Animal Welfare Act Of 1966. Before 1966, Almost Of Animals,
Animal Welfare Act of 1966 Before 1966, almost of animals, family pets as well, were being taken
away by thieves and burglars because a lot of laboratories were paying others to do the messed up
dirty work all so they could test on them with all sorts of chemicals. Between 1908 1973, President
Lyndon B. Johnson saw this and the heard cries and sorrow of the people and didn t agree with what
was going on. On August 24th, 1966 President Johnson created a nameless act in order to ensure and
protect the animals that were being wrongfully used in an inhumane way. This act ensured the safety
of animals by enforcing all companies to have licenses for their practices . The animal that was put on
that list are dogs, cats, hamsters, monkeys, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When 1990 came it had required public and private pounds and shelters, and research facilities
licensed by the Department of Agriculture, to hold and care for any animals that were brought in until
the limit of five days was passed and/or the owner hadn t come for them within that five day period or
adopted. In 2002, just like the 1996 amendment which prohibited animal fighting was updated to give
more benefits to the animals that were brought to this situation. Just like 1996, where it was against
the law to knowingly sell, trade or use an animal that was protected by the law to be in any kind of
animal fight. A little later down the road, a group of animal activists sued to overturn the regulations

Washington D.C. four years later, it was overturned once more which led to another lawsuit from more
people who were wanting the animals protected further without questions. Once the Department of
Agriculture had lost, they came to an agreement of revising the rules and regulations about the animals
in question. In any event, the secretary s concern with the costs of policing the treatment of birds, rats,
and mice was viewed that the Agriculture officials lobbied in support of cutting the

Oral History Interview
The individual I chose to interview for my oral history project was actually the Vice Principal of my
school and his name was Mr. Clair. During our interview, he relayed to me the experiences he went
during the Civil Rights Movement. What I was told during this interview was surprisingly different
from what I was expecting, I was expecting to hear stories about how my interviewee witnessed many
people of color being abused and segregated to the extremes. However, what I heard was a bit calmer
than that and surprisingly, did not involve much violence at all. Mr. Clair told me about how he was
only a young boy, around ten years old when the civil rights movement began to take off and in his
school the main reaction he had was utter dismay. It was shocking and ... Show more content on

This was amusing to me because the Civil Rights Movement was having a direct impact on his life.
This forced him to make the choice to either support this movement that was occurring in his school
or just go on with his life. Being the young boy he was, my interviewee didn t really have a reaction to
this decision, he did what his parents decided to do. That isn t surprising because most children
usually follow their parents, however; what made this so interesting was the fact that his parents made
the decision not to do anything about the actions going on around them. If I was put in this same
situation I would probably do the same thing my interviewee did, just stay neutral and don t actively
participate in any actions against the Civil Rights Movement. I would do this because I am a person
who tends to mind my own business unless something actually has an effect on my life. In this
situation, having colored kids leave my school isn t really something that would hinder the quality of
my education, therefor; causing me to do

Walt Disney s Intellectual Property Rights
Sophie s business name needed to be unique enough where it doesn t actually infringe on any of Walt
Disney s intellectual property rights. Even though he name is not exactly Walt Disney and the title of
her business is DisneyHartford , the fact that she still included Disney in her title is a problem. When
you think of the word Disney , you automatically think of children s entertainment; as a result, this
goes to show that consumers typically link the word Disney to a specific origin. Since the purpose of
her business was to make an entertainment center for children, she is violating their rights because
both companies are too similar. Consumers will assume that her entertainment center is affiliated with
the Disney Brand when it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If there is a breach in the contract where the Powerball did not give him his percentage, then this

because she was not a part of the contract initially.
Property refers to tangible and intangible items. Ownership is a concept that means the right to
exclude others (pg. 233). Goodwin secretly owning properly without disclosing this information with
other people or students to the least is a little sketchy. However, I guess if they legally do own this real
property than Sophie has to give it back to them. The legal system protects the right to own, acquire,
protect and divest of real and personal property (pg. 235). If they have never sold this properly it still
belongs to Goodwin. It was her fault that she purchased this property without researching it. Sophia is
also at fault for purchasing real property without getting a title that the properly belonged to her.
Ownership rights are transferred by titles (pg. 245) Even though the property seemed abandoned; no
one technically relinquished new ownership towards it so it still belonged to Goodwin. Sophia got
herself involved with a scammer. Sophia should contact Attorney Sleaze and sue him for selling her
property that was already owned by somebody else. If she gives back the property to Goodwin, she
can also sue him for her money back. She paid $2 million dollars for legal fees so it was his job and

Assess The Main Features Of Communism
Communism is defined as a social, political, and economic ideology with a goal to establish a
communist society. There is an absence of social status, class, and money. In essence everyone is one
and the same. The government controls the majority if not all of the commodities, economics,
education, etc. The primary element that enables a change in the economic system is social ownership.
There are two major social classes; the first being the working class. This class works to survive and
they are the majority of the population. The capitalist class are the minority, however they profit from
employing the proletariat through private ownership. However communism aims to replace private
ownerships, and private properties. They want public ownership,

South Beach Diet Essay
History of South Beach Diet The South Beach Diet is a diet plan designed by cardiologist Arthur
Agatston and dietician Marie Almon. In 1995, Dr. Agatston developed a diet to prevent heart disease
for his cardiac and diabetes patients. According to the South Beach Diet website, Agatstaion knew that
a low fat diet would reduce cholesterol and prevent heart disease, but patients had a hard time sticking
to the diet. Agatson wanted to find out the reason why his patients had a hard time sticking to the low
fat diet. So he turned to David Jenkins, who was working with insulin resistance. After researching
with Jenkins, Agatstion found out the reason why the low fat diets was not working because patients

Diet and 30 patients on the American Heart Association diet. The study was conducted for 12 weeks
and the South Beach Diet showed better results. After 12 weeks, those on his program lost an average
of 13.6 pounds, almost twice that lost by those in the other group. They also had a greater reduction in
belly fat (the telltale hip to waist ratio with its implicit warning of heart risk), improved blood
chemistry and a lower dropout rate one instead of five. (Hager,2004, pg#)Agatstaton s diet became
popular through local television station picked up the story. After that it was history and Agatstaton

The Green Mooray Eel Skin
A green moray eel is a type of eel that tends to usually find its home in either collections of rocks or
coral reefs. Here, it is able to find all that it needs to stay alive an thrive in the angelic ocean world.
Despite being referred to as the green moray eel, this eel s skin is actually a shade of darker brown,
almost grey. However, due to the thick coat of yellow mucus surrounding the bland skin, the eel itself
appears a bright green and yellow color. While simultaneously giving the eel this unnaturally bright
color, the mucus also protects the eels from either harmful bacteria or parasites. Their bodies are
laterally compressed which gives the appearance of then being fattened on their sides (Dewey, Wilson,
Fraser, Animal Diversity Web ).

Positive Impact On Electric Cars
My research question that I would like to further explore is what is holding back electric car sales?
Why have we not gone entirely electric, especially with all the benefits toward the environment? I
believe this question should be explored because whether it be electric cars or cars with an internal
combustion engine, cars are a vital form of transportation and in our everyday life. People use cars as
a form of transportation to get to work, to drive their kids to schools, to drive themselves to the
grocery store, to see loved ones and families. With all this driving, it is important to know the impact
it has on our environment. So far, internal combustion engines have shown negative harmful impacts
towards the environment in regards to carbon dioxide emissions. These carbon dioxide emissions have
shown a positive correlation with global warming which is an important ongoing issue today. It is
important to reduce our carbon footprint in order to preserve the planet for future generations.
Bringing more awareness as to why electric vehicles have a positive impact on our environment is
important because not many people are informed.
Through my research question, I hope to learn whether electric vehicles make a big enough difference
to help our environment. I also want to explore why we have not gone entirely electric and specific
reasons as to why people are afraid of change. People find switching to an electric vehicle to be a huge
lifestyle change. In Graham Rowe s

Why The Touchdown Dance Goes Wrong
Touchdown Dance Goes Wrong When an NFL football player scores a touchdown many different
things may happen. In Green Bay, players may take the Lambeau Leap and jump up into the stands to
be congratulated by the fans. Others do special dances, hand the ball off to a fan, or perform the
traditional spike where the ball is thrown into the ground as hard as possible. The Pittsburgh Steelers
played the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Wide receiver Antonio Brown was called to field a punt by
the Colts and returned it 71 yards for a touchdown. What happened next in Brown s mind is anyone s
guess. He did not spike the ball, he did not hand off the ball to a fan, he did not leap into the stands, he
did not pretend to tear open his shirt like

U-Boat Tactics in World War II
In September of 2012, Germany s last surviving U Boat captain who helped sink dozens of U.S. and
British ships has been honoured by the modern military in his homeland seven decades after he was
twice decorated by Hitler for bravery. It may seem grim to honor a person who referred to American
shooting season as his hobby during the war, but it is important to recognize the contributions of U
Boat commanders like Reinhard Hardegen. German submarines had been an engineering vision since
1465, and preliminary German submarines were being manufactured as early as 1850 with Sebastian
Wilhelm Valentin Bauer s Brandtaucher design. The Brandtaucher was much improved upon during
the Industrial Age, which represented the peak of Kaiserdom in Germany. With its financial coffers
relatively full, the Kaiser was able to fund designs such as those by Vogel in 1870 and Howaldt in
1891. However, Gustav Zede designed the Forelle (named after the much beloved German trout fish)
and it was the first truly successful German submarine and was launched in 1903. From these early
submarines evolved one of the world s most evocative killing machines, the U Boats. Leading up to
the development of the U Boat were a series of military escalations, culminating in the start of the
Great War. Throughout modern German history, military technologies like the U Boat have been
integral to strategic planning. Even when decisions regarding U Boat development and deployment
seemed senseless, as it

Conduct Assessments
Ways to conduct assessments Assessment in counseling should be viewed not as a one time prediction
activity but rather as continuous throughout the counseling process (Juhnke, 1995). In the future I
would conduct assessments for each of my clients before service is conducted to gather information
about them and when there have been any types of disruption with the client while receiving services.
Conducting assessments would help to determine what goals to set and other resources that the client
may need to assist with their problem. With the increase problem with people being killed by law
enforcement or being a member of someone that had been killed. It is a major concern to me so, I
would assess the people involve to evaluate their mental status and possibly Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD). We don t know what someone have experienced or been through as a victim so, as
counselor assesses them more in detail with the necessary tools (assessments) and individual
counseling is very beneficial. Skills with conducting assessments ... Show more content on

Rhythm And Blues Research Paper
In 1946, the American entertainment industry grew at a substantially rapid rate. The cause of this was
the Post World War II economic expansion. The Postwar era was filled with many different genres,
and talented artists. It is argued to be one the most multifaceted, and dynamic eras in the history of
American popular music. In the midst of the complexity, two women emerged into the genre of
Rhythm and Blues. Ruth Brown, also known as Miss Rhythm, was one of the biggest stars in the
postwar era. She started at a young age, singing in two sectors of black church tradition. She sang in
the AME (African Methodist) and Baptist denominations. I attended a fundraiser at the Redeemer
Fellowship church in Kansas City and listened as the choir sang their gospels. The song Mama, He
Treats Your Daughter Mean, was Ruth Brown s biggest hit and it does not sound similar to any of the
gospels sang in the church. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

married him, only to find out he had previously been married to another woman. However, since her
last name had been commonly known as brown, she decided it was best to stick with it. At this point,
Brown was unwelcome at her family home. She struggled to find work living in Detroit and
eventually being stranded in Washington D.C. She then was offered regular employment at Crystal

Example Of Communicative Language Teaching
Have you chosen one of the best ways to teach your students today? Which one did you prepare? It
will be better to choose Communicative Language Teaching as one of the approaches in teaching
English. Communicative Language Teaching or CLT derived from communicative competence
(Hymes, 1971). It is a teaching approach which has goals, teachers and learners roles, process of
learning language, and also can facilitate learning activities (Richards, 2006). CLT underlines
interaction between students. In the Communicative Language Teaching classroom, the teacher has a
role as a facilitator who will only facilitate the learning process, not become a model. Moreover, the
students are going to be more active in learning the language (Richards, 2006). Thus, CLT is a ...

When they talk and the teacher find some mistakes in their pronunciation, it will be fixed by the
teacher. Like, when the students will do an activity in the class then the teacher apply a dialogue or
role play. When they are talking, they must pay attention for the pronunciation. But, if the students
pronunciation is unclear, the teacher can fix it directly. Briefly, by increasing speaking ability, students
vocabulary, non verbal expertise and fluency in pronunciation will be better. To conclude,
Communicative Language Teaching is a teaching method that highlights interaction of students. It is a
good way to be applied for students because it can build cooperation among students by working
together in group or pair which can make them share their ideas to each other and show their critical
thinking. CLT also can facilitate activities in class which are interesting and fun such as the role play
activities, interviews, and games which need teacher s creativity in the process of learning. Indeed, it
can help the students to develop their speaking aptitude, so their fluency in pronunciation, vocabulary,
and non verbal skill are going to be

Taking a Look at Website Optimization
Website optimisation plays an important role in web development and maintenance. In this article, we
look at some basic website optimisation tricks one can use to help increase a site s search engine
ranking and increasing the traffic. Meta Description, Meta Keywords and Title tags are still used by
some search engines in order to catalog and rank Web pages. So, at the top of each page, place a title
tag to identify the document s overall content. It is also important to write an accurate Meta
description tag. Also, add a Meta keyword tag to help reveal the most important keywords for each
page to search engines. To make your website perform well with search engines, use keywords on the
Home and other essential pages. It s important to use these keywords strategically throughout the
website s content. Try and focus on areas that register well with search engines (this also includes bold
headings). Embed keywords in the anchor text and try to use keywords to create a common theme or
topic throughout the content on your website. The reason for this is that search engines look for a
theme on a website to produce more relevant results. If you re not sure what keywords to use,
softwares like WordTracker can help. Remember that keyword proximity is also crucial for website
optimisation. So make sure to place your keywords as close to each other as possible, but also make
sure that the content remains clear. Most importantly, ensure an apt keyword weight or density. This

investigators to try to find leads. It turns out they were also searching for a serial arsonist who was
setting fires to cars in the military parking lot. A surveillance tape showed Sweatt leaving the scene in
his car. Police were able to track down Sweatt through his license plate. Sweatt was questioned by
police, providing a DNA sample of his own. When Thomas Sweatt learned about the other DNA
evidence the police had against him, he confessed to the fires some dating back 25 years

Background: History, Products and Profitability indicators
The Toy Industry of traditional toys has been around since the fourteenth century and has evolved into
a multi billion dollar industry. The Toy Industry big contenders are Mattel (U.S), Hasbro (U.S), and
LEGO (Denmark). Products of this industry include: action figure/accessories/role play, building sets,
dolls, games/puzzles, outdoor and sport toys, infant/preschool, and all other toys.
The early toy industry began in Nuremberg and Groeden Valley, Germany in the fourteenth century
where craftsmen carved dolls and animal figures out of wood for youth children to play with. Today,

in gross sales. In reference to the chart 1 Barbie brought in $1.2753 billion in 2012 compared to
$1.2028 billion in 2013. The 12% decrease in Barbie gross sales reflected product innovation not
being strong enough to drive growth, increased competition within the doll category, along with lower
effectiveness of in store, commercial, and promotional activities (Mattel).
In 1998 Mattel acquired the well established company American Girl Dolls. American Girl bucked
retail trends, expanding its brick and mortar footprint while still achieving incredibly high online sales
numbers the highest in the brand s history. New store economics are strong, nearly doubling the
revenue in a given market and bringing in between 50 60% new customers to the brand (Mattel Toys).
American Girl Dolls is in the top 4 doll franchises in the world.
During the 18th century tin army toys for boys emerged along with miniature kitchen sets for girls.
The toys during the 18th century were very gender based; masculine toys for boys, while the girls had
toys to encourage household duties and nurturing. Peddlers sold these toys to middle class families.
Today, army and kitchen toys are still very prevalent in the market. In 1963, the most sophisticated
kitchen toy set appeared in the

The Bias Of The Media
There is no getting away from the fact that the media is biased it is just which side of the aisle that
they are biased to that I believe is the main question that needs to be answered. The progressive liberal
side screams bias whiles the conservative army also scream bias so is there really bias in the media. I
will take a look at the mass media most specifically cable news and syndicated talk shows to prove the
point that bias in the media is more a myth that the leaders of each side preaches so that their
followers believe that this bias exist. Not to be confused media bias does exist but also there is barely
any objective source left such that once you start reading through the lines you realize the myth that I
am talking about.
In as much as we might try our best to ignore it, communication among people always happens in a
context. A statement made in one s presence whiles an event is happening will convey a different
understanding than that same statement made away from event. That is why we can make statements
like you should have been there to understand this situation once the context is taken away the
message is not the same. Also all communication needs a medium for it to be carried along and when
individuals and groups are communicating one should not overlook how they are situated historically,
politically, economically, and socially. This state of affairs is neither bad nor good. It simply is. Bias is
a minor word that categorizes the communal influences of

Oh Ms Believer Analysis
Some people listen to songs because they like the how the song sounds to them, and completely ignore
the lyrics, while others listen to the lyrics of the song, rather than simply hearing the catchy beat. In
Oh Ms Believer by Twenty One Pilots, someone is trying to help his or her loved one through the
complications of depression. There are many different hidden meanings in the lyrics of the song Oh
Ms Believer , such as in the lyrics Oh, Miss Believer, my pretty sleeper/Your twisted mind is like
snow on the road (1 2). The song opens with a simile that means her thoughts cover up who she truly
is, or that her thoughts could be dangerous, perhaps life threatening, because when snow covers a road
it becomes hidden, slippery, and dangerous to drive on. Another part of the song s lyrics Your shaking
shoulders prove that it s colder/Inside your head than the winter of dead (3 4), show that the subject in
the song is probably crying because her shoulders are shaking, and also that her thoughts are
depressing and likely dangerous. The entire song relies heavily on the idea of cold, such as winter and
snow, for in the lyrics of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These lyrics express that the speaker in the song is trying to help and love someone, but the other
person does not believe they deserve it, and does not believe it is true because of her depression.
Another line of lyrics in the song, Oh, Miss Believer, my pretty weeper/Your twisted thoughts are like
snow on the rooftops (15 16), represents that the woman s thoughts are weighing her down and hiding
who she truly is. This song focuses on depression and how it warps one s mind, hides one s true
personality, physically and mentally weighs one down, and how ones does not believe the
compliments one receives because one does not believe they could be

Trap Shootings
Trap Shooting Most people don t know this, but a lot of schools have a trap team. BGM has a trap
shooting team called BGM Shotgunners, or BGM Trap Team. Beginners might want to get used to
shooting guns first. They also will want to figure out which brand or kind of gun you like. Other
experienced shooters will just want to buy the gun of their choice. There are trap guns just for trap, or
you can get a 20 gauge or 12 gauge shotgun. The only difference between the two is the recoil or kick
and that one is also heavier than the other because it is more powerful. They also have different types
of glasses for this sport. They each are for a different kind of day. For example the yellow ones are for
a darker cloudier day. Trap shooting originated from England and has been a largely growing and
popular sport ever since. Even though most schools don t have a trap range or trap field, they may use
a range that is open to public schools for shooting practice. Trap shooting is the oldest shotgun
shooting sport in America. People used to use real pigeons for trap shooting. Back in 1880, George
Ligowsky invented the clay target. Later in 1885, the first national trap shooting ... Show more content

trap houses. The one on the right is called the low house and the right one is called the high house .

targets start about 3 feet off the ground and move to the shooter s left. A skeet field has eight positions,
almost in the middle of the two trap houses. Some positions offer single targets, others doubled. There
are sixteen single targets, one from each position. The first missed target is repeated, it is called the

Calamity In Edgar Allen Poe s The Raven
In 19th century America, the dark romantic stories led people to explore the dark and grotesque
thoughts of the human mind. Abandonment, the loss of loved ones whom are so dear, and loneliness
can all lead people to be in a some state of insanity. In the poem, The Raven , Edgar Allen Poe writes
of a man whom is suffering mental instability after the tragic loss of his lover, Lenore. A raven flies
into his chamber door and the narrator suspects the bird s purpose is to evoke him of Lenore and to
further his growing insanity. In stanza 14, the use of allusions and the diction Poe utilizes helps
demonstrate tremendous calamity may lead to madness.
To start off, Poe s use of allusions describe the process of the narrator s thoughts becoming more

Argumentative Essay On Media And Religion
Modern times have changed lots of ways that we look at past institutions in America. During the 21st
century, media and religion seem to play an important part in our society. Furthermore, the
combination of the two has created a dynamic series of positives and negatives. People might argue
that we have reached a time in our life where religion isn t important to follow or take note of.
However, time and time again it has been proving that religion and the media have an impact on
people s feelings towards a group and understanding of the group s theology. The famous thinker and
poet, W.E.B Du Bois wrote in his novel, The Souls of the Black Folk piece, Being a problem is a
strange experience (Bayoumi, page 2). This serves as an interesting induction to the problem of media/
religion and Islam. Du bois, a pre civil rights leader, was discussing the idea of being a problem in a
society that should be home. The government, police, and citizens of America are judging and creating
standpoints off sources of media that are displaying stereotypes and racist assumptions against the
next group. Therefore, the struggle for peace, identity, and a place called home in rooted in the Islamic
people. Currently in the media, it has been acceptable to have the opinion of Islamphobia or even
xenophobia. We live in an age of time where there is a striking sophistication in technology. With a
click of a button and a few words typed, one can access many facts and opinions on different groups
of people. Unfortunately, the inequities and prejudices that have affected the human race still continue
to thrive in current times. People are failing to change their look on people in this Great country we
live in. Especially during this new political climate, the untold stories of human suffering still tend to
exist. Historically, America has struggled with race relations and the full acknowledgement of other
people. According to Professor Michael Bartone at Central Connecticut State University, unless you
are a cisgender wealthy White Christian male, you have felt oppression, but maybe unaware because
one has been realized to believe they have power and are not oppressed or they refuse to believe they
have been oppressed because

Rosewood
#### very poorly written ##### # Started with racial and violence against African Americans.
Historical the things the whites did was violence against the black s communities. If anybody was
color the whites did not care what age they were in there eyes a nigger was a nigger so they would kill
them for no reason. It begins in a little community called Rosewood it had blacks and whites in it but
majority was blacks. A mob of 40 150 whites comes to Rosewood and raise hell just to mess with the
colors. All because of a lady name Fannie Taylor. She was a wife to her husband name James, she also
had workers named Aunt Sarah Carrier, and her granddaughter they both was African Americans. Aunt
Sarah had a big family to, everybody loved Aunt Sarah because she was a good women, hardworking,
and even the whites loved her. Also there was a white man named Mr. Wright who own a store he was
basically making nigger. Mr. Wright was a married man with a family but he be having sex with his
worker and she is African American. He was for the blacks, there was a lot of violence going on a lot
of the blacks was not safe. In Florida and the south, the response of whites to the massive departure of
black resident was mixed (Rosewood Report,1993 p4). Fannie Taylor had a secret lover she would not
give her husband none because of her lover. Few hours later her lover came over after the husband left
and they started to have sex. After that situation was over the lover beat her than ran off.

Siddhartha Hero s Journey
Is it the goal, or is it the journey? Although this seems like a complicated question it is in fact simple,
as is the reason to why, there is no goal without the journey. Seen through almost all aspects of life the
journey is the true story, whereas the goal is just an ending point that is often altered or changed
completely. In the novel Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse the goal metamorphosizes after all of the
obstacles and trials the main protagonists underwent, into something different than what was
originally the main aim in his life. The two documentaries God Grew Tired of Us narrated by Nicole
Kidman and Dive! Trailer: Short Documentary On Dumpster Diving In The US is a documentary
filmed by Jeremy Seifert both emphasize that even if the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Showcasing that the journey of each human being is not as important as the final goal God had in
place when he first put people with each other on Earth (Ronblue99, 2008). In the Hitchhiker s Guide
to the Galaxy a short video based off the book series from Douglas Adams the people shown in the
clip spend their already ephemeral lives relying on the hope that one day the Supercomputer will
inform them what the meaning of life is. Centuries pass and they do not learn anything, never allowing
themselves to experience any of life s trials and victories because they are so absorbed in the need for
knowledge and nirvana they believe will be gained from the answer to The Question (warmandreal,
2010). In The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost the speaker is experiencing the vicissitudes of human
emotion as they stand at the fork in the forest, attempting to make the right choice to go down the
better path. This poem symbolizes how a person can have the goal in mind of getting to their
destination and therefore choose a path that they believe is better and claiming to desire to come again
in the future to find out what the other path held and stating that the path he choice was the least
traveled to justify the speaker s actions (Frost, 1916). This displays that when a person is occupied by
a set goal they could possibly miss vital lessons, visuals, opportunities, and experiences in life because
they do not have enough time to stray from their path long enough to learn or see anything that might
deter them (Frost,

The Nation State Is Dead
The Nation State is dead, long live the TNC . Critically assess the changing relationships between
TNC s and nation states.
Introduction
The inevitable growth of globalisation over the past few decades has gradually created the occurrence
we now know as the Trans national Corporation (TNCs) . This essay will aim to the highlight and
explain the situation in which nation states are continually being reformed by these TNCs.
Globalisation amp; the Role of Technology
Globalisation is the process of allowing goods, financial and investments markets to operate across
national borders due to deregulation, improved communications, infrastructure and technology.

An example of a comparison would be Ghana amp; the UK.
Ghana finds it very difficult to implement its fiscal policy as it does not have an appropriate
infrastructure for income tax analysis and collection. Most of the population work in an unofficial
industry which means they are paid in cash, this in turn means the government cannot keep accurate
records of the citizens and therefore cannot extract the right amount of income tax from the people
when implementing fiscal policy. This means the policy will be less effective. 6.
[Ghana Revenue Authority. (2011).]
On the other hand, the well built infrastructure in the UK allows for the government to accurately
identify and monitor the income of citizens allowing the government to collect the right amount of
taxes when altering fiscal policy. Nation states must also aim to provide public goods which cannot be
provided or allocated fairly through the market mechanism. These include physical and human
infrastructure such as roads, airports, harbours and education, laws and regulations. Those are the
performance goals of the state. Other objectives include locally rooted technology, to maintain
indigenous headquarters and to attract and retain business from TNCs. They will also aim to gain a
fair level of taxes from TNCs whilst still keeping them in the country and developing a highly skilled,
higly earninging and flexible labour force.

Mass Destruction Research Paper
While weapons of mass destruction may not pose as much of a threat as they did in the early 2000s,
they are still in use to this day, with the added possibility of more being created in the future. Should
we continue to neglect and ignore the imminent threat of WMDs, the world could cease to exist as we
know it. As someone who has participated in Model UN the past two years, I have been required to do
extensive research on weapons of mass destruction and their effects. As a result, I have learned quite a
bit about WMDs and how their coverage in the media has drastically decreased since the early 2000s,
yet their threat is still present. The height of media coverage on WMDs came in the early 2000s due to
the Iraq Disarmament Crisis. WMDs drew in massive media attention due to ... Show more content on

While nuclear weapons are universally known as a weapon of mass destruction, they are not the only
type. Other types of weapons of mass destruction include, radiological, chemical, and biological.
While nuclear weapons may be the most known, biological and chemical weapons are more
commonly used. To this day, chemical and biological weapons continue to be used in the Syrian Civil
War. Specifically, Chlorine and mustard gas have been used on all sides of the civil war, and in most
cases, despite the possible harm to civilians. The official website of the Federal Bureau of
Investigation defines WMDs as any explosive, incendiary, or poison gas weapon that is designed with
the intent to cause death or serious bodily injury. While some may claim that weapons of mass
destruction do not pose as much of a threat today as they did in the early 2000s, I disagree. While it
may be true that weapons of mass destruction do not receive the amount of media coverage they used
to, that does not decrease the threat they pose at all. The threat of nuclear and chemical and biological
and radiothermal warfare is still alive and

Before 1966, Almost Of Animals, Animal Welfare Act of 1966 Before 1966, almost of animals, family pets as well, were being taken away by thieves and burglars because a lot of laboratories were paying others to do the messed up dirty work all so they could test on them with all sorts of chemicals. Between 1908 1973, President Lyndon B. Johnson saw this and the heard cries and sorrow of the people and didn t agree with what was going on. On August 24th, 1966 President Johnson created a nameless act in order to ensure and protect the animals that were being wrongfully used in an inhumane way. This act ensured the safety of animals by enforcing all companies to have licenses for their practices . The animal that was put on that list are dogs, cats, hamsters, monkeys, ... • 3. Oral History Interview The individual I chose to interview for my oral history project was actually the Vice Principal of my school and his name was Mr. Clair. During our interview, he relayed to me the experiences he went during the Civil Rights Movement. What I was told during this interview was surprisingly different from what I was expecting, I was expecting to hear stories about how my interviewee witnessed many people of color being abused and segregated to the extremes. However, what I heard was a bit calmer than that and surprisingly, did not involve much violence at all. Mr. Clair told me about how he was only a young boy, around ten years old when the civil rights movement began to take off and in his school the main reaction he had was utter dismay. It was shocking and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This was amusing to me because the Civil Rights Movement was having a direct impact on his life. This forced him to make the choice to either support this movement that was occurring in his school or just go on with his life. Being the young boy he was, my interviewee didn t really have a reaction to this decision, he did what his parents decided to do. That isn t surprising because most children usually follow their parents, however; what made this so interesting was the fact that his parents made the decision not to do anything about the actions going on around them. If I was put in this same situation I would probably do the same thing my interviewee did, just stay neutral and don t actively participate in any actions against the Civil Rights Movement. I would do this because I am a person who tends to mind my own business unless something actually has an effect on my life. In this situation, having colored kids leave my school isn t really something that would hinder the quality of my education, therefor; causing me to do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Even though he name is not exactly Walt Disney and the title of her business is DisneyHartford , the fact that she still included Disney in her title is a problem. When you think of the word Disney , you automatically think of children s entertainment; as a result, this goes to show that consumers typically link the word Disney to a specific origin. Since the purpose of her business was to make an entertainment center for children, she is violating their rights because both companies are too similar. If there is a breach in the contract where the Powerball did not give him his percentage, then this should stay between the Mobile Station and Powerball. Sophie should not be involved in this situation because she was not a part of the contract initially. Property refers to tangible and intangible items. Ownership is a concept that means the right to exclude others (pg. 233). Goodwin secretly owning properly without disclosing this information with other people or students to the least is a little sketchy. However, I guess if they legally do own this real property than Sophie has to give it back to them. The legal system protects the right to own, acquire, protect and divest of real and personal property (pg. 235). If they have never sold this properly it still belongs to Goodwin. It was her fault that she purchased this property without researching it. Sophia is also at fault for purchasing real property without getting a title that the properly belonged to her. Ownership rights are transferred by titles (pg. 245) Even though the property seemed abandoned; no one technically relinquished new ownership towards it so it still belonged to Goodwin. Sophia got herself involved with a scammer. Sophia should contact Attorney Sleaze and sue him for selling her property that was already owned by somebody else. There is an absence of social status, class, and money. In essence everyone is one and the same. There are two major social classes; the first being the working class. This class works to survive and they are the majority of the population. In 1995, Dr. Agatston developed a diet to prevent heart disease for his cardiac and diabetes patients. According to the South Beach Diet website, Agatstaion knew that a low fat diet would reduce cholesterol and prevent heart disease, but patients had a hard time sticking to the diet. Agatson wanted to find out the reason why his patients had a hard time sticking to the low fat diet. So he turned to David Jenkins, who was working with insulin resistance. • 9. Positive Impact On Electric Cars My research question that I would like to further explore is what is holding back electric car sales? Why have we not gone entirely electric, especially with all the benefits toward the environment? I believe this question should be explored because whether it be electric cars or cars with an internal combustion engine, cars are a vital form of transportation and in our everyday life. People use cars as a form of transportation to get to work, to drive their kids to schools, to drive themselves to the grocery store, to see loved ones and families. With all this driving, it is important to know the impact it has on our environment. So far, internal combustion engines have shown negative harmful impacts towards the environment in regards to carbon dioxide emissions. These carbon dioxide emissions have shown a positive correlation with global warming which is an important ongoing issue today. It is important to reduce our carbon footprint in order to preserve the planet for future generations. Bringing more awareness as to why electric vehicles have a positive impact on our environment is important because not many people are informed. Through my research question, I hope to learn whether electric vehicles make a big enough difference to help our environment. I also want to explore why we have not gone entirely electric and specific reasons as to why people are afraid of change. People find switching to an electric vehicle to be a huge lifestyle change. • 11. U-Boat Tactics in World War II In September of 2012, Germany s last surviving U Boat captain who helped sink dozens of U.S. and British ships has been honoured by the modern military in his homeland seven decades after he was twice decorated by Hitler for bravery. It may seem grim to honor a person who referred to American shooting season as his hobby during the war, but it is important to recognize the contributions of U Boat commanders like Reinhard Hardegen. German submarines had been an engineering vision since 1465, and preliminary German submarines were being manufactured as early as 1850 with Sebastian Wilhelm Valentin Bauer s Brandtaucher design. The Brandtaucher was much improved upon during the Industrial Age, which represented the peak of Kaiserdom in Germany. With its financial coffers relatively full, the Kaiser was able to fund designs such as those by Vogel in 1870 and Howaldt in 1891. However, Gustav Zede designed the Forelle (named after the much beloved German trout fish) and it was the first truly successful German submarine and was launched in 1903. From these early submarines evolved one of the world s most evocative killing machines, the U Boats. Leading up to the development of the U Boat were a series of military escalations, culminating in the start of the Great War. Throughout modern German history, military technologies like the U Boat have been integral to strategic planning. Conduct Assessments Ways to conduct assessments Assessment in counseling should be viewed not as a one time prediction activity but rather as continuous throughout the counseling process (Juhnke, 1995). In the future I would conduct assessments for each of my clients before service is conducted to gather information about them and when there have been any types of disruption with the client while receiving services. The Postwar era was filled with many different genres, and talented artists. It is argued to be one the most multifaceted, and dynamic eras in the history of American popular music. In the midst of the complexity, two women emerged into the genre of Rhythm and Blues. Ruth Brown, also known as Miss Rhythm, was one of the biggest stars in the postwar era. She started at a young age, singing in two sectors of black church tradition. She sang in the AME (African Methodist) and Baptist denominations. It will be better to choose Communicative Language Teaching as one of the approaches in teaching English. Communicative Language Teaching or CLT derived from communicative competence (Hymes, 1971). It is a teaching approach which has goals, teachers and learners roles, process of learning language, and also can facilitate learning activities (Richards, 2006). CLT underlines interaction between students. In the Communicative Language Teaching classroom, the teacher has a role as a facilitator who will only facilitate the learning process, not become a model. But, if the students pronunciation is unclear, the teacher can fix it directly. Briefly, by increasing speaking ability, students vocabulary, non verbal expertise and fluency in pronunciation will be better. To conclude, Communicative Language Teaching is a teaching method that highlights interaction of students. It is a good way to be applied for students because it can build cooperation among students by working together in group or pair which can make them share their ideas to each other and show their critical thinking. CLT also can facilitate activities in class which are interesting and fun such as the role play activities, interviews, and games which need teacher s creativity in the process of learning. • 16. Taking a Look at Website Optimization Website optimisation plays an important role in web development and maintenance. In this article, we look at some basic website optimisation tricks one can use to help increase a site s search engine ranking and increasing the traffic. Meta Description, Meta Keywords and Title tags are still used by some search engines in order to catalog and rank Web pages. So, at the top of each page, place a title tag to identify the document s overall content. It is also important to write an accurate Meta description tag. Also, add a Meta keyword tag to help reveal the most important keywords for each page to search engines. To make your website perform well with search engines, use keywords on the Home and other essential pages. It s important to use these keywords strategically throughout the website s content. Try and focus on areas that register well with search engines (this also includes bold headings). Embed keywords in the anchor text and try to use keywords to create a common theme or topic throughout the content on your website. The reason for this is that search engines look for a theme on a website to produce more relevant results. If you re not sure what keywords to use, softwares like WordTracker can help. Remember that keyword proximity is also crucial for website optimisation. So make sure to place your keywords as close to each other as possible, but also make sure that the content remains clear. The Bias Of The Media There is no getting away from the fact that the media is biased it is just which side of the aisle that they are biased to that I believe is the main question that needs to be answered. The progressive liberal side screams bias whiles the conservative army also scream bias so is there really bias in the media. I will take a look at the mass media most specifically cable news and syndicated talk shows to prove the point that bias in the media is more a myth that the leaders of each side preaches so that their followers believe that this bias exist. Not to be confused media bias does exist but also there is barely any objective source left such that once you start reading through the lines you realize the myth that I am talking about. A statement made in one s presence whiles an event is happening will convey a different understanding than that same statement made away from event. That is why we can make statements like you should have been there to understand this situation once the context is taken away the message is not the same. Also all communication needs a medium for it to be carried along and when individuals and groups are communicating one should not overlook how they are situated historically, politically, economically, and socially. • 28. Argumentative Essay On Media And Religion Modern times have changed lots of ways that we look at past institutions in America. During the 21st century, media and religion seem to play an important part in our society. Furthermore, the combination of the two has created a dynamic series of positives and negatives. People might argue that we have reached a time in our life where religion isn t important to follow or take note of. However, time and time again it has been proving that religion and the media have an impact on people s feelings towards a group and understanding of the group s theology. The famous thinker and poet, W.E.B Du Bois wrote in his novel, The Souls of the Black Folk piece, Being a problem is a strange experience (Bayoumi, page 2). This serves as an interesting induction to the problem of media/ religion and Islam. Du bois, a pre civil rights leader, was discussing the idea of being a problem in a society that should be home. The government, police, and citizens of America are judging and creating standpoints off sources of media that are displaying stereotypes and racist assumptions against the next group. Therefore, the struggle for peace, identity, and a place called home in rooted in the Islamic people. Currently in the media, it has been acceptable to have the opinion of Islamphobia or even xenophobia. We live in an age of time where there is a striking sophistication in technology. With a click of a button and a few words typed, one can access many facts and opinions on different groups of people. Unfortunately, the inequities and prejudices that have affected the human race still continue to thrive in current times. People are failing to change their look on people in this Great country we live in. Especially during this new political climate, the untold stories of human suffering still tend to exist. Historically, America has struggled with race relations and the full acknowledgement of other people.
