1. How To Write A Easy Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "How To Write A Easy Essay" may seem paradoxical at first
glance. The challenge lies in the irony of attempting to simplify a process that inherently involves
expressing complex thoughts in a structured and coherent manner. Crafting an essay on
simplicity can be a bit like trying to catch a slippery fish – just when you think you have a
grasp on it, it wriggles away.
The task demands a delicate balance between providing clear, straightforward guidance on essay
writing and avoiding the trap of oversimplification. One must navigate through the intricacies of
language, structure, and argumentation while maintaining a tone that is accessible and easy to
comprehend. It's a challenge to avoid inadvertently complicating matters by introducing
unnecessary jargon or convoluted explanations.
Furthermore, the irony extends to the self-awareness required by the writer. While guiding
others on how to create an easy essay, the author must grapple with the complexity of the
writing process itself. The awareness of the inherent difficulty in simplifying the act of
simplification adds an extra layer of complexity to the task.
In essence, writing an essay on making essay writing easy demands a heightened level of
consciousness about the intricacies of language and communication. It's a bit like trying to teach
someone to ride a bike by describing the physics of balance – the challenge lies in distilling
the complexity into understandable, actionable steps.
To conclude, tackling the paradox of composing an essay on creating easy essays requires a
writer to dance on the tightrope between simplicity and depth. It's a task that demands a nuanced
understanding of the subject matter and a commitment to guiding others through the labyrinth of
essay writing with clarity and ease.

2. Essay on A Near Death Experience as a Religious Experience
A Near Death Experience as a Religious Experience
A near death experience can be defined as an event which occurs to people when
seemingly the bodily functions which confirm life have stopped, (i.e. clinically
dead). It often has an out of body element and may be interrupted in a religious or
non religious way. Most individuals who claim to have had a near death experience
say that there is a sense of indescribable bliss, ecstasy and peace. Similarly, a
religious experience is usually described as a non empirical occurrence, and may be
perceived as supernatural. It is a mental event which is undergone by an individual
and of which that person is aware. Recipients of a religious experience usually ...

Moreover, it could also be explained in physiological terms; where an individual
could have a body illness, or the brain being deprived of oxygen. These could
distort their image of the world leading to them not obtaining a real picture of what
s going on, and hence making them think they are undergoing a divine experience,
whether religious or near death. It could also be the result of affects in neurological
terms (involving the nervous system). The brain could be affected by nerves and
how they are working. This could also be in connection with common diseases such
as Parkinson s, Multiple Sclerosis and other, whereby they affect the individual s
brain and what they perceive.
I tried to tell my nurses what had happened when I woke up, but they told me not to
talk about it, that I was just imagining things. (An individual who claims to have had
a near death experience)
These experiences could also be psychological, where an individual feels a sense of
isolation. Dreams and delusions could also be a reason. For example, in times of
ultimate stress, it tightens sensitivity and stress release endorphins could cause
visions. A near death experience can be purely
3. Ira Hayes Essay
Ira Hayes was one of the flag raisers captured in the famous picture on Iwo Jima
hill. Ira Hayes was a Pima Indian born in Arizona on the twelfth of January 1932.
Ira dropped out of high school just before going into his junior year. He went on to
join the conservation corps for two months in 1942 ,after this he became a
carpenter. Ira Hayes enlisted in United States the Marine Corps Reserve in
Phoenix Arizona. He was soon assigned to parachute boot camp in Gillespie
Marine Corps Base in San Diego California. On December 2, he joined company B,
3rd Parachute Battalion, division special troops third Marine division, stationed in
California. Ira and his company were sent to Noumea, New Caledonia March
1943. Again, Ira Haye s and his unit was resigned to Company K, 3rd Parachute
Battalion, First Marine Parachute Regiment. They were sent to Vella Lavella to
occupy an island until December 3rd. They pushed north and fought the Japanese
for a full 15 days. Hayes was ordered to return to U.S soil after 11 months of
fighting the enemy. He was then reassigned to Company E, 2nd Battalion, 28th
Marines, 5th marine division in camp Pendleton, California. Hayes was sent to
Hawaii for more combat training, before he made land in Iwo Jima he was sent to
Europe to assist Iin allied efforts. He landed for d day combat, February 19, 1945.
He stayed and fought until the 26 of March. Afterwords he left for again Hawaii,
soon after he was assigned and fought in Iwo Jima. Because
4. The Day Of The Colonies
arrived in the colonies? Please name and describe at least five of the nine elements
listed by your textbook in a coherent paragraph. There are a multitude of common
elements of religion as practiced by the West Africans. Five of these elements
include community, ancestors, a high God, Tricksters, and animal sacrifice.
Community kept everyone together both physically and religiously, with no one
left alone. The West Africans also believed that their ancestors were still present
and watching over them. The ancestors were placed between God and the
community, and sometimes they held all the power. Furthermore, a high God had
developed everything in existence and the West Africans could not be without him.
There were also multiple tricksters that blended the boundaries of sacred and
ordinary. The chaos brought on by these tricksters, such as a hare or spider, would
lead to order. Another element is animal sacrifice, where these rituals were done to
praise the Gods. 2.After living in the colonies for a while, what faith did the majority
of blacks embrace and why? (See discussion on pages 142 and 143.) After living in
the colonies a while, the blacks became Christianized. With this, the majority of these
Christians embraced American Protestantism. In doing so, they created their own
freedom through this faith by altering it to fit their situation and beliefs. Within their
religion, they focused on the now. They realized that they were living in hardship and

5. An Essay About My Partner
There is a concept in Egypt called hamdullah, which means thank God. Even if you
are poor, you still thank God . It is a funny concept, to thank God when you are
poor. It creates a sort of tension within someone why would anyone want to be poor?
And more than that, why would anyone want to thank God for being poor? This is
one of the many ways that my partner, Nouran (Noonoo) Ghannam has portrayed to
me the tension that is so evident among young people in Cairo, Egypt. Noonoo is 22
years old, graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in
political science, and lives in Cairo with her family. She lived in Cairo for her entire
life, except when she had to move to other countries around the Middle East for her...

Even though her family may disagree with her political stances, she fosters
discussion with them and is able to make them think more critically and make
better informed decisions by majoring in political science. Second, I portray how
her family s tension influences her internally, by strongly aligning with Nasser but
voting for the Muslim Brotherhood in the 2012 Elections which she participated
in and thus helped move along the outcome. And third, I show how Noonoo tries
to separate her private life from her public life creating more tension in wanting to
be involved in politics, but not allowing herself to pursue a career in it as well.
Nouran has lived her whole live in Cairo, except for the years when she moved
around the Middle East to accommodate for her father s job. She studied at the
American University in Cairo and majored in political science. She still lives with
her family and loves going to the beach. It is important to recognize one of the first
leaders of Egypt, Nasser, when exploring the tensions that are prevalent in Egypt.
Nasser regained control of the Suez Canal, which was previously under the control of
[France and Britain] in 1956. Regaining the Suez Canal and nationalising it was a
mark of his power, and he was thereafter an influential figure in Egypt s history. As
stated before, Noonoo strongly aligns with Nasser because she is in awe of him for
standing up to the colonial powers and fighting for the
6. Conflicts In Herman Hesse sAntigone And Siddhartha
Everyone has responsibilities to carry out for themselves or for others and in the
books Antigone by Ruby Blondell and Siddhartha by Herman Hesse the main
characters experience these personal obligations. Antigone s and Siddhartha s motives
were to reach their goal by opposing or abandoning someone. Both characters
encountered conflict when attempting to achieve their goal, but they had different
personal outcomes. Stubbornness, having great pride, and commitment are traits that
are vital to both characters in getting what they want. However, even though they
have similar ways to reach their primary goal, their true reasons for attaining them are
quite distinct.
To begin, I believe Siddhartha s selfishness is a key component that helps him later
reach enlightenment because he is willing to abandon one lifestyle for another, all
for the good of himself. Siddhartha s friend Govinda was willing to leave with him,
so he could continue looking for a way to reach enlightenment. In Siddhartha
Herman Hesse says, (Siddhartha) you have always, O Govinda, been my friend, you
have always walked a step behind me. I have often wondered when will you take a
step alone, without me (29). Siddhartha is blunt with Govinda and it is quite
insulting. He attempts separate from someone that respects him, so he can explore
other landscapes. Govinda later meets with Siddhartha is heartbroken that he had left
him. Govinda was nothing but loyal and a great friend that had the utmost respect

The Japanese have long developed a refined and sophisticated cuisine that reflects
upon their traditional lifestyle. The culinary experience in Japan is a widely
recognised concept; with millions of people across the world enjoy various
Japanese dishes every day. Some famous foods that originate from Japan are sushi,
tempura and teriyaki. The typical Japanese diet consists of rice, fresh seafood and
vegetables, both pickled or steamed and it has gained international recognition to be
one of the healthiest food cultures as well as to be related to the longevity of the
Japanese people (Yamasa Institute 2013).
Japanese culture reflects heavily upon the lifestyle endured by the people of Japan.
Although, the word religion is not commonly used by the Japanese to identify their
beliefs or values. Japanese people will rather practise their beliefs and incorporate
elements of different religions. This synchronisation of religions is called Shibuntsu
(Reader Tanabe 1998, p.29). The two main religions in Japan are Shinto and
Buddhism. Ancient Japanese culture and life was shaped by the religion of Shinto,
an indigenous religion, which is based on nature worship. Buddhism and
Confucianism was introduced in the sixth century but was at first, largely resisted by
the Shinto dominated Japan. Today, the majority of Japan is Shinto, with 80% of the
population defining themselves as Shinto (Berkeley Centre 2014).

8. Feral Pigs Are Destroying the State of Texas
Imagine waking up in the middle of a warm Texas night to the thundering sound of
fences being annihilated by a cluster of swine, weighing in at a hefty 300 pounds
each and armed with razor sharp tusks. Within minutes, the rowdy pigs turn a
beautifully manicured lawn into a scene fitting of the apocalypse, a yard with
numerous piles of de rooted sod, broken fence posts and mangled bushes. In the state
of Texas, feralpigs are considered one of the most destructive species of animals
ever introduced to America. The amount of destruction feral pigs produce on a
yearly basis in Texas is alarming; almost half a billion dollars in damages to property
and crops are estimated every year as a result of the pigs actions. Feral pigs are
responsible for causing widespread agricultural damage, spreading diseases in the
food supply, and harming the state s ability to feed needy people with their meat.
Agricultural ranchers in the state of Texas have to deal with feral pigs on a daily
basis in order to keep them from tearing up the food produced by their crops. One
of the problems that are causing this to happen is poorly designed fencing systems
used to keep the pigs out of the crop area. In most cases, the pigs will figure out
ways to exploit weakened parts of the fencing systems and gain access to a feast of
forbidden fruits and vegetables. Some ranchers might create traps littered with food
bait in order to capture the wild hogs and have them processed for food. The issue

10. What Is The Theme Of Father And Son By Bernard
Maclaverty
Father and Son is a short story written by the Irish Bernard MacLaverty in 1978.
The short story takes place in Northern Ireland where we meet a father and his son
and get a glimpse into their life.
The narrator alternates between father and son and is mostly conversations and
thoughts.
The story is basically based on the relationship between the son and the father and
you do not get much told from the past. However there is told, that the son has
been in London, which is clear because the father says he has not heard from his
son for two years, and talks about reading about London in the papers and seeing
scenes from London on the news. We are also told that the father is a widow which

The atmosphere is always pressured between the father and son and none of them
sleeps at night. They used to be close to talk, laugh and do a lot of things together
among them, go fishing. Now the son is very stuffy and shares nothing with his
father, he doesn t tell him where he goes, not even when the father asks. The son s
anger and bad relationship with the father is obvious by his way of act, thinking
and talking to his father. He shouts and calls him a nosey old bastard and an old
woman that cries (page 116, line 10) (page 115, line 3 4). The father is calmer he
loves his son very much but he is worried and frustrated about his son. He miss the
time when they could do anything together, he want his son to talk to him the way
he hear him talk to the people in the door, want to laugh with him and know what
he is thinking. One day after an ordinary quarrel the father would go up to
apologize, when he opens the door he sees his son pushing a gun under the pillow
and when he asks what is his son shouts, It s non of your fucking business (page

he did not see what he saw, hoping he is
11. Description Of A Bedside Manner
Bedside manner is by definition, the manner that a physician assumes toward a
patient. (Merriam Webster s online dictionary, n.d.) However, it is hard to strictly fix
it into one set definition. It encompasses so many different aspects of personal human
behavior, including things like attitude, kindness, sensitivity, and compassion. Good
bedside manner is the foundation to building a healthy relationship between the
patient and the physician. It sets the standard on communication between the two
parties. Poor bedside manner or failure to properly establish appropriate bedside
manner may result in patients becoming distant, apprehensive, or untrusting of the
physician. Bedside manner is not strictly for the benefit of the patient. (Missouri
College, 2013) A large part of conveying good bedside manner is for the healthcare
professional to be sure that they are able to completely understand the patient. This
goes hand in hand with favorable doctor patient communication skills. It is crucial to
maintain good bedside manner, not only to keep therapeutics moving forward
smoothly, but also to aid in the healing process. In certain studies, it is reported that
more patients prefer a doctor with a personality reflecting good bedside skills to one
that might just be better at accurately diagnosing a patient. This conclusion is
alarming in the fact that more people hold more importance on simply feeling human,
than being properly diagnosed. (Danny Gordon, 2014) Another reason for
12. Religion In The Middle East
The Middle East is a beautiful region it consists of Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Saudi
Arabia, Syria, Turkey, and Yemen. There are many things about the Middle East
that is so intriguing, but in this paper I am only going to focus on religion in the
Middle East. The Middle East is an extremely diverse region in so many ways,
culture, language, literature, art, etc., but most of all it is diverse because of its
religions. There are hundreds of religions but the three religions that make up the
foundation of religion in the Middle East; Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. The three
major religions in the Middle East are Islam, Christianity, and Judaism; those who
worship Allah , which is Islam, are referred to as Muslims, those who worship Jesus ,

Christianity and Islam both grew from the teachings of Judaism, Christianity, most
of all, was born from within the Jewish tradition and community, while Judaism
came from the same region, taking teachings from both Christianity and Judaism.
Christianity was born from within the Jewish community and tradition. Hundreds
of years later, Islam developed in the same region, drawing from both Christianity
and Judaism (The Holy Land: Birthplace of Three Religious Traditions). The
patriarch Abraham gives a certain importance to all three of the religions, each
religion sees Abraham as something different; the Jews see him as the forefather
of the Jewish people, the importance of Abraham to the Christians is more
theological than genealogical, meaning Abraham is more of a God and religious
belief rather than a line of descent traced from an ancestor. All three faiths give
particular importance to the patriarch Abraham. For Jews, Abraham is not only he
who first expounded the faith, but also the forefather of the Jewish people,
through his son by Sarah, Isaac. For Christians, Abraham s importance is more
theological than genealogical (The Holy Land: Birthplace of Three Religious
Traditions). Muslims see Abraham as a prophet that carries God s message and is
the builder of the Ka ba, which is the sacred structure that is the geographical center
of Islam on earth and is located in Mecca. For Muslims, Abraham is both an
important prophet carrying God s message and the builder of the Ka ba, the sacred

13. Analysis Of A Long Way Gone By Ishmael Beah
Over the past few months I took the opportunity presented to me in this class to
choose a memoir and write a piece about it later on in the semester. I decided to
choose a story that really stood out to me ever since I first picked it up off of the
bookshelf and read its introduction. The book is called A Long Way Gone, written
by Ishmael Beah. Ishmael Beah is an escaped soldier from the civil war that took
place in Sierra Leone in the mid to late 90 s. In A Long Way Gone, Beah reflects
upon his journey to America and the several trials he had to go through in order to
make it there.
When I first started researching the author of A Long Way Gone, Ishmael Beah, I
was completely amazed at his ability to overcome the mountainous obstacles he
has had to face in his life. Growing up in a third world country is challenging
enough, but to try and survive a civil war and at the same time be forced into
becoming a soldier seems almost unimaginable. On top of all of this, he had to
provide for his family and fight several of his friends from the same tribe who had
also been forced into becoming soldiers themselves. Despite all of this adversity, in
the end, Ishmael is able to escape death, and capture, and eventually flee Sierra
Leone to find a new home at a rehabilitation center in New York City. After reaching
this center, Ishmael is able to share his own incredible story, along with other children
forced into war with members at a convention at the United Nations.
When Ishmael
14. How Does Hermia End In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Humans can choose to make small decisions that may end up being the biggest
mistake of their life. In the book A Midsummer Night s Dream, Shakespeare exposes
the great emotions of love and friendship contrasted. The characters in this comedy,
essentially Hermia and Helena, all experience this same difficulty throughout the
novel. Many of the characters have to make a simple decision that will end up
drastically affecting the stories ending, no matter what they determine is the best
response. Hermiaand Helenas choices between lovefriendship commonly end up
ruining relationships. Hermia often chooses her lover over her best friend, even when
it comes to never seeing the other one again. In this story, Hermia s father wants
Hermia to marry Demetrius, although she is in love with Lysander. She then decides
to run away with him, hence they can marry and stay with his aunt. Accordingly,
Lysander comes up with the plan of getting out of Athens, so that they can live
together happily and says, There, gentle Hermia,... Show more content on

that my nails can reach unto thine eyes (Shakespeare 3.2.298). Because Helena no
longer trusted Hernia after being picked over, she made a minor rude comment to
Hermia after thinking she was being tricked. Expectedly, this caused Hermia to
easily threaten Helena due to her love for Lysander. They were fighting over love,
which caused many disagreements between the two. In this plot, love was again

relationship more than they already
15. Essay about Hook Up Culture
College and universities have made great strides over the years. The campuses have
grown, and the resources have improved tremendously. However, it is questionable
if that social scene on these campuses has changed for the better over the years.
Work hard, party hard has become the motto of college students to live by. Students
spend the week focused on their academics, striving to grow as intellects. However,
the weekend becomes the time when students look to go out and socialize at the
various parties. And this is exactly what the weekend is for. With growing causal
party scenes, college students have been more inclined to have a casual relationship
with the opposite sex. Traditional dating on college campuses is rarely seen anymore

Boston College freshmen, Caroline Gray says, I think college kids are under a
false conception that they have to hook up with as many people as they can to have
a good time, when I believe that we can get more satisfaction out of caring and being
cared for and by one person. So, what happens when someone desires something
more?
The majority of the time the person who is left longing for more than just a casual
hookup is the female. Women, by nature, are more likely to become more
emotionally attached, especially when it comes to sexual activities. However,
most of the time, girls will be willing to play along with the game of hooking up.
Perhaps, in hopes, that it will someday lead to something more. But, if and when it
doesn t, they can be left emotionally distraught. Girls will become attached to the
person they are with and grow to have a sincere care for them. However, when it
comes to picking a mate, boys are not as particular about the girl. A study, Age and
gender differences in mate selection criteria for various involvement levels found
that men should be equally as selective as women with respect to long term mates,
but less selective than woman with respect to short term mates criteria (Kenrick).
Boys are less likely to think about all aspects of girl when planning on hooking up
with her, unlike girls. They are not as particular because they are just looking for
17. Synoptic Gospels Figurative Language Analysis
The three synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke each recount the good news
about Jesus. The authors of the aforementioned literature describe the same events as
if they had observed all of them personally and were reporting what they saw at the
time. These authors were very descriptive in their literature as they described Jesus
teaching (Harris, 2014). When reading the Gospels, the first feature which strikes
the reader is the way in which Jesus adapted His teaching to the type of hearer, with
whom He was dealing (n.d., Linderer). According to Matthew and Mark, Jesus
consistently taught in a figurative language. Figurative language can be described
as a figure of speech, language that compares, exaggerates, or means something
other than what it first appears to mean. Nevertheless, the signature style Jesus
used for teaching is the parable. A parable is similar to figurative language as it is
defined as placing beside or a comparison (Harris, 2014). In addition, it takes the
form of a brief fictional narrative, generally comparing some familiar object or
practice to the dawning Kingdom of God. An example of this Jesus comparing God s

Aphorisms are quotable statements that Jesus audiences would remember. An
example of this form of teaching would be when God said it is easier for a camel
to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
(Harris, 2014). It is sufficient to note that the teaching of Jesus was never dull and
that the teaching ministry was a means to an end. No one can read the gospels
without being impressed by the artistic character of Jesus teaching. He made
frequent use of metaphors, and constant use of similes, which were often of the most
creative kind. There is no doubt that his forms of teaching were relatively easy to
remember, caused people to think and were intended to be recalled (n.d.,
18. Research Paper On Orion
Orion is my favorite constellation because it is one of the easiest to find and most
recognizable. This makes it one of the most popular constellations. Orion s belt
includes the three brightest stars in the sky. In the Northern Hemisphere, Orion is
a fall and winter constellation, visible from November to February. One of Orion s
stars is actually a nebula, the Orion nebula. The creation myth for Orion comes
from Greek mythology. Orion was a famous hunter. There are several different
myths about Orion s birth, life, and death. The version I read as a child stated that
Orion was a son of Poseidon, and because of this, he could walk on water. He was an
amazing hunter, and always made sure to show respect to Artemis, the goddess of
hunting.
19. A Fair System Of Taxation
Since taxes have been collected in the United States, there has been substantial debate
about what constitutes a truly fair system of taxation. After all, taxation without
representation was the basis on which the Revolutionary War was fought against
England; the new colonies were loathe to continue to accept a system in which they
had to pay taxes that were dictated by a monarchy that appeared to have less and
less interest in fairness. In fact, Great Britain had become completely engaged in
finding ways to earn income based on taxing its colonies. So resistant to the idea of
taxationwith the first colonists that the first federal statutes in the United States

This suggestion is viewed as an extremely fair response to the problems with the
tax code, because it supports an equitable solution for all taxpayers, regardless of
their income level. However, another proposal that has become popular completely
eliminates the current progressive tax code as well as the idea of a flat tax. The Fair
Tax is not a tax on income but instead would replace all existing income taxes
including payroll taxes, with a single consumption tax (Erb.) Discussion about the flat
tax versus the fair tax in comparison with the current progressive income tax
highlights a wide perspective of views about the appropriate way for the
government to collect revenue from its citizens. Supporters of all three
configurations make sound arguments to justify continuing with the current system
or adopting one of the two alternatives. The current system, the progressive income
tax, is popular because it is essentially exactly what it sounds like, i.e., the tax rate
that anyone pays rises, or progresses, as income increases. In fact, such a
progressive income tax system can be created even when the rates remain flat
through the use of personal exemptions, tax credits, and tax deductions which
essentially change the tax rate that is in effect (Erb.) People tend to like progressive
tax rates because they are a way of raising revenue by taxing people who have the
20. Urban Consolidation And Its Effects On The Fringe Areas
Of...
Urban consolidation is the process of increasing or maintaining the density of
housing in established residential areas. The ultimate aim of urban consolidation is
to reduce development on the fringe areas of the city. It is often realised by
densification, high rise development and urban renewal. The process of Urban
Consolidation involves an increase in the number of houses or apartments within
existing areas so that they can have more efficient use of services and reduce the
impact on the environment. Urban Consolidation is used as a means to reduce the
total amount of land needed to house the population. Ultimately it is through the;
demographics and population, changing nature of the built environment, and
transport, that a study of urban consolidation in chatswood can be underaken.
There are two main componetns to population change, in this case population
growth. These are natural increase and migration. In 2001 Chatswood had a

21. Hero In Beowulf
Aristotle had once said that Men are marked from the moment of birth to rule or be
ruled . (Littrell, Aristotle , 2016). Each trait that one must have to be a Hero is in the
following: The hero must be of noble birth, the heroes story must arouse fear and
empathy to keep the reader interested and entertained by what could happen happen
next, the heromust be intelligent so that he may learn from his mistakes, and lastly
the hero must be faced with a very serious decision that he must make. All of these
traits are what all four of these characters in these books, stories and plays have in
order to be a hero.
Having a noble birth is important when it comes to being a hero. Having a noble
birth shows high qualities of courage, honor and generosity. ... Show more content on

In the Iliad Achilles had been often aware of his mistakes but still continued with
his plans. For instance, after Achilles fights Hector and defeats him Achilles ties
Hector s body to the back of his chariot to humiliate Hector before tossing Hector s
body onto a garbage heap. Later after Hector s brother Paris finds out about Hector
s death, he goes after Achilles and shoots him in the heel and kills him. Hector on
the other hand proved to be very respectful to whomever he had been fighting and
admits his mistakes. For example, Hector makes two fateful decisions. In the first
decision, Hector disregards Poulydamas s advice and keeps the Trojans encamped on
the plain of Troy. This allowed Achilles counterattack on the Trojans. Secondly,
Confident that he can withstand Achilles on his own, Hector waits outside the walls
of Troy. When Hector s courage fails him he starts running away from Achilles.
Hector later on accepted his fate and fought Achilles but lost. Beowulf had been
another character that learns from his mistakes even with his intelligence. After
Beowulf kills the monster Grendel he believes he has the strength to defeat the
Dragon. He and his relative Wiglaf sneak into the cave where Beowulf successfully
kills the beast but does not come out alive. Therefore, Beowulf s taking on a
challenge that he knew he could not complete and
22. Sexual Abuse Causes Long Lasting Effects That Follow A
Sexual abuse causes long lasting effects that follow a person into adulthood. This
results in issues in forming strong and healthy relationships as adults. Furthermore,
when involved a child and a parental figure, these issues become even more
prominent, as they affect relationships both at home and in personal life. Through
her poetry collection, Rupi Kaur expresses her own experience with the sexual
abuse she experienced. The first section of Milk and Honey displays how sexual
abuse affects the way Kaur views sex and love, as well as its affect on her
relationship with her parents. The next three sections follow Kaur s path towards
healing and learning to love herself. Milk and Honey presents the negative effects
felt by victims of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the beginning, Kaur leaves out the identity purposefully because sexual abuse
committed by family members is much more serious and comes as a shock to the
reader, despite it happening in 3 out of 10 sexual abuse cases ( Facts and Statistics ,
N.D.). People often think of perpetrators to be strangers or mere acquaintances.
Therefore, including the information of identity causes more of a sympathetic
reaction in the reader. From this point on, Kaur ties together the idea of family
relations with the effect of the rape. To many, the idea of family brings comfort and
trust. However, in people who experience sexual assault from a family member, the
breach of trust causes difficulty in recovery.
The strain put on Kaur s ties with her family becomes apparent, not only through
her father s actions against her, but also through the words associated with her
mother and father. Kaur describes the relationship between her mother and father as
being one of another form of abuse: emotional. Kaur s father silences her mother,
much as women are silenced in the homes of dominating men. Kaur cannot tell if
her mother is terrified or in love with her father (Kaur, 40). This suggests the lack
of love and trust between all three people in the house, as Kaur s father dominates
both Kaur and her mother. This further affects Kaur s ability to speak out for herself
or to identify warning signs of abusive relationships, as she has learned to normalize
abuse.
Kaur discusses the
23. How The Black Plague Affected The World From 1558 To
1551
During Shakespeare s era, war, Kings and Queens, and dynasties influenced the
important events that happened around the world from 1558 through 1603. Many
new Kings and Queens of countries were elected to run their countries. Through
out the era diseases such as the black plague affected many peoples lives. A lot of
countries had to go through war to declare their own countries and how much land
will be under their names. Without certain people and important events that
happened during the Shakespeare s era the history back in the day would be
totally different. For the first fifteen years from 1558 1573 a lot of events broke out
in Europe. It all starts off in 1558. England had much of France back in the day, but
in 1558 that changed. The last piece of territory England had in France, Calais, they
lost possession to (Alchin 8). Queen Mary I died on November 17, 1558. This was a
big loss for England as she was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Henry IV needed help from Queen Elizabeth in 1591, so she sends them help
(Alchin 13). Henry IV decided to declare war on Spain in 1595. Sadly on January
28, 1596 the great sailor Francis Drake dies at sea due to the plague (Alchin 16).
The Shakespeare Era comes to and end in 1603 as Queen Elizabeth I dies on
March 23, 1603. The last fifteen years were not as eventful as the first thirty years
were, but this is where the whole era ends and moves on to a new one. A lot of
important events happened around the world during Shakespeare s time period. In
the thirty years a lot of war went down, new Kings and Queens were named, and
many dynasties were formed. War had to had happen in order to resolve problems
between countries. No matter how much a country could talk it out it won t matter
until they fight for it. Without the Kings and Queens every country would have been
at a different state at the time. All these important events shaped up what happened
during the Shakespeare s

These analysis are founded upon three key factors, how many additional troops are
deployed, how long the deployment will last, and the additional costs linked with
incremental troop deployment. The U.S. military requires provisions from support
forces, staff headquarters, military police, communication staff, and medical
personnel just to name a few. Over the past years, DoD generally has deploys a total
of 9,500 personnel per combat group including 4,000 combat troops, and 5,500
supporting troops. This doesn t include the 35,000 to 48,000 additional troops, which
adds an additional $9 to $13 billion for a four month deployment (Gilmore).
There are supplementary ways in order to decrease these costs. Gilmore addresses
the fact that accompanying combat forces with fewer support personnel will
decrease the cost of military spending. Since 2001 funding for actions in Iraq and
the war on terrorism has been provided across an arrangement of a partial year
(Gilmore). These finances are endorsed at the beginning of a fiscal year, and
midyear. This allows the department of defense to constantly gain access to funds. If
the funds run out before the midyear, the DoD can pay the expenses with funds
given for its original use, which is then reimbursed upon the start of the midyear.
Modifying this loophole to every entire fiscal year would create a more accurate
depiction of how much financing Congress should present the DoD. This

With more than four and half million Italian immigrants arriving to American

nineteenth century as the number of immigrants and residents steadily increased.
Italian music has become popular genre with many subdivisions. Italian music has

Everything comes from somewhere, said Luger. He finds that his passion for jazz
music and Italian American music can be easily interconnected since all music
influences one another. One thing I found interesting about Luger s music is that
when I asked him to tell me more about the Italian music that he plays, he corrected
me, and stated that the music he plays should be referred to as Italian American
because Italian music has a broad range of styles. He said as much as he loves to
play instruments and sing, he is aware that he does not have an opera voice, which
would allow him to sing authentic Italian music. Classical Italian music is
considered to be Opera. Opera was born in Italy in 1600 during the Italian
Renaissance and by the late 16th century. Now, when thinking about Classical
Italian music, I think of one of the most famous Italian opera composers, Giuseppe
Verdi (1813 1901). Verdi s works are most noted for their emotional intensity, tuneful
melodies, and dramatic characterizations. Verdi transformed the Italian opera into a
unified musical and dramatic entity. Verdi composed over twenty eight operas.
Macbeth, a performance by Verdi based off the work of William Shakespeare, was a
popular show performed in New York Cityin the late 1800s. Verdi s works, along

Non application might flout the purpose of knowledge, but it cannot lead to
waning of significance. The value of knowledge is idiosyncratic, it can only be

Thus, knowledge should be acknowledged as an isolated entity and not as a
contingent of application. There is an enthralling connection in between application
and value of knowledge. The value of knowledge is intensified by right application.
Knowledge will be valuable for eternity, but theoretically. Sometimes practical

as rightly said by Anthony Douglas Williams. So what I conclude is we should learn
everything as every sphere of life has possibility for supplementary application of
shared and personal knowledge. Experience gained from such application helps
individuals incur the faculty of wisdom. Thus, knowledge is irreplaceable, it needs to
be premeditated, encompassed and buttressed to be of virtuous consumption to
29. What Is The Value Of The Motion Picture Industry
It is no surprise to know that there has been an increase in interest towards the motion
picture industry. Largely because the motion picture industry has become a
significant source of revenue in many countries. Thousands of movies are made each
year, and they total to billions of dollars in revenue. For example, in 2006, more than
3,000 movies were in theaters totaling to $23.8 billion in revenue. Motion pictures are
also instrumental in shaping worldwide impressions of a country s intellectual,
historical, and cultural environment. In this paper, my objective is to address certain
issues pertaining to the motion picture industry, specifically its value chain, the
competitive landscape, the notion of net profit, cost allocation considerations, and the
key elements to consider when conducting a cost variance analysis. The value chain
of the motion picture industry consists of three stages production, distribution, and
exhibition then it finally arrives for the consumption, where the audiences can see the
final product. As the saying goes it takes a village in each of these stages to get the
motion picture to consumers, but it is no easy task to make a motion picture. There
are four phases involved before, during, and after the production stage: development,
pre production, production, and post production. In the development phase, the
producer acquires intellectual property. There is no particular order in which this is
done, but the producer needs to purchase the rights to make the film, acquire a
screenwriter, and obtain initial financing. This is easier for major studios, because
hiring well known screenwriters, actors and actresses, as well as the director, makes
it easier to obtain financing. Independent studios, on the other hand, have a limited
budgeted and are only able to show a preview for major or subsidiary studios.
Then the studio decision makers determine whether the film will be successful and
compare it to other films. They also develop a scenario analysis of potential box
office revenues and determine if they should move forward with the film. Films are
only given the green light once the executives are satisfied with the predicted
probability, and once they secure financing.

Bismarck and Hitler were both extremely influential leaders in history who had strong
impacts on politics in Germany. They both dramatically changed the future of
Germany and had lasting impacts that are still evident in today s world. They are
both prominent figures in history that have left a significant mark on it especially
with their political tactics. Bismarck was an important politician in the mid to late
1800s who was at the head of German affairs. He instigated a series of wars to unify
the German states into one nation. Hitler was also an influential politician who
helped to lead Germany out of a economic depression but also lead them into a
disastrous world war. They used their political maneuvers and tactics to outsmart

Have you ever wished you still had the innocence of a child? Or that you were not
ever exposed to the truth of society? In 1948, J.D. Salinger wrote and published his
story A Perfect Day for Bananafish . The short story comes from Salinger s Nine
Stories , which includes other pieces of his work such as The Laughing Man ,
Down at the Dinghy , and Teddy . He is known to write about the loss of innocence
in each of his stories. Salinger s story is an autobiography; he portrays his own life
events through Seymour Glass. Glass, being the main character, suffers from
psychological issues that lead him to suicide. Seymour s character mimics true events
in Salinger s life. The short storyconsolidates symbols such as the bananafish to

Salinger s A Perfect Day for Bananafish also incorporates symbols such as sunburn.
Sunburn is the equivalent to getting burned by material pursuits. It is said that
Muriel is most sunburned because she is the most vain and superficial ( A Perfect
Day for Bananafish ). The words imply that Muriel cares mostly about her
appearances. Although this may be true, it is also a connection to her archetype in
society. She is focused on her social status and looks than her husband. Whereas
Seymour tries to avoid the sun by wearing a bathrobe. Salinger writes, I mean all he
does is lie there. He won t take his bathrobe off (5). This suggests that Seymour tries
to protect himself from the impurities and artificialness of society. Salinger s
suggestion that Seymour subconsciously fears the corrupting influences of the world

purpose in the novel, The Other Wes Moore. The specific strategies the author uses
are diction, syntax, juxtaposition, and imagery. Wes and Wes s lives seemed to be
determined by who they met and got to know. The reasons for their fathers
absences and their source of guidance also seemed to affect their way of living. The
author s purpose seems to involve the influence people have on young people and
how it could change their lifestyle. Diction was one of the devices the author used to

can be learned and memorized. In spite of the fact that there is not a verse that

The Old Testament descriptions of God are applied to Jesus by both Matthew (Matt
3:3, Isa. 40:3) and John (John 12:41, Isa. 6:1). Jesus disciples were convinced He was
God because he possessed the attributes of God: Life (John 1:4), Self existence (John
5:26), Immutability (Heb. 13:8), Truth (John 14:6), Love (I John 3:1), Holiness Luke
1:35), Eternity (John 1:1), Omnipresence (Matt. 28:20), Omniscience (Matt. 9:4),
Omnipotence (Matt. 28:18). Dr. Wallace s textbook also provides examples in
Scripture where a) the works of God are ascribed to Jesus (John 1:3, Col. 1:17), b)
honor and worship due only to God is given to Jesus (John 5:23, Rom. 10:9, Heb.
1:6, Phil. 2:10 11, Rev. 5:12 14, and c) Jesus name is associated with that of God on
an equal basis (Matt. 28:19, I Cor. 1:3, II Cor. 13:14, John 5:23, John 14:1, Col. 3:1,
John 5:18). Jesus promised to send a helper to carry on His work. The promised
Helper was the Holy Spirit. From the start He was recognized as the third divine
Person, as one who receives honor due only to God (I Cor. 3:16) and is associated as
an equal to God (Matt. 28:19, II Cor. 13:14). Peter said in Acts 5:3 4 that to lie to the
Holy Spirit is to lie to God. The Holy Spirit also has God s attributes ascribed to Him,
such as Life (Rom. 8:2), Truth (John 16:13), Love (Rom. 15:30), Holiness (Eph.
4:30), Eternity (Heb. 9:14),
35. The Evolution Of Health Care
The evolution of health care has influenced current health care systems using
insurance companies in a number of ways. This evolution started almost a decade ago
when there was need to transform the organization of health care system. Retail
clinics have emerged to offer routine preventative and acute care services by non
physician providers, with predictable wait times, more convenient venues, and more
obtainable prices. This article evaluates the evolution of the health care system and
examines the impact retail clinics, managed careand health coverage have on the
health care industry since they began to gain popularity.
What factors are driving the health care change? Beside cultural and religious
contributions to the health care change, economic and situational factors play a large
part in the changes health care is facing. A variety of factors have influenced this
rapid and significant growth. They include: population growth, increases in health
care technologies, increased drug reliance, high cost of health care coverage and
malpractice award increases. While debate continues on both the success and the
future of managed care, one cannot deny the increased emphasis on cost containment.
How health care has changed?
Dranove (2000) traces the economic evolution of American Health Care using the
phrase from Marcus Welby, M. D. to managed care. For most of the twentieth century
the traditional U. S. health care system, according to Dranove (2000) had three

38. Electronic Technology In Marshall Mcluhan s The Medium
Is...
The major advances in civilization are processes that all but wreck the societies in
which they occur (A.N Whitehead). Marshall Mcluhan, the author of The Medium
is the Massage, would agree to this and add that electronic technology is reshaping
and restructuring patterns of social interdependence and every aspect of our
personal life (McLuhan, 8). He would argue that society has always been shaped
by the medium of the media affecting everything from government to family,
leaving no part of us untouched. Using the alphabet for example, is a technology
which is absorbed at a very early age in a completely unaware manner. Words and
the meaning of words predispose the child to think and act automatically in certain

the exact same way, as it encourages unification, involvement, and commitment. As

McLuhan believes we will eventually enter into an Age of Anxiety , where we ... do

causes us to live in a rear view mirror society, and McLuhan says one must use tools
of the present to make sense of the present. George Orwellauthor of 1984 would have
a lot to say about this particular topic for instance, Who controls the past controls the

39. The End Satire
The end is something anyone can foretell. Sarah gets the dollar bill and tracks John
while John gets the book and tracks her all the way to England. They both break off
their engagement and later become engaged to each other. This movie represents how
the characters end up falling in love with other people, only relying on fate to bring
them to one another.
Unlike most films in the romance genre, this film does not have any strong language
or strong sex scenes. The main characters of the movie have good supporting
characters to ground them. John s uses humor while Sarah s is just a cynic. Sarah s
best friend sells New Age candles that someone lights as she waits for her soul mate.
Unfortunately, this prevents them from ever getting out there
40. Essay on Madagascar s History
Freedom isn t free (various artists sing song) is the one quote that describes the
hardship and difficulties that Madagascar has experienced, since the 7th Century all
the way until their independence in June of 1960 Madagascar and its people have
been in constant turmoil. Through its eventful past it is easy to see how Madagascar
gained its history, culture, and religion, this is the identity that the country has shifted
to over this vast amount of time. Archeologists such as Jarred Diamond, the author of
Guns, Germs, and Steel , place the first humans in Madagascar as the Austronesian
people from Indonesia around 500BC. It is believed that the Malagasy people came
directly from Indonesia to Madagascar; this is evident through the... Show more

It seems several of the world s greatest discoveries are on accident. Over the next
several years the French and the English attempted settlements and control on
Madagascar but failed miserably, one memorable Christmas day 1672 local tribe
members attacked Fort Dauphine (the current French colony) brutally and
purposefully killing fourteen men and thirteen women. This massacre is rumored
to have been because these fourteen men deserted and divorced native Malagasy
women in order to marry younger and purer French women. This battle lasted a
long eighteen months as the French remained barricaded in their fort while the
angry tribal members raged battle. In 1674 thirty remaining men and the one
widow were saved by the arrival of the French East India Company. The next several
years between 1680 and 1725 Madagascar was a famed and feared pirate cove, which
during these years hundreds of European vessels were ransacked of all their
valuables and scrapped to the island, as a result Madagascar became on of Europe s
most feared shipping routes. The Merina monarchy began about 1795 with king
Andrianampoinimerina, who by marrying various princesses of different Merina
clans united the Merina kingdom and began his conquest over Madagascar. King
Andrianampoinimerina was a military genius and excellent strategist, thought to be
equally respected and feared as other great military leaders such as Alexander the

41. Research on the Logistics and Mechanisms of Attention
Attention is a mechanism directly involved in the selection, distribution and
maintenance of processing resources, which determines our ability to process
complex and multiple stimuli from our environment and is crucial to our success and
survival. Given the large magnitude of visual information we encounter every day, the
existence of a selective mechanism at a conscious and unconscious level that
regulates what we pay attentionto is indisputable; it has even been conceptualized as a
supramodal mechanism that distributes cognitive resources according to task
complexity and motivation (Salthouse , Rogan Prill , 1984). Initially conceived as a
single spotlight alternating amongst foci (Tiffin, Knight Jackson, 1946), attention is
now understood to be beneficial due to its capacity to divide. Nevertheless, there is a
limit in scope and manner, so we are constantly promoting the priority processing of
certain information in the presence of multiple stimuli (RossellГі, 1999).
Understanding the logistical constrains behind this prioritization and allocation of
resources is thus important from a theoretical perspective (Vergauwe et al., 2010), but
also due to its practical implications in various fields such as the military, sports,
transportation, safety and education (Strayer Johnston, 2001; Gingerich Lineweaver,
2014).
Generally, these constrains have been studied in two specific domains: space and
time. Regarding space, visual search paradigms explore how stimulus
42. Abraham De Vries Double Portraits
Portrait painting thrived in the Netherlands with the increase in production driven by
interest in the idea of personhood and the definition of the individual self. Portraits
help document the development of a personal identity as it connects factors like
marital status, class, and profession. A common portraitgenre produced during the
seventeenth century portrays their subjects with an impassive demeanor with little
vigor. At first, these paintings may be evaluated as lacking personality or
characterization due to the artist s lack of talent. However, this is rarely the case. In
trying to understand Dutch portraiture, it is important to identify what type of
functions they serve. Abraham de Vries Double Portrait functions not only as
recording of his sitters faces but also as a signifier of the cultural, social and
philosophical ideas of the time.
Abraham de Vries Double Portrait depicts a man and a woman sitting at a table.
The woman looks up from her reading while the man turns in his chair. Both of
them look out of the frame into the viewer s space. There is a calm, unified axis of

Their close proximity does not translate into a sense of togetherness. Unlike Frans
Hals Marriage Portrait of Isaac Massa and Beatrix van der Laen, there is no intimacy
found within the gesture of de Vries couple. The casual poses and smiles that Isaac
and Beatrix share are not present in de Vries couple. Hals light hearted attitude has
also been replaced with a meditative state. This does not mean the couple has no
relationship to each other. Instead of their bond hinging on physical touches, their
spiritual connections are emphasized. The Bible symbolizes the spiritual side and by
having both figures touch it, it shows their connection through religion. The fact that
the Bible is the only thing on the table also highlights this
44. Case Study Of The Michigan Model Of HRM
3.2 Michigan Model of HRM
In contrast to the Harvard Model, the Michigan model (Figure 4) is considered as a
hard HRM model. Those models consider human resources as economic factors for
achieving the strategy of the organization (Henderson, 2008). Figure 4: Michigan
Model
Performance displays the centre of this approach. All human resource sections
influence the outcome in the performance of the workers and thus the company.
At first, the selection of proper staff is important for the company. Centerscape is
looking for young, motivated, and skilled people. The selection process starts with
evaluating which applicant would be best to perform the task. After that, a small
number is invited for an interview, to look who would fit in the company culture (von
Einem, 2016). This is the basis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To ensure good operational performance on the long term, it is vital to attract skilled
young workers, and to retain the established workers in the company. To achieve
these goals, specific policies related to these issues are recommended.
4.1 Dual Education System
One approach to attract young workers is the implementation of the dual education
system in the company. The systems combine both theory and practical experience.
Students in this system attend universities specially designed for dual education. In
their actual semester break the students work in the partner company.
The system has enjoyed great popularity in recent years in Germany, as Figure 5
indicates.
Figure 5: Number of dual education students and companies (Wegweiser duales

The blue graph shows the number of students studying in the dual education system
in Germany. Between mid 2012 and mid 2014, the number increased significantly
from about 65,000 students to 95,000. The green graph illustrates the number of
companies offering a dual education programme. Despite a short decrease in 2011,
this number rose steadily,

Absalom Macky, a boy with eyes as blue as the sea and hair as red as an apple,
spent his entire childhood jumping from one foster family to another. Nobody
wanted to harbor such a wild child. From breaking toys in grade school to breaking
windows in future years he was the wild child. His mother died from overdosing on
prescription painkillers and his father took a bullet for his country. After years of
unsuccessful homes Absalom is placed with an unconventional family. Richard and

After several run ins with the law Absalom committed the biggest offense. He stole

on the streets. Unlike unskilled burglars, Absalom used dental floss and clever

dealership in a brand new Corvette, but not without his seatbelt on. The boy might
have made it if the car had more than a quarter of a tank of gas. Absalom had not
thought it through this far. Without a dime in his pocket and a drop of gas in the
tank he was forced to pull over of the side of the highway. Not five minutes later he
sees sirens and tries to make a run for it. But where does he go? Into the woods
only to get lost or face the consequences? For the first time in his life Absalom
makes the right choice. The officer was sensible and only did his job. Absalom

46. Philippine History
Philippine History Early History The Negritos are believed to have migrated to the
Philippines some 30,000 years ago from Borneo, Sumatra, and Malaya. The
Malayans followed in successive waves. These people belonged to a primitive epoch
of Malayan culture, which has apparently survived to this day among certain groups
such as the Igorots. The Malayan tribes that came later had more highly developed
material cultures. In the 14th cent. Arab traders from Malay and Borneo introduced
Islam into the southern islands and extended their influence as far north as Luzon.
The first Europeans to visit (1521) the Philippines were those in the Spanish
expedition around the world led by the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan.

The Filipinos had also declared their independence and established a republic under
the first democratic constitution ever known in Asia. Their dreams of independence
were crushed when the Philippines were transferred from Spain to the United States
in the Treaty of Paris (1898), which closed the Spanish American War. In Feb.,
1899, Aguinaldo led a new revolt, this time against U.S. rule. Defeated on the
battlefield, the Filipinos turned to guerrilla warfare, and their subjugation became a
mammoth project for the United States one that cost far more money and took far
more lives than the Spanish American War. The insurrection was effectively ended
with the capture (1901) of Aguinaldo by Gen. Frederick Funston, but the question of
Philippine independence remained a burning issue in the politics of both the United
States and the islands. The matter was complicated by the growing economic ties
between the two countries. Although comparatively little American capital was
invested in island industries, U.S. trade bulked larger and larger until the
Philippines became almost entirely dependent upon the American market. Free
trade, established by an act of 1909, was expanded in 1913. When the Democrats
came into power in 1913, measures were taken to effect a smooth transition to self
rule. The Philippine assembly already had a popularly elected lower house, and the
Jones Act, passed by the U.S. Congress in 1916, provided for a
47. The Air Traffic Control System
At this instant there, are 6,204 aircraft in the sky courtesy of FlightRadar24. But
by the time you are reading this, there can be more than 5,000 aircrafts in the sky.
Throughout the day, Air Traffic Control handles more than 50,000 flights on any
given day. Air Traffic Control has come a long way since it first was established in
Newark, New Jersey on July 6, 1936. It has grown from just three towers to an
outstanding 131 federal stand alone airport towers, 132 towers for terminal approach
and 21 en route control towers (Jones). This expansion of Air Traffic Controlcould not
have been done without the help of the United States government and the Federal
Aviation Administration. To further this expansion, I believe that the Air Traffic
Control should be privatized. With the Air Traffic Control privatized, it would speed
up the development of NextGen, increase safety and efficiency, and create a self
funded private organization.
There is currently a new Air Traffic Control system being developed. This system is
called NextGen. NextGen is a GPS system, which will give pilots more precise
information on other planes whereabouts. It is a change from ground based radar to
the more advanced and accurate satellite surveillance. This would allow aircraft to
take off in more direct routes and shorter intervals (VerBruggen). With the idea of
more direct routes, it would be projected to save about 1.4 billion gallons of aviation
fuel and would save the environment more than 14
48. Essay On My Vacation
Everyone has gone on some form of vacation in their lives. I have gone on many
vacations that have been very hectic, but the cruise that I went on might have been
the craziest. It all started with how we were getting to the port in South Carolina.
We couldn t fit me, my younger brother, my younger step brother, my older step
brother, my older step sister, my aunt, and my stepmom all into my stepmom s tiny
BMW, so we had to rent a big van. When we got to the car rental place, it turns out
that the company had accidentally gave the van we rented to someone else. After
my stepmom did a little bit of yelling, we got an even bigger van for less than the
other one. Next comes the 13 hour car ride. My 7 year old step brother, Max,
wouldn t sit still the whole ride and kept screaming at his I Pad every time he lost
his game. My 10 year old brother, Ryan, was sitting right next to Max screaming
with him like he was still 7. My step sister Emma and I were very annoyed and
tired, so we both took about 3 melatonin gummies and tried to fall asleep. That s
when the car ride went bad. My brothers were being loud the... Show more content on

51. The Importance Of Trojans In The Trojan War
Virgil first depicts humans as unthoughtful through the ignorance of the Trojans. In
Virgil s story, during the Trojan War, the Greeks have a plan to hide their men
inside of a giant wooden horse to get inside the city of Troy. When this enormous
gift shows up in Troy, few people are suspicious, and most people want to accept the
gift. The men of Troyreceive many warnings, but still end up taking the horse into
the walls of their city. Laocoön, a Trojan priest, tries to assist the Trojans and tells
them, Men of Troy, what madness has come over you?/Can you believe the enemy
had truly gone?/A gift from the Danaans, and no ruse? (II. 59 61) This priest was
the first to legitimately question the gift, and even after hearing this warning from
someone so wise, the Trojans decided to accept the gift into their city. If the Trojans
would have listened to the priest, they could have won the war and saved many lives.
Instead of thinking through why their enemy would give them such a present, the
men acted impulsively and completely misjudged the situation. Not only did the
Trojans receive warnings about the horse from their own friends, but the blindly
trusted a man they knew nothing about. As the Trojans were contemplating their
decision, the Greeks sent a secret weapon to trick them. Sinon, a sneaky Greek,
showed up to the gates of Troy ready to convince the Trojans to accept the Greek s
gift. Sinon is introduced as an unknown prisoner and this causes the Trojans to
sympathize
