Jellyfish Jew Jack Prelutsky Analysis
Jack Prelutsky s poem Jellyfish Stew is fresh, silly, and wacky. The combination of satisfying rhymes
and content make it easily approachable for kids. I was inclined to it because of its peculiarity. The
content matter seemed so random and I thought it would be fun to challenge myself by analyzing such
a silly poem and trying to find depth. I also really enjoyed how much its rhymes were consistent in
every line.
Sounds
A most memorable experience in reading a great variety of poems is the sound the poem makes. As
children, we are drawn to repetitive rhymes and melodies more than content itself. It is nice to hear a
familiar pattern as we evolve and expand our reading skills to more complicated poems. A key feature
of sounds is a poem s rhymes. Repetition of similar sounds is often comforting and Prelutsky does it
very well. In the first stanza, every line but two ends with the same sound; this is for variety: Oh, truly
I do / You re creepy to see / Revolting to chew / You slide down inside / With a hullabaloo . The poem
does not features alliterations, repetitions of initial sounds. Prelutsky makes up for this by including
consonance and assonance sounds instead which are repetitions of consonant sounds and vowel
sounds, respectively. The word you is repeated at the beginning of lines, frequently You re soggy, you
re smelly / You taste like shampoo / You bog down my belly . Within those same lines, the repetition
of the s and b sounds are heard as well. A fun example of an assonance is the following line: With
oodles of goo . Both words are humorous and repeat the silly oo sound. A bit more complicated
feature of sound is a poem s rhythm, a pattern created by beats. It is established by analyzing a poem s
meter. In the first line of the poem, is a trochee: Je/lly/fish/stew but the majority of remaining syllables
in the next few lines are unstressed, making it difficult to analyze the meter overall. Pictures Pictures
in poetry are the images writers create which make us use all of our senses. Excellent pictures can
make your mind travel to new destinations simply by reading. Prelutsky uses wonderful imagery
appealing to sight suggesting how disgusting jellyfish stew is: soggy , oodles of

published in the Harvard Business Review in 1957, and has given generations of marketers and

Essay on Cultural Anthropology and Ethnographic Fieldwork
Cultural Anthropology and Ethnographic Fieldwork
James P. Spradley (1979) described the insider approach to understanding culture as a quiet revolution
among the social sciences (p. iii). Cultural anthropologists, however, have long emphasized the
importance of the ethnographic method, an approach to understanding a different culture through
participation, observation, the use of key informants, and interviews. Cultural anthropologists have
employed the ethnographic method in an attempt to surmount several formidable cultural questions:
How can one understand another s culture? How can culture be qualitatively and quantitatively
assessed? What aspects of a culture make it unique and which connect it to other cultures? If ... Show

This interpretation must make meaning from the culture in the same way that natives draw meaning.
According to Spradley (1979), the structural components of cultural meaning come from what people
say, what they do, and what artifacts they use (p. 9). In anthropological field work, he or she attempts
to observe and document these cultural aspects. In addition, and more importantly, the anthropologist
must then, as accurately as possible, make inferences which parallel those of the natives.
The grandiose task of wearing another s cultural skin understandably comes with a host of opinions on
how such a job can be accomplished. Anthropologists have long argued about the accuracy of
ethnographies (Levinson Ember, 1996, pp. 419 21). Much of the discussion stems from the
assumption that some cultural aspects are ineffable and subconscious. Can an anthropologist approach
his subject, as Spradley argues, with a conscious attitude of almost complete ignorance ? Is it possible
to consciously withhold one s own cultural interpretations while attempting to study that very thing in
another culture? (Spradley, 1979, p. 4 Levinson Ember, 1996, pp. 419 21).
Anthropologist Robert M. Keesing, in his essay Not a Real Fish: The Ethnographer as Insider
Outsider, (1992) deals candidly with the problems of fully becoming an

Las Frc Colombia
Ending a big problem can be one of the most relaxing things that can ever happen, but when a bigger
problem arises, then it s absolutely one of the worst things a human or a country can ever withstand. In
the 1990 s, the country of Colombia was suffering with a war on drugs. There was a lot of
pandemonium on the streets of big cities like Bogota and Medellin. After the person who started the
war on drugs got killed, Pablo Escobar, it seemed like peace was imminent again, but there was
another problem the Colombians didn t know about; it was called Las FARC. Las FARC is a left wing
rebel group from the South American Country, Colombia; they also have had incursions in the past in
the countries of Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Panama, and Ecuador ... Show more content on

Although there is a lack of organizations involved in this fight, the United States was involved to stop
this group because they don t want Las FARC to overthrow the government and spread communist
ideas. The involvement of the United States in the war on las FARC has been tremendous. The United
States has sent troops and money to the Colombian government because they don t the rebels to win;
plus the United States and Colombia have really peaceful relations. Also the country of Colombia
itself has attempted to to support rural redevelopment in Colombia, and that could potentially cost at
least 45 million dollars over ten years (CFR). A lot of Colombia s budget has been used to stop and
have peace with Las FARC; many damages and also military debt had to be paid because of the
fighting with them. Also the victims have also been given reparations from the suffering that they had
in FARC prisons, people would starve to death or just get shot. One of the biggest issues of this topic
though is that not many Americans know about this issue that has been going on in Colombia for the
past fifty years. The richest rebel group in the world is not known by many Americans. One thing
Americans should is mention this problem in literature because people need to know about this issue.
If Communism ever gets spread again it

Essay On Schizophrenics
For the cause of this illness, researches strongly believe that genetics and brain chemistry and the
schizophrenics environments contribute to development of this kind of mental disorder.
Firstly, the main cause of schizophrenia is genetic. Due to research to family members of the patients
with Schizophrenia, we usually have risk to get schizophrenia is about 5% among the relatives who
have this illness compared to general population. For twins, the identical twins have 40% to 65%
chances of developing this illness while fraternal twins have 14% 17% chance of having
schizophrenia. Next, for the someone who has Schizophrenic parents, one has 12% potential to have
this mental illness. However, it can increase to 46% to 50% if both of his parents are affected. The
close genetic relationship to a patient with Schizophrenic are riskier to have schizophrenia compared
to distant genetic relationships. The relatives of Schizophrenic were often contaminated by hereditary
mental disease (Bleuler). Baby of a Schizophrenic mother s still have the risk to have Schizophrenia

Argumentative Essay On Six Flags
Would you ever like to go to a special, amazing, extraordinary field trip? If so then what was it. Have
you ever heard of six flags, it is a water park that has all type of slides, roller coasters and more? Well
six flags are one of the field trips that I would want to go to. Many teachers argue that the field trips
are not educational, but I argue that six flags has many educational things. Ranging from classroom
sessions and swimming in water with dolphins to learning about and actually sleeping with the sharks,
these programs are designed to allow individualized or group learning opportunities. Also it is a great
place to have fun with your friends and family. There is also a very cool slide that they made this year.
It is called the King Cobra, how does that sound. To begin, six flags is very educational because
students will be put to the test with hands on learning to master the math and science of our coasters.
Following the assemblies, students are able to participate in four special park activities and prizes.

ENERGY IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Abstract
This report discusses the role of energy in sustainable development goals. The report highlights on the
target set by the United Nations and the time frame given to achieve these targets. Some of the
challenges hindering sustainable development especially in the poor sections of the population and
measures needed to be taken have also been identified. It concludes with the primary principles and
basic practices needed to be taken in order to achieve the sustainable development goals.
Introduction
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising
the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (Brundtland report, 1987). This really
emphasizes on the needs and the idea of limitations often related to the world s poor on how to bridge
the gap of needs and the environment (including climate) now and the future. Basically, it elaborates
on the equality of the life between the rich and the poor (that is, how the poor can be on par with the
rich) in terms of standard of living. Also, it draws attention to the use of green technologies in order to
build a better and brighter future. I believe this cannot be achieved easily, therefore the possibility of
achieving this can be very low, but with strong initiatives and plans, the bridge can be narrowed. An
effective tool for this can

James Galbraith s Time To Ditch The U
In his article Time to Ditch the NAIRU, published in the Journal of Economic Perspective, James
Galbraith has addressed an alternative view on the controversial NAIRU, or the natural rate of
unemployment. His argument is well presented in four parts: the non compelling theoretical cases for
the natural rate; the mismeasure of the NAIRU and the shortcomings of the short run Phillips curve;
professional disagreements and discussions on the location of the NAIRU, and lastly, costs and
benefits of using the natural rate of unemployment a policy guide tool. This response paper will
critically analyze Galbraith s view and provide a personal viewpoint on the main ideas related to the
NAIRU, in context particularly presented by Galbraith and the world s economy in general.
In Unsolved Theoretical Questions , Galbraith suggests the current and past debates about the concept
of the NAIRU, and then raises several concerns about the validity and usefulness of the natural rate.
The idea of the natural rate was invented by Milton Friedman (1968) and Edmund Phelps (1968).

The New Liberal Arts is an article written by Sanford J. Ungar, who is a president of Goucher College
in Baltimore, Maryland. In the beginning of his article, Ungar wrote, Hard economic times inevitably
bring scrutiny of all accepted ideals and institutions, and this time around the liberal arts education has
been especially hard hit. In other words, Ungar means that recent economic recessions have made a
huge impact on what people think of going for a liberal arts degree. In his essay, Ungar lists seven
misperceptions and how he reacts to them. The most common misperception that Ungar identified is
that liberal arts degrees are no longer affordable. The cost for liberal arts education is very expensive

He wrote, The career bandwagon seems to suggest that shortcuts are available to students that lead
directly to high paying jobs leaving out frills like learning how to write and speak well, how to
understand the nuances of literacy texts and scientific concepts, how to collaborate with others on
research What he means by that is there is no shortcuts to a high paying jobs. He also implies that
liberal arts education is the only right way to prepare an individual for their future career because it
equips ones with the abilities to write and speak formally, and understandings on scientific matter or
how to cooperate with other people for your work, etc. However, I do not think he can deny the fact
that the starting salary for a liberal arts graduate is approximately $32,500 while for an engineer is
$75,000, (http://www.mtu.edu/engineering/outreach/welcome/salary/). For instant, what can a person
possibly do with his philosophy degree right after graduating? He will probably have to go for more
schooling before he can find a high paying job at some big firms or he will have to struggle a lot
before he can open his philosophy shop or publish his book. In short, a liberal arts degree will take
longer to see its worth than career education or vocational training.

My Values In My Life
Based on the path that my life has taken, I will say that I rarely have any meaningful items or people
that are important to me. A few things that have become important to me or have interest me in my life
are Devan and books. Spending time with Devan makes me feel comfortable and that I can be myself
instead of acting fake to be important like I have to be around other people. Devan realized who I
really was instead of who I was trying to act like. I have tried to enjoy playing sports to be like
everyone else, but I have always been more interested in books that I can get lost in. Reading books
makes me enjoy life and enjoy seeing how other people view the world even if the story is written as
fiction. When reading any story that interest me, I love to read on what the author s thoughts were on
how they came up with while writing the story. When I get a new book that interest me, I will get lost
in the way the story is told and will not realize what time or day it is. I will never put the book down if
i fall in love with the story that the author is telling. These two things have become the most important
things in my life and always will be because of the enjoyment I get. As a student, I would expect that
teachers be willing to help their students when they are stuck on something and not just make the
student feel like they are stupid for asking a question. I feel like the teacher should treat each student
the same way no matter who they are. I expect the teacher to

Hurricane Emily Research Paper
Hurricane Emily
Hurricane Emily was a powerful tropical cyclone that wreaked havoc across the Caribbean Sea to
Mexico. It broke the record for being the strongest hurricane formed, just days after Hurricane Dennis
had done so. The storm formed on July 10th, 2005 in the centre of the Atlantic Ocean. It then passed
over the Windward Islands on the 14th, before traveling west northwest and slowly intensified over
the Caribbean until it hit its peak as a Category 5 hurricane on July 16th. This made it the first
category 5 hurricane of the year. The storm travelled over the Yucatan Peninsula as a Category 4, and
Emily hit the Gulf of Mexico and Tamaupullas in the next few days. On July 20th, the storm
dissipated within 24 hours. The scientific name for this type of storm is a tropical cyclone ; however,
when formed over the Atlantic Ocean or the Eastern Pacific Ocean, they are called hurricanes.
Hurricanes are formed in intense low pressure areas in these oceans. The fuel of a hurricane is water
vapour from the surface of the ocean. This water vapour condenses to form clouds and rain which, in
turn, warms the surrounding air. When there is little wind shear over the ocean (this is what usually
takes the heat away), the heat will build up and cause pressure to form. This causes wind to spiral in

Positive Aspects Of Being An American
Being an American means having the chance to voice your opinion. This can be either good or bad for
multiple reasons. A few positive reasons are that you may have a view that no one has considered or
you may have new ideas for laws and/or acts. A few negatives to everyone has a say is that mainly
elite upper class white males or people with massive amounts of funding are elected to positions of
power. In addition to the political system we have in place we have a great economic system. In
America we are free to buy and sell almost anything we would like to. The one stipulation is that you
cannot sell controlled substances and things of that nature. We are also able to hold a vast assortment
of jobs instead of having a few that the government allows us to choose from. Finally, America has a

The topic of sexual orientation is both sensitive and controversial. This is evident in events, such as
the Pride Parade, and also in media, where authoritative figures preach against it and speak of its
sinful nature (Emmanuele, Blanchard, Camperio Ciani, Bancroft, 2010). Sexual orientation exists in
various forms, it differs in the way it is viewed by different cultures, and researchers propose different
perspectives to explain the emergence of an individual s sexual orientation. In the discourse of sexual
orientation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A pattern emerges where the scholarly literature exploring this topic is largely focused on males.
Reason being is that it appears that males are the sex who are predominantly homosexual in their
orientation (LeVay Baldwin, 2012). However, the sensitivity within the discourse of sexual orientation
arises when it is debated upon whether one s sexual preference is innate at birth, hence a force of
nature or biology, or if it is a result of culture, nurture or environmental factors (Emmanuele et al.,
2010). Furthermore, an experimental design will be proposed to further examine this topic. Comparing
the three chosen studies, it is evident that a biological and endocrinological perspective does account
for sexual orientation (Kraemer et al., 2006; Manning et al., 2007; Miller et al., 2008). Of the studies
that currently exist on this topic, data shows that prenatal testosterone levels are indicative of sexual
orientation (Kraemer et al., 2006; Manning et al., 2007; Miller et al., 2008). This paper addresses a
topic that is relevant in today s society; a topic that has, for the most part, been written off as having
any scientific roots (Emmanuele et al., 2010). This paper counters that belief and in reading this essay,
it will be evident that biology and endocrinology have a much stronger influence on sexual orientation
than previously thought. Kraemer et al. (2006) conducted a study based on scientifically proven

Dividend Policy at Fpl Group Essay
Dividend Policy at FPL Group
FPL Group Overview:
The FPL Group was Florida s largest electric utility group and the fourth largest in America. The FPL
Group had annual revenues of exceeding $5 billion. Florida Power amp; Light Company, the main
subsidiary of the FPL Group had 3.9 million customer accounts and covered a service area that
included six of America s ten fastest growing metropolitan areas.
a. Summarize the key elements of FPL s financial policy and compare it with other relevant firms.
We are commenting on FPL s financial policy from a dividend and capital structure perspective.
FPL has a very high dividend payout ratio of around 90% and has a 47 year streak of dividend
increases. FPL s dividend payout ratio is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would mean intense competition and may open up FPL to pricing pressure and in an adverse
situation, losses. Such a situation has already been witnessed in California s utility companies post
introduction of retail wheeling in their state.
In light of the situation mentioned above, FPL has to ensure that it has the resources available to meet
future competition where one of the determinants of winning or retaining new business may be price.
Hence, its dividend payout policy must be modified to account for these industry changes.
c. How should FPL choose between dividends and share repurchases as alternative modes of
payment?
The Modigliani Miller clearly postulates that the dividend policy is irrelevant. The value of the assets
of FPL should be independent of the financial structure of the firm. Also, the choice of dividend
payments or share repurchases should not influence the share price as both methods are ways to
distribute cash to the shareholders. However, this is true only in the Modigliani Miller world where
there are no costs related to taxes or financial distress.
In practice, dividend policy will be affected by taxes as tax rates for different categories of investors
will differ. Also, a firm s dividend policy is perceived by the financial markets to be a signaling
mechanism. A cut back in dividends may signify that the firm perceives tough

Regulated Power Supply Paper
(Moodle) Week 8 Regulated Power Supply (2015)
AC:
The Alternating current flows one way, then another way, continually reversing direction. It is usually
called an AC or Mains. With the UK mains supply about 230Volts and has a frequency of 50Hz Hertz
which mean it will change the direction, and back again 50 times a second. Alternating current is used
in homes, transformers, and other places.
Rectifier:
Rectifier converts alternating current to direct current the process is known as rectification. The
rectifier is an electronic circuit. Rectifier diode lets the electrical current flow in only one direction
and is mainly used for power supply operations. They can handle higher current flow than regular
ones. The one that is located on switch mode power supply is 800 V and 1 Amp. The diode 3 and 2
will act as open switches, diodes 1 and 4 will act as closed switches and will start conducting the
energy coming flowing thru.
Smoothing Capacitor:
The smoothing capacitor job is to convert the half wave or full wave output of the rectifier into
smooth DC. It is mostly used to remove ripple from the output of the direct current power supply. On
the Switch mode power supply paper sheet we have identified that the smoothing ... Show more

voltage is called step up transformer, and one that decrease voltage is set down. Transformers only
work if alternating current is given to the primary coil. If direct current was supplied, there would be
no current in the secondary coil. The transformer has two coil system primary and secondary system.
The magnetic force of the first set of wires causes the second set to change the power. The one set is
an incoming voltage which is usually thicker and the other one is thinner and will be lower in

Understanding The Meaning Of Love
What is love? Many people do not know the meaning of love, they think that it is what we feel but it s
what we do that demonstrates love. (Deem, 2011). There are many ways to express your love to your
family or friends but there is one true love, God. I will be discussing the biblical meaning of love and
what God wants us to apply to ourselves to have healthy relationships by representing his love to
others. There are four types of love which are Forge, Eros, Philia and Agape. (Wellman, 2014)
Forge is family love as in love for your parents, siblings, and children. (Wellman, 2014). According to
Merriam Webster the meaning is Parental affection; the instinctive affection which animals have for
their young. Parents manifest this love by providing their family members with shelter, protection, and
financial needs. Older brothers demonstrate this love by providing support and protection to their
younger siblings especially if they are being bullied or mistreated. In Proverbs 31:15 17 you see the
love of a mother towards her whole household, it states She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast
for her household and plan the day s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. (NLT).
The love between a man and a woman which is sensual love, acceptable in marriage is Eros.
(Wellman, 2014). There are many people that practice this type of love outside of marriage which is

Social Media Communication Essay
Social media is one of the main ways of communication. This generation uses social media to do a
majority of their communication. There are many things to think about when communicating with
social media. Also when running a company such as J L heating and air I want my customers to
perceive my company as being respectful. When responding to emails I want my customers to get a
very prompt response. Sometimes email is the only impression the customer may have of the
company, it defiantly needs to be a great first impression. Below are the rules that our company will
be abiding by.
Don t write in all caps. When writing in all caps it appears that you are yelling at the audience or
person you are talking to. Being aware of how you may come off to the person you are
communicating with is very important. Writing in all caps can feel very rude. This is also considered
disrespectful.
Check grammar. Checking grammar before posting or sending an email can make you appear more
intelligent. Your audience will be more likely to take you serious if your grammar is correct. This also
makes customers feel that if you are uneducated in grammar then what other areas of your skill set are
you uneducated in.
Don t say anything you wouldn t say to anyone s face. People generally seem to feel more confident
and say things they would never say to someone s face while sitting behind a keyboard. There are
defiantly more appropriate was to handle situations than cowardly hiding behind a keyboard.

the most intelligent and talented people of all time. The term Renaissance man (someone who does
many things very well) was coined from Leonardo s many talents and is today used to describe people
who resemble da Vinci. As a renaissance artist, he set the imitation of nature as his primordial goal,

Don Juan Legend Meaning
In all of the previous Don Juan legends Don Juan is doomed to hell for his mischievous deeds and
seductive schemes. Instead of vanishing into the painful flames of hell Don Juan was allowed to float
away as an angel with his love Dona Inés. This astonishing ending drew quite a lot of curiosity as to
why Zorrilla would allow such an evil and deceitful man to flourish in heaven. The same sins of lying,
cheating, and killing were committed in all the Don Juan legends just as this one which is why I did
not understand what allowed Don Juan to be granted salvation. In my opinion for Zorrilla to alter the
ending of the renowned Don Juan legend this has to somehow relate to his personal life. Throughout
this drama I noticed the similar association

Oppression In Native American Culture
Native Americans, the true founders of America, are best known for having a tight grip on tradition
throughout the years. Tradition is a way that Native Americans have been able to coexist for so long,
and is also a way that natives have found stability from tribe to tribe. As Native Americans graciously
welcomed colonists into the new world years ago, they did not receive equal respect in return. The
colonists invading America gave natives a harsh ultimatum, to either leave America, or conform to the
new society that would soon destroy the teepees and farmlands the natives considered home. The
oppression from the colonists, gave natives the incentive that being any race other than white was not
something to be proud of. Through the use of narrative writing done by Native Americans, readers are
given an opportunity to see history through the lens of the oppressed. This further gives an opportunity
for readers understand the very situation that many people who may even look like them once had to
deal with. This allows us to not only draw specific conclusions about this period of oppression, but it
displays how easy it can be for people to fall into very specific standards, and conform to societies that
do not protect their values, and lives.
Growing up, children are regularly told to be themselves, because everyone else is taken. This advice,
however, is quite controversial. I hated Tonto Still Do, written by Sherman Alexie, expresses how

Rat Observation Report
On May 16 2017, my partner and I dissected a rat in Anatomy. I was looking forward to the dissection,
although the thought of cutting a rat open was not very appealing. Although, I do enjoy partaking in
and watching surgeries on YouTube. The sad part though for this lab was that it would be our last one
with Mr.Cantrell. My partner for this lab was Caitlin Ledbetter, as she has also been my partner for the
whole year. Once walking into the classroom, the smell of formaldehyde filled my senses, making me
want to gag. The aroma is not very pleasant, although, you tend to get used to it after a while. As class

The rat was laid face down on the tray and immediately we were able to distinguish whether it was
male or female. We could tell our rat was male because of the inflamed or overly sized testes. After
Mr.Cantrell gave us advice on how to successfully skin the rat, we began our dissection. Before we
began to cut down the rat, we had to break both of the rats arms and legs in order to pin it down onto
the tray. After doing this and pinning the rat down, we were able to begin. Caitlin picked up the
scalpel and began to cut vertically down the rats stomach. We had to do this operation very slowly and
delicately, otherwise we would cut through the muscle. After finishing cutting it vertically, we cut
across both arms and legs. By then, we were able to peel the skin back and pin it onto the tray. We
weren t able to see the organs yet, therefore we had to cut through the muscle. By cutting through the
muscle, a lot of formaldehyde and bodily liquid began to pour out which was nauseating yet
interesting. We decided to take both the rat and tray over to the trash can and dish out all of the
formaldehyde that was filled inside of the rat s body. After doing this, we went back to

Romanian Culture Interview Essay
Though I was born in Detroit and am a first generation American, I have always identified more with
my Romanian heritage. My parents escaped from communist Romania and found a community of
other Romanians also seeking solace here in Michigan. We connected with each other through
churches spread throughout southeast Michigan. And so, I would be able to spend time with my
extended family and a multitude of other Romanians at least once every week. There is a saying here:
It takes a village to raise a child, and that could not be more true of the Romanian family that raised
me. They had imbued me with the harsh life lessons learned from living underneath a dictatorship and

In Romanian culture, it is incredibly important to respect your elders as well as each other. I deduced
that the purpose behind this cultural phenomenon was to learn from others. By respecting my
Romanian elders, I opened up the avenue to understand and apply their wisdom. For example, I owe
them my strong work ethic. Due to the fact that many Romanians lost everything when they came
overseas, I was raised to never take anything for granted. This included my own intelligence. As an
example, during my academic studies I made sure that I was not over confident of my abilities and
prepared to do extra work in order to insure my success. In fact, I came up with a saying to motivate
myself: Work hard enough so that it s impossible to fail. Each time I struggled in a class, certain that I
would receive my first B, I would apply this work ethic in order to deal with the stress. Thus, I feel
that I would be of great use to the medical community as I am no stranger to arduous work. My
teammates in this endeavor would no doubt welcome my drive to push beyond what is necessary in

God then began to create countless number of planets with different versions of Adams and Eves to
experience life in the physical form. These initial versions of Adam and Eves were the literal
expressions of God. They were created in the image of God and they were given everything that they
would ever need to enjoy life. They were living in the paradise that knew nothing about negativity or
problems. The only difference between Heaven and the place where billions versions of 20th century

angry about themselves for eating the fruit. This emotion of anger was also new to them. Likewise
they began to produce thoughts after thoughts after thoughts endlessly which was also new to them.
What they did not realize at this point was that the fruit which they consumed activated the thinking
mind, their subconscious mind. Right after consuming the fruit, Adam could notice the partition in his
mind. He was suddenly thinking. He was repeatedly thinking Omg, God would be angry at me now ,
Should I puke it out , Should I take some stomach cleanser to clear this thing off my system , hope this

Shakespeare s Life And Characters In Hamlet By William...
Throughout the years, humankind had find different ways to pass the time. One way to pass the time
for humans is writing. This is a form of expressing our inner feelings, helping others, or communicate
with one another. During the 1590 s, an author by the name of William Shakespeare began writing
plays to entertain not only himself, but his audiences as well. Like any other author, his plays came
from inspirations, more specifically, Hamlet. His life views can be seen in this play and influenced
how characters interacted with others or viewed life. Due to William Shakespeare s terrible
experiences with love, his characters in Hamlet and other works experience hardships with romantic
affairs. At the age of eighteen years old, in November 1582, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway
who at the time was twenty six years old. Since his wife was expecting a child, they married rather
hastily also know as a shot gun wedding (Potter, 10). By 1585, Shakespeare had a total of three
children, which in turn did not help his finance issues. According to Scholar Lois Potter, Shakespeare
spent most of his time in London, where he made most of his works, which could have been a form of
birth control. During his time in London, it is thought that he had an affair with several women. He
wrote his works in London and even after he retired, he frequently visited London. Towards the end of
his retirement, Shakespeare s child, Susanna, married John Hall, who ended up having an affair with

What Is Josiah Strong s Ideology
Josiah Strong and his ideology compared to Nazi ideology Josiah Strong s and Hitler s (Nazi)
Ideology have many similarities and differences. Both ideologies subscribe to some of the same social
and political theories and have many points of comparison and interest. First of all, both Strong and
Hitler subscribed to theories of racial hierarchy and social Darwinism. Interestingly, although both
believed their races to be the superior there was some mutual respect between the two. Hitler admiring
the British empire and having good relations with the royal family and Strong referring to the German
Race as one of the noblest (even though living at different times in history) Strong believed Protestant
Christianity was the most powerful force for civilizing peoples all over the world, and he believed that
people of Anglo Saxon origin were the best positioned to civilize the rest of the world. This race is

  • 2. Jellyfish Jew Jack Prelutsky Analysis Jack Prelutsky s poem Jellyfish Stew is fresh, silly, and wacky. The combination of satisfying rhymes and content make it easily approachable for kids. I was inclined to it because of its peculiarity. The content matter seemed so random and I thought it would be fun to challenge myself by analyzing such a silly poem and trying to find depth. I also really enjoyed how much its rhymes were consistent in every line. Sounds A most memorable experience in reading a great variety of poems is the sound the poem makes. As children, we are drawn to repetitive rhymes and melodies more than content itself. It is nice to hear a familiar pattern as we evolve and expand our reading skills to more complicated poems. A key feature of sounds is a poem s rhymes. Repetition of similar sounds is often comforting and Prelutsky does it very well. In the first stanza, every line but two ends with the same sound; this is for variety: Oh, truly I do / You re creepy to see / Revolting to chew / You slide down inside / With a hullabaloo . The poem does not features alliterations, repetitions of initial sounds. Prelutsky makes up for this by including consonance and assonance sounds instead which are repetitions of consonant sounds and vowel sounds, respectively. The word you is repeated at the beginning of lines, frequently You re soggy, you re smelly / You taste like shampoo / You bog down my belly . Within those same lines, the repetition of the s and b sounds are heard as well. A fun example of an assonance is the following line: With oodles of goo . Both words are humorous and repeat the silly oo sound. A bit more complicated feature of sound is a poem s rhythm, a pattern created by beats. It is established by analyzing a poem s meter. In the first line of the poem, is a trochee: Je/lly/fish/stew but the majority of remaining syllables in the next few lines are unstressed, making it difficult to analyze the meter overall. Pictures Pictures in poetry are the images writers create which make us use all of our senses. Excellent pictures can make your mind travel to new destinations simply by reading. Prelutsky uses wonderful imagery appealing to sight suggesting how disgusting jellyfish stew is: soggy , oodles of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Understanding the Tool The Ansoff Matrix was first published in the Harvard Business Review in 1957, and has given generations of marketers and business leaders a quick and simple way of thinking about growth. It has also been referred as the Product/Market Expansion Grid, the matrix (see Figure 1 below). • 4. Essay on Cultural Anthropology and Ethnographic Fieldwork Cultural Anthropology and Ethnographic Fieldwork James P. Spradley (1979) described the insider approach to understanding culture as a quiet revolution among the social sciences (p. iii). Cultural anthropologists, however, have long emphasized the importance of the ethnographic method, an approach to understanding a different culture through participation, observation, the use of key informants, and interviews. Cultural anthropologists have employed the ethnographic method in an attempt to surmount several formidable cultural questions: How can one understand another s culture? How can culture be qualitatively and quantitatively assessed? What aspects of a culture make it unique and which connect it to other cultures? If ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This interpretation must make meaning from the culture in the same way that natives draw meaning. According to Spradley (1979), the structural components of cultural meaning come from what people say, what they do, and what artifacts they use (p. 9). In anthropological field work, he or she attempts to observe and document these cultural aspects. In addition, and more importantly, the anthropologist must then, as accurately as possible, make inferences which parallel those of the natives. The grandiose task of wearing another s cultural skin understandably comes with a host of opinions on how such a job can be accomplished. Anthropologists have long argued about the accuracy of ethnographies (Levinson Ember, 1996, pp. 419 21). Much of the discussion stems from the assumption that some cultural aspects are ineffable and subconscious. Can an anthropologist approach his subject, as Spradley argues, with a conscious attitude of almost complete ignorance ? Is it possible to consciously withhold one s own cultural interpretations while attempting to study that very thing in another culture? (Spradley, 1979, p. 4 Levinson Ember, 1996, pp. 419 21). Anthropologist Robert M. Keesing, in his essay Not a Real Fish: The Ethnographer as Insider Outsider, (1992) deals candidly with the problems of fully becoming an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Las Frc Colombia Ending a big problem can be one of the most relaxing things that can ever happen, but when a bigger problem arises, then it s absolutely one of the worst things a human or a country can ever withstand. In the 1990 s, the country of Colombia was suffering with a war on drugs. There was a lot of pandemonium on the streets of big cities like Bogota and Medellin. After the person who started the war on drugs got killed, Pablo Escobar, it seemed like peace was imminent again, but there was another problem the Colombians didn t know about; it was called Las FARC. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although there is a lack of organizations involved in this fight, the United States was involved to stop this group because they don t want Las FARC to overthrow the government and spread communist ideas. The involvement of the United States in the war on las FARC has been tremendous. The United States has sent troops and money to the Colombian government because they don t the rebels to win; plus the United States and Colombia have really peaceful relations. Also the country of Colombia itself has attempted to to support rural redevelopment in Colombia, and that could potentially cost at least 45 million dollars over ten years (CFR). A lot of Colombia s budget has been used to stop and have peace with Las FARC; many damages and also military debt had to be paid because of the fighting with them. Also the victims have also been given reparations from the suffering that they had in FARC prisons, people would starve to death or just get shot. One of the biggest issues of this topic though is that not many Americans know about this issue that has been going on in Colombia for the past fifty years. The richest rebel group in the world is not known by many Americans. One thing Americans should is mention this problem in literature because people need to know about this issue. Have you ever heard of six flags, it is a water park that has all type of slides, roller coasters and more? Well six flags are one of the field trips that I would want to go to. ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT ENERGY IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS Abstract This report discusses the role of energy in sustainable development goals. The report highlights on the target set by the United Nations and the time frame given to achieve these targets. Some of the challenges hindering sustainable development especially in the poor sections of the population and measures needed to be taken have also been identified. It concludes with the primary principles and basic practices needed to be taken in order to achieve the sustainable development goals. Introduction Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs (Brundtland report, 1987). This really emphasizes on the needs and the idea of limitations often related to the world s poor on how to bridge the gap of needs and the environment (including climate) now and the future. Basically, it elaborates on the equality of the life between the rich and the poor (that is, how the poor can be on par with the rich) in terms of standard of living. Also, it draws attention to the use of green technologies in order to build a better and brighter future. I believe this cannot be achieved easily, therefore the possibility of achieving this can be very low, but with strong initiatives and plans, the bridge can be narrowed. James Galbraith s Time To Ditch The U In his article Time to Ditch the NAIRU, published in the Journal of Economic Perspective, James Galbraith has addressed an alternative view on the controversial NAIRU, or the natural rate of unemployment. His argument is well presented in four parts: the non compelling theoretical cases for the natural rate; the mismeasure of the NAIRU and the shortcomings of the short run Phillips curve; professional disagreements and discussions on the location of the NAIRU, and lastly, costs and benefits of using the natural rate of unemployment a policy guide tool. This response paper will critically analyze Galbraith s view and provide a personal viewpoint on the main ideas related to the NAIRU, in context particularly presented by Galbraith and the world s economy in general. In Unsolved Theoretical Questions , Galbraith suggests the current and past debates about the concept of the NAIRU, and then raises several concerns about the validity and usefulness of the natural rate. He wrote, The career bandwagon seems to suggest that shortcuts are available to students that lead directly to high paying jobs leaving out frills like learning how to write and speak well, how to understand the nuances of literacy texts and scientific concepts, how to collaborate with others on research What he means by that is there is no shortcuts to a high paying jobs. He also implies that liberal arts education is the only right way to prepare an individual for their future career because it equips ones with the abilities to write and speak formally, and understandings on scientific matter or how to cooperate with other people for your work, etc. However, I do not think he can deny the fact that the starting salary for a liberal arts graduate is approximately $32,500 while for an engineer is $75,000, (http://www.mtu.edu/engineering/outreach/welcome/salary/). For instant, what can a person possibly do with his philosophy degree right after graduating? He will probably have to go for more schooling before he can find a high paying job at some big firms or he will have to struggle a lot before he can open his philosophy shop or publish his book. A few things that have become important to me or have interest me in my life are Devan and books. Spending time with Devan makes me feel comfortable and that I can be myself instead of acting fake to be important like I have to be around other people. Devan realized who I really was instead of who I was trying to act like. I have tried to enjoy playing sports to be like everyone else, but I have always been more interested in books that I can get lost in. Reading books makes me enjoy life and enjoy seeing how other people view the world even if the story is written as fiction. When reading any story that interest me, I love to read on what the author s thoughts were on how they came up with while writing the story. When I get a new book that interest me, I will get lost in the way the story is told and will not realize what time or day it is. I will never put the book down if i fall in love with the story that the author is telling. These two things have become the most important things in my life and always will be because of the enjoyment I get. • 18. Hurricane Emily Research Paper Hurricane Emily Hurricane Emily was a powerful tropical cyclone that wreaked havoc across the Caribbean Sea to Mexico. It broke the record for being the strongest hurricane formed, just days after Hurricane Dennis had done so. The storm formed on July 10th, 2005 in the centre of the Atlantic Ocean. It then passed over the Windward Islands on the 14th, before traveling west northwest and slowly intensified over the Caribbean until it hit its peak as a Category 5 hurricane on July 16th. This made it the first category 5 hurricane of the year. The storm travelled over the Yucatan Peninsula as a Category 4, and Emily hit the Gulf of Mexico and Tamaupullas in the next few days. On July 20th, the storm dissipated within 24 hours. The scientific name for this type of storm is a tropical cyclone ; however, when formed over the Atlantic Ocean or the Eastern Pacific Ocean, they are called hurricanes. Hurricanes are formed in intense low pressure areas in these oceans. The fuel of a hurricane is water vapour from the surface of the ocean. This water vapour condenses to form clouds and rain which, in turn, warms the surrounding air. When there is little wind shear over the ocean (this is what usually takes the heat away), the heat will build up and cause pressure to form. This causes wind to spiral in on ... • 20. The Biological Of Sexual Orientation The Biological Correlates of Sexual Orientation Prof. Brett Beston PSY354 University of Toronto at Mississauga Adla Begeta 998184539 Date submitted: Sunday, August 10, 2014 The topic of sexual orientation is both sensitive and controversial. This is evident in events, such as the Pride Parade, and also in media, where authoritative figures preach against it and speak of its sinful nature (Emmanuele, Blanchard, Camperio Ciani, Bancroft, 2010). Sexual orientation exists in various forms, it differs in the way it is viewed by different cultures, and researchers propose different perspectives to explain the emergence of an individual s sexual orientation. In the discourse of sexual orientation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A pattern emerges where the scholarly literature exploring this topic is largely focused on males. Reason being is that it appears that males are the sex who are predominantly homosexual in their orientation (LeVay Baldwin, 2012). However, the sensitivity within the discourse of sexual orientation arises when it is debated upon whether one s sexual preference is innate at birth, hence a force of nature or biology, or if it is a result of culture, nurture or environmental factors (Emmanuele et al., 2010). Furthermore, an experimental design will be proposed to further examine this topic. Comparing the three chosen studies, it is evident that a biological and endocrinological perspective does account for sexual orientation (Kraemer et al., 2006; Manning et al., 2007; Miller et al., 2008). Of the studies that currently exist on this topic, data shows that prenatal testosterone levels are indicative of sexual orientation (Kraemer et al., 2006; Manning et al., 2007; Miller et al., 2008). This paper addresses a topic that is relevant in today s society; a topic that has, for the most part, been written off as having any scientific roots (Emmanuele et al., 2010). This paper counters that belief and in reading this essay, it will be evident that biology and endocrinology have a much stronger influence on sexual orientation than previously thought. In light of the situation mentioned above, FPL has to ensure that it has the resources available to meet future competition where one of the determinants of winning or retaining new business may be price. Hence, its dividend payout policy must be modified to account for these industry changes. c. How should FPL choose between dividends and share repurchases as alternative modes of payment? The Modigliani Miller clearly postulates that the dividend policy is irrelevant. The value of the assets of FPL should be independent of the financial structure of the firm. Also, the choice of dividend payments or share repurchases should not influence the share price as both methods are ways to distribute cash to the shareholders. However, this is true only in the Modigliani Miller world where there are no costs related to taxes or financial distress. • 24. Understanding The Meaning Of Love What is love? Many people do not know the meaning of love, they think that it is what we feel but it s what we do that demonstrates love. (Deem, 2011). There are many ways to express your love to your family or friends but there is one true love, God. I will be discussing the biblical meaning of love and what God wants us to apply to ourselves to have healthy relationships by representing his love to others. There are four types of love which are Forge, Eros, Philia and Agape. (Wellman, 2014) Forge is family love as in love for your parents, siblings, and children. (Wellman, 2014). According to Merriam Webster the meaning is Parental affection; the instinctive affection which animals have for their young. Parents manifest this love by providing their family members with shelter, protection, and financial needs. Older brothers demonstrate this love by providing support and protection to their younger siblings especially if they are being bullied or mistreated. In Proverbs 31:15 17 you see the love of a mother towards her whole household, it states She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. (NLT). Tradition is a way that Native Americans have been able to coexist for so long, and is also a way that natives have found stability from tribe to tribe. As Native Americans graciously welcomed colonists into the new world years ago, they did not receive equal respect in return. The colonists invading America gave natives a harsh ultimatum, to either leave America, or conform to the new society that would soon destroy the teepees and farmlands the natives considered home. The oppression from the colonists, gave natives the incentive that being any race other than white was not something to be proud of. Through the use of narrative writing done by Native Americans, readers are given an opportunity to see history through the lens of the oppressed. This further gives an opportunity for readers understand the very situation that many people who may even look like them once had to deal with. This allows us to not only draw specific conclusions about this period of oppression, but it displays how easy it can be for people to fall into very specific standards, and conform to societies that do not protect their values, and lives.
