The Effects Of Tobacco Smoking
Although free of nicotine, marijuana smoke certainly pollutes the lungs. And since tobacco smoking
has been linked to respiratory injury, cancer, emphysema, heart disease, complications of pregnancy,
low birth weight, and other ills, it makes sense to worry whether smoking marijuana might prove
equally harmful (Mack and Joy). Marijuana joints have been shown to deliver at least four times as
much tar to the lungs as tobacco cigarettes of equivalent weight. This difference is due to the lack of
filters on joints and because marijuana smokers typically inhale a larger volume of smoke and take it
more deeply into the lungs than tobacco smokers do. Marijuana smokers also tend to hold smoke in
for a time before exhaling, exposing the lungs to even greater levels of cancer causing agents. Clinical
studies suggest that people who smoke marijuana are more likely to develop respiratory illnesses than
are nonsmokers. A survey of outpatient medical visits at a large health maintenance organization
(HMO) found that marijuana users were more likely to seek help for respiratory illnesses than people
who smoked tobacco (Mack and Joy). While cannabis is harmful to the brain and lungs of the user, it
is also harmful to the ones around the user. It has been shown that the effects of using cannabis are
similar to those of alcohol and benzodiazepines and include slowing of reaction time, motor
incoordination, specific defects in short term memory, difficulty in concentration and particular

The Drilling Sites Will Be Located Near The Ogallala Aquifer
One of the things that the commission need to keep in mind while deciding will be that the drilling
sites will be located near the Ogallala Aquifer. This is one of the biggest aquifers in the world which
means polluting the aquifer could have a large impact on hundreds of people s drinking water. The
commission has assured the community that they have used better equipment to protect the pipes so
they do not leak. However, the members of the community have little to no faith after seeing how
filthy the water still is that s in the ground. However, with the new equipment the oil company has
promised to use the Nebraska residents might feel safer (Hayden). Along with dirty water, community
members all over the country have concerns that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the key factors in solving the problem would be to put in place much stricter regulations for
companies to follow. If the government made companies work in a more responsible they would have
to pay more attention to where they are drilling, leading to less drilling sites in neighborhoods or close
to people s homes. The regulations on zoning could cause a chain reaction of problem solvers, if the
fracking wells start to be farther away from homes the water that people are drinking will less likely
be contaminated. For Oklahoma there are not yet regulations on where to frack like other states.
Drilling is taking place on what is called basement rock, this is believed to be the cause of the
tremblors. This is just one place where a little change in law can be a big change for a community.
Another easy solution would be regulating the chemicals companies are allowed to use, the chemical
cocktails used are commonly filled with acids, detergents and poisons that are not regulated by federal
laws. Natalie Starkey, a writer for The Guardian, writes to explain that even areas that are not prone to
earthquakes may still experience them due to drilling. Companies have denied having any ties to the
rising number of quakes. The earthquakes that will appear will be very dangerous in most cases. The
lack of regulation can be tied back into this issue since there are no laws on where companies can

False Christian Teaching
Many people can teach the Gospel, but few can present it in a way of compelling and authentic
manner. Through his teachings to the Ephesians, Ignatius provides beneficial concepts for Christianity
that are crucial for the Church to pursue. He commends the Ephesians to live in unity and communion
with God, respect the authority placed over them, and stray from false teachings. His thought
provoking ideas are absent from believers today and should be more vividly displayed in the lives of
Christians.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same
function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others
(New International Version, Romans 12:4 5). Christians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ignatius praised the Ephesians for staying strong in their faith when false teachers came to cripple
their beliefs. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep s clothing, but inward they are
ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits (New International Version, Matthew 7:15). It is
difficult when a convincing person attempts to change your hopes and beliefs because they can be so
sly and can twist thoughts. However, sticking to what is true, holy, and pleasing to God is the only
way to dodge the destruction of the Christian mind. False prophets and teachers have no place in the
lives of Christians and should not be able to sway strong beliefs and claims. The Church today is
victim to fictitious instruction and must remain faithful to what they know is true in God the Father.
Ignatius teachings to the Ephesians will ultimately benefit the Church if they are lived out everyday.
He instructed them to live as one in Christ Jesus, to respect the authority over them, and to stray from
false prophets who seek to corrupt their minds. If Christians today began to pursue these ideas, the
world as a whole would benefit greatly because Christ would shine so brightly in and through them.
Ignatius teachings not only left an impact on the Ephesians, but continue to impact the Church as they
are applied to Christians everyday

Analysis Of The Husband s Secret By Liane Moriarty
The following lines are from Liane Moriarty s novel, the Husband s Secret. Rachel s best friend Marla
is hosting a Tupperware party in which Rachel has reluctantly agreed to attend. Rachel has avoided
attending parties since her seventeen year old daughter Janie was found murdered numerous years
ago; she hates the way people speak to her, monitoring everything they say in order to not cause her
more pain. Marla, who does not tip toe around Rachel, reminded her that Janie would have loved
Tupperware because she was always so organized. And on she went about the room, serving food and
compliments, fixing every guest with that strange piercing gaze of hers, so that by the time she
finished and was ready to do her demonstration, everyone obediently

A Place On The Page Essay
A Place on the Page Just north of Chillicothe, Ohio, the land changes from flat, black soil farmland to
rolling, coal filled hills. The place becomes increasingly familiar to me the green sign for Jesus In the
Hills Camp, the brown sign for Leo Petroglyph, friends and relative s homes and as I navigate the
slopes and curves that lead me back to my childhood home in Jackson, a pleasant nostalgia begins to
take some of the tension out of the muscles around my neck and shoulders. After a decade of twisting
and contorting myself into an unsuitable life in Christian ministry, I began to write and my attention
turned back to my home, to that familiar landscape. I found the beauty in the cultural distinctiveness
once taken for granted, even held in contempt. I had been fed, clothed and educated by money made
from mining coal, and I am the product of a family that valued work and the love of the written word
as a conduit for understanding and contextualizing our place in the world. And so, this is what I write
about, the place and the people I know. Although I am not a Southern writer, I am drawn to writers
from the South because of their distinctive voices and desire never to divorce characters from place.
Their stories and characters struggle with the human condition generational poverty, extractive
economies, and familial dysfunction in the same way that I witnessed people going about their lives in
Jackson. My hour long bus ride to school each day included a stop on the

Summary Of The Short Existence Of Francis Macomber
Ernest Hemingway has made a magnum opus of various mystery in his story The Short Existence of
Francis Macomber . The riddle does not reveal itself to the pursuer until the very closure of the story,
yet it leaves a lot of creative energy. Around the finish of this story Margaret Macomber butchers her
significant other unexpectedly, she tries to spare him from being battered by extensive Bison while
they were on a safari in Africa. The mystery is paying little respect to whether the killing was
inadvertent, or purposeful. It was purposeful, they would have many proof in the story to give you a
reasonable intention too.
What makes this riddle uncommon is that Hemingway gives the pursuer different events that would
lead the pursuer to devise a commendable rationale, yet human impulse tells the pursuer that this
executing couldn t have been deliberate. From a just target investigation of the story, the pursuer
would see altogether additionally supporting the theory of a deliberate executing rather than a
coincidental one. The snippets of data supporting Margaret executed Francis intentionally can best be
seen when watching and focus the foundation information on both Francis Macomber, and Margaret
herself. (Hemingway 1402). What is in like manner key is that Margot and Francis have altogether
different personalities. This is doubtlessly watched when the storyteller states, (Hemingway 1402).
With this little measure of foundation data, the intention in a deliberate

Roxana is the cause for the loss of her children, because she continues to stay with her husband when
he becomes an irresponsible, poor man, indicating how she is a selfish mother. She talks about the
different chain of causes, which leads her to the loss of her children. In the beginning of the novel, she
talks about how his business started to decline and that he had to shut down his trade. With five
children, they began to struggle, especially him. Instead of him buying a house and providing for his
family, he neglected it, liv d on as he did before, kept his Horses and Men, rid every Day out to the

Roxana always wanted him to leave, but she thought that if he did, he would starve his family, and he
did. She says, ... I was dreadfully frighted at last, and the more when I look d into my own
Circumstances, and considered the Condition which I was left; with five Children, and not one
Farthing Subsistance for them, other than about seventy Pound in Money, and what few things of
Value I had about me, which, tho considerable in themselves, were yet nothing to feed a Family, and
for a length of Time too (52). Here, she noticed that he is really gone, and now she is scared, because
she cannot take care of her and her children without him. This chain of event connects to her husband
s negligence. Since she made the decision to stay with her husband, despite the hardships that he
placed his family and himself in, he left her. So, she cannot take care of her nor her children because
she is not familiar with being an independent woman living in a male dominant world. This cause
could have been avoided if she were to leave him when she realized that he was becoming broke and
irresponsible; however, she was dependent on him because he made the money and she worked in the
private sphere. Overall, this connects to Hobbes philosophy of the chain of events, because her
husband s negligence and him leaving leads to the next event that brings us closer to the loss of her
children the will, and, because of her husband leaving her, she had to reach out for

With my experience so far on that unit, one the barrier of interdisciplinary team work is that, it involve
so many aspects of hospital bureaucracy and protocols to follow which can cause delays in patient
care. For example, sometime l will get a direct admission to the floor and the patient will be
complaining of pain but the attending physician has not put orders in the system yet. According to the
hospital policy, I needed to call the doctor put the order in and incase the patient have a pressure ulcer,
I will call the wound care nurse to come and assess the patient also. I understand that all this policies
is to protect patient safety, but so many times l would page the doctor and he would take hours to
respond. With this various protocol, it is causing delay to attend to patient needs. Working in
collaboration with other healthcare professionals; involve a lot of time consuming, which is affecting
patients to get care in time. Miscommunication between interdisciplinary teams is another barrier that
is affecting effective health care delivery. A smooth communication between healthcare professionals
would increase quality health care and safety. If there are problems in how healthcare professional

Commodification Of College Sports Essay
Colleges in the United States previously focused solely on education, while emphasizing their
character and minds. They focused on the student as an athlete making that their main focus and
concern. Together, the idea of athletics and academics complemented each other. While the focus
remained on the student, the individual was able to learn valuable skills that would assist them in the
real world. Since then, the focus of college education has changed to concentrating on the idea of
entertainment. A well rounded student athlete is no longer expected since they are sacrificed for the
sake of the audience s enjoyment. Today, athletic programs exist as entities, pretending to act in the
best interest of the institution. Carson and Rinehart argue that the disappearance of the college student
athlete has occurred for numerous reasons. Primarily, colleges began to encompass the idea of
athletics and their benefits directly towards the institution. This means that the focus is now aimed
towards the financial enterprise of athletics directly through ticket sales, broadcasting, merchandising
and much more. College ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Dover Beach Tone
Dover Beach is a poem that was written by Matthew Arnold which describes a speaker s view on faith
slowly fading from the world in which he lives. The primary purpose of this poem is to use imagery to
paint a picture of the dying religious presence in the world that the speaker finds himself in. This is the
central message that Matthew Arnold is trying to get across to his audience. An excellent example of
how Arnold translates this to the reader is how the tone of the first eight lines and the tone of the final
three lines of the poem differ from each other. The first eight lines of Dover Beach sets the initial tone
for the beginning of the poem. They are used to paint a picture within the reader s head and to present
a specific tone in the beginning. The speaker gives the reader a ... Show more content on

opposite tone that the initially eight lines did. Instead of being in a calm, tranquil place, the reader is
told, And we are here as on a darkling plain (Arnold 35). The speaker has taken us from a tone of
tranquility and joyfulness to instead one of hopelessness and gloom. The final two lines depict death
and blind violence, Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight / Where ignorant armies clash
by night (Arnold 36,37). The speaker specifically describes the armies as clashing by night , in order
to suggest that with the blackness of night the fighters are most likely not only killing their enemies
but also their allies. The speaker has seen the world s dying religious faith and has come to accept that
times are changing and that means that chaos is coming. This change of thought is the primary

Who can understand modern warfare?
War has without a doubt changed extremely from what the term originally meant. War is already hard
to define, according to Clausewitz, war is an act of force intended to compel our opponents to fulfil
our will... a continuation of political intercourse with a mixture of other means (Michael Sheehan,
2014, 217). More specifically, war was between countries/states and it involved open armed conflict.
But war cannot be defined like this anymore in our modern times.
With open conflict between nations and non nation organizations, for example the War on Terrorism,
the definition above is no longer fully true. A better definition would be Hedley Bull s, organised
violence carried on by political units against each other (Michael Sheehan, 2014, 218). Thus if the
definition of war and how it s waged in the 21st century changed, theoretical approaches best suited
conceptually and analytically that can explain and understand modern war has also changed.
Ironically, the theoretical approaches that seem to be best suited to understand and explain modern
war are two of the oldest theoretical theories; Realism and Liberalism. But which of these two is more
applicable; both have their strengths in relation to understanding and explaining modern conflict, but
Liberalism is bar

Though it may not be a legal commitment, but days when an emergency situation is at hand healthcare
staff should make use of good ethical practice and be present for work.
Administering the wrong prescription for a patient can be viewed as a negligent act as well as a bad

existence of poor ethical standards. If nurse maintained a high standard and value towards occupation,
the right medication would have been giving to the patient.

Thomas Aquinas Views On Free Will
Free will is defined as the ability to choose and think voluntarily without the constraint or necessity of
faith. Thomas Aquinas says that the will is what allows you to chose from one thing or another. The
power by which we are moved to obtain that which we desire is the will. Free will is the desire of
good. It is not simply the matter of apprehending the good and then just sitting there and looking at it.
It is an actual desire of the good. It is a will to have the good; to have that happiness. It is an appetite
of power but it is a rational appetite of power.
Free will is the freedom to chose. It is aiming to act in what you think is best for you. Free will

consequence so do not do this. Aquinas says people have free will and therefore can chose. In this case
the student should choose not to cheat because he or she does not want that punishment. Aquinas also
mentions that all of the things including , arguments trying to convince people, giving advice,
appealing to their emotions, exhortations, are ways that influence people and do not necessarily appeal
to them. It is not necessarily just convincing them of the truth. It is just simply showing them if you do
this bad thing then you would get punished or if you do something good then you would get rewarded
but this would only make sense if people have free will and therefore can make free choices. People

Political Influence Of The Gang Of Four Essay
In October 1st 1949, after 8 years war of resistance against Japan, The people s Republic of China was
founded by the lead of Chairman Mao, which we call the New China . After 1949, China has been
through many political movements. The most famous movements among others were the ideological
transformation movement; great proletarian cultural revolution; The smash of the gang of four and the
reform and opening up policy, etc. All the articles or books I have read explains those movements
from a different angle. In the following section, I will explain the specific movement in two ways the
ordinary history book and the approach from the article, which can t be found in Chinese network.
The Political Influence of Feminism the smash of the gang of four
In the Chinese high school history book, we always learned that the culture revolution was
implemented by Chairman Mao by the influence of Soviet Union. The history book writes: The
Cultural Revolution, called the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution , is a movement by Mao Zedong
s order and launched by the counter revolutionary groups, which brought the serious disaster to the
party, the state and the people of all nationalities. (Here is my personal translation of the Chinese text)
So, who are the counter revolutionary groups? We never talked specifically on this subject in the
history class. During my research, I came across an article called The truth of Culture Revolution by
people education press. It writes:

Listeriaia Meningitis Research Paper
Listeriosis is predominantly a food borne illness caused by the ubiquitous Gram positive bacterium
Listeria monocytogenes, initially recognized as a foodborne pathogen in the early 1980s. People most
prone to the disease are pregnant women, newborns, elderly, and those with HIV or other diseases that
compromise immunity. Listeria infections are associated with a high mortality rate, thus effective
treatment and prevention are essential. Antimicrobial therapy Successful treatment of listeriosis with
ampicillin or penicillin as a monotherapy has been reported in the medical literature. Nevertheless,

The bacteriemic and meningitic forms of listeriosis can be cured, but serious complications can ensue
despite prompt antimicrobial therapy. After the infection of central nervous systems, sequelae such as
strabismus, hydrocephalus and retardation may arise. Hence the best approach is to prevent listeroisis
from the get go. General recommendations for prevention are the same as for other foodborne
infections, and include thorough cooking of raw food from animal sources, careful washing of raw
vegetables before cooking, the avoidance of unpasteurized milk, as well as adequate hand hygiene.
Those at increased risk of acquiring listeriosis should refrain from eating soft cheeses, refrigerated
pâtes, refrigerated smoked seafood, meat spreads, luncheon meats and deli meats (unless they are
cooked until steaming hot). Cross contamination of other foods, utensils and food preparation surfaces

Chaos And Disorganization In Station Eleven
When defining madness, people often point toward the words crazy or delusional, but when I think of
madness, I think of a state of chaos and disorganization. To many characters in the book Station
Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel, chaos is a part of life, especially after a man called the prophet is
introduced into their lives. After a flu pandemic breaks out, ninety nine percent of the human
population perishes. Without electricity, transportation, or a cure, the 1% of humanity that is left must
either fight for supplies or work together. One man decides that the best way to get what he wants is to
force it from people by murdering them, kidnapping their loved ones, or abusing them. He gains
power through force and intimidation, while saying that he is good and that he and his people were
saved not only to spread the light , but to be the light. (60) This man was called the prophet by all
because he stated that he was guided by visions and signs, and prophetic dreams. (125) The reason the
prophet believes this comes from his childhood and upbringing right before and ... Show more content

exactly why the prophet believes that he and his people are the light. Although he believes that he is
doing good in the world, he is creating madness by destroying groups of people, destroying shelters,
and destroying lives. The prophet acts contrarily to his words. Instead of creating peace and
awareness, he chooses to create violence and harm to the people left after the flu pandemic. To many,
this behavior would seem unreasonable and crazy, but to the people who follow the prophet, it seems

The Impact Of Tajikistan On The United States Of The...
Tajikistan gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and in its short life has already seen
considerable amounts of turmoil. When it was first declared a sovereign nation it was plunged very
quickly in to civil war. The war led to a quick decline in the nation s economy. This war crippled the
nation leaving Tajikistan very weak in the June of 1997 when the war finally drew to a close. This
civil war weakened Tajikistan s legitimate economy and left many people to rely on the revenues of
illicit opiate trade . Tajikistan is slowly recovering from the effects of becoming a new nation, plagued
with war and drug problems early in its life, and this requires the government to find a way to end the
drug usage and distribution problem that grips the country along with the corruption of the state in an
attempt to improve the economy and living conditions of Tajikistan. There are many contributing
factors to the perfect storm of sorts that lead to the rapid increase in Tajikistan s status as a drug state.
One of the most important of these is the proximity of Tajikistan to Afghanistan. This proximity
allowed for Afghanistan to take advantage of Tajikistan in the midst of civil unrest giving the people
of the poverty stricken economy an easy way to make quick money. This was made easier for
Afghanistan by Tajikistan s lack of border regulations, allowing drugs to easily be transferred between
the two countries. Afghanistan shares a 1,200 km border with Afghanistan and

Rama s Quest For Sita, Justice And For Dharma
The tale of Sugriva in the Ramayana is crucial to Rama s quest for Sita, justice and for Dharma. The
story serves a number of purposes within the Hindu epic such as giving the reader an understanding of
the relationship between brothers, friends, and rulers as well as giving us a complicated but important
look at a different side of Rama. Sugriva s story within the context of the Ramayana is quite different
than the others because of a few controversial topics and questions that come up while reading it. All
of them pertain to Rama and his development not only as the leader of the state but as a god. Rama,
the epitome of virtue and valor, is the incarnation of the Hindu god, Vishnu. As this incarnate of the
most widely praised Hindu god, there are certain qualities that are expected of him. These qualities are
exemplified throughout the Ramayana with the exception of one or two acts within Sugriva s story.
Rama s role in this tale seems to be a blemish on his otherwise virtuous and spotless history. I will first
present a synopsis of this tale in order to build a foundation for my argument that Rama is actually
justified in his actions with Sugriva, and towards Vali, which are so easily condemned as not god like.
Sugriva is the brother of Vali, the ruler of the kingdom of Kishkindha. Kishkindha is the home of the
Vanaras, a species of monkeys with human qualities who later aid Rama in retrieving his wife, Sita.
The kingdom of Kishkindha was disturbed one day by the Mayavi, a

Comparing Aging In King Lear And Birdman
William Shakespeare, through his play King Lear, and Alejandro G. Iñárritu, through his 2014 film
Birdman, both portray characters who reflect on their lives and become obsessed with leaving a
lasting legacy, resulting in eventual self destruction. In his madness, Lear reflects on how he believes
he was not a good king during his reign, hence affecting his legacy after his inevitable death, while
Riggan Thomson s (Michael Keaton) play is his attempt at remaining relevant. Shakespeare s use of
soliloquies and Iñárritu s use of Riggan s inner voice also both give the audience insight into the mind
of the two characters. At the pinnacle of his madness, as Lear realises that he has become a weak and
despised old man and regrets his reign for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both Lear and Riggan are arrogant, egotistical and ultimately ignorant to the surrounding world.
Iñárritu and Shakespeare utilise the dialogue of other characters towards the protagonists, in albeit
different ways, to show this. Shakespeare utilises the Fool to provide commentary for the audience. In
the court of the king, the Fool s role was to provide entertainment through comedy, but Shakespeare
portrays him as the only character telling Lear the truth and thus this is an example of dramatic irony.
Through his anecdotes and commentary, the Fool reveals to Lear the truth, but in his ignorance the
king does not acknowledge this. Iñárritu demonstrates this through the audial and visual manifestation
of Riggan s younger self. While Shakespeare uses the Fool to tell Lear and the audience the truth,
Riggan s subconscious furthers his disconnection from reality and self absorption. Additionally,
Shakespeare uses eyes as a motif to emphasise this fatal blindness, attributed to age. The plucking out
of Gloucester s eyes is also a direct link to this. Lear s crown is also used as a symbol of Lear s poor
judgement; by splitting the kingdom between his daughters, Lear clovest his crown i th middle , which
ultimately lead to the tragic consequences at the end of the play. Iñárritu explores a similar idea of a
limited view of the world through

Tropical rainforests are unique ecosystems with specific features that make them a world patrimony.
Today about forests cover about 31% of the planet s land. However, 46 58 thousand square miles of
forest is destroyed yearly, equivalent to 36 football fields per minute. Besides its ecological value,
they provide several exploitable resources, which make these forests important in an economical

Figure 2: Evolution of clear cut deforestation in Amazonia from 1988 to 2011. The reduction from
1988 until 1991 is attributed to the Brazil s economic recession, when the government lacked funds
for road construction and settlement projects. The peak in 1995 is a reflection of an economic
recovery in Brazil, and economic reforms increased the availability of capital. The fall in 1996 and
1997 is a result of falling land values and unattractive land speculation. The increase from 2001 to
2004 is a result of a sharp growth in the international market for soybeans and especially beef
(Fearnside, 2005). From this point, the oscillations between the deforestation rates can be explained by
the fluctuations of beef and soybean prices in the international market, the concession of land in the
agrarian reform (both increasing deforestation), a higher density of conservation units, and penalties
applied by the federal government (both decreasing deforestation).
Grasslands started to substitute rainforest areas in the Amazon for several reasons, and now cattle
ranching is one of the most lucrative activities in this region. The growth of soybean plantations is

Staffing: In a service oriented business such as Disney with very exacting customer service standards,
proper staffing is crucial to an organization #65533;s success. In spite of the importance of having a
top notch workforce, many considerations crucial to developing that effective workforce were

other hand, the Bay Laurel weed killer does not pose such a large threat because of the fact that the

Yahoo! Search Marketing is using real time bidding (RTB) technique, with which advertising buyers
bid on main slots along with Yahoo! s search results after the user put in certain keywords for search.
RTB is different from traditaional bidding methods, such as CPM (cost per mille) and CPC (cost per
click). To put it simply, RTB allows advertising buyers to bid for target customers, which are selected
through analyzing users browsing history and possible interests, and to place specific advertisement
for each user. In this way, the presented advertisement becomes more relevant and precise for target
customers.
According to eMarketer, a market research company, advertising buyers in United States will spend
more than nine billion dollars on RTB in the near future. They also predicted that in 2017 the RTB
cost will constitute 29% of total advertisement cost.
The process of RTB:
Use Yahoo! like a example
Step 1, Yahoo! obtains users information through the users visit history.
Step 2, Yahoo! sends the information to the Ad exchange. The information contains URL, Ad location,
user Cookie ID, etc.
Step3, Ad Exchange requests a real time bidding, and sends the bidding request to several DSP
servers.
Step4, DSP server sends the data to the bidding engine after it has received the request.
Step 5, Advertiser s User Data Storage analyses the User ID that send from bidding

The roaring twenties in Australia
Whether or not the term Roaring Twenties is an adequate description of the character of Australian
society from 1920 to 1929 depends on the circumstances of the Australian population in this decade,
because Roaring implies the 1920 s were full of dramatic social changes, which may have came about
from spontaneous economical or political incidences and new inventions. In the 1920s Australian
politics was dominated by the conservative parties and, despite some industrial discontent and
hardship, the economy was prosperous and expanding. Australian society was experiencing changes
and new developments in many fields. The use of electricity during the twenties became much more
common, and it dramatically altered the lives of people living ... Show more content on

Moving pictures appeared in the first decade of the century, and were probably the most popular form
of entertainment during the 1920s. Thousands of people were able to be entertained under the one roof
of some huge theatres. Some of these theatres were exquisitely decorated and furnished, creating an
atmosphere where patrons received maximum satisfaction. In 1929 talkies appeared for the first time
in Australia, and thousands of people rushed to see the new talking, moving picture. Despite the
popularity of entertainment in the form of mentally stimulating material, such as the radio and
pictures, outdoor sport was another major form of relaxation during the 1920s. Thousands went to see
Australia s new sporting heroes in horse racing, tennis, football and cricket. Australia experienced
substantial success in international sporting competitions, especially in tennis where Australia
defeated England in the Davis Cup, and in cricket where Australia defeated England in the first Test
Series since the end of the war. Thousands of people also went to the beaches. In the early 1920s
mixed bathing was still illegal and beaches were segregated. However, with the growing sense of
social rebellion, more and more people ignored these laws and came to the beach to swim. Bathing
costumes gradually lost pre war modesty levels also. Evidently, the pictures and out door sports were a
top priority as forms of entertainment for the Australian

Official Language
The United States is built up of different ethnic groups such as Latinos, Asians, African Americans,
Native Americans, etc. People from these groups speak different languages. In the U.S. majority of the
people speak English; one might think that English is the official language, but the U.S. does not have
an official language. Some might have a problem with this idea. In Why the U.S. Needs an Official
Language by Mauro E. Mujica, he argues that America needs to adopt English as its language. He
states many factors on why the U.S. needs an official language are because it costs too much if people
do learn it and he believes the U.S. is losing its sense of unity. I disagree with Mujica, I do not believe
the U.S. needs an official language

  • 2. The Effects Of Tobacco Smoking Although free of nicotine, marijuana smoke certainly pollutes the lungs. And since tobacco smoking has been linked to respiratory injury, cancer, emphysema, heart disease, complications of pregnancy, low birth weight, and other ills, it makes sense to worry whether smoking marijuana might prove equally harmful (Mack and Joy). Marijuana joints have been shown to deliver at least four times as much tar to the lungs as tobacco cigarettes of equivalent weight. This difference is due to the lack of filters on joints and because marijuana smokers typically inhale a larger volume of smoke and take it more deeply into the lungs than tobacco smokers do. Marijuana smokers also tend to hold smoke in for a time before exhaling, exposing the lungs to even greater levels of cancer causing agents. Clinical studies suggest that people who smoke marijuana are more likely to develop respiratory illnesses than are nonsmokers. A survey of outpatient medical visits at a large health maintenance organization (HMO) found that marijuana users were more likely to seek help for respiratory illnesses than people who smoked tobacco (Mack and Joy). While cannabis is harmful to the brain and lungs of the user, it is also harmful to the ones around the user. It has been shown that the effects of using cannabis are similar to those of alcohol and benzodiazepines and include slowing of reaction time, motor incoordination, specific defects in short term memory, difficulty in concentration and particular ... The Drilling Sites Will Be Located Near The Ogallala Aquifer One of the things that the commission need to keep in mind while deciding will be that the drilling sites will be located near the Ogallala Aquifer. This is one of the biggest aquifers in the world which means polluting the aquifer could have a large impact on hundreds of people s drinking water. The commission has assured the community that they have used better equipment to protect the pipes so they do not leak. However, the members of the community have little to no faith after seeing how filthy the water still is that s in the ground. However, with the new equipment the oil company has promised to use the Nebraska residents might feel safer (Hayden). One of the key factors in solving the problem would be to put in place much stricter regulations for companies to follow. If the government made companies work in a more responsible they would have to pay more attention to where they are drilling, leading to less drilling sites in neighborhoods or close to people s homes. The regulations on zoning could cause a chain reaction of problem solvers, if the fracking wells start to be farther away from homes the water that people are drinking will less likely be contaminated. For Oklahoma there are not yet regulations on where to frack like other states. Drilling is taking place on what is called basement rock, this is believed to be the cause of the tremblors. This is just one place where a little change in law can be a big change for a community. Another easy solution would be regulating the chemicals companies are allowed to use, the chemical cocktails used are commonly filled with acids, detergents and poisons that are not regulated by federal laws. Natalie Starkey, a writer for The Guardian, writes to explain that even areas that are not prone to earthquakes may still experience them due to drilling. Companies have denied having any ties to the rising number of quakes. The earthquakes that will appear will be very dangerous in most cases. The lack of regulation can be tied back into this issue since there are no laws on where companies can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. False Christian Teaching Many people can teach the Gospel, but few can present it in a way of compelling and authentic manner. Through his teachings to the Ephesians, Ignatius provides beneficial concepts for Christianity that are crucial for the Church to pursue. He commends the Ephesians to live in unity and communion with God, respect the authority placed over them, and stray from false teachings. His thought provoking ideas are absent from believers today and should be more vividly displayed in the lives of Christians. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others (New International Version, Romans 12:4 5). Christians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ignatius praised the Ephesians for staying strong in their faith when false teachers came to cripple their beliefs. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep s clothing, but inward they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits (New International Version, Matthew 7:15). It is difficult when a convincing person attempts to change your hopes and beliefs because they can be so sly and can twist thoughts. However, sticking to what is true, holy, and pleasing to God is the only way to dodge the destruction of the Christian mind. False prophets and teachers have no place in the lives of Christians and should not be able to sway strong beliefs and claims. The Church today is victim to fictitious instruction and must remain faithful to what they know is true in God the Father. Ignatius teachings to the Ephesians will ultimately benefit the Church if they are lived out everyday. He instructed them to live as one in Christ Jesus, to respect the authority over them, and to stray from false prophets who seek to corrupt their minds. If Christians today began to pursue these ideas, the world as a whole would benefit greatly because Christ would shine so brightly in and through them. Ignatius teachings not only left an impact on the Ephesians, but continue to impact the Church as they are applied to Christians everyday ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The place becomes increasingly familiar to me the green sign for Jesus In the Hills Camp, the brown sign for Leo Petroglyph, friends and relative s homes and as I navigate the slopes and curves that lead me back to my childhood home in Jackson, a pleasant nostalgia begins to take some of the tension out of the muscles around my neck and shoulders. After a decade of twisting and contorting myself into an unsuitable life in Christian ministry, I began to write and my attention turned back to my home, to that familiar landscape. I found the beauty in the cultural distinctiveness once taken for granted, even held in contempt. I had been fed, clothed and educated by money made from mining coal, and I am the product of a family that valued work and the love of the written word as a conduit for understanding and contextualizing our place in the world. And so, this is what I write about, the place and the people I know. Although I am not a Southern writer, I am drawn to writers from the South because of their distinctive voices and desire never to divorce characters from place. Their stories and characters struggle with the human condition generational poverty, extractive economies, and familial dysfunction in the same way that I witnessed people going about their lives in Jackson. • 9. Summary Of The Short Existence Of Francis Macomber Ernest Hemingway has made a magnum opus of various mystery in his story The Short Existence of Francis Macomber . The riddle does not reveal itself to the pursuer until the very closure of the story, yet it leaves a lot of creative energy. Around the finish of this story Margaret Macomber butchers her significant other unexpectedly, she tries to spare him from being battered by extensive Bison while they were on a safari in Africa. The mystery is paying little respect to whether the killing was inadvertent, or purposeful. It was purposeful, they would have many proof in the story to give you a reasonable intention too. What makes this riddle uncommon is that Hemingway gives the pursuer different events that would lead the pursuer to devise a commendable rationale, yet human impulse tells the pursuer that this executing couldn t have been deliberate. From a just target investigation of the story, the pursuer would see altogether additionally supporting the theory of a deliberate executing rather than a coincidental one. The snippets of data supporting Margaret executed Francis intentionally can best be seen when watching and focus the foundation information on both Francis Macomber, and Margaret herself. (Hemingway 1402). What is in like manner key is that Margot and Francis have altogether different personalities. This is doubtlessly watched when the storyteller states, (Hemingway 1402). Here, she noticed that he is really gone, and now she is scared, because she cannot take care of her and her children without him. This chain of event connects to her husband s negligence. Since she made the decision to stay with her husband, despite the hardships that he placed his family and himself in, he left her. So, she cannot take care of her nor her children because she is not familiar with being an independent woman living in a male dominant world. This cause could have been avoided if she were to leave him when she realized that he was becoming broke and irresponsible; however, she was dependent on him because he made the money and she worked in the private sphere. They focused on the student as an athlete making that their main focus and concern. Together, the idea of athletics and academics complemented each other. While the focus remained on the student, the individual was able to learn valuable skills that would assist them in the real world. Since then, the focus of college education has changed to concentrating on the idea of entertainment. A well rounded student athlete is no longer expected since they are sacrificed for the sake of the audience s enjoyment. Today, athletic programs exist as entities, pretending to act in the best interest of the institution. Carson and Rinehart argue that the disappearance of the college student athlete has occurred for numerous reasons. This is the central message that Matthew Arnold is trying to get across to his audience. An excellent example of how Arnold translates this to the reader is how the tone of the first eight lines and the tone of the final three lines of the poem differ from each other. The Nature Of Armed Conflict The nature of armed conflict in the 21st century Josh Camara 1227345 Pol 2I03 Dr. Mark Busser Friday November 7, 2014 Pol 2I03 Josh camara 1227345 2014 11 05 Who can understand modern warfare? War has without a doubt changed extremely from what the term originally meant. War is already hard to define, according to Clausewitz, war is an act of force intended to compel our opponents to fulfil our will... a continuation of political intercourse with a mixture of other means (Michael Sheehan, 2014, 217). More specifically, war was between countries/states and it involved open armed conflict. But war cannot be defined like this anymore in our modern times. With open conflict between nations and non nation organizations, for example the War on Terrorism, the definition above is no longer fully true. A better definition would be Hedley Bull s, organised violence carried on by political units against each other (Michael Sheehan, 2014, 218). Thus if the definition of war and how it s waged in the 21st century changed, theoretical approaches best suited conceptually and analytically that can explain and understand modern war has also changed. Ironically, the theoretical approaches that seem to be best suited to understand and explain modern war are two of the oldest theoretical theories; Realism and Liberalism. Thomas Aquinas says that the will is what allows you to chose from one thing or another. The power by which we are moved to obtain that which we desire is the will. Free will is the desire of good. It is not simply the matter of apprehending the good and then just sitting there and looking at it. It is an actual desire of the good. It is a will to have the good; to have that happiness. It is an appetite of power but it is a rational appetite of power. Free will is the freedom to chose. It is aiming to act in what you think is best for you. Tajikistan gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and in its short life has already seen considerable amounts of turmoil. When it was first declared a sovereign nation it was plunged very quickly in to civil war. The war led to a quick decline in the nation s economy. This war crippled the nation leaving Tajikistan very weak in the June of 1997 when the war finally drew to a close. This civil war weakened Tajikistan s legitimate economy and left many people to rely on the revenues of illicit opiate trade . Tajikistan is slowly recovering from the effects of becoming a new nation, plagued with war and drug problems early in its life, and this requires the government to find a way to end the drug usage and distribution problem that grips the country along with the corruption of the state in an attempt to improve the economy and living conditions of Tajikistan. There are many contributing factors to the perfect storm of sorts that lead to the rapid increase in Tajikistan s status as a drug state. One of the most important of these is the proximity of Tajikistan to Afghanistan. This proximity allowed for Afghanistan to take advantage of Tajikistan in the midst of civil unrest giving the people of the poverty stricken economy an easy way to make quick money. This was made easier for Afghanistan by Tajikistan s lack of border regulations, allowing drugs to easily be transferred between the two countries. • 31. Rama s Quest For Sita, Justice And For Dharma The tale of Sugriva in the Ramayana is crucial to Rama s quest for Sita, justice and for Dharma. The story serves a number of purposes within the Hindu epic such as giving the reader an understanding of the relationship between brothers, friends, and rulers as well as giving us a complicated but important look at a different side of Rama. Sugriva s story within the context of the Ramayana is quite different than the others because of a few controversial topics and questions that come up while reading it. All of them pertain to Rama and his development not only as the leader of the state but as a god. Rama, the epitome of virtue and valor, is the incarnation of the Hindu god, Vishnu. As this incarnate of the most widely praised Hindu god, there are certain qualities that are expected of him. These qualities are exemplified throughout the Ramayana with the exception of one or two acts within Sugriva s story. Rama s role in this tale seems to be a blemish on his otherwise virtuous and spotless history. I will first present a synopsis of this tale in order to build a foundation for my argument that Rama is actually justified in his actions with Sugriva, and towards Vali, which are so easily condemned as not god like. Sugriva is the brother of Vali, the ruler of the kingdom of Kishkindha. Kishkindha is the home of the Vanaras, a species of monkeys with human qualities who later aid Rama in retrieving his wife, Sita. The kingdom of Kishkindha was disturbed one day by the Mayavi, a ... In his madness, Lear reflects on how he believes he was not a good king during his reign, hence affecting his legacy after his inevitable death, while Riggan Thomson s (Michael Keaton) play is his attempt at remaining relevant. Both Lear and Riggan are arrogant, egotistical and ultimately ignorant to the surrounding world. Iñárritu and Shakespeare utilise the dialogue of other characters towards the protagonists, in albeit different ways, to show this. Shakespeare utilises the Fool to provide commentary for the audience. In the court of the king, the Fool s role was to provide entertainment through comedy, but Shakespeare portrays him as the only character telling Lear the truth and thus this is an example of dramatic irony. Through his anecdotes and commentary, the Fool reveals to Lear the truth, but in his ignorance the king does not acknowledge this. Iñárritu demonstrates this through the audial and visual manifestation of Riggan s younger self. While Shakespeare uses the Fool to tell Lear and the audience the truth, Riggan s subconscious furthers his disconnection from reality and self absorption. Additionally, Shakespeare uses eyes as a motif to emphasise this fatal blindness, attributed to age. The plucking out of Gloucester s eyes is also a direct link to this. Lear s crown is also used as a symbol of Lear s poor judgement; by splitting the kingdom between his daughters, Lear clovest his crown i th middle , which ultimately lead to the tragic consequences at the end of the play. The increase from 2001 to 2004 is a result of a sharp growth in the international market for soybeans and especially beef (Fearnside, 2005). From this point, the oscillations between the deforestation rates can be explained by the fluctuations of beef and soybean prices in the international market, the concession of land in the agrarian reform (both increasing deforestation), a higher density of conservation units, and penalties applied by the federal government (both decreasing deforestation).
