Comparing Nectar In A Sieve And Greek Mythology
The Indian culture of Nectar in a Sieve and the Greek culture Mythology are without doubt very
different. However, despite those differences, both cultures share some similarities. The link between
the Indian culture in Nectar in a Sieve and Greek culture is the fact that both cultures are polytheistic,
meaning that they worship more than one god. For instance, in Nectar in a Sieve, a massive storm
came upon the village where Ruku (main character) and her family lived, which caused the
destruction of their home and more importantly the crops, which provided them with food in order to
survive. Since Ruku and her family, amongst the other villagers, saw that the situation was not going
to improve any time soon they began to pray to their gods.

Now, after seeing this post, I regretted accepting this friend request and immediately unfriend this
employee. Some people tend to use social media, especially Facebook as an outlet and would often

Analysis of the Force
Overall, the five forces model suggests that the overall intensity of competition in the airline industry
is likely to be severe. Back in the early 1980 s competition was very intense. During the late 1980 s
the monopolization of major routes by a few major carriers, the limited availability of free landing
spots at major hubs and the emergence of limited brand loyalty and tacit price agreements have all
helped reduce the intensity of competition. However, as already mentioned, slumping demand in the
early 1990 s plunged the industry once more into a severe price war. Airline travel is a commodity
type product, with limited potential for differentiation.
Rivalry among Firms: High
Rivalry among firms within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because it s relatively easy for weaker airlines to obtain credit, the industry has become saturated.
Brand identity is important in the airline industry, and benefits larger airlines. Major carriers allocate
considerable resources to marketing efforts. Frequent flier programs and other incentives have been
successful in enticing travelers to fly with certain carriers. The frequent flyer incentive can often be
strong enough to cause a customer to choose one carrier over another even when the other carrier
offers a lower fare.
Barriers to entry are also heightened by the hub system in the airline industry. Carriers can offer
travelers more choices while tying up less capital through their hubs. As a result, the hub system
creates market power for large carriers.
Threat of Substitutes: Low
There are several substitutes to air travel, but over long distances and flying between continents, there
are no real substitutes that can bring humans face to face with speed. The decision to use automobiles
or trains is influenced by time, money, personal preference and convenience. Video conferencing takes
away the one on one human contact and socialization that air travel allows you to reach.

Obesity Among City Dwellers Is Becoming One Of The Major...
Obesity among city dwellers is becoming one of the major national health concerns. In fact, it became
a crisis. Nationally, $147 billion is spent yearly for obesity related care, including 77% greater
spending on medications for the obese than for non obese individuals (Marchiondo 2014, P. 156).
According to the CDC, among Maryland adults over 18 years old 65.4% were overweight, with a
Body Mass Index of 25 or greater. Also, 27.1% were obese, with a Body Mass Index of 30 or greater
(CDC Obesity Facts Adolescent and School Health, 2012). Among Maryland s adolescents between
grade 9 and 12, 15.6 percent are overweight and 12.2 percent are obese (Obesity and Overweight for
Professionals: State Programs: Funded States: Maryland DNPAO CDC, 2012). This problem places
residents on a critical risk for several co morbidities especial cardiovascular issues. Community health
assessment about the problem of obesity in the city of Greenbelt is performed. The city of Greenbelt is
found in PG County. According to the US census 2010, the city is home for 23, 068 people. It is a
diverse city with African Americans being the majority of the population. The purpose of this paper is
to make a detailed community assessment and recommendations to reduce the risk and incidence of
obesity in this community. Assessment Obesity and overweight involves disproportional calorie

The Economic Recession of 2008 Essay
Ever since the Recession of 2008, the process of acquiring employment has become extremely
challenging and exhausting. After months of searching, a significant amount of job seekers are willing
to accept any job offers that will allow them to put food on the tables. If you follow the United States
economic recovery, you probably know that there are about 10.5 million unemployed Americans and
constant debates about how to create more jobs. What you may not know is that there are actually four
million open jobs waiting to be filled. So how is it possible and who is there to blame? First, in order
to better understand the scale of the problem let s take a closer look at the numbers. Since late 2007,
nearly 8.5 million jobs were lost; in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Let s look at all of them and see why they do not always work. Online job search engines are not
being a lot of help these days. Oftentimes the only people you will hear back from would be scammers
and employment agencies seeking to make money on potential hires. After posting a resume on such
web sites, there is a high chance that you will receive hundreds of emails offering work from home, or
immediate job opportunity. Further research on the company will uncover numerous complaints or
scam alerts. When it comes to applying through a corporate web site, there is one thing to be aware of:
companies these days use help of automated resume scanners. With competition being as high as it is,
one job listing attracts hundreds, if not thousands of job applications. In order to sort them out,
corporations utilize special software that scans resumes for specific key words. Even though it makes
the process a lot faster and easier, the automated systems won t necessarily recognize even the best
candidate. With market being on their side, employers also take their time when making hiring
decisions; job seekers are subjected to multiple interviews, screening and tests. Since the process takes
too long, the best candidates might move on long time before company makes up its mind. Job

Explain The Stages Of Collective Bargaining
Collective bargaining is a process by which workers through unions negotiate with their employers
their working conditions. This could be health and safety policies, remuneration, benefits, working
hours and leave. Collective bargaining is a tool used to solve workplace problems. The sole objective
of this negotiation is to arrive at an agreement between workers and employers thus cementing
effectiveness, efficiency and productivity in the workplace. Collective agreement is the result of the
process of collective bargaining. The stages of collective bargaining are preparation, opening the
negotiation, bargaining and closure and agreement. The preparation stage in collective bargaining is
where the parties are preparing before the collective bargaining process has occurred. This stage
involves activities that include identifying the approach they would implement at the bargaining
chamber, considering and weighing demands or proposals, researching, considering the mandates and
coming up with their best alternative to a negotiated agreement (BATNA). The process of identifying
the approach to be implemented in the bargaining chamber is crucial as this helps the representatives

Summary Of Bacon s Rebellion

Bacon s Rebellion
Nathanial Bacon was a young, bold, active, and powerful individual (Beverly). Bacon was born in
England, taught at Cambridge, and later moved to Virginia with his wife, Elizabeth, in 1974 (Tarter).
Bacon graduated from the University of Cambridge and studied the law. Elizabeth s father, the Sir
Edward Duke of Suffolk, opposed their marriage. Her disinheritance by her father contributed to
Bacon s decision to migrate to North America. When they moved they got two plantations paid for by
his father. Bacon owned the two plantations along the Jamestown northern frontier. By his social
position and financial means, Bacon was brought up in the governor s council in ... Show more

Berkeley saw Bacon s action as a direct challenge to his own authority. The governor didn t like his
choices, and now refused to grant him anything. However the council, fearing the awful consequences
of disrupting an unhappy individual who was ready armed and had the governor, council, and
assembly entirely in their power, told the governor to accept his request. With much hesitancy the
governor signed it, and put the power of war and peace into Bacon s hands. This was not a good
decision to make considering Bacon just came to the council and threatened them to grant his wishes.
He then immediately marched off, achieving his end, which was in effect power to acquire a trust of
the Indian trade for himself and his friends. The governor, having failed to raise an army against
Bacon to fight his men, had no choice but to flee to the Eastern shore. He then gathered enough
strength to return to Jamestown, where he proclaimed Bacon and his men. Berkley had called for new
elections to the Burgesses for better aid of the Native American problem. Bacon was not serving his
business in the House of Burgesses; instead he was at his plantation miles away. By then the governor
had a small party with him. He aided them with clothes, arms and ammunitions, in order to cross the
bay and oppose the rebel. Bacon feared that he could not fight against them then decided set fire to the

What is difference between game and non game species?
Typically, game species are defined as species harvested for recreational purposes while non game
species are not consumed. More basically, is it hunted or not. However, these are actually legal
definitions which may vary from state to state. Hunting or consumption is not used to manage non
game species, except in the case of managing predators impacting endangered species. However,
game species, typically thought of in terms of hunting, are alternatively appreciated non
consumptively as well. Therefore, hunting or consumption is not an adequate distinction between
game and non game species. Furthermore, species definitions are influenced by political, economic

Flash Of Genius Relates To Intellectual Property
The movie Flash of Genius relates to Intellectual Property in that the intermittent windshield wipers
were Robert Kearns own intellectual property. The movie has strong ties to patent laws of the United
States as well as the 1941 Supreme Court case of Cuno Engineering v. Automatic Devices Corp which
requires that a new device must reveal the flash of creative genius, not merely the skill of the calling
(JUSTIA).The movie relates to this because Ford infringed on Kearns patent (that was still under

The City Of Athens, Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, And Zeno
Paul s message to the Athenians demonstrates a perfect example of witnessing to unbelievers without
using Scripture.
As we open the text this morning, remember Paul is now in the intellectual city of Athens (show map)
after escaping from vicious enemies in Berea. In this city, the great philosophers, Socrates, Plato,
Aristotle, Epicurus, and Zeno lived and taught.
However, Paul viewed the city through the lens of Scripture. Instead of seeing the magnificent
buildings and the fine art, he saw a city full of idols. Paul saw the city as most unappealing and
distressed filled his heart. He took advantage of the opportunity to speak to the situation in the

I see that you are extremely religious in every respect. With much wisdom, he commended them for at

genuinely interested in others will often look for the positive in every negative situation and focus on
the positive instead of the negative. Yet, despite being religious, the Athenians were not saved by the
grace and blood of Jesus Christ. Just because a person attends church every Sunday does not make
him a Christian. Religion is empty without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
2. Connect with your audience (v:23).
Here we see the art of effective communication. Paul began his discourse where the people were by
referring to their altar dedicated to the unknown god. He used the altar to build a bridge to reach the
intellectual unbelievers. In other words, it became his launching pad to present his argument for the
monotheistic God. There were many altars in the city dedicated to different gods and for fear of
offending some deity of whom they were unaware, the Athenians erected an altar to this unknown
god. The fact that they established an altar to an unknown god, proved their ignorance. Paul said to
them, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. Here, Paul took the opportunity to

To what extent is the Commander presented as both villain and a figure of sympathy?
The commander can be seen as a man torn between two worlds, he was one of the founders of Gilead
yet still enjoys and yearns for the pleasures of the old society he managed to break. The commander is
cool and collected on the surface but underneath he is bitter and corrupted for the world he has
managed to create. The commander secretly longs for the world to be as it once was and this is why he
savours his time with Offred because she may remind him of life before Gilead. It is also ironic how

This could represent the villainous side to him, as his power and authority create a shield, which hides

Throughout this chapter the theme of having or gaining more power is very evident. The fact that the
commander does have so much power and Offred has so little makes him more villainous. This is
because we can evidently see how Offred could be so easily manipulated by this very powerful man.
However we see a more villainous side to The Commander when he asks Offred to play scrabble with
him. He manipulates Offred into having almost a false relationship with him because this is non
existent with his wife, Serena Joy. The relationship between the commander and Serena Joy is very
numb, cold and formal. They are very alike in character and so they control each other. Their
relationship is somewhat business like and lifeless. In one chapter Serena Joy says to Offred He s my
Husband till death do us part and this sentence feels almost forced. As the reader we feel she says this
because of the last handmaid and because of the jealousy she feels towards Offred. She wants to take
it away before she can even have it. This relationship with Serena Joy puts things out of balance and
Offred and in a way wants to go back to normality. He is unhappy about the situation in Gilead and

Hester Prynne Scarlet Letter
In On the Scarlet Letter, D. H. Lawrence criticizes Hester Prynne, the protagonist of Nathaniel
Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, for deceiving the public about the nature of her sin of adultery. He
perceives Hester Prynne as a mere seducer who disguises her sin with a pretense of purity. In his
essay, Lawrence effectively demonstrates that Hester Prynne is not a character that deserves our
sympathy through the use of choppy, repetitive syntax, relevant allusions to other literature, and a
biting, sarcastic tone. One method that Lawrence uses to effectively criticize Hester Prynne s actions
is the use of blunt, redundant syntax. Throughout his essay, he condenses his ideas into brief sentences
that directly introduce the point. For instance, Lawrence succinctly summarizes the ... Show more

In the beginning of his essay, Lawrence references The Deerslayer, a novel by James Fenimore

alludes to the Deerslayer and Judith Hutter to assert that seduction does not necessarily have to
succeed in wooing men. Therefore, Hester Prynne s act of adultery could have been avoided and thus
should not be excused and forgiven. Furthermore, Lawrence mockingly refers to Hester as Mary of the
Bleeding Heart and another Magdalen (Lawrence). In both instances, he alludes to biblical female
figures who are perceived as repentant and innocent. However, Lawrence sarcastically incorporates
this analogy, implying that Hester Prynne is the opposite of a pure woman. By comparing her to
women who are known for their abstinence, Lawrence ironically emphasizes Hester s adultery, which
negates her supposed purity. Throughout his essay, Lawrence alludes to characters who have

that her attitude toward war was that it was a great big event that everyone should take part in one way

men to recruit. The final line: And who thinks he d rather sit tight? In other words she is asking who
would rather be a coward and not do anything the purpose of this line is to evoke quilt within the men
so when it comes to making the decision the questions will linger in their minds. The quilt trip was not
uncommon at this time and was a useful strategy of putting them in awkward positions felling
embarrassed if they do choose not to fight but stay at home taking the easy route. This corresponds
with poetry such as For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon.
The second verse talks of patriotism, who ll give his country a hand in fighting against the enemy.
This was known as xenophobic or jingoistic poetry a very popular form of poetry at the time as
posters such as the Kitchener appeal and other poets were alongside this. This is again is in reference
to the cowardice of those who do not join in comparison with those willing to give their lives to their
country. The cowards are the man with a seat in the stand that are compared with the men who want a
turn to himself in the show . The reference to war

Sweetland Character
Personality Personality is the sum total of the physical, mental, emotional, and social characteristics of
an individual (dictionary.com). The personality of a character is what makes the plot happen with that
character. Characters are developed by actions, appearance, speech, other character s comments,
author s comments, and unity of character and action. The three types of characters are round, flat, and
anthropomorphic. The plot is the order in which things move and happen in a story (Sweetland, 2016).
A writer will convey a character s emotional personality in a scene through active, non verbal
communication with the right intensity and frequency. The emotional, mental, and social qualities to
distinguish one entity from another are character. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every story will send a character on an outer journey which is the dramatic action plot line. This
journey will end up causing the character to undergo and inner transformation. The transformation is
shown through the character s emotional development. Tracking the character s reactions to the
dramatic action in each scene and plotting out the protagonist s emotional development over the entire
story on a scene tracker ensures a believable and smooth transformation in the character. The
transformation will take place in each scene and span the entire story. If tension, conflict, and suspense
drive the reader to turn the page or send the viewer to the edge of his or her seat, the character
emotional development connects and inspires that person to the story. Viewers go to the movies and
readers read stories to learn about a character s emotional development. Therefore, the character will
become a primary layer in the overall story. Personality is easy to read; people are judged as
extroverted, funny, optimistic,

The Bedside Shift Of Patient Participation
Abstract
Recognizing that patient participation is vital to their personal medical care, healthcare organizations
are conducting nursing staff shift reports at the bedside in the patient s presence. Bedside reports aim
to avoid communication failures by exchanging real time information at shift change. Bedside
reporting is a new alternative to the customary change of shift report that traditionally takes place in a
unit hallway or at the nurse s station. This provides an opportunity for questions before valuable
information is lost or overlooked. In this literature review of bedside shift reporting, three studies were
compared in order to show that a patient s perspective is valued as they can see and hear from the
team of professionals who are providing their care. Bedside shift report also improves the nurses
understanding of the patient s condition as the nurse is able to visualize the patient and share relevant
information.
Bedside Shift Report Literature Review
The bedside shift report occurs between the outgoing and oncoming nurse next to the patient s bedside
at shift change. It is intended to engage patients in the conversation and exchange of information. This
gives both nurses and the patient the opportunity to ask questions and verify important information
about the patient s history and care plan.
In a research article by Lamond (2000), the assistive role of the nursing shift report in information
processing and plan of care discussion was examined. This study

National Level studies:
Sunder Lal (1989) conducted study to find out the nutrition and health education in relation to
personnel, material, techniques and methods in rural ICDS blocks of Kathura in Haryana. He study
revealed that during the training programme most of the time is going waste in preparing educational
aids rather than developing communication skills. The training programme conduct to ANMs was not
equipped with skills and knowledge related to field setting, they are not satisfied with curriculum
change is needed in the curriculum. The enthusiasm level was low among the anganwadi worker out
20 respondents only fifteen percent was working with enthusiasm in the field. Fifty percent of ANMs
and Anganwadi workers were not using any aids they possessed for nutrition and health education.
Even Administration was also responsible for slow and irregular work in these areas.

Derek Jeter Shortstop Essay
The debate about who the best shortstop of all time is, is very controversial but I can put an end to
many discussions. There are two main shortstops who are being argued over. Cal Ripken Jr. and Derek
Jeter. These two players are both great ball players but only one can take the title of being the Greatest
Of All Time. Derek Jeter is the best shortstop of all time for many reasons because he was great at
fielding, hitting, and he still is a great person because of what he s doing in retirement.
Derek Jeter s fielding performance was among the best in the history of baseball. Jeter played for 20
years and was a lifelong shortstop for the Yankees. He had a career fielding percent of .976 which
means that for every 1000 balls he was hit, he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had 3465 hits in his career. This ranks him 6th of all time in the hits category. He has the most hits
out of all the shortstops to ever play in the MLB. Also, he hit a home run as his 3000th hit and he was
only the second person ever to reach this feat. He joined Wade Boggs in this club later followed by a
teammate Alex Rodriguez. (baseball reference.com) Derek s batting average was .310. So, for every
10 times he has an at bat, he gets 3 hits. This is very hard to do because of the fact that the pitchers are
throwing high 80s low 90s. Finally, his OBP, on base percentage, was a staggering .377! An on base
percentage of .325 is a good OBP, and Jeter s was higher than that. These stats show how great Jeter
was while at the plate.
Jeter retired in 2014 and he is helping others through his retirement. He and his sister Sharlee started
the Turn 2 Foundation. This foundation helps kids turn away from a life of drugs and gangs, and turn
towards a life of healthy eating and healthy lifestyle. (page six) This encourages others to help people
turn away and say NO! to drugs. This proves that Jeter isn t wasting his time during retirement and
proves that he cares about people who need help and people who

The Life and Writings of Kurt Vonnegut Essay
Kurt Vonnegut is celebrated as one of the most successful novelist in the Post Second World War
period in the America. His literary works have had varied impacts on American culture, including the
use of the word karass amongst college students, the naming of the pop groups Ice Nine Kills and The
Billy Pilgrims , and the frequent use of the term So it goes as written in Vonnegut s obituary on the
New York Times (Farrell, p.ix). This article examines the impacts of Vonnegut s on his literary work.
It reviews the influences of his childhood experiences, his education, service in the army, and
employment at various settings on his work as a writer. His work caught the attention of a larger
audience due his simplicity and humor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This could be explained by his earlier educational life as a science student at Cornell University and
his interests in science fictions. Even though Vonnegut was supportive of talking of the contributions
of technology in the modern life, he was not quick to embrace technology in his literary works. For
instance, he typed his essays and stories on a typewriter rather than a computer; he always relied on
the U.S. Postal Service rather than e mail; and he warned repeatedly of the dangers of technological
advancement, (Farrell, p.ix) His dissenting views on technological advancement are illustrated in his
literary works like Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Welcome to the Monkey House
which depict how humans can face serious problems associated with population explosion if all the
infectious diseases are eradicated. In the Player Piano, he explains how human labor will be taken by
machines, creating a condition of extensive joblessness and helplessness in the modern world. Also, in
Cat s Cradle, he talks of the detriments of technological advances in military science, which could
lead to the creation of deadly weapons such as ice nine or neutron bomb which destroyed Midland
City, Ohio as depicted in the Deadeye Dick (Farrell, p.ix). In his works, Vonnegut also uses ill fated
characters, individuals who are pressed by conditions

School Uniforms And Its Effect On Self Image
Most commonly found in private schools, school uniforms are slowly being adopted by public schools
in the US. In the 2003 2004 school year every one in eight schools required uniforms; in the 2011
2012 school year that number had increased to every one in five schools (ProCon.org). As violence
increased, schools started enforcing uniforms thinking that it would solve the violence. School
uniforms were created in England in the 16th century for students referred to as the charity children
(ProCon.org). In later centuries, high class schools were the most commonly known for requiring their
students to wear uniforms. The first recorded time a public school in the US required uniforms was in
1987, a school in Maryland put out an optional uniform policy (ProCon.org). Uniforms have been
being enforced by private schools for years, but now public schools are trying to enforce them.
Students should not be required to wear uniforms because it refuses students the ability to express
themselves, dress codes are more effective, and uniforms can cause a detrimental effect on self image.
High school is a vital time in a child s life to discover who they are as an individual; expressing
themselves through clothes is part of this process. If a student is required to wear a uniform everyday,
that would create a lack of self expression. The First Amendment states that every human being in the
United States is entitled to express themselves (Anderson). When students are forced to wear

The Impact Of Rastafari On The Late 1920s And Early 1930s...
Rastafari Rastafari is a young religion that was established in Jamaica in the 1930s, which originated
from Marcus Garvey s movement in the late 1920s against the oppression of the African Race.
Rastafari advanced into a religion right after the crowning of Halie Selassie I as the emperor of
Ethiopia in 1930. There are approximately 1 million followers all around the world today. There are
multiple branches inside of Rastafari, each of them carrying similar customs, beliefs, and views.
Rastafarianism commenced in the Jamaican Slums in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Rastafari started
out as a movement in the 1920s led by Marcus Garvey, a Jamaican publisher, journalist, and
entrepreneur. Garvey led the organization known as the Universal Negro Improvement Association,
whose intentions were to unify blacks with their land of origin. Garvey preached Look to Africa where
a black king shall be crowned, he shall be your Redeemer. (BBC) This statement later became the
basis of the Rastafari movement. When Emperor Halie Selassie I crowned himself emperor of
Ethiopia in 1930, Rastafarians saw the crowning as the fulfillment of Garvey s prophecy. In fact,
Rastafari takes its name from the Emperor s original name, Tafari. (Biography). Rastafari followers
believed that Emperor Halie Selassie was the Black Messiah, Jah Rastafari, who is a figure of
salvation. Jah Rastafari was thought to redeem blacks from white suppressors, reunifying them with
Africa, their native homeland.

How Has Television Become So Attached To The American Society
About 65% of the households in Untied States have three or more television sets, but the average has
about 2. Television is a highly entertaining, and relaxing commodity. Americans are so attached to a
screen that shows their favorite series and become basically in love with it that they spend countless
hours watching it. During the story Harrison Bergeron, it s shown that the society watching TV is
manipulated into thinking the opposite way that today s society is. Modern day society has many
bright and creative thinkers that think outside the box with creative ideas that further improve the
society. For example, Bill Gates, the world s richest man wouldn t be where he is without his creative
mind and that creative mind came from inspiring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just like television, it was first something that only had black and white shows showing about 5 shows
daily that would play on repeat. Now if you switch to any channel you will most likely see something
that you haven t seen before. It may or may not be interesting, but it at least caught the attention of the
viewer to maybe come revisit it. Television hasn t desensitized the society; its rather though further
improved it. It s become something that inspires people s lives and makes them show their full
potential. People have become such bright and creative thinkers from something so simply like the
television. Now it s not that everyone succeeds and becomes inspired by television, but there are
people out there that have come out of their shell and become something that has impacted our world
from just something they might ve seen on

Case Study Of Kellobits
Old habits die hard, especially when it comes to Indian eating habits. When Kellogg India Ltd.
(Kellogg s), the wholly owned subsidiary of the US$ 7 billion Kellogg Company, entered the 3000 ton
cereal market in 1994, little did it realize the importance of the adage. It had a clear game plan to
position itself on the health platform, highlighting the nutritional values of the brand.
The journey from 1994 to present, 2011 has been full of large scale Up s and Down s.

products and being supported by the technical, managerial and financial resources of its parent,
Kellogg s products failed in the
Indian market. Even a high profile launch backed by hectic media activity failed to make an impact in
the marketplace.
Meanwhile, negative media coverage regarding the products increased, as more and more consumers
were reportedly rejecting the taste. Converting the experimenters into regular buyers had become a
major problem for the company. Realising that a major reason for Kellogg s failure was the fact that
the taste of its products did not suit Indian breakfast habits, it came up with the idea of Indianisation of
the taste. Kellogg decided to launch two of its highly successful brands Chocos (September 1996) and

Gay Fertility Options
Dallas IVF offers gay fertility options to help members of the LGBT community become parents
When gay patients come to Dallas IVF, they often ask our fertility specialists if they have more family
building options than adoption. Our Dallas fertility center is always excited to tell patients that we
offer successful gay fertility options, including egg donation and surrogacy.
Egg donation is one of the popular gay fertility options at our Dallas fertility center

Some patients prefer to ask a friend or a family to be their egg donor, while others may opt to use an
anonymous egg donor.
After selecting the egg donor, one of our fertility specialists will perform intrauterine insemination,
IUI, on the egg donor if she will be carrying the pregnancy. If another woman, known as a surrogate,
will carry the pregnancy, then our fertility center will perform in vitro fertilization, IVF.
Surrogacy is another gay fertility option that is related to egg donation
When patients select egg donation as their family building tool, the fertility specialists at our Dallas
fertility center must also discuss surrogacy. After all, gay patients need a woman to carry the
pregnancy. Patients have two options for surrogacy.
In an arrangement called traditional surrogacy, the egg donor will also serve as the surrogate. The
surrogate will undergo IUI using the father s sperm.
In a situation known as gestational surrogacy, a woman other than egg donor will serve as the
surrogate. The donor eggs are fertilized with the father s sperm during IVF and the resulting embryos
are transferred to the surrogate s uterus of the

Racial Profiling Report
The attacks on US soil on September 11th of the year 2001 caused an impact on the US. Most
importantly its citizens. From safety concerns to the economy the impacts were all over the nation.
One of these outcomes was racial profiling. This meant to people that looked to be from Saudi Arabia
to suffer a form of hatred. Since that day many people have a picture ingrained in their heads about
what a terrorist looks like. However, as an organization debates racial profiling is not effective in

However, despite those differences, both cultures share some similarities. The link between the Indian culture in Nectar in a Sieve and Greek culture is the fact that both cultures are polytheistic, meaning that they worship more than one god. For instance, in Nectar in a Sieve, a massive storm came upon the village where Ruku (main character) and her family lived, which caused the destruction of their home and more importantly the crops, which provided them with food in order to survive. Since Ruku and her family, amongst the other villagers, saw that the situation was not going to improve any time soon they began to pray to their gods. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Jet Blue vs Delta Analysis of the Force Overall, the five forces model suggests that the overall intensity of competition in the airline industry is likely to be severe. Back in the early 1980 s competition was very intense. During the late 1980 s the monopolization of major routes by a few major carriers, the limited availability of free landing spots at major hubs and the emergence of limited brand loyalty and tacit price agreements have all helped reduce the intensity of competition. However, as already mentioned, slumping demand in the early 1990 s plunged the industry once more into a severe price war. Airline travel is a commodity type product, with limited potential for differentiation. Rivalry among Firms: High Rivalry among firms within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because it s relatively easy for weaker airlines to obtain credit, the industry has become saturated. Brand identity is important in the airline industry, and benefits larger airlines. Major carriers allocate considerable resources to marketing efforts. Frequent flier programs and other incentives have been successful in enticing travelers to fly with certain carriers. The frequent flyer incentive can often be strong enough to cause a customer to choose one carrier over another even when the other carrier offers a lower fare. Barriers to entry are also heightened by the hub system in the airline industry. Carriers can offer travelers more choices while tying up less capital through their hubs. As a result, the hub system creates market power for large carriers. Threat of Substitutes: Low There are several substitutes to air travel, but over long distances and flying between continents, there are no real substitutes that can bring humans face to face with speed. The decision to use automobiles or trains is influenced by time, money, personal preference and convenience. Video conferencing takes away the one on one human contact and socialization that air travel allows you to reach. If you follow the United States economic recovery, you probably know that there are about 10.5 million unemployed Americans and constant debates about how to create more jobs. What you may not know is that there are actually four million open jobs waiting to be filled. So how is it possible and who is there to blame? After posting a resume on such web sites, there is a high chance that you will receive hundreds of emails offering work from home, or immediate job opportunity. Further research on the company will uncover numerous complaints or scam alerts. When it comes to applying through a corporate web site, there is one thing to be aware of: companies these days use help of automated resume scanners. With competition being as high as it is, one job listing attracts hundreds, if not thousands of job applications. In order to sort them out, corporations utilize special software that scans resumes for specific key words. Even though it makes the process a lot faster and easier, the automated systems won t necessarily recognize even the best candidate. With market being on their side, employers also take their time when making hiring decisions; job seekers are subjected to multiple interviews, screening and tests. This could be health and safety policies, remuneration, benefits, working hours and leave. Collective bargaining is a tool used to solve workplace problems. The sole objective of this negotiation is to arrive at an agreement between workers and employers thus cementing effectiveness, efficiency and productivity in the workplace. With much hesitancy the governor signed it, and put the power of war and peace into Bacon s hands. This was not a good decision to make considering Bacon just came to the council and threatened them to grant his wishes. He then immediately marched off, achieving his end, which was in effect power to acquire a trust of the Indian trade for himself and his friends. The governor, having failed to raise an army against Bacon to fight his men, had no choice but to flee to the Eastern shore. He then gathered enough strength to return to Jamestown, where he proclaimed Bacon and his men. Berkley had called for new elections to the Burgesses for better aid of the Native American problem. Bacon was not serving his business in the House of Burgesses; instead he was at his plantation miles away. By then the governor had a small party with him. The movie has strong ties to patent laws of the United States as well as the 1941 Supreme Court case of Cuno Engineering v. Automatic Devices Corp which requires that a new device must reveal the flash of creative genius, not merely the skill of the calling (JUSTIA).The movie relates to this because Ford infringed on Kearns patent (that was still under protection) and Kearns claimed to have had a flash of creative genius (why can t a windshield wiper blink like a human eye?). As we open the text this morning, remember Paul is now in the intellectual city of Athens (show map) after escaping from vicious enemies in Berea. In this city, the great philosophers, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, and Zeno lived and taught. However, Paul viewed the city through the lens of Scripture. Instead of seeing the magnificent buildings and the fine art, he saw a city full of idols. Paul saw the city as most unappealing and distressed filled his heart. Yet, despite being religious, the Athenians were not saved by the grace and blood of Jesus Christ. Just because a person attends church every Sunday does not make him a Christian. Religion is empty without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. 2. Connect with your audience (v:23). Here we see the art of effective communication. Paul began his discourse where the people were by referring to their altar dedicated to the unknown god. He used the altar to build a bridge to reach the intellectual unbelievers. In other words, it became his launching pad to present his argument for the monotheistic God. There were many altars in the city dedicated to different gods and for fear of offending some deity of whom they were unaware, the Athenians erected an altar to this unknown god. The commander can be seen as a man torn between two worlds, he was one of the founders of Gilead yet still enjoys and yearns for the pleasures of the old society he managed to break. The commander is cool and collected on the surface but underneath he is bitter and corrupted for the world he has managed to create. The commander secretly longs for the world to be as it once was and this is why he savours his time with Offred because she may remind him of life before Gilead. The fact that the commander does have so much power and Offred has so little makes him more villainous. This is because we can evidently see how Offred could be so easily manipulated by this very powerful man. However we see a more villainous side to The Commander when he asks Offred to play scrabble with him. He manipulates Offred into having almost a false relationship with him because this is non existent with his wife, Serena Joy. The relationship between the commander and Serena Joy is very numb, cold and formal. They are very alike in character and so they control each other. Lawrence criticizes Hester Prynne, the protagonist of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, for deceiving the public about the nature of her sin of adultery. He perceives Hester Prynne as a mere seducer who disguises her sin with a pretense of purity. In his essay, Lawrence effectively demonstrates that Hester Prynne is not a character that deserves our sympathy through the use of choppy, repetitive syntax, relevant allusions to other literature, and a biting, sarcastic tone. One method that Lawrence uses to effectively criticize Hester Prynne s actions is the use of blunt, redundant syntax. Bedside reports aim to avoid communication failures by exchanging real time information at shift change. Bedside reporting is a new alternative to the customary change of shift report that traditionally takes place in a unit hallway or at the nurse s station. This provides an opportunity for questions before valuable information is lost or overlooked. In this literature review of bedside shift reporting, three studies were compared in order to show that a patient s perspective is valued as they can see and hear from the team of professionals who are providing their care. In the 2003 2004 school year every one in eight schools required uniforms; in the 2011 2012 school year that number had increased to every one in five schools (ProCon.org). As violence increased, schools started enforcing uniforms thinking that it would solve the violence. School uniforms were created in England in the 16th century for students referred to as the charity children (ProCon.org). In later centuries, high class schools were the most commonly known for requiring their students to wear uniforms. The first recorded time a public school in the US required uniforms was in 1987, a school in Maryland put out an optional uniform policy (ProCon.org). Uniforms have been being enforced by private schools for years, but now public schools are trying to enforce them. Students should not be required to wear uniforms because it refuses students the ability to express themselves, dress codes are more effective, and uniforms can cause a detrimental effect on self image.
