Personality Profile Reflection Paper
These tests are designed to inform us of our personality, and advantages and disadvantages that may come with it. The
goal is to characterize patterns of behavior, emotions, and thoughts that a person has carried throughout their lifetime.
Understanding these patterns of yourself and of those around you is beneficial for group dynamics. The more you
know and understand your personality the better you will be able to see how others view and react to you. Personality
assessments can help us locate and change our weaknesses. They can help us better understand our motivations, styles
of communication, strengths and how well we work with others. In the following paragraphs, I will discuss the
insights that I have gained through each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is the power supply towards productivity effectiveness and efficiency. This strength is the perfect driving force for
my futuristic strength. Without it, I would not be able to meet those future goals that I am so passionate about. I found
it quite interesting that Positivity was listed in my top five strengths. Not that I think that I am a negative person, but I
definitely didn t think it would be one of my top three. People with the strength of Positivity are generous, optimistic,
and enthusiastic. They have the ability to lighten the mood within groups and can turn a negative situation into an
optimistic one. I have always been one to look at the glass half full and to find hope even in the middle of setbacks.
While I don t believe that my enthusiasm is always at a contagious level, I do think that I look at situations positively
more than the average person. The Strategic theme allows you to sort through the clutter and find the best route
(www.gallupstrengthscenter.com). People with the strength of Strategic look for different ways to progress and
introduce a new way of thinking. I agree that I am a strategic thinker, but I disagree that strategic thinkers make quick
decisions. I find it hard to make quick decisions because I tend to overthink and look at situations from multiple
points of view and possible outcomes. My last strength that is listed in my top five strengths is Responsibility. People

Objections To The Adminstrative Process Theory
Croley faces many objections to his administrative process theory. Some objections are in defense of the public choice
theory while others seek to disprove the administrative theory itself. Despite the outcome of these arguments, Croley
seeks to emphasize publically interested regulation is a possibility according to the administrative process theory and
that under the right circumstances it will prevail. The main claim being there is more not less to the story of regulation
than legislative control and interest group influence, notwithstanding the inordinate explanatory weight these factors
are usually thought to carry. An initial objection uses the basic argument that a few cases of regulation successfully
advancing the public interest does not undermine the public choice theory. This theory, known as the straw theory,
puts forth the idea that regulation does not always end with interest groups receiving regulatory rents, but does enough
times to draw attention to the efficiency of the regulation process. The theory should be able to incorporate these few
cases. Croley responds in this case first by explaining the conceptual criticism of the theory would remain regardless
of the analyses of the cases in this particular circumstance. Furthermore, if the theory were to accommodate those few
successful examples of regulation it would not have predictive or explanatory power because of its inability to rule
out any regulatory outcomes. In this case, the previous

Dc Is Better Than Marvel Research Paper
Why is DC better than Marvel? Here are some reasons why DC is better than Marvel. The reason you should listen is
because the DC universe is becoming into the coolest place ever because of all of the characters and scenes and
themes and fighting scenes. DC is better than Marvel. These will be some of my main points: DC has better
characters, DC is more serious than Marvel is at fighting, DC is darker than Marvel. I will compare each Universe to
each other and see why DC is better than Marvel. As I compare look carefully at the facts and carefully notice that DC
is better than Marvel. The first character I am going to talk about is Superman. Superman is the most powerful alien
out there in the DC world. Superman has the coolest powers on earth. Superman has a lot of powers such as lasers, x
ray vision, flight abilities, super speed, super breath, freeze breath and he is invincible. Other heros don t really have
that many powers like Superman does. Marvel s Iron Man has a cool suit and the cool powers from the suit but
Superman s powers are real and he was born with his. Iron Man aka Tony built his powers/suit. As Superman has
strong powers, Iron Man is encouraging science and technology education. And for Wonder Woman, she is a role
model for women and girls all over the world. I love all of these heros but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my first paragraph I was talking about how DC is better than Marvel. In the second paragraph I was talking about
how DC is more serious at fighting than Marvel is. In the third paragraph I was talking about how DC has better

seem cool but DC is a little bit better than Marvel and DC fans will agree with me in this persuasive writing paper.

To My Dear And Loving Husband Comparison
To my Dear and Loving Husband written by Anne Bradstreet, is the story of a woman admiring love for her husband.
On the other hand, My mistress eyes are nothing like the sun written by William Shakespeare, is the story of the love
a man feels for an imperfect woman. Although the two poems are about love, they interpret it in different ways
through rhythmic structure, and emotional expression.
To my Dear and Loving Husband has an impeccable rhythmic alignment. It starts with repeating if ever three times in
the first three lines. She uses this to express her deep love for her husband and at the same time to confirm it. In the
fourth line, she compares her love for her husband with the love other women have for their own husbands. ... Show

This is used to connect the last part of every line. Also, the poem is mainly a satire, not a serious poem like Bradstreet
s. Instead of praising his mistress, he emphasizes her imperfections and bad characteristics. On the other hand,
Bradstreet only mentions the good aspects of her husband. She never says anything negative about him. From the first
line to line ten, Shakespeare describes his mistress not as the typical ideal woman, but as someone ordinary. He
expresses this especially in the fourth line where he uses personification to compare her hair to black wires. Some of
the things he says are; that her eyes are not shiny, her lips are not red, her breast are brown instead of the perfect
white, her breath odor is unpleasant and her voice is not melodious. He does this to make his poem stand out from the
crowd, and also to not make it exactly as other love poems, such as Bradstreet s. He wants his poem to be more
humorous and realistic. In Bradstreet s poem everything is perfect, and in reality it does not matter what relationship
we are in, perfection does not exist. After he criticizes the woman in all possible ways, his poem takes a turn. From
lines eleven to fourteen, he says that although she is not perfect, he has never seen somebody as beautiful as her. I
grant I never saw a goddess go...And yet by heaven, I think my love as rare / as any

How The Wii U Nintendo s Profits
How the Wii U affected Nintendo s Profits When talking about gaming, there has always been one name that stands
above the rest, Nintendo. Nintendo Co., Ltd. was first founded September 23rd, 1889, and based out of Kyoto, Japan,
where they produced and marketed playing cards. In 1977 the company released its first video game system, Color
TV Game, which is considered a first generation video gaming system, eight generations later and the Wii U was
born. The newest Nintendo system, Wii U, had a fairly rough start: launching in November 2012, costing $350. There
were many setbacks in its early stages, which the company had to overcome; despite two years of massive financial
loss, due to lack of popular game titles, poor marketing, and various other setbacks, the system is just now beginning
to show promise for Nintendo s future. The Wii U was the first system to launch of the newest generation of gaming,
with its competitors, Microsoft and Sony, releasing their systems almost exactly one year later in November 2013.
According to the article, What the Hell is wrong with the Wii U?, Kohler writes, Sony Corp. and Microsoft Corp. each
sold more game consoles in 24 hours than the Wii U maker did in nine months ... [Nintendo] sold just 460,000 Wii U
machines in the six months ended Sept. 30, about 5 percent of its target for the fiscal year (par. 2). When we compare

You Cannot Trust Fast Food Companies
We have all seen those advertisements that show glorious looking hamburgers that look like are simply exploding
with tasty goodness, but how many times has our food actually looked like the advertisement? In my experience, that
number would be zero. These advertisements are meant to trick our minds into thinking fast food is much better than
it is in reality. Although, this argument could be made about just about any company in this age of brand
personification, but just because other companies do this does not mean its ethically sound. In addition to that fast
food is an item that is potentially harmful to ones health so there is a difference between Nike running an embellished

Fast Food Nation references a discontinued advertisement run by the cigarette manufacturer Camel, which displayed a
hip, cartoon camel that was used to sell cigarettes. Fast Food Nation states, a 1991 study published in the Journal of
the American Medical Association found that nearly all of America s six year olds could identify Joe Camel, who was
just as familiar to them as Mickey Mouse (Schlosser). Fast Food Nation talks about another study that found one third
of the cigarettes illegally sold to minors were Camels. Children are very easily influenced and fast food companies are
quick to take advantage of this fact. (Sclosser)
Companies take advantage of children for a couple of reasons with the first being the advantage of brand recognition
or branding . When we are young we make strong connections to things that influence us, such as the comfort a
McDonalds hamburger may bring. Companies know this and by creating a fun atmosphere that is kid friendly they
can create this connection that can last for a lifetime. Fast food restaurants use kid friendly items such as the playland,
kids meal, and toys that come with the kid s meals. Inventions such as these were created to draw the easily appeased
mind of a child into the restaurant. Children are an easy target for fast food companies to prey upon, which makes fast
food companies extremely eager to utilize this. As the

Tyler Joseph s Song Ode To Sleep
At first, Ode to Sleep, a song by the band Twenty One Pilots, seems to illustrate the relationship between being asleep
and being awake. However, the song has much more meaning to it. In fact, it discusses depression and the horrible
thoughts that can go through someone s mind at night. Moreover, in this song, night and day have special meaning.
Tyler Joseph, the writer of the song and lead singer of the band, uses lyrics and different types of instruments, such as
the synthesizer and strings, to portray the meanings behind the signs in this song. Additionally, the song cycles
between dark and light parts, each with its own meaning. This paper will not only discuss the lyrical meaning of this
song, but it will also discuss the instrumental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Why am I not scared in the morning? I don t hear those voices calling (Joseph, Ode to Sleep). This suggests that the
light sounding music and the dark sounding music are in fact symbols for day and night, which are also symbols for
sanity and insanity. When Joseph is awake in the morning, he doesn t have dark thoughts and is sane, but at night,
Joseph is insane and hears demonic voices. In addition, the voices are icons that represent evil and darkness. Later in
the first lighter part, Joseph sings Why wont you let me go, Do I threaten all your plans, I m insignificant. You have
no plans for me, I will set my soul on fire, what have I become, I m sorry (Joseph, Ode to Sleep). Joseph believes that
he is fighting darkness with his harpoon, but he doesn t want to because by doing so, he is going insane. Moreover,
when Joseph sings I will set my soul on fire , he sounds like he is struggling to take a breath, as if he was fighting to
live (Joseph, Ode to Sleep). Furthermore, setting one s soul on fire is often seen as a symbol for self cleansing or
forgiveness. Therefore, Tyler wants to be forgiven and wants to be done with the

of the myths and stories that ancient Greeks believed and lived their lives around. Zeus and Poseidon are two brothers
born as Greek gods according to Greek mythology. However, even though Zeus and Poseidon are brothers and both

because the two brothers were treated differently at birth; they had different powers, and they treated mortals

Extension activities were therefore directed towards increasing efficiency in crop production and marketing.
Regulations were made to set and enforce standards in export crop production.
The colonial government also established some agricultural development schemes to upgrade the skills of farmers and
to produce agricultural commodities. The Kware irrigation scheme was established in 1926. It was situated 16miles or
25.74 kilometres north of Sokoto town. Its purposes were to increase rice yields and provide experimental data on
production under severe drought during dry season and flooding during the rains. The scheme started with 1000 acres
or 405 hectares involving 800 farmers with farms situated along the river banks. The irrigation scheme employed the
shadoof which is an ancient Egyptian technique, also used by the Sudanese. The scheme did not attain much of its
objectives because (a) the irrigation scheme (shardoof) was inadequate on large farms; (b) it is a slow technique of
irrigation; (c) it was difficult to collect cost of services from users; (d) in 1943, 1945 and 1954, river Rima over
flooded and washed away most of the rice crop; and (e) use of manure was not popular among the farmers.
The colonial period also witnessed the establishment of the Niger Agricultural project in 1949 with the aims of

What Does Pearl Symbolize In The Scarlet Letter
In The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the character Pearl is not only a major character, but also a constant
symbol of redemption. She is the punishment for Dimmesdale and Hester s sin as well as their path to salvation. Most
importantly, however, Pearl is the scarlet letter itself. Pearl s behavior and influence establish her role as a key symbol
and a means to the evolution of the other characters.
Throughout The Scarlet Letter, Pearl serves as a punishment to Dimmesdale and Hester for their adultery. She is
described as an elf child with an impish grin , demonstrating her wild and devious nature. In Mirror Imagery in The
Scarlet Letter , Michael L. Lasser states that Hester thinks Pearl must be disordered and even essentially evil (274).

Pearl is symbolic of nature, exemplified by her birdlike movements and her wild spirit. Since nature represents God,
Pearl is essentially bringing her parents closer to God, and therefore absolving them of their sin. She reminds Hester
to repent when she took some eel grass, and imitated, as best as she could, on her own bosom, the decoration with
which she was so familiar on her mother s (161). Since green represents nature and God, Pearl aids Hester in realizing
that in order to be closer to God and salvation, she must accept her sin. Although on a macrocosmic scale Pearl is
symbolic of nature, in the scene on the beach she symbolizes the little gray bird from the sea. She pelts the seabirds
with pebbles, but stops because it grieved her to have done harm to a little being that was as wild as the sea breeze, or
as wild as Pearl herself (160). The gray bird has a white breast, illustrating that although Pearl s behavior is shady, her
intentions are pure. In addition, by representing a bird, Pearl flies between Heaven and Earth, becoming Hester s path

A foreign feeling to her. She had always murdered others that invade the island. It wasn t because she didn t feel like

Analysis Of `` For Esme, With Love And Squalor ``
In his short story, For Esmé, with Love and Squalor, J.D. Salinger utilizes the function of secondary characters to
expose the correlation between the contrasting ideas of idealism and cynicism. The three minor characters of Esmé,
her brother Charles, and Corporal Z all play different but necessary roles in the mental and emotional development of
the main character, Sergeant X. While the characters of Esmé and Charles represent the best traits of humanity, their
lifestyles contrast that of Corporal Z, a pessimistic and rude war veteran. After Salinger sets a standard of ideal human
nature through the two siblings and their interaction with Sergeant X, he purposefully introduces Corporal Z into the
story to help demonstrate the differences between the personalities of idealistic and cynical people; in doing so,
Salinger reveals relationships between youthful innocence and idealism, as well as arrogance and cynicism.
Esmé s commendable traits, such as her compassion and sophistication, reflect her perfection in the eyes of Sergeant
X. From the time she first talks to him at the restaurant, Esmé puts forth effort to develop a friendship and unique
bond with the struggling soldier. After Esmé comments to Sergeant X, I d be extremely flattered if you d write a story
exclusively for me sometime, she reminds him, It doesn t have to be terribly prolific! Just so that it isn t childish and

not only for herself but her son as well (King 312). Not to mention, it also illustrates that the mother is trying to
dismiss her motherly characteristics like being nurturing and affectionate and put up a hardened exterior because she
wants acceptance for herself. However, she did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice
eventually, which demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her motherly instincts will
always be there (King 312). Moreover, it establishes that mother is willing to push until she gets her way which is
again typical of male qualities. Therefore, the violation of the societal expectations reveals the narrator s mother s
strong will to surpass the fear of the aftermath by not complying to government authorities from two bordering

William Carlos Williams
William Carlos Williams is a leader of the Modern Poetry movement with peers such as Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot,
but broke away from it to experiment more in his own style. He was extremely creative, playing with forms and styles
of writing and not restricting himself to poetry, however, which he excelled at. The subjects of his poems were not
always people, but specific images, especially momentary ones. Many of his poems start with the word The, which
indicates that the poem will describe whatever follows The in the title. Writing was his side career to being a doctor,
which was more economical at the time. His writing takes on the analytical approach that must come from his other
career in the way he is able to dissect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By using the word fallen, the author is alluding to the loss of virtue. His desire for normalcy prevails his desire for sex
or rape (or more his desire to want what another man has) when he passes by, bowing and smiling. Looking more at
the context of the poem, the author was a doctor at the time the poem was written in 1917 as well, and it wouldn t
have been odd to see him making house calls (driving around) at 10 o clock in the morning. His humor is expressed
by his acknowledgement of his position as an observer. He is half serious, too, though, by playing up the barriers
between them. Physically, she is behind wooden walls and then the curb while he is confined to his car. Ethically, the
vows of marriage and his oath as a doctor are the strongest barriers, which are not presented straight out, but the
reader is left to pick up on these hints through descriptions of her husband s house (3). The poem even takes on a
sexual form, using breaks in the lines 2, and 7, and finishing up with the last three lines. The way the woman would
move about in negligee behind presents a sexual word not being used as a noun, but as an adjective on her state of
being. That leaves the word behind which gets constructed as a noun rather than as a preposition (Giorcelli). Taking
the physical way the poem is set up into account helps express the sexual moment of suspense that Williams is known
for. For example, in lines 7 and 8, the woman is described as

The Effects Of Extracurricular Activities On Sports...
Although many theorists criticize that the extracurricular activities takes valuable time from the family, relaxation and
leisure time, especially sport participation requires more and more time due to its increase in competiveness and
amount of practice (Melman et al., 2008; Shaw et al., 1996 in Fredericks, 2012). In Fredericks study (2012), the
unique time requirement in sports participation is explained as an enforcer to develop even stronger relationships,
better refinement of the skills and most importantly more conscientiousness. The media concentrates on the highly
involved students, which make approximately 3 6% of the entire high school student body, that clock in over 20 h per
week, whereas the average of students participates 7 8 h per week in afterschool program, which means they stay for
less then 1.5 h more after school (Fredericks, 2012). Paradoxically, according to Mahoney et al. (2006 in Fredericks,
2012) actually the most involved students, at least 20 h/per week, showed better capability in adjusting to the
academically and psychological demands. These results are only applicable to a very few amount of students and not
to the majority of the American population.
In research, a small correlation between intensity of the extracurricular activity and negative adjustment has been
proven in boys, but overall the achievement pressure made by parents, the athletes themselves, the society, the century
we live in and their surroundings has shown to be much more

Causes Of Japan Suicide
Although Japan is one of the largest countries in the world and it has the third highest economy in the world, it has
faced a great rise in suicides rate due to the many reasons that push thousands of Japanese to commit suicide yearly.
Japan s suicide rate had risen to the extent that every fifteen minutes someone commits suicide in Japan and over 100
suicides are officially reported daily. However, the rate wasn t that high until in 1998 s economic crisis in Japan that
led many people to lose their jobs and money and since then, the suicide rate stayed high. Some people argue it s the
economic reasons that leads people to suicide, while others argue it s the mental reasons. I believe it s the mental
reasons as the economic reasons will lead to mental exhausting that will lead to suicide.
According to statistics that was done by the Metropolitan Police Department in 2009, over 30,000 people committed
suicide yearly. This is why japan is called The World s Suicide Leader . And statistics shows that over 32,000
Japanese people kill themselves yearly in Japan. However, The Japanese Government doesn t consider suicides as a
public issue, but a personal matter. This Statistics shows nations that has the highest suicide rates.
And as shown, Japan is the first with 19.4 person among 100,000 committing suicide.
Economically speaking, Japan went through a great economic collapse during the 90 s that was called The Lost
Decade which stayed for over 10 years. Japan went through

Analysis Of When Dreams Come True
Art is the expression of one s creative skill, which can be expressed in many different forms. Sculptures, paintings,
clothing, music, and poems are just a few of the vast art forms. Artwork comes not only in different forms, but
different styles as well, such as abstract, representational, and nonrepresentational styles, which are some of the most
common in the world of art. When it comes to the history, medium, and technique of an artwork, there are two
specific pieces that really stand out to me. When Dreams Come True by Leonid Afremov and Mariposa by Beatriz
Milhazes are two masterfully crafted works of art that caught my eye almost immediately. Leonid Afremov is a
modern impressionistic style of an artist. Impressionist paintings seek to recreate the viewer s or artists general
impression of a depicted scene. The style is generally characterized by faint outlines and small brushstrokes of various
colors, that the eye tends to blend together at a distance. Representational is a word commonly used to describe art
forms that relate to the natural world in which we live in and are easily translated by the audience, which is exactly
what Leonid Afremov did with When Dreams Come True while using abstract, or out of the ordinary, colorways. The
history behind this artwork is shown in the 19th century impressionistic style that is used as well as the vibrant and
contrasting colors used. Afremov took advantage of this color palette in order to get a message across that

Taking a Look at Quantum Dots
To begin with in layman s language or maybe for a person who has limited or little knowledge about physics,
quantum dots are materials that are small but are sufficient to exhibit quantum mechanical properties. Quantum dots
were first discovered in 1980. They exhibit electronic properties which are between semiconductors and discrete
molecules. That is the very reason for the unusually high surface to volume ratio. The most visible use of quantum
dots is in fluorescence where the nanocrystal is capable of producing different distinctive colors determined by their
particle size.
For the more experienced and the more technical personals, Quantum dots are semiconductor nanostructures
confining the motion of the conduction band electrons, the valence band holes or the excitons and are in all the three
spatial directions. The excitons are confined to the three spatial directions only. There would be a doubt about what
excitons is thus the definition; an exciton is a state or rather a bound state of an electron or a hole which are attracted
to each other by the coulombs force. They are neutral quasiparticles that are generally existent in semiconductors and
also in insulators. They may also be found in some liquids.
The reasons for confinement can be electrostatic potential which can be due to external electrodes, strain, impurities
and doping. According to a lot of research that has been going on in this field, a quantum dot has a discrete quantized
energy spectrum.

The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies
The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or consensus
democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy (Dickovick 118 120). A
consensus democracy is founded on the principle that the citizens govern directly and that power is distributed
between the executive and legislative branches to prevent and limit one branch from gaining too much power. An
example of a consensus democracy is Switzerland, as it promotes consensus of the people, and it exhibits the factors
necessary for a direct democracy. Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority rules,
and that power is concentrated and centralized. The United Kingdom is an example of a majoritarian democracy
because it follows the majority rule principle and possesses all the qualities of a representative democracy. While
consensus democracy and majoritarian democracies are both forms of democracy, the contrasting approaches to
democratic rule they engage in foremost pertaining to the ideas of distribution of political power, causes the two types
of democracy to be diametrically opposite. A consociational or consensus democracy is commonly used in
heterogeneous or plural societies, as a majority rule democracy would be unpredictable and hazardous in such a
society. consensus democracy has its virtues in the front end of democracy. It emphasizes the belief of the consensus
of the people rather than the

Perspectives on China
In February of 2012, as I was reviewing the information about the Darden s GEMBA program, specifically the
locations of the global residencies, it was hard for me to be excited about going to China. It would be my sixth time
visiting the country. At the time, I was hoping for a more unique location, somewhere where I had not been, yet
somewhere where, from a business perspective it would be a valid place to go. How about Japan or South Korea, I
pondered.
But no, it was China, a place that I explored on multiple occasions, and a place I learned to like. To make things
worse, the destinations cities where the most obvious: Shanghai and Beijing. What else is out there, that I have not
seen and what else I can learn from visiting it again? My ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shanghai welcomed me with a taxi driver who refused to show me his meter readout, hijacked my cell phone until I
promised to pay him the outrageous taxi fee (long story culminating in me not paying him the outrageous fee),
throwing my suitcase of his trunk and driving off with his trunk up so I could not capture his license plate. Not a bad
start, I thought maybe I learn something after all.
Tia Zi Feng was everything I expected, crowded, cobble stone streets with many tiny shops, cafes, and art galleries.
My host Jamie, who had a New Zealand souvenir store at the bottom of the studio was very welcoming. My first night
he invited me to join him and a few fellow Westerners to a Shanghai style restaurant situated in an old local style
mansion. The experience was wonderful; and I had a chance to meet some interesting yet very different people; from
a yoga/photographer woman from Minnesota, who was just finishing her three year Asian adventure to an English
teacher from Ohio, to an software entrepreneur from Oregon. Impressively they were all more or less fluent in
Mandarin, which I greeted with envy as my one and a half years of learning the language had been not the most
fruitful to say the least.
But then it was time to go and meet the GEMBA 13. It was so exciting to see the guys again. The schedule looked
intense and I started to think, contrary to my previous assertion, that I may learn something.

Graffiti And Street Art
Until the late 1960s, art was demonstrated mostly within the closed doors of museums, galleries or homes, however
art experienced a change during the 1970s when graffiti and street art movements came into view. Despite the
differences between graffiti and street art, the history of street art was derived from graffiti. Graffiti movement, aka
style writing (Blanché, 2015, p. 32), emerged during the 1960s 1970s in New York City and Philadelphia as a
rebellious movement and became synonymous with hip hop culture during the 1980s (Waclawek, 2008, p. 2). Graffiti
initially involved tagging, which consisted of a writer s signature done by a spray can (Danysz, 2011, p. 25) to mark
their territory. In the second half of the 20th century the street ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

s dynamics. Danysz (2011) noted that the street as a public and collective space was getting privatized, which strongly
influenced the emergence of activists and street art visionaries (p. 21 22) where a message is a medium (p. 300). As a
visual composition, the purpose of street art is in delivering meaning that resonates with people and finds a greater
interest. Riggle (2010) perfectly defined the general and initial importance of street art by stating that street art „has
the power to engage, effortlessly and aesthetically, the masses through its manifest creativity, skill, originality, depth
of meaning, and beauty (p. 243). Although the definition of arts or what is considered as an artwork goes beyond the
scope of the following work, the common objective is verifying the consideration of street art as

  • 2. Personality Profile Reflection Paper These tests are designed to inform us of our personality, and advantages and disadvantages that may come with it. The goal is to characterize patterns of behavior, emotions, and thoughts that a person has carried throughout their lifetime. Understanding these patterns of yourself and of those around you is beneficial for group dynamics. The more you know and understand your personality the better you will be able to see how others view and react to you. Personality assessments can help us locate and change our weaknesses. They can help us better understand our motivations, styles of communication, strengths and how well we work with others. Without it, I would not be able to meet those future goals that I am so passionate about. I found it quite interesting that Positivity was listed in my top five strengths. Not that I think that I am a negative person, but I definitely didn t think it would be one of my top three. People with the strength of Positivity are generous, optimistic, and enthusiastic. They have the ability to lighten the mood within groups and can turn a negative situation into an optimistic one. I have always been one to look at the glass half full and to find hope even in the middle of setbacks. While I don t believe that my enthusiasm is always at a contagious level, I do think that I look at situations positively more than the average person. The Strategic theme allows you to sort through the clutter and find the best route (www.gallupstrengthscenter.com). People with the strength of Strategic look for different ways to progress and introduce a new way of thinking. I agree that I am a strategic thinker, but I disagree that strategic thinkers make quick decisions. I find it hard to make quick decisions because I tend to overthink and look at situations from multiple points of view and possible outcomes. • 3. Objections To The Adminstrative Process Theory Croley faces many objections to his administrative process theory. Some objections are in defense of the public choice theory while others seek to disprove the administrative theory itself. Despite the outcome of these arguments, Croley seeks to emphasize publically interested regulation is a possibility according to the administrative process theory and that under the right circumstances it will prevail. The main claim being there is more not less to the story of regulation than legislative control and interest group influence, notwithstanding the inordinate explanatory weight these factors are usually thought to carry. An initial objection uses the basic argument that a few cases of regulation successfully advancing the public interest does not undermine the public choice theory. This theory, known as the straw theory, puts forth the idea that regulation does not always end with interest groups receiving regulatory rents, but does enough times to draw attention to the efficiency of the regulation process. The theory should be able to incorporate these few cases. Croley responds in this case first by explaining the conceptual criticism of the theory would remain regardless of the analyses of the cases in this particular circumstance. Furthermore, if the theory were to accommodate those few successful examples of regulation it would not have predictive or explanatory power because of its inability to rule out any regulatory outcomes. In this case, the previous ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The reason you should listen is because the DC universe is becoming into the coolest place ever because of all of the characters and scenes and themes and fighting scenes. DC is better than Marvel. These will be some of my main points: DC has better characters, DC is more serious than Marvel is at fighting, DC is darker than Marvel. I will compare each Universe to each other and see why DC is better than Marvel. As I compare look carefully at the facts and carefully notice that DC is better than Marvel. The first character I am going to talk about is Superman. Superman is the most powerful alien out there in the DC world. Superman has the coolest powers on earth. Superman has a lot of powers such as lasers, x ray vision, flight abilities, super speed, super breath, freeze breath and he is invincible. Other heros don t really have that many powers like Superman does. Marvel s Iron Man has a cool suit and the cool powers from the suit but Superman s powers are real and he was born with his. Iron Man aka Tony built his powers/suit. As Superman has strong powers, Iron Man is encouraging science and technology education. And for Wonder Woman, she is a role model for women and girls all over the world. I love all of these heros but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. To My Dear And Loving Husband Comparison To my Dear and Loving Husband written by Anne Bradstreet, is the story of a woman admiring love for her husband. On the other hand, My mistress eyes are nothing like the sun written by William Shakespeare, is the story of the love a man feels for an imperfect woman. Although the two poems are about love, they interpret it in different ways through rhythmic structure, and emotional expression. To my Dear and Loving Husband has an impeccable rhythmic alignment. It starts with repeating if ever three times in the first three lines. She uses this to express her deep love for her husband and at the same time to confirm it. In the fourth line, she compares her love for her husband with the love other women have for their own husbands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is used to connect the last part of every line. Also, the poem is mainly a satire, not a serious poem like Bradstreet s. Instead of praising his mistress, he emphasizes her imperfections and bad characteristics. On the other hand, Bradstreet only mentions the good aspects of her husband. She never says anything negative about him. From the first line to line ten, Shakespeare describes his mistress not as the typical ideal woman, but as someone ordinary. He expresses this especially in the fourth line where he uses personification to compare her hair to black wires. Some of the things he says are; that her eyes are not shiny, her lips are not red, her breast are brown instead of the perfect white, her breath odor is unpleasant and her voice is not melodious. He does this to make his poem stand out from the crowd, and also to not make it exactly as other love poems, such as Bradstreet s. He wants his poem to be more humorous and realistic. In Bradstreet s poem everything is perfect, and in reality it does not matter what relationship we are in, perfection does not exist. After he criticizes the woman in all possible ways, his poem takes a turn. From lines eleven to fourteen, he says that although she is not perfect, he has never seen somebody as beautiful as her. Nintendo Co., Ltd. was first founded September 23rd, 1889, and based out of Kyoto, Japan, where they produced and marketed playing cards. You Cannot Trust Fast Food Companies We have all seen those advertisements that show glorious looking hamburgers that look like are simply exploding with tasty goodness, but how many times has our food actually looked like the advertisement? In my experience, that number would be zero. These advertisements are meant to trick our minds into thinking fast food is much better than it is in reality. Although, this argument could be made about just about any company in this age of brand personification, but just because other companies do this does not mean its ethically sound. Children are very easily influenced and fast food companies are quick to take advantage of this fact. (Sclosser) Companies take advantage of children for a couple of reasons with the first being the advantage of brand recognition or branding . When we are young we make strong connections to things that influence us, such as the comfort a McDonalds hamburger may bring. Companies know this and by creating a fun atmosphere that is kid friendly they can create this connection that can last for a lifetime. Fast food restaurants use kid friendly items such as the playland, kids meal, and toys that come with the kid s meals. When Joseph is awake in the morning, he doesn t have dark thoughts and is sane, but at night, Joseph is insane and hears demonic voices. In addition, the voices are icons that represent evil and darkness. Later in the first lighter part, Joseph sings Why wont you let me go, Do I threaten all your plans, I m insignificant. Extension activities were therefore directed towards increasing efficiency in crop production and marketing. Regulations were made to set and enforce standards in export crop production. The colonial government also established some agricultural development schemes to upgrade the skills of farmers and to produce agricultural commodities. The Kware irrigation scheme was established in 1926. It was situated 16miles or 25.74 kilometres north of Sokoto town. Its purposes were to increase rice yields and provide experimental data on production under severe drought during dry season and flooding during the rains. The scheme started with 1000 acres or 405 hectares involving 800 farmers with farms situated along the river banks. The irrigation scheme employed the shadoof which is an ancient Egyptian technique, also used by the Sudanese. • 15. What Does Pearl Symbolize In The Scarlet Letter In The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the character Pearl is not only a major character, but also a constant symbol of redemption. She is the punishment for Dimmesdale and Hester s sin as well as their path to salvation. Most importantly, however, Pearl is the scarlet letter itself. Pearl s behavior and influence establish her role as a key symbol and a means to the evolution of the other characters. Throughout The Scarlet Letter, Pearl serves as a punishment to Dimmesdale and Hester for their adultery. She is described as an elf child with an impish grin , demonstrating her wild and devious nature. In Mirror Imagery in The Scarlet Letter , Michael L. She reminds Hester to repent when she took some eel grass, and imitated, as best as she could, on her own bosom, the decoration with which she was so familiar on her mother s (161). Since green represents nature and God, Pearl aids Hester in realizing that in order to be closer to God and salvation, she must accept her sin. Although on a macrocosmic scale Pearl is symbolic of nature, in the scene on the beach she symbolizes the little gray bird from the sea. She pelts the seabirds with pebbles, but stops because it grieved her to have done harm to a little being that was as wild as the sea breeze, or as wild as Pearl herself (160). • 17. Analysis Of `` For Esme, With Love And Squalor `` In his short story, For Esmé, with Love and Squalor, J.D. Salinger utilizes the function of secondary characters to expose the correlation between the contrasting ideas of idealism and cynicism. The three minor characters of Esmé, her brother Charles, and Corporal Z all play different but necessary roles in the mental and emotional development of the main character, Sergeant X. While the characters of Esmé and Charles represent the best traits of humanity, their lifestyles contrast that of Corporal Z, a pessimistic and rude war veteran. After Salinger sets a standard of ideal human nature through the two siblings and their interaction with Sergeant X, he purposefully introduces Corporal Z into the story to help demonstrate the differences between the personalities of idealistic and cynical people; in doing so, Salinger reveals relationships between youthful innocence and idealism, as well as arrogance and cynicism. Esmé s commendable traits, such as her compassion and sophistication, reflect her perfection in the eyes of Sergeant X. From the time she first talks to him at the restaurant, Esmé puts forth effort to develop a friendship and unique bond with the struggling soldier. To briefly describe, Antigone is a play set in the ancient Geek era where the protagonist, Antigone, breaks a law that holds the punishment of death, to give her traitorous brother a respectable funeral. To emphasize, the phrase we had nowhere to go, that neither the Americans nor the Canadians would let us in indicates that the narrator s mother knows that her decision to drive from border to border is making the trip difficult not only for herself but her son as well (King 312). Not to mention, it also illustrates that the mother is trying to dismiss her motherly characteristics like being nurturing and affectionate and put up a hardened exterior because she wants acceptance for herself. However, she did express some hope for her son to ensure him that they will gain justice eventually, which demonstrates that even if she tries to venture out of the societal norms, her motherly instincts will always be there (King 312). Moreover, it establishes that mother is willing to push until she gets her way which is again typical of male qualities. Therefore, the violation of the societal expectations reveals the narrator s mother s strong will to surpass the fear of the aftermath by not complying to government authorities from two bordering ... The subjects of his poems were not always people, but specific images, especially momentary ones. Many of his poems start with the word The, which indicates that the poem will describe whatever follows The in the title. By using the word fallen, the author is alluding to the loss of virtue. His desire for normalcy prevails his desire for sex or rape (or more his desire to want what another man has) when he passes by, bowing and smiling. Looking more at the context of the poem, the author was a doctor at the time the poem was written in 1917 as well, and it wouldn t have been odd to see him making house calls (driving around) at 10 o clock in the morning. His humor is expressed by his acknowledgement of his position as an observer. He is half serious, too, though, by playing up the barriers between them. Physically, she is behind wooden walls and then the curb while he is confined to his car. Ethically, the vows of marriage and his oath as a doctor are the strongest barriers, which are not presented straight out, but the reader is left to pick up on these hints through descriptions of her husband s house (3). The poem even takes on a sexual form, using breaks in the lines 2, and 7, and finishing up with the last three lines. The way the woman would move about in negligee behind presents a sexual word not being used as a noun, but as an adjective on her state of being. That leaves the word behind which gets constructed as a noun rather than as a preposition (Giorcelli). Taking the physical way the poem is set up into account helps express the sexual moment of suspense that Williams is known for. For example, in lines 7 and 8, the woman is described as ... Although many theorists criticize that the extracurricular activities takes valuable time from the family, relaxation and leisure time, especially sport participation requires more and more time due to its increase in competiveness and amount of practice (Melman et al., 2008; Shaw et al., 1996 in Fredericks, 2012). In Fredericks study (2012), the unique time requirement in sports participation is explained as an enforcer to develop even stronger relationships, better refinement of the skills and most importantly more conscientiousness. The media concentrates on the highly involved students, which make approximately 3 6% of the entire high school student body, that clock in over 20 h per week, whereas the average of students participates 7 8 h per week in afterschool program, which means they stay for less then 1.5 h more after school (Fredericks, 2012). Paradoxically, according to Mahoney et al. (2006 in Fredericks, 2012) actually the most involved students, at least 20 h/per week, showed better capability in adjusting to the academically and psychological demands. These results are only applicable to a very few amount of students and not to the majority of the American population. • 26. Taking a Look at Quantum Dots To begin with in layman s language or maybe for a person who has limited or little knowledge about physics, quantum dots are materials that are small but are sufficient to exhibit quantum mechanical properties. Quantum dots were first discovered in 1980. They exhibit electronic properties which are between semiconductors and discrete molecules. That is the very reason for the unusually high surface to volume ratio. The most visible use of quantum dots is in fluorescence where the nanocrystal is capable of producing different distinctive colors determined by their particle size. For the more experienced and the more technical personals, Quantum dots are semiconductor nanostructures confining the motion of the conduction band electrons, the valence band holes or the excitons and are in all the three spatial directions. The excitons are confined to the three spatial directions only. There would be a doubt about what excitons is thus the definition; an exciton is a state or rather a bound state of an electron or a hole which are attracted to each other by the coulombs force. They are neutral quasiparticles that are generally existent in semiconductors and also in insulators. They may also be found in some liquids. The reasons for confinement can be electrostatic potential which can be due to external electrodes, strain, impurities and doping. According to a lot of research that has been going on in this field, a quantum dot has a discrete quantized energy spectrum. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Types Of Parliamentary Democracies The two types of Parliamentary democracies are direct democracy, also known as consociational or consensus democracy, and representative democracy, otherwise called majoritarian democracy (Dickovick 118 120). A consensus democracy is founded on the principle that the citizens govern directly and that power is distributed between the executive and legislative branches to prevent and limit one branch from gaining too much power. An example of a consensus democracy is Switzerland, as it promotes consensus of the people, and it exhibits the factors necessary for a direct democracy. Alternatively, a majoritarian democracy is based on the principle of majority rules, and that power is concentrated and centralized. The United Kingdom is an example of a majoritarian democracy because it follows the majority rule principle and possesses all the qualities of a representative democracy. While consensus democracy and majoritarian democracies are both forms of democracy, the contrasting approaches to democratic rule they engage in foremost pertaining to the ideas of distribution of political power, causes the two types of democracy to be diametrically opposite.
