This paper examines the ability to graphically display frequency distribution tables
that are represented within a school setting. There are three types of data sets that are
interpreted within two types of frequency distribution tables (see Table 1). The first
type of data set that is mentioned is a discrete nominal data set that is graphically
displayed as a bar chart (see Figure 1), which displays the reoccurrence of each
category within the simple frequency table (see Table 2). The second data type
referenced is a discrete ordinal data set that was analyzed through a simple frequency
table. The simple frequency table allows for the conversion of the ordinal data into a
pie chart (see Figure 2), which measures the percentages within a four point Likert
Scale (see Table 3). The final data source is a continuous interval set, which was

I recently read two poems entitled Island Man and The Fringe Of The Sea . They
are both similar in theme, but they also have many differences. Both poems are
based on the emotions of people who live near the sea and their feelings towards it.
This theme relates to both of the authors, and connects them; the author of The
Fringe Of The Sea , A.L. Hendricks, was born in Jamaica and later in life moved to
Britain. Grace Nichols, author of Island Man , was born in Ghana and then also
immigrated to the UK.
Grace Nichols poem Island Man is about a Caribbean man who lives in London, but
still longs for his home and the sea. The poem follows the man as he wakes ... Show
These lines use enjambment for the effect of the lines flowing into each other to
make it seems like the sea. The first half flows smoothly, as does the second half,
except for the final word. The letter S is used in both halves to bring them together
to remind the readers of Islands Man closeness to the sea. The letter H ( head ) is a
break from the S s and therefore the rhythm is lost. The third line ( to the sound of
blue surf ) has alliteration of the letter S . The sound of this letter is very much like
that of the waves to remind the reader of the sea. To insure that this comes across to

women s sports, and the place that I was raised, as much as the independent
feminist spirit that my mom was exposed to and possessed. My mother s mom

With these independent values and the new women role models I had in sports, I
learned to be confident in the choices that I made and that I could make something
with my life with my athletic endeavors.
Growing up I was the first generation of girls to have women role models in sports.
For the first time I could watch a person of the same sex compete and succeed. In
1986 I was able to watch the US Women s Soccer National Team take home the first
gold metal in the sport of soccer. I watched these women that had a dream to play
and they made their respective dreams come true. In Mia Hamm s book she talked
about how the game of soccer to her was ultimate release and passion for her. Her
father allowed her to play with the boys and thought that this competitive spirit that
his daughter possessed was harmless and healthy (Mia 45). Little did he know that
his daughter would start a revolution that no man saw coming. These tom boys who
thought that they were the only girls playing sports opened up a whole new field of

Your heart is one of the most important organs in your body. However, there are

The complex idea of the meaning of life came to be first through the Hindu
teachings. The four main purposes of life are Dharma meaning to act virtuously and
righteously. Artha means the prosperity and successfulness in one s life. Kama
being the concept of whatever action a person makes, they will receive the same
back. Moksha is the proceeding of a spirit into another being according to their past
life.
Following the Hindus, then came the Dao teachings of life, using the five
elements earth,wind, fire, water, and air for fulfilling one s personal goal in
accomplishing a successful life. Through the use of the elements, Daoists have
found certain rules of nature that are shown in our human existence. Because of
the elements, our lives are constantly affected by outside forces and by nature
itself. Therefore knowledge of the principles of nature will help a person move
from being troubled by outside forces to being led by the natural inside forces that
