29 Tips to Take Control of Your Life NowAbhishek Shah
Most of us go through life feeling like we’re not in control.
Our time is filled with things we have to do, while our dreams are filled with things we assume we can’t do. Social and financial obligations dictate most of our behavior, while the remainder of our choices are constrained by fear.
Life becomes a series of things that happen to us.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can systematically conquer your anxieties and eliminate the external obstacles holding you back. You can take back control. Your life can be yours. Here’s how.
Life, Prioritized: Interview with Danny Iny of Firepole MarketingMatt Ragland
This is an interview with Danny Iny from http://FirepoleMarketing.com. I first heard about Danny from a webinar he did with Corbett Barr, and it was so informative that I knew I had to learn more. Danny and I tackle questions ranging from how to stay disciplined and make choices in your business, productivity tips, training, and what to expect when starting a web-based business.
Now you're asking for it! A Culture of Continuous FeedbackJason Schreuder
Agile has feedback loops on the products we build, and on the process we use to do it, but people feedback is really hard! Studies have shown that people have a negative physiological reaction to just the thought of having to give or receive feedback. But are we conditioned to be terrible at feedback from our experiences in traditional work environments, with all of their power dynamics and political undercurrents? In this talk, we will explore the science behind giving and receiving feedback, and how you can create a culture where everyone actually asks for feedback, continually, and celebrates it as a cultural norm. Even the best agilists struggle working with teams on safety, trust, and feedback. This is a crucial leadership skill, and leaders at all levels should be well versed in this topic.
Learning Outcomes:
Interpret the science behind giving and receiving feedback
Compare various elements of effective feedback
Discuss models of kind, human-centered feedback that you can use in your teams

Improvisation is not just something for comedians. Entrepreneurs to MBA students are taking improv classes. The reason is the same for why educator leaders should be trained: improv's root is in communication. Even the basic improv principle of “yes, and” is the idea behind inquiry based education. Improv builds confidence, listening, responding skills and collaboration. It is all about the moment, the right now – essential to active communication. We'll explore this together and reflect on application to practice and the life of the TOSA.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
