Linguistic Essay
Crafting a linguistic essay is no small feat; it requires a delicate balance of linguistic prowess,
analytical acumen, and a deep understanding of the subject matter. The difficulty lies not only in
presenting a coherent and well-structured argument but also in navigating the intricate nuances
of language itself. The challenge is to explore the multifaceted aspects of linguistics, ranging
from syntax and semantics to sociolinguistics and psycholinguistics.
One must grapple with the vast array of linguistic theories, historical developments, and
contemporary debates within the field. The task demands a meticulous examination of language
structures, phonetics, phonology, morphology, and syntax, all while considering the cultural,
social, and psychological dimensions that shape linguistic phenomena.
Moreover, the complexity of language and its ever-evolving nature adds another layer of
difficulty. To capture the essence of linguistic dynamism, an essayist must stay abreast of the
latest research, technological advancements, and global influences on language.
Crafting a compelling linguistic essay also necessitates a keen understanding of the diverse
applications of linguistics, from language acquisition to computational linguistics. The synthesis
of theoretical frameworks and practical applications requires a deft hand to present a well-
rounded perspective.
The challenge intensifies when one delves into the realm of comparative linguistics, exploring the
intricate connections and variations among different languages. Juggling the comparative analysis
of linguistic structures, historical linguistic evolution, and the cultural contexts in which
languages thrive demands a high level of expertise.
In conclusion, writing a linguistic essay is a formidable task that demands intellectual dexterity,
extensive research, and a nuanced understanding of language in all its dimensions. It is an
endeavor that not only requires mastering the technical intricacies of linguistic theory but also the
ability to weave together diverse threads of knowledge into a coherent and insightful narrative.

Software Systems Requirements Engineering
This paper presents an overview of software systems requirements engineering
(RE).The requirement engineering is the process of eliciting individual stakeholder
requirements and their needs and evolving them in depth. And then granted
requirements is documenting in a form that is responsive to analysis and
communication and specified that they can serve as the basis for all other system
development activities. This research paper provides a wide ranging and well
structured introduction to the fundamentals, principles, and techniques of
requirements engineering. In this paper they presents agreed techniques for eliciting,
negotiating and documenting as well as validating, and managing requirements for
software intensive systems. The various phases of the process and the techniques are
demonstrated using numerous examples and their work in industrial collaborations.
Their presentation aims at professionals, students, and lecturers in systems and
software engineeringdevelopment. The Professionals people such as software
architects, project managers, and software engineers will profit in their daily work
from the well presented mixture of validated measures and industrial experience.
Students and lecturers will appreciate the complete description of sound

Coca Cola And The Popular Soft Drink
Have you ever seen one of the aesthetically pleasing Coca Cola advertisements?
Chances are, whether it was on a billboard, Super Bowl commercial, or internet pop
up, you have seen the classic Cola Cola logo. Recently, a new advertisement has
leaked to the public, typically seen on t shirts. Although the advertisement appears in
the classic Coca Cola format, it boldly proclaims a different product than the popular
soft drink. In a non blasphemous analogy, the strange t shirt ad celebrates both Coca
Cola and JesusChrist s Presence in Holy Communion.
Before even an in depth look at the advertisement, one may be quick to conclude that
the t shirt bashes the mundanity of Coke, and instead, advocates a more
extraordinary and spiritual food. Coca Cola, with its finitude and temporary
satisfaction, could never compare to the Bread of Life. However, nowhere on the
advertisement can one find any derogatory statement about Coca Cola. Furthermore,
just because Coca Cola (and all material goods) cannot be placed in the same genus
of the Eucharist does not necessarily mean they are dishonorable. From a
theological point of view, all things were created by God, and by virtue of their
existence, they are good when properly appropriated. And Coca Cola is a delicious
drink enjoyed by many people! Therefore, it can safely be assumed that the
advertisement is a celebrated analogy, praising both the palatable soda and Holy
Communion, because they are, in fact, similar in a variety of
How Does Sheila Birling Change Throughout The Play
In this essay I will be comparing Sheila Birling and Lady Macbeth at the beginning,
middle and at the end of the two plays and how much power they have and how their
power changes throughout the play.
At the beginning of the play `An Inspector Calls , Sheila Birling is presented as a
typical Edwardian girl with very little power and gains more power throughout the
play. Whereas in the play `Macbeth , Lady Macbeth have more power over her
husband and as the play continues she becomes more typical with not much power.
At the beginning of the play `An Inspector Calls , Sheila Birling is presented as an
Edwardian woman with not much power but being the daughter of a prosperous and
hard headed businessman gives her a little power in the society. ... Show more content

At the middle of the play Sheila has gained more power. For example in act 2 when
Sheila tells her mother of by saying that impertinent is such a silly word and Mrs
Birling replies in any case Sheila says, But, mother, do stop before it s too late.
The word `stop tell us that she is now in more power and she is telling her mother
to stop talking to the inspector like this. This links with the play as Edwardian
woman are supposed to be non violent. Also she says, you wait mother. By using
the word `you she is commanding her mother and now she is making her own
decision. Before Sheila never talked to her mother like this, this shows that Sheila
has gained more power and can now stand out for herself and decide what is right
for her. On the other hand, Lady Macbeth is gradually losing her power. For
example in act 3 scene 2 she ask Macbeth What s to be done, Macbeth replies Be
innocent of the knowledge. The word `innocent suggest that Macbeth is not
involving Lady Macbeth in his plans and telling her to act more innocent.. This
shows that she has lost power because now Macbeth is in control and he is making
the important decision. Also, in act 3 scene 2 Lady Macbeth speaks to Macbeth
and says, you must leave this, and Macbeth replies O, full of scorpion is my mind,
dear wife The word `scorpion suggest that his mind is now full of evilness. This
tells us that Macbeth has stopped listening to his dear wife and he is now answering
back. We can clearly see that she has lost power over her husband. This links with the
play as Jacobean men made important
Golda Meeir Thesis
Intro thesis:
Jesse Owens once stated We all have dreams. But in order to make those dreams a
reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, self discipline, and effort. To change
the world, one must be strong willed, have self respect, and put in much toil. Golda
Mabovitch Meyerson or Golda Meir was born in Ukraine on May 3rd, 1898. She
was a politician, Zionist, and an educator. She created a Jewish homeland (Taitz
Henry, 1996), was Instrumental in the politics of Israel, and climbed the political
ladder to become Israel s first woman Prime Minister and only the worlds fourth
woman in power. She illuminated the world by giving the Jews a chance to live
without persecution and women a chance to see what they can do other than
traditional woman jobs.
Created
Although Golda Meir is not a very popular name you would hear every day, she
most certainly did enough to deserve recognition. She helped create a Jewish
homeland (Taitz Henry, 1996). In the Torah, the Jewish bible, God promised the
Israelites, old world Jews, a Promised Land or Eretz Israel. Since that was probably
around more than 5,000 years ago, and jews still didn t have their promised land,
Meir decided to take some action. Eventually, after some time and ... Show more

At the time, Jews and women were at the bottom of the social pyramid. Meir
wanted to become a teacher, but her parents disapproved of higher education for
women and urged her to get married instead. However, she refused and ran away to
her sister s house (Taitz Henry, 1996). While Meir was still at her sister Sheyna s
house, she listened to Zionist and anarchists whose debates helped refine Golda s
political philosophy. (Pogrebin, 2009). Pogroms, Organized massacre of a particular
ethnic group, and antisemitism were jew s worst enemies and it was hard to go
somewhere without something negative
Pottery In The Ming Dynasty
One of the major achievements during the Ming dynasty, regarding art, is pottery. By
1433 over 500,000 pieces were being produced each year. (Porcelain) During the Ming
dynasty, technique in glazing and sculpting advanced immensely. Colors became
more prominent, designs more detailed, and materials stronger with intriguing new
elements. Potterymade a big impact on the lives of the chinese people. They molded
their lives around these beautiful creations in many ways. During its time, the milky
white and cobalt blue porcelainwas the most internationally sought after of all
ceramics. The blue and white porcelain was not invented during the Ming dynasty,
but it was perfected. Clays were created that could be made into thinner vessels and
glazes were made with a purer, glossier finish. The designs grew to a wider range
of shapes and patterns for a more detailed finish. (Morris) The image on the left
shows a vase with expert brushwork of blue underglaze on a pure white porcelain. It
has lots of detailed patterns that are commonly found in all styles done at this time.
This is one of the most typical forms of pottery during the Ming Dynasty.
This piece can currently be found in at The Met Museum. It is called, Jar with
Dragon. A description of the piece writes about this style pot, arguably, being one of
the most most important development in the global history of ceramics. The
description talks this pot being made for the court, dating back to the rule of the
Xuande emperor, and the powerful dragon smoothly moving through a sky. They talk
about the the monstrous faces on the neck of the jar originating from the face of
glory that can be found in Indo Himalayan imagery and became popular in china in
the fifteenth century. (Jar)
Porcelain was also enriched with the innovation of five colored wares. Applying a
variety of over glaze pigments to decorative schemes of flower, landscape and
figurative scenes. (Chinese) Five colorware was applied in the 16th century in
stronger colors beautifully contrasted against a pure white background.(Silbergeld)
Looking to the image at the right, you can see a pot with a floral pattern painted in
shades of blue, green, red, brown, and yellow, all on a pure white base.
Lee Harvey s Assassination
Lee Harvey Oswald was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 18, 1939, and
was raised in Bronx, New York. Since his mother worked long shifts, young
Oswald was mostly left on his own. Usually spending time in the library or playing
hooky in his eighth grade classes. Oswald was eventually put into detention, where
his social worker described him as emotionally detached like a kid that nobody
cared about Later in life Oswald began to show an interest in the socialist literature,
that he used to read about in New York. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1956 and
became a good marksman, but was martialed twice for having an illegal weapon
and displaying violent behavior. He later ended his military service and traveled to
Moscow where he informed russian authorities that he wanted to join the Soviet
Union. Dissatisfied with life in the Soviet Union, Oswald left a year after marrying
Marina Prusakova in 1961, bringing her and their newborn daughter with him.
Their young family set up a home in Dallas Texas, and Oswald took up the alias of
Alex J. Hidell. In 1963 he ordered a .38 handgun and later a rifle via... Show more

of the bigger mysteries that comes to mind, as he constantly expressed to his

people over the years have theorized as to what Oswald s motive was, from being
hired by the FBI, to his love for communism. But in the end the most plausible
motive was that he did it to get his name in the history books, and I guess you could
say that he succeeded, but only in death. Oswald s funeral was a few days after

What Was The Impact Of Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was the leader of the African National Congress (ANC for short)
Youth League and the main protestor for black rights within South Africa. He later
went on to create the Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation), MK for short, in
December 1961. Mandela was later imprisoned in 1963 and remained there for
twenty seven years, being released in 1990. Four years later, Mandela became Prime
Minister of South Africa, from 1994 until 1999. Before Mandela was Prime
Minister, F.W. de Klerk was Prime Minister, running from 1989 to 1994. De Klerk is
best known for his help in ending apartheid; he helped end apartheid by releasing
their main campaigner from prison Nelson Mandela.

They had to push on however as they knew they were fighting for all coloured South
Africans.
When Mandela was placed in prison for twenty seven years, he had zero contact with
either the African National Congress or Umkhonto we Sizwe. This made it harder for
both organisations, as they didn t have any strong leaders (as most were imprisoned),
and for Mandela, he couldn t help protests and make the government abolish
apartheid. While in prison, Mandela helped protest and get better living conditions
for the jailed, also encouraging education and creating political debates with inmates.
He also managed to protest against apartheid whilst inside by not giving up to any of
the government demands. An example of this was when the government offered
Mandela freedom on numerous occasions, as long as he would stop the anti
apartheid campaigns, which he refused to do each time and remained in prison.
Throughout the course of the twenty seven years, Mandela never once stopped
protesting for the end of apartheid, which dramatically helped the fall of apartheid
rule.
Mandela being imprisoned put pressure on the government as it created enormous
riots and major protests throughout South Africa, which were extremely difficult for
the government to stop. Mandela was the anti apartheid leader because of his actions
and was an internationally famous icon and had much respect worldwide. The
It Trolls For Thee Essay
The internet and the people on it can be very crucial. Social media allows people to
express themselves in ways they feel can t in the actual world. They express their
feelings, their open to their own opinions, and so forth. However, the internet also
consists of people who give unnecessary, mean, and hateful opinions to other
people for reasons that no one truly understands. The podcast Act One. Ask Not
For Whom The Bell Trolls; It Trolls for Thee by Lindsey West, is about a female
who was constantly getting backlashed over the internet by whom she referred to
as trolls. The internet is usually where people go to voice their opinions over what
they feel is right or wrong; with Lindsey West, she had voiced her opinion and what
she felt was wrong about male comedians using the rape term too often and using

The man had reached out to West, they spoke and he told her that when he was
writing the negative comments about her, he was going through a rough time. His
significant other had just left him, he was uncomfortable in his body, and when he
read her post about her accepting her weight and who she is, it made him rage
because he felt threatened. After West and her troll spoke, he apologized and she
forgave him, she gave him the benefit of the doubt that he had changed for the
better. She liked her troll regardless of what he did and how he made her felt.
People on the internet make uncivilized comment to people who s confident to make
their insecurity less tormenting. Like the man who trolled West, he did what he did

Prufrock
T.S. Eliot s poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock examines a single character,
Prufrock, who has been influenced by three very different modes of thinking:
Romanticism, Realism, and Modernism. These influences cause inner conflict
within the character that he struggles to overcome throughout the course of the
poem. Eliot s Prufrock is both psychologically and socially crippled because he
embodies both Romantic and Realist ideals, i.e. the heroism of the individual and
the awareness of insurmountable, objective realities, respectively, while possessing
the self conscious mind of a man influenced by a culture of Modernism. Robert
Cook, in his analysis, titled Emerson s Self Reliance, Sweeney, and Prufrock, of
Ralph Emerson s self reliant man, the epitome of a Romantic, and T.S. Eliot s
Prufrock, draws a number of distinctions between the two writers. He holds that
Prufrock is Eliot s more realistic response to Emerson s idealistic man. Ron Banerjee
examines the epigraphof the poem, which is a verse from Dante s Divine Comedy,
and, among other things, discovers how it illuminates the unchangeable reality of the
world around Prufrock. Romanticism heralds the heroism and nonconformity of the
noble individual. The desire to be great and known is innate to all men, including
Prufrock; however, Prufrock s crippling self consciousness disables him from
breaking away from society as the true Romantic man would strive to do. It is
evident by reading the poem that Prufrock
The Breakfast Club Essay
The Breakfast Club, released in 1985 by director John Hughes, is a film about five
high school students, from different social groups, and their bond over shared worries
and issues in Saturday morning detention. These students show the two main issues
of high school students: peer pressure and family issues. The film examines the
effects of these issues on student s everyday life and view on the world. Some of
these effects include bullying, contemplation of suicide, drugs, and depression. In
each of the characters, The Breakfast Club shows these negative effects on teenagers
and examines the concept of adulthood and fitting in from an adolescent perspective.
But not only that, The Breakfast Club condemns the existence of these problems...

Brian is insulted by this notion because he is aware that everyone has issues,
regardless of who they are. Claire is pressured by her friends to act cool . Brian is

social norms, he conforms to them just like everyone and is pressured to be above it

problems, and in moving past our apparent differences, we can bond.
Each character is a representative of the various social hierarchies in a high school
setting and although each of their problems are specific to their individual
lifestyle, they all overarch and connect with the others. A famous scene of The
Breakfast Club is the floor sharing scene, when all of the pretense is stripped away

scene, the effects of peer pressure are shown. When asked on why he was in

soon took a dark turn. When stripping off the tape, hair and skin was removed as

Argumentative Essay On Why Polar Bears Are Important
Today
Polar bears are one of the endangered species today. There are about 25,000 polar
bears alive today (Ryan). The population has gotten bigger in time; in 1970 the
population was very low. Polar Bears are very large animals and they are carnivorous.
They like icy habitats and have thick fur. A group of polar bears are called a pack or
sleuth (Beening). You can help polar bearto not be endangered by not hurting them.
Polar bears are unlike brown bears they do not hibernate (Beening). Polar bears
sometime swim for their food. They can swim at a speed of 6 mph, and are
sometime called sea bears because they can swim so fast (Beening). They can swim
for 60 miles without rest. Their nose is very powerful they can smell their food 20
miles away. When they aren`t hunting they are sleeping. Polar bears rest up to 20
hours a day. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Polar bear eat fish, seals, whales, and bird eggs if they cannot find something
different. How they get their prey is by waiting at breathing a hole and wait on a
seal to come up. Sometime they cannot find something to eat, and they can stay
alive on their body fat. But they have to find food soon or they can die. They can
smell their prey on ice about 20 miles away (Beening).Their habit is very cool and
icy. They clean themselves by rolling in the snow. And their feet are made with built
in socks so their feet did not get cold.
Female polar bears, start having babies at around 4 or 5 years of age (Wildlife). They
can have 2 to 3 cubs. The babies are called cubs, when the cubs are born they are
smaller then a human baby. They are the size of a rat, and when they are full size
they are as big as a full size man. Polar bear lives up to the age of 25 year of age.70
% of the polar bears do not live to be 3 years old
The Ways Of Today s Society
The ways of today s society are a trap to the common child. One cannot go out in
public without seeing at least one child using some form of technology. When most
are used to seeing children playing in their front yards or on a playground as they
once did, they have a sudden awakening when they realize, most children are not like
that anymore. Modern cultureis a corruption to one s childhoodand causes a child to
be unsocial, unhealthy, and constantly pressured to follow the newest trends in social
media, however, certain TV shows and websites have been known to try and educate
children. Because of modern technology, kids are becoming more and more unsocial.

Children are not able to develop the social skills that they are supposed to when
they do not get out and play with other adolescents or even interact with their own
family. Because of the fact that kids are sitting inside for so long, they often
become quite unhealthy. As someone sits there for a while, they feel the urge to
snack on foods. Most often, the foods they are snacking on are junk food. Since they
are looking mindlessly at a screen, children find themselves subconsciously eating.
Junk food such as chips and candy can become addictive and it is difficult to stop
eating once started. Not only does the food they eat cause the children to be
unhealthy, but they are also not getting out and being physically active. Children s
developing sensory, motor, and attachment systems have biologically not evolved to
accommodate this sedentary, yet frenzied and chaotic nature of today s technology.
Young children require 2 3 hours per day of active, rough and tumble play to achieve
adequate sensory stimulation to their vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile systems.
Tactile stimulation received through touching, hugging and play is critical for the
development of praxis, or planned movement patterns (The Impact of Technology on
the Developing Child). It is necessary for children to be physically active and play, as
it helps with their physical and mental development.
Celebrities, music, and all of the social media platforms constantly create new

Assisted Suicide Should Be Allowed
What is it like to live in the shoes of a terminally ill person? A sparse amount of
people can relate. We often see terminally ill people as people who endure great

No one chooses to have an illness that leaves them at a state of life that is no type
of great caliber. A select few know what it is like to relate to someone who is
diagnosed as terminally ill. As a society we must learn to sympathize and relate to
the people who suffer more than we would in a given life time. We need to provide
comforting care to these people and help them make a decision they and their
family will ultimately be comfortable and relieved with. The debate of who
chooses when a terminally ill patient should be allowed to die, should be in no
question other than the terminally ill. The fourteenth amendment provides the
rights of equal opportunity and quality of life. A person should be allowed to
decide when they want to die. Only five out of the 50 states in the United States
allow for a terminally ill patient to decide when it is okay to relieve their pain and
suffering. California being one of the five states provides this option of choices to
continue treatments and trials or end life in peace and harmony. A person who is

When it comes to death, doctors and people of the medical staff often try to keep

Market Revolution And The Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution during the 19th Century led to the rapid expanse of cotton
production in America. Several new inventions began to be used which could more
efficiently use cotton and other similar materials to aid in the production of textiles.
During that time, the textile industry was big and the demand for cottoncontinued to
grow however the price of cotton never increased to match the demand. Slaves
were taken advantage of and because their labor was so cheap it was beneficial to
slave owners to collect cotton using slave labor and trade the cotton for a profit.
Great Britain was the worlds most powerful country and a large part of that
countries industrial life was cotton textiles. America became Britain s biggest trade
partner for cotton and the increase in trade allowed America to build on its own and
gain a bigger variety of goods through trade. The cotton industry was one of the
biggest influences of America s growth in the 19th Century and slave labor was used
to ensure its expansion could continue throughout the years.
Mass production was a major technological achievement all over the world especially
in newly developing areas. Factory jobs were becoming wildly available and the
demand for the materials used in these factories increased exponentially. The southern
states were more focused on gaining profit through agriculture, however the tobacco
economy in these states was beginning to fail. With the rise of the textile industry,
these same states

Conscious Social Equity
An Assessment of an Ecological Diverse Green School: A Part of Conscious Social
Equity Introduction In ecology, all relationships are inversely related to diversity
(Finkel, Early, and Fuller, 1998). From this analogy McMahon, Mason, Daluga
Guenther, and Ruiz (2014) perceived schools as ecosystems. The basis for this
assumptions follows the principle of ecology which states that schools are an
interconnected to a web of subsystems (p.460). Moreover, within the schools
subsystems a diverse amount of laws, policies, and practices are applicable to the

policies by crediting the federal agencies as leaders for environmental justice
strategizing for corrective actions. I concur with Congress that [equity justifies
federal support for high quality public schools (House Report 111 100, 2009 sec. 3).
Since Congress has highlighted the importance of federal investment in public

Schools Facilities Act (H.R. 3021) has enacted policies by which states can set higher

Life Of Frederick Douglas And Benito Cerano Essay
Education Frees the Mind and Body
Until justice is blind to color, until education is unaware of race, until opportunity
is unconcerned with the color of men s skins, emancipation will be a proclamation
but not a fact (Lyndon B. Johnson). Frederick Douglas and Herman Melville lived
in the same time for almost the same length of time. Herman Melville lived from
August, 1819 September 28, 1891, while Frederick Douglass lived from February,
1818 February 20, 1895. Yet these two narratives couldn t have been more
different. While taking a look at the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas and
Benito Cerano we can see these two insights of their world. I will be delving into
how these two narratives show the condoning of racialized slavery, the endorsing of
rebellion, and their individual perspectives. There is one thing that combines these
two and that is their education. Education is what shifts the mind from the mind of
a brute regardless of color to the level of where color and racism don t exist. If
there is one thing that racism needs it needs support and to be condoned because
without it this, it no longer exists and both Frederick Douglass and Herman Melville
show how racialized slavery at this time was condoned and accepted and why.
Herman Melville shows how the use of stereotypes condoned racism and this quote
supports this.
If on a voyage he chanced to have a black sailor, invariably he was on chatty, and
half gamesome terms with him. In fact, like most
Personal Statement Of Educational Goals And Philosophy
I believe each student deserves the right to feel safe and comfortable mentally,
physically, and emotionally in the school environment; especially in my own
classroom.
I believe it is my responsibility to create a space where each and every student feels
comfortable to share their ideas, thoughts, and questions.
I believe in helping my students to develop a strong work ethic. I want to motivate
students to take ownership of their learning (Goal 9).
I believe good teachers are enthusiastic and capable of conveying their enthusiasm to
students; constantly look for ways of improving their teaching and trying to keep
abreast of developments in their subjects; and are sufficiently mindful and self aware
to be able to laugh at themselves.

The Four Powers Of The WitchesTemple
Also known as, the Four Powers of the Witches Temple, the Witch s Pyramid, is the
basis for all magickal work, symbolizes the belief that is required to create magick
and the traits to be accepted by all witches. It is the learning tool for pupils of the
Craft. There are four declarations that epitomize The Witch s Pyramid: To Know,
To Will, To Dare, and To Keep Silent. Each one of the influences is linked with a
direction as well as an element. each of these powers can be applied as a way of
seeing a method to study. In order for a Witch to have a perfect understanding of
anything, all these powers should be present.
Nescere To Know: Corresponds to the direction of the East and the element of Air. It
is the first pillar. As witches, we pledge to a lifetime search of knowledge. This
knowledge can be extended from books, experience, teachers, and so on. It has long
been said, knowledge is power. This is so true. To be better witches, we need to
continue to improve ourselves. When starting an education of the Craft, we, as
Witches must know our information. As Air is related to communication,
consciousness, and the intelligence, this is where the simple school like information
is learned. Starting with in what way do you perform a basic ritual? the planetary
correspondences, what the Esbats and Sabbats are, this goes on. For the most part
this comes from studying, asking questions, reading and talking with others. Since

The Eiffel Tower And Architect Gustave Eiffel
Name of structure
The famous structure I have selected is the Eiffel tower, named after and built by an
engineer Gustave Eiffel who was French.
Location
The Eiffel tower was oriented/built on the end of the champ de Mars near the Seine
river on the left in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, France. The address of the
Eiffel tower is Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France.
Exact height
Many people, tourists and communities are amused by the fact the height of the Eiffel
tower has lately (in 1957) increased by 39 feet (11.8872 metres) because an Antenna
has been constructed on top of the original Eiffel tower to increase its height. Gustave
Eiffel had a desire of making the Eiffel tower taller after all the structures that have
been built throughout History, he wanted the Eiffel tower to fabricate development
through its height. The exterior height of the Eiffel towers measures 1024 feet tall
(312.1152 metres) excluding the antennas. Currently, the exact height of the Eiffel
tower measures 1063 feet (324. 0024 metres) including the antennas that were
constructed on top.
Dimensions
The Eiffel tower is one of the world s tallest structure ever built. The Eiffel tower
has a height of 312.1152 metres excluding the antennas and the height with the
antennas that was constructed in 1957 is 324.0024 metres. The exterior base of the
Eiffel tower is in a shape of a square which measures 124.90 metres by 124.90 metres.
The interior base of the Eiffel tower is
Persuasive Essay On Immigration Law
Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants travel legal and illegal, from
around the world, come into the United States. The destination that attract some
individuals or group to leave their home are for better economic opportunities, higher
standards of living, and freedom. Immigration has been the defining characteristic of
America long before the country even began. It s important to remind ourselves of
our rich history of where it all started. We all came from different places of the world
to create this multicultural groups of people that is in the United Statesin the 21st
century. While Immigrationpolicies have been perfected over the decades, the Trumps
administration attempts to abolish those laws that have been in place by prioritizing
on the value of immigrants, prohibit the travel of Muslim countries from entering the
United States and end a government program which thousands of young immigrants
can face deportation.
A proposed change in immigration law announced by president the Trump
administration would have a critical impact in the way possible immigrants are
selected and become citizens. No longer would America be a place for people that
had the desire to come for equal opportunity. Instead, America would largely focus on
the skilled, higher earning and English speaking immigrates. Trump states that this
change will benefit struggling America families by putting their needs first and
Americas needs first. This bill propose will include a limit on

slavery in America in the antebellum by late eighteenth century and before the
antebellum crisis as discussed in Paul Finkelman s book: Defending Slavery. This
paper will summarize the first part of book taking as a main topic racial aspects of
the slavery. After the introductory summary , this paper will focus in two specific
sections found in the second part of the book: Religion and Slavery and Racial

All of these documents were intended to support the theory that black race was not
only different that white race but their origins came from different roots.
Cartwright and Nott had similar approach. Their explanation from the biological
standpoint was in some point linked to a religious interpretation of then bible.
Thus, Cartwright depicts the origin of the three most predominant racial groups on
Earth: Asian, Europeans and Blacks. He cites the Book of Genesis with the story
of Noah and his three sons nd their settlements in three different geographical areas:
North of Europe, Asia and Africa. According to Cartwright s biblical interpretation,
this last continent was occupied by Cannan and his descendents were not only
black race but also were designated by God;s will to be servant. Josiah Nott
extensively wrote papers about race. His argument were based on a theory known
as polygenesis. Nott claimed that there had been multiple creations producing
superior and inferior races and black race was destined to permanent inferiority.
George Fitzhugh s sociological opinion about slavery were irrational; he stated that
slavery was the most perfect institution ever created In his eyes it is the most perfect
institution ever created. Southern slavery is perfect, because like the family dog,

Middle School Memory
Most of my middle school Memory was sports and making friends while playing
sports. I didn t have very many friends when I first came to middle school and I
wasn t always very athletic. I became interested in cheer in 6th grade, so I tried out
and it turns out I actually made it. I gained a lot of friends from participating in this
sport, so I tried out for volleyballnext. All of my friends were doing it and I thought it
would be fun. It turned out to be the best experience to share with all of my middle
school friends, so I continued these sports throughout 8th grade and hope to continue
in high schoolalso. In cheer, we would practice at least once a week after school,
sometimes more. We would go to the locker room s to set our stuff down and
change into shorts and shoes. Everyone would go either into the gym or in the lobby;

However, on Football game days, we would go up to Mrs. Boban s room to get ready
and then on to the buses to go to the high school. When we get to the high school,
we stretch and go over our cheers there. Now Volleyball was just as fun, but it was
way different. In volleyball we would have practice almost everyday of the week to
prepare for our games and learn the spots we would play on the court. We would go
to different schools to play against them in games, but in cheer we never went to
other schools to cheer at games. Our volleyball team lost our first two games, but
after that we practiced everyday and went the rest of the season, eleven games,
undefeated. On the way back home from the volleyball games it was late, but we
would stop at a fast food restaurant to get something to eat. Therefore, I usually got
home from volleyball late which messed up my school work. Theses two sports in
my Middle School experience provided me with many friends. I enjoyed these two
hobbies a lot because I learned a lot about
The Impact Of Technology On Education
On a daily basis, both businesses and individuals rely on technology. It cannot be
denied that technology has become part of our everyday life. As individuals, we all
depend on technology, either for education, health purposes, transportation,
communication, romantic relationships, and/or business growth . It is impossible to
explore how each advancement in technology has impacted our lives as well as how
it will impact the future, but we can briefly explore the major advancements.
Technology impacts the environment, people individually, and the society as a whole.
As we navigate through the 21st century, technology in the classroom is becoming
further predominant. iPads are replacing our textbooks, and we can research any
desired topic on our smartphones. The impact that technology has had on today s
schools has been utterly momentous. Educators have now seen firsthand the
numerous benefits of technology in the classroom. According to a study by IT Trade
Association CompTIA, around 75 percent of educators have come to the conclusion
that technology has a positive impact on the education process. Educators have also
recognized the significance of developing these technological skills in students so
they will be prepared to enter the workforce after they graduate (Cox). By
incorporating technology in the classroom, teachers are setting our students up for a
successful life outside of school. The increase of technology has even changed how
teachers teach along with how
Opal Mining Of Australi The Mining Capital Of The World
Opal Mining in Australia
Australia contains a lot of opal, especially in South Australia producing an estimated
95 97% of the world s opal supply. All of the opal mines in Australia are located in
the Artesian Basin which contains many mining towns such as Lightning Ridge,
Andamooka, White Cliffs and Coober Pedy, which has been called the mining capital
of the world.
All of these towns are situated in Australia s outback, the land mostly consisting of
barren dry rock and dirt. But hiding in the endless dusty land and rocks are masses of
Opal. Coober Pedy, Lightning Ridge, and Andamooka are home to many Opal mines,
most of which are underground mines. The whole of Coober Pedy has many
underground mines for opals extending out 40kms around the town with over
200,000 mine shafts which can be up to 27m deep. Andamooka another prominent
mining town has 52km2 of mines both underground and open mines, three to ten
meters deep into the seabed.
In all of these rural mining towns there is not that much infrastructure due to the
small populations and most residents will either be in the mining or tourism
industry. This is good for mining as more of the land is able to use to mine the
opals. In Coober Pedy a lot of residents live in underground homes called dugouts
because of the harsh hot weather in Coober Pedy. This meant that there was no
concern for the underground mines as they did not interfere with residential living
space, in fact many homes were made out of old mines. There

By minimizing the exchange rate uncertainty, foreign business of the home country
is enhanced and can attract more funds as investments. Smoothening currency
movements tends to reduce fears in the financial markets and speculative activity that
might lead to heavy decline in value of the currency. However, speculation can only
be expected to smooth exchange rate movements if underlying economic processes
are relatively stable. If there is a great deal of uncertainty over future government
actions and their economic impact, expectations will not be strongly held. Thus
expectations can change dramatically from day to day, leading to rapidly fluctuating
exchange rates.
2. The government of Asian country should not allow their currencies to float
freely as it may leads to critical problems to the country. Free floating currency
policy may trigger speculation on currency that can bring about financial crisis.
For example, the financial crisis of Asia countries in 1997, the most famous
speculator George Soros had benefited billions of money by going short of the
Asian countries currency which result collapse of the country economy.
Furthermore, we take China as another example. The growth rate of China GDP is
9.30% in 2011, the main force of the high growth GDP in China is export of good
and services which mainly due to the low price or the low exchange rate of currency.
Free floating currency will bring RMB
The Bears Of British Columbia
1. Connor Baldwin Discusses the Bears of British Columbia
As a media and public relations agent for the Canadian Province of British
Columbia, Connor Baldwin has spent many years photographing the bears of the
region. There are two distinct species of bear that are native to British Columbia, the
Grizzly Bear and the Kermode Bear. Each of these bear species are unique, and
important to the wildlife and ecology of their habitat.
The Grizzly Bear, or Ursus arctos horribilus, is the second largest land based
carnivore in all of North America. It has a life expectancy of twenty years, and the
average male Grizzly Bear can reach an astounding three hundred fifty kilograms.
While there are many bears that have the same brown coloring as the Grizzly, these
are easily spotted due to their anatomy. The Grizzly Bear has a large hump or
protrusion on its back, near the area of the shoulder blades. This mass of tissue and
muscle helps to support the enormous front legs of the bear. Other distinctive
characteristics of the Grizzly Bear include a concave snout, extremely long claws,
and poor eyesight. Though dark brown is the most commonly viewed fur color, the
Grizzly can be any shade from ivory to nearly black.
The Kermode Bear, also known as the Ghost Bear or Spirit Bear, is a cultural
symbol for the British Columbia Province. This white bear, is actually a black bear
that carries a recessive gene. Both of the Kermode Bear s parents must carry the gene
for their offspring to have the

Speech On Lactose Intolerance
Good morning Miss B and class. Lactose intolerance is often mistaken as an allergy,
but it is rather an intolerance of lactose.
An intolerance is a hypersensitivity to certain food or ingredient. It is not as serious
as an allergy as it does not involve and immune system response. It causes symptoms
and their severity ranges as to how much is ingested. These symptoms can be:
Digestive problems, gas build up, cramps, bloating. People with an intolerance of a
substance can ingest small quantities of it.
An allergy is where the immune system reacts to a specific food and regards it as
harmful or toxic. The body produces antibodies in response to the allergen and if the

It is done by doing the hydrogen breath test. It measures the amount of hydrogen
exhaled after drinking a lactose beverage. Lactose which is undigested is fermented
in the colon and these bacteria produce hydrogen which s exhaled. If you have
higher levels of hydrogen exhaled after 90 minutes of drinking the lactose drink, you
are then classified as being lactose intolerant.
People must be aware of the risk factors if diagnosed with lactose intolerance,
Consuming lactose products will cause discomfort. Children that are lactose
intolerant have a higher risk of getting rickets and hampered tooth formation, and
therefore need to be put on supplements in extreme cases. Adults must be aware of
getting osteoporosis.
Managing with lactose intolerance can be tricky to juggle. People are encouraged to
find a level of lactose that they can handle without having symptoms, through trial
and error. When consuming lactose, it is recommended to have it with a meal as it
slows down the digestive process. Cheeses and yoghurts contain less lactose than
milk and could be a better way of introducing calcium to your diet. Know medication
that contains lactose and read food

either failed to seek treatment or demonstrated mental health symptoms 2 years after.
Adding to that, other research has indicated various concerns of diseases as a result

those who demonstrated symptoms of mental health issues and were not seeking

Art Of Evoking Nature s Majesty Within A Tight Space
A Japanese garden embodies the art of evoking nature s majesty within a tight space.
Throughout 5th to 8th century Japanese gardens sprung up for ritual purposes. From
the late 8th to the 12th century the Japanese gardens started to become more of
aesthetic and social piece. These Japanese gardens hold many styles and elements.
What make a Japanese gardenso special are the natural materials, evoking the beauty
of nature on a smaller scale. They re three types of Japanese gardens the most
common of the gardendesign possesses a stream or pond lying in the center
surrounded mounds of earth, both serving as a comparison an ocean to a mountain.
The second is a dry garden also known as Zen gardens, having no water; instead the
water is characterized by the arrangements of rocks and gravel. The third style is a
tea garden developed as an extension of the tea ceremony. The tea garden gives an
illusion of a deep forest. Japanese hold three fundamental elements water, stone, and
trees, displaying the natural landscape of Japan.
Through the 5th to 8th century Japanese there have been a few archeological sites for
Japanese gardens, many of the gardens are problematic to date. During the late Nara
period (8th century) they re timeworn texts that mention some significance for
Japanese gardens. There also important religious influences on the Japanese gardens,

These partnerships are similar to marriages in that way that gay or lesbian couples,
more or less, get the same legal treatment as married heterosexual couples.
However, a civil partnership is not the same as a marriage. This indicates that single
sex couples and heterosexual couples are still not being treated equally. While, in
reality, this is all single sex couples want: to be treated as everyone else.
It is important to Farage that the debate is delayed untill the United Kingdom is no
longer part of the European Union, because his party believes that everyone s
wishes and ideals should be respected. This means those of the people who are
against single sex marriages and those of the people who are in favour of them.
However, the marriages were approved and allowed on the 29th of March 2014.
But, it was made clear that there are some conditions. Something called the
quadruple lock has been introduced. This quadruple lock makes sure that every
religious group that does not want to conduct the weddings or does not want to
allow them on their property, has the right to refuse to do so. Only those who
approve and have explicitly stated that they want to conduct the single sex
marriages are allowed to perform them. This quadruple lock has been added to the
bill and makes sure that no religious group, for example the Chruch of England, can
ever be forced to conduct single sex marriages.

being considered as one of the most influential and significant composers of the
Western classical music, he was also known as one of the three composers part of
First Viennese School composers, which also included Mozart and Beethoven. He
composed The PianoSonata in E flat major, Hob. XVI:49, and dedicated it to Mrs.

written in his late period since it is one of his last piano sonatas. Composed for the
fortepiano, this piece can be described as incorporating the Viennese keyboard
style, as well as, many other musical ideas gathered by Hadyn in England. The
sonata is divided into 3 movements: Allegro, Adagio e cantabile and Finale: Tempo
di Minuet. He opened his first movement with a theme in a question and answer style
that evokes a dialogue. In this movement, the sense of humour and seriousness
expressed at the same time, makes the contrast more distinct. It also reflects the
introspection and determination. The second movement is in the ternary form
(ABA) and it has a singing style. It is in B flat major with highly decorated thematic
material, and the lyrical phrasing makes the piece tranquil and peaceful. The theme
is repeated in a more expressive manner and as it progresses to the middle of the
movement, it becomes contrasting. Touches of the tonic minor add a melancholic
feel to it, causing the mood to become dark.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Proceeding into the third movement, it has the traditional pattern of repetition of an
elegant dance, Minuet, which makes it dance like and lively through the use of

What Is The Cyclical Relationship Between Production
And...
What is the cyclical relationship between production and reproduction?
The cycle of food production and reproduction is caused by the fact that population
demands certain amounts of food to be produced. Then when the food supply
increases the population tends to increase to meet that level of production. This
cycle continues to repeat itself to meet the demands. Food production increases
cause creative thinking of how to improve the methods of production so that more
food is produced with little change in area needed to farm. The need for more food
production to be able to feed the children, it leads to people being willing to work
longer and harder to get the needed food. People who feel that food limits are
approaching also make changes on how to limit the demand by reducing births, or
learning how to keep food longer. Although the United States can make the changes
needed to supply food for our country it is not that simple. There is an unequal
distribution of foods and technologies that make getting the food to people that need
it is sometimes a bigger challenge. Other countries are not able to produce what they
need and also cannot get the food they need brought in easily. When a population
stabilizes the food production also stabilizes until there is an upsurge in the
population again.
What contributions did Ester Boserup make to Malthusian Theory?
Thomas Robert Malthus wrote An Essay on the Principle of Population to outline his
theory of population growth.
Cultural Competency On Healthcare Delivery
As the diverse populations of the United States (U.S.) continues to grow the need for
cultural competency in healthcare delivery requires culturally competent healthcare
providers. Each population has its own particular norms and practices that guide their
lifestyles; therefore, a challenge arises for healthcare providers to learn to provide
culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds (Waite and
Calamaro 2010). The ever changing population of the U.S. signifies a much needed
change in health care delivery to different cultures. The U.S. Bureau of Census (1992)
predicts that by the year 2020 only 53 % of the population will be of white European
decent. Unfortunately, the lack of culturally competent healthcare providers such as
nurses, leads to negative patient outcomes and low quality healthcare. Culturally
competent nurses are required to adequately treat our culturally diverse population.
Nurses are frontline patient advocates and education and training in cultural
competence is an intervention that will implement positive changes in healthcare
delivery in the U.S.
Definition of Cultural Competence
Professional nursing services provided utilizing cultural competence is a way of
providing healthcare to a diverse population without bias to patient s cultural beliefs.
Increasing cultural competence and providing culturally congruent care in nursing
can improve the quality of care and health outcomes (Ahmann 2002).

companies that have taken concrete steps to eradicate forced labor from their
supply chains. The event took place last Wednesday, November 30th in London
and this year s winners are NXP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This
recognition is an action resulted from last year s conference, in the discussions
and panels, and intend to be a way of showing the corporations that they have an
important role to play when referring to human rights. The award gives the
company an Anish Kapoor sculpture and the right to use the Stop Slavery Award
logo for a year. The award was separated into two different categories: Policy
Implementation and Transparency Response to Challenges. The winner of the first
category is NXP, a 6.1 million dollars annual revenue Dutch company. The
corporation was unanimously chosen by the board due to their anti slavery actions,
such as having their board directors and CEO signing off on all human traffic

Phonics Vs. Phonics And Synthetic Phonics Essay
Phonics are essential to literacy and children s ability to learn to read and write.
Phonics are a system of associating letter symbols with speech sounds (Orton, n.d.).
They have an important role in the Australian Curriculum and Reporting Authority:
phonics and word knowledge [ACARA]. There are two main concepts related to
phonicsthey are analytical phonics and synthetic phonics. Diana Rigg (2016) states
that direct systematic instruction in phonics during the early years of schooling is an
essential foundation for teaching children to read (para. 3). Phonics are used by
children to learn to read and to write, they include letter identification, onset and rime,
blends and the relationships between blends and phonemic awareness (Hill, 2012,
p.259) (Rigg, 2014). There are many teaching approaches that may be implemented to
teach phonics effectively. This essay will discuss, critique and analyse phonics their
importance and how different teaching approaches may be implemented to teach
phonics to students effectively. It will maintain that synthetic phonics have been
proven to be more successful in teaching children than analytical phonics, although it
is imperative to use both a synthetic and analytical approach to teaching children
phonics.
There are many aspects involved in phonics, phonics can be either analytical or
synthetic. According to Anne Bayetto (2013) the National ReadingPanel highly
recommends phonics along with phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary and
Preventing Fatal Driving Accidents by Teaching Teenagers...
In recent years, statistics show that over 5,000 teens per year are involved in fatal
accidents, in the United States. Some of these accidents are as simple as lack of
driving experience to quick access to full driving privileges at an early age, some
of these collision are life change or result in death. To reduces numbers of fatalities,
we most coach our youth to be safe driver. First step, as adult/parent(s) is let the child
show initiative in driving. This is important because the teen might not have an
interest in driving, when you(as the parent/adult) thinking they should be learningto
drive. Wait on the teen to show an interest in learning how to drive. I started teaching

Not want to overwhelm the teen with to much information dealing with the car, I
ended lesson after 15 to 20 minutes. Giving him time to retain and apply to next
lesson, to build confidence to drive with ease. The next lesson, I plan ahead to
drive in a empty parking lot so he can learn to make left and right turn with his
signals. This is showing him how to control a car by making smooth stop with the
car, backing up the car straight and safely while informing the other car use of his
next move. After many hours of no traffic in the empty parking lot it is time to
upgrade to the road and to slow moving cars. Making the interaction with other cars
means you need to learn some defensive driving skills such as; changing lanes, the
intersection, and maintaining safe driving distances from other cars. You want to
remember to do your lesson in the daylight in good weather because it make the
teen more focus on your words and what he/she is doing. In conclusion, all adult
/parent(s) should be active members in the a teen driving experience to ensure life
in the old and the young. Teen should have a clear understanding that driving is a
privilege and very serious situation that calls for them to be a safe driver. In recent
years, statistics show that over 5,000 teens per year are involved in fatal accidents,
in the United States. Some of these accidents are as simple as lack of driving
Demonstrate How To Properly Fit For A Bra
Topic: Bra Fitting
Purpose: Demonstrate how to properly fit for a bra
Thesis Statement: Wearing the correct size bra maintains breast health and can
improve your appearance. Good Morning Ladies and Gents! As you may know,
my name is Janell, and I am pleased to talk with you about a topic that is near and
dear to my heart: Bra Fitting! This may not pertain to the gentlemen here today but
it is useful information that you could pass along to the women in your life. I have
been working as bra fitter for the past six months with the company called Macy s.
Let me ask you a question: On average, what percentage of women are wearing the
wrong size bra? (Pause) According Wikipedia, 75 85% of women wear the wrong
size. For the next few ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, if you measured 31 inches, your band size should 32.If your
measurement is already an even number, this is almost always your band size, but
you may need a smaller or larger size depending on your body type.
* Measure your cup size. Measure completely around the fullest part of your bust. It
the number falls on a half inch, round up.
Now, Subtract your band size from your bust measurement Example: 34 inches
(band) 37 inches (bust) = 3 inches difference. For every inch it s a cup size (i.e. on
inch is an A cup, Two inches is a B cup, etc...) making this cup size a C. We have
now determined the size at being a 32C.
Before concluding my demonstration I would like review a couple things we
have learned today. We ve learned there are a large percentage of women who are
wearing the incorrect size bra. The best way to cure this is to get fitted! It only
takes a few minutes and there are many department stores that offer the service free
of charge. We have also learned that bra s should be comfortable and feel as though
you re not even wearing one. This again is achieved by being properly fitted. Fitting
yourself is easy and can be achieved with a couple of measurements and a little bit of
math skills. Just remember band size bust size= cup size! This concludes my
demonstration on bra fitting. I want to say thank you for listening and I appreciate
your kind attention.

My Personal Experience
Growing up I learned that I needed to mature at a younger age compared to my
peers. I understood that a low income, minority I needed to work hard to achieve my
goals. One experience that shaped my life happened this past year. It was the day My
family and I were being evicted from our home a couple of days before my birthday
and right before the holiday season. This made me stronger, but it also changed
something inside me. I learned that life isn t a game and that I should be grateful for
what I have, because one day I could lose it all.
A couple of days before my birthday, my mother asked me What do you want to do

A note was left at the door stating that we had until Christmas day to leave the
property. We had no idea what to do, where to go, or who to ask for help. My mom
fell into a deep depression knowing she couldn t do anything to stop this from
happening. I felt that my reaction had caused a lot of problems within my family. I
was very selfish, I didn t stop to think about how painful this situation was for my
family. I understood I couldn t celebrate my birthday anymore, consequently, now I
had other priorities. The well being of my family matter more. After a day of
challenging work, we sat on the floor and a feeling of nostalgia overpowered me. I
turned to my mom and asked: Why us mom? I had endless questions that neither I
or my mom could answer. We went on with the packing until we had every bit of
our stuff moved out. After waiting for months, we finally found a small place to live
in. Those long months taught us that everything happens for a reason, we managed
to get through the eviction. It made us strong enough to be prepared for anything
life threw at us. At this point in my life, I realized that I had to create my own path.
My sister had managed to graduate and continue her education at Franklin and
Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was my turn to create my own path. I

Case Study Ryanair
Ryanair The Low Fares Airline Case Analysis
Issues
In 1985, the Ryan family founded Ryanair to provide airline services between
Ireland and the United Kingdom. Ryanair s strategy is based on providing a no
frills service with low fares to stimulate demand. Ryanair s business level strategy is
cost leadership. Although the firm faces weaknesses and threats, their strategy has
created a competitive advantage. Ryanair s competitive advantage will weaken over
time due to vulnerability to fuel prices, ancillary charges, low employee satisfaction
and their negative brand image.
Analysis
Porter s Five Forces analysis is a tool to analyze the external environment in which an
industry operates. In the European airline industry, the threat of new entrants is low.
Entrants will need high capital investments to compete with existing firms. The
substitutes in the airline industry are the railway networks, rental cars and sea
transports. Rental cars and sea transports are more expensive than the airlines
therefore they don t pose a threat to the industry. It takes longer to reach a
destination by train than a plane, which causes the threat of railways be low.
Existing firms pose a threat to the industry because there are 35 firms operating in
the European airline industry, which creates intense price rivalry among firms.
Customers are price sensitive and customer can easily switch to another airline
causing the threat of buyers to be high. Suppliers can charge a high price for their

Mr.Jamin moved to Los Angeles 50 years, but he have only been to the park once.
According to him, it is a long story.
Mr.Jamin and his family planned to go to the park for fun at the first week after they

was the most beautiful and attractive park in America.
It was Sunday. The Jamins slept well. Their Sunday actually started at 2 pm when
they waked up. After a palatable brunch, they set out at 3 pm. It was almost rush
time. They finally arrived at the park at 5:01 only to find the park closed a minute
ago. Unfortunately, they had to turned around and go home. On the way home,
everyone was in a bad mood. Mr.Jamin suggested to be early next weekend.
A week later, the Jamins almost didn t sleep. This Sunday, they set out at 7 in the
morning. It was mild. What a nice day! It was no more than 2 km from the park.
The park was right in front of them. At a cross, they stopped, waiting to go straight.
What s better, there were only 2 cars. They didn t need to worry about getting stuck.
Listening to the DVD, they were all pleased. However, a truck driver who was still

Florida Californi A Great Impact On The Most Diverse...
California has been known for it s beautiful golden coast, stunning mountain ranges,
and the always wonderful sunny weather. The state houses the largest and second
most diverse population of people in the United States. The large diversity of the
people could be contributed by the vast differing landscapes that stretch across the
state. Northern Californiain particular, is home to a variety of enormous mountains,
mountain ranges, beautiful lakes, and forever flowing rivers. People come from all
over to witness these breathtaking views. As for Southern California the alluring
beaches, rolling grass valleys, and various other attractions make for a significant
difference to northern California. The difference in environments has a great impact
on the type of people that live in each region. An individual s race, ethnicity,
hobbies, political views, job, etc. all can have an impact on what area of California
they live in. Some people, including myself enjoy a lot of outdoor activities that fit
well in Northern California areas such as hunting, hiking, snowboarding, etc.
Meanwhile, people that live in southern California may have much different outdoor
hobbies due to the change in climate. The contrast between north and south almost
creates a split in the state. In 1941, the proposal of a new state, named the State of
Jefferson would take the very upper most part of California and the southern most
part of Oregonto create a 51st state. Today, that proposal has

Advertisement Analysis
Expenditure on UK television advertising in 2002 was ВЈ3.7 billion. This comes as
no surprise considering the overwhelming effect advertising can have on its
audience. Adverts can have an effect on our subconscious by using different
techniques such as offering us not just a product, but a lifestyle. They give us
motivation to buy a product: Wearing this perfume will make you more attractive,
eating this food will make you funnier, your children will love you more if you buy
them this toy. Every one of our emotions is played on so that we will feel obligated
to buy the product.

The first, LancГґme Paris Teint RГЁnergie Lift , is a foundation which claims to
firm and reduce lines on your skin. It uses some copy but generally, the effect of the
advert comes from the picture which takes up about two thirds of the A4 sized
advert. The picture is of a woman tying the foundation to a rose with a piece of
gossamer fabric. This picture is extremely persuasive and each object shown implies
something different about the product.
The woman pictured has very subdued make up, the advert s intention is not to
make her look exciting and full of personality like many make up adverts, but to
make her fresh faced and young to appeal to the correct target market slightly older
women perhaps entering their forties. The advert also uses a certain level of
sophistication to reach this market. The woman is looking directly at her audience,
her expression is confident and engaging to draw us in to the advert.
The rose carries with it many connotations. The rose is generally associated with
love and beauty. It implies youth and has a very powerful impact. It being tied to the
foundation shows its closeness and similarity to the product and so the connotations
are carried through. The colour of the rose is also very

Cultural Backgrounds Of Urban Societies
In urban societies, crimes rates are always high. Big cities with a large number of

that effect policedecisions. Citizens of this country need to be aware of how

and analyze if potential police salaries in large cities plays a role in decision making.
Questions in urban areas arise of out frustration as to why the main targets of African

On the surface, a good number of films produced by Tim Burton prompt similar

film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, I found my initial
impressions of the typically grim director to be baseless and skewed. From being
introduced to songs like No Place Like London and my personal favorite, A Little
Priest, to the surreal interpretation of lust, loss, and revenge; Burton s establishes his
take on mischief, malice, and meat pies through each individual scene and character
development. Moreover, each musical number complements not only the twist and

most is The Contest, not because it is centered on this scenario, but because the
visionaries of the play and film adaption did an excellent job in portraying the times
of penny dreadfuls. This is also where we get to see a contrast between characters
Todd vs. Adolfo. Coincidentally, Adolfo had previously worked for Sweeney Todd
and attempted to blackmail him, but was eventually murdered by Todd.
Sweeney Todd s friend Anthony, the boy who accompanied him on the ship back to
London, informs Todd of his plan to elope with Todd s daughter, Johanna, which
places him in direct competition with Judge Turpin for Johanna s hand in marriage.
Judge Turpin finally finds his way into the clutches of Sweeney Todd, but before

Johanna. Judge Turpin storms out and Sweeney Todd drives Anthony from the

decides that all people deserve to die: the wealthy for their sins and corruption and
the poor to be taken out of their misery. Thus ends the first act of the play.

  • 4. Coca Cola And The Popular Soft Drink Have you ever seen one of the aesthetically pleasing Coca Cola advertisements? Chances are, whether it was on a billboard, Super Bowl commercial, or internet pop up, you have seen the classic Cola Cola logo. Recently, a new advertisement has leaked to the public, typically seen on t shirts. Although the advertisement appears in the classic Coca Cola format, it boldly proclaims a different product than the popular soft drink. In a non blasphemous analogy, the strange t shirt ad celebrates both Coca Cola and JesusChrist s Presence in Holy Communion. Before even an in depth look at the advertisement, one may be quick to conclude that the t shirt bashes the mundanity of Coke, and instead, advocates a more extraordinary and spiritual food. Coca Cola, with its finitude and temporary satisfaction, could never compare to the Bread of Life. However, nowhere on the advertisement can one find any derogatory statement about Coca Cola. Furthermore, just because Coca Cola (and all material goods) cannot be placed in the same genus of the Eucharist does not necessarily mean they are dishonorable. From a theological point of view, all things were created by God, and by virtue of their existence, they are good when properly appropriated. And Coca Cola is a delicious drink enjoyed by many people! Therefore, it can safely be assumed that the advertisement is a celebrated analogy, praising both the palatable soda and Holy Communion, because they are, in fact, similar in a variety of
  • 5. How Does Sheila Birling Change Throughout The Play In this essay I will be comparing Sheila Birling and Lady Macbeth at the beginning, middle and at the end of the two plays and how much power they have and how their power changes throughout the play. At the beginning of the play `An Inspector Calls , Sheila Birling is presented as a typical Edwardian girl with very little power and gains more power throughout the play. Whereas in the play `Macbeth , Lady Macbeth have more power over her husband and as the play continues she becomes more typical with not much power. At the beginning of the play `An Inspector Calls , Sheila Birling is presented as an Edwardian woman with not much power but being the daughter of a prosperous and hard headed businessman gives her a little power in the society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the middle of the play Sheila has gained more power. For example in act 2 when Sheila tells her mother of by saying that impertinent is such a silly word and Mrs Birling replies in any case Sheila says, But, mother, do stop before it s too late. The word `stop tell us that she is now in more power and she is telling her mother to stop talking to the inspector like this. This links with the play as Edwardian woman are supposed to be non violent. Also she says, you wait mother. By using the word `you she is commanding her mother and now she is making her own decision. Before Sheila never talked to her mother like this, this shows that Sheila has gained more power and can now stand out for herself and decide what is right for her. On the other hand, Lady Macbeth is gradually losing her power. For example in act 3 scene 2 she ask Macbeth What s to be done, Macbeth replies Be innocent of the knowledge. The word `innocent suggest that Macbeth is not involving Lady Macbeth in his plans and telling her to act more innocent.. This shows that she has lost power because now Macbeth is in control and he is making the important decision. Also, in act 3 scene 2 Lady Macbeth speaks to Macbeth and says, you must leave this, and Macbeth replies O, full of scorpion is my mind, dear wife The word `scorpion suggest that his mind is now full of evilness. This tells us that Macbeth has stopped listening to his dear wife and he is now answering back. We can clearly see that she has lost power over her husband. This links with the play as Jacobean men made important

Since his mother worked long shifts, young Oswald was mostly left on his own. Usually spending time in the library or playing hooky in his eighth grade classes. Oswald was eventually put into detention, where his social worker described him as emotionally detached like a kid that nobody cared about Later in life Oswald began to show an interest in the socialist literature, that he used to read about in New York. He joined the U.S. Marines in 1956 and became a good marksman, but was martialed twice for having an illegal weapon and displaying violent behavior. Many people over the years have theorized as to what Oswald s motive was, from being hired by the FBI, to his love for communism. But in the end the most plausible motive was that he did it to get his name in the history books, and I guess you could say that he succeeded, but only in death. While in prison, Mandela helped protest and get better living conditions for the jailed, also encouraging education and creating political debates with inmates. He also managed to protest against apartheid whilst inside by not giving up to any of the government demands. An example of this was when the government offered Mandela freedom on numerous occasions, as long as he would stop the anti apartheid campaigns, which he refused to do each time and remained in prison. Throughout the course of the twenty seven years, Mandela never once stopped protesting for the end of apartheid, which dramatically helped the fall of apartheid rule. Mandela being imprisoned put pressure on the government as it created enormous riots and major protests throughout South Africa, which were extremely difficult for the government to stop. • 11. Prufrock T.S. Eliot s poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock examines a single character, Prufrock, who has been influenced by three very different modes of thinking: Romanticism, Realism, and Modernism. These influences cause inner conflict within the character that he struggles to overcome throughout the course of the poem. Eliot s Prufrock is both psychologically and socially crippled because he embodies both Romantic and Realist ideals, i.e. the heroism of the individual and the awareness of insurmountable, objective realities, respectively, while possessing the self conscious mind of a man influenced by a culture of Modernism. Robert Cook, in his analysis, titled Emerson s Self Reliance, Sweeney, and Prufrock, of Ralph Emerson s self reliant man, the epitome of a Romantic, and T.S. Eliot s Prufrock, draws a number of distinctions between the two writers. He holds that Prufrock is Eliot s more realistic response to Emerson s idealistic man. Ron Banerjee examines the epigraphof the poem, which is a verse from Dante s Divine Comedy, and, among other things, discovers how it illuminates the unchangeable reality of the world around Prufrock. Romanticism heralds the heroism and nonconformity of the noble individual. The desire to be great and known is innate to all men, including Prufrock; however, Prufrock s crippling self consciousness disables him from breaking away from society as the true Romantic man would strive to do. It is evident by reading the poem that Prufrock

Herman Melville lived from August, 1819 September 28, 1891, while Frederick Douglass lived from February, 1818 February 20, 1895. Yet these two narratives couldn t have been more different. While taking a look at the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas and Benito Cerano we can see these two insights of their world. The impact that technology has had on today s schools has been utterly momentous. Educators have now seen firsthand the numerous benefits of technology in the classroom. According to a study by IT Trade Association CompTIA, around 75 percent of educators have come to the conclusion that technology has a positive impact on the education process. Educators have also recognized the significance of developing these technological skills in students so they will be prepared to enter the workforce after they graduate (Cox). Opal Mining Of Australi The Mining Capital Of The World Opal Mining in Australia Australia contains a lot of opal, especially in South Australia producing an estimated 95 97% of the world s opal supply. All of the opal mines in Australia are located in the Artesian Basin which contains many mining towns such as Lightning Ridge, Andamooka, White Cliffs and Coober Pedy, which has been called the mining capital of the world. All of these towns are situated in Australia s outback, the land mostly consisting of barren dry rock and dirt. But hiding in the endless dusty land and rocks are masses of Opal. Coober Pedy, Lightning Ridge, and Andamooka are home to many Opal mines, most of which are underground mines. In all of these rural mining towns there is not that much infrastructure due to the small populations and most residents will either be in the mining or tourism industry. This is good for mining as more of the land is able to use to mine the opals. Apart from being considered as one of the most influential and significant composers of the Western classical music, he was also known as one of the three composers part of First Viennese School composers, which also included Mozart and Beethoven. He composed The PianoSonata in E flat major, Hob. XVI:49, and dedicated it to Mrs. Maria Anna Edle von Genzinger. This piece is rather representative of works written in his late period since it is one of his last piano sonatas. Composed for the fortepiano, this piece can be described as incorporating the Viennese keyboard style, as well as, many other musical ideas gathered by Hadyn in England. The sonata is divided into 3 movements: Allegro, Adagio e cantabile and Finale: Tempo di Minuet. He opened his first movement with a theme in a question and answer style that evokes a dialogue. In this movement, the sense of humour and seriousness expressed at the same time, makes the contrast more distinct. It also reflects the introspection and determination. The second movement is in the ternary form (ABA) and it has a singing style. It is in B flat major with highly decorated thematic material, and the lyrical phrasing makes the piece tranquil and peaceful. • 40. What Is The Cyclical Relationship Between Production And... What is the cyclical relationship between production and reproduction? The cycle of food production and reproduction is caused by the fact that population demands certain amounts of food to be produced. Then when the food supply increases the population tends to increase to meet that level of production. This cycle continues to repeat itself to meet the demands. Food production increases cause creative thinking of how to improve the methods of production so that more food is produced with little change in area needed to farm. The need for more food production to be able to feed the children, it leads to people being willing to work longer and harder to get the needed food. People who feel that food limits are approaching also make changes on how to limit the demand by reducing births, or learning how to keep food longer. Although the United States can make the changes needed to supply food for our country it is not that simple. There is an unequal distribution of foods and technologies that make getting the food to people that need it is sometimes a bigger challenge. Other countries are not able to produce what they need and also cannot get the food they need brought in easily. When a population stabilizes the food production also stabilizes until there is an upsurge in the population again. What contributions did Ester Boserup make to Malthusian Theory? Cultural Competency On Healthcare Delivery As the diverse populations of the United States (U.S.) continues to grow the need for cultural competency in healthcare delivery requires culturally competent healthcare providers. Each population has its own particular norms and practices that guide their lifestyles; therefore, a challenge arises for healthcare providers to learn to provide culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds (Waite and Calamaro 2010). The ever changing population of the U.S. signifies a much needed change in health care delivery to different cultures. The U.S. Bureau of Census (1992) predicts that by the year 2020 only 53 % of the population will be of white European decent. People come from all over to witness these breathtaking views. As for Southern California the alluring beaches, rolling grass valleys, and various other attractions make for a significant difference to northern California. The difference in environments has a great impact on the type of people that live in each region. An individual s race, ethnicity, hobbies, political views, job, etc. all can have an impact on what area of California they live in. Some people, including myself enjoy a lot of outdoor activities that fit well in Northern California areas such as hunting, hiking, snowboarding, etc. Meanwhile, people that live in southern California may have much different outdoor hobbies due to the change in climate. The contrast between north and south almost creates a split in the state. In 1941, the proposal of a new state, named the State of Jefferson would take the very upper most part of California and the southern most part of Oregonto create a 51st state. Today, that proposal has

  • 51. Advertisement Analysis Essay Advertisement Analysis Expenditure on UK television advertising in 2002 was ВЈ3.7 billion. This comes as no surprise considering the overwhelming effect advertising can have on its audience. Adverts can have an effect on our subconscious by using different techniques such as offering us not just a product, but a lifestyle. They give us motivation to buy a product: Wearing this perfume will make you more attractive, eating this food will make you funnier, your children will love you more if you buy them this toy. Every one of our emotions is played on so that we will feel obligated to buy the product. Personally, I think that the actual effect that advertising can have on society is ... The first, LancГґme Paris Teint RГЁnergie Lift , is a foundation which claims to firm and reduce lines on your skin. It uses some copy but generally, the effect of the advert comes from the picture which takes up about two thirds of the A4 sized advert. The picture is of a woman tying the foundation to a rose with a piece of gossamer fabric. This picture is extremely persuasive and each object shown implies something different about the product. The woman pictured has very subdued make up, the advert s intention is not to make her look exciting and full of personality like many make up adverts, but to make her fresh faced and young to appeal to the correct target market slightly older women perhaps entering their forties. The advert also uses a certain level of sophistication to reach this market. The woman is looking directly at her audience, her expression is confident and engaging to draw us in to the advert. The rose carries with it many connotations. The rose is generally associated with love and beauty. It implies youth and has a very powerful impact. It being tied to the foundation shows its closeness and similarity to the product and so the connotations are carried through. The colour of the rose is also very

The Morris worm exploits two major vulnerabilities: a flaw in the debug mode of UNIX sendmail program and a flaw in the fingered network service. The worm was designed to go to every computer to check if it s affected, and duplicate itself automatically. The self duplication expedited loads of systems and finally crashed them, and of course, this feature would also alarm system administrators. Robert Morris got arrested 1989, and became the first person to be indicted under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. However this punishment didn t hurt his career too much, he is now tenure in MIT since 2006 (Lee, 2013). Big cities with a large number of Hispanics and African American decent often get target by law enforcements by high criminal activities that occur on a daily basis. • 54. A Good Number Of Films Produced By Tim Burton Prompt... On the surface, a good number of films produced by Tim Burton prompt similar themes of dark satire and grisly outcomes. However, throughout the progress of the film Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, I found my initial impressions of the typically grim director to be baseless and skewed. From being introduced to songs like No Place Like London and my personal favorite, A Little Priest, to the surreal interpretation of lust, loss, and revenge; Burton s establishes his take on mischief, malice, and meat pies through each individual scene and character development. Moreover, each musical number complements not only the twist and turns of the plot, but also each character s respective personalities. The reinterpretation of what... After returning to the place that gave him hurt, Sweeney Todd outs two scam artists, one of them named Adolfo, who are selling a potion to a cure for hair loss and defeats them in a shaving competition. The song at this arc that stands out the most is The Contest, not because it is centered on this scenario, but because the visionaries of the play and film adaption did an excellent job in portraying the times of penny dreadfuls. This is also where we get to see a contrast between characters Todd vs. Adolfo. Coincidentally, Adolfo had previously worked for Sweeney Todd and attempted to blackmail him, but was eventually murdered by Todd. Sweeney Todd s friend Anthony, the boy who accompanied him on the ship back to London, informs Todd of his plan to elope with Todd s daughter, Johanna, which places him in direct competition with Judge Turpin for Johanna s hand in marriage. Judge Turpin finally finds his way into the clutches of Sweeney Todd, but before Todd can exact his revenge, his friend Anthony reveals his plan to elope with Johanna. Judge Turpin storms out and Sweeney Todd drives Anthony from the premises in a fit of rage. Sweeney Todd suddenly takes a mass murderous turn and decides that all people deserve to die: the wealthy for their sins and corruption and the poor to be taken out of their misery. Thus ends the first act of the play. Fast forward, weeks after the events that just occurred, Sweeney Todd and Mrs.
