This paper presents a new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) topology using a z-source inverter, which offers advantages over traditional UPS systems, including single-stage power conversion, reduced voltage distortion, and improved performance under varying battery conditions. The proposed UPS has been validated through simulations and experiments, demonstrating low harmonic distortion and steady-state performance for both resistive and nonlinear loads. The results confirm that the z-source inverter can effectively maintain desired output voltages even during significant voltage drops from the battery bank.
