Martin Luther King I Have A Dream
Analysis Essay
Crafting an essay on the analysis of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech can be a
challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a profound understanding of
King's powerful rhetoric and the historical context surrounding the Civil Rights Movement but
also in the responsibility to convey the significance of his words accurately.
Analyzing the speech requires a meticulous examination of King's use of language, rhetorical
devices, and the emotional impact on the audience. It demands a deep dive into the socio-
political landscape of the 1960s, comprehending the struggles and injustices that fueled King's
call for equality and justice.
Moreover, synthesizing one's insights into a cohesive essay involves careful organization and
coherence. One must articulate a clear thesis, provide insightful analysis, and support arguments
with relevant evidence from the speech. Crafting a nuanced and original perspective on such a
well-known and impactful piece of oratory is no small feat.
In addition, expressing one's thoughts in a way that captivates readers and does justice to the
gravity of King's message adds another layer of complexity. Striking the right balance between
academic rigor and engaging prose is an art in itself.
Despite these challenges, writing an essay on this topic can be a rewarding experience. It offers
an opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of King's words, explore the nuances of his
message, and reflect on the enduring relevance of his dream for a more just and equal society.

Protista Essay
Protista are simple eukaryotic organisms where the DNA is enclosed in a nucleus
inside the cell. Protists are not animals, plants or fungi. Protists can be classified in
to four general subgroups, the plantlike algae, animal like protozoans, fungus like
slime molds and water molds. Protozoa are mostly the predators and parasites, for
example, Amoeba sp. and Paramecium sp.. They live in water and moist terrestrial
habitats.
From all the microbes, viruses are the simplest and tiniest, just a ball of genes
wrapped in a shell, about a millionth of an inch across. Viruses are unique because
they only alive and able to multiply inside the cells of other living organisms, also
called the host cell. Viruses are found in about every material and environment on

Application of microbe in industry/industries with examples
Microbes usually applied in agriculture industry because expert find out that
microorganism found in the soil can help to improve agricultural productivity. For
example, microbes like Agrobacterium tumefaciens are used in plants and this will
cause the plants to be genetic engineered so that they become more resistant to
certain pests, herbicides and diseases. Furthermore, microbe like Bacillus thuringensis
is used in plant too in order to supply protein that is lethal to insects when they
consume it. This can reduce the use of chemical insecticides and become more eco
friendly to the environment.
Furthermore, microbes are key component in food industry. Fermentation processes
can be carried out by using the microbes like lactic acid, yeast, moulds and bacteria
to make food products like beer, bread, yoghurt and cheese. For example, the
bacterium Lactobacillus acidophilus is used to produce yogurt. Besides, bacterial
acetic acid fermentation can produce vinegars. A microbe called Aspergillus sp. is
used in the production of alcoholic beverages and also commonly used in the large
scale fermentation in the production of Japanese

When his family is threatened, Shea reluctantly joins the quest to find the Sword
and destroy Brona. The location is a world where science destroyed the landscape

Using Benghazi to Study Politicical and Ethical Issues Essay
On September 11th, 2012, the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked.
During the attack, around 150 men killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and
another diplomat. A few hours later, the CIA annex was attacked and two more were
killed. At the start of the attack, news had reached the United States. Later that night
and into the morning, Leon Panetta, Secretary of Defense at the time, was informed.
When the president was informed, however is not known. The question of who was
responsible came up quickly. When asked, White House officials, including Hillary
Clinton, responded that the attackwas spurred on by an anti Muslim video on
YouTube. The owner of the video was taken into custody. However, the truthfulness

These pleas were not answered, going against political norm. When the question of
who decided to blame the video came up, it was circumvented repeatedly. This
brings up the idea of what should be a norm. Ethically, a greater transparency would
be preferred to the murky glass the government sometimes gives the public to see
them through. However one looks at it, the Benghazi attack illustrates political norms
that were not heeded, and the consequences, as of today, have not been fully realized.
The second component of political science is the component that consists of
empirical data. This is the real information behind a situation. It includes the causes
of events and patterns of public action as well as many other aspects of empirical
data. We use our observational powers and reason, along with many other tools, to
investigate significant problems, including the Benghazi attack. When data is
collected, it is used to test hypotheses and help predict what will happen when
similar factors meet. In this component we would ask, Who pushed the video? . A
political scientist would look for evidence supporting a hypothesis related to this
question. He or she would collect data from people involved in the response to the
attack and then present his or her evidence. A more general question that would be
represented in this component of political science is the question of why exactly the

As with our student population, we at the Northwestern Academy believe our
teachers and faculty should be as talented as possible. This is the reason that
qualifications are the primary consideration when considering potential applicants
for our faculty. Race, religion, sex and gender will not be factors in who is hired.
However, diversity not only brings advantages in terms of educational benefits, but
it also can spur a sense of creativity in the minds of our students and faculty.
Because of this, we will provide clear information to our all of our candidates over a
broad range of mediums to find many different types of candidates. Even though a
portion of our professors come from Northwestern University, some will come from
outside of the Northwestern system, and we require these candidates to be just as
qualified as the ones that come from within the Northwestern system.
A point of differentiation between Northwestern Academy and other schools is that
our professor turnover rate is slightly higher than the industry average (due to
professors advancing in the world of academia). This will lead to a constantly
changing faculty. The interviewprocess will be the same for all applicants, and will
thus help us make decisions primarily based on an applicant s qualifications, and help
us maintain a talent standard in terms of faculty. Examples of
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
In this new generation, we can see that a lot of children have learning disabilities.
Learning disabilities include Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and
Dyslexia. Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common
childhood brain disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood.
ADHD is gifted. Other than this, Attentiondeficit hyperactive disorder also can say is

Personal Finance Unit 2 Term Paper
Q2
There is a high positive correlation between the interest rate of housing mortgage loan
and the government s long term guarantee interest rate. Mortgage institutions offering
fixed rate mortgages may be adversely affected by rising interest rates, because their
mortgage financing costs will increase, while mortgage interest income will remain
unchanged. Lenders can reduce interest rate risk by offering adjustable rate
mortgages, so mortgage income may vary with changes in financing costs as interest
rates change.
Q3
Adjustable rate mortgages usually offer lower initial interest rates than fixed rate
mortgages to compensate borrowers for taking interest rate risks. The ceiling of
adjustable rate mortgages limits the extent to which interest rates shift from interest
rates to mortgages. If the interest rate is beyond the implicit range of the ceiling, the
mortgage rate will not be fully adjusted to the market interest rate. Therefore, if
interest rates rise substantially, mortgage rates may not fully offset the increased cost
of capital.

A Short History Of Disease Chapter Summary
As the second part of this reflection paper, I selected a book A Short History of
Disease by Sean Martin. He is a writer and filmmaker also known for his other
famous books like The Knights Templar, Alchemy and alchemists, the Gnostics.
His films include Lanterna Magicka: Bill Douglas the secret history of cinema.
The most alluring thing which conceives me to cull this book is a history of the
disease, as a medical professional, it s always tantalizing to know from where all
these begins and this book reaches up to my expectations as it started from the first
ever recorded disease in the history of mankind. He isn t lying when he say this a
history of the disease. He starts from the earliest bacteria to evolve on the earth, long
before there was anything around to infect. This book is divided into seven chapters,
each chapter describes the history of diseases in a particular era. Chapter One:

Pol Pot And The Cambodian Genocide
Genocide has been used in many different countries, trying to kill a specific race or
types of people. There are some popular genocides that get talked about a lot like the
holocaust, but other genocides like the Cambodian genocide are rarely talked about
in the US because the US indirectly helped the Cambodian Genocide with its
bombings of Cambodia. The Cambodian genocide was a huge tragedy that took
place after the US bombed parts of Cambodia to help Vietnam. After the bombing the
Khmer Rouge, along with its leader Pol Pot, started to take over Cambodia and
changed people s lifestyles. Many people believed Pol Pot s motivating desire was
because of his communist ideology, but that was false. Due to Pol Pot s
opportunist nature and the use of the communist title, he was able to gain power
and kill many Cambodians who had conformed to western influence because he
wanted to create the ideal society for himself. In order for Pol Pot to create his
own society, he needed to surround himself with people and buildings that were
not influenced by western culture. When Pol Pot took over he started to force
everyone to live as laborers and killed anyone who was a threat to his power

food and come in infinite varieties. They are a type of living organism that has no
roots, leaves, flowers or seeds. Mushrooms are actually fungi and in many
countries, that is what they are called. There are countless varieties of Mushrooms
that are edible and there are probably just as many or more that are not edible. The
mushrooms that are not edible can be poisonous and can cause severe illness or
worse, death. For that reason, wild mushrooms should not be picked by anyone
other than a trained mycologist. Mushrooms can be purchased dried, canned or
fresh. For a long time, even though there are over 590 species of Mushrooms found
growing in California, the only Mushrooms readily available in the United States for
consumption were Brown Mushrooms and White Mushrooms. Photos of some of the
California Mushrooms can be found on Myko Web, a site that specializes in

The President Of Bartavia s Fiscal Policy With The...
The President of Bartavia wants to enact expansionary fiscal policy with the intention
of manipulating inflation and unemployment. Although Bartavia is nearly employing
all of its resources in production and extremely close to full employment level, the
President is still concerned about the small percentage that is unemployed.
Unemployment is the state of a person without a job or a reliable salary or income.
Inflationand unemployment are characteristics that are closely monitored to indicate
the economic performance of a country. As the economic advisor to the president, I
would strongly advise against implementing this policy. Currently, the economy is not
in a recession making the trade offs associated with economic expansion counter
intuitive. In addition, the Phillips Curve demonstrates the inverse relationship
between inflation and unemployment, making the need for expansionary action
unnecessary right now. Finally, Okun s Law shows how this policy would effect
Bartavia s GDP via the sacrifice ratio. These three reasons show that the long run
consequences outweigh the short run benefits of expansionary fiscal policy.
Therefore, I implore the President to avoid implementing the expansionary policy.
First of all, expansionary fiscal policy is passed to expand the money supply of an
economy to encourage economic prosperity, growth, and combat inflation. Inflation
is described as the overall increase of prices in an economy or country. There are
several ways an

Duterte as the country s next president
`Rodrigo Roa Duterte also known as Digong is a Filipino lawyer and politician of
Visayan descent. Duterte was among the longest serving mayors in the Philippines
and has been the mayor of Davao City for 7 terms that sums up to more than 22
years. He has also served as vice mayor and congressman in the city. With these
experiences, Rodrigo Duterte should be the next president of the Philippines.
Rodrigo Duterte deserves to be the next president of the Philippines because he has
strict implementation of laws. He has made Davao City as one of the safest country in
the world. Duterte, through Executive Order No. 24, ordered all shopping malls
and commercial centers to install, operate and maintain high end and high
definition closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras at all entrance and exit points
of their premises (Rodrigo Duterte). This executive order ensures the safety of the
people and contributes to the lessening of crimes that is happening in commercial
centers. He does not tolerate people who uses drugs and has imposed extrajudicial
killings in Davao City. He was dubbed as The Punisher by the Time Magazine

We know Jack acquired the stock in 2001 as part of an inheritance, but we don t
have the exact date of death of the relative he inherited the stock from. On the form
we reported the last day of the year as this would be the most conservative estimate
for the holding period for short term vs. long term. Since 2001 was several years
ago this doesn t impact the holding period for the stock. It is long term. We also
assumed that the stock value was $39.21/share. The price needed would actually be
the closing price on the date of death of Jack s relative.
Form 1040 Schedule A
For lines 6 and 10 of the schedule we determined that deducting 90% of Jack s stated
amounts was appropriate because he already deducted the other 10% on Form 8829.
For Line 16 we determined based on research that the Atlanta Symphony was a for
profit enterprise and as such his contribution to the organization is not deductable.
Opportunities for Tax Savings and Tax Planning 1) We determined that Jack s
contribution to the Atlanta Symphony was not a deductable contribution on the 1040
because the organization is a for profit enterprise. If the Symphony somehow shows
that Jack made a contribution on behalf of his business by putting the business name
in flyers, programs, or lists his business as a sponsor of an event it is possible that
Jack could deduct the amount as a business expense. This will require
Education Is Affected By Budget Cuts
Introduction Education is affected by budget cuts as it has been for many years in
the United States. New policies are enacted for accountability and new legislation
passed for increasing budget cuts in education is prevalent (2010).The question that
must be asked are states are able to fund education adequately while still meeting the
needs of all students.
Benefits to state budgets The largest area of state spending is in education. Inside this
budget, schools must provide funding for transportation, food, resources in the
classroom for all students, and salaries to all employees. Throughout watching this
video, the main benefit I could see from state s financing schools are the ability to
always have a check and balance to determine if funds are being spent correctly.
When I first began teaching, the principal at the time was known to spend money
when it was not needed. When she first took over, she spent $16,000 on murals to
make our school look pretty, even though we had a major leak in the ceiling. After 3
years of not meeting AYP the state examined the funds that were spent, and the
principal was not reassigned the following year.
Downside to state budgets To begin with, the most interesting information I learned
was how in the near future we will be have to take funds away from the young to
help take care of the health care cost of the elderly. If education funds are to be cut in
half, the effects will be felt throughout society. What will have to be cut

Thoreau Rhetorical Analysis
In Thoreau s speech From Resistance to Civil Government, the most famous
sentence might be: If one HONEST man, in this State of Massachusetts, ceasing to
hold slaves, were actually to withdraw from this co partnership, and be locked up in
the country jail, therefor, it would be the abolition of slavery in America. Well, if I
were to standing by him at that moment, there is one question I want to ask him:
you, as the one HONEST man, has visited the jail already, then are you still giving
this speech? Why hasn t slaverybe abolished by now? Therefore, we can see that
although Thoreau advocates for the power of individual changes, he knows it is
going to take collective effort for any significant changes to happen. Everyone knows,
including him, that one person s withdraw of support from the governmentcan never
result in abolition; it will take a thousand people. However, Thoreau recognizes that
because of this way of thinking, people have been seeing themselves as a
dispensable agent. They will never take action if they keep waiting for more people
to get on board in the revolution. Thus, to break this death cycle, Thoreau tries to
shift people s attention away from believing that majority effort is needed, and
instead makes people believe that one single personis all it takes to change
everything, even though it was in fact not the case. The first step Thoreau takes to
foster people s beliefs of their own power, is to compare government as an machine
that has friction . By equating the government as just a machine, Thoreau invites his
audience to see government as an artificial invention whose entire existence is to
function and serve people s need. Then, Thoreau asserts that when the machine is a
little friction , people can ignore it, because it is still in their best interest to keep it
running; but when the friction comes to have its machine , we need to repair this
machine. Obviously, he think it was the time to take action immediately against
slavery and the Mexican war. In order to encourage people to stop paying taxes
immediately, he has to eliminate people s fear toward acting against the authority. So
Thoreau uses this metaphor as a illusion to debunk the fearsome image of government
Functionalist Theory And Homosexuality
The functionalist theory and the symbolic interactionist theory in regards to sexulity
and sexual orientation are vastly different. The functionalist theory perspective is that
our society upholds heterosexuality as the normative and ideal behavior. This is also
known as institutionalized heterosexuality. The symbolic interactionist perspective is
that sexual orientationis a time bound and culturally specific social invention.
Heterosexuality is something that we as a society think of as unchanging, consistent,
and universal. Homosexualityis a master status, an identity that determines how others
view them and how they view themself. These two perspectives help us understand
the social problem that is inequality in the LGBT+ community
Procedure Report For The Surgical Removal Of A

Procedure Report
When looking at the different medical procedures, I decided to choose something
that I have gone through myself about a year ago which is a tonsillectomy. A
tonsillectomy is defined as the surgical removal of the tonsils, two oval shaped
pads of tissue at the back of the throat one tonsil on each side (Mayo Clinic). This
is a procedure that can be suggested for an infection, inflammation, or for sleep
disordered breathing. The desired outcome of this procedure is to help stop
infections causing sore throats or help a person breathe better. The tonsils are two
lymph nodes at the back of the throat, and they are part of the body s defense
mechanism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tonsils are there to help fight off infections by destroying harmful bacteria. When
fighting off an infection, the tonsils become inflamed known as tonsillitis. This may
be associated with fever, sore throat, painful swallowing, and swelling of the lymph
nodes on the neck. When a person first arrives to have this procedure, an IV will be
started that had pain medication and sedative mediation in it. General anesthesia will
put a person to sleep during while the surgery is being performed. A breathing tube
will also be temporally inserted to help the patient with breathing during the
surgery. During the procedure, a special tool is used to hold the mouth open and
the tongue down (Nucleus Health). This allows for the surgeon to have a full view
of the tonsils. Next, tonsil forceps are used to grasp each tonsil as the tonsils are cut
away from the surrounding tissue. The tonsils are removed with a snare, a medical
tool, and then the bleeding will be stopped with clamps and ties or by an
electrocautery. This procedure generally takes an hour to complete. This area can
heal naturally without stitches, and it generally takes ten days. After the surgery, the
patient will be put in a recovery room while the anesthesia wears off (Nucleus
Health). The patient also normally goes home the same day as this is an outpatient

In conclusion the Ps4 comes out on top overpowering the Xbox one, although that
could change. Microsoft has unveiled that they are coming up with a new console
called Project Scorpio that is planning to beat the Ps4 by adding some of the Ps4 s
features like vr(virtual reality) combined with their own. I still have hope for, since
i have been using the Xbox all my life, but we will have to wait and see later this
year to see what it has and for now, the Ps4 reigns

The Politics of Space Exploration
The Politics of Space Exploration
The simple commanding beauty of the moments before lift off thrusters ignited as
dazzling shades of fire and smoke shatter the dreams of the sleeping rocket,
contrasted by a flawlessly infinite blue sky and heightened by an almost surreal
apprehension depict the dramatic perfection that is space exploration. This image
frozen in time, however captivating and serene, often overshadows the hidden
agendas and secret dealings that go on behind the scenes. In reality, the probing of
space has just as much to do with politics as with mankind s actual zest for
knowledge. From promoting national status through international competition, to

Von Braun s Juno 1 team had an abundance of talent and had research already
underway. Regardless, by late 1957 Project Vanguard was ready to launch, though it
generated such huge amounts of publicity that the rocket was pressured to take off
prematurely. Unfortunately, the majestic spacecraft rose only a few feet before
exploding into silver shards of humiliation. Politics not only unwisely ordained
Vanguard to be the selected rocket, but had also played a role in its hasty launch. No
matter, however, since the Russians had already beaten the Americans into space
with a tiny satellite named Sputnik (Russian for traveler ) earlier that year.
Every ninety six minutes, Sputnik completed one orbit around Earth, all the while
helping Russia achieve a degree of publicity far greater than Khrushchev s highest
expectation and America s greatest fear. US citizens everywhere were dumbfounded,
despite the fact that the Russians, since 1953, had expressed hopes of launching an
Earth orbiting satellite sometime in the near future (Gatland 25 28). Americans
simply did not want to believe that a backwards and technologically undeveloped
nation had a remote chance of besting the technological superpower of the world.
Khrushchev, recognizing the propaganda value of space exploitation, then had
Korolev deploy Sputnik 2 several weeks later. Much like the original Sputnik, the
new satellite differed in only one aspect; it carried a living
The End Of Remembering, And Paulo Freire
Do you consider yourself to have a great memory or do you consider yourself to have
a bad memory? Can you remember more than four phone numbers and more than
three immediate family members birthdays without using any technology? If you
cannot answer those simple questions than maybe you should reconsider on working
on your memorization side of your brain. Joshua Foer, the author of The End of
Remembering, and Paulo Freire, author of The Banking Concept of Education, both
write about how important memoryis in the world today. In Foer s passage he states
that before paper, books, and modern technology people were expected to
remember any piece of information that was given to them. Now people rely on
anything that could record information so they would not have to remember it or
worry about forgetting. He believes that technology is running our memory.
However in Freire s passage he states that memorizing decontextualizes and is
unrelated to present conditions, but memory can concrete conditions of our daily
lives. The importance of memory and its functions in the world today is that it lets
a person find self identity, prevents shallow base of knowledge, and sets values.
Memory provides a sense of personal identity. Memories that were made from the
past create the person that they have become today. It helps to ground judgments and
with reasoning. As an illustration, one day a young girl was shopping at the mall
with a group of friends and they deiced to steal a cute
The Fun They Had By Issac Asimov
The story The Fun They Had, by Issac Asimov relates to Oxford High School in
many different ways. The story talks about a boy finding an actual paper book to
read, instead of reading a book online. This relates to our school because now, in
2017, most of everything we do is online. We do assignments online, take tests
online, and even read online. Margie, the young girl, was confused on why Tommy
would pick out a book on school. She absolute dreaded school, but she had no idea
about any school 66 years ago. She learned that kids actually came to a building, sat
in a class with other people, and had an actual human teacher. This applies to OHS
because we come to a building, have class with other people, and have an actual
teacher. OHS is
Analysis Of The Epic Of Gilgamesh Essay
The Epic of Gilgamesh is a very popular epic that is difficult to understand at first,
which is why their is different translations of the same book. Although Foster and
Sander s translations have a lot of similar words and the stories are basically the
same, there are also a lot of differences between the two. One of which is more
straightforward and easier to understand, whereas the other is more of an in depth
thoughtful read for the reader. Both translations differences have their own
particular reasons for doing so, and add to the depiction of the story. I feel like the
translation in the Anthology is a more complex read, whereas Sander s translation
is much easier to understand. Each translation of the flood is very much different.
In the Anthology, it is not as straightforward about the flood happening. Upon you
he shall shower down in abundance, he shall pour upon you a harvest of riches
(Foster, 144) , where one would have to read more to realize there is a flood about
to happen, whereas in N.K. Sanders translation, it deliberately states So the gods
agree to exterminate mankind (Sanders, 20) , which is more blunt about the
extermination of mankind or the flood. The Anthology hints toward it by using
words such as: pour, shower, and harvest, but it is not as deliberately obvious as
Sanders translation. Also in the Epic where it talks about the building of the boat,
Sanders version says Tear down your house, I say, and build a boat , which obviously
tells
Chaos In The Tempest
Everyone has chaos going through their life sometimes, but in the end it all comes
back to order. In the play The tempest written by William shakesphere, tells about a
storm that became very violent which made the shipwreck; therefore, it started chaos.
After the shipwreck no one knows where anybody is until Calibanfinds Stephano.
Then he follows him because he thinks he is a god. Ferdinand meets Miranda and
they both fall in love with each other, and they plan on getting married. Alonzo and
Gonzalo believe that they are in a deserted island. While all this is going on
prospero knows that everyone is alive. In the play shake spree uses setting to
dimonstrate the ideas of chaos to order
In the play the tempest ,Shakespeare uses the setting to illustrate the way that
people are able to overcome the various obstacles that they face during their lives.
Caliban becomes Stephano s slave instead of being prospero slave (3,2).the
reading being is because Caliban thinks stephano is a king because he has gave him
liquor so he thrn worships him. This falls back on life because anyone in this world

Prospero stands on the shore of island, having just witnessed the shipwreck (1,2).
So therefore he is seeing what is going on he actually caused it. Miranda also

The City Of New Orleans
Reactions The city is dead. Without a single person out in the street, and without the
bright summer sunshine that wakes people up for another Monday morning. The
city was completely gone; the city that used to burst with people and streets that
were filled with energy is now empty but filled with filthy water. It was August 29,
2005, when the hurricane entered the warm water of the Gulf and grew to be a
monstrous storm. So monstrous, that it destroyed anything in its path. The hurricane
that we now call Katrina had swept away the entire city of New Orleans. Many
people lost family members and the storm caused an abundance of property damage.
It was reported that the hurricane killed about 1,800. The number of damages totaled
$108 billion dollars. Just imagine seeing your neighbor, your family members, your
loved one and even yourself suffering to survive in the water that swipes away so
many of your memories and what you valued. What would you have done the day
before the hurricane knowing that it will hit the city? This also questions the

An Unexpected Turn
An Unexpected Turn I woke up to a ray of sun shining through my bedroom
window, birds chirping and the harmony of silence. I slipped out of my warm
blankets, stretched out and yawned a big yawn then went to my bathroom looked
into my green foggy eyes and tried to clean them by splashing cold fresh water
across my half awake face. I grabbed my toothbrush laid some toothpaste on their

pajamas into a gray t shirt and some jeans and a pair of gray vans. I skipped every
other stair and tip toed into the kitchen where my mom was already done making
pancakes and scrambled eggs. She asked me Did you get Cecilio and Arturito up
yet? I answered No not yet. She turned around and gave me that look that every
mom gives their child when they know they did or said something wrong. I made
myself scarce and went up to my brothers room. I shook them senseless, yelled as if
I was mom, tickled them, and yet they still wouldn t get up. I didn t know what
else to do, so I walked out of their room and as I slowly closed their door my light
bulb turned on. I went back and peeked my head through the door and teased Mom
made pancakes and if you don t get up right now you are not going to get any.
Walking out I could hear them rolling out of their beds and hit the cold hardwood
floor. Their hunger grew as they washed their little faces, brushed their teeth, and
combed their thin brunette hair. They came down in
Literary Analysis Of Revenge In The Veldt By Ray
Bradbury
The short story the Veldt by Ray Bradbury reveals that revenge is the key to most
people s problems if there isn t a solution. Early in the story we learn that the
children have an issue with their father closing the nursery. The author uses
characterization as the literary element in the story to show how the character
develops. George, the father of Peter and Wendy is giving Peter recognition and
explaining how he is highly intelligent. While George takes pride in his son, he
doesn t realize that soon his son will turn on him. George says He s a wise one for
ten. That I.Q. of his (5) Bradbury uses this characterization to explain to the reader
how smart Peter. George explains how his son could fix machinery even though he
is at a very young age. As days pass George realizes that his children s attitude
changes toward him and his wife. His children s attitude became more suspicious and
secretive. We ve given the children everything they ever wanted. Is this our reward
secrecy, disobedience? The author is trying to show the reader the actions that have
happened since George thoughtthat his children were intelligent which was correct
but there intelligence was used against him. The children used their intelligence
during the entrance of George into, the nurseryas he found some of his lost items
such as his wallet as he was thinking what had brought it here, he told his kids about
it but they kept denying everything he said which led the kids convince him. As
George keeps thinking about the moment they had with the kids that was suspicious
which led him to a conclusion that his children might be mentally ill. As the Nursery
was used for the children to release their anger and anxieties, but the scenery of Africa
was so wild that the father thought that the children needed medical attention. The
father s thoughts about the Nursery except that I m beginning to be sorry we bought
that room for the children. If children are neurotic at all, a room like that The author
is trying to make the reader understand the sickness Peter and Wendy are in which
then concludes what the father was thinking of and why he was thinking of giving
medical assistance to his children. The father tells the children that he

If your senior loved one has a chronic illness or disability, they may benefit from
investing in long term care insurance. Medicare and employer based insurance plans

and covers in home care from health aides or caregivers. Because insurance
companies typically will withhold payment for a certain time period after the
insurance is purchased for seniors with pre existing conditions, make sure your
loved one has funds in savings or other sources to cover the care before the insurance

4. Accelerated Death Benefits
Life insurance policies normally aren t paid out until your loved one passes away.
Accelerated death benefits, however, allow your loved one to receive a portion of
their life insurance policy in advance of their death. They can use this money to pay
for in home care. To determine if they can use this benefit, your loved one should talk
to their life insurance broker.

According to the National Council on Aging, there are more than 2,000 programs
from government and private corporations that assist seniors in paying for care.
These range from grants from the Alzheimer s Association to pay for seniors who

Three Skeleton Key Quotes
What if you were told a legend that there were three skeletons, gleaming with
phosphorescent light, dancing over a small rock, screaming. Would you be
longing to go? Answer would be as obvious as is asking if rain is dry. The story
Three Skeleton Key is a horror story about three lighthouse keepers on an isolated
island off the coast of Guiana, the same island as the legend suggests. While they
are there, a horde of ferocious rats suddenly raid the island off of a boat, attacking
the narrator, Le Gleo, and Itchoua. After reading and analyzing the horror fable Three
Skeleton Key, I believe that the overall moral of the story, or meaning, is that one s

while surrounding themselves to the rats. They could have gone about this situation
in many ways, but they chose the correct way, by being determined to live and stay
away from the rats. They could have just given up and given themselves to the rats,
which would have changed the outcome of the story in every fashion. The three men
were also conscious about others lives while keeping themselves alive as well. An
example, is that the men didn t light up the lantern because they were going mad and
had the belief that they were going to die. The narrator, Le Gleo, and Itchoua thought
if they were going to die by dawn why would they light up the lamp, that would only
cost more innocent lives, by attracting others without knowing about the rats. With
their consciousness, they were also conservative, because lighting up the lamp could
cost them all of their lives. The three men went about the unbearable challenge in the
bravest ways, being conscious, conservative, and determined to survive the attack,
which saved most of their lives in the
The Need for Complementary Medicine
Complementary medicine
Background
CAM has been used from time in history and the use of acupuncture together with
the conventional medicine or health care process has been preferred over time as the
easiest and fastest way to lessen pain in an individual. CAM has always been used as
an integrative medicine as well as complementary medicine rather than alternative
medicine by most Americans.
Historically Monks were allowed by Buddha to eat raw flesh and drink raw blood
in case ones ailments were inflicted by ghosts. Modern and alternative medicines
are considered to be just supportive elements in the healing process (Wichit P.
Luechai S., 2002). This serves to show how ancient the practice of Cam has come,
and the use of marijuana, as will be the centre of focus in our case, is one of the
central CAM used and has had a long history just like those mentioned above.
There are several Americans who use the complementary and alternative medicine
(CAM) with a hope of having full health and total well being. In the National Health
Interview survey (NHIS) that was conducted in 2007, there was particular emphasis
placed on CAM as used by most Americans and the result were that on estimation,
38% of the adults in America use CAM (National Center for Complementary and
Alternative Medicine, 2011).
Having a single definition of CAM has over the years been a difficult task since the
alternatives have been varying from time to time with more and more ingredients to

The Birth of the League of Nations
The Great War, now commonly referred to as World War One, ended on November
11th, 1918. In its wake lied a tremendously devastated Europe, which was where the
majority of the carnage took place. Following World War One, Europeans were
struggling to restore some sense of normalcy for themselves and their families. To
do that, maintaining peace was imperative. Europe s economy was in shambles, their
land was left greatly damaged and citizens were emotionally scarred from the
abundant fatality of the war. Thousands of European soldiers died and left behind
families who were mourning while trying to overcome the widespread poverty that
remained in the wake of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though they understood that countries needed to have some artillery on hand in
case of emergency, they recognized the fine line between self defense and
militarization and how it needed to be treated carefully. It was clear that Europe s
sense of security was fragile and any actions that could be interpreted as aggression
would be taken seriously. The language of Article 11 of the Covenant of the League
of Nations emphasized just how serious threats to international peace, particularly
European peace, will be taken. And the tone echoed the fear and uncertainty that most
Europeans had. Although former President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson
may of intended for the League of Nations to be an international body whose purpose
was to afford mutual guarantees of political independence and territorial integrity for
its members, it was no such thing. Instead, it was an insurance policy whose
signatories motivation for joining was fear, not to cooperate and foster
interdependence.
Many times when covering the creation of the League of Nations, history books make
the mistake of romanticizing the reality that brought forth this organization. In
actuality, European countries were not thinking about how they can create new
partnerships and solidify their old ones at the end of WWI. European leaders were
not thinking of how to protect the political independence of sovereign nations. They
were terrified and

Anisotropic compressive response of Stone Thrower Wales defects in graphene: A

ABSTRACT:
The mechanical properties of graphene sheet can be tailored with the help of
topological defects. In this research article, the effects of Stone Thrower Wales
(STW) defects on the mechanical properties of graphene sheet was investigated with
the help of molecular dynamics (MD) based simulations. Authors has made an
attempt to analyse the stress field developed in and around the vicinity of defect due
to bond reorientation and further systematic evaluation has been carried out to study
the effect of these stress fields against the applied axial compressive load. The results
obtained with the pristine graphene were made to compare with the available open
literature and the results were reported to be in good agreement with theoretical and
experimental data. It was predicted that graphene with STW defect cannot able to
bear compressive strength in zigzag direction, whereas on the other hand it was
predicted that graphene sheet containing STW defect can bear higher compressive
load in armchair direction, which shows an anisotropic response of STW defects in
graphene. From the obtained results it can be observed that orientation of STW
defects and the loading direction plays an important role to alter the strength of
Anzac Day Research Paper
Anzac day is celebrated on the 25th of April which marks the day when Anzac
soldiers landed at Gallipoli, ANZAC Cove in 1915. It is important to celebrate as
it shows a sign of respect for the people who put their lives at great risk to fight for
freedom in our country. Anzac stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps. It
is an important and relevant day in modern society as we would not be living with
the freedom we have now without the bravery of those Anzac soldiers 103 years
ago. Therefore it is fair that we pay our respects on this date to celebrate the lives of
the soldiers who fought for our countries freedom in the war at Gallipoli.

supports Anzac day and believes it is a respectful way to recognize the Anzacs who
fought for our country. On April 25 each year, we gather across Australiaand around
the world to honour the first Anzacs and those who have followed their proud
example by serving our country in times of conflict, Mr Howard said. Anzac day
also recognizes the current soldiers who are training in case of another war. It
shows that we think about the sacrifices they are making and how much we respect
and honor their bravery. On the 25th of April, many dawn services around Australia
are held to acknowledge and remember the soldiers. Ben Haige 28, was at a dawn

As well as Anzac day being an important day to celebrate, there are reasons why it

cultures or the families who lost relatives in the war. Some people think it shouldn t

inhumane conditions at the mental hospital he was confined too, when he was
captured he was sent to the Walpole State Prison where six years later he was found

were committed there was no such thing as DNA technology, and there were some

desperately want the attention of others by any means necessary stemming from the

Catherine De Medici The Main Cause Of The Saint...
Was Catherine de Medici the main cause of The Saint Bartholomew s Massacre?
Catherine was an Italian woman who married a French King, Henry II. They had
ten children of which three were boys: Francis II, Charles IX and Henry III would
later rule as king. Catherine enjoyed her role as Queen and mother and had no
involvement with the King s affairs. It wasn t until after the King s death that she
made her presence known. There are a few reason s why The Saint Bartholomew s
Day Massacre occurred. Could it have began with the Huguenots assuming the
Spanish were planning to destroy them, and decided to attack first. Catherine may
not have had any intention on starting the second war against the Huguenots but her
being in the right place with the wrong person did. It was only because of
Catherine s visit to her daughter Queen Elizabeth of Spain while in the presence of a
catholic and military leader, Duke of Alba, did the Huguenots leaders think the
Spanish were plotting an attack against them. The Huguenots attempted and failed to
kidnap King Charles IX, which proved to be a bad decision that started the second
war. This action caused Catherine, as Regent to Charles IX, to drop her policy of
tolerating the Huguenots and siding with the Catholics. She issued an edict

ministers to leave the country (History).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Epipen Case Study
Corporations around the globe are robbing consumers of money, and there is nothing
they can do to stand against it. The main goal of each corporation is to squeeze
every last cent out of their consumers pockets and monopolized markets allow this to
happen. In the case of the EpiPen, this is exactly what is occurring. Mylan, the
company that both produces and markets the EpiPen, has drastically increased the
priceof their drug in recent years. Because this drug is essential for the safety of
allergy sufferers, consumers are forced to pay whatever price they see on an EpiPen.
This isn t right for a necessity that millions of people use. The recent increase in the
costof an EpiPen has jeopardized the health of many Americans who can no longer

The usage of an EpiPen is very crucial when someone goes into anaphylactic shock.

Wonder Woman s strong feminine role. However, she breaks free of the constraints
of social norms that allow her to become even stronger. She is more than a pretty

a symbol of female power with inspiring empowerment despite critiques that her
image is permeated with bondage and sexualization.
Wonder Woman provides girls with a symbol of female strength and power. Comics
are narrative image driven stories, not literal, thus allowing for various interpretations.
They are rich with symbolism, color, and emotion that creates the rich stories of these
heroes (Spieldenner 238). What symbolic representation does Wonder Woman have?
Batman s image is reducible to a bat symbol; (Spieldenner 238) then reducing
Wonder Woman into a single symbol it would be a woman. Over the years, she has
changed costumes, colors, and origins thought storylines meanwhile always being
a female representation (Yonkey Spieldenner 238 Cocca 98 101). The one thing
that Wonder Woman is known for is female representation. However, there are
critiques that Wonder Woman may not provide a role model for all girls because she
does not always represent girls of color. PГ©rez s Wonder Woman was more racially
diverse as were the Amazons (Cocca 98). However, Wonder Woman is often
remembered as a white female which may lie in the Greek myths of the Amazons.
Greek myths depict Amazon women as white (Mayor 118). This is an explanation to
the possible invasive representation of a white Wonder Woman. There are more
issues to fair representations, however, they are beyond the scope of this paper.
Comic characters are not just their images, but also in their actions (Spieldenner 238)

Essay On The Lady Or The Tiger
In the story The Lady or The Tiger a princess is forced to watch her lover choose
his destiny. The king is described as semi barbaric because he shows compassion
towards the accused. He allows them to choose their own fate by letting them pick a

realize that in life you will have to make difficult decisions. It occurs to her that
she loved this man so dearly and to watch him die is something she would have to
live with for the rest of her life. If you love something set it free and if it s meant to
be it will always come back is a phrase we all here in life. No matter what type of
nature we hold at our core in the end we are all human who have compassion and
watching someone we love die is unfathomable. We would rather put a loved one

Descriptive Essay On Halloween
My perfect Halloween would be a night of just chilling and watching a marathon of
halloween movies and eating sweets. the party s I would have will at mossy have 2 5
close friends and we would probably just play video games if there is more than 3
people there. But costume wise if I did go outside and walk around with my dogs I
think I would just put on a onesie and show off my dressed up pups. If I did buy candy
I would just get an assortment of different kinds. But let s go into more detail about
these three ideal halloween must haves.
A perfect party for someone like me contains just a few friends or just even one
close one just chilling on a bean bag watching scary movies for hours on end wile
eating our favorite halloween snacks. But most importantly you need people that
will just sit and talk because who dosent like to talk about scary stories or ghost
encounters. Like friends that commit to watching scary movies with you are real
friends because they show you their scared side unless there are stone and barely
have any fears at all. Halloween parties are fun with a lot of people but with a few
close people you can do so much more activities big crowds could t do. for instance
hide and seek in a small house, video games that can only handle two players at a
time, and the price of just enough pizza for 2 or 3 compared to 15 or 20 is a big
difference.
If i got bored of that a perfect halloween costume would be a shark onesie and my dog
on a leash and wearing a fish
Shortage Of Nurses And Healthcare Workers
I believe that there is a shortage of nurses in the United States and in other counties
throughout the world. There is a big shortage of nurses and healthcare workers in
the nursing home where I worked at. To solve the problem of the nursing shortage,
management hired travel nurses to come into the facility to work. I think travel
nurses can be helpful in some ways and hurtful in other ways. Staff at the nursing
home gave the travel nurses a hard time because they were getting paid more money
for the same job. Another problem with the travel nurses was that they rarely showed
up to work and called off often. I think that one way to keep travel nurses from
calling off or not showing up is to have them sign a contract. Although, most traveling
nurses sign a contract, my facility did not have signed contract nurses come in.
I am currently a travel nurse and I had to sign a six month contract and will be
penalized if I don t complete it. There is also a nursing shortage at the current job that
I am contracted through, even though they contract nurses from several different
agencies. The facility is currently adding 50 more patient beds, which will make the
shortage even worse. I think the health care field is getting more patients that are
more difficult to take care of, which causes more staff to be needed. I think the
nursing shortage is only going to get worse because the baby boomer generation is
starting to age and will require more nursing care.

For the DGA Migration: Looked at the Pilot spreadsheet. Tracy: we are working on
getting all of these people the latest RightFax Client. This was on hold due to the
package changes. Now tested and good. Began rolling out the remaining Monlife

Tampa is home to many great historical landmarks and architecture, with a rich
diverse culture one is bound to find something new around each block. Ybor City
being the small city that it is home to almost 1,000 historical buildings, some have
been well kept and some have been left to decay. The history you can see in each
building is astounding and it is like taking a step into a Latin melting pot of sorts.
Many people may feel this area of Tampa should be destroyed and built anew,
however there is much to see and do in Ybor and without it a vital part of one of the

staples from the Colonial Spanish Revival time period such as the steps that lead

As you step through each room they seem to grow with the high archways that lead

The Dollie Dwelling
I balanced carefully atop the chair as I rattled through a menagerie of bottles and
gift bags. Unexpectedly, as I pushed a bottle out of my way, I could hear distinct
sounds coming from it. I pulled the bottle out of the closet to investigate. What I
saw inside the bottle was astounding. There were tiny, doll sized people inside a
doll sized bottle house! Very gently, I took the bottle and placed it on a nearby
table. Amazingly, the people inside the house didn t pay any attention to me. They
talked in tiny voices, too quiet for me to understand. I was too eager to think. Hi
guys!! Nice place! I whispered at the bottle. Needless to say, the tiny people were
startled. Vivienne! Coxey! Come quick! There s a...monster outside! I heard one of
the tiny dolls shout. Two dainty girls entered the room from a ladder. All the people,
there were four of them, turned to face me. One of them, with wavy black hairand a
frilly red dress, spoke up. Who are you?! And what do you want here? I ll have you
know that I am Mistral Papillon, world renowned explorer, she said, in a striking,
cold manner. I looked at them and smiled lightly. Um... sorry to disturb you? You
were just in my closet in a bottle. I hate to break it to you, but you re just tiny little
dolls in a tiny little house in a bottle, I told Mistral Papillon calmly. The dolls were
taken aback by this. They looked at one another, speaking in whispers. We never

I was born in 1981, the starting period of China s economy reform designed and
implemented under the leadership of Mr. De Xiaoping. I have witnessed the
dramatic changes in the continuous infrastructure construction, observable
improvement of living standards, greater enrichment of social life, gradual
deregulation of policies and strong growth of local economy. All the positive sides
make everybody fond of the market economy, especially my parents, both of who
are managers of property development companies. My parents have great influence
on me, so when I was young, I start to learn how to keep abreast of the modern
society by learning the new knowledge and skills.
The world is already heading toward the new economy, although there are still some
turmoil in certain fields and period. The explosive information technology changed
the world in such quick and significant manners that many economists can t explain
well. Meanwhile, China is joining WTO, the economy at this moment is growing at
8% annually, by further eliminating non tariff barriers and reduce tariff rates, China s
market will experience huge structural changes and countless opportunities will
emerge to make China the hottest spot in the world economy. As a Chinese student, I

The Use of Deconstruction in Public Policy Formation
Deconstruction is a poststructural theory that has been applied with good results to
such areas as Anthropology, Architecture, Critical Legal Studies, Graphic Design,
and Literary Criticism. Our purpose is to introduce it into the practice of consulting
in general, and public policy formation in particular. Several features of the recent
work of Jacques Derrida(the Philosopher responsible for deconstruction) are relevant
to our design of a Problem Tour.
Problem
A deconstructive approach to problem solving puts in question the concept of
problem and the notion of solution.

A tension between problem and aporia is produced by refusing the dialectical,
analytical loosening of the bonds of contradiction, and instead intensifying and
multiplying them. Method is the passage, way, or path (odos, methodos, Weg) from
problem to solution. Instead, the point is to experience the difficulty itself as such.
The question of knowing what it means to experience the aporia, indeed to put into
operation the aporia, remains. It is not necessarily a failure or a simple paralysis,
but sterile negativity of the impasse. It is neither stopping at it nor overcoming it.
(When someone suggests to you a solution for escaping an impasse, you can be
almost sure that he is ceasing to understand, assuming that he had understood
anything up to that point. Let us ask: what takes place, what comes to pass with the
aporia? Is it possible to undergo or to experience the aporia, the aporia as such? Is it
then a question of the aporia as such? Of a scandal arising to suspend a certain
viability? Does one then pass through this aporia? Or is one immobilized before the
threshold, to the point of having to turn around and seek out another way, the way

Tattoos and Body Piercings
Tattoos and Body Piercings Throughout time body piercings and tattoos have
become a very common trend in today s society. Body art including both piercings
and tattoos have been around for many years, it used to be a way of communicating
through each other but it has now become more of a fashion trend especially among
today s youth. Not only do tattoos and piercings have their own type of fashion but
they can also represent many things such as religious traits. Many people ignore the
dangers that can come along with tattoos and body piercings, things such as HIVand
hepatitis are easily spread through the needles used for these forms of Body Art.
Tattoos used to be a trend among the ancient Egyptians as a type of ritual marking.
Many women were tattooed among their body with lines and dots. Sharp bone and
clay is believed to be the tools used to engrave the woman with these tattoos.
During this time period many slaves were also tattooed as a symbol of who they
were. Tattoos of the Egyptian World. Many people have different religions,
traditions, and are raised in different cultures. Different body piercings as well as
tattoos can show peoples different religious beliefs, views, and represent what culture
or religion they are a part of. Some different religions forbid tattoos as they are
natural. Buddhism is an example of a religion where tattoos are promoted. In the
Buddhist religion tattoos represent keeping the strength in a time of crisis.

The Bible and The Koran
A Comparative Analysis Christianity and Islam have several similar aspects. Both
religions praise the same God, although they each have a different given name.
Muslims refer to their god as Allah, and Christians simply refer to their god as God.
Both religions are monotheistic, and both even have a set of religious laws that all
who are righteous abide by. Muslims follow the Five Pillars of Islam, while Christians
follow the Ten Commandments. Both religions even have their own religious texts:
The Bible and The Koran. Christian missionaries declare that The Bible consists of

Contrary to The Koran, although he was a man who walked with God, Noah was
not a prophet. In The Koran, Noah s sons were unbelievers, but The Bible
portrayed them differently. In fact, all three of Noah s sons entered the ark along
with their wives. It was they, along with Noah and his wife, who Christians claim
replenished the earth after the flood. It is hard to believe that only eight people
could replenish the entire earth. Another distinct difference between the stories of
Noah in The Bible in and in The Koran is that the Bible speaks of the mixing of
races that took place between the sons of God, and the daughters of man. This was
supposedly a very important factor that led to the flood. The Koran, on the other
hand, never mentions anything about race mixing, and according to the creator of
The Bile of The Koran, Savasan Yurtsever, there was no
Culver 4 race mixing at all. In fact, the only reason the flood took place was to
punish those who ignored Noah s prophecy.
Lastly, Noah s curse is explained in complete detail in the Bile. The Koran,
however, says nothing about any such curse. It is also a claim in The Bible that the
Mountains of Ararat as the resting site of Noah s ark. Conversely, Al Judi is where
Noah s ark can be found according to The Koran. In short, the Prophet Noah was
given commandments by God just as the Prophet Muhammad was after him.
Christians argue that the reason for similarities between the two stories is because

Martin Luther King I Have A Dream Analysis Essay

  • 1. Martin Luther King I Have A Dream Analysis Essay Crafting an essay on the analysis of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech can be a challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a profound understanding of King's powerful rhetoric and the historical context surrounding the Civil Rights Movement but also in the responsibility to convey the significance of his words accurately. Analyzing the speech requires a meticulous examination of King's use of language, rhetorical devices, and the emotional impact on the audience. It demands a deep dive into the socio- political landscape of the 1960s, comprehending the struggles and injustices that fueled King's call for equality and justice. Moreover, synthesizing one's insights into a cohesive essay involves careful organization and coherence. One must articulate a clear thesis, provide insightful analysis, and support arguments with relevant evidence from the speech. Crafting a nuanced and original perspective on such a well-known and impactful piece of oratory is no small feat. In addition, expressing one's thoughts in a way that captivates readers and does justice to the gravity of King's message adds another layer of complexity. • 4. Using Benghazi to Study Politicical and Ethical Issues Essay On September 11th, 2012, the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked. During the attack, around 150 men killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and another diplomat. A few hours later, the CIA annex was attacked and two more were killed. At the start of the attack, news had reached the United States. Later that night and into the morning, Leon Panetta, Secretary of Defense at the time, was informed. When the president was informed, however is not known. The question of who was responsible came up quickly. When asked, White House officials, including Hillary Clinton, responded that the attackwas spurred on by an anti Muslim video on YouTube. The owner of the video was taken into custody. However, the truthfulness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These pleas were not answered, going against political norm. When the question of who decided to blame the video came up, it was circumvented repeatedly. This brings up the idea of what should be a norm. Ethically, a greater transparency would be preferred to the murky glass the government sometimes gives the public to see them through. However one looks at it, the Benghazi attack illustrates political norms that were not heeded, and the consequences, as of today, have not been fully realized. The second component of political science is the component that consists of empirical data. This is the real information behind a situation. It includes the causes of events and patterns of public action as well as many other aspects of empirical data. We use our observational powers and reason, along with many other tools, to investigate significant problems, including the Benghazi attack. When data is collected, it is used to test hypotheses and help predict what will happen when similar factors meet. In this component we would ask, Who pushed the video? . A political scientist would look for evidence supporting a hypothesis related to this question. He or she would collect data from people involved in the response to the attack and then present his or her evidence. A more general question that would be represented in this component of political science is the question of why exactly the

As with our student population, we at the Northwestern Academy believe our teachers and faculty should be as talented as possible. This is the reason that qualifications are the primary consideration when considering potential applicants for our faculty. Race, religion, sex and gender will not be factors in who is hired. However, diversity not only brings advantages in terms of educational benefits, but it also can spur a sense of creativity in the minds of our students and faculty. Because of this, we will provide clear information to our all of our candidates over a broad range of mediums to find many different types of candidates. Even though a portion of our professors come from Northwestern University, some will come from outside of the Northwestern system, and we require these candidates to be just as qualified as the ones that come from within the Northwestern system. A point of differentiation between Northwestern Academy and other schools is that our professor turnover rate is slightly higher than the industry average (due to professors advancing in the world of academia). This will lead to a constantly changing faculty. The interviewprocess will be the same for all applicants, and will thus help us make decisions primarily based on an applicant s qualifications, and help us maintain a talent standard in terms of faculty. • 7. Personal Finance Unit 2 Term Paper Q2 There is a high positive correlation between the interest rate of housing mortgage loan and the government s long term guarantee interest rate. Mortgage institutions offering fixed rate mortgages may be adversely affected by rising interest rates, because their mortgage financing costs will increase, while mortgage interest income will remain unchanged. Lenders can reduce interest rate risk by offering adjustable rate mortgages, so mortgage income may vary with changes in financing costs as interest rates change. Q3 Adjustable rate mortgages usually offer lower initial interest rates than fixed rate mortgages to compensate borrowers for taking interest rate risks. The ceiling of adjustable rate mortgages limits the extent to which interest rates shift from interest rates to mortgages. If the interest rate is beyond the implicit range of the ceiling, the mortgage rate will not be fully adjusted to the market interest rate. Therefore, if interest rates rise substantially, mortgage rates may not fully offset the increased cost of capital. Q16 The effect of interest rate and risk premium on mortgage price. He is a writer and filmmaker also known for his other famous books like The Knights Templar, Alchemy and alchemists, the Gnostics. His films include Lanterna Magicka: Bill Douglas the secret history of cinema. The most alluring thing which conceives me to cull this book is a history of the disease, as a medical professional, it s always tantalizing to know from where all these begins and this book reaches up to my expectations as it started from the first ever recorded disease in the history of mankind. He isn t lying when he say this a history of the disease. He starts from the earliest bacteria to evolve on the earth, long before there was anything around to infect. • 9. Pol Pot And The Cambodian Genocide Genocide has been used in many different countries, trying to kill a specific race or types of people. There are some popular genocides that get talked about a lot like the holocaust, but other genocides like the Cambodian genocide are rarely talked about in the US because the US indirectly helped the Cambodian Genocide with its bombings of Cambodia. The Cambodian genocide was a huge tragedy that took place after the US bombed parts of Cambodia to help Vietnam. After the bombing the Khmer Rouge, along with its leader Pol Pot, started to take over Cambodia and changed people s lifestyles. Many people believed Pol Pot s motivating desire was because of his communist ideology, but that was false. Due to Pol Pot s opportunist nature and the use of the communist title, he was able to gain power and kill many Cambodians who had conformed to western influence because he wanted to create the ideal society for himself. In order for Pol Pot to create his own society, he needed to surround himself with people and buildings that were not influenced by western culture. They are a type of living organism that has no roots, leaves, flowers or seeds. Mushrooms are actually fungi and in many countries, that is what they are called. There are countless varieties of Mushrooms that are edible and there are probably just as many or more that are not edible. The mushrooms that are not edible can be poisonous and can cause severe illness or worse, death. For that reason, wild mushrooms should not be picked by anyone other than a trained mycologist. Mushrooms can be purchased dried, canned or fresh. For a long time, even though there are over 590 species of Mushrooms found growing in California, the only Mushrooms readily available in the United States for consumption were Brown Mushrooms and White Mushrooms. Photos of some of the California Mushrooms can be found on Myko Web, a site that specializes in California Mushrooms. • 11. The President Of Bartavia s Fiscal Policy With The... The President of Bartavia wants to enact expansionary fiscal policy with the intention of manipulating inflation and unemployment. Although Bartavia is nearly employing all of its resources in production and extremely close to full employment level, the President is still concerned about the small percentage that is unemployed. Unemployment is the state of a person without a job or a reliable salary or income. Inflationand unemployment are characteristics that are closely monitored to indicate the economic performance of a country. As the economic advisor to the president, I would strongly advise against implementing this policy. Currently, the economy is not in a recession making the trade offs associated with economic expansion counter intuitive. In addition, the Phillips Curve demonstrates the inverse relationship between inflation and unemployment, making the need for expansionary action unnecessary right now. Finally, Okun s Law shows how this policy would effect Bartavia s GDP via the sacrifice ratio. These three reasons show that the long run consequences outweigh the short run benefits of expansionary fiscal policy. Therefore, I implore the President to avoid implementing the expansionary policy. First of all, expansionary fiscal policy is passed to expand the money supply of an economy to encourage economic prosperity, growth, and combat inflation. Inflation is described as the overall increase of prices in an economy or country. There are several ways an

We also ran into some opportunities for tax planning for Jack. This memo outlines those assumptions, questions, and opportunities. The following is a list of assumptions broken down by IRS Form or Schedule: Schedule C Part I For Line 1 our group made the assumption that the $2,912,909 amount Jack listed in the client questionnaire included the $11,616 credit he gave his customers from interest earned on deposits held in escrow. On the form we reported the last day of the year as this would be the most conservative estimate for the holding period for short term vs. long term. Since 2001 was several years ago this doesn t impact the holding period for the stock. It is long term. We also assumed that the stock value was $39.21/share. The price needed would actually be the closing price on the date of death of Jack s relative. Benefits to state budgets The largest area of state spending is in education. Inside this budget, schools must provide funding for transportation, food, resources in the classroom for all students, and salaries to all employees. Throughout watching this video, the main benefit I could see from state s financing schools are the ability to always have a check and balance to determine if funds are being spent correctly. When I first began teaching, the principal at the time was known to spend money when it was not needed. When she first took over, she spent $16,000 on murals to make our school look pretty, even though we had a major leak in the ceiling. After 3 years of not meeting AYP the state examined the funds that were spent, and the principal was not reassigned the following year. Downside to state budgets To begin with, the most interesting information I learned was how in the near future we will be have to take funds away from the young to help take care of the health care cost of the elderly. If education funds are to be cut in half, the effects will be felt throughout society. What will have to be cut

  • 18. Thoreau Rhetorical Analysis In Thoreau s speech From Resistance to Civil Government, the most famous sentence might be: If one HONEST man, in this State of Massachusetts, ceasing to hold slaves, were actually to withdraw from this co partnership, and be locked up in the country jail, therefor, it would be the abolition of slavery in America. Well, if I were to standing by him at that moment, there is one question I want to ask him: you, as the one HONEST man, has visited the jail already, then are you still giving this speech? Why hasn t slaverybe abolished by now? Therefore, we can see that although Thoreau advocates for the power of individual changes, he knows it is going to take collective effort for any significant changes to happen. Everyone knows, including him, that one person s withdraw of support from the governmentcan never result in abolition; it will take a thousand people. However, Thoreau recognizes that because of this way of thinking, people have been seeing themselves as a dispensable agent. They will never take action if they keep waiting for more people to get on board in the revolution. Thus, to break this death cycle, Thoreau tries to shift people s attention away from believing that majority effort is needed, and instead makes people believe that one single personis all it takes to change everything, even though it was in fact not the case. The first step Thoreau takes to foster people s beliefs of their own power, is to compare government as an machine that has friction . By equating the government as just a machine, Thoreau invites his audience to see government as an artificial invention whose entire existence is to function and serve people s need. Then, Thoreau asserts that when the machine is a little friction , people can ignore it, because it is still in their best interest to keep it running; but when the friction comes to have its machine , we need to repair this machine. Obviously, he think it was the time to take action immediately against slavery and the Mexican war. In order to encourage people to stop paying taxes immediately, he has to eliminate people s fear toward acting against the authority. So Thoreau uses this metaphor as a illusion to debunk the fearsome image of government

Heterosexuality is something that we as a society think of as unchanging, consistent, and universal. Procedure Report For The Surgical Removal Of A Tonsillectomy Ashley Kindle Professor Forbus Public Health 222 Section FD5 7 November 2017 Procedure Report When looking at the different medical procedures, I decided to choose something that I have gone through myself about a year ago which is a tonsillectomy. A tonsillectomy is defined as the surgical removal of the tonsils, two oval shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat one tonsil on each side (Mayo Clinic). This is a procedure that can be suggested for an infection, inflammation, or for sleep disordered breathing. The desired outcome of this procedure is to help stop infections causing sore throats or help a person breathe better. The tonsils are two lymph nodes at the back of the throat, and they are part of the body s defense mechanism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Tonsils are there to help fight off infections by destroying harmful bacteria. When fighting off an infection, the tonsils become inflamed known as tonsillitis. This may be associated with fever, sore throat, painful swallowing, and swelling of the lymph nodes on the neck. When a person first arrives to have this procedure, an IV will be started that had pain medication and sedative mediation in it. General anesthesia will put a person to sleep during while the surgery is being performed. A breathing tube will also be temporally inserted to help the patient with breathing during the surgery. During the procedure, a special tool is used to hold the mouth open and the tongue down (Nucleus Health). This allows for the surgeon to have a full view of the tonsils. Next, tonsil forceps are used to grasp each tonsil as the tonsils are cut away from the surrounding tissue. The tonsils are removed with a snare, a medical tool, and then the bleeding will be stopped with clamps and ties or by an electrocautery. This procedure generally takes an hour to complete. This area can heal naturally without stitches, and it generally takes ten days. After the surgery, the patient will be put in a recovery room while the anesthesia wears off (Nucleus Health). The patient also normally goes home the same day as this is an outpatient

If you cannot answer those simple questions than maybe you should reconsider on working on your memorization side of your brain. Joshua Foer, the author of The End of Remembering, and Paulo Freire, author of The Banking Concept of Education, both write about how important memoryis in the world today. In Foer s passage he states that before paper, books, and modern technology people were expected to remember any piece of information that was given to them. Now people rely on anything that could record information so they would not have to remember it or worry about forgetting. He believes that technology is running our memory. However in Freire s passage he states that memorizing decontextualizes and is unrelated to present conditions, but memory can concrete conditions of our daily lives. The importance of memory and its functions in the world today is that it lets a person find self identity, prevents shallow base of knowledge, and sets values. Although Foster and Sander s translations have a lot of similar words and the stories are basically the same, there are also a lot of differences between the two. One of which is more straightforward and easier to understand, whereas the other is more of an in depth thoughtful read for the reader. Both translations differences have their own particular reasons for doing so, and add to the depiction of the story. I feel like the translation in the Anthology is a more complex read, whereas Sander s translation is much easier to understand. Each translation of the flood is very much different. In the Anthology, it is not as straightforward about the flood happening. Upon you he shall shower down in abundance, he shall pour upon you a harvest of riches (Foster, 144) , where one would have to read more to realize there is a flood about to happen, whereas in N.K. Sanders translation, it deliberately states So the gods agree to exterminate mankind (Sanders, 20) , which is more blunt about the extermination of mankind or the flood. The Anthology hints toward it by using words such as: pour, shower, and harvest, but it is not as deliberately obvious as Sanders translation. Also in the Epic where it talks about the building of the boat, Sanders version says Tear down your house, I say, and build a boat , which obviously tells

The Need for Complementary Medicine Complementary medicine Background CAM has been used from time in history and the use of acupuncture together with the conventional medicine or health care process has been preferred over time as the easiest and fastest way to lessen pain in an individual. CAM has always been used as an integrative medicine as well as complementary medicine rather than alternative medicine by most Americans. Historically Monks were allowed by Buddha to eat raw flesh and drink raw blood in case ones ailments were inflicted by ghosts. Modern and alternative medicines are considered to be just supportive elements in the healing process (Wichit P. Luechai S., 2002). This serves to show how ancient the practice of Cam has come, and the use of marijuana, as will be the centre of focus in our case, is one of the central CAM used and has had a long history just like those mentioned above. There are several Americans who use the complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) with a hope of having full health and total well being. In this research article, the effects of Stone Thrower Wales (STW) defects on the mechanical properties of graphene sheet was investigated with the help of molecular dynamics (MD) based simulations. Authors has made an attempt to analyse the stress field developed in and around the vicinity of defect due to bond reorientation and further systematic evaluation has been carried out to study the effect of these stress fields against the applied axial compressive load. The results obtained with the pristine graphene were made to compare with the available open literature and the results were reported to be in good agreement with theoretical and experimental data. It was predicted that graphene with STW defect cannot able to bear compressive strength in zigzag direction, whereas on the other hand it was predicted that graphene sheet containing STW defect can bear higher compressive load in armchair direction, which shows an anisotropic response of STW defects in graphene. From the obtained results it can be observed that orientation of STW defects and the loading direction plays an important role to alter the strength of

Anzac day also recognizes the current soldiers who are training in case of another war. It shows that we think about the sacrifices they are making and how much we respect and honor their bravery. On the 25th of April, many dawn services around Australia are held to acknowledge and remember the soldiers. Ben Haige 28, was at a dawn service with his friends. It s just a simple thing, everyone else sacrificed a lot back in their day. It s the least we could do, get up early and pay our respects, he said. As well as Anzac day being an important day to celebrate, there are reasons why it shouldn t be recognized and celebrated. Should we celebrate Anzac day and bring memories of soldiers who died which could be hurtful or disrespectful for certain cultures or the families who lost relatives in the war. Some people think it shouldn t be celebrated as it was a point in time

Catherine was an Italian woman who married a French King, Henry II. They had ten children of which three were boys: Francis II, Charles IX and Henry III would later rule as king. Catherine enjoyed her role as Queen and mother and had no involvement with the King s affairs. It wasn t until after the King s death that she made her presence known. There are a few reason s why The Saint Bartholomew s Day Massacre occurred. Could it have began with the Huguenots assuming the Spanish were planning to destroy them, and decided to attack first. Catherine may not have had any intention on starting the second war against the Huguenots but her being in the right place with the wrong person did. It was only because of Catherine s visit to her daughter Queen Elizabeth of Spain while in the presence of a catholic and military leader, Duke of Alba, did the Huguenots leaders think the Spanish were plotting an attack against them. The Huguenots attempted and failed to kidnap King Charles IX, which proved to be a bad decision that started the second war. The main goal of each corporation is to squeeze every last cent out of their consumers pockets and monopolized markets allow this to happen. In the case of the EpiPen, this is exactly what is occurring. Mylan, the company that both produces and markets the EpiPen, has drastically increased the priceof their drug in recent years. Because this drug is essential for the safety of allergy sufferers, consumers are forced to pay whatever price they see on an EpiPen. This isn t right for a necessity that millions of people use. Wonder Woman s manifestation in comic books demonstrates a symbol of a strong woman with her own power. Some worry about the effect that images of bondage may counter Wonder Woman s strong feminine role. However, she breaks free of the constraints of social norms that allow her to become even stronger. She is more than a pretty face and has inspired real world change. Wonder Woman is a role model for girls as a symbol of female power with inspiring empowerment despite critiques that her image is permeated with bondage and sexualization. Wonder Woman provides girls with a symbol of female strength and power. Comics are narrative image driven stories, not literal, thus allowing for various interpretations. They are rich with symbolism, color, and emotion that creates the rich stories of these heroes (Spieldenner 238). What symbolic representation does Wonder Woman have? Batman s image is reducible to a bat symbol; (Spieldenner 238) then reducing Wonder Woman into a single symbol it would be a woman. Over the years, she has changed costumes, colors, and origins thought storylines meanwhile always being a female representation (Yonkey Spieldenner 238 Cocca 98 101). The one thing that Wonder Woman is known for is female representation. However, there are critiques that Wonder Woman may not provide a role model for all girls because she does not always represent girls of color. But costume wise if I did go outside and walk around with my dogs I think I would just put on a onesie and show off my dressed up pups. If I did buy candy I would just get an assortment of different kinds. But let s go into more detail about these three ideal halloween must haves. A perfect party for someone like me contains just a few friends or just even one close one just chilling on a bean bag watching scary movies for hours on end wile eating our favorite halloween snacks. But most importantly you need people that will just sit and talk because who dosent like to talk about scary stories or ghost encounters. Like friends that commit to watching scary movies with you are real friends because they show you their scared side unless there are stone and barely have any fears at all. Halloween parties are fun with a lot of people but with a few close people you can do so much more activities big crowds could t do. for instance hide and seek in a small house, video games that can only handle two players at a time, and the price of just enough pizza for 2 or 3 compared to 15 or 20 is a big difference. If i got bored of that a perfect halloween costume would be a shark onesie and my dog on a leash and wearing a fish

There is a big shortage of nurses and healthcare workers in the nursing home where I worked at. To solve the problem of the nursing shortage, management hired travel nurses to come into the facility to work. I think travel nurses can be helpful in some ways and hurtful in other ways. Staff at the nursing home gave the travel nurses a hard time because they were getting paid more money for the same job. Another problem with the travel nurses was that they rarely showed up to work and called off often. I think that one way to keep travel nurses from calling off or not showing up is to have them sign a contract. Although, most traveling nurses sign a contract, my facility did not have signed contract nurses come in. I am currently a travel nurse and I had to sign a six month contract and will be penalized if I don t complete it. There is also a nursing shortage at the current job that I am contracted through, even though they contract nurses from several different agencies. The facility is currently adding 50 more patient beds, which will make the shortage even worse. I think the health care field is getting more patients that are more difficult to take care of, which causes more staff to be needed. I think the nursing shortage is only going to get worse because the baby boomer generation is starting to age and will require more nursing care.

It is hard to believe that only eight people could replenish the entire earth. Another distinct difference between the stories of Noah in The Bible in and in The Koran is that the Bible speaks of the mixing of races that took place between the sons of God, and the daughters of man.
