This document proposes a new zero voltage and zero current switching (ZVZCS) full bridge converter to improve performance over existing converters. The proposed circuit utilizes the leakage inductance of the transformer as a secondary resonance without needing an additional inductor. This allows zero voltage switching for leading switches and zero current switching for lagging switches across the entire operating range. The analysis and design considerations of the proposed converter are presented, including conditions for achieving soft switching of all switches.
