What Is Self Driving Essay
Is self driving dangerous?
Self driving cars will cause many issues. Imagine If you were walking across the street
and you got run over by a self driving car. What If you were in one of these cars and it
stopped working, but you couldn t drive a normal car. Dangers like there are why self
driving cars should not be produced. Self driving cars will cause drivers to not be
experienced, gps systems can sometimes fail, and the cars cannot obey basic traffic
signs and laws, some people believe self driving cars are beneficial for younger
drivers, but this is not true. Self driving cars will cause many drivers to be not
experienced on how to drive a normal car, which can be a large problem in an
emergency. In fact, teens look forward to driving, and it is important that they are safe.
According to Total number of licensed drivers in the U.S. in 2016, by state, in 2016,
222 million people had licences. This proves that many people have licenses, but that
number will decrease significantly if many self driving cars are produced. In October,
the California Department of Motor Vehicles... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, because licences won t be needed, it will allow a large span of ages to drive.
According to Mark Phelan, self driving cars will be able to transport children in the
future. This could be very useful, however, imagine if a 5 year old could just jump in a
car and leave whenever they wanted without somebody stopping them before they did
something reclous or got lost. According to Jim Taylor, when he asks a group of young
people if they have made stupid decisions and if they will continue to make stupid
decisions, they all raised their hands. This shows that children will make stupid
decisions, and that won t change when they are in a self driving car, as a result, in no
way, should children be in cars by themselves, it is a serious hazard and should be
stopped before it is
Examples Of Justice In Antigone
Justice is in many stories with different reasons justice is being delivered or sought. In
Antigone, justice is sought for a dead brother, in the Theogony, justice is brought by
divine beings, and in Lucian s stories, justice is often contradictory. Antigone and
Theogony are to be taking more seriously than the comedic stories of Lucian, and that
is shown by how justice finds its way through the story. However, the Theogony and
Lucan s stories have a more ironic element to them to how justice play out. Antigone is
a story about Antigone, a woman who suffers the dead of her parents and brothers. The
story focuses on her seeking proper burial for one of her dead brothers who fought
against his own city. Creonthe king, honors one of the dead brothers for fighting for his
city and declares death to any who dares give burial rites to the brother who opposed
the city. As for Polyneices, who perished so miserably, an order has gone... Show more

Antigone shows no fear towards what Creon has to say, telling her sister that she can
show contempt for those laws the gods all hold in honor (Antigone pg. ?). This is
important because it shows that in Antigone, the gods are placed above the mortal
rulers. Creon might be the ruler who sets laws over his land, but the gods can set laws
above even him. Antigone is telling her sister that burial rites is something that must
be done for all who face death because the gods order that; A king has no power to
ignore these rules, even if they were to want too. She tells this directly to Creon
himself, when she admits to the crime of giving burial rites to her brother, Zeus did not
announce those laws to me (Antigone pg. ?). In other words, she told him that yes, she
committed a crime from Creon s perspective, but from her own perspective, she has
done no crime because Zeus, the god of all, did not made what she did a
Literary Analysis Of Villanelle In One Art By Elizabeth...

The Art of Losing Losing things is a part of life. It happens no matter how big or small
you are. It happens and people accept it and move on, The poem, One Art, by
Elizabeth Bishop is a very famous Villanelle poem that talks about all of that. It is
about how losing things is simple, even if it seems to be a disaster. Villanelle is a very
unique form of poetry that was created during the renaissance. Throughout the years it
has developed into a more complicated form of poetry. Many poets use it to for rustic or
pastoral themes, but bishop uses it for a whole different type of theme.
Villanelle has been around for a long time. During the renaissance, Villanelles were
originally ballad like songs. The theme of the songs were usually about the countryside.
The form of the poem, Villanelle, is known for its complex structure. Even though
Villanelle is a complicated verse form, Bishop does not let that stop her from keeping a
conversational flow. Villanelle is composed of nineteen lines, divided into six stanzas.
The first 5 stanzas contain three lines within them and the last stanza contains four lines.
The rhyme scheme of Villanelle is very straightforward. According to the article
Villanelle; Iambic Pentameter...ish, Everything in the poem rhymes with either rhyme(A)
or rhyme(B). In One Art, rhyme(A) is master, and rhyme(B) is intent (Shmoop Editorial
Team). If we break the form down, there are two refrains, which are lines
Homeland Security Research Paper
Yes, the United States is safer. The threats facing the United States of America are
forever evolving, the private and public sectors of society are attempting to keep up with
and manage them. From cyber security to biochemical warfare, risk is always present
and a something that the American public will always have to face. This essay will argue
that the United Statesis safer due to the effectiveness of the all hazard approach coupled
with the notion of prevent, prepare and protect and the awareness of the necessity of
interagency and international coordination and cooperation. The first part of this paper
will give a broad overview of why we are safer today by highlighting three key concepts
that the United States has adopted in its homeland... Show more content on

With that we get into unclear territory of how much power the government should have
in the name of national security. With such a large plethora of things that can be affected
by natural and manmade disasters, the private sector is a logical partner for protecting
the homeland and its interest. In the years since 2011, the country has struggled to find
the balance between protecting public health and safety and protective civil liberties.
This idea is one reason why the government will not attempt to secure every possible
target. Also, The federal government does not have the financial resources to shoulder
100 percent of America s homeland security responsibilities, those who own and operate
business have a natural incentive to protect them. This private incentive that is innate in
infrastructure is also a global phenomenon. The United States is not the only country
facing manmade and natural threats, and in order to best mitigate risk, we have come to
a realization that we have to push out our borders far beyond our ports edge. Interagency
coordination is a concept that highlights that expansion. The United States and our allies
overseas work hand in hand to coordinate and share intelligence that allows for all
involved to continue to evolve into safer countries. Globalization brought with it the
capacity to travel freely and quickly, critical infrastructure in countries around the world
depend on the ability of goods and people to travel quickly and efficiently across borders.
That acts as private incentive for countries to coordinate on an international level through
interagency cooperation or the conventions and law to best protect their general interest
which is the safety of their
Extending My Knowledge of Headaches and Migraines
Background
There was a point where my little brother had reoccurring migraines almost every day.
When he went to the doctor s office, the doctor stated that he needed to get more rest,
reduce the lighting, and minimize stress factors. With this in mind, I wanted to extend
my knowledge of this type of headache disorder. Migraine is the most common headache
disorder and has a cumulative lifetime migraine incidence of 43% in women and 18% in
men (Ekman, 2013). A migraine headache is usually a throbbing, unilateral painand can
worsen with exertion ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.).
Epidemiology
Migraine has a one year prevalence and common in 18% of women and 6% of men in
the United States. It primarily begins during adolescence or young adulthood and often
decreases after age 50 ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.).
Pathophysiology
Migraine is a form of neurovascular pain syndrome with alters central neuronal
processing by activating the brain stem nuclei, cortical hyper excitability, and spreading
cortical depression ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Migraine
also affects the trigeminovascular system, which triggers neuropeptide release and
causes painful inflammation in cranial vessels and the dura mater ( Migraine: Headache:
Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Migraine attacks are not caused by a primary
vasvular event, but episodic and varies among different patients (Goadsby, Lipton,
Ferrari, 2002).
New Suvs Vs. 7 Passenger Midsize Suv
Contemporary SUVs are not much different from minivans, but there are a handful of
models including the Land Rover LR4 designed for rugged off road duty. The LR4 has
a safari like design, but brings in all the creature comforts customers demand in a
modern 5 or 7 passenger midsize SUV.
The 2016 Land Rover LR4 is a midsize SUV available in three trims: base, HSE, and
HSE Luxury. A 3.0 liter, supercharged V 6 engine is standard and is paired with an 8
speed automatic transmission.
A permanent 4x4 system is standard and is controlled by a panel located at the base of
the center console. An available two speed transfer gearbox provides shift on the fly
capability. The current edition is the fourth generation of an SUV series previously
marketed as the Discovery, LR2, and the LR3.
Exterior
A square profile and tall roof pillars are among the more notable features of the Land
Rover LR4. This 4x4 SUV seems like it would be just as familiar with plying the
grasslands of the Masai Mara National Reserve as it would navigating the teeming streets
of Manhattan. That seems like a contradiction for most SUVs, but not so for Land Rover.
The boxy lines of the LR4 demonstrate the heft of this near three ton SUV.
Aerodynamics were hardly a concern when its designers crafted a model that seems
closer to the original 1948 Land Rover than any other vehicle offered by this British
brand today.
The front fascia is marked by a broad grille with traditional headlamps present. The lower
The And Cons Of Cell Phones
When deciding to give your teen a cell phone it s imperative that you research the pro s
and cons of adolescents having cell phones. With this information, you can allow your
teen to be more efficient and hopefully dodge the 7 mishaps that most teens fall into
when operating a cell phone. When a child hits their teen years they become more
involved with their friends than they do their family. So, we as parents find that
giving them a cell phone helps to modify their whereabouts and gives us peace of mind
knowing we can always get a hold of them and vise versa. Since our teens are so
focused on friends, having a cell phone has been a useful tool in getting the instant
gratitude that they are looking for. Unfortunately, studies have shown there are many
medical issues that will affect teens in their future years as adults. Below is a list of
the seven mishaps with a brief description. 1.Tendonitis: Many people who use a cell
phone on a regular basis text daily; this is a new way to communicate. By texting daily
we will see more and more individuals with tendonitis in their hands, which will cause
arthritis and carpal tunnel. 2.Stress: Having a cell phone can be stressful because many
teens are very vulnerable and it s important to them to have friends and to be able to fit
in with their peers. They want instant answers, instant responses. Having a cell phone
causes teens to be on the phone too much and they may lose their ability to work on

The Renaissance Was A Time Of `` Rebirth `` And Changing...
The renaissance was a time of rebirth and changing thoughts. The time of the
renaissance was between the 14th century and went to the 17th century.Prior to the
renaissance, people of the dark age devoted their life towards god, the changing thoughts
of the renaissance lead people to devote their life to learning. The people s top priority
was no longer pleasing God and doing good for God, instead they began to change their
priorities. God was still a big part of people s lives but there was also a yearn for
education. Mathematics was a big part of the renaissance, because it helped to make
advancement in all areas of learning. The changing values to the Renaissance lead to

The middle age was very focused on pleasing god. The renaissance re introduced people
s passion for learning others topics then god. People believed that studying the subjects
like history, literature and philosophy would help to understand the problems of
humanity. The renaissance was very different from the middle agesbecause there were a
lot of important people making important discoveries and producing a lot of very
famous artwork. The renaissance was called rebirth because many people believed that
the renaissance was a re discovery of the world. There was a burst of enthusiasm for
learning about everything. Math contributed to learning in many ways, new
mathematical thoughts led to new art techniques. New math theories were also being
discovered, and the same math theories that were discovered are used in schools today.
Math was also beneficial to scientist and aided them in scientific discoveries.
Art can be used to express something thing that words cannot. Math is a big part of art, it
can help make a painting more realistic. Using math to get the painting more
proportionate and realistic. Previously artist drew things that were more important bigger
and things that were less important smaller, which created very unrealistic looking
paintings. Renaissance painters were more realistic painters who worried about
proportions, instead of drawing something that is important bigger and
Common Botox Myths
Common Botox Myths...BUSTED Botox is a very controversial cosmetic treatment for
a variety of reasons, including its surprising origin as well as some of the shocking
celebrity transformations it may have caused. However, the following myths give
Botox a much worse name than it deserves. Botox is Not Extremely Painful The idea
that Botox injections are extremely painful has been spread around the Internet for ages,
probably due to the fact that it is referred to as a neurotoxin. There s no way that
something with a name like that can t be extremely painful, right? Wrong: while any
injection will be slightly painful, Botox is rarely, if ever, more painful than any other
injection. You will probably feel a slight pain immediately after the injection, which...

As a result, many people have the misconception that these treatments are, more or less,
the same thing. This myth is incredibly wrong: they couldn t be more different. Botox
is a neurotoxin that relaxes the tension in the muscles that create wrinkles. Meanwhile,
dermal fillers are actually bits of soft tissue carefully inserted underneath wrinkles.
They literally fill in the skin vacancy created by the wrinkle. Botox is Not Permanent
Aging people who are looking to look young forever often hold out hope that Botox is a
permanent wrinkle treatment. However, that is simply not the case: Botox only lifts and
treats wrinkles for about three to four months at a time. After that, the wrinkles will start
to reappear. That s why so many people start getting multiple Botox treatments a year,
sometimes as many as four every year. Botox Does Not Make Wrinkles Worse The non
permanent nature of Botox treatments has caused many people to wonder whether or not
Botox actually makes wrinkles worse. This complaint usually occurs after someone has
decided to stop using Botox and allow their wrinkles to

[4] What is Tender Offers
Throughout the years many acquisitions have been hostile, which has led to companies
to creative preventative and defensive takeover methods. Preventative is used as a way
to reduce the likelihood of a takeover, and defensive measure (active measures) are used

Another method is the White Knight, which is when the company doesn t want the
acquiring company to takeover, they find a more suitable company to acquire them
instead. This may be done to prevent the disassembly of the target. Takeover tactics
have been used throughout history. Three important tactics are Bidding strategies,
Casual pass, and Bear hugs. Bidding strategy is 2/3 successful to the 1st bidder.
Bidders have to watch out for not only the target company, but also for other bidders.
There has been a higher successrate on bidders who actually contact the target
company first in hopes of a more amiable bid. A second bid can be even more
successful, therefore the first bidder shouldn t offer too much to prepare for a
comeback bid. This is called Optimal Bidder. Casual pass is an informal overture
before bidding . The problem with this is that it gives the target advance warning of
the possible takeover. Bearhugs apply pressure to the target before bidding. The
acquirer contact the Board of directors and state that they will go to the stockholders
and present an offer to them without the Board s consent. This forces the target to take
a public position and puts pressure on the Board because it must consider the offers or
they violate fiduciary duties. Tender offers have been debateable over the years. There is
no specific definistion as to what
A Comparison Of The Henegar Center And The Odyssey
Architecture today has advanced in many ways than from past ancient civilizations. A
public building in Downtown Melbourne, the Henegar Center, is a theater that was
renovated from a deserted and run down middle school in 1993. The Henegar Center is
a modern version of what the Theater of Epidaurus was back in ancient Greece. The
Henegar Center and the Theater of Epidaurus have both similarities and differences in the
architectureand culture based on the time period that they were built.
The architecture of a theater is complicated, especially in ancient times, because the
design must allow sound to travel through a large amount of space and allow a large
audience to view the scenery. The two theaters have few similarities, such as the
staircase style seats where the rows increase in height. The two theaters were built in
two different time periods and therefore very different in technology and style. The
Henegar Center is laid out in a proscenium style. A proscenium style stage is where
there is an arch around the stage allowing the sound to travel in a single direction to the
audience in front of the performers. On the other hand, the Theater of Epidaurus was laid
out in a semi circle with the stage at the lowest, most center point.
Another big architectural difference between the two theaters is that the Henegar Center
is inside while the Theater of Epidaurus is outside. The Henegar Center is inside because
it allows more control over the direction and reach of sound.
Wealthy Watches
We conducted several processes to test the accounts receivable of Wealthy Watches Inc.
At the beginning, we agreed the balance of the accounts receivable detail listing to the
trial balance and subsequently to the financial statements to ensure completeness of the
population.
Before conduct testing, we made professional judgment to identify the most risky items
in a population for detailed testing. In this process, the sufficiency of population will be
addressed because that the risk based approach will only test the sampled part of
population, the remaining part of population will be immaterial or testing in other
manners. After imported data file, we must ensure the accurate of data population before
conduct testing.
First, we conducted risk based approach with data analysis techniques unusual invoice

detailed listing, and tested whether there are invoices outside the expected range of
invoice number and special comments associated with accounts receivable items. As a

We applied judgment to determine whether any specific items within the population
should be selected for individual testing in order to mitigate RMM. We inputted High

Also, we took into account tolerable misstatement for the population; the allowable risk
of incorrect acceptance and additional characteristics of the population to determine

The Volt Prime Short Story
The Volt Prime sat upon a ledge, high above ruins of a great hall. He was silent, hidden
in the darkness of the crumbling ceiling, watching the group below. There were four of
them: a Mag, an Inaros, a Nidus, and an Excalibur. They stood around a ruined pit of
water and metal. The silence that filled this world was deafening and ready to burst. It
was a silence made up of many pieces. In the Void, there had been an ambient energy that
charged the air, the pulsation almost tangible, but here in the void of space, there was
nothing. It held something else, something heavy, that weighed down upon the Oro. The
heaviest silence could not be broken by the simple sound of a breaking wall or the wind
whistling past fallen towers, it was the absence of life.... Show more content on

The Excalibur stepped forward to the nearest twisted bulb of metal, the remains of a
cryo pod, and put his hand to it. It was probably cold, lifeless, nothing but a shell and a
reflection of a failed promise remembered only by the one who sat above it all. If they
looked inside it would be empty, the remains of what were inside had been returned to
the Void, as they all would be. It was their true home and, though no Tenno would ever
speak of it, they all felt the silent pull of the Void calling them back and the gentle,
familiar whispers beneath it. The Excalibur glanced up at where the Volt Prime sat, but
saw nothing in the gloom above. He stared for a long moment, before returning his
attention back to the mess. The Volt Prime sat still, suddenly aware of the presence
behind him. Gentle footsteps were muffled by the caress of velvet slippers upon the
dusty ground. A voice that was far sweeter than he had remembered spoke.
You could join them, Tenno.
To what purpose? How could I face them? His response was quiet and devoid of
emotion, but the gentle tremble of guilt glided along the surface.

Westpac recognize that in order for their telecommuting program to work they needed
to provide the staff with the right tools to do the job efficiently and compliantly, they
were also able to connect to a wider range of their staff. Empirical research conducted
by Deloitte shows that to Only 62% of employees without access to flexible IT
policies report feeling satisfied at work. Up to 83% of employees with access to
flexible IT policies (such as social media access) report feeling satisfied at work

department, which includes employee satisfaction. A categorical and strategic plan that

Essay Martha Stewart s Insider Trading
Martha Stewart s Insider Trading
Martha Stewart, the countries top icon for homemaking has been in the eye of the
public since June 2002, but not for her craftiness or culinary abilities. Stewart instead
has the spotlight on her for crimes of insider trading. A tip from her former broker Peter
E. Bacanovic, persuaded her into selling her IMClone stock after sharing information
about a close friend of Stewart s getting rid of his shares. Stewart s companion, Sam
Waksal, was also the chief executive of IMClone Systems Inc. IMClone Systems is a
well known company specializing in the research and development of therapies
treatments of cancer. The stock selling was provoked due to a leak of information about

The question being debated in the business field is who is to blame in this scenario,
and if it is Stewart, should her punishments be so severe? Some seem to think that the
charges and trails are ridiculous. The Securities and Exchange Commission should leave
people like Stewart alone and concentrate on real corporate crooks. (Glassman).
However others look at it as something that cannot be tolerated and believe that if she is
not punished to the maximum, then others will not be afraid to follow in her footsteps.
On the other hand there are many people that think that people who are high up on the
corporate chain should be prosecuted just as hardly if not harder then regular criminals
because of all their benefits from the government. As for the average high class citizen
they believe that Martha should be prosecuted because they think she is wrong and
giving their class of people a bad name, which black balls the whole brokerage industry
as well as certain firms such as Merrill lynch. Juror of the Stewart Trail, Chappell
Hartridge, says Maybe it s a victory for the little guys who lose money in the Market
because of these kinds of transactions, Or maybe its just a sigh of relief to the rest of
the guys who are doing the wrong thing still and wanted to have someone else get
caught in the process and are just happy that it wasn t them. But not to play devils
advocate but maybe its just the issue of having a
The Policy And Regulations On Ccs
2.9Policy and Regulations on CCS 2.9.1What Does a Comprehensive Policy Framework
Look like? According to IEA s (2012) Technology Perspectives 2012 2oC report, limiting
the long term global temperature increase to 2oC necessitates CCS to account for one
sixth of emission reduction from a business as usual scenario by 2050 (IEA, 2013a, p.5).
This implies that the amount of captured and stored CO2 across the power generation
sector should hit about 7.8 GtCO2 in 2050 (IEA, 2012). Achieving these rather ambitious
targets requires comprehensive policy frameworks both nationally internationally, to
promote both demonstration and commercial CCS deployment and also ensure it is
undertaken in a safe and environmentally friendly manner (IEA, 2014). These policies
should be inclusive enough to comprise both reliable emission reduction measures and an
integrated support (including funding) for Research, Development and Demonstration
(RD D) (Figure 14) (IEA, 2012). Highlighted below are the perceived insights of a
coherent and comprehensive policy framework for promoting CCS demonstration and
deployment; which include the key indicators relevant for assessing government progress
towards implementation of drivers for CCS demonstration and deployment (IEA, 2014b,
p.11 12). 2.9.2International Legislation and Conventions The main international
conventions relevant to CCS include the 1992 Oslo Paris (OSPAR) Convention, the
United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS),
The Notebook Analysis

The World s Greatest Success Story
Samsung is perhaps the world s greatest success story. Started in 1938 in Taegu, Korea
by Lee Byung Chul, Samsung has sprouted from a small company under Japanese rule,
into the one of the world s leaders in technology and innovation. It is a result of the
Confucian principles embraced by the company and its presidents and executive
decisions and eagerness to adapt to the rapidly changing world. Principles including
leading honorably and with strength, emphasising the ruler subject relationship, Chun
tzu, making personal relationships a priority in a business setting, in addition to keeping
accordance with Jen,a warm heartedness and compassion that allows to one to want to
better humanity (Lander). In addition to Confucianism, Samsung has learned to innovate,
create demand, and learn from other companies successes and failures. With this
combination of old world Confucian principles and the ability to diversify and evolve,
Samsung has experienced intense growth and success, beating out Apple and Panasonic
and gaining a foothold in the digital age(Park and Barjot). According to Park and Barjot,
Samsung s success came from two areas: Confucian ethics instilled into Samsung s
workforce and strong executive leadership, specifically LeeByung Chul and to a lesser
degree Kun Hee Lee. Lee Byung Chul, the founder of Samsung, came from an upper
class family of landlord and due to this, Lee was able to receive a strong Confucian
education in his youth, which taught him

What If you were in one of these cars and it stopped working, but you couldn t drive a normal car. Dangers like there are why self driving cars should not be produced. Self driving cars will cause drivers to not be experienced, gps systems can sometimes fail, and the cars cannot obey basic traffic signs and laws, some people believe self driving cars are beneficial for younger drivers, but this is not true. Self driving cars will cause many drivers to be not experienced on how to drive a normal car, which can be a large problem in an emergency. In fact, teens look forward to driving, and it is important that they are safe. According to Total number of licensed drivers in the U.S. in 2016, by state, in 2016, 222 million people had licences. This proves that many people have licenses, but that number will decrease significantly if many self driving cars are produced. In October, the California Department of Motor Vehicles... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, because licences won t be needed, it will allow a large span of ages to drive. According to Mark Phelan, self driving cars will be able to transport children in the future. This could be very useful, however, imagine if a 5 year old could just jump in a car and leave whenever they wanted without somebody stopping them before they did something reclous or got lost. According to Jim Taylor, when he asks a group of young people if they have made stupid decisions and if they will continue to make stupid decisions, they all raised their hands. This shows that children will make stupid decisions, and that won t change when they are in a self driving car, as a result, in no way, should children be in cars by themselves, it is a serious hazard and should be stopped before it is
  • 3. Examples Of Justice In Antigone Justice is in many stories with different reasons justice is being delivered or sought. In Antigone, justice is sought for a dead brother, in the Theogony, justice is brought by divine beings, and in Lucian s stories, justice is often contradictory. Antigone and Theogony are to be taking more seriously than the comedic stories of Lucian, and that is shown by how justice finds its way through the story. However, the Theogony and Lucan s stories have a more ironic element to them to how justice play out. Antigone is a story about Antigone, a woman who suffers the dead of her parents and brothers. The story focuses on her seeking proper burial for one of her dead brothers who fought against his own city. Creonthe king, honors one of the dead brothers for fighting for his city and declares death to any who dares give burial rites to the brother who opposed the city. As for Polyneices, who perished so miserably, an order has gone... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Antigone shows no fear towards what Creon has to say, telling her sister that she can show contempt for those laws the gods all hold in honor (Antigone pg. ?). This is important because it shows that in Antigone, the gods are placed above the mortal rulers. Creon might be the ruler who sets laws over his land, but the gods can set laws above even him. Antigone is telling her sister that burial rites is something that must be done for all who face death because the gods order that; A king has no power to ignore these rules, even if they were to want too. She tells this directly to Creon himself, when she admits to the crime of giving burial rites to her brother, Zeus did not announce those laws to me (Antigone pg. ?). In other words, she told him that yes, she committed a crime from Creon s perspective, but from her own perspective, she has done no crime because Zeus, the god of all, did not made what she did a
  • 4. Literary Analysis Of Villanelle In One Art By Elizabeth... Jessica Dye Mr. Kountz 4Y 31 August 2017 The Art of Losing Losing things is a part of life. It happens no matter how big or small you are. It happens and people accept it and move on, The poem, One Art, by Elizabeth Bishop is a very famous Villanelle poem that talks about all of that. It is about how losing things is simple, even if it seems to be a disaster. Villanelle is a very unique form of poetry that was created during the renaissance. Throughout the years it has developed into a more complicated form of poetry. Many poets use it to for rustic or pastoral themes, but bishop uses it for a whole different type of theme. Villanelle has been around for a long time. During the renaissance, Villanelles were originally ballad like songs. The theme of the songs were usually about the countryside. The form of the poem, Villanelle, is known for its complex structure. Even though Villanelle is a complicated verse form, Bishop does not let that stop her from keeping a conversational flow. Villanelle is composed of nineteen lines, divided into six stanzas. The first 5 stanzas contain three lines within them and the last stanza contains four lines. The rhyme scheme of Villanelle is very straightforward. According to the article Villanelle; Iambic Pentameter...ish, Everything in the poem rhymes with either rhyme(A) or rhyme(B). In One Art, rhyme(A) is master, and rhyme(B) is intent (Shmoop Editorial Team). If we break the form down, there are two refrains, which are lines
  • 5. Homeland Security Research Paper Yes, the United States is safer. The threats facing the United States of America are forever evolving, the private and public sectors of society are attempting to keep up with and manage them. From cyber security to biochemical warfare, risk is always present and a something that the American public will always have to face. This essay will argue that the United Statesis safer due to the effectiveness of the all hazard approach coupled with the notion of prevent, prepare and protect and the awareness of the necessity of interagency and international coordination and cooperation. The first part of this paper will give a broad overview of why we are safer today by highlighting three key concepts that the United States has adopted in its homeland... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With that we get into unclear territory of how much power the government should have in the name of national security. With such a large plethora of things that can be affected by natural and manmade disasters, the private sector is a logical partner for protecting the homeland and its interest. In the years since 2011, the country has struggled to find the balance between protecting public health and safety and protective civil liberties. This idea is one reason why the government will not attempt to secure every possible target. Also, The federal government does not have the financial resources to shoulder 100 percent of America s homeland security responsibilities, those who own and operate business have a natural incentive to protect them. This private incentive that is innate in infrastructure is also a global phenomenon. The United States is not the only country facing manmade and natural threats, and in order to best mitigate risk, we have come to a realization that we have to push out our borders far beyond our ports edge. Interagency coordination is a concept that highlights that expansion. The United States and our allies overseas work hand in hand to coordinate and share intelligence that allows for all involved to continue to evolve into safer countries. Globalization brought with it the capacity to travel freely and quickly, critical infrastructure in countries around the world depend on the ability of goods and people to travel quickly and efficiently across borders. That acts as private incentive for countries to coordinate on an international level through interagency cooperation or the conventions and law to best protect their general interest which is the safety of their
  • 6. Extending My Knowledge of Headaches and Migraines Background There was a point where my little brother had reoccurring migraines almost every day. When he went to the doctor s office, the doctor stated that he needed to get more rest, reduce the lighting, and minimize stress factors. With this in mind, I wanted to extend my knowledge of this type of headache disorder. Migraine is the most common headache disorder and has a cumulative lifetime migraine incidence of 43% in women and 18% in men (Ekman, 2013). A migraine headache is usually a throbbing, unilateral painand can worsen with exertion ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Epidemiology Migraine has a one year prevalence and common in 18% of women and 6% of men in the United States. It primarily begins during adolescence or young adulthood and often decreases after age 50 ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Pathophysiology Migraine is a form of neurovascular pain syndrome with alters central neuronal processing by activating the brain stem nuclei, cortical hyper excitability, and spreading cortical depression ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Migraine also affects the trigeminovascular system, which triggers neuropeptide release and causes painful inflammation in cranial vessels and the dura mater ( Migraine: Headache: Merck Manual Professional , n.d.). Migraine attacks are not caused by a primary vasvular event, but episodic and varies among different patients (Goadsby, Lipton, Ferrari, 2002).
  • 7. New Suvs Vs. 7 Passenger Midsize Suv Contemporary SUVs are not much different from minivans, but there are a handful of models including the Land Rover LR4 designed for rugged off road duty. The LR4 has a safari like design, but brings in all the creature comforts customers demand in a modern 5 or 7 passenger midsize SUV. The 2016 Land Rover LR4 is a midsize SUV available in three trims: base, HSE, and HSE Luxury. A 3.0 liter, supercharged V 6 engine is standard and is paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission. A permanent 4x4 system is standard and is controlled by a panel located at the base of the center console. An available two speed transfer gearbox provides shift on the fly capability. The current edition is the fourth generation of an SUV series previously marketed as the Discovery, LR2, and the LR3. Exterior A square profile and tall roof pillars are among the more notable features of the Land Rover LR4. This 4x4 SUV seems like it would be just as familiar with plying the grasslands of the Masai Mara National Reserve as it would navigating the teeming streets of Manhattan. That seems like a contradiction for most SUVs, but not so for Land Rover. The boxy lines of the LR4 demonstrate the heft of this near three ton SUV. Aerodynamics were hardly a concern when its designers crafted a model that seems closer to the original 1948 Land Rover than any other vehicle offered by this British brand today. With this information, you can allow your teen to be more efficient and hopefully dodge the 7 mishaps that most teens fall into when operating a cell phone. So, we as parents find that giving them a cell phone helps to modify their whereabouts and gives us peace of mind knowing we can always get a hold of them and vise versa. Since our teens are so focused on friends, having a cell phone has been a useful tool in getting the instant gratitude that they are looking for. Unfortunately, studies have shown there are many medical issues that will affect teens in their future years as adults. Botox is Not Extremely Painful The idea that Botox injections are extremely painful has been spread around the Internet for ages, probably due to the fact that it is referred to as a neurotoxin. Botox is Not Permanent Aging people who are looking to look young forever often hold out hope that Botox is a permanent wrinkle treatment. However, that is simply not the case: Botox only lifts and treats wrinkles for about three to four months at a time. After that, the wrinkles will start to reappear. Another method is the White Knight, which is when the company doesn t want the acquiring company to takeover, they find a more suitable company to acquire them instead. This may be done to prevent the disassembly of the target. Takeover tactics have been used throughout history. Three important tactics are Bidding strategies, Casual pass, and Bear hugs. Bidding strategy is 2/3 successful to the 1st bidder. Bidders have to watch out for not only the target company, but also for other bidders. There has been a higher successrate on bidders who actually contact the target company first in hopes of a more amiable bid. A second bid can be even more successful, therefore the first bidder shouldn t offer too much to prepare for a comeback bid. This is called Optimal Bidder. Casual pass is an informal overture before bidding . The problem with this is that it gives the target advance warning of the possible takeover. Bearhugs apply pressure to the target before bidding. The acquirer contact the Board of directors and state that they will go to the stockholders and present an offer to them without the Board s consent. This forces the target to take a public position and puts pressure on the Board because it must consider the offers or they violate fiduciary duties. Tender offers have been debateable over the years. There is no specific definistion as to what
  • 13. A Comparison Of The Henegar Center And The Odyssey Architecture today has advanced in many ways than from past ancient civilizations. A public building in Downtown Melbourne, the Henegar Center, is a theater that was renovated from a deserted and run down middle school in 1993. The Henegar Center is a modern version of what the Theater of Epidaurus was back in ancient Greece. The Henegar Center and the Theater of Epidaurus have both similarities and differences in the architectureand culture based on the time period that they were built. The architecture of a theater is complicated, especially in ancient times, because the design must allow sound to travel through a large amount of space and allow a large audience to view the scenery. The two theaters have few similarities, such as the staircase style seats where the rows increase in height. The two theaters were built in two different time periods and therefore very different in technology and style. The Henegar Center is laid out in a proscenium style. A proscenium style stage is where there is an arch around the stage allowing the sound to travel in a single direction to the audience in front of the performers. On the other hand, the Theater of Epidaurus was laid out in a semi circle with the stage at the lowest, most center point. Another big architectural difference between the two theaters is that the Henegar Center is inside while the Theater of Epidaurus is outside. The Henegar Center is inside because it allows more control over the direction and reach of sound.

It was their true home and, though no Tenno would ever speak of it, they all felt the silent pull of the Void calling them back and the gentle, familiar whispers beneath it. According to IEA s (2012) Technology Perspectives 2012 2oC report, limiting the long term global temperature increase to 2oC necessitates CCS to account for one sixth of emission reduction from a business as usual scenario by 2050 (IEA, 2013a, p.5). This implies that the amount of captured and stored CO2 across the power generation sector should hit about 7.8 GtCO2 in 2050 (IEA, 2012). Achieving these rather ambitious targets requires comprehensive policy frameworks both nationally internationally, to promote both demonstration and commercial CCS deployment and also ensure it is undertaken in a safe and environmentally friendly manner (IEA, 2014). These policies should be inclusive enough to comprise both reliable emission reduction measures and an integrated support (including funding) for Research, Development and Demonstration (RD D) (Figure 14) (IEA, 2012).
