Similarities Between Krasner And Naim
The standard of the popular sovereignty implies, that the authority of a state is to govern itself or
another state. When thinking upon our current international political system we can see that it has
currently seen better days. According to Stephen Krasner and Moises Naim we can safely presume
that many actions need to be taken and a sense of Shared Sovereignty needs to be installed. This
would not only allow for the greater protection of certain states, but would also account for the
interaction of states on an allied level in order to crack down on the Five Wars of Globalization. With
the influx of a shared sovereignty according to Krasner and Naim it would create stronger borders and
allow for alliances with unlikely states. According to Stephen Krasner and his shared sovereignty
mentality it can be noted that many of the sovereignty rules do not apply due to, no truly autonomous,
internationally recognized well governed states. Stated in the article he points out three ... Show more

From discussion I have picked up many instance in which a shared sovereignty as described by
Krasner and Naim, would be worth a lot in current contemporary international politics. That being
said I feel as though the main issue that may arise in which would take top priority is currently our
nuclear situation. With the addition of a nuclear arms race according to the New York Times, it states
that we could potentially be reviving the Cold War. Having the knowledge that there could be WMD s
(weapons of mass destruction) currently underground near my home brings a sense of no security.
This feeling is derived from the current presidential debate. We have feuded the entire time and the
outlook is not shiny and nice; the silver lining is turning out to be rusted aluminum. We are attempting
to increase and update our international political views and policies, however everything takes

Why India Started Implementing Family Planning Practices
With a current population of 1.252 billion people, it s easy to tell why India started implementing
family planning practices. Overpopulation was starting to affect India when they gained independence
from England (Rubenstein, 2014). The Planning Commission was set up in 1950 to address all needs
of the country and to decide the best way to use resources. The decline in death rate and growth of
birth rate left the country no choice but to find a way to slow down the growth. This led to another
branch of the Planning Commission being created in 1952 with the implementation of the National
Family Planning Program in order to aide the country from such societal ills as hunger, poverty, and
national economic distress, which were all believed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whole of the country would have to adopt the idea of a smaller family as ideal in order for the
program to work. This led to an extension education approach which adopted to inform families of
contraceptive practices and to provide services to aide in these choices. Following the first plans
summary of what was needed to achieve the goals of the commission, the Second Five Year Plan
aimed to promote family planning to the population as a whole. The objective was the stabilization of
the population to replacement level. Free or subsidized family planning services were provided during
this period to further the objectives of the program. Clinics were enacted where family planning
services were established and sterilization procedures were to take place on a voluntary basis. The
Third Five Year Plan enacted many changes to the previous years. Voluntary sterilization was enacted
and efforts for family planning were intensified through widespread awareness (Koenig, 2013). The
emergency period from 1975 1977 led to legislation being passed to attack the problem of population
growth. It was made compulsory for families to stop childbearing after three children during

Iago Is The Protagonist In Othello
William Shakespeare s Othello is a remarkable tale of trust, deceitfulness, lust and the most
destructive of human emotions: vengeance and hatred. Iago better known as Othello s antagonist
embodies vengeance and hatred to move an agenda to squash all who oppose Iago s plans. As defined
by Merrium Webster the definition of a protagonist is a principal character in a literary work or a
leading actor, character, or participant in a literary work. Othello by Shakespeare is a play about
Othello an example of a tragic hero with all figures centered around Othello as the protagonist yet,
Othello has two main leading characters. Iago and Othello have stark contrasts as leading roles and

As a masterful leading machiavellian character Iago exploits the flaw all characters poses in Othello
which is faith versus doubt in others. A powerful role to mold an entire play behind the goal of a
singular entity under the eyes of a scholar qualifies as a protagonist( Hull). Iago breaks the boundaries
that define antagonist or protagonist by being complex enough and having enough lines that place him
on par if not above Othello (West 42 ). The main flaw in the protagonist argument is how Iago is a
static character without any clear transformation. Evidence from his lack of change exist in act one
and to the final act is continuously lying and trying to create chaos. Antagonist or protagonist Iago s
actions qualify as morally wrong when usually a protagonist that drives the plot is working for good;
however, by definition a protagonist is not inertly of good moral code. ( Hull) Iago has an interesting
set of flaws and advantages showing characteristics of a psychopath. Without flaws Iago would lose
his humane characteristics and potentially lose the audiences interest ( West 13). Iago has no positive
moral compass and an unexplained desire to destroy friend or foe even after the fact that Othello
murders Desdemona qualifies the character as psychotic. Iago even recognizes his planning of evil
actions to ruin Othello as simply a game Let us be conjunctive against him. If thou canst cuckold him,
thou dost thyself a pleasure, me a sport. (Act 1 Scene

Activity-Bottle Rocket
Activity Bottle Rocket
Discuss force acting on a 2L bottle rocket:
The bottle rocket is controlled entirely by forces and reactions. The bottle begins stable, held to the
ground by the forces of gravity. All of the forces are balanced resulting in the bottle remaining
motionless. The rocket will then build with pressure due to air being supplied by the air compressor.
This will build up force within the rocket and create potential energy. When the rocket launches there
is force pushing it up called thrust and two forces pushing down, gravity and air resistance.
Relate movement of your rocket to newtons 3 law:
Newton s first law of motion, states that anything that is in motion remains in motion until acted upon
by an outside force, for example gravity. Also anything at rest will remain at rest until acted upon by
an outside force. This means that anything that is moving will keep moving until you or something
else stops it and that anything lying still will remain still until you or something else makes it move.
Before we launched the rocket , it was just sitting on the pump. It didn t move until we pulled the ...

If you hit an object with force than it will accelerate, but if the object has too much mass then the
force cannot carry the object. The smaller the mass, the less force is needed to propel the object. The
more the mass, the more force is needed to propel the object. For our rocket, the force came from the
force of the compressor. The force carries the rocket and travels at an accelerated velocity. We put
500mls of water in the bottle. If we put too much water in the bottle, the mass would be too much for
the force, from the air pressure, to carry. If we put too little water in the bottle, then the force would
not be enough to propel the bottle to its maximum height. It was pretty hard to guess the right amount

Moral And Social Developments Of Children
The moral and social developments of children in their first years of life are critical. Children go
through many stages that influence their lives such as family, school, friends and technologic or the
media. During infancy, children learn from the people around them to recognize the good and bad in
this way begin to form their idea of morality. Researchers like as Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg
carefully studied moral reasoning of children and girls. Both agree that moral development progresses
slowly and is an orderly process that takes time. Piaget all its research center in the perception of
children as Kohlberg came to adulthood. According to the psychologist, in her book Ramona Rubio
Developmental Psychology (1992) states that for Piaget and Kohlberg s moral development is not
understood as a process of internalization of norms, otherwise acquisition of autonomous principles of
justice. Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg studied moral and reasoning carefully. These are some of
the Main principles de la theory of moral development, from Piaget and Kohlberg
Piaget Kohlberg
Morality means respect by social rules and it is founded on justice reciprocity and equality between
Individuals.
Piaget found stages in childhood:
a) Stage of morale and the obligation (children / as perceived all adults as superior, They think about
result and not about intentions) extends to the

Religion s Role In Failure To Address The Conflict Between...
INTRODUCTION
The Germany s dominating religion is Protestantism Christianity, in which Martin Luther famous for
his theologian philosophies came into picture and made the Protestantism spread greatly across the
Europe. Although there are more less split between the mainstream domination of Lutheran
Protestantism, Calvinism and Roman Catholic, but overall the Germany is being dominated by the
Protestantism Christianity. France Protestantism has a long history in its country. It produced one of
the major figures of the Reformation in John Calvin, and in the late 1590s it very nearly had a
Protestant king. The French Protestants, known as Huguenots, were very strong, at one point
controlling two hundred towns, mainly in southern France. Huguenot influence was waning and it was
evident that France would remain Catholic. This did not prevent the country from siding Protestant
powers during the Thirty Years War, but such alliances were purely political. As with other countries,
the French endured decades of religious warfare and slowly learned to keep matters of religion from
influencing too heavily matters of state. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Misrepresentation and Domination of Woman in Strindberg s Miss Julie This paper examines
misrepresentation and domination of women in August Strindberg s play Miss Julie. In this play
Strindberg presents his misogynist attitude by presenting Julie as a degenerated man hating half
woman that indicates he holds a firmly conservative position regarding the role of women in society
that makes one s superiority over another. Julie s free thinking and sexually aggressive behavior
positions her in the new women category that raises the feminist voice against patriarchy. And the fact
that these actions lead towards her destruction clearly indicates Strindberg s opposition to liberal
feminism. Despite of all rebellious activities of Julie she becomes the victim of male domination.
Feminism is a complaint against patriarchy that refuses the cultural definition of women which
attempts to fix women s identity within the male dominated canon. It breaks the social bondage of
patriarchy. Feminists believe that masculine and feminine roles are constructed by society. As
Simmone de Beauvoir states one is not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

But Jean denies and his cruelty reaches into its height when he chops that bird in chopping board

foreshadows Julie s disaster at the hand of Jean. She starts cursing herself and all the moments which
she spend with him and also curses that moment when she conceived in her mother s womb and says
he should also kill her like that innocent creature. She becomes helpless in front of him. She shows her
disgust for males in her statement: I d like to see the whole of your sex swimming like that in a sea of

Excessive release of this chemical leads to sleeplessness that affects normal human cycle. This
contributes immensely to regular and sustained burnouts due to sleep deprivation (Seib, Whiteside,
Humphrey, Lee, Thomas, Chopin, ... Anderson, 2014). Additionally, catecholamines affect the frontal
region of the brain, which is instrumental in short term and long term memories (King, Lloyd Holewa,
2008). This leads to poor memory and retention capacity. Acute stress tends to have a long term
mental health impact that affects multiple regions.
The second response mechanism towards stress is by the heart, circulatory system and the lungs (Seib
et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). Uncontrolled release of metabolic signals leads to poor digestion and
absorption of bear. As the concentration of bear increases, the heart beat increases to try and distribute
the concentration of bear to other parts of the body, which leads to an increase in blood pressure (Seib
et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). To country oxygen demand, the breathing system suddenly increases as the
lungs take in as much oxygen as they possibly can to satisfy its shortage in the blood stream (Wells,
2013). On the other hand, the spleen increases discharge of white and red blood cells to ensure that
more blood cells are available to transport excess oxygen throughout the circulatory system. Research

Yosemite Valley is full of stunning and breathtaking sights. However, millions of years of geologic
changes have occurred to make Yosemite Valley what it is today. Even from the initial formation of
California, Yosemite has been evolving. Each part of the geologic history of Yosemite plays a very
significant role, because even if one small thing did not occur, then the Yosemite that we know today
would not be familiar to us.
The beginning of Yosemite s geologic historic was about 500 million years ago. Back then, North
America lay near the equator and California was covered by a tropical sea. Rivers from North America

Summary Of The Mother And Woman Hollering Creek
Julia Alverez s The Mother and Sandra Cisneros s Woman Hollering Creek are fictional short stories
that explore various hardships of adult life and immigration. The stories have their individual
differences, but in the end they both argue that while trauma can crack people s foundations, with the
strength of will and love, people can endure. In The Mother, the narrator and her family have fled their
home country, the Dominican Republic, because of the country s dictatorship. The narrator, Laura,
describes those years as a series of disappearing friends, sleepless nights, house arrest and only after a
narrow escape did they escape from that world to America (2758). Their new worry is that
immigration will send them back to that traumatic life. The last bit of action in the short story is Laura
s meeting with the social worker, Sally O Brien. The main setting is America, and vignettes of Laura s
memories from her life in the Dominican Republic are distant memories. In Woman Hollering Creek,
the focus is on Cleófilas s wedding and marriage the stage of her trauma. Unlike The Mother, Woman
Hollering Escape shows the fear within the trauma and not what came after escape. Cleófilas describes
the new normal for the telenovelas she loved as a girl the same way she views her own life: with no
happy ending in sight (2777). The two short stories also differ in the types of threats and how the
protagonists dealt with them. Laura describes what the Dominican Republic

In Depth look at Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD, is a complex developmental disorder which is usually diagnosed
during the first 3 years of life. The disorder is characterized by severe difficulty or inability in
communicating, socializing, forming relationships with others, and responding appropriately to the
environment. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM IV,
ASD was one of the diagnosis covered under the Persuasive Developmental Disorders category. The
other diagnoses that were part of this category included Rett s Disorder, Childhood Disintegrative

Autism has become one of the fastest growing developmental disorder in the recent years. In the year
2000, the prevalence of ASD was 1 out of 150 school age children (Schaefer, 2016, pg***). According
to the latest data by the Center of Disease Control, or CDC, it is estimated that the incidence is now 1
in every 68 children that is diagnosed with autism in the United States. It is also estimated that autism
is approximately 4.5 times more common among boys (1 in 42) than among girls (1 in 189) (CDC,
2014).
Risks and Predisposing Factors
From the time autism was identified in the 1940s, several theories have tried to explain its etiology.
The earliest theories proposed as origin of autism was framed in the context of the early psychiatric
models in the 1940 s, and believed that autism was an acquired condition associated with children
raised by cold, emotionally distant mothers (Schaefer, ***). Another early hypothesis proposed as
being a risk for developing autistic disorder was the use of the measles mumps rubella vaccine or the
preservative thimerosal, but this hypothesis has been disproved (Anagnostou, Zwaigenbaum...., pg
510). It is now known that autism is a condition with a strong genetic basis, with more than 80%
heritability (Meng chang pg 903), but just like almost every medical condition known to man, it has
several genetic and environmental risk factors. As mentioned earlier, autistic disorder is 4.5 times
more common in males than females, which

Leading Indicators
The assigned readings for Unit 2 (Chapters 2, 3 and 6) cover the effects of workplace accidents,
accident theories, and workers compensation. In professional safety practice, the topics covered in this
unit generally include a discussion of safety metrics . Measuring safety performance is a mixed bag of
calculating and reviewing data associated with lagging indicators and leading indicators . By
definition, lagging indicators are output oriented, easy to measure and calculate, but not improvable
since they are measures of what already occurred (i.e., losses in the form of accidents, property
damage, or loss of life). In contrast, leading indicators are input oriented and represent preventative
measures taken to improve overall safety and reduce the occurrence of incidents and injuries.
Lagging indicators allude to the health of a company s safety program and performance in the form of
past accident and incident statistics, such as lost workers compensation costs, injury frequency, injury
severity, OSHA recordables, near misses, spills/releases or Experience Modification Rate (EMR). In
general, lagging indicators have been traditionally used to indicate trends toward better safety
compliance and adherence to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Abstract The present study was conducted to examine the ability of six promising indigenous isolates
of marine actinomycetes (NA 1, 2, 3, 4 and TA 1, 2) as probiotics in nature. The actinomycetes
isolated from these eco systemsare capable of producing antibiotics that strongly inhibit the growth of
gram positive and gramnegative bacteria. A total of 6 isolates representing the range ofmorphological
diversity observed from each sample were obtained in pure culture. However ofthe 6, two were found
to produce antibiotic substances. NA1 and TA1 exhibited higheractivity and, selected for further
studies. The purification and characterization of thesubstances is now in progress.

Sport Management As A Field
Descriptive Dimensions
In order to fully understand sport management as a field, one needs to look only as far back as the
1960s. While sport management was not defined until the mid 1980s, the history that has shaped the
look of sport management can be traced back to the Zeitgeist era of active lifestyles. In the 1960s,
there was a strong emphasis on science and scientific methods, unsurpassed technological advances,
and the renaissance in higher education (Paton, 1987). In combination with the desire for a more
active lifestyle and an emphasis on science, the field of sport and physical education was developed.
Dr. Earle Ziegler in the mid to end of the 1960s advised several students on analyzing administrative
writing, research, and programs (Paton, 1987). They found that physical education needed a new
approach to administration, an approach grounded in administrative theory (Ziegler Spaeth, 1975).
It has been stated that the first academic program in sport administration was established at Ohio
University in 1966 (Mason, Higgins, Owens, 1981). However there is evidence of a program at
Florida Southern University between 1949 and 1959. The program was approved by the State
Department of Education of Florida and was called Baseball Business Administration (Isaacs, 1964).
Sport Management as a field of study includes recreation administration, dance, leisure, sport tourism,
sociology, communication, marketing, finance, and law (Pitts, 2001). Relying on

Offer and acceptance There are six elements of an enforceable contract and we will discuss one of
them which is offer and acceptance. As we learned in the class offer and acceptance defined as a
proposal made by one party to another party that designates a disposition to enter into a contract and a
designation made by the offeree that he or she concurs to be bound by the terms of the offer . This
research, will discuss the requirement for a valid offer and acceptance, bid, advertising and public
offer and termination of an offer. Requirements for a valid offer The first requirement is definite and
certain which mean the offer must specify all the terms of the contract without leaving ambiguous
parts in it because if one of the competent parties misses an important part of the contract there will be
later disagreement. The second requirement is offer must be communicated to the offeree, an offeror
has a several ways to make the offeree know the contract it may include oral communication, written
communication, and also implied communication. For example, Ahmed entered the juices store when
he frequently purchased fresh mango juice. He takes the bottle of the juice and showed it to the owner

that the outside world is too dangerous. Brock was interested in going outside the dome as an effect of
reading ancient fictions and novels. This shows that Brock was totally different form his pod fellows.

It is said by the writer when Brock went outside the dome. The scanner told him that he felt alone. He
asked himself why didn t he take one of his pod fellows or a robopet with him, but he remembered
that his pod fellows thought he was a deviant. Moreover, he didn t like robopets. It shows the lack of

Spanish Futbol Essay
As human beings grow up we begin to develop interests in certain things. Hobbies are a big part of our
lives, it normally is a past time that allows us to unwind and relax, forget about our everyday
problems. It gives us something to enjoy doing. Hobbies can range from many different activities,
whether it is knitting, reading a book, surfing, running, shopping, painting and so forth. There are so
many different types of activities that one can do. These hobbies are usually done on a casual basis;
there is no obligation to do them. However one hobby that is not taken lightly is the love of Spanish
futbol. Now this is a hobby that is taken very seriously, we are talking about a sport that can be

Now when we talk about futbol there are so many different levels and divisions, the main level I plan
to focus on is La Liga, which is the highest division in Spanish futbol. The one that follows is La
Segunda Division¸but peoples main focus is La Primera Division because the best of the best play in
this division. As well this is where most of the fuel to the fire is, especially with the rivalry between
Real Madrid and Barcelona. The game becomes much more intense when these two teams are even
mentioned.
In order to grasp a full understanding of the phenomenon with Spanish futbol and La Liga we need to
have some back ground knowledge of how it came to be. A man by the name of Jose Maria Acha first
proposed the idea of Spain having a national futbol team. After much debate of how many teams there
were going to be in La Liga, they came to the agreement that there would be ten, and in 1929 the
Primera Division was established. La Primera Liga is like royalty in futbol, they are the best of the
best futbolistas, and not anyone can be a part of this division. The success of La Liga is all due to the
biggest rivals in soccer history, Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona who are basically the biggest and
most successful teams in La Primera Division. Both these teams were founding members and have
never been de ranked to Segunda Division. Due to the fact that these teams have been at war for over
eighty years shows us that the spirit of futbol has been

Karma Chameleon Analysis
The song, Karma Chameleon, by Culture Club was written by the band s lead singer, Boy George.
Karma Chameleon was released in 1983 and reached the top charts in Great Britain, and in 1984,
Culture Club won Best Single for the song at the Brit Awards. Through the song, Boy George
communicates the fear of alienation. At first listen, the meaning is uncertain in the lyrics, but it is clear
in the video. The video takes place in Mississippi in 1877 with dozens of people dressed in the garb of
that period. Although there are dozens of the 19th century citizens, there is one that stands out: Boy
George. The song is about the terrible fear of alienation that people have, the fear of standing up for
one thing. It s about trying to suck up to everybody [...], Boy George said in an interview with The
Billboard Book of #1 Hits. In the video, he is depicted as an anachronism with homemade clothing,

As a younger man, Boy George worked as a bagger for a grocery store. He had been dressing in his
usual garb for his whole life but was fired because he began wearing the bags. Because of his
extravagant look, he was fired for being himself. This fact gives much more insight into what Karma
Chameleon really means. As mentioned before, you string along has its own meaning in the video, but
it changes when the lyrics are analyzed. In society, the phrase outlines the act of keeping someone
waiting or in a state of uncertainty. These lines are directed towards the unknown character who

The Economics of the French and American Revolution Essay
The American and French Revolutions were profoundly motivated by economics. Prior to the
Revolution, British colonies in America were thriving. Colonists paid fairly few taxes and were
permitted to participate in domestic economic activity, granted they adhere to the Navigation Act, an
act requiring, that all trade within the empire be conducted on ships which were constructed, owned
and largely manned by British citizens. Certain enumerated goods whether exported or imported by
the colonies had to be shipped through England regardless of the final port of destination. (Baack) Its
mother country however, was not analogous. England s debt had nearly doubled due to their victory
over France during the 7 Year War and was frantically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Citizens were not permitted to vote as individuals. Instead one vote was given to each of the three
estates, the clergy (first), aristocrats (second), and everyone else excluded from the first two, who

Third Estate was outvoted and citizens within became furious. They, ...insisted that those who worked
[for low wages] and pay taxes were the nation... (Roberts et al. 646) Shortly afterward, the National
Assembly was born and was determined to take France s future into its own (Belloc, 93). The
Revolutions became very different throughout the courses of each. Britain, no doubt was in a better
position to fund the war. Firstly, Britain was an established country with a tax system that had proven
to produce revenue. Secondly, it could afford to generate more debt to fund the war. America however,
was only beginning to set up a government of its own. Although they had a Congress in place, the
Articles of Confederation didn t allow it to tax colonists and without income, it was difficult for
Congress to borrow money or replace what they were spending on the war. Despite this, Congress did
not receive any voluntary payments from the states. In fact, each state began producing their own
currencies to make up for the lack of money; so many different forms of currency were competing
with the true currency, the continental dollar. Britain

It is a notion of anything that is useless and superfluous in real life. However, it can be often

Love is the basis of our existence. It affects our every moment, dreams, and hope for the future. Love
has caused wars, ended lives, toppled governments and has been expounded on by poets, musicians,
philosophers, and literates throughout the centuries. Research from Syracuse University shows that it
takes about a fifth of a second to fall in love and it affects almost every part of our body. Our brain
releases dopamine, a natural chemical that gives us energy and optimism. Love is similar to a drug and

Types Of Workplace Conflict And The Styles Of Management
Abstract
This paper explores published information on types of workplace conflict and the styles of
management to address the conflict. Articles discussing how the particular style used can affect stress
in the workplace. Eight interviews were conducted in which subjects were asked to rate the amount of
stress they experience, the type of conflict that is experienced, and their preferred method of conflict
management. The data collected agrees with the published articles showing that the preferred method
of dealing with conflict does have an effect on the amount of stress that is experienced by individuals
in the workplace. Those favoring a compromising or collaborative approach experience the least

Literature Review
Conflict and the Effects
Conflict can be defined as a struggle between people with opposing needs, ideas, beliefs, values, or
goals (Understanding Conflict and Conflict Management). When conflict occurs in the workplace, it
can reduce moral, lower productivity, increase absenteeism, and can ultimately lead to serious or
violent crimes (Gatlin, Wysocki, Kepner, 2002). Studies show that managers spend at least 25% of
their time resolving workplace conflict (Gatlin, Wysocki, Kepner, 2002). Productivity of managers
and employees are affected by the amount of conflict they experience on a day to day basis. How
much people are affected by different conflicts can be dependent on their personal conflict style. Each
individual personality will handle a given situation in a different way.
Sources of Conflict The first step to addressing any conflict is defining what the actual conflict is. The
range of a conflict can be something very minor to a large conflict that affects an entire department or
the whole workplace. It is important to understand and be able to identify the different levels of
conflict and how they may manifest in order to manage people (Workplaces that Work). Conflict is a
predictable part of human relationships and will occur in every workplace (Workplaces that Work).
The most basic of conflicts in the workplace is having conflicting needs (Gatlin, Wysocki, Kepner,
2002). The conflict of needs is produced by

In the modern era of extended life car maintenance items like engine coolant and spark plugs we push
this painful service down the road.
However, it s on its way and you can bet on that. On some automobiles it s at the 100,000 mile mark
now. One thing is for sure, if you keep the vehicle long enough it will cost you more to maintain it. On
some vehicles this includes replacing the timing belt at a certain mileage. On other vehicles it s
replacing all the extended life fluids. Another thing to consider is spark plug replacement on some
automobiles became extremely difficult and therefore expensive. The face of regular maintenance has
changed, but you ll still find expensive preventative maintenance services on all automobiles.
Timing Belt Preventative Maintenance
When people are buying a new or used car they usually don t inquire about the timing belt situation.
Keep in mind, that not all vehicles have a timing belt. Some use a timing chain that doesn t require
any maintenance. I personally will not buy an automobile with a rubber timing belt. However, if you
buy a used car you want to find out if paperwork for a timing belt replacement exists.
Let s use a popular automobile as an example of this expensive preventative maintenance service. The
timing belt falls under preventative maintenance, because it s necessary to replace it even though there
s nothing wrong with it. Failure to do so

  • 2. Similarities Between Krasner And Naim The standard of the popular sovereignty implies, that the authority of a state is to govern itself or another state. When thinking upon our current international political system we can see that it has currently seen better days. According to Stephen Krasner and Moises Naim we can safely presume that many actions need to be taken and a sense of Shared Sovereignty needs to be installed. This would not only allow for the greater protection of certain states, but would also account for the interaction of states on an allied level in order to crack down on the Five Wars of Globalization. With the influx of a shared sovereignty according to Krasner and Naim it would create stronger borders and allow for alliances with unlikely states. According to Stephen Krasner and his shared sovereignty mentality it can be noted that many of the sovereignty rules do not apply due to, no truly autonomous, internationally recognized well governed states. Stated in the article he points out three ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From discussion I have picked up many instance in which a shared sovereignty as described by Krasner and Naim, would be worth a lot in current contemporary international politics. That being said I feel as though the main issue that may arise in which would take top priority is currently our nuclear situation. With the addition of a nuclear arms race according to the New York Times, it states that we could potentially be reviving the Cold War. Having the knowledge that there could be WMD s (weapons of mass destruction) currently underground near my home brings a sense of no security. This feeling is derived from the current presidential debate. We have feuded the entire time and the outlook is not shiny and nice; the silver lining is turning out to be rusted aluminum. We are attempting to increase and update our international political views and policies, however everything takes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Why India Started Implementing Family Planning Practices With a current population of 1.252 billion people, it s easy to tell why India started implementing family planning practices. Overpopulation was starting to affect India when they gained independence from England (Rubenstein, 2014). The Planning Commission was set up in 1950 to address all needs of the country and to decide the best way to use resources. The decline in death rate and growth of birth rate left the country no choice but to find a way to slow down the growth. This led to another branch of the Planning Commission being created in 1952 with the implementation of the National Family Planning Program in order to aide the country from such societal ills as hunger, poverty, and national economic distress, which were all believed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The whole of the country would have to adopt the idea of a smaller family as ideal in order for the program to work. This led to an extension education approach which adopted to inform families of contraceptive practices and to provide services to aide in these choices. Following the first plans summary of what was needed to achieve the goals of the commission, the Second Five Year Plan aimed to promote family planning to the population as a whole. The objective was the stabilization of the population to replacement level. Free or subsidized family planning services were provided during this period to further the objectives of the program. Clinics were enacted where family planning services were established and sterilization procedures were to take place on a voluntary basis. The Third Five Year Plan enacted many changes to the previous years. Voluntary sterilization was enacted and efforts for family planning were intensified through widespread awareness (Koenig, 2013). The emergency period from 1975 1977 led to legislation being passed to attack the problem of population growth. It was made compulsory for families to stop childbearing after three children during ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Iago Is The Protagonist In Othello William Shakespeare s Othello is a remarkable tale of trust, deceitfulness, lust and the most destructive of human emotions: vengeance and hatred. Iago better known as Othello s antagonist embodies vengeance and hatred to move an agenda to squash all who oppose Iago s plans. As defined by Merrium Webster the definition of a protagonist is a principal character in a literary work or a leading actor, character, or participant in a literary work. Othello by Shakespeare is a play about Othello an example of a tragic hero with all figures centered around Othello as the protagonist yet, Othello has two main leading characters. As a masterful leading machiavellian character Iago exploits the flaw all characters poses in Othello which is faith versus doubt in others. A powerful role to mold an entire play behind the goal of a singular entity under the eyes of a scholar qualifies as a protagonist( Hull). Iago breaks the boundaries that define antagonist or protagonist by being complex enough and having enough lines that place him on par if not above Othello (West 42 ). The main flaw in the protagonist argument is how Iago is a static character without any clear transformation. Evidence from his lack of change exist in act one and to the final act is continuously lying and trying to create chaos. Antagonist or protagonist Iago s actions qualify as morally wrong when usually a protagonist that drives the plot is working for good; however, by definition a protagonist is not inertly of good moral code. ( Hull) Iago has an interesting set of flaws and advantages showing characteristics of a psychopath. Without flaws Iago would lose his humane characteristics and potentially lose the audiences interest ( West 13). Iago has no positive moral compass and an unexplained desire to destroy friend or foe even after the fact that Othello murders Desdemona qualifies the character as psychotic. Iago even recognizes his planning of evil actions to ruin Othello as simply a game Let us be conjunctive against him. If thou canst cuckold him, thou dost thyself a pleasure, me a sport. • 6. Activity-Bottle Rocket Activity Bottle Rocket Discuss force acting on a 2L bottle rocket: The bottle rocket is controlled entirely by forces and reactions. The bottle begins stable, held to the ground by the forces of gravity. All of the forces are balanced resulting in the bottle remaining motionless. The rocket will then build with pressure due to air being supplied by the air compressor. This will build up force within the rocket and create potential energy. When the rocket launches there is force pushing it up called thrust and two forces pushing down, gravity and air resistance. Relate movement of your rocket to newtons 3 law: Newton s first law of motion, states that anything that is in motion remains in motion until acted upon by an outside force, for example gravity. Also anything at rest will remain at rest until acted upon by an outside force. This means that anything that is moving will keep moving until you or something else stops it and that anything lying still will remain still until you or something else makes it move. Before we launched the rocket , it was just sitting on the pump. It didn t move until we pulled the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you hit an object with force than it will accelerate, but if the object has too much mass then the force cannot carry the object. The force carries the rocket and travels at an accelerated velocity. We put 500mls of water in the bottle. If we put too much water in the bottle, the mass would be too much for the force, from the air pressure, to carry. Researchers like as Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg carefully studied moral reasoning of children and girls. Both agree that moral development progresses slowly and is an orderly process that takes time. Piaget all its research center in the perception of children as Kohlberg came to adulthood. According to the psychologist, in her book Ramona Rubio Developmental Psychology (1992) states that for Piaget and Kohlberg s moral development is not understood as a process of internalization of norms, otherwise acquisition of autonomous principles of justice. Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg studied moral and reasoning carefully. These are some of the Main principles de la theory of moral development, from Piaget and Kohlberg Piaget Kohlberg Morality means respect by social rules and it is founded on justice reciprocity and equality between Individuals. France Protestantism has a long history in its country. It produced one of the major figures of the Reformation in John Calvin, and in the late 1590s it very nearly had a Protestant king. The French Protestants, known as Huguenots, were very strong, at one point controlling two hundred towns, mainly in southern France. Huguenot influence was waning and it was evident that France would remain Catholic. This did not prevent the country from siding Protestant powers during the Thirty Years War, but such alliances were purely political. Asmita Pokhrel Sec: A Day shift Instructor: Jiblal Lamsal Eng: 551, Drama August 11, 2015 Misrepresentation and Domination of Woman in Strindberg s Miss Julie This paper examines misrepresentation and domination of women in August Strindberg s play Miss Julie. In this play Strindberg presents his misogynist attitude by presenting Julie as a degenerated man hating half woman that indicates he holds a firmly conservative position regarding the role of women in society that makes one s superiority over another. Julie s free thinking and sexually aggressive behavior positions her in the new women category that raises the feminist voice against patriarchy. And the fact that these actions lead towards her destruction clearly indicates Strindberg s opposition to liberal feminism. Despite of all rebellious activities of Julie she becomes the victim of male domination. Feminism is a complaint against patriarchy that refuses the cultural definition of women which attempts to fix women s identity within the male dominated canon. It breaks the social bondage of patriarchy. Feminists believe that masculine and feminine roles are constructed by society. As Simmone de Beauvoir states one is not ... Additionally, catecholamines affect the frontal region of the brain, which is instrumental in short term and long term memories (King, Lloyd Holewa, 2008). This leads to poor memory and retention capacity. Acute stress tends to have a long term mental health impact that affects multiple regions. The second response mechanism towards stress is by the heart, circulatory system and the lungs (Seib et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). Uncontrolled release of metabolic signals leads to poor digestion and absorption of bear. As the concentration of bear increases, the heart beat increases to try and distribute the concentration of bear to other parts of the body, which leads to an increase in blood pressure (Seib et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). To country oxygen demand, the breathing system suddenly increases as the lungs take in as much oxygen as they possibly can to satisfy its shortage in the blood stream (Wells, 2013). • 13. Summary Of The Mother And Woman Hollering Creek Julia Alverez s The Mother and Sandra Cisneros s Woman Hollering Creek are fictional short stories that explore various hardships of adult life and immigration. The stories have their individual differences, but in the end they both argue that while trauma can crack people s foundations, with the strength of will and love, people can endure. In The Mother, the narrator and her family have fled their home country, the Dominican Republic, because of the country s dictatorship. The narrator, Laura, describes those years as a series of disappearing friends, sleepless nights, house arrest and only after a narrow escape did they escape from that world to America (2758). Their new worry is that immigration will send them back to that traumatic life. The last bit of action in the short story is Laura s meeting with the social worker, Sally O Brien. The main setting is America, and vignettes of Laura s memories from her life in the Dominican Republic are distant memories. In Woman Hollering Creek, the focus is on Cleófilas s wedding and marriage the stage of her trauma. Unlike The Mother, Woman Hollering Escape shows the fear within the trauma and not what came after escape. Cleófilas describes the new normal for the telenovelas she loved as a girl the same way she views her own life: with no happy ending in sight (2777). The two short stories also differ in the types of threats and how the protagonists dealt with them. Laura describes what the Dominican Republic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Autism has become one of the fastest growing developmental disorder in the recent years. In the year 2000, the prevalence of ASD was 1 out of 150 school age children (Schaefer, 2016, pg***). According to the latest data by the Center of Disease Control, or CDC, it is estimated that the incidence is now 1 in every 68 children that is diagnosed with autism in the United States. It is also estimated that autism is approximately 4.5 times more common among boys (1 in 42) than among girls (1 in 189) (CDC, 2014). Risks and Predisposing Factors From the time autism was identified in the 1940s, several theories have tried to explain its etiology. The earliest theories proposed as origin of autism was framed in the context of the early psychiatric models in the 1940 s, and believed that autism was an acquired condition associated with children raised by cold, emotionally distant mothers (Schaefer, ***). Another early hypothesis proposed as being a risk for developing autistic disorder was the use of the measles mumps rubella vaccine or the preservative thimerosal, but this hypothesis has been disproved (Anagnostou, Zwaigenbaum...., pg 510). It is now known that autism is a condition with a strong genetic basis, with more than 80% heritability (Meng chang pg 903), but just like almost every medical condition known to man, it has several genetic and environmental risk factors. In professional safety practice, the topics covered in this unit generally include a discussion of safety metrics . Measuring safety performance is a mixed bag of calculating and reviewing data associated with lagging indicators and leading indicators . By definition, lagging indicators are output oriented, easy to measure and calculate, but not improvable since they are measures of what already occurred (i.e., losses in the form of accidents, property damage, or loss of life). In contrast, leading indicators are input oriented and represent preventative measures taken to improve overall safety and reduce the occurrence of incidents and injuries. Lagging indicators allude to the health of a company s safety program and performance in the form of past accident and incident statistics, such as lost workers compensation costs, injury frequency, injury severity, OSHA recordables, near misses, spills/releases or Experience Modification Rate (EMR). While sport management was not defined until the mid 1980s, the history that has shaped the look of sport management can be traced back to the Zeitgeist era of active lifestyles. In the 1960s, there was a strong emphasis on science and scientific methods, unsurpassed technological advances, and the renaissance in higher education (Paton, 1987). In combination with the desire for a more active lifestyle and an emphasis on science, the field of sport and physical education was developed. Dr. Earle Ziegler in the mid to end of the 1960s advised several students on analyzing administrative writing, research, and programs (Paton, 1987). They found that physical education needed a new approach to administration, an approach grounded in administrative theory (Ziegler Spaeth, 1975). It has been stated that the first academic program in sport administration was established at Ohio University in 1966 (Mason, Higgins, Owens, 1981). However there is evidence of a program at Florida Southern University between 1949 and 1959. The program was approved by the State Department of Education of Florida and was called Baseball Business Administration (Isaacs, 1964). Sport Management as a field of study includes recreation administration, dance, leisure, sport tourism, sociology, communication, marketing, finance, and law (Pitts, 2001). Relying on ...
