The Causes Of Stress Management
Have you ever experienced stress? Stress is a common phenomenon that people experience in their
daily lives. When facing challenges and hurdles, it is natural to sometimes feel overwhelmed or
unconfident on how to address these new demands. In such circumstances when the people feel too
much pressure, it is said that they experience stress. As students, stress can be experienced while
adjusting to academic demands, while trying to fit into a new environment, or when trying to make or
maintain friendships. Work environments could also be stressful as individuals get overwhelmed while
trying to meet deadlines, work long hours, or adjust to new environment. While everyone experiences
stress, it is not necessarily a harmful thing; it could be a motivating factor. However, very high levels
of stress could be harmful to our physical and emotional wellbeing. This essay will examine stress, its
symptoms, causes, impacts and stress management techniques.
Chapter 1: Stress and its symptoms
The environment that we live in is socially, physically and emotionally challenging. As a result,
people have various mechanisms to address every day difficulties. However, some normal
mechanisms of addressing these challenges fail to work resulting in stress. Stress refers to a situation
whereby environmental demand or pressures exceed the abilities and resources of an individual to
cope with the pressures (Michie, 2002). Such pressures and demands are known as stressors. In most

Benefits of Fleet Management Data Integration
Abstract
Huffman Trucking maintains extensive vehicle fleet maintenance logs, with data on vehicles, parts,
tires, maintenance, warranty, costs and dates of service. Management wants to know whether it would
be strategically advisable to integrate this information into their current data warehouse and how to
leverage it.
Investigation shows that there could be significant benefits in efficiency and cost reduction by this
consolidation and the appropriate analysis techniques. Regression analysis is recommended for this
data mining, to understand the relationships among independent and dependent variables ... Show

Are defective parts returns being handled properly? Too frequent scheduled inspections and
maintenance increase labor costs. Poor scheduling can result in fleet support staff being over or under
utilized. Due to the highly skilled personnel involved, there could be significant costs involved in not
understanding the best use of their time. The vehicle fleet and its operational support is the major cost
driver in this industry. Optimal management is critical.
There has been much written on the different approaches to such data mining as described above.
Much is available from the vendors of data management and analysis software, including some
customized for fleet management. The company could decide to use one of these packages or utilize in
house personnel to report against the new data in the expanded database. (Oracle, Collective Data)
The United States Navy Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement
(SUBMEPP) completed a study in 1962 in which the majority of components analyzed by SUBMEPP
did not demonstrate an age and reliability relationship and consequently, many existing time directed
component overhauls have been deleted from class maintenance plans, eliminating significant costs
and downtime (Allen, 1997). Regression analysis against Huffman s fleet maintenance data could
discover any relationships in scheduled maintenance and failure rates.
Because all data manipulation and analysis have

The Most Hated Family in America Essay examples
The Most Hated Family In America The topic of homosexuality has been a very hot topic over the
past several decades. The term homosexuality can be defined as the sexual desire or behavior towards
a person or persons of one s own sex ( Homosexuality ). There are many people who either agree or
disagree with the aspect of homosexuality, and there are others who are indifferent. Many Christian
churches around the world, especially in the United States, have stated their opinion against
homosexuality. They based their beliefs in the verses in 1st Corinthians 6: 9 10, which says, Or do you
not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the

If one reads this manual, especially how the Baptists base their doctrine, one would see that the
Westboro Baptist Church is wrong in many aspects, to such extent that they should not be called
Baptists. The Westboro Baptist Church s main purpose is to promote hate; hate towards America,
towards the world, and towards anybody who lives in this world and accepts homosexuality, or fags as
they call them, into our society ( God Hates Fags ). They use picketing as a source to express their
opinion is a very hateful way, to the point that it makes any person passing by uncomfortable and even
express their anger towards them. In The Most Hated Family In America film, there are several
instances where one can see the Phelps family discouraging the population by yelling that they are all
going to hell, and that God hates this world for accepting the ways of the world. They don t care if the
person is Christian or not, according to them, the world has no salvation (Theroux). In page 62 of the
Baptist manual, it states that Baptist should believe in justification , because it includes that pardon of
sin (Hiscox). This is clear evidence that the Westboro church does not go by the manual of Baptists.
The most horrifying thing that these people do is to picket at soldier funerals. With a smile on their
faces and joy in their hearts, they stand in a corner shouting,

Canto V Analysis
SUMMARY
Dante and Virgil have just left limbo, the first circle of hell, and are now on their way into the second
circle of hell, where hell really begins. It is here that Dante first witnesses the punishment brought
upon the sinners. They encounter Minos, the beast judge who blocks the way into the second circle.
He examines each soul as they pass through and determines which circle of hell they must go to by
winding his tail around himself. Minos warns Dante of passing through but Virgil silences him. Dante
encounters a dark place completely sucked of any light and filled with noises more horrible than a
tempest and sees the souls being whirled around in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
TONE This Canto describes the first real level of hell. The canto is very poetic and makes use of many
similes, metaphors, and adjectives. There is also no shortage of hyperboles. The canto begins by
describing the qualities of the second circle by describing the voice of the damned rose in a bestial
moan, (v 3) referring to the damned rose as those lovers driven by passion who were condemned for
their acts of adultery.
In verse 25, Dante describes the choir of anguish to be like a wound with a simile. Next, by using a
metaphor, he describes the fate of the adulterous sinners and their punishment as being battered
eternally by the winds and storms of hell, as they were figuratively battered by the winds of passion in
their lives on earth. He describes with a simile how as cranes go over sounding their harsh cry, /
leaving the long streak of their flight in air, / so come spirits, wailing as they fly (v 46 48). Finally, he
makes use of another simile to iterate how after Francesca tells of her tale of love, Dante faints and
falls, as a corpse might fall, to the dead floor of hell (v 140).
IMAGERY This canto begins to delve into the more sublime, dark, and mysterious. Words like,
moaning, screeching, and lamenting give this canto a sad and depressed feeling. Spatially, I can
imagine a dark, black whole type of place that seems like a vacuum. A lot of the words refer to dark
colors and describe the

Aid Disease In Poor Countries
The reading and the lecture are both about AIDs disease, which is causing massive human loss in poor
countries. The author of the reading believes that drug manufacturing companies are taking advantage
of the situation to make more money and present various solutions. The lecturer casts doubt on the
claims made in the article. He thinks that although drug companies sell their products at high prices,
the solutions the reading proposes will not work.
First of all, the author points out that the drugs prices and the drug manufacturers are just concerned
about high profits. It is mentioned that drug prices should be cheaper for the poor countries facing the
pandemic problem. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He says that the drug companies cannot
reduce the price of the drugs. Furthermore, he argues that companies need high profits, as every
business, to keep making more drugs and without this profits the companies would not exist. ... Show

The article notes that if the government buys the drugs for the country the prices will drop for the huge
quantity of products ordered. The lecture rebuts this argument . He suggests that since the countries
are poor the government is also poor. She elaborates on this by mentioning that the government is not
capable of buying all the drugs needed because they do not have the necessary money to do

Bandura and the Bobo Doll Experiment 1961/3 Albert Bandura s aim for this experiment was to do
with how children perceive behaviour and how they may be influenced into recreating it. He wanted to
show that when children witness aggressive behaviour, they would then imitate it when given the
chance. The process began when Bandura selected 36 boys and 36 girls to partake in the event by
observing them in a nursery, and grouping them together based on whether they have similar levels of
aggressiveness in everyday behaviour. For the first part of the experiment, the children were
individually took into a playroom, where the adult present engaged with them in a non aggressive

Nature Of Just War
The concept of just war is built on the assumption that war is bad and should be avoided, but there
also may be times when warfare is justified. Just war theories usually address two main areas: First,
under what conditions is it right to go to war? Second, is there a moral way to conduct a war? As for
the history of just war theories, the ancient Greeks and Romans sometimes discussed the morality of
war. Cicero (106 43 B.C.), for instance, argued that the only acceptable reason for war is self defence
which included the right to defend one s honor. Cicero aside, Saint Augustine of Hippo (A.D. 354 430)
is often viewed as the father of the just war theory. Augustine was against individuals retaliating when
injured, but he believed nations

Nietzsche Vs Kierkegaard
Existentialism is a philosophical theory or approach that emphasizes the existence of the individual
person as a free and responsible agent determining their own development through acts of the will. In
other words existentialism is saying your a free individual and your actions define what you are. Many
people see the the philosopher Jean Paul Sartre as the father of existentialism , but existentialism was
founded in the 1800s by Friedrich Nietzsche, soren kierkegaard. The ideas accredited to Sartre are in
many ways the ideas of Nietzsche and kierkegaard presented in a different way. Those that parctice

In Fyodor Dostoyevskys novel Notes from Undergroud an unamed man is ill with too much
conscious, he is aware of his environment to such an extend that to him there is no rigth or wrong and
he doesn t do anything because when people are faced with all angles to the answer of a question
without having a predetermined sence of rigth and wrong it becomes very difficult to take action. I
could not become anything; neither good nor bad; neither a scoundrel nor an honest man; neither a
hero nor an insect. And now I am eking out my days in my corner, taunting myself with the bitter and
entirely useless consolation that an intelligent man cannot seriously become anything, that only a fool
can become something. Friedrich Nietzsche the true father of existentialism was an extremely lonely
man he thought solitude was needed to beacuse in his mind being around other people would trigger
the herd instinct of morality, according to Nietzsche to become your self you must be by yourself. The
individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you
will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. Nietzsche had a mental break down and died a sad
lonely man trying to find meaning in a meaning less

Central City Emergency Response Paper
Central City previous mayor took the initial steps to adopt the IMS based operations, which is a good
start. The city is vulnerable to various kinds of routine emergencies that can be handled with
confidence. What Central City needs to prepare for are novelties. The wave of hurricanes that hit the
region this fall should be a wakeup call for the city to be ready for all types of crises. The IMS needs
to be the foundation for Central City emergency response. This will require a lot of hard work and
preparation. It s the mayor s responsibility towards the citizens of this city to have an effective
emergency response system that can handle all scales of emergencies to achieve the best results. IMS
provides a comprehensive systematic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To do so, the mayor needs to lead the efforts to overcome cognitive biases between emergency leaders
and stress the fact that this is a collective learning process that requires group effort, inputs and buy in
from all agencies. This important factor will eliminate redundancy, waste of resources and
interoperability between forces which is crucial to effectiveness. The third step is effectively
managing and sharing resources that are critical to all jurisdictions. Mutual aid arrangements need to
be in place to access facilities, services, and support from other jurisdictions throughout the incident.
A resource management system should be established for describing, inventorying, requesting,
tracking, activating and dispatching resources. This will also help in financial tracking,
reimbursement, and reporting. The fourth step is for the city to employ a unified command to establish
connection between deployed responders. This will enhance collaboration between several functional
teams like police and fire departments and will build consensus between them. The fifth and most
important step of implementing the IMS is to develop an ongoing maintenance plan. The previous
four steps can be reviewed periodically and will always have room for improvement. All levels of city
government; elected and appointed; need to be involved. Other stakeholders like the private sector and

Estate Executor
SERVING AS AN estate executor isn t for the faint of heart. It can seem like an honor, at first. When
people make out their wills, they typically name a trusted person as their executor, who then has a
legal responsibility to distribute their property according to the wishes of the deceased, and make sure
all debts and creditors are paid. But in addition to lots of paperwork and deadlines, the job often
comes with a minefield of family issues. And worst of all, executors can be sued. Here are some of the
biggest mistakes executors want to avoid: Paying bills too quickly Often an executor will start

Magill says. In most states, the executor has an obligation to conserve, but not to increase, the value of
the assets during estate settlement. Mishandling real estate Real estate is often one of the hardest
assets to administer, says Ms. Doyle. One beneficiary might be living in the house, while another
might want it sold quickly. The executor must decide the listing price and the commission to pay the
real estate agent, Ms. Doyle says. Unless amicable decisions can be reached among all of the
beneficiaries, the executor may be forced to seek probate court assistance, she says. In addition, real
estate agents may recommend certain improvements to the property before the sale. Before
authorizing any improvement, the executor needs to consider whether he or she is authorized to spend
estate assets to make such improvements. Executors also should be careful not to hold on to a house
for too long. Insurance companies don t like to insure empty houses for extended periods, Ms. Doyle
says. If the home is vacant, the executor also needs to beware of maintenance issues. If a pipe breaks,
significant damage can be done before anyone discovers it. Repairs can cost thousands of dollars and

Analysis Of A Quiet Passion By Terence Davies
I think if you re at the least an English major or minor in college, as I was, you re bound to come
across the poetry of Emily Dickinson in a class or two. Her work is profound and terribly moving, as
words flow out in such a way that you can feel the depths of feeling stretching through a nervous
system that may have only just been wracked by fits and that the questioning of what GOD is or what
LIFE and DEATH are have no choice but to be sussed out. There are also love poems too, or at least
poems sorting out what those feelings might amount to, or what it means to be at the foot of the stairs
looking at someone and not being able to, or feeling like, or whatever, going down. There s a lot of the
pain, but also the joy and reverie, in connection or those possibilities in her work.
The question then for Terence Davies is: what about the woman? There is some joy here, or even
small chirpings of humor in that reserved 19th century comedy of manners way at times in the first
two thirds... and then the last third is among the saddest things I ve seen unfold in a very long time.
What makes A Quiet Passion convincing is that Davies and his crew and cast commit to it all, and his
style is one of patience with his compositions and movements of the frame let s take a little time
moving across faces, for example, listening to a piece of music, or let s make sure we don t too much
when we can see the sum total of emotions an actor is expressing in listening (or, as a character may

Edgar Allan Poe s Annabel Lee
In a Kingdom By the Sea
The poem Annabel Lee written by Edgar Allan Poe is a poem about a strong love he had with a girl
when he was a child. Throughout the the poem Poe tells us how much he adored and loved Annabel
Lee. In the written piece it explains the love was so strong, even the angels were jealous. He puts
emotions of happiness, sorrow, and rage, but the rage is against the angels. He believes the angels
killed his Annabel Lee because they were covetous. The darkest scene in the poem is when Annabel
Lee is killed by a chilling wind. Then the darkness enhances when Poe concludes that the angels put
his love to death. The angels actions were promoted by their emotions of covetousness, however the
murder could have been avoided if they have overcame their dark impulses with ... Show more content

In stanza two it states With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven. Coveted her and me. This shows
that the angels took interest because they were feeling coveted. This means they wanted to have
something that didn t belong to them. As angels this is not a holy feeling, but a devilish feeling. So this
part is where darkness starts to take shape. Next in stanza four it tells The angels, not half so happy in
heaven,
Went envying her and me Yes! that was the reason. Then also in stanza four Poe reveals the actions of
the angels which is That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. The first part is Poe finding out that it was the angels who
commited the crime. He shows with his words that the angels are to blame for the death of Annabel
Lee. In the second part he explains how the angels killed his love by having a gust of wind come out
at night and chill Annabel Lee to death. So in finish that is how the angels emotions of covetousness
were influenced by creating a dark moment in the written

ASEAN: The integration effect

The trouble hit euro zone is hardly a poster child for regional economic integration, but it has yet to

There is no turning back. It s not just policymakers agreeing on pie in the sky issues; there is a real
demand in the business community to get it right.
Since the region s ninth summit in 2003, when the concept of an ASEAN Community was first
endorsed, GDP has risen from $722 billion to $1.8 trillion in 2010, while GDP per capita more than
doubled to $3,100. Trade also rose twofold to $2.1 trillion, one quarter of which is intra ASEAN trade.
Over the same period, China leapfrogged the US and Japan to become ASEAN s largest trading
partner, accounting for $232 billion in imports and exports in 2010, or 11.3% of the region s total.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows rose from $24.5 billion in 2003 to $76.2 billion in 2010. Intra
ASEAN capital flows have increased more than fourfold, accounting for 16.1% of the regional total in
2010 compared to 11.1% seven years ago. Only the EU contributes more.
It is a matter of debate as to who has benefited most from these developments. We have seen
multinationals take advantage of the FTA, but the problem is small and medium sized enterprises
(SMEs) don t have the manpower and resources to do the same, says Sanchita Basu Das, lead
researcher for economic affairs at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) ASEAN Studies

A Summary Of The Ancient Greek And The Byzantine Empires
Both the Ancient Greek and the Byzantine Empires have a long and familiar history with warfare,
acclimated to crushing losses and sweeping victories. In Greece, military action has fended off the
Persian invaders and brought warring city states deep set rivalries. Within the Byzantine Empire,
conquest has brought Rome back into the Roman Empire. Despite both civilizations high esteem in
military conquest and glory, they had contrasting views of warfare and how their respective armies
went to work. The Greek Classical Terracotta volute krater, attributed to the Painter of the Woolly
Satyr, illustrates two messy front line battles in separate registers. Meanwhile, from the Early
Byzantine period, the silver Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath depicts not so much a battle
between two armies, but rather a dramatic yet organized duel, over the course of 3 registers. From
these two pieces, one could all but assume one statement: of the artists and commissioners of the
terracotta volute krater and the Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath, only those of the former
have seen battle. In the terracotta volute krater, the viewer immediately sees from any angle that there
is indeed a raging battle afoot in the register occupying the body of the vase. The amazonachae, a
battle between the mythical Amazon (a race of warrior women) and Greeks, were a popular subject of
works, particularly in Athens. On one face of the neck of the vase, there rages a fight between centaurs
and Lapiths. Meanwhile, the Byzantine Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath depicts the titular
duel from the holy text. Despite drawing the viewer s eyes to the larger middle register depicting the
biblical fight, the silver plate s top register begins the plate s narrative: David is confronting the giant
Goliath. More importantly, among the two holding their hands out in blessing (thumb to ring finger),
David has the the blessing of God (depicted as a hand descending from the sky). In this narrative,
David s victory is assured; after all, he has the approval of God; such is not the case in the
amazonachae nor the centauromachia depicted on the volute krater, in which victory is still uncertain.
Needless to say, these works of art do not

Blogs as Collaborative Writing Tools Essay
Blogs as Collaborative Writing Tools
Blogs are widely embraced as a tool that has revolutionized publishing on the web. It s easy and it s
fun to keep a blog, two elements that are always attractive. I like blogs, but what I m going to write
about in this essay is a way in which I think blogs don t work; or, at least, a way in which blogs didn t
work in my teaching in the way I tried to allow it to happen. Just to telegraph my points clearly: First,

This is the first time I ve tried this assignment, so when I describe it as an experimental writing
assignment, I mean it. We will have to see how it goes. All I ask is that you give this experiment a
chance by staying involved with it, that you be willing to take some chances, and that you remain
open minded.
I want to note two important things, at least in terms of how it all turned out for this class. First, this
assignment doesn t have any particular requirements in terms of the number of postings, the subject of
the postings, or anything else. We set up the groups on the first day of class, more or less as a quick
and somewhat hap hazzard exercise. Second, this was the only element of the class that was even
remotely along the lines of an electronic discussion that is, while there was a class mailing list, one
that figures prominently into my discussion here in a moment, there wasn t a specific requirement or
even expectation that students post messages on the mailing list.
(Here I gave a brief show and tell of the blog space and discussed how it turned out poorly, I thought).
Note also that most of these blog spaces weren t really dynamic at all in that they didn t involve
exchange between posters and there wasn t what I would call a conversation going on here. People
made their posts and moved on. Now, I want to talk only briefly about my

Regulation of Financial Markets

Q: Explain the main reasons why financial markets are regulated? To what extent do you think that
recent problems in the financial markets are the result of too little regulation?
Introduction:
Since the inception of this world, people are following rules in one way or the other. Every aspect of
our lives follows a pattern. The best patterns and practices are developed in to rules. If there are no
rules, there will be chaos everywhere and catastrophe ready to strike at any moment. To keep our lives

Financial markets and institutions help to shape the corporate and financial structure of the country.
Therefore to keep the economy of the country stable, regulations are implemented.
Regulations ensure fair disclosure of information to all the entities involved in a financial transaction
(Pilbeam, 1998). Without regulations, one entity can have more information and it can take illicit
advantage from that information. To ensure fair dealing and to prevent other entities from exposure to
risk, regulations are imposed which ensure that all necessary information is disclosed prior to the
transaction taking place.
Market Failures and Crisis:
Regulations of financial institutions have always followed financial crisis and failures. Market failures
and crisis are the primary triggers of that lead to the development of regulations of financial markets
and institutions (Howells and Bain, 2004).
Although regulations cannot completely prevent the markets from failure, they can reduce the risk
(Pilbeam, 1998).
Causes of Market Failures and Crisis:
The failure and crisis in the financial markets and institutions can be caused by many factors. One can
be inefficient allocation of resources (Pilbeam, 1998). Every operation of financial institutions
includes monetary transactions. Whenever there is a shortage of money; crisis start. Therefore for all

Essay on heroin
Society today has been clouded and somewhat overtaken by social drugs. Wherever you may look, a
drug is being used, whether it is more commonly a cigarette being smoked on the street, or the covert
teens smoking marijuana in secluded areas. In any case, there is not one person who can say drug use
is not prevalent, since society has made it clear through news, music and everyday life. However,
there are certain drugs that seem to be worse than others, and society once again has taught us that
through our laws and restrictions. The worse the drug, the more you pay for having it. Basically, drugs
have become a part of our life, and you never know when they can land on your doorstep.

Heroin, a white powder, was created in 1874, and was sold as a safe substitute for morphine. However,
it was discovered that heroin produced a quick dependency in people. Heroin and other opiates were
made illegal in 1920 as part of the Dangerous Drugs Act. Still today, however, Heroin is illegally
manufactured and imported, largely from the Indian sub continent.
As well as killing pain, moderate doses of pure opioids produce a range of mild effects. They depress
the activity of the nervous system, including such reflexes as coughing, breathing and heart rate. They
also cause widening of the blood vessels, which gives a feeling of warmth and reduces bowel activity,
which causes constipation.
Heroin itself can be taken in three ways, injecting a solution of heroin and water into your vein,
snorting it, or inhaling it. A person will receive maximum effects if they inject it. Basically heroin
makes people feel as if they are in a state of Euphoria for a small amount of time, and cause people to
be drowsy warm and content, which kind of detaches you from pain.
After Heroin is injected or inhaled, it crosses the blood brain barrier, and once in the brain, it is
converted to morphine and will bind with opioid receptors. This transferring is what gives the user
their rush, and the more of the drug, the faster it binds and the stronger the rush. Heroin

Movie Review We Were Soldiers Once Essay
Movie Review: We Were Soldiers Once Angela Lewis Student ID# 5849

Dr. Kenneth Miller
There is a plethora of exemplary leadership examples depicted in the movie entitled We Were Soldiers
Once. Mel Gibson was brilliant in his leading role as Lt. Colonel Hal Moore who led his brigade into
battle in Vietnam by being and doing exactly what he expected of his troops. He led by example. He
modeled the way. He also exemplified the same leadership qualities portrayed on the battlefield in his
roles as father and husband. Not only did Moore signify leadership qualities in his roles, but he
expressed his commitment to leadership at all levels of his battalion by delegating that responsibility

In so doing, they empower their subordinates and build their confidence.
This is vital to a thriving organization because empowerment says that the leader will stand behind
you and support you when the going gets tough. He was also very direct and honest. He gave them no
false hope by being straightforward with them about the possibility of not coming home alive.
However, he did promise that they would all come home, dead or alive. Leaders have to be authentic
and even at the worst possible outcome show integrity. This is how one creates a climate of trust and
creating a climate of trust should be a leader s first order of business. If there is mutual trust among the
leader and his constituents, they can carry out their assignment with diligence, commitment and
empowerment; when subordinates feel empowered they can move forward with creativity and
initiative.
Colonel Moore demonstrated his creativity in the scene where the cannon would not fire because it
was too hot and they had no water supply to cool it off. He showed that he was a leader who could
think on his feet and improvise. He stood up and starting pissing on the cannon to cool it off and
ordered his men to do the same. In war, and many times in business and personal

Was King Arthur Responsible For The Downfall Of Guinevere
In the King Arthur legends, Guinevere was so much more than King Arthur s wife. She taught readers
lessons how to be a great wife but also how to be a unfaithful one. From the moment she met King
Arthur, she forever changed his kingdom and both of their lives for the good and the bad.
Throughout Guinevere and Lancelot s affair, Guinevere was blamed for everything. King Arthur
called her unfaithful, an adulterer, and blamed her for the fall of the Round Table. Although he was not
wrong to say these things about Guinevere, he never blamed Lancelot for the way he treated King
Arthur, his so called friend. All he ever did was fight him in order to win over Guinevere, but in the
end it was still Guinevere s fault that the whole affair had happened.

Reflection Paper On The Catholic Funeral
Catholicism is one of the most popular religions in the world. One of my close family friends passed
away recently and considered himself to be an encultured part of the Catholic religion. I chose to do
my paper over this culture and attend this event because I was curious to see what it entailed, being
one of the most popular religions in the world. At first, I was very nervous to go to the funeral because
I had never been to anything Catholic related in my life. I was scared that I would feel out of my
comfort zone and not know what to do. I have attended a couple Christian funerals in the past but
never a Catholic one. At the beginning of the ceremony, we all greeted the priest and the family and
then continued on to our seats in an organized order while slow, depressing, music played.
During the ceremony, I noticed four main aspects that seemed outstandingly different to my own
culture. The first one being that the priest would say a word and the Catholic people in the crowd
would say it in harmony with him at the exact same time he would say it. Second, I noticed that he
would say a whole quote that would be about a sentence or two long and then the crowd would
respond with a different quote which was also a sentence or two long. Third being that the priest
would say something and the people around us would either stand, kneel, or sit at cues he would give.
Finally, I noticed that during the ceremony he took time to light some sage like material and wave it

The Causes and Treatments of Acute Renal Failure
According to Sushrut Waikar, Every year more than 1 million hospitalizations in the United States are
complicated by acute kidney injury, accounting for an estimated $10 billion in excess costs to the
healthcare system. Acute Renal failure is the inability of your kidneys to work properly. Your kidneys
lose the ability to remove waste, filter and balance fluid and electrolytes. This type of renal failure
happens most often when there is an injury or trauma and blood flow to kidneys is severely
compromised. A person can return back to normal after having acute renal failure, that is if you detect
the problem and treat it on time. There are three causes prerenal, intrarenal and postrenal. In prerenal
there is a sudden and drastic drop in blood pressure which can result in no blood flow to your kidneys
also dehydration can be a part of it as well. Intrarenal occurs when the damage being done is directly
to the kidneys. This can happen from the overuse of medications. Medications are not bad when used
correctly but when you overuse or don t use them correctly they can be very harmful to your kidneys.
Postrenal is when there is an obstruction in the urinary tract most often from renal calculi or an
enlarged prostate in men that blocks the flow of urine.
Diagnostic tests can be done to determine kidney function. The most important test to determine
kidney function would be BUN and creatinine. Normal BUN is 6 20 mg/dl, creatinine normal levels
are 0.6 1.2mg/dl. If kidneys begin

Bull Tattoo Culture
Bull tattoos are symbolic of masculinity as far as the Samoans are concerned. Samoa s rich history and
cultural diversity has ensured that the art of tattooing, first introduced more than two thousand years
ago in Samoa, has burgeoned into a global movement! Tatau, the Samoan word for tattoo, portrays
correctness and workmanlike traits. These two traits have led to the concept of tattoos being
masculine, and bull tattoos, more so! Apart of its rich cultural magnificence, why should one give
attention to the various vagaries of the Samoans? And what do they have to do with the concept of bull
tattoos?
Did you know that one of the most famous wrestlers of our times, Dwayne Johnson alias The Rock, is
a Samoan who can trace his ancestry back to the Polynesian island of Samoa? The Rock has single

Emerson And Transcendentalist Beliefs
I found it interesting how Emerson weaves his theology and philosophy into his writing. From the
very beginning of the passage, Emerson establishes his transcendentalist beliefs, reconciling the idea
that the wide universe is full of good with the idea that one must work to obtain sustenance by the idea
a tenant s land is given to him to till . This reconciliation being that in his worldview evil cannot exist,
so to explain the seeming logical inconsistency of people having to toil for food, he sets up the idea
the universe provides everyone with the opportunity to achieve, but one must be willing to utilize it.
The idea of transcending coming about through labor can be seen in the way transcendentalists tried to
establish a utopian society and to perfect mankind. The natural world, according to Emerson s
philosophy, gives each individual unique ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Emerson also makes multiple parallels to various religions, seemingly connecting to Greek mythology
with the phase trust thyself , comparable to the phrase know thyself which is associated with the
Apollo temple at Delphi. If Emerson is making a reference to Greek philosophy to establish his
beliefs, then the iron string which every heart vibrates to may be related to the lyre, a symbol of
Apollo that is comparable to a harp. Another symbol that can be connected to Apollo is the laurel
wreath, a symbol of victory, comparable to immortal palms , in Emerson s essay being a symbol of
eternal triumph. As Apollo himself is often used as a symbol for the ambitions of mankind, Emerson
would be in this scenario using these allusions to Greek mythology to emphasize the ability of man to
transcend through the utilization of what nature has granted

Review Of Dr. Cleamon Moorer
For I Know the Plans
Failure is perhaps one of the most influential things in people s lives because it can alter the course of
our actions, by teaching us persistence or leading us the opposite way. Through his book, Dr. Cleamon
Moorer guides the readers through an intimate journey about his progression from failure to promise.
In the small town of Detroit, Moorer was raised by Christian parents, who taught him love, obedience,
and enforced discipline, but most importantly, they nurtured his faith in Jesus Christ. Cleamon Moorer
flourished in academics during both elementary and middle school, however, his mischievousness
throughout those years earned him many disciplinary sessions. In high school, misbehavior became
history, yet, his GPA suffered in the low C s. But with his father s tough discipline and Moore s own
effort and faith in God, he later received candidacy for the National Honor s Society. As his college
experience began, Cleamon Moore was honored to attend GMI and work along many of his
classmates at GM, but when the courses became more difficult after each semester, his grades fell
below the required minimum, hence, he became a flunk out . Yet, he did not abandon his education; he
never gave in to failure, in fact, he leaned from it. Then, with years of tenacity, patience, and faith, he
ultimately became a professor at the same university at which he had failed.
Throughout his book, From Failure to Promise 360 Degrees, Dr. Cleamon Moorer shared more than

Transcendentalism And Its Impact On Society
He taught himself to read and write by forming letters in charcoal on the kitchen floorboards (Brown).
He strove to teach himself so that he could be a teacher to others as his revolutionary ideas on
education changed how we look at education even today. He began to dive more and more into the
world of Transcendentalism. He was a husband a father and a teacher who created a wave through
America that still has rippling effects today. Much more came out of this movement including his
effect that he had on his daughter who herself spread transcendental ideas through her writings. This
man was Amos Bronson Alcott, and he was a reformer of society looking to abide by Transcendental
beliefs. Alcott played one of the biggest roles in causing Transcendentalism to be still present today as
he embodies the ideals behind Transcendentalism. Alcott took the philosophies of Thoreau and
Emerson and instilled them into the world of the educational system by adding many different
activities to the curriculum, stressing self reliance and self sacrifice to his students and his daughter.
Alcott did his best to support his family, but his lecturing and writing were limited in their
effectiveness. He understood that what he was doing was an attempt to better society, and he followed
the Transcendental ideal of non conformity. The driving force of Transcendentalism was in fact the
people that felt these ideals were best for society. Men like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David

Problems Associated With Pipe Breaks
The problems associated with pipe breaks are economic, reduce reliability and reduce water quality.
The cost of replacing or repairing a pipe can be split into capital costs (supplying and laying the new
pipe), maintenance costs (repairing and preventing failure in the system), operating costs (electricity
and filtering costs) and damage costs (property damage, inconvenience, loss of amenity, health risks
and environmental costs). (Dandy Engelhardt, 2001) All of these costs can be difficult to accurately
predict, which may be necessary when consulting with management about whether or not to replace a
pipe. Pipe bursts in commercial areas and along main roads also have higher failure costs as the
interruption the failure will have on the traffic and potential 3rd party damage will be greater. A
rational decision needs to be made into at what point it is more cost effective to replace the pipe than
letting water run out of the cracks. The cost of a repair = crew+ equipment+ sleeve + repaving +
overhead costs. Figure 2 Cost breakdown of repairing pipes (in US dollars) While the above figure
gives a rough estimate of what each portion of the repair will cost, the variables were calculated in
1982 in America, and protocols may have changed since then, or be different in New Zealand than it
was in America at the time of the study. However, this was the only literature available that considered
breaking down the cost of repair. Figure 3 Repair and Replacement Costs

From Propaganda To Advertising During World War II
Abstract: From Propaganda to Advertising This paper will analyze the WWII era poster published and
posted in 1943 by the Office of War Information, titled 1778, 1943 Americans will always fight for
liberty. Like so many propaganda posters of the era, it shows American soldiers and includes the
message, Americans will always fight for liberty. Advertising is everywhere, sometimes it is subtle,
other times it is overt. Propaganda posters are a form of advertising; they were used extensively by
many countries in the 1940 s during World War II. By attempting to reach the public directly with a
powerful and emotional message, they became an effective means to deliver that message. Similar
techniques are used in modern advertising. A 2015 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

feels insincere is that many things can change a person forever, for better or worse. Most people are

or automatically a bad thing. Later, newer programs such as Partnership for a Drug Free America

the earlier programs. By overstating the dangers of drug use and frequent negative advertising, the

A Study On Mode Choice Modeling
CHAPTER II LITERATURE STUDY
2.1 Mode choice
Mode choice is the willingness of a person to prefer one mode of transport over the other when given
various alternatives comprising different attribute values. Here, attributes are the factors which impact
the mode choice such as their socio economic characteristics, trip characteristics and available
transport characteristics.
2.1.1 Theories for mode choice modeling
Mode choice modeling is conventionally done based on discrete choice model; here the discrete set of
alternatives is given and one must be chosen. This model is based on choosing an alternative with
maximum utilization or say choosing a mode which provided the maximum utility to the user. This
utility can be found out with the attributes having an impact on mode choice. The relationship between
the attributes and mode choice gives a value to each attribute which shows the dependency of
choosing a particular mode on that attribute. The utility equations are generally represented as linear
equations; the coefficients of each attribute is taken as its weight representing its relative value or
importance in the utility equation and hence, their contribution in mode choice. Deterministic and
Probabilistic Choice Theory: The user chooses a mode as per the utility function but there can also be
some unpredictable behavior which can influence the choice. If the choice of a person in a modal is
taken as rational and he chooses a mode with maximum utility; the model is

factor for growing the business. To gain advantage from ad it must appreciate the trust of their clients
and for this to be done it needs regulation because gone customer will be gone for a long time.
Furthermore if there is any misleading advertisement then this will also discourage competition in the

Thesis Statement On Standardised Testing
Standardised Testing
Thesis
Standardised testing is something every high school student has to go through as it is a crucial and
stressful part of the college application process. During their junior year, high school student s stress
levels increase as they have to take both the SATs/ACTs and AP tests. The SAT was introduced in
1926 and since then it has slowly become more integrated into the standard procedure in order to get
into a university. The AP is an understandable test as it tests students on what they studies in class; the
SAT on the other hand requires students to do all the learning and studying on their own time. Some

What is being done now?
According to FairTest.org, there are over 900 universities in the US, out of about 4,000, that don t
require SAT or ACT scores.
The University of New Hampshire stopped accepting standardised test scores altogether; the president
of the university commented that after doing so the quantity of applications went down, but the quality
went up as they found that the applicants collectively were more mature and motivated mainly
because the application process became harder with the increased focus on essay submission.
There has been an SAT optional movement in which many liberal arts colleges in the US decided not
to require SAT or ACT scores as they thought it had outlived its usefulness.
The former president of Sarah Lawrence College stated that We are a writing intensive school, and the
information produced by SAT scores added little to our ability to predict how a student would do at
our college; it did, however, do much to bias admission in favor of those who could afford expensive

When facing challenges and hurdles, it is natural to sometimes feel overwhelmed or unconfident on how to address these new demands. In such circumstances when the people feel too much pressure, it is said that they experience stress. As students, stress can be experienced while adjusting to academic demands, while trying to fit into a new environment, or when trying to make or maintain friendships. Management wants to know whether it would be strategically advisable to integrate this information into their current data warehouse and how to leverage it. Are defective parts returns being handled properly? Too frequent scheduled inspections and maintenance increase labor costs. Poor scheduling can result in fleet support staff being over or under utilized. Due to the highly skilled personnel involved, there could be significant costs involved in not understanding the best use of their time. The vehicle fleet and its operational support is the major cost driver in this industry. Optimal management is critical. There has been much written on the different approaches to such data mining as described above. Much is available from the vendors of data management and analysis software, including some customized for fleet management. The company could decide to use one of these packages or utilize in house personnel to report against the new data in the expanded database. (Oracle, Collective Data) The United States Navy Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) completed a study in 1962 in which the majority of components analyzed by SUBMEPP did not demonstrate an age and reliability relationship and consequently, many existing time directed component overhauls have been deleted from class maintenance plans, eliminating significant costs and downtime (Allen, 1997). Regression analysis against Huffman s fleet maintenance data could discover any relationships in scheduled maintenance and failure rates. Because all data manipulation and analysis have ... They don t care if the person is Christian or not, according to them, the world has no salvation (Theroux). In page 62 of the Baptist manual, it states that Baptist should believe in justification , because it includes that pardon of sin (Hiscox). The canto begins by describing the qualities of the second circle by describing the voice of the damned rose in a bestial moan, (v 3) referring to the damned rose as those lovers driven by passion who were condemned for their acts of adultery. In verse 25, Dante describes the choir of anguish to be like a wound with a simile. Next, by using a metaphor, he describes the fate of the adulterous sinners and their punishment as being battered eternally by the winds and storms of hell, as they were figuratively battered by the winds of passion in their lives on earth. He describes with a simile how as cranes go over sounding their harsh cry, / leaving the long streak of their flight in air, / so come spirits, wailing as they fly (v 46 48). Finally, he makes use of another simile to iterate how after Francesca tells of her tale of love, Dante faints and falls, as a corpse might fall, to the dead floor of hell (v 140). IMAGERY This canto begins to delve into the more sublime, dark, and mysterious. Words like, moaning, screeching, and lamenting give this canto a sad and depressed feeling. Spatially, I can imagine a dark, black whole type of place that seems like a vacuum. A lot of the words refer to dark colors and describe the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The author of the reading believes that drug manufacturing companies are taking advantage of the situation to make more money and present various solutions. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. He thinks that although drug companies sell their products at high prices, the solutions the reading proposes will not work. First of all, the author points out that the drugs prices and the drug manufacturers are just concerned about high profits. It is mentioned that drug prices should be cheaper for the poor countries facing the pandemic problem. This point is challenged by the lecturer. Just war theories usually address two main areas: First, under what conditions is it right to go to war? Second, is there a moral way to conduct a war? As for the history of just war theories, the ancient Greeks and Romans sometimes discussed the morality of war. Cicero (106 43 B.C.), for instance, argued that the only acceptable reason for war is self defence which included the right to defend one s honor. • 13. Analysis Of A Quiet Passion By Terence Davies I think if you re at the least an English major or minor in college, as I was, you re bound to come across the poetry of Emily Dickinson in a class or two. Her work is profound and terribly moving, as words flow out in such a way that you can feel the depths of feeling stretching through a nervous system that may have only just been wracked by fits and that the questioning of what GOD is or what LIFE and DEATH are have no choice but to be sussed out. There are also love poems too, or at least poems sorting out what those feelings might amount to, or what it means to be at the foot of the stairs looking at someone and not being able to, or feeling like, or whatever, going down. There s a lot of the pain, but also the joy and reverie, in connection or those possibilities in her work. The question then for Terence Davies is: what about the woman? There is some joy here, or even small chirpings of humor in that reserved 19th century comedy of manners way at times in the first two thirds... and then the last third is among the saddest things I ve seen unfold in a very long time. What makes A Quiet Passion convincing is that Davies and his crew and cast commit to it all, and his style is one of patience with his compositions and movements of the frame let s take a little time moving across faces, for example, listening to a piece of music, or let s make sure we don t too much when we can see the sum total of emotions an actor is expressing in listening (or, as a character may ... • 16. A Summary Of The Ancient Greek And The Byzantine Empires Both the Ancient Greek and the Byzantine Empires have a long and familiar history with warfare, acclimated to crushing losses and sweeping victories. In Greece, military action has fended off the Persian invaders and brought warring city states deep set rivalries. Within the Byzantine Empire, conquest has brought Rome back into the Roman Empire. Despite both civilizations high esteem in military conquest and glory, they had contrasting views of warfare and how their respective armies went to work. The Greek Classical Terracotta volute krater, attributed to the Painter of the Woolly Satyr, illustrates two messy front line battles in separate registers. Meanwhile, from the Early Byzantine period, the silver Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath depicts not so much a battle between two armies, but rather a dramatic yet organized duel, over the course of 3 registers. From these two pieces, one could all but assume one statement: of the artists and commissioners of the terracotta volute krater and the Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath, only those of the former have seen battle. In the terracotta volute krater, the viewer immediately sees from any angle that there is indeed a raging battle afoot in the register occupying the body of the vase. The amazonachae, a battle between the mythical Amazon (a race of warrior women) and Greeks, were a popular subject of works, particularly in Athens. On one face of the neck of the vase, there rages a fight between centaurs and Lapiths. Meanwhile, the Byzantine Plate with the Battle of David and Goliath depicts the titular duel from the holy text. Despite drawing the viewer s eyes to the larger middle register depicting the biblical fight, the silver plate s top register begins the plate s narrative: David is confronting the giant Goliath. More importantly, among the two holding their hands out in blessing (thumb to ring finger), David has the the blessing of God (depicted as a hand descending from the sky). In this narrative, David s victory is assured; after all, he has the approval of God; such is not the case in the amazonachae nor the centauromachia depicted on the volute krater, in which victory is still uncertain. The Causes and Treatments of Acute Renal Failure According to Sushrut Waikar, Every year more than 1 million hospitalizations in the United States are complicated by acute kidney injury, accounting for an estimated $10 billion in excess costs to the healthcare system. Acute Renal failure is the inability of your kidneys to work properly. Your kidneys lose the ability to remove waste, filter and balance fluid and electrolytes. This type of renal failure happens most often when there is an injury or trauma and blood flow to kidneys is severely compromised. A person can return back to normal after having acute renal failure, that is if you detect the problem and treat it on time. There are three causes prerenal, intrarenal and postrenal. In prerenal there is a sudden and drastic drop in blood pressure which can result in no blood flow to your kidneys also dehydration can be a part of it as well. Intrarenal occurs when the damage being done is directly to the kidneys. This can happen from the overuse of medications. Medications are not bad when used correctly but when you overuse or don t use them correctly they can be very harmful to your kidneys. Postrenal is when there is an obstruction in the urinary tract most often from renal calculi or an enlarged prostate in men that blocks the flow of urine. This reconciliation being that in his worldview evil cannot exist, so to explain the seeming logical inconsistency of people having to toil for food, he sets up the idea the universe provides everyone with the opportunity to achieve, but one must be willing to utilize it. The idea of transcending coming about through labor can be seen in the way transcendentalists tried to establish a utopian society and to perfect mankind. Emerson also makes multiple parallels to various religions, seemingly connecting to Greek mythology with the phase trust thyself , comparable to the phrase know thyself which is associated with the Apollo temple at Delphi. If Emerson is making a reference to Greek philosophy to establish his beliefs, then the iron string which every heart vibrates to may be related to the lyre, a symbol of Apollo that is comparable to a harp. Another symbol that can be connected to Apollo is the laurel wreath, a symbol of victory, comparable to immortal palms , in Emerson s essay being a symbol of eternal triumph. As Apollo himself is often used as a symbol for the ambitions of mankind, Emerson would be in this scenario using these allusions to Greek mythology to emphasize the ability of man to transcend through the utilization of what nature has granted ... • 30. Review Of Dr. Cleamon Moorer For I Know the Plans Failure is perhaps one of the most influential things in people s lives because it can alter the course of our actions, by teaching us persistence or leading us the opposite way. Through his book, Dr. Cleamon Moorer guides the readers through an intimate journey about his progression from failure to promise. In the small town of Detroit, Moorer was raised by Christian parents, who taught him love, obedience, and enforced discipline, but most importantly, they nurtured his faith in Jesus Christ. Cleamon Moorer flourished in academics during both elementary and middle school, however, his mischievousness throughout those years earned him many disciplinary sessions. In high school, misbehavior became history, yet, his GPA suffered in the low C s. But with his father s tough discipline and Moore s own effort and faith in God, he later received candidacy for the National Honor s Society. As his college experience began, Cleamon Moore was honored to attend GMI and work along many of his classmates at GM, but when the courses became more difficult after each semester, his grades fell below the required minimum, hence, he became a flunk out . Yet, he did not abandon his education; he never gave in to failure, in fact, he leaned from it. Then, with years of tenacity, patience, and faith, he ultimately became a professor at the same university at which he had failed. Throughout his book, From Failure to Promise 360 Degrees, Dr. Cleamon Moorer shared more than ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Transcendentalism And Its Impact On Society He taught himself to read and write by forming letters in charcoal on the kitchen floorboards (Brown). He strove to teach himself so that he could be a teacher to others as his revolutionary ideas on education changed how we look at education even today. He began to dive more and more into the world of Transcendentalism. He was a husband a father and a teacher who created a wave through America that still has rippling effects today. Much more came out of this movement including his effect that he had on his daughter who herself spread transcendental ideas through her writings. This man was Amos Bronson Alcott, and he was a reformer of society looking to abide by Transcendental beliefs. Alcott played one of the biggest roles in causing Transcendentalism to be still present today as he embodies the ideals behind Transcendentalism. Alcott took the philosophies of Thoreau and Emerson and instilled them into the world of the educational system by adding many different activities to the curriculum, stressing self reliance and self sacrifice to his students and his daughter. Alcott did his best to support his family, but his lecturing and writing were limited in their effectiveness. He understood that what he was doing was an attempt to better society, and he followed the Transcendental ideal of non conformity. The driving force of Transcendentalism was in fact the people that felt these ideals were best for society. Men like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Amos ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Problems Associated With Pipe Breaks The problems associated with pipe breaks are economic, reduce reliability and reduce water quality. The cost of replacing or repairing a pipe can be split into capital costs (supplying and laying the new pipe), maintenance costs (repairing and preventing failure in the system), operating costs (electricity and filtering costs) and damage costs (property damage, inconvenience, loss of amenity, health risks and environmental costs). (Dandy Engelhardt, 2001) All of these costs can be difficult to accurately predict, which may be necessary when consulting with management about whether or not to replace a pipe. Pipe bursts in commercial areas and along main roads also have higher failure costs as the interruption the failure will have on the traffic and potential 3rd party damage will be greater. A rational decision needs to be made into at what point it is more cost effective to replace the pipe than letting water run out of the cracks. The cost of a repair = crew+ equipment+ sleeve + repaving + overhead costs. Figure 2 Cost breakdown of repairing pipes (in US dollars) While the above figure gives a rough estimate of what each portion of the repair will cost, the variables were calculated in 1982 in America, and protocols may have changed since then, or be different in New Zealand than it was in America at the time of the study. However, this was the only literature available that considered breaking down the cost of repair. Figure 3 Repair and Replacement Costs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From Propaganda To Advertising During World War II Abstract: From Propaganda to Advertising This paper will analyze the WWII era poster published and posted in 1943 by the Office of War Information, titled 1778, 1943 Americans will always fight for liberty. Like so many propaganda posters of the era, it shows American soldiers and includes the message, Americans will always fight for liberty. Advertising is everywhere, sometimes it is subtle, other times it is overt. Propaganda posters are a form of advertising; they were used extensively by many countries in the 1940 s during World War II. By attempting to reach the public directly with a powerful and emotional message, they became an effective means to deliver that message. Similar techniques are used in modern advertising. A 2015 ... Later, newer programs such as Partnership for a Drug Free America (PDFA) and DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) greatly toned down the scare tactic used by the earlier programs. • 35. A Study On Mode Choice Modeling CHAPTER II LITERATURE STUDY 2.1 Mode choice Mode choice is the willingness of a person to prefer one mode of transport over the other when given various alternatives comprising different attribute values. Here, attributes are the factors which impact the mode choice such as their socio economic characteristics, trip characteristics and available transport characteristics. 2.1.1 Theories for mode choice modeling Mode choice modeling is conventionally done based on discrete choice model; here the discrete set of alternatives is given and one must be chosen. This model is based on choosing an alternative with maximum utilization or say choosing a mode which provided the maximum utility to the user. This utility can be found out with the attributes having an impact on mode choice. The relationship between the attributes and mode choice gives a value to each attribute which shows the dependency of choosing a particular mode on that attribute. The utility equations are generally represented as linear equations; the coefficients of each attribute is taken as its weight representing its relative value or importance in the utility equation and hence, their contribution in mode choice. Deterministic and Probabilistic Choice Theory: The user chooses a mode as per the utility function but there can also be some unpredictable behavior which can influence the choice. If the choice of a person in a modal is taken as rational and he chooses a mode with maximum utility; the model is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(OLS is the formal name of the typical kind of regression analysis) The goal of ordinary least squares (OLS) regression is to best predict one variable?s behavior against another. For example, I would like to predict a participant?s Clinical Judgment Score against the simulation?s Simulation Design Score. My research question is Does the Simulation Design Score affect the participant Clinical Judgment Score? My hypothesis is that as the Simulation Design Score increases the participant?s Clinical Judgment Score will also increase. Therefore concluding the better the design of the simulation experience the better the participant will learn clinical judgement skills. If the variables are positively correlated, as the Simulation Design Scores increases the participants? Clinical Judgment Scores will increase. If the variables are negatively correlated, as the Simulation Design Scores increase the participants? Clinical Judgment Scores would decrease. If Clinical Judgment Scores do not react consistently in relation to Simulation Design Scores, they are either non linear or are not correlated. 2.???????How does regression work (statistically, what happens when you perform a regression)? To continue my hypothetical research question: I would run a simulation and afterwards each participant would evaluate the simulation using the Simulation Design Scale. Next ... In that way, we would not pay attention to the background but the tension in the scene instead. Basically at first glance, there is a depiction of purity and grace on the beautiful oil master piece. The two figures of the Archangel and Virgin Mary are close together and it shows a scene of almost touching fingers while they try to reach for one another but seems like they would never join hands. The male figure of the archangel would carry a long feather like pen and it would bow down to the Virgin marry and tries to respectable speak to her. On the other hand, the Virgin Mary seems to be in authority because she is standing up and looking down at the Archangel. This creates tension in the painting while we question the social distinction between the two. Looking closely at the Virgin Mary, her eyes would be close.
