MirrorMask is a fantasy/drama film that was released on September 30th, 2005. This movie was very
different from a normal fairy tale. This movie was about a girl named Helena, she worked in a circus
with her Mom and Dad and they barely got by financially. Helena didn t want to work in the circus
anymore, she wanted to be normal like everybody else. Helena is also an incredible artist, her room
was filled with artwork. When she falls asleep one day, she woke up in a magical land that was filled
with her drawings, the kingdom was her drawings. After finding out they need to get the mirrormask
to save the kingdom, she embarks on an adventure to save the kingdom and along the way, she meets a
guy, that accompanies alongside with her. Is it true love? From watching MirrorMask, this movie had
different elements than a regular fairy tale. It didn t have an evil stepmother, an absentee father and
not really a prince charming at the end of the film. I would say, this movie was mostly about growing
up and realizing that even if you don t have much, you should still be grateful for what you have.
Helena was very ungrateful she had two parents that were always there for her, they didn t have a lot
of money, but they had each other and Helena didn t seem to understand that. Throughout the film in a
way she matured and learned a lesson, you don t really learn lessons at the end of fairy tales, you
usually just end up with a new husband. While on a quest to find the mirror mask, she

Moonwalk Paintings
The first painting that caught my attention was Moonwalk made in 1987 by Andy Warhol. This
painting was one of Andy Warhol s final work. There are several versions of this painting, a yellow
version and a pink version. The Yellow version of the Moonwalk painting looks as if the sun is
reflecting off of the astronaut and the flag. The pink version gives a feeling of warmth like some sort
of heat signature is appearing off of the painting itself. The painting gives off a an allusion of a near
three dimensional form with its overlapping of the line and color on the astronaut the flag and the
surface of the moon.
The second painting that attracted my attention at the museum was a painting called Barbe du
Prevaricatuer [The Beard of the Corrupt
