This document provides an introduction to human resource management including definitions, objectives, and the need for HRM. It defines HRM as the management of human resources to accomplish individual, organizational, and social goals. Objectives of HRM include being socially responsible, maintaining organizational effectiveness, contributing to personal goals, and functional goals. The need for HRM is to help organizations develop and grow through maintaining human resources, creating an effective culture, and transforming other resources through human effort and inspiration to achieve extraordinary results.
