush, 75 yards down the road. Most
people would have killed him, right then and there. However, I knew that bigger bucks haunted this
woods than that, so I waited. 15minutes later, he had showed in the small clearing 100 yards in front
of me, like a ghost out of the mist. I Watched that deer eat for a few minutes, hoping that another deer
would show. Then, as I was ready to give up, a movement deep in the woods caught my eye. I
watched a deer walk out, and he mad the other buck look like a ant. I knew it was a buck, and I knew
he was big. I was wondering how I could be sure he was a nice 8, when all of the sudden he turned his
head and 2 snow white popples silhouetted his antlers. I counted 8 points on his head, and began the
process of making a shot. I grabbed my muzzleloader out of the corner. As I put the barrel out the

Essay on Role Of America in Human Trafficking
The trafficking of human beings for slave labor and sexual exploitation is one of the fastest growing
global problems. It has been called the dark side of globalization because an enormous upsurge of
human enslavement has accompanied a border free world economy (Miller). Trafficking in persons is
a transnational crime that touches people in every nation, and even neighborhoods in this country. The
vast reach of human trafficking stunned my own community, when we learned that a 12 year old
Egyptian girl was imprisoned as a domestic slave in the garage of a family home in Irvine, California.
Like many victims of trafficking, she was sold by impoverished parents and transported illegally
across international borders. While in captivity, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is difficult because many governments are reluctant to admit the existence or extent of trafficking
in their countries. Some have no laws that prohibit trafficking and punish traffickers, or programs to
identify, rescue and rehabilitate victims. Others do not enforce existing laws or lack the resources to
effectively combat trafficking. The most powerful tool the Foreign Service relies on to convince
foreign governments to improve their efforts to end human trafficking is the annual Trafficking in
Persons Report ( TIP Report ). The TIP Report, released by the State Department s Office to Monitor
and Combat Trafficking in Persons ( G/TIP Office ), details the extent of human trafficking in each
country. It also suggests specific steps to combat trafficking. Countries that have not made sufficient
efforts are placed on a Special Watch List, and given a period of time within which to commence
action or risk the loss of United States aid (2004 Victims). Following release of the TIP Report, many
governments are motivated to call upon FSO s for assistance in creating sustainable anti trafficking
strategies. Direct engagement with government officials allows FSO s in the field to share model
legislation or suggest ways to strengthen existing laws. They work closely with host governments to
develop culturally sensitive anti trafficking awareness campaigns and victim

Polish Civilians During The World War II
At dawn on the morning of September 1st, 1939, German forces began their invasion and subsequent
occupation of Poland. Initially, the Nazi takeover did not appear to be quite as dangerous or
interruptive as many Poles expected it to be, particularly in urban locales such as Warsaw. However,
as the days went by, the German occupation became much more noticeable within the daily lives of
the Poles. Rations and other such restrictions were placed on the Polish people, eliminating the
remaining bits of pre occupation normalcy from their lives and forcing any Pole who wanted to
survive to circumvent the rules and regulations placed upon them by the Germans. The greatest risk
faced by Polish civilians was death, be it in a death camp or in the cities and towns, where German
forces managed to kill thousands of innocent, unlucky Poles. Documenting these events were writers
William L. Shirer, an American journalist, in his Berlin Diary and Lucyna B. Radlo, a teenage girl
from Poland, in her novel Between Two Evils. The experiences of Polish civilians during the German
occupation and the Poles transition from near normalcy to near death within their daily lives model
how a combination of hard work, creativity, and a stroke of luck can be the key to survival. For the
first few weeks of September in 1939, life for most Polish citizens didn t seem to be too out of the
ordinary. Radlo, whose family and friends were camped out in their Warsaw apartment, testifies to
this, saying that

Ways to Establish a Small Business Essay
In this modern era, being smart academically, having a bachelor or master title cannot guarantee a
person from having a good job with a good salary. Some people don t satisfy with their current work
because they think that the salary is small and they should deserve more, no wonder there are many
people work in places that are very contrast with their study in the past. Nowadays there are many
independent businesses running both online and offline such as online shops, restaurant, saloon, etc.
Some may think that it is just a part time job to have an extra salary, but the truth is, we can get a large

Desires that entrepreneurs possesses can be used as motivations for establishing the business. ( 7
Langkah Membuat Usaha Sendiri , 2012) desires that a person possesses may be a short term such as
successfully establish the business, have clients, to be known by many people or a long term desire
such as having an increasing income every year.
The next crucial thing that needs to be looked at is managing budget for the soon to established
business. A good businessman should be able to calculate on how much money he or she would spend
his or her career. In many cases an amateur businessman tends to miscalculate the budget, and ended
up getting no profit at all. For beginners, there are many ways to obtain enough budgets to start a
business. A small business may require small amount of budget ( two to tem millions) and it is
possible to obtain the money from his or her own savings.( tips mengawali usaha dengan modal kecil,

from close friends, family, or even bank. Some people may think that asking for a loan is somewhat
inappropriate, so another way to acquire the budget is to cooperate with someone else, in other word
having two founders in one business, and automatically the budget will be split in to two. ( Lima cara

Patrick Lencioni s The Five Temptations Of A CEO
The fable, The Five Temptations of a CEO by Patrick Lencioni, is about a man named Andrew who
was promoted to the CEO position of a technology company a year ago and in the morning he has a
board meeting to discuss how the company has been doing during the last year under his direction.
When traveling home on the subway that night he meets the janitor, Charlie, who tells him about the
five temptations of a CEO and how he can avoid falling victim to them if he hasn t already. The reason
for me choosing this book was because of the name. Being the CEO of any company is a prestigious
honor as well as a huge accomplishment in life, but what I was most intrigued about were the
temptations most CEO s fall victim to during their careers. Maybe after reading this it can help me
avoid these common mistakes. When we first see Andrew in his office, he is very nervous about his
company board meeting the next morning, because it makes a full year of him being CEO and he has
to explain how the company has been operating in the past year when he knows that is hasn t be
preforming at its best. Instead of leaving work as his usual time, 7 o clock, he left later because he was

Atlantic Computer is a leading developer company of High Tech Servers; it has recently started
manufacturing Basic servers and now company is looking to decide the pricing of the servers based on
the four models given in the case i.e status Quo pricing, competition based pricing, cost plus pricing
and then there is value in pricing.
Situation analysis
For this situation, Atlantic Computer is a producer of servers and technology products.
Two business sections exist in the server business: High Performance Servers and Basic Servers.
Atlantic Computers has held a 20% offer of the High Performance market with their Radia servers
being their head item. Then again, the business sector for Basic servers is developing and this has
brought about Atlantic Computers to create and present a Basic Server called the Tronn and software
called the Performance Enhancing Server Accelerator (PESA). The Tronn was created basically for the
developing US business market open door for basic servers. The PESA would permit the Tronn to
perform up to four times quicker than its standard speed and make regularly asked for data more
available. Along these lines, packaging the Tronn and PESA appeared well and good. Atlantic is not
worried that the Tronn will be viewed as a substitute for its High Performance servers. They are
looking to decide a price of the servers to introduce in the market before the trade show.

Digital Dentistry
Over the years, the field of dentistry has seen significant technological growth. One of these
advancements is digital dentistry.
Digital dentistry refers to dental technology that incorporates digital components as opposed to
mechanical or electrical components alone. These could include (but are not limited to):
Computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing and intraoral imaging
Computer aided implant dentistry
Digital radiography both intraoral and extraoral
Lasers
Caries diagnosis
Electrical and surgical handpieces
Occlusion and TMJ analysis and diagnosis
Photography both extraoral and intraoral
Digital patient education
Shade matching
Advantages of Digital Dentistry
The goal of digital dentistry is to ensure that dentistry services provided to patients are faster, better
and more comfortable. However, specifically speaking, there are three major advantages of digital
dentistry:
1. It improves the efficiency of dental services both in terms of cost and time.
2. It improves accuracy as compared to traditional methods.
3. It improves the level of patient outcome.
Adoption and Hurdles
While there is no doubt that digital dentistry has a lot to offer and is expected to continue to change
the face of dentistry in the years to come, the biggest limitation to its rapid adoption is cost. Adopting
the new technology, acquiring training in its use and implementation and offering the services to
patients can require significant

Nonverbal Communication And Nonverbal Behavior
Research Paper 1 Nonverbal Communication Nonverbal communication includes all aspects of
communication other than words (Wood, 2013).
Nonverbal Communication Indispensable Compliment of Oral and Written Communication Dinica s
article in Procedia, Social and Behavioral Sciences from 2014 researched how nonverbal behavior
aids communication by observing how animals communicate, since humans are the only species to use
language as their main form of communication. While there were some similarities between animal s
and human s nonverbal behaviors, they discovered that thanks to language, humans have adapted to
using their words to communicate information more and pick up on less nonverbal cues. Animal
communication was limited based on their body features and the range of ways they could use their
bodies to communicate different things. It talks about how children learn nonverbal communication
first and learn to pick up on cues as a young kid until they become old enough to use full sentences.
This makes it so many of the nonverbal cues are learned at a young age from children watching their
parents communicate. It is believed that women have a better ability at perceiving nonverbal cues
since they are often the ones communicating with young children. The article then goes on to discuss
different areas of nonverbal communication.
The first area is body language. Similar to class it mentions how facial expressions are great for
communicating emotions and posture can

Native American Natives
Native Americans Native Americans roamed the land and did as they pleased, almost ancient
technology. That was until white settlers came in and took away their land and buffalo. Whites forced
them to adapt to white culture and learn how to farm wheat, and go to school. Whites even put them
on indian reservations that had poor soil so their farming techniques were difficult.. Indians were
nomads, they chased their food and never stayed in one home for too long. They used older
technology like smoke signals. The finding of the buffalo was remarkable, they could kill the game

act that allowed authorization of president to move Native Americans onto reservations. To make
matters worse, they then enforced Indians to basically become whites they could do this with
Assimilation. Assimilation is trying to get one to change or become like one s culture. Many settlers,
thought it was actually fair because they get 160 and so do the indians plus annuities yearly. White
settlers probably thought they got the short end of the deal because indians got land and money. They
thought they were helping the Indians with their farming and newer technology. That the killing of the

Blackberry By Sylvia Plath Essay
Sylvia Plath s poem, Blackberrying, at first glance, suggests that the message of the poem will be
about picking blackberries. However, the poem s message is much deeper and far more complex than
that alone. By the use of expressive, colorful, and detailed imagery and language, parallels between
blackberries and Plath are made since it is evident that Plath is not only the speaker of the poem but
the only human character in the story, as well. Within these parallels, Blackberrying dramatizes
several areas of life and death such as in the emotions of loneliness and hopelessness, the struggle in
dealing with a void, as well as life s cycles and milestones. To begin with, there are seven different
colors that Plath mentions throughout the poem which add to its expressive, obviously colorful, and
detailed imagery and language. It is important to be aware of each color as they each add meaning and
message to the parallels. These colors are red blue, green, black, orange, blue green, pewter, and
white. One example of how one of these colors adds meaning and message to a parallel is, in the
poem, the dark, deep color of the blackberry is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

that is drawn symbolizing that life, too, always moves forward, no matter

  • 2. Time Management Strengths And Weaknesses Makena Kane College Recommendation Brag Sheet Academic Strengths Time Management: I am a film producer, and the most important quality is being a good time manager. On sets, the producer is the one who keeps everyone on task and to schedule. Having good time oriented brain has led me to be more proactive in my studies and outside activities. Actually, having anxiety is one of the helpful factors in making me keep on top of deadlines. By being so on top of time, I have never turned in homework late due to how my anxiety does prevent me from procrastinating. Adaptive: Being at an art school, and the fact that I have moved about 8 times in my life, I have learned to be very adaptive. No matter the situation, location, or people I am with, I will be able to work and figure out the problem. This has helped in times like my 64 Film Festival, where we have to film a 7 minute film over a weekend. I have to adapt to where we film and what the script is like to make schedules, and problems happen at a moment s notice. Without being able to adapt, I would not have be capable of producing now 3 (successful, might I add) films in this festival. Critical Thinking: One of my best academic strengths I believe is how much I am a critical thinker. When working on group projects especially, I am usually the one who plans the structure of what is happening and the best way to achieve the ultimate goal. I have a very analytical mindset, where I work best with organized to do lists, making it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Players such as Bryce Cartwright, Peter Wallace, the Puletua s, and Michael Jennings played for the club as juniors, with former NRL player, Geoff Daniela, playing in the Ron Massey Cup side. • 6. Major Prophets Research Paper on Jeremiah Major Prophets Research Paper on Jeremiah The Man Jeremiah and his Mission: The Prophet Jeremiah, son of Hilkiah, was of the priesthood race, and a native of Anathoth, a village in the tribe of Benjamin, within a few miles of Jerusalem, which had been appointed for the use of the priests, the descendants of Aaron. He was called to the prophetic office when very young; probably when he was fourteen years of age, and in the thirteenth of the reign of Josiah, 629 BC. He continued to prophesy till after the destruction of Jerusalem by the Chaldeans, and about two years afterwards till he died in Egypt. The name Jeremiah translated from the Hebrew word yirmeyahu, means Jehovah throws. In addition, throughout the times of Jeremiah, Jehovah ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jeremiah s Ministry: The ministry of Jeremiah really belonged to the last 18 years of Josiah s reign. Judah s probation was then going on, her salvation still possible; though each year Judah s guilt became heavier, her condemnation became more certain. However, to the eye of man, her punishment seemed more remote than ever. Jehoiakim was the willing vassal of Egypt, the supreme power. No wonder that, being an irreligious man, he scorned all of Jeremiah s predictions of utter and early ruin. It is no wonder that he destroyed Jeremiah s scroll, as merely the record of the outpourings of mere fanaticism. It was his last chance, his last offer of mercy: and as he threw the torn fragments of the scroll onto the fire, he symbolically threw there his royal house, his doomed city, the Temple, and all the people of the land. It was in this fourth year of Jehoiakim that Jeremiah boldly foretold the greatness of Nebuchadnezzar s empire, and the wide limits over which it would extend. This prophecy Jer. 25 placed his life in danger, so that the Lord hid him and Baruch. When Jeremiah appears again, Nebuchadnezzar was advancing upon Jerusalem to execute the prophecy contained in. In addition, with the death of Jehoiakim, the first period of Judah s history was brought to a close. Though Jeremiah remained with Zedekiah, and tried to influence him for good, yet Jeremiah s mission was over. Jeremiah himself testifies that the people of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This eulogy was given in the middle of the war during a state celebration where the population gathered to commemorate those who defended Athens. However, Pericles also used his speech as an opportunity to honor the military and to inspire other citizens to fill the remaining vacancies in the army. He mentions, They gave her their lives, to her and to all of us, and for their own selves they won praises that never grow old, the most splendid of sepulchers not the sepulcher in which their bodies are laid, but where their glory remains eternal in men s minds, always there on the right occasion to stir others to speech or to action (76 77). While the men would be honored and buried together, their real graves live on in the minds of those living in Athens. Not only will their loved ones remember them, but future soldiers will use them as inspiration to keep fighting in the war. Similarly, Pericles calls for the remaining citizens to grieve for their loved ones, but also to consider making new children that will continue to fight for the Athenian legacy. Pericles explains, In your own homes these new children will prevent you from brooding over those who are no more, and they will be a help to the city, too, both in filling the empty places, and in assuring her security (77). By having new children, these families will no longer be fixated on their dead loved ones. These children will fill the empty places of society by serving the greatness of Athens, especially males who will be able to join the military. Overall, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Abortion, An Issue With Its New Expansion Of Abortion... Today, abortion has become another political issue, rather than the intimate choice of a woman. Abortion isn t a new issue because in the case, Roe vs. Wade, the court s decision was the first step, where women could do as they wish with their body in a safe, legal manner. So why, after forty one years since this case was passed is abortion an issue again? Abortion is often presented as if it is new and people have just started doing it years ago, when in reality the practice of abortion has dated back to ancient times. Abortion is the trending topic once again because The Affordable Care Act , also known as Obama care , has made abortion an issue with its new expansion of abortion coverage. This paper will examine all of the harmful ways abortions can harm your body and also how they may affect you in a positive and in a negative way. Also, it helps you understand why people decide to get an abortion and the government has made abortion such a popular topic. Even though you may not agree with the decision of abortion, you have to have an open mind to other people s decisions and opinions towards them. Even though abuse and divorce, which can negatively affect a child s mental state, are possibilities in any relationship no matter what sexuality. For most cases adopted children live happy lives and having gay parents is normal to them. Still, the rights of LGBT couples being able to adopt children has been debated recently with some saying these couples should not be allowed to adopt at all, and others saying that LGBT couples should have the same rights as straight couples when adopting children. A third side to this debate is that too many children are in foster care and it should be encouraged for every couple to adopt a child if they can. For the stance that LGBT couples should not be allowed to adopt, nature and religion and the main arguments. Allowing gay couples the right to adopt children could offend those who believe that homosexuality is a sin. Many religions believe that being gay is not correct and is punished in the afterlife. The model suggests that social factors determine ones party identification, which determines one s issue positions and evaluation of candidate s characteristics. No one really knows what drives the vote, and we probably never will. It does seem, however, that retrospective evaluations do have a much more significant impact than they were once thought to. It has been found that issues do not play a significant role in voter choice. The American Voter authors found that the public is often not well informed about public policy and may not be able to vote on the issues alone. They also found that for voters to decide who to vote for based on issues three conditions must first be met. The first is that the voters must hold an opinion on the issue. They must also see what action the government is taking on the issue, and finally they must be able to see a difference in issue positions between the two parties. It is highly unlikely that a majority of the American public is able to meet all three requirements. Another reason why Americans are unable to make decisions based on issues is that they lack the knowledge and sophistication such a decision requires. Most of those people who do vote on issues know the candidates stances on the issues and keep their own view constant over time. The greatest risk faced by Polish civilians was death, be it in a death camp or in the cities and towns, where German forces managed to kill thousands of innocent, unlucky Poles. Documenting these events were writers William L. Shirer, an American journalist, in his Berlin Diary and Lucyna B. Radlo, a teenage girl from Poland, in her novel Between Two Evils. The experiences of Polish civilians during the German occupation and the Poles transition from near normalcy to near death within their daily lives model how a combination of hard work, creativity, and a stroke of luck can be the key to survival. For the first few weeks of September in 1939, life for most Polish citizens didn t seem to be too out of the ordinary. Radlo, whose family and friends were camped out in their Warsaw apartment, testifies to this, saying that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nonverbal Communication Indispensable Compliment of Oral and Written Communication Dinica s article in Procedia, Social and Behavioral Sciences from 2014 researched how nonverbal behavior aids communication by observing how animals communicate, since humans are the only species to use language as their main form of communication. While there were some similarities between animal s and human s nonverbal behaviors, they discovered that thanks to language, humans have adapted to using their words to communicate information more and pick up on less nonverbal cues. Animal communication was limited based on their body features and the range of ways they could use their bodies to communicate different things. It talks about how children learn nonverbal communication first and learn to pick up on cues as a young kid until they become old enough to use full sentences. This makes it so many of the nonverbal cues are learned at a young age from children watching their parents communicate. It is believed that women have a better ability at perceiving nonverbal cues since they are often the ones communicating with young children. The article then goes on to discuss different areas of nonverbal communication. The first area is body language. That was until white settlers came in and took away their land and buffalo. Whites forced them to adapt to white culture and learn how to farm wheat, and go to school. • 39. Blackberry By Sylvia Plath Essay Sylvia Plath s poem, Blackberrying, at first glance, suggests that the message of the poem will be about picking blackberries. However, the poem s message is much deeper and far more complex than that alone. By the use of expressive, colorful, and detailed imagery and language, parallels between blackberries and Plath are made since it is evident that Plath is not only the speaker of the poem but the only human character in the story, as well. Within these parallels, Blackberrying dramatizes several areas of life and death such as in the emotions of loneliness and hopelessness, the struggle in dealing with a void, as well as life s cycles and milestones. To begin with, there are seven different colors that Plath mentions throughout the poem which add to its expressive, obviously colorful, and detailed imagery and language. It is important to be aware of each color as they each add meaning and message to the parallels. These colors are red blue, green, black, orange, blue green, pewter, and white.
