Antonin Leopold Dvorak born in Czech in 1841 he was the second major Czech
composer to become recognised across the world. Although he did not come from a
wealthy family Dvorak showed much musical talent. During 1857 he entered the
Prague Organ School where he received in depth musical training both theoretically
and instrumentally. Symphony No.8 was composed during 1889 and premiered on
February 2, 1890 and conducted by Dvorak himself. It was composed in a small
town northeast of Iowa and the countryside is reflected in this piece. During the
summer of 1889 Dvorak retired to his home at Vysoka away from the pressures of
urban life and away from public and publishers demands. It was during this time
that he wanted to create something different from the other symphonies, with
individual thoughts worked out in a new way, and during 1890 he dedicated it for
my installation as a member of the Czech Academy of the Emperor Franz Joseph
for Sciences, Literature, and Arts. The symphony is written for the flute, piccolo,
oboe, English horn, clarinet, bassoon, horns, trumpets, trombones, tuba, timpani

unique attributes. Some are carnivores. Others are herbivores. Many are indigenous
to certain biomes. Some are thriving in population, while others are on the brink of
extinction. All animals have their specialties in surviving. One such unique animal is
the snow leopard. The snow leopard is fighting for its existence against many
obstacles. The snow leopard has many adaptations to its biome. This animal is very
unique and scarce. The snow leopard is indigenous to the mountains of Central Asia.
Their habitat is in total two million kilometers. The habitat crosses twelve different
countries. These countries include China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, India,
Bhutan, Mongolia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
This mountain range is called the Himalayas. Snow leopards are located between
three thousand and five thousand four hundred meters above sea level, except in
Russia and mongolia where they are found at one thousand meters. The climate at
this elevation is typically dry and cold. Because of this, only small shrubs and
grasses can grow on the steep slopes of the mountain. This terrain is prefered for

Around the turn of the nineteenth century, new musical forms such as ragtime and
jazz saw development in urbanized areas particularly through the influence of the
African American community. These contemporary genres compelled the evolution
of dance toward expression that was more exuberant with exaggerated body
movements (Edmondson). By the 1920s, this led to the creation of the Charleston

The experiments took place in researchers area and the chamber 1 of the IEQ Lab

Being a doctor is in my family blood. Before my mother immigrated to the US, she
was a gynecologist in China. I could tell from her vivid talking and the gleam in
her eyes that there is nothing more precious than the joy of watching a new baby
being brought into the world. She would always talk about how much she missed
the time spent at the hospital. Every day, she would work for more than twelve
hours, but all her tiredness would be forgotten once she heard the first cry of a baby.

I have to say, this play was intriguing to me, with the three interlocking plots, all of

Once Upon a Social Issue Fairy tales have always been told to us as children; whether
to comfort or entertain us, they always seem to be a part of everyone s childhood.
Once Upon A Time , the title is a characteristic of a fairy tale, but she leads the story
to an ending that is anything other than happily ever after (Gordimer 12). Although
Nadine Gordimer s title is typical in a fairy tale in the story One upon a time , the
story she writes is anything but typical. Instead of dealing with characteristics and
synonymous with fairy tales, the author uses irony to reflect the idea of humans ...
When it says DRAGON S TEETH it reminds me of a fairy tale. Usually in fairy tales
The story involves an upper class woman, generally a princess or similar high
ranking nobility, saved from a dragon, either a literal dragon or a similar danger,
by the hero (in this case the little boy pretending to be a prince). After the mom
reads the boy a story of saving the princess through thorns, which in this case is the

girl and brings her back to life. This fairy tale is ironic because usually fairy tales end
happily while this fairy tale is a more realistic fairy tale.
The story s first paragraph starts with family existing by a man, his wife, their

under the apartheid system. The separation between blacks and whites are huge,
and every family in the suburb is secured in any possible way. No one from the
outside is allowed in. Even though the husband keeps telling his wife that these
people were not allowed into the suburb except as reliable housemaids and
gardeners, so there was nothing to fear (Gordimer 12), the family keeps developing
their safety equipment, in case something could happened. The irony is that the
family has no idea what is happening outside the fence. They call them these people

Epworth Children and Family Services. Specifically it was at the Drop In Center,
working with their Older Youth Services department. Epworth is a well known
facility that services a thousand different types of clients for many different things.
The slogan on all of the promotional material is To Help Children, Youth, and
Families Move Toward Self Sufficiency, by focusing on health, housing, education,
and employment . For 150 years this company has provided underprivileged youth,
families in need and any other clients that who can benefit from their services.
Understanding the needs of their clients and helping them surpass the odds to a
better future is one of Epworth s many goals they teach their staff. Epworth has
created a system that advocates for the youth and families in need that have a safe
place to transform their life.

Marijuana, or cannabis, is a plant well known throughout the entire country. In the
United States, a total of 23 states and the District of Columbia have legalized the
use of marijuana in some shape or form, whether it be recreational or medicinal
(State Marijuana). Recreational uses of the plant are legal to anyone over the age
of 21, in the states that have passed laws to legalize free use. Medicinally,
Marijuana has been legal for several years. The debate over widespread legalization
is a continuous battle involving the United States in all its entirety. The prohibition
of the plant started in the year 1937 and came to an end in 1997 (60 Years). Colorado
led the way by passing a bill making the state the first to have a profitable system...
These grow sites affect wildlife, vegetation, water, soil, and other natural resources
through the use of chemicals, fertilizers, terracing, and poaching. Marijuana
cultivation results in the chemical contamination and alteration of watersheds;
diversion of natural water courses; elimination of native vegetation; wildfire
hazards; poaching of wildlife; and disposal of garbage, non biodegradable materials,
and human waste. Marijuana growers apply insecticides directly to plants to protect
them from insect damage. Chemical repellants and poisons are applied at the base of
the marijuana plants and around the perimeter of the grow site to ward off or kill
rats, deer, and other animals that could cause crop damage. Toxic chemicals are
applied to irrigation hoses to prevent damage by rodents. According to the National
Park Service, degradation to the landscape includes tree and vegetation clearing, use
of various chemicals and fertilizers that pollute the land and contribute to food chain
contamination, and construction of ditches and crude dams to divert streams and
other water sources with irrigation equipment

Analysis of the Fallout New Vegas Video Game
Fallout New Vegas takes place in post nuclear Las Vegas, where the New
California Republic (NCR) and Caesars Legion are battling it out for control of the
strip. You are a random courier who wakes up in the small town of New Springs
after being shot in the head. After being patched up, you set off into the Mojave to
find out who shot you. When FalloutNew Vegas was announced, I was not interested
in it at all. I had never heard of the Falloutgames beforehand, and it just seemed like
a very generic shooter. Was I ever wrong. Fallout New Vegas is now one of my
favourite games of all time. The most amazing thing about Fallout New Vegas is the
atmosphere. The gamehas a very nineteen fifty s style to it. In the more civilized
parts of New Vegas people walk around with the elvis style jackets and the flowing
skirts that were popular in the 50 s. There is also an optional in game radio which
belts out popular fifties and sixties tunes from the likes of Nat King Cole and Dean
Martin. It all really makes you feel like you re actually there. Another thing that
makes Fallout New Vegas great is overall game play. The game is a mix between a
shooter and a role playing game. The game takes place from a first person perspective
and your character generally uses guns and laser weapons, but you also level up.
When you level up you get experience points to upgrade different skills like your
ability to fix things or your speaking skills. If you want to be able to talk

Third Self-Evaluation
Third Self Evaluation I felt more comfortable during this speech than I had in my
previous two speeches. I m not sure if it was because of how much I love the topic of
aviation, or if it s because I m getting more and more exposed to public speaking.
Nevertheless, I haven t yet viewed my speech as I m writingthis, but I felt that I hit
my goals of limited uh/ums, more movement, and staying organized in order to hit
every point. I felt that I was able to mix in a few more jokes during this speech,
which hopefully helped to liven it up, especially because of how technical it got
during the aerodynamics. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I thoughtI used only a few uh
/ums all I can do is ask is to do a little better each time! I did catch myself

The Controversy Of Banning Guns
Today guns are used for a number of reasons. Murders, burglaries, and mass
shootings are just some of the crimes people have committed with guns. Guns are
also used by innocent people for self defense in dangerous situations. Guns can both
take lives and save them. The right to bear arms is a constitutional right, but there is
much controversy over whether or not gunpurchases should be regulated or even
banned. Gun control will leave many innocent American citizens defenseless and
unhappy.
Banning gun access will not eliminate crime. Criminals will just find another weapon
to use to complete the task. There are still cross bows, kitchen knives, and baseball
bats that could be used as replacements for firearms. Many even make their own
weapons

Reasons Why College Athletes Should Get Paid
There are many reasons why college athletes should get paid. Many people will
agree and disagree with the argument of should athletes get paid why or why not.
The main reasons may include finical help to pay for college to teach athletes how to
manage money and how to be wise with little money, not having enough money can
hold players back from finishing college, and finally the amount of money going into
the program should be shared with the athletes as they are the reason for the money
coming in. Going to college and being a student athleteis never easy and the ways to
help them is by paying them to help them get through school and succeed. To start
off, college athletes have literally no money as their goal is to go to college to
make it into the big leagues. Coming to college with no money makes it hard for
these athletes to go out and live life and have fun just like normal students do. Just
because they are athletes does not mean that they cannot go out and have fun also.
Many of the companies like ESPN pays BCS $500 million dollars. If these were
combined and people in the business of the money took $1.3 billion off the top they
could split it up with investing it, sheltering it, and possibly providing some with
college athletes and giving them an opportunity to go out and do something. On
