Three months before an exhibition opens, a curator wants to add an
“Audio guide.” He already got the museum’s director on board and
secured $5K for the project. How do I decide if this is doable? Where
do I find information about options to do this? Who do I call for help?
Scenario #1:
Your museum manages data about patrons in seven di erent
applications, ranging from excel spreadsheets, to outlook address
books, to Raiser’s Edge. Each application is managed by a di erent
department. How do you identify this problem? How do you address it?
Scenario #2:
Your website sucks. Everybody knows it, and has known it for years.
Your sta has abandoned the site altogether, creating “rogue” websites
using Wix and other platforms. Your events manager is now just
publishing events on Facebook. What do you do?
