The Acts of Parliament highly benefited the British but did not afford those same rights to the
colonists until the formal issuing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776, in which
colonial freedom was granted. The most controversial issue is which group caused it; a result of
propaganda by the colonists. Multiple acts and protests contributed to this war, three influential
ones being the Stamp Act, Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party.
One of the major causes was the Stamp Act in 1765. This was issued by Parliament to tax every
piece of printed paper colonists used. Other documents such as newspapers, playing cards and any
form of printed publication were also taxed. Money collected by these taxations were used to pay
costs of defending the American frontier. Colonists viewed this act of Parliament as means to raise
money without legislative approval. ВЁReactions to the Stamp Act included riots and boycotts of
British goods. Crowds calling themselves Sons of Liberty prevented stamped papers from being

Introduction Our native language consists of a set of phonemes that we learn to discriminate
during language acquisition. Infants are born with perceptual sensitivity for phonemes outside of
their parents native language, which is a result of the fact that they have not yet practiced nor
learned the phonetic rules of their language. These feature detectors for phonemes that are not
used during language development will atrophy and the native phoneme feature detectors are
retained (Eimas, 1975). For example, in English we do not easily discriminate between the

Philanthropic Acts a Compromise for Rights
In an era consisting of big industrialist, such as Andrew Carnegie, there were many differences of
opinions on the execution of capitalism between these industrialists and their workers. Andrew
Carnegie expressed his ideas and views in article, The Gospel of Wealth, in which he outlines the
duties of industrialist to better the life of their workers and community. On the other hand, a
working man wrote A Work Mans Prayer, a sarcastic response to Andrew Carnegies The Gospel of

Andrew believed that the upper class should not show extravagant displays of their wealth
simply because they can. He believed that the first thing a wealthy man must do is to meet the
moderate wants and needs of their immediate family and dependents. He also believed that any
left over money should be used for public works to better the community by that person s own
judgment. Andrew states that the poor need to be guided by the rich because without that
guidance the people will live the same poor life for their lifetime. He continues to say that the
poor trust and rely on the rich to administer their lives because they can t successfully do it
themselves. The working people of Andrew wrote a prayer in which it thanks Andrew Carnegie for
his acts of philanthropy in a sarcastic manner.
A Working Man s Prayer can be seen as a response or outburst of the working class to their boss s
or masters, belief furthermore portraying how they view such acts. In this writing the author
constantly refers to the workers as slaves and Andrew as the slave master. He continues to state that
they were Serve him with complete obedience because they know that they can receive a visit from
the Pinkertons (a private protection agency) to make them obey by force and violent manners. The

Neil Gorsuch Accomplishments
The most significant achievement of the Trump Administration so far is the nomination of 49
year old Neil Gorsuch, as Supreme Court Justice. On many issues, dear to conservatives Mr.
Gorsuch is a perfect match. He usually sides with companies, provides little room for
condemned prisoners appealing against death sentences, and goes out of his way to protect
institutions. It seems clear he is personally, at least pro life. In his 2006 book, The Future of

The plate tectonic theory states that rigid plates slowly ride on the molten mantle. The boundaries
between the plates are known to serve as an important mineral resource. Three types of tectonic
plate exist: convergent, divergent and transform boundaries. A convergent boundary represents two
plates moving towards each other mostly forming a subduction. When two plates move away from
each other, a divergent boundary is formed. In transform boundaries, the plates move laterally past

Into The Wild was a tremendous story which Shaun Callarman did not have many positive things
to say about Chris McCandless, the main character. He went on this adventure to find out what
life is all about in his own eyes. He wanted to see how different living in the wild really was
compared to society because he was not satisfied with his living arrangements and household. Shaun
s quote says that he thinks Chris McCandless was bright and ignorant at the same time. He had no

I think he just wanted to pursue life in a different way. Chris was not seeing life the way anyone
else was so he decided to brush off into the wild and be free on his own. Though he did not survive
he was still a very bright, arrogant human being. Shaun Callarman states, He had no common
