Illegal Immigration Essays
Writing an essay on the topic of illegal immigration can be a challenging task, as it requires a
comprehensive understanding of a complex and sensitive issue. The difficulty lies in the need to
navigate through a myriad of perspectives, data, and arguments surrounding the subject. To craft
a well-rounded essay, one must delve into the economic, social, political, and humanitarian
aspects of illegal immigration, considering both its positive and negative impacts.
Researching reliable sources to gather accurate and up-to-date information is a crucial step. The
topic is dynamic, and policies, statistics, and public opinions may change, making it essential to
stay current. Moreover, addressing the ethical dimensions of the issue requires a nuanced
approach, as individuals may hold diverse views on the rights and responsibilities of immigrants.
Crafting a thesis statement that encapsulates the main argument and aligns with the chosen
stance adds another layer of complexity. Balancing a persuasive tone with an objective
presentation of facts is vital to maintaining the essay's credibility. The essay should also explore
potential solutions and their implications, acknowledging the multifaceted nature of the problem.
Structuring the essay in a coherent and logical manner is another challenge. Ensuring a smooth
flow of ideas and transitions between paragraphs helps maintain the reader's engagement.
Additionally, integrating counterarguments and rebuttals strengthens the overall persuasiveness
of the essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on illegal immigration demands a meticulous and thoughtful

Alice Walker s Innocence And Subsequent Loss Thereof
Essay
Alice Walker shows Myop s innocence and subsequent loss thereof through her
usage of vivid imagery as well as the small setting and symbolism in The Flowers.
Myop s sudden exposure to the harsh reality of racism surrounding her shatters her
innocence. This moment marks a change in the tone of the short story, showcasing
the main character s shift in how she understands the world around her. Myop is
suddenly and violently thrust into a world in which skin color dictates how others in
society will treat her.
There is a noticeable shift in tone in The Flowers as Myop becomes exposed to the
world outside her home. The initial tone of the short story is carefree and child like.
Although the point of view of the story is third person omniscient, it is still evident
that the readers are viewing the story through the perspective of a child. The young
protagonist skips lightly from hen house to pigpen to smokehouse (Walker) showing
that she is happy, excited even, to enjoy the nature that surrounds her. As Myop
explores, it becomes evident that her family s financial situation is less than ideal.
Wandering towards the woods, she leaves behind the rusty boards of her family s
sharecropper cabin (185). Despite learning very little about the setting of this story,
the reader can already picture the scene as well as the time period. Very little is
written about the setting outside of the family home and the surrounding woods. This
supports the childlike tone of the beginning of the

For the primate observation project I went to the Santa Barbara zoo to observe and
contrast different types of primates. I observed one species of an old world
monkey, which was a gorilla and two different species of new world monkeys,
which were the Bolivian Grey Titi Monkey and also the Golden Lion Tamerin.
The first type of primate I observed was a Bolivian Grey Titi Monkey which is a type
of new world monkey species found in areas of eastern Bolivia and also can be
found in Brazil. The scientific term for this species is Callicebus donacophilus. These
types of monkeys have medium sized body ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I observed a type of Ape known as the Western Lowland Gorilla. The scientific
name for a Gorilla is the Gorilla gorilla. Gorillas are the largest of all living
primates and at native to west central Africa. Gorillas exhibit sexual dimorphism
within their species because males are very obviously much larger than females.
The size of the gorillas came across very intimating and gave me an off impression
of what this specie was actually going to be like. While observing the gorillas I
noticed that these creatures are very slow, lethargic primates. Gorillas move
quadrupedally by putting weight down on their arms and knuckles as they walk.
They have hands and opposable thumbs, like humans, and are able to grasp things
with a better grip. When Gorillas need to reach above themselves such as for leaves
or branches they are able to stand on both legs while reaching. While resting Gorillas
sit on their bottoms, legs to the side in a similar position that humans do. When
resting I noticed that sometimes Gorillas like to take advantage of the moment by
self grooming, using their hands. Gorillas usually have an herbivore diet but eat
occasional insects. Due to their large body structure it is harder for them move
around quickly so they do not need to eat foods that contain as much nutrients and
proteins as smaller,
A New Study On The American Schooling System
A famous quote once said, Knowledge is power. A new study shows that the
American schooling system, when compared to other countries, such as China, that
has parallel statuses, is lagging extremely behind regarding educational achievement;
matter of fact, the United States ranks in the lowest quartile in such an assessment.
Research, along with student exam scores, has also shown a substantial achievement
gap between students of little and high economic states. So President Bush created
No Child Left Behind, which deals with Common Core. However, Common Core is
not effective because it s too vigorous too early, not enough training to properly
implement in the schooldistricts, and all students are not the same. Common Core:

Numerous court cases deal with Common Core, but there is this one that is in New
Orleans that stuck out the most. It states that a child should be easily able to
accomplish to the next grade without struggling. Students in elementary are getting
college work, and not learning what they need to get to go to the next grade.
Children in Kindergarten are learning how to multiply before they learn how to
subtract or add. To some people, this sounds great, but is it? One should want his or
her child to find out how to add before multiply because it goes hand and hand. The
people that made Common Core made the parents believe that it is right for his or
her child, however, the curriculum includes hard topics that are learned in higher
grades. Put a stop to Common Core before it does further damage to our children s
education. (Haskins, State Discretion over Subject). There are parents around the
world that want common core to stop because they are complaining about the new
Common Core aligned Math and English curriculum their children are bringing home
(Toscano, The Common Core). Common core is not only stressing out the children,
but it is also stressing out the parents that care about his or her child well being. The
teachers are not getting the proper training he or she needs to teach the children. With
common core, teachers have to teach the child on multiple choice standpoint. [M]any

Corporate Governance And Insider Trading
CHAPTER I
THE CONCEPT OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND INSIDER TRADING
This chapter shall deal with the concepts of corporate governance and insider trading,
with explaining the development of the insider trading laws. It is essential to
understand the concept of corporate governance first, in order to be able to
understand the offence of insider trading in detail. Then the meaning and the concept
of insider trading along with its evolution is explained subsequently in this chapter.

The following things can be expected to be ensured by good corporate governance:
Effectual decision making by the management with proper disclosures necessary from
time to time to accomplish the corporate objectives.
The business transactions are expected to be carried out transparently by the
management.
All the statutory and legal obligations to be followed without any breach of the law.
Interest of all the stakeholders to be protected by the actions of the management.
The maintenance of ethical conduct and commitment to the values while carrying out
the business transactions.
In other words, corporate governance is the acceptance by management of the
inalienable rights of shareholders as the true owners of the corporation and of their
own role as trustees on behalf of the shareholders. It deals with conducting the affairs
of a company such that there is fairness to all stakeholders and that its actions benefit
the greatest number of stakeholders. In this regard, the management needs to prevent
asymmetry of benefits between various sections of shareholders, especially between
the owner, managers and the rest of the shareholders.
A good Corporate Governance is integral to the very existence of a company and
strengthens investor s confidence by ensuring company s commitment to higher
growth and profits. Broadly, it seeks to achieve the following objectives:

Should Quebec (or Other Provinces) Separate From

Should Quebec (or other provinces) Separate From Canada In Order To Best Protect
Its Constitutional Rights?
In my opinion, all provinces in Canada, including Quebec should not separate.
Quebec has been one of the provinces of Canada for a long period of time. Most
people in the world view that it is one of the component in Canada.
French Canadian and English Canadian seem to live together peacefully without
conflict, even many people with different cultures and languages come to Canada in
recent years. I thick Quebec has no reason to become independence from a

Quebec separation is also a morality problem. In fact, it is part of Canada.
People in a nation are like brothers and sisters, they should help and protect each
other. If Quebec separates, it will act like one of the family members leave the
family and no longer maintains his last name. Nobody wishes to have this happens in
his family.
Beside, identity of a nation is very important. It makes difference between country
and country. People in the world know that Canada is mainly formed by
French Canadian and English Canadian, and it has bilingual and muiltcultural culture.
Most French Canadian lives in Quebec. If Canada loses Quebec, the
French Canadian culture will surly be lost. If there is no French Canadian culture,
then the identity of bilingual will no longer need. Multiculturalism will no longer
support by the French culture. Canada will hurt a lot because it loses one of the most
special identities.
Canada, including Quebec belong to every Canadian, not only the Quebecers.
Every Canadian should have the right to determine Quebec should leave or stay.
It is normal in a democratic country and government should respect to what the
citizens say. In Canada, only 22% of people agree that Quebec should separate, as
well as 27% in Alberta. By these percentages, we can see that most people disagree
Quebec to separate. Moreover, 80% people in Alberta oppose letting a separate
Quebec use the Canadian money dollar, and 69% against letting Quebecers
Insights Into My Own Feelings
Insights into My Own Feelings
Poems often give you insights into your own feelings and experiences. Jimmy Baca
wrote a poem called So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs from Americans, and upon
reading this poem, I discovered many insights into my own feelings. Jimmy Baca
seems to be angry at the fact that Americans think Mexicans take their jobs away.
The feelings I have towards what s happening in this poem is that Americans are often
victimized, a feeling of being offended, and I feel confused.
After reading the poem So We Are Taking Jobs from Americans, I as an American
felt somewhat victimized. In the poem, Baca says, I hear Mexicans are taking
your jobs away. Do they sneak into town at night, and as you are walking home
with your whore, do they mug you, a knife at your throat, saying I want your job?
(Lines 7 11) What Jimmy Baca is saying is that Americans aren t forced out of our
jobs, but illegal immigrants do migrate to America through the night. No, they don
t hold guns or knives to our throats and make us give them our jobs, but they
illegally come into our country and work for little to nothing which is the same
thing as forcefully taking our jobs away. He also says, O Yes? Do they come on
horses with rifles, and say, Ese Gringo, gimmee your job? (1 3) Saying this makes
it seem like the only way to take something from someone is by force. It makes me
feel victimized if someone comes over to America illegally and will work for
anything, it takes the work from me.
Research Paper On Postmodernism
This Essay will describe multiple movements that influenced and lead to the creation
of postmodern art and design including Pop Art, Conceptual, Neo Expressionism and
the Memphis group. In terms of where these movements influenced and reaction
towards other movements creating a true postmodern period. It will discuss the
reasoning behind each movement after the events of World War II across Europe and
the United States. How each movement or group lead to changes in the art and design
world. Also, who would lead these movements and their roll involved with each
movement throughout the last 65 years. Leading up to current and present day
postmodern art and design.
The above information will be illustrated in the following work.

At a time where some artists were moving away from traditional painting and
artistic technique they felt revived with the neo expressionism which gained
popularity amongst artists in the early 1980s in New York City, including Eric

with Neo Expressionism entering New York in the 80s at a time when street
graffiti was on the rise, a few of these artists broke into the art scene in New York.

The National Football League Is The Most Popular Sport
The National Football League is the most popular sport in America. The NFL is
the most lucrative sports business in the world by generating 9 billion dollars a
year. For whatever reason peoples eyes are glued to the television every Sunday,
whether it be to root on their hometown team or to follow their fantasy football
team. The league has been under fire for the safety of the players for a very long
time, but more so in the last couple of years. The biggest part of the scrutiny is that
repeated head trauma can cause long term brain damage. The rules must change in
the game of football because it has become too dangerous and creates a long term
threat to players. Equipment has improved tremendously over the years to help with

A helmet hit from Morris Badgro in the 1930 would lay down players with 970
pounds of force and a helmet hit from the current player Holati Ngata unleashes 1700
pounds of force.
The National Football League is constantly working on making the game safer.
There needs to be a waiver in the contract of the players that prevents them suing
the league for any post career health issues. If the players were not part of the
National Football League Players Association, a labor union for the players, the
waiver would already be in place. The players union says that it would be against
the collective bargaining agreement for the NFL to come up with such waiver
(cite.) The waiver probably stems from the lawsuits against the NFL by former
players. The number of suits continues to grow with the largest one being nearly
800 million dollars. The former players accused the league of hiding the long term
effects of concussions and rushing players back onto the field, while profiting from
the games violence. There have been multiple players who have been on the NFL s
side and said that they would be willing to sign a waiver saying that they would not
sue the league if any post football health issues occurred.
There have been much needed changes on the field to change the safety of the
game. The changes have drawn a lot of criticism. A friend of mine refers to it as the
No Fun League instead of the National Football league, but this is what has to happen
The Tennis Court Oath And The Death Of Marat
The French Revolution was a chaotic time of blood, death, and fear. Though there
were many negative outcomes and events of the Revolution, it big change to sweep
across France. The Revolution began in the middle of 1789 with the swearing of the
Tennis Court Oath, in which members of the third estate, as well as some from the
first and second estates, swore that they would not go anywhere until they had written
a constitution for France. Then, the Revolution really took off, and continued on for
years. Many people influenced the Revolution, such as Marat and Robespierre. The
death of Marat was another event that had a large influence on the Revolution, as
though he had caused lots of deaths, he was stilled viewed as a hero by most.
Looking at the two paintings The Tennis Court Oath, and The Death of Marat, The
Tennis Court Oath depicts a more significant and relevant event, as this was the event
to really cause the French Revolutionto take off.
The Tennis Court Oath is a painting that depicts the swearing of an oath by
members mainly from the third estate, but also some from the first and second that
had sided with the third. Just days before, the estates had been called by the king to
a meeting of the Estates General, where the representatives from each estate
gathered at the palace Versailles to discuss important matters proposed by the king.
The Estates General had not met in over 150 years, but the king needed their
approval for him to raise taxes to
The Solar Of Solar Module
Purpose
In the present era where energy demands growing rapidly the solar module is one of
the solutions and a good one. More energy from the sunlight strikes the Earth in one
hour (4.3 Г— 1020 J) than all the energy consumed on the planet in a year (4.1 Г—
1020 J) therefore solar energy has a bright future ahead. The first solar cell was
invented in 1953 and had efficacy rate of 4 present while toady s solar cell is 40
present efficient. SolarCity is using the one of the efficient solar panels which yields
30 to 40 percent more energy than similar size solar module available in the market.
Components
There are many components those makes a solar panel. These components can be
defined as external and internal components. A basic unit of the solar module is a
solar cell and many solar cells create one solar module and more than one solar
module creates an array.
External Components
External components are components which are used in the solar module s external
body as mention in the figure below in layers.
Frame
Framing play a very important role in a solar module because it will hold the panels
together in addition, it protect the solar module from many environmental factors for
instance wind and rain. Aluminum is commonly used in the solar module framing
because of its unique properties.
Aluminum can be recycle
Aluminum is light in weight and yet gives the similar strength as steel against the
wind and other environmental factors, therefore aluminum frame make

What Is An Indicator For System Generation And
Consumption...
Grid frequency $f$ can be considered as an indicator for system generation and
consumption power balance, when an imbalance occurs the power system frequency
will change accordingly.
One of the responsibility s of a transmission system operators is to operate the
electric grid at a certain system frequency which is the nominal grid frequency
$f_{0}$, 50 Hz in Europe, where the torque is continually adjusted to keep the
system frequency at the nominal grid frequency. in equation (1)
Where $Tgen$ is the generated torque, $Tload$ is the consumed torque including
grid losses torque and $JSys$ is the total moments of inertia in the system

In the recent situation of the connected power grid for the ECSA, the amount of
residual inertia $J_{res}$ needed to prevent a blackout is decided by ROCOF
limits regulations which is in our case $delta f /delta t$=2 $Hz/s$, using related
equations(1)(2) and by using an inertia constant similar to that of already available
biomass and hydro units which is between /1.5s 4s/ cite{hh}, we get a maximum
rated power in the magnitude of 20$GW$ which is to put in context Significantly
lower than the total installed hydro power capacity of 136 $GW$ in the EU 27, with
an additional 62 $GW$ in Norway, Switzerland,
Turkey, Croatia and Iceland combined cite{hydro}, so it is clear that hydro along
with other RES such as biomass can generate the needed $J_{res}$ for the scenario
discussed without calculating existing synchronous generators inertia nor calculating
the inertia generated from synchronous loads, in other words even by the continuous
decrease in synchronous generation inertia it won`t be expected to not have enough
inertia in the EU 27 power system to cover a blackout scenario in case of a single
fault with a load generation of 3 $GW$ in

Thus, after redistribution we have new cycle time to be 48 secs. And the efficiency

Recommendations
The problem eventually boils down to the cost trade off between: a little extra
working hours and setting up a new line.
Scenario 1 Extra working time * Post the redistribution of tasks into workstations
there is increase in production per shift. Now the increase in demand will be
equalled by this increased efficiency with an extra time of .35 hours per shift. *
Thus, we do not have to get a new assembly line to combat the extra demand for the
time being (next two months). * Thus no extra shift is needed.
Scenario 2 New assembly Line * With a new line installed, we would be able to
expand for the future. Now with the bottleneck cycle time impossible to come down
by rearranging, the only option of expanding would be by building a new assembly
line. * This would have a high setup cost, but to ensure to be ready for the increasing
demand and to not lose out on any opportunity cost due to sudden spikes it
Controversiality In Othello
Controversiality is something that Shakespeare has conquered in all of his plays.
Most of these controversial things have to women and the treatment of them.
Some of the biggest ones are King Lear, Hamlet, and Othello. These plays show
how Shakespeare portrays women. Women are an essential part of everyone s
lives because they are the ones that give birth to the people of this world. In these
three plays especially it is told how women were treated back then. These plays
have a variety of stories, but really they are the same plot line with different
characters. Women are treated in these plays like they were treated in the
Elizabethan Era, which wasn t good. They couldn t talk unless they were talked to

treating women in many plays is a controversial topic, because it is hard to portray
them as equals to men. Which, sometimes comes across as the women are being
treated badly. In Othello, this miscommunication is not present. This is because the
treatment of women here is pretty neutral. According to a feminist reading of this
play, In the Elizabethian era . . . women were expected to be silent, chaste, and
obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers, and all men in general . . . As we go
through Othello we find that the women characters are presented according to this
expectation of the Elizabethan society (Feminist). This quote shows that the
treatment of women in this play matches the way that the women were treated in
the Elizabethan Era, which wasn t bad, but wasn t good. They were treated like
they weren t there really. They could only talk if they were talked to and they were
too do everything that the man said. If they didn t do these things then they were to
be punished. The punishment could be anything really, whatever the man decided
to do. In the Elizabethan Era it was also expected that the women were to get
married, this was their sole purpose for being on Earth. This play resembles that
because everyone doesn t take it well when Beatrice says that she is not going to get
married, If they have not a
Consequentialism
Introduction:
For this Unit 2 assignment I have chosen the the ethical type Consequentialism. This
is defined as Consequentialism: An action is morally right if the consequences of that
action are more favorable than unfavorable. (ref 1)
After looking at the definition of the ethical type of Consequentialism, I would like
to give a short example in my own words what I understand Consequentialism is.
Consequentialism is the ethical reasoning that would apply to a situation where the
needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or what is less evil or bad in any
particular situation ? You would make that choice based on the ethical type
Consequentialism. So in my life I believe that I have had to make ethical decisions
based on this ethical type. Whether it be at work at home with the family or with

Lowell Factories In The 1800s
Lowell factories started to be made so the owners needed workers; the owners
chose to use girls to work in the factories. Women got paid less during that time
period so it would be cheaper for the owners. The women who worked in the mills
were called mill girls, they were usually 15 to 35 years old. Mill girls worked 12
hours for 6 days a week, and lived in boarding houses. The textile corporations of
Lowell paid higher wages than textile cities even though the work was difficult and
tiring and that it was bad for their health. The mill girls protested the wage cuts few

Million Dollar Baby By Alan Eastwood
1. In large part this is a victory of execution over conception. Eastwood tells the
story so well, and draws such committed performances from his co stars, that there s
little opportunity to snicker at the innate silliness. Morgan Freeman may be the best
voiceover artist alive, his world weary humanism perfectly modulated to the tone of
this film. In his mouth even the tritest, most overwritten analogy feels grounded in
experience. Along with a haunting, minimalist piano score composed by Eastwood
himself, Freeman s wistful narration ties together Million Dollar Baby s heroic and
tragic phases and offers the first signal that it will not be a typical sports movie.
There is no doubt that this film s plot is beautifully organized containing a
African And African Slave Trade In The Atlantic World
African Slave Trade in the Atlantic World Natives and African both experienced
harsh punishments and work ethic in the 16th to 19th century due to the extensive
need for labor in both fields and mines. Thus resulting in a tragic outcome for the

social structure. Before the Americas slaveryhad existed in Africafor a long time
dating back to the 1600 s. Muslim rulers had justified that any prisoner of could be
bought or sold as a slave if they were a non muslim believer. However, the rate of
slaves initially sold by Muslims was lower than the rate compared to the
Europeans, resulting in 17 million Africans were sold to Muslim lands in North
Africa and Southwest Asia between 650 and 1600. Slavery in the most African
and Muslim societies were rather different to slavery in the Americas. Slaves there
may have had some legal rights and opportunities to move up from their social
class. Although like the Americas few Africans were able to hold political
positions and if they were to some would have served as general in the army. AS
well as having an easier working condition there were also easier ways to get out of
slavery including marrying into the family they had served. After the Europeans had
discovered the Americas they thrived for the need of labor on their fields, which at
that time was very popular to grow sugar or tobacco. After being captured from

the two. Theories suggest that the delayed onset of lactose intolerance, in patients
who already have IBD s, may arise as secondary lactose intolerance but only as a
byproduct of the IBD. This begs the question of if the prevalence of an IBD
predisposes that same person to lactose intolerance and if so, what are the drivers
that allow this to happen? Inflammatory bowel diseases are categorized into two
subset categories, ulcerative colitis(UC) and Crohn s disease. IBD s are defined as a
chronic inflammationof all or part of a digestive tract. The inflammation takes place...

Those who are lactose intolerant also have diminishes levels of lactase, the small
intestinal enzyme responsible for the catalysis of lactose. Dietary supplementation of
the lactase enzyme has, in some cases, proven to rectify the symptoms of lactose
intolerance.
During infancy the vast majority of humans have the ability to digest and catabolize
lactose into glucose and galactose via the lactase enzyme. This catabolic capability is
vital for newborn mammals, given that their primary source of nutrition comes from
their mother s milk. During the weaning period, when children cease to use milk as a
primary source of nutrition, the production of the lactase enzyme severely
deteriorates and eventually leads to the inability to catabolize lactose. While this may
be the natural progression of the expression of the lactase enzyme, there remains a
large, predominantly western population that maintains a steady production of
lactase, those individuals are known as lactase persistent (Baumgart, et al.).
Lactase Persistence Causes: Lactase persistence has been strongly suggested to be a
function of genetic causes and its inheritance occurs in an autosomal recessive
manner. Individuals that exhibit the highest lactase activity are genotypically
homozygous recessive for lactase persistence; where as individuals who show lower
lactase activities are heterozygous or homozygous
Napoleon Bonaparte Hero
In the late 1760s, a heroic figure was born. On August fifteenth in the year of 1769,
a male baby was then a face upon this earth. Of course, this male was not heroic in
his toddler years, but as he grew, he conquered many goals of his. This male baby
came to be known as one of the greatest military leaders to be known; this baby was
none other than the great Napoleon Bonaparte. Because he was born in this time
period, it was almost meant for him to be revolutional. There were many occurrences
taking place in France. The Seven Years War was going on. It was finally ended in
1763. This took place with France; this is a reason it was also called the French and
Indian War. It began in 1756 and did not end til 1763. Also, in 1768 a year before

Therefore, his people listened to him. He took his military and defeated many of
France s enemies. After gaining victories, Bonaparte s figure as first consul was

However, he wants stability, peace, and to help everywhere. He began with
organizations like banks, education, science, art, and even relations. Napoleon,
even as a cruel general, wanted to support and help his community and people

helping his people, he helped better himself in many areas. Out of the many of his
achievements for his people was the Napoleonic Code. This code was very
influential to 19th century codes ( Napoleonic Code ). Later, he became emperor in
1804. This is another achievement of Bonaparte to show his strengths. Since the
Napoleonic Code was very influential, this also shows how influencing of a leader
he is; it shows how people look up to him and see how he is important to their
Examples Of Identity And Coming Of Age
Identity and coming of age are the most important gearings in a life. In fact, human
beings has to find and accept their own identity in order to come of age. Identity
reveals the acceptance of the origins of a person, its sexual and social desires and
furthermore, its acceptance itself. Thus, coming of age is complete thanks to the
identity a person accepts, then it takes maturity and more confidence. In this essay,
two characters will be confronted to a search of an identity in order to come of age.
First, Jhumpa Lahiriintroduces us to her main character in her novel The Namesake,
Gogol, a troubled boy that has to grow up with an unusual name. Secondly, Jeffrey
Eugenides in Middlesex inroduces us to Calliope/Cal Stephanides, an intersex person.

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Data Model
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
1.Describe and compare 3 data models outlining their strengths and weaknesses with
each other.
Connolly and Begg (2009) defines a data model as an integrated collection of
concepts for describing and manipulating data, relations between data, and
constraints on the data in an organization. Simply, a data model is a representation
of how the different types of data interact. They can be categorized into three main
broad aspects, which are object based, record based and physical data model. The
object based model include the Entity Relationship, Semantic, Functional and Object
Oriented Model. The record based comprise of Relational Data Model, Network
Model and the Hierarchical Model. The physical data model describe how data is
stored in the computer, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similar to the network data model, data is represented as collections of records and
relationships are represented by sets. This model only permits a node to have one
parent, this makes it efficient for searching if all desired access paths follow the
parent child linkages. This makes one to many relationships well represented within
the hierarchical model. The main difference between the network data model and the
hierarchical data model, is that in the network model a child could have a many to
many relationship with its parent entity. Similarly, just like the network data model,
the hierarchical data model is simple and easy to design.
The main limitation of record based data models like the network and hierarchical is
they do not provide adequate facilities for explicitly specifying constraints on the data
(Connolly 2009). Another limitation of the network and hierarchical model is that
they require the user to have knowledge of the physical database being accessed,
whereas the relational data model provides a substantial amount of data
independence. (Connolly
The Pros And Cons Of Sports Stadiums
Sports teams are a symbol of a cities pride. Take for example the Chicago Cubs.
They create a sense of loyalty toward that city. However, none of that would happen
without a stadium. Stadiums and teams can play a very important role in a cities
economy, or they could also be irrelevant. To decide whether or not they are useful or
not you must first understand each side of the argument. So first, let s examine the
pros of having a stadiumwithin your city. Then, we will discuss the harms of having
one. And finally, decide which side is more beneficial for the economy.
Proponents of subsidizing sports stadiums is a great decision because the
economic impact it will have on the community is great for two main reasons.
First, sports stadiums are massive construction projects. In fact, one could compare
them to a medieval cathedral in their attempts to dominate a skyline and inspire
pride in one s city And, just like these cathedrals, they are very expensive, and
massive building projects that would require many years of hard painstaking labor.
For example, the proposed stadium for the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood,
California, was predicted to cost $3 billion and add 22,000 construction jobs to the
economy of Los Angeles, California. Although construction jobs do eventually
disappear once a stadium is constructed once the games begin, so does the massive
consumer spending. For example, more than 3.5 million people saw the St. Louis
Cardinals play at Busch Stadium in 2015.
Ecological Problems Facing United States Today
There are many ecological problems facing us in the United States today. Among
those issues includes global warming, our dependence on fossil fuel, saving our
endangered wildlife, and ensuring that we have safe and sufficient water. There is
one environmental issue, however, that streams across all these areas, and threatens
the safety of our country, and of many bodies of water all over the world, and that is
the issue of Oil Spills. An oil spillcan be defined as, an unintentional release of crude
oil or refined oil products into the environment. Oil spills are considered to be a
major source of chemical pollution. Most of these spills occur through human
error, however, there are cases where oil seeps through deposits under the ocean
floor. These spills can occur on land, in the ocean, and even when oil is spilled
down storm drains that lead directly into lakes and rivers. Not only do oil spills
threaten to destroy our ecosystem and endanger our wildlife, oil spills can be
harmful to human beings as well. The reason that this is so stems from the fact that
oil itself is considered to be semi volatile. This means that it can evaporate into the
air and create a heavy vapor which lingers and can be breathed in by humans, and
can travel deeply into people s lungs. This can in turn cause many health issues such
as nausea, vomiting, headaches, and even difficulty breathing. Over an even longer
period of time, the chemicals that are found in oil, and that are evaporated into

Macbeth Tragic Hero Research Paper
A tragic hero is a protagonist, usually of noble birth or high standing, who brings
about his own downfall by a choice brought on by a character flaw. Tragic heroes
learn from their mistakes and stand up to their fears no matter the consequences.
Many novels, such as Macbeth, have a tragic hero. Some may argue if Macbeth is a
tragic heroor not. However, he is in many ways. Some may see Macbeth as a villain
due to his vile actions but he is, in fact, a tragic hero. Macbeth fulfills the
characteristics of a tragic hero throughout the entire play. From being passionate
about being King, to fighting for what he wanted, to risking his life for a title,
Macbeth is seen as a tragic hero. Although it did not end in his favor, Macbeth is a
tragic hero. Tragic heroes can be seen as noble. In Macbeth, King Duncan refers to
Macbeth as Noble Macbeth in the first act of the play. So right away the audience has

Anthrax Synthesis Essay
French microbiologist, Louis Pasteur was the first person to invent a form of a
vaccine for anthrax in the 19th century for individuals who worked with cattle. At
that time, individuals were injected with a very small amount of the bacteria, so as to
not cause them to become sick and therefore they would develop an immunity to the
disease. The vaccineused today which is approved by the FDA was formulated in
the 1960 s and is very controversial. In 1988 U.S. Military personnel received the
vaccine on the onset of the Persian Gulf War. There were many side effects
reported by the military as a result of giving this vaccine. Side effects including
fevers, nausea and vomiting. The vaccine is not commercially available in the US.

animal hides and products where anthrax is common and military personnel can

History Of Accounting Essays
Once upon a time, Luca Pacioli wrote a math book. It was just a little survey and
should have been treated like ordinary books of the time and read and then
disappeared into historical archives and forgotten. A few brief chapters on practical
mathematics made this one special.
The time was 1494. Columbus had discovered America just two years before. The
author was a Franciscan monk.
The chapter on practical mathematics addressed mathematics in business. He said that

Sully Movie Analysis
When the movie Sully first came out, it received a wide range of mixed reviews
from both critics and normal movie goers alike. Although everyone is entitled to
their own opinion, not everyone agrees with what other people think. Because
Sully is a movie that is based on a true real life event, society has mixed reviews
about how the movie was played out because it was based on a real event. Three
movie critics gave their thoughts on the movie and each one has different views then
the other reviewer does on the producer of the movie Clint Eastwood, the captain,
Sully, National Transportation Safety Board, and the co pilot, Jeffrey Skiles, whom
will all be seen in this essay. Sully will go down in history as the movie that had
both a wide range of reviews and also told the story of a government agency trying
to put the blame on a worldwide hero. Because Sully is based off an event that
involves an airplane, the safety personnel had to get involved to investigate the cause
if the accident. Due to the fact that the National Transportation Safety Board is made
up of many highly intelligent people, there was bound to give way to issues that
arrived between the captain who landed the plane, Captain Sully, and the National
Transportation Safety Administration know as NTSB for short. The NTSB was in
charge of investigating the event because it deals with transportation. Matthew
Lickona and Scott Marks are both movie critics who work for the San Diego Reader.

The connotation is how something is photographed, while the denotation is what is
photographed. What is important in this scenario is that the essence of the picture is
manipulated by one or more of these external factors. It may be argued that the art of
photography itself is not organic, but merely the careful manipulation of external
elements, constructed by the artist. However, Barthes does not consider photography
as an analogue, a puerile denoted message, yet ironically that is how most people
instinctively see. Objects photographed (denoted) for non artistic pictures such as
documentaries are perceived by the viewer as portraying characteristics of the truth,
rather than being used as stylistic mediums. According to Barthes, in the case of
traumatic images where tragic events are depicted, even those that have long passed

Digital multipliers are along with the majority critical arithmetic functional units. The
general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput of the
multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS
transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = в€’Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of
a pMOS transistor and falling the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias
temperature instability occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both
effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term, the system may be
fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable high
performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging aware multiplier
design with a novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to
provide the higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Naproxen
2.RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
A great number of drugs available on the market contain an active ingredient that is
poorly soluble in water and has a low dissolution rate. Various approaches to
improve these properties exist. One of the most common approaches is the
production of a solid dispersion (SD), whereas the use of porous carriers, such as
calcium carbonate, also proved to be potential.
Since naproxen is a substance with good permeability and low solubility (Class II
according to BCS), dissolution is the limiting factor that determines the speed and
extent of absorption of the active ingredient.
In the context of the master s thesis it will be investigated whether, by incorporating
naproxen, which is practically insoluble in water, into calcium ... Show more content

The maximum plasma concentration is reached after 2 to 4 hours, whereas the
equilibrium concentration (steady state) is established after 4 to 5 doses,
respectively within 2 to 3 days. Plasma concentrations of naproxen are increasing in
proportion to a dose of up to 500 mg, while higher doses were less proportionate.
Plasma protein increases the creatinine clearance due to the saturation binding of
naproxen.
Distribution
Plasma concentrations of naproxen are in the usual dose between 23 mg/L and 49
mg/L. 99 % of plasma proteins bind naproxen at concentrations of up to 50 mg/L,
whereas at higher concentrations the unbound drug amount is increased. Thus, at a
concentration of 473 mg/L 2.4 % of unbound naproxen were measured. Due to the
strong binding to plasma proteins, the volume of distribution is low and amounts to
only 0.9 L/kg of body weight.
Metabolism and excretion
There is no presystematic metabolism. Naproxen is extensively metabolized by the
liver and excreted almost entirely via the kidneys (97.5 to 99 %) and only a very
small proportion through feces. Less than 10 % of the active substance is excreted
unconverted and 60 % in the particular form of conjugates with glucuronic acid. The
remaining portion (30 %) is subjected to demethylation by the liver, resulting in the
production of 6 O desmethyl naproxen or its conjugates. This metabolite is

Christianity has become so diverse that some theologians have called it Christian
Pluralism (Melton, 2007). In 1982 Anglican theologian David Barrett estimated that
there were 20,800 denominations in Christianityacross the globe (McGavran, 2012).
Early Christianity Division in Christianity has occurred in most of its history. Four
sects in early Christianity (predating canonized New Testament) were the
Marcionites, the Gnostics, the Jewish Christian Adoptionists, and the Proto Orthodox
Christians (Ehrman, 2008). The Marcionites believed that God in the Old Testament

In response to this Donald McGavran cites Paul by comparing the different
denominations and emphases of the church to actual body parts as Paul does in 1
Corinthians 12 (McGavran, 2012). About differing views on biblical matters, he
states Nevertheless, Missouri Synod Lutherans and Southern Baptists ought to
believe that the other denomination is a genuine part of the body of Christ (
McGavran, 2012). He also points out that while many of these churches recognize
each other as other parts of the same church they also tend to favor themselves as
more correct in their beliefs or interpretation (McGavran, 2012). It could be
compared to an eye or ear of Paul s illustration recognizing the importance of the
eye, ear, or other body part but then still treating the self as superior to the other part.
The parts need to work together for the body to
Film Analysis Of The Prestige By Christopher Nolan
A suspenseful tale built on illusions and trickeries, The Prestige has been established
as one of the most criminally underrated movies of the century. In this filmic
masterpiece, director and writer Christopher Nolan, plays a magic trick on the
audience and misdirects the viewers, but also hides the secret obviously in plain
sight. Co written by his brother, Jonathan Nolan, and adapted from a novel by
Christopher Priest, this film is set in the nineteenth century London, and deals with an
obsessive rivalry between two magicians that are willing to sacrifice everything they
have to create the ultimate illusion. In this movie, Nolan leaves the audience guessing
and gasping at its twists and unexpected turns, with a dauntingly brilliant script,
thought provoking narration, unique cinematographic details, and a beautifully
talented cast. Christopher Nolanhas been acclaimed as one of the most successful
filmmakers for his non linear storytelling, labyrinthine plots, and metafictive
elements, and The Prestigeillustrates all those filmmaking styles incredibly. Some
movie fanatics even view this movie as Nolan s most complex film from a narrative
structure point of view. We can witness that from the very first frame of the movie.
The movie begins with a shot of several hats inexplicably scattered in a forest, with a
voiceover asking the audience Are you watching closely? . Then, Cutter (Michael
Caine) describes the three parts of a magic trick. The pledge, where the
Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Contract Theory
In the Elements of Moral Philosophy, written by James Rachels, the theory of Social
Contract Theory is defined as the set of rules, governing behaviors, that rational
people will accept, on the condition that others accept them as well (Rachels EMP
85). The author describes that the theory aims to explain the purpose of both morality
and government within a society. Rachels states that the purpose of morality is to
make social living possible; the purpose of government is to enforce vital moral
rules (Rachels EMP 85). In essence, social contracttheory dictates an implicit set of
rules by which a specific society is governed. The set of rules lays the framework for
what will be considered moral or not within the society. The goal of this essay is to
objectively analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the social contract theory, and
describe how they impact the world. Ultimately, even though the text provides
concerns regarding the disadvantages of the contract, the contract still exists today
and thus can be successful despite the author s criticism. Social contract theory
promotes the existence of social order and provides the foundation for morality
(Rachels EMP 82). Even though that there exists a strong inclination for the
emergence of anarchy without a common source of morality, philosophers like
Hobbes, believe that the enticement is built into society by humanity existing among
each other. The need inherently exists for humanity to form some sort of accord to
Comparison of Mac Vs. PC Essay
Hello I m a Mac, and I m a PC (Wikipedia). Many people who watch television or
online videos might come across the Get a Mac advertisement campaign launched
by Apple Inc. personifying the more youthful Justin Long as the cool, hip Mac
system and the older, more seasoned John Hodgman as the PC. The Get a Mac
commercial series depicts the efficiency and user friendliness of Mac while
comparing it to the problematic PC. Though the commercial series might seem
convincing in favor of the Mac products, the commercial would obviously hide the
flaws of the Macs. The actually masks the fact that PC comes out on top at the end
of the day with great efficiency, the ability to do a diverse range of work, and its user
friendliness. But now... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Let us start with the hardware. Building a computer is not easy because finding
compatible components is important but once the computer is built, analyzing the
key components is pretty simple. Personally, I have a self built PC which runs top
of the line components that is more advanced and affordable than that of an Mac
hardware. In the case of a Mac computer, the hardware is integrated which makes
keeping up with the latest components such as better CPUs, and graphics card
unavailable. Furthermore, in Intel s PC vs. Mac article (Intel makes components
for both Mac and PC), Intel states, Apple s range of product is narrower than that of
PCs even though the Mac system can be robustly outfitted (which means add in
more gadgets such as web cams and microphones )(Intel). Though the Macs already
have web cams and microphones on the system, PC users can surpass these tools and
gadgets with even better high definition cameras and studio quality microphones
with one quick install. Having said that, it is crystal clear that PC computers have
the edge when it comes to computer components because of the PC s ability to
upgrade its hardware consistently to make performance more efficient which is a
necessity that the Mac computers do not provide in the constantly advancing
technological world. In conjunction with computer hardware, the importance of a
user friendly operating system and it s ability to perform an diverse range of tasks is

Analysis Of The Article Mascot By T. Rees Shapiro
T. Rees Shapiro may be showing that his article is demonstrating that the change of
mascot in the Richmond High School is positive due to the evidences he is
illustrating. In the article, In Richmond, students seek to revive Rebel mascot by T.
Rees Shapiro, many students, graduates and parents have started and signed a
petition to bring back an old mascot to which many students think it will improve the
school spirit and further; yet, because the mascot represents rebels , which shows
relations to the confederacy and slavery, it is controversial; but, the decision of
putting a lion instead of the rebel to school, many students think it does not make
sense because according to a black member in the movement, he would help to have

Exegetical Paper On Jeremiah 31-31
I chose Jeremiah 31:31 37, and to be honest I do not know why. I found it during
my initial research, and I thought it looked like it would be an easy section of
scripture to tear apart. I think I was drawn into it because it was full of promises
from God, and it is a giant decree from the Lord. While the passage seems fairly
easy to understand on the surface, I quickly realized that there was a lot more under
the surface.
Discovering The Text Jeremiah was a prophet from 628 580 BC. This means that
most of his writings took place during the final siege of Jerusalem. Most of the
book, Jeremiah is calling the nation of Judah to repent, and then announcing the
exile to Babylon. However, chapter 31 takes a drastic change. Chapter 31 is all
about Restoration and the New Covenant. In the first Thirty verses of Chapter 31

It is the first place in the Old Testament that the New Covenant is mentioned. This
covenant would be to the whole, reunited nation of Israel. This New Covenant was
when what God agreed to do in Genesis 3 became a reality in that this new covenant
would be sealed with the blood of Jesus, who is the only mediator between God and
his people. It has been called the Gospel before the Gospel because it is the closest
approach to the New Testament faith in the Old Testament.
Often times, Bible commentators have said that this section of scripture is the apogee
of Jeremiah s spiritual journey. It is also one of the most moving and profoundest
passages in the Bible.
This passage comes at a very important time for Jeremiah and the Jews. The
covenant had caved in because the people habitually broken it. Because of this, a
question had arose, how can a holy God maintain a relationship with a sinful nation
that had been deprived of a country and then sent into captivity? There was only one
solution: a New
How Seamus Heaney s Childhood Affected His Poetry Essay
How Seamus Heaney s Childhood Affected His Poetry
Seamus Heaney was born in the North of Ireland in 1939 on a farm with his mother
and father and nine other siblings. Generally Heaney s poems are influenced by
animals through his childhood experience, specifically within The Early Purges and

Learning . Heaney grew up near Belfast, during the time of The
Troubles , the Irish civil war. Although Heaney left at the height of the war, it is
obvious his work reflects his experiences of that time.

They seem weak and terrified.
Heaney uses words such as, purges , the water pumped in , scraggy wee shits ,
dunghill and dung to suggest that the kittens seem like waste. The title reflects the
idea of waste, as the word purges means getting rid of undesirables. The water
pumped in, indicates what happens when flushing a toilet, therefore getting rid of
waste.
Dan Taggart calls the kittens, scraggy wee shits which shows that he doesn t care
about the killing of the kittens and treats them as waste to be got rid of. He justifies
his actions by suggesting the kittens have no value. A dunghill can be used for getting
rid of dung and the kittens are sluiced on the dunghill. The word sluiced means
flushed indicating a toilet, so the kittens are therefore treated as waste. Throughout
the poem we are viewing the killing through Heaney s eyes and it is evident that he
does not like the killing as he uses words such as soft , tiny and frail to suggest the
kittens are innocent and harmless. The words, For days I sadly hung round the yard,
watching the three sogged remains and the fear came back suggest he was affected
by the carnage and murder he witnessed. However, toward the end of the poem he is
forced to accept the killing and torture.
Heaney became numb, unfeeling and almost deadened. This is shown in the words, I
just shrug, Bloody pups . It makes sense . He is almost imitating Dan Taggart at this
point to justify

George Smith Patton Character Traits
General George Smith Patton A burning desire to go forth and reach personal
conquests exists inside every man. This passion often navigates the would be hero
into a state of tragedy involving pain and suffering for those around. One individual,
in particular, inflicted strain and duress on others with a harsh, and often criticized
unorthodox style of leading when he took his campaign across Europe and into
Germany. General George Smith Patton, Jr. led an expedition across a continent to
rid the world of its Nazi powers. This journey marked the conquest of perhaps the
world s greatest war general and his reputable demeanor. Patton experienced respect

He believed in hard work and a tough mental state of mind from his men. He
expected them to be physically fit and be able to handle themselves through the
most rigorous conditions. Patton got his first tastes of action in pursuit of Mexico
s legendary Pancho Villa in 1916 with the U.S. Cavalry. He was later transferred to
the new Armored branch as the first U.S. Commander of Armor. During World War
I, Patton was struck by machine gun fire and was seriously wounded, narrowly
escaping a possible death. (1). After being wounded, Patton stayed in the armed
forces and continued to head the Armored division during the time of peace. Soon
enough Patton s expertise and services would be requested once again in a mere
twenty years. On September 1, 1939, a Nazi leader named Adolph Hitler ordered
his German troops to invade and take over Poland. It was this day that marked the
beginning of the tumultuous World War II. The United States didn t declare any
involvement in this European campaign until December 15, 1941, more than two
years later. This war was fought in Europe, against Germany, to oppose Germany s
rapid march toward a militaristic society. An opposition standing in the Nazi s way
was none other than the most feared general in any army, George Patton.Patton s first
great contributions to the war effort started on November 7, 1942, when he led his
armored units into Morocco and removed the German presence.
The Main Factors Of The Spanish Inquisition In Spain
The Spanish Inquisition affected Spain s national Identify as it was the first time that
Spain ever encountered an Inquisition with the soul purpose of getting rid of all
hersey including any of those who converted from Judaism and Islam to Christian.
There were three huge factors on why the Inquisition every started in Spain, the main
factor was that it allowed the christian leaders to conquer Spain and take any control
away that the Muslim authority had before. Another key factor is that it caused a
huge rivalry between two young kings of France and Spain. The last factor was that
it unified two kingdoms under the leadership of the newly married monarchs, Isabella
I and Ferdinand II. The Inquisition caused Spain to have a huge shift... Show more

Accidental Statesman Analysis
The Accidental Statesman: General Petraeus and the City of Mosul, Iraq
General Petraeus was a career military officer whom graduated from the US
Military Academy at West Point. He was always very competitive and would
always strive for the best. According to a news feed, Petraeus always told his
soldiers Life is a competitive endeavor (Bowmen, 2010). General Petraeus held many
commands, but gained most of his knowledge when selected as the deputy
commander of a counter terrorism joint task force. His position taught him the crucial
importance how excellent intelligence was to effective military operations and
learned the mechanics of multinational operations. In 2002, Major General Petraeus
assumed command for the US ARMY s 101st Airborne Division. In 2003, tasked with
the mission to stage the division in Kuwait, Petraeus was to occupy the Nineveh
province, a sector of Iraq stretching over 75,000 square kilometers. In the direct
center and having the best tactical advantage, the capital city of Mosul was where
he would occupy first. Soon after the occupation of the city of Mosul, Major
General Petraeus was successful during the occupation of Mosul, Iraq because he
was able to direct his key leaders, lead his troops, and assess situations to accomplish
the mission.

controversy over the exhibit around the Enola Gay became very serious now. This

The Experimenter Must Conduct Electrolysis Essay
The purpose of this experiment is to confirm Avogadro s number. To do this the
experimenter must conduct electrolysis. Electrolysis, as given to us in the
experiment instructions, is where an external power supply is used to drive an
otherwise nonspontaneous reaction. A zinc strip and a copper strip will be used as
electrodes. Electrodes are devices that move electrons into or out of a solution by
conduction ( Definition ). The electrodes will be placed into a beaker of sulfuric
acid. By using the copper strip as the anode and the zincstrip as the cathode, the
experimenter will make the cell electrolytic in order to oxidize a copper electrode.
The anode of a device is the terminal where current flows in from outside and the
cathode of a device is the terminal where current flows out (Denker). By measuring
the amount of copper that was deposited in the electroplating process, the
experimenter will be able to determine the average current in the reaction and
determine the amount of atoms in one mole of copper. The experimenter will then
compare this number to Avogadro s number, determining how accurate Avogadro s
number is. In this experiment, the experimenter will be using a LabQuest, a
Vernier Current Probe, a 1.5 volt DC power source, 2 connecting wires with
alligator clips, an ohm resistor, a copper strip, and a zinc strip to set up the
experiment. The experimenter will also need the following: sand paper to clean a
strip of copper, an analytical balance to
When I Start Playing Guitar Analysis
1. When and why did you start playing?
I started playing when I was 10, my older brother introduced me to heaps of different

  • 2. Alice Walker s Innocence And Subsequent Loss Thereof Essay Alice Walker shows Myop s innocence and subsequent loss thereof through her usage of vivid imagery as well as the small setting and symbolism in The Flowers. Myop s sudden exposure to the harsh reality of racism surrounding her shatters her innocence. This moment marks a change in the tone of the short story, showcasing the main character s shift in how she understands the world around her. Myop is suddenly and violently thrust into a world in which skin color dictates how others in society will treat her. There is a noticeable shift in tone in The Flowers as Myop becomes exposed to the world outside her home. The initial tone of the short story is carefree and child like. Although the point of view of the story is third person omniscient, it is still evident that the readers are viewing the story through the perspective of a child. The young protagonist skips lightly from hen house to pigpen to smokehouse (Walker) showing that she is happy, excited even, to enjoy the nature that surrounds her. As Myop explores, it becomes evident that her family s financial situation is less than ideal. Wandering towards the woods, she leaves behind the rusty boards of her family s sharecropper cabin (185). Despite learning very little about the setting of this story, the reader can already picture the scene as well as the time period. Very little is written about the setting outside of the family home and the surrounding woods. This supports the childlike tone of the beginning of the

I observed one species of an old world monkey, which was a gorilla and two different species of new world monkeys, which were the Bolivian Grey Titi Monkey and also the Golden Lion Tamerin. The first type of primate I observed was a Bolivian Grey Titi Monkey which is a type of new world monkey species found in areas of eastern Bolivia and also can be found in Brazil. The scientific term for this species is Callicebus donacophilus. These types of monkeys have medium sized body ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I observed a type of Ape known as the Western Lowland Gorilla. The scientific name for a Gorilla is the Gorilla gorilla. Gorillas are the largest of all living primates and at native to west central Africa. Gorillas exhibit sexual dimorphism within their species because males are very obviously much larger than females. The size of the gorillas came across very intimating and gave me an off impression of what this specie was actually going to be like. While observing the gorillas I noticed that these creatures are very slow, lethargic primates. Gorillas move quadrupedally by putting weight down on their arms and knuckles as they walk. They have hands and opposable thumbs, like humans, and are able to grasp things with a better grip. When Gorillas need to reach above themselves such as for leaves or branches they are able to stand on both legs while reaching. While resting Gorillas sit on their bottoms, legs to the side in a similar position that humans do. When resting I noticed that sometimes Gorillas like to take advantage of the moment by self grooming, using their hands. Gorillas usually have an herbivore diet but eat occasional insects. Due to their large body structure it is harder for them move around quickly so they do not need to eat foods that contain as much nutrients and proteins as smaller,
  • 4. A New Study On The American Schooling System A famous quote once said, Knowledge is power. A new study shows that the American schooling system, when compared to other countries, such as China, that has parallel statuses, is lagging extremely behind regarding educational achievement; matter of fact, the United States ranks in the lowest quartile in such an assessment. Research, along with student exam scores, has also shown a substantial achievement gap between students of little and high economic states. So President Bush created No Child Left Behind, which deals with Common Core. However, Common Core is not effective because it s too vigorous too early, not enough training to properly implement in the schooldistricts, and all students are not the same. Common Core: two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Numerous court cases deal with Common Core, but there is this one that is in New Orleans that stuck out the most. It states that a child should be easily able to accomplish to the next grade without struggling. Students in elementary are getting college work, and not learning what they need to get to go to the next grade. Children in Kindergarten are learning how to multiply before they learn how to subtract or add. To some people, this sounds great, but is it? One should want his or her child to find out how to add before multiply because it goes hand and hand. The people that made Common Core made the parents believe that it is right for his or her child, however, the curriculum includes hard topics that are learned in higher grades. Put a stop to Common Core before it does further damage to our children s education. (Haskins, State Discretion over Subject). There are parents around the world that want common core to stop because they are complaining about the new Common Core aligned Math and English curriculum their children are bringing home (Toscano, The Common Core). Common core is not only stressing out the children, but it is also stressing out the parents that care about his or her child well being. The teachers are not getting the proper training he or she needs to teach the children. With common core, teachers have to teach the child on multiple choice standpoint. [M]any students came home

  • 6. Should Quebec (or Other Provinces) Separate From Canada... Should Quebec (or other provinces) Separate From Canada In Order To Best Protect Its Constitutional Rights? In my opinion, all provinces in Canada, including Quebec should not separate. Quebec has been one of the provinces of Canada for a long period of time. Most people in the world view that it is one of the component in Canada. French Canadian and English Canadian seem to live together peacefully without conflict, even many people with different cultures and languages come to Canada in recent years. People in a nation are like brothers and sisters, they should help and protect each other. If Quebec separates, it will act like one of the family members leave the family and no longer maintains his last name. Nobody wishes to have this happens in his family. Beside, identity of a nation is very important. It makes difference between country and country. People in the world know that Canada is mainly formed by French Canadian and English Canadian, and it has bilingual and muiltcultural culture. Most French Canadian lives in Quebec. If Canada loses Quebec, the French Canadian culture will surly be lost. If there is no French Canadian culture, then the identity of bilingual will no longer need. Multiculturalism will no longer support by the French culture. Canada will hurt a lot because it loses one of the most special identities. Canada, including Quebec belong to every Canadian, not only the Quebecers. Every Canadian should have the right to determine Quebec should leave or stay. It is normal in a democratic country and government should respect to what the citizens say. In Canada, only 22% of people agree that Quebec should separate, as well as 27% in Alberta. By these percentages, we can see that most people disagree Quebec to separate. Moreover, 80% people in Alberta oppose letting a separate Quebec use the Canadian money dollar, and 69% against letting Quebecers
  • 7. Insights Into My Own Feelings Insights into My Own Feelings Poems often give you insights into your own feelings and experiences. Jimmy Baca wrote a poem called So Mexicans Are Taking Jobs from Americans, and upon reading this poem, I discovered many insights into my own feelings. Jimmy Baca seems to be angry at the fact that Americans think Mexicans take their jobs away. The feelings I have towards what s happening in this poem is that Americans are often victimized, a feeling of being offended, and I feel confused. After reading the poem So We Are Taking Jobs from Americans, I as an American felt somewhat victimized. In the poem, Baca says, I hear Mexicans are taking your jobs away. Do they sneak into town at night, and as you are walking home with your whore, do they mug you, a knife at your throat, saying I want your job? (Lines 7 11) What Jimmy Baca is saying is that Americans aren t forced out of our jobs, but illegal immigrants do migrate to America through the night. No, they don t hold guns or knives to our throats and make us give them our jobs, but they illegally come into our country and work for little to nothing which is the same thing as forcefully taking our jobs away. He also says, O Yes? Do they come on horses with rifles, and say, Ese Gringo, gimmee your job? (1 3) Saying this makes it seem like the only way to take something from someone is by force. It makes me feel victimized if someone comes over to America illegally and will work for anything, it takes the work from me.

  • 9. The National Football League Is The Most Popular Sport The National Football League is the most popular sport in America. The NFL is the most lucrative sports business in the world by generating 9 billion dollars a year. For whatever reason peoples eyes are glued to the television every Sunday, whether it be to root on their hometown team or to follow their fantasy football team. The league has been under fire for the safety of the players for a very long time, but more so in the last couple of years. The biggest part of the scrutiny is that repeated head trauma can cause long term brain damage. The rules must change in the game of football because it has become too dangerous and creates a long term threat to players. Equipment has improved tremendously over the years to help with the safety... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A helmet hit from Morris Badgro in the 1930 would lay down players with 970 pounds of force and a helmet hit from the current player Holati Ngata unleashes 1700 pounds of force. The National Football League is constantly working on making the game safer. There needs to be a waiver in the contract of the players that prevents them suing the league for any post career health issues. If the players were not part of the National Football League Players Association, a labor union for the players, the waiver would already be in place. The players union says that it would be against the collective bargaining agreement for the NFL to come up with such waiver (cite.) The waiver probably stems from the lawsuits against the NFL by former players. The number of suits continues to grow with the largest one being nearly 800 million dollars. The former players accused the league of hiding the long term effects of concussions and rushing players back onto the field, while profiting from the games violence. There have been multiple players who have been on the NFL s side and said that they would be willing to sign a waiver saying that they would not sue the league if any post football health issues occurred. There have been much needed changes on the field to change the safety of the game. The changes have drawn a lot of criticism. A friend of mine refers to it as the No Fun League instead of the National Football league, but this is what has to happen
  • 10. The Tennis Court Oath And The Death Of Marat The French Revolution was a chaotic time of blood, death, and fear. Though there were many negative outcomes and events of the Revolution, it big change to sweep across France. The Revolution began in the middle of 1789 with the swearing of the Tennis Court Oath, in which members of the third estate, as well as some from the first and second estates, swore that they would not go anywhere until they had written a constitution for France. Then, the Revolution really took off, and continued on for years. Many people influenced the Revolution, such as Marat and Robespierre. The death of Marat was another event that had a large influence on the Revolution, as though he had caused lots of deaths, he was stilled viewed as a hero by most. Looking at the two paintings The Tennis Court Oath, and The Death of Marat, The Tennis Court Oath depicts a more significant and relevant event, as this was the event to really cause the French Revolutionto take off. The Tennis Court Oath is a painting that depicts the swearing of an oath by members mainly from the third estate, but also some from the first and second that had sided with the third. More energy from the sunlight strikes the Earth in one hour (4.3 Г— 1020 J) than all the energy consumed on the planet in a year (4.1 Г— 1020 J) therefore solar energy has a bright future ahead. The first solar cell was invented in 1953 and had efficacy rate of 4 present while toady s solar cell is 40 present efficient. SolarCity is using the one of the efficient solar panels which yields 30 to 40 percent more energy than similar size solar module available in the market. Components There are many components those makes a solar panel. These components can be defined as external and internal components. A basic unit of the solar module is a solar cell and many solar cells create one solar module and more than one solar module creates an array. External Components External components are components which are used in the solar module s external body as mention in the figure below in layers. Frame Framing play a very important role in a solar module because it will hold the panels together in addition, it protect the solar module from many environmental factors for instance wind and rain. Aluminum is commonly used in the solar module framing because of its unique properties. According to a feminist reading of this play, In the Elizabethian era . . . women were expected to be silent, chaste, and obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers, and all men in general . . . As we go through Othello we find that the women characters are presented according to this expectation of the Elizabethan society (Feminist). Those who are lactose intolerant also have diminishes levels of lactase, the small intestinal enzyme responsible for the catalysis of lactose. Dietary supplementation of the lactase enzyme has, in some cases, proven to rectify the symptoms of lactose intolerance. During infancy the vast majority of humans have the ability to digest and catabolize lactose into glucose and galactose via the lactase enzyme. This catabolic capability is vital for newborn mammals, given that their primary source of nutrition comes from their mother s milk. During the weaning period, when children cease to use milk as a primary source of nutrition, the production of the lactase enzyme severely deteriorates and eventually leads to the inability to catabolize lactose. While this may be the natural progression of the expression of the lactase enzyme, there remains a large, predominantly western population that maintains a steady production of lactase, those individuals are known as lactase persistent (Baumgart, et al.). Lactase Persistence Causes: Lactase persistence has been strongly suggested to be a function of genetic causes and its inheritance occurs in an autosomal recessive manner. Individuals that exhibit the highest lactase activity are genotypically homozygous recessive for lactase persistence; where as individuals who show lower lactase activities are heterozygous or homozygous

The main difference between the network data model and the hierarchical data model, is that in the network model a child could have a many to many relationship with its parent entity. The main limitation of record based data models like the network and hierarchical is they do not provide adequate facilities for explicitly specifying constraints on the data (Connolly 2009). Another limitation of the network and hierarchical model is that they require the user to have knowledge of the physical database being accessed, whereas the relational data model provides a substantial amount of data independence. To decide whether or not they are useful or not you must first understand each side of the argument. So first, let s examine the pros of having a stadiumwithin your city. Then, we will discuss the harms of having one. And finally, decide which side is more beneficial for the economy. Proponents of subsidizing sports stadiums is a great decision because the economic impact it will have on the community is great for two main reasons. First, sports stadiums are massive construction projects. In fact, one could compare them to a medieval cathedral in their attempts to dominate a skyline and inspire pride in one s city And, just like these cathedrals, they are very expensive, and massive building projects that would require many years of hard painstaking labor. For example, the proposed stadium for the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, California, was predicted to cost $3 billion and add 22,000 construction jobs to the economy of Los Angeles, California. Although construction jobs do eventually disappear once a stadium is constructed once the games begin, so does the massive consumer spending. For example, more than 3.5 million people saw the St. Louis Cardinals play at Busch Stadium in 2015.

There is one environmental issue, however, that streams across all these areas, and threatens the safety of our country, and of many bodies of water all over the world, and that is the issue of Oil Spills. An oil spillcan be defined as, an unintentional release of crude oil or refined oil products into the environment. Oil spills are considered to be a major source of chemical pollution. Most of these spills occur through human error, however, there are cases where oil seeps through deposits under the ocean floor. These spills can occur on land, in the ocean, and even when oil is spilled down storm drains that lead directly into lakes and rivers. Not only do oil spills threaten to destroy our ecosystem and endanger our wildlife, oil spills can be harmful to human beings as well. The reason that this is so stems from the fact that oil itself is considered to be semi volatile. This means that it can evaporate into the air and create a heavy vapor which lingers and can be breathed in by humans, and can travel deeply into people s lungs. This can in turn cause many health issues such as nausea, vomiting, headaches, and even difficulty breathing. • 33. Sully Movie Analysis When the movie Sully first came out, it received a wide range of mixed reviews from both critics and normal movie goers alike. Although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not everyone agrees with what other people think. Because Sully is a movie that is based on a true real life event, society has mixed reviews about how the movie was played out because it was based on a real event. Three movie critics gave their thoughts on the movie and each one has different views then the other reviewer does on the producer of the movie Clint Eastwood, the captain, Sully, National Transportation Safety Board, and the co pilot, Jeffrey Skiles, whom will all be seen in this essay. Sully will go down in history as the movie that had both a wide range of reviews and also told the story of a government agency trying to put the blame on a worldwide hero. Because Sully is based off an event that involves an airplane, the safety personnel had to get involved to investigate the cause if the accident. Due to the fact that the National Transportation Safety Board is made up of many highly intelligent people, there was bound to give way to issues that arrived between the captain who landed the plane, Captain Sully, and the National Transportation Safety Administration know as NTSB for short. The NTSB was in charge of investigating the event because it deals with transportation. Matthew Lickona and Scott Marks are both movie critics who work for the San Diego Reader. Both authors

It may be argued that the art of photography itself is not organic, but merely the careful manipulation of external elements, constructed by the artist. The general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput of the multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = в€’Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of a pMOS transistor and falling the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias temperature instability occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term, the system may be fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable high performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging aware multiplier design with a novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to provide the higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the adaptive hold logic

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Naproxen 2.RESEARCH OBJECTIVES A great number of drugs available on the market contain an active ingredient that is poorly soluble in water and has a low dissolution rate. Various approaches to improve these properties exist. One of the most common approaches is the production of a solid dispersion (SD), whereas the use of porous carriers, such as calcium carbonate, also proved to be potential. Since naproxen is a substance with good permeability and low solubility (Class II according to BCS), dissolution is the limiting factor that determines the speed and extent of absorption of the active ingredient. Plasma concentrations of naproxen are increasing in proportion to a dose of up to 500 mg, while higher doses were less proportionate. Plasma protein increases the creatinine clearance due to the saturation binding of naproxen. Distribution Plasma concentrations of naproxen are in the usual dose between 23 mg/L and 49 mg/L. 99 % of plasma proteins bind naproxen at concentrations of up to 50 mg/L, whereas at higher concentrations the unbound drug amount is increased. Thus, at a concentration of 473 mg/L 2.4 % of unbound naproxen were measured. Due to the strong binding to plasma proteins, the volume of distribution is low and amounts to only 0.9 L/kg of body weight. Metabolism and excretion There is no presystematic metabolism. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Contract Theory In the Elements of Moral Philosophy, written by James Rachels, the theory of Social Contract Theory is defined as the set of rules, governing behaviors, that rational people will accept, on the condition that others accept them as well (Rachels EMP 85). The author describes that the theory aims to explain the purpose of both morality and government within a society. Rachels states that the purpose of morality is to make social living possible; the purpose of government is to enforce vital moral rules (Rachels EMP 85). In essence, social contracttheory dictates an implicit set of rules by which a specific society is governed. The set of rules lays the framework for what will be considered moral or not within the society. The goal of this essay is to objectively analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the social contract theory, and describe how they impact the world. Ultimately, even though the text provides concerns regarding the disadvantages of the contract, the contract still exists today and thus can be successful despite the author s criticism. Social contract theory promotes the existence of social order and provides the foundation for morality (Rachels EMP 82). Heaney uses words such as, purges , the water pumped in , scraggy wee shits , dunghill and dung to suggest that the kittens seem like waste. The title reflects the idea of waste, as the word purges means getting rid of undesirables. The water pumped in, indicates what happens when flushing a toilet, therefore getting rid of waste. Dan Taggart calls the kittens, scraggy wee shits which shows that he doesn t care about the killing of the kittens and treats them as waste to be got rid of. He justifies his actions by suggesting the kittens have no value. A dunghill can be used for getting rid of dung and the kittens are sluiced on the dunghill. The word sluiced means flushed indicating a toilet, so the kittens are therefore treated as waste. Throughout the poem we are viewing the killing through Heaney s eyes and it is evident that he does not like the killing as he uses words such as soft , tiny and frail to suggest the kittens are innocent and harmless. The words, For days I sadly hung round the yard, watching the three sogged remains and the fear came back suggest he was affected by the carnage and murder he witnessed. However, toward the end of the poem he is forced to accept the killing and torture. Heaney became numb, unfeeling and almost deadened. This is shown in the words, I just shrug, Bloody pups . You would think from this exhibit that hardly any Japanese lives were lost. SHAMEFUL, wrote an anonymous skeptic, Julia klein 12. They change the name to make the people think of it more favorable, this committee made a good decision in 2003. They made sure it sounded all
  • 53. The Experimenter Must Conduct Electrolysis Essay The purpose of this experiment is to confirm Avogadro s number. To do this the experimenter must conduct electrolysis. Electrolysis, as given to us in the experiment instructions, is where an external power supply is used to drive an otherwise nonspontaneous reaction. A zinc strip and a copper strip will be used as electrodes. Electrodes are devices that move electrons into or out of a solution by conduction ( Definition ). The electrodes will be placed into a beaker of sulfuric acid. By using the copper strip as the anode and the zincstrip as the cathode, the experimenter will make the cell electrolytic in order to oxidize a copper electrode. The anode of a device is the terminal where current flows in from outside and the cathode of a device is the terminal where current flows out (Denker). By measuring the amount of copper that was deposited in the electroplating process, the experimenter will be able to determine the average current in the reaction and determine the amount of atoms in one mole of copper. The experimenter will then compare this number to Avogadro s number, determining how accurate Avogadro s number is. In this experiment, the experimenter will be using a LabQuest, a Vernier Current Probe, a 1.5 volt DC power source, 2 connecting wires with alligator clips, an ohm resistor, a copper strip, and a zinc strip to set up the experiment. The experimenter will also need the following: sand paper to clean a strip of copper, an analytical balance to
  • 54. When I Start Playing Guitar Analysis 1. When and why did you start playing? I started playing when I was 10, my older brother introduced me to heaps of different music especially 80 s 90 s punk and I loved it... I loved everything from punk to pop really, I d lay in bed at night listening to the radio trying to record my favorite songs on my walkman and wanted to play it just seemed like a natural thing to want to do... I ve never really thought why I began, I just loved music !! 2. Which instruments do you play? I play guitar and piano, I learnt guitar first when I was 10 and piano later when I started producing. Electronic music and the process of writing is largely based around the use of some type of key board or sampler so I think that skill just comes about. I still write a lot of my music on guitar and use [a] piano to recreate them ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Who was your first teacher? Other teachers? For a month or two, I went to a family friend and he would show me songs to play and I had friends who started playing around the time I did so we would learn new stuff and show each other... But never actually had lessons for any instruments. 9. Describe your first instrument. Other instruments. My first Guitar was a Fender Strat model but a fake one, we couldn t afford the real thing. I played that for years and eventually got a Gibson Les Paul and these days play a Fender Telecaster (a real one now) and have a Maton acoustic guitar! Piano wise, apart fro a few second hand organs I sal vaged from junk piles... I have only ever owned midi keyboards... 10. What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town? Basically, every awesome memory I have involves music... But things like my first band (which was called Two Odd Socks ha), we use to jam in my garage or my mates back room and those days were unforgettable, and my younger days going to concerts with my older bro... there is nothing I would trade for those memories. 11. Were you influenced by old records tapes? Which
