2. Disasters can be man-made . Where the cause is
intentional or unintentional .
All kinds of man-made disaster
lead to human suffering ,loss
of life and long term damage
to a nations economy . It is a
phenomenon that can cause
damage to life, property and
destroy the economic, social
and cultural life of people.

4. It is a type of explosion deriving its
force from nuclear reactions of fission
and fusion. It is of two types
fission and fusion .
Eg: of fission are atomic bombs,
A-bombs, fission bombs.
Eg: of fusion bombs are
hydrogen bombs,
H-bombs, fusion bombs etc.

5. Epidemic occurs when a disease
attacks a large no. of people
at one time. It spreads at rapid
rate among human population.
Most of disease are spread
after natural disaster like
tsunami , flood etc.
Eg: sporadic disease, cyclic disease,
Behavior-related diseases, emerging
Infectious disease, Ebola, HIV,AIDS

6. These are referred as poor
mans nuclear bombs as these
are easy to manufacture,
transport and have ability to
kill hundreds and thousands
of people. They are delivered
using dusting airplanes or small
atomizers. They have ability to
generate immediate effects.

7. Disasters that are caused
by the excessive use and misuse
of chemicals in industries are
called chemical disasters. The
irresponsible handling of
powerful chemicals can cause
widespread devastation.
Eg: India's Bhopal gas tragedy,
Fujian in china.

8. Disaster are something that can not be stopped or prevented. But we
can do something before and after disasters to help reduce the
amount of trauma caused by these disasters
Ways to help:
 Donate to organizations that deal with natural disaster relief.
 Volunteer with these organizations.
 Help rebuild cities
 Many organizations that are
based around helping, supporting
and rescuing victims are places
that you can donate to and where
they raise money.
