values of human civilizations.

1. Meaning of Human rights:
Human rights refers to that every human being is
entitled to enjoy freely irrespective of human
religion, race, caste, sex and nationality etc.
Human rights are those rights that are pertain to
legal rights.
2. Meaning of Human Right Education
ā€œa life-long process by which people at all levels of
developments and in all strata of society learn
respect for the dignity of otherā€
What are the basic human rights?
Goals of Human Rights Education
ā€¢ International Human rights documents provide
inspiring goals human right education.
ā€¢ Human rights Education has two essential objectives
i.e., learning about human rights, learning for
human rights.
ā€¢ Acc. To Universal declaration of Human Rights
(UDHR) proclaim that ā€œrecognition of the inherent
dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all
members of the human family is the foundation of
freedom ,justice and peace in the world.ā€

respect, to protect and promote the rights of all
people.
ā€¢ Human rights education engages the heart as well as
the mind.
ā€¢ Human rights education affirms the interdependence
of the human family.
ā€¢ Human rights education helps to develop the
communication skills.

ā€¢ Violence against girls and women is the most common and
overwhelming violation of human rights in the world.
ā€¢ 603 million women are living in societies where violence
against women aka ā€˜domestic violenceā€™ is not still considered a
violation of human rights.
ā€¢ 82% of the countries of the world, i.e. 131 out of 160, violate
human rights on a regular basis.
ā€¢ 58% of the countries of the world, i.e. 93 out of 160, violated
human rights by conducting unfair trials.
ā€¢ Almost 3 out of 4 governments of the world, i.e. 119 out of 160,
restrict the human rights of freedom of expression.

  • 2. Introduction ļ¶Human rights embody the fundamental values of human civilizations. ļ¶Human rights is usually very superficial. ļ¶Some rights are inherited.
  • 3. SOME IMPORTANT DEFINATIONS 1. Meaning of Human rights: Human rights refers to that every human being is entitled to enjoy freely irrespective of human religion, race, caste, sex and nationality etc. Human rights are those rights that are pertain to legal rights. 2. Meaning of Human Right Education ā€œa life-long process by which people at all levels of developments and in all strata of society learn respect for the dignity of otherā€
  • 4. What are the basic human rights?
  • 5. Goals of Human Rights Education ā€¢ International Human rights documents provide inspiring goals human right education. ā€¢ Human rights Education has two essential objectives i.e., learning about human rights, learning for human rights. ā€¢ Acc. To Universal declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) proclaim that ā€œrecognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom ,justice and peace in the world.ā€

Importance of Human rights Education ā€¢ Human rights Education asserts the responsibility to respect, to protect and promote the rights of all people. ā€¢ Human rights education engages the heart as well as the mind. ā€¢ Human rights education affirms the interdependence of the human family. ā€¢ Human rights education helps to develop the communication skills.
  • 7. Aims of Human Right Education ā€¢ Human rights sets standards but also produces changes. ā€¢ Produce changes in values and attitude. ā€¢ Produce changes in behavior. ā€¢ Encourage participatory education. ā€¢ Develop knowledge and analytical skills.
  • 8. Principles of Human Rights ā€¢ Principle 1: Start from reality. ā€¢ Principle 2 : Activity. ā€¢ Principle 3 : Horizontal communication. ā€¢ Principle 4 : Developing the ability to be critical. ā€¢ Principle 5 : Promoting the development and expression of feeling.

Need For Human Rights Education ā€¢ For equality and human dignity. ā€¢ For support to whole educational system. ā€¢ For self respect. ā€¢ For commitment to Peace and justice. ā€¢ To achieve freedom and stability. ā€¢ To develop the feeling of togetherness. ā€¢ For national identity. ā€¢ To be libral
  • 10. Obstacles to Human Rights Education ā€¢ Ignorance. ā€¢ Indifference. ā€¢ Incompetence. ā€¢ Imbalance. ā€¢ Intolerance: self-esteem , improper and inadequate readiness. ā€¢ Impatient ā€¢ Inequality
  • 12. Facts about Human Rights: ā€¢ Violence against girls and women is the most common and overwhelming violation of human rights in the world. ā€¢ 603 million women are living in societies where violence against women aka ā€˜domestic violenceā€™ is not still considered a violation of human rights. ā€¢ 82% of the countries of the world, i.e. 131 out of 160, violate human rights on a regular basis. ā€¢ 58% of the countries of the world, i.e. 93 out of 160, violated human rights by conducting unfair trials. ā€¢ Almost 3 out of 4 governments of the world, i.e. 119 out of 160, restrict the human rights of freedom of expression.
