2. In The Time Of The Butterflies Courage Essay
In The Time of the Butterflies is a book based on the lives of the Mirabal sisters who took
enormous amounts of courage to challenge the corrupt government of the Dominican Republic
during the mid 1900 s. Trujillo is the tyrannical dictator, who with the help of his ruthless secret
police, rules the country with an iron grip. Not only did he terrorize and kill thousands of innocents,
he also personally brutalized and attacked young women against their will. Despite the horrors that
Trujillo put these people through, an underground rebellion was formed with the Mirabal sisters
playing a crucial role. A role that would require immense courage, but where would this courage
come from?

But though she doesn t know it, she will come to show bravery in a different way later on. Until
then however she doubts herself and is weary, But without a plan Dede s courage unraveled like
a row of stitches not finished with a good, sturdy knot. (Alvarez, 168) This means that Dede has
courage but is unable to keep it for long. This also means that her courage is unpredictable, at
one point it may be strong, but then the slightest thing is enough to topple it. Later in the book
however, she fights it, Dede could not run away. Courage! It was the first time she had used that
word to herself and understood exactly what it meant. (Alvarez, 441) Dede triumphantly thinks
this to herself after she contemplates letting go of her sanity, before the SIM destroyed all that
she loved. This is one of Dede s few moments where she sticks up for herself (even if she s only
warring with her own mind), but this still isn t the main way she shows courage. The focal point
of how Dede exhibits bravery is enduring life alone after her sisters deaths, and carrying on to

Introduction
The need for cheap and efficient means of travel coupled with the development of motor vehicles
has seen a rapid growth in the automotive industry. The automotive industry encompasses all the
companies and activities involved in the manufacture of motor vehicles, including most
components, such as engines and bodies (Encyclopædia Britannica, 2014). Even though much of
the manufacturing nowadays is done by robots, computers and machines, the strongest and most
luxurious vehicles are still considered to be the ones that have had the most human involvement
and effort applied on them. This makes simple tools such as the cordless hand drill necessitous in
the entire process because of their wide range of uses and applications which will be further
discussed in this report. Hand drills today, are used in almost every industry that involves
assembling individual components to make a complete structure however, this report will focus on
the design of a cordless hand drill specifically for the automotive industry.

4. The Theory Of Evolution And Adaptation
There are three major refutations against the design argument, first she designs argument is faulted
for its weak analogy between the natural objects and the objects that that is known to have a creator
such as buildings. This is the equivalent of comparing apples to oranges. For the second refutation
the design argumentclaims that everything has a perfect design, this simply isn t the case. For
example, we can examine the issues of starvation within the United States, although the world is
structured to perfectly provide food for humans, there still people starving because of imperfect
circumstances such as the inability to transport food to those who can`t receive it themselves
(Tombs 7). The strongest and most accepted argument against the design argument is the theory of
evolution and adaptation. Those who support the theory of evolution and adaptation credits the
perfect design of the aspects to those two concepts. Artic Fish are an example of this adaption, they
have developed a protein in their blood that prevent their blood from freezing which allows them
continue their metabolic functions (Lloyd 2). The finally argument against the design theory states
that even if the premise of the argument is true, its doesn t necessarily confirm the existenceof God.
The third argument of the existence of Godis the ontological argument. Unlike the cosmological and
the design arguments the ontological argument does not attempt to seek evidence with in our
physical

William Martin Joel, who s known by his stage name as Billy Joel, the piano man, is a composer,

influenced by many elements from his upbringing in the New York suburbs to small town culture to
world events. Throughout his musicstyle, the melodies are unpretentious and are telling the stories
of the working class of America. Joel speaks about the struggles that the American people have in
songs like Allentown and about the culture in the suburban with the song, Only the Good Die

6. The Moral Responsibility Of Free Will Essay
There is little doubt that free will is seen as hugely important to western philosophy. In particular,
it has been suggested that it s absence may have ramifications for the existence of moral
responsibility, henceforth MR . I will be arguing that ultimate responsibility is the only sufficient
condition forMR and that Baker s reflective endorsement argument fails to encapsulate all
scenarios in which we have MR. In addition, I will argue that belief in moral responsibility isn t
necessary to treat people as moral beings. Unless specified otherwise, when I say free will, I will be
referring to libertarian free will. By moral responsibility, I mean the ubiquitous phenomena whereby
someone s evaluative judgements and actions make them answerable for an event or outcome and
liable for certain consequences. Included in this definition is the idea that an agent can be absolved
of responsibility if they have a morally relevant justification
I will be focusing on two accounts of sufficient conditions. The first being Pereboom s account of
MR as ultimate responsibility and the second being Baker s reflective endorsement view. Pereboom
suggests that an agent is morally responsible for an outcome if and only if that agent was the
ultimate cause of that outcome. I would word this condition in the following way: to be
responsible, the agent must have willingly causally contributed to an occurrence where the agent is
personally responsible for both the event and their own mental state

Firstly, Krishna was born in jail where his mom Devaki and his dad Vasudeva was put into jail

worshiped as the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu. Every sibling of Krishna was killed by Kamsa,
but Krishna survived from being killed. He was the reincarnation of Vishnu, Vishnu appeared
before Devaki and Vasudeva and told them he would return to earth by being born as their child
and will rescue them.
The rightful king of Mathura Ugrasen had been deposed by Kamsa. After Krishna was born the
father found himself freed from prison and fled to a safe house. Krishna removed any obstacles
that appeared before them on the way to the safe house. His foster parents Nanda and Yasoda took

I am writing this journal with the goal of recounting my travels to different philosophical societies.
Remarkably, each one of the three societies I was privileged enough to travel to r igidly followed a
renowned philosophy. These were the philosophies of Plato, Soren Kierkegaard, and Friedrich
Nietzsche.
The Republic
The first society I visited was that of Plato
s philosophy. The residents were very kind and sought out true meanings of different vi rtues solely
by dialectic. They structured their city much the same way that
Plato structured the renowned
Republic
. Plato said that a just city would involve each man doing his own work, or specializing in a certain
task. The cobbler would be a cobbler, the builder would be a builder, the farmer a farmer, and so on
an d so forth. Each of these focused on his work and in such a way maximized outpu t, as is
logical. The army protecting that city stood as a c ourageous wall around it, ready to defend it
whenever necessary. The soldiers
training was intense, focusing not only on physical exercise but also on the arts. By being brought
up with training both in the arts and in physical exercise,
Plato believed t hese soldiers would be both courageous and wise. Indeed, they were. The city was
very confident in its guardians, knowing full well that should war be declared, it would be re

looking at multinational corporations. Next, the paper will analyze the strengthens and weakness
on multinational corporations and its affect on workers. Lastly, the paper will give a personal
evaluation on whether the author (s) are convincing or if they are missing certain information.
Multinational corporations occupy a prominent role in the global economy. In the beginning, they
emerged as significant and enduring components in the international economy in the nineteenth
century. Great Britain was considered one of the largest capital exporting country during that
century. By the year 2008, the number of these corporations was eleven times the number in
operation in the early 1980s. Ultimately, the number of MNCs continue to grow within the world s
economy. The decision that these firms make are based on global strategies for corporate success.
They are not focused on the conditions within any of these countries in which these firms conduct
their business in. Multinational corporations work simultaneously in national political systems and
global market. Multinational corporations can place multiple production facilities in multiple

Otariid Rearing Behavior
In all otariid species, the male ignores young pups. There is no parental care. Often, the males are
even overly aggressive towards young pups. After parturition, the mother immediately smells the
newborn and vocalizes. The pup can vocalize within minutes of birth. Through these actions, a
mother pup bond is formed. They can then recognize each other and reestablish connections based
on smell and vocalizations (textbook). It is thought that hearing is the more efficient so that
vocalizations are better at distinguishing between individuals (3). This is beneficial in reuniting
pup and mother after she returns from her foraging trip. The female will attack females at risk of
endangering their pup. They will move the pup out of harms way if necessary by way of mouth
(3). Pups are rejected by non maternal females (4). Pups often aggregate with other pups in the
same age group normally in areas away disturbances. Pups receive no instruction in feeding and
swimming from the mother. They learn from their social ties with other pups (3).

Voter ID Laws Fraud or Fraud Prevention?
Voter ID Laws, now present in some form or another in thirty states, require individuals to show
government issued identification in order to cast a ballot on Election Day. The debate over the
need for such laws has never been more important. Voter ID laws were brought to the forefront of
American politics in the most recent presidential election as a result of President Elect Donald
Trump s insistence that the election process in America is riddled with wide spread voter fraud.
His claims of a rigged election were printed, broadcast, and proliferated through social media for
the majority of his campaign. Such claims, if factual, should certainly be immediately rectified.
The United States is built on the integrity of its election process and maintaining that integrity is
paramount. The issue at hand is: Are these claims of widespread voter fraud fact or fiction? The
key driver in the debate over Voter ID laws is whether or not such laws are intended to prevent
voter fraud or whether the laws themselves are a form of government endorsed fraud intended to
suppress the vote of specific populations. The fact remains that neither the President Elect nor the
states implementing Voter ID laws have been able to produce evidence of election rigging or
widespread voter fraud. As such, without evidence of the need for the supposed protection from
fraud that these laws are intended to provide, we can only conclude that such laws are not

Honesty is regarded as a virtue, especially in relationships, where both individuals are expected to

destroys the relationship. Yet in Americanah, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie destabilizes our notion
that lies are inherently negative by using a lie to ground a seemingly easygoing relationship
between Obinze, the male protagonist, and his mother. Obinze and his mother have the perfect

When Obinze puts his mother s lie in context, he realizes that she [had] lied for him as he had a
better chance of achieving his dream to go to America from England than from Nigeria (290).
From this, Obinze begins to comprehend the unspoken words in his relationship with his mother,
how she loved him enough to willingly sacrifice her own integrity just to help him. Struck with
this newfound perspective and emotional regret, once he returned to Nigeria, he spent a lot of time
with her, determined to make amends (291). This rough patch between Obinze and his mother not
only brings the two closer together, but also grounds their relationship in reality, as no good
relationship is perfect. Even after his mother s death, Obinze confesses how he sometimes forgot
she had died and would make cursory plans about flying to the east to see her (458). This
demonstrates the integral role his relationship with his mother played in his life, and how their
relationship most likely recovered, and even strengthened, after the lie. After all, it seems that even
death was not strong enough to break apart their

Influenza A viruses, members of Ortomyxoviridae family, are capable of infecting a large variety
of animals as well as humans. Hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) are the most abundant
proteins on the viral surface. Thus far eighteen different HAs (H1 to H18) and eleven NAs (N1 to
N11) have been distinguished serologically and are currently used for nomenclature of subtypes.
Due to segmented genome, zoonotic nature and appearance of continuous mutation resulting in
genome replication by the high error rate RNA polymerase, Influenza A viruses are able to
increase or change their epidemic or pandemic feature. This rapid evolution in Influenza genome
raises the need of updating vaccineformulations annually to include new viral antigens... Show more

This homotetramer protein with 97 amino acids in each monomer comprises a short region in N
terminal ecto domain, a transmembrane domain and a long protein molecule which have ion
channel activity and regulate vesicular and cytoplasmic pH within the virus infected cells [32,
33]. M2 ecto domain which is known as M2e, include 24 amino acids from N terminal which
remained highly conserved. Moreover, another region of the N terminal which includes 2 to 9
amino acids that is famous as SLLTEVET epitope is conserved among all influenza A subtypes.
Considering the existence of such conserved epitopes in M2, this region seems to be a
reasonable choice for designing the universal vaccine [34]. Nevertheless, the point is that M2e
conserved region is not large enough to trigger immune response alone. This problem has been
solved by fusing different types of molecular adjuvants like HBc, ASP 1, CTA1 DD and bacterial

The corrective measure is to identify the distortion and adjust accordingly with the objective to

Bhubaneswar dasbrahmananda1972@gmail.com Abstract: This paper investigates the dynamic
performance of three phase induction motor by vector control method. The vector control
algorithm is calculated on Motorola DSP56F80X. The block diagram is shown in figure which
describes the structure of implement vector control algorithm. The result obtained is verified
using matlab simulation. Initially speed reference is set at120 radian/s and torque taken as 0 nm.
Then motor is run, speed, torque and current wave form is taken. Now speed reference changes
to 160 radian/s and torque changes to 200nm and correspondence wave form is shown. I
observed that it run smoothly over the full speed range, generate full torque at zero speed, and
have high dynamic performance including fast acceleration and deceleration. It was originally
developed for high performance motor application for industrial drives. However, it is becoming
increasingly attractive for lower performance applications as well due to FOC s motor size, cost
and power consumption reduction superiority. .. In vector control method machine is control in a

On the other hand, Daisy Buchanan, the epitome of the aristocratic social class, was born into
the glory and prosperity that people wish to achieve in their dreams, and thus represents the
passion the Old Money class lacks by never having to chase an American Dream. In comparison
to Myrtle s vitality, Daisy is deficient in her devotions to strive towards a particular dream. After
marrying Tom, the values of the Old Money aristocracy led her to believe that there was nothing
else she could achieve because she had already fulfilled her role in society. Daisy s voice, her

The nouveau riche class as a whole is characterized by Fitzgerald as moths among the
whisperings and the stars (39) in the way that the people are drawn toward things that tend to kill
them. Their determination for upward social mobility has led them to fulfill their American
Dream, but only to the extent of established wealth. A rebellion against aristocratic social conduct
leads to criticism and intolerance from the aristocratic community, leading to an unfulfilled
destiny of true social mobility. Although some of the nouveau riche class accept this distinction
from the aristocracy, Gatsby s dream and passion is nevertheless unfaltered by their judgments.
As he grew up in poverty, James Gatz s innocence and enthusiasm in his dream of social mobility
rapidly evolved into a desperate obsession with the aristocracy. His Platonic conception of himself
manifested in the ideal man of Jay Gatsby that only exists in the mind of James Gatz. Gatsby s
imagination led him to believe that his American Dream was a promise that the rock of the world

burdens of reality, can ever outweigh Gatsby s strength and passion for his American Dream.

In April of 1865, Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States, was assassinated
at Ford s Theater in Washington, DC. His assassin was John Wilkes Booth, who was a very
famous actor at the time. Less than two weeks after he committed the horrible deed, Booth was
cornered by the Sixteenth New York Cavalry in a tobacco barn in Virginia. John Wilkes Booth
refused to surrender, so the forces responded by setting the barn ablaze. Although the Cavalry
wanted to keep Booth alive, Sergeant Boston Corbett defied orders and shot Booth in the neck.
The gunshot proved to be fatal and Booth died a few hours later. The body of Booth was identified

the back of a wagon. Booth carried papers with him at all times that identified him as the assassin
of Lincoln, although they were very risky and could cause his demise. One day, during his escape
in the wagon, Booth was informed that the soldiers were approaching. As he fled the wagon, he
dropped his papers. When he was back in safety, John Wilkes Booth sent a messenger to go and
retrieve the lost papers. While the messenger was searching for the papers, another person informed
Booth that soldiers were once again approaching. Booth had to retreat from his hideout once more
and therefore could not wait for the messenger to return with his papers. While Booth was

since the papers seemed to legitimately identify their holder as the infamous John Wilkes Booth.
Thus, his unfortunate messenger was the recipient of the fatal gunshot, not Booth himself.

ADHD. In addition, behavior modification is also recommended by the American Academy of
Pediatrics (American Academy of Pediatrics 2011). Behavior therapy lacks the harsh physical

can prove to be quite a challenge. There is no standard or baseline effective dose of behavior
modification. Furthermore, it can vary significantly from child to child. Behavior modification
referred to in most studies, includes some system of rating to determine if a child s ADHD
symptoms improve after therapy. Researchers utilize techniques such as daily report cards,
reward cost or points system, and feedback to analyze and monitor the child s behavior. Different
levels of intensity were implemented in some studies such as Fabiano, Pelham, Gnagy,
MacLean, Coles, Chacko, Robb et al., (2007) High Behavior Modification (HBM) included a
point system and daily report cards. Teachers, counselors, or other administrators provided
feedback such as corrections on assignments and explanations when a rule was violated. Low
Behavior Modification (LBM) provided less intervention, but included feedback without the loss
or gain of points. Participants also received less praise and rewards. In the No Behavior

many places now offer custom printed items, a person can have an apparel item they love at less
than what they may imagine.
Printed hoodies remain a great way to stay warm when the weather turns cool. Why settle for a
plain hoodie, however, when a person can have one that truly reflects their interests and
personalities? Anyone can buy a hoodie with a brand name, but only a limited number of
individuals will benefit from wearing one with their school name or a club logo on it. This is a

items will benefit the organization hosting the drive. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

On account of lockers being the school s property it is legal for them to search them at any time
under the right circumstances.
With the use of proper search and seizure guidelines, schools are allowed to search students
lockers without a warrant. Lockers and backpacks are subject to search with reasonable suspicion.
To search a locker, a school staff member or policeofficer would have to have reasonable
suspicion, probable cause, and student consent in some cases (Ehlenberger). For reasonable
suspicion to occur, the search would be justified at its inception, meaning that there are reasonable
grounds for suspecting that the search will reveal evidence that the student has violated or is
violating the law or school rules, and the search is reasonably related in scope to the circumstances
that justified the search, meaning that the measures used to conduct the search are reasonably
related to the objectives of the search and that the search is not excessively intrusive in light of the
student s age and sex and the nature of the offense (Ehlenberger). Probable cause to search is when
known facts and circumstances are sufficient to warrant a man of reasonable prudence in the belief
that contraband will be found (Ornelas v. United States, 1996, at 696)

Japan is an East Asian Island country with a distinct cultural identity. Samurai values, kimono
clothing, Noh Theater, woodblock art, and sumo wrestling are among the many instantly

of feudal rule and has benefited from the country s geographic isolation.
Japan put in place a policy of national seclusion for hundreds of years until the 1850s, but it
succumbed to an imperialist power by the end of the 19th century. The culture of Japan was spread
internationally through occupation in military campaigns before World War II. Japan then

the last part of the 20th century (Encyclopedia Britannica Online, Japan, 2011).

34. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Deficit Spending
Deficit Spending and the Crowding Out Effect
Andrew L. Petereck
American Public University System
Abstract
Deficit spending applies to businesses, governments, and individuals alike. In relation to
governments, deficit spending refers to spending more money than taking in over a given period
(Investopedia, n.d.). Some Keynesian economists argue that deficits are a necessary evil needed to
stimulate an economy. In theory, the deficitspending fills a gap in consumer spending during a
recession by increasing government purchases to balance out the aggregate demand and stabilize
the unemployment rate (Investopedia, n.d.). However, the downsides to deficit spending include
possibly lowering GDP and increasing debt. Lastly, crowding out is known as the process where
high government spending takes opportunities away from private sectors, hence the name crowding
out (Investopedia, n.d.). This paper will explain some of the advantages and disadvantages to
deficit spending while reviewing some of the effects of crowding out in an economy. Keywords:

Deficit Spending and the Crowding Out Effect The debate over the effectiveness of deficit

introduced a CO2 Act, which planned to reduce their carbon emissions by ten percent by the year
2010. They were slightly successful, however compared to the United States, their carbon emissions
are unsubstantial. Switzerland also implemented a Nuclear Phase out plan which would completely
stop the use of nuclear energy by the year 2034. Since Switzerland uses nuclear energy for 40
percent of their energy, this plan would be effective by increasing energy efficiency in other
renewable energy sources. Finally, Switzerland promotes energy efficiency through their Swiss

This gives them prejudiced views and means they judge each other on their religion. This comes
from generations of dislike which over the years has been distorted into hate. Protestants believe
that Rome, the Pope and the whole of the Catholic Church have a huge say in the running of Eire.
Catholics however deny this and say that although many Catholics will live their life around the
Church and the beliefs of the Catholic Church, the British government allow the Church of England
a much greater say in the running of the country.
Stemming from this lack of knowledge about each other s religion is the problem that
Protestants believe Catholics have no personal freedom. The Catholic Church does not allow

dualism states that there are two types of entities in the world; those which have extension and
measurable qualities such as the body and existing separately is the non physical mind. To
support his claim of dualism, Descartes presents a number of arguments that attempt to prove
that the mind is separate from his body. Two of his strongest points are from the conceivability
argument and divisibility argument. Further reinforcement of his claims comes from the idea of
privileged first person access, where he concludes that only an individual has full access to his
own thoughts and state of mind. Descartes conceivability argument follows as such (Descartes
Meditation 6): 1)I can conceive of my existence without my body. 2)If I can conceive of this
possibility then it is logically possible. 3)If it is logically possible that my mind exist independent
of my body, then my body and mind are distinct things. While on the surface this may appear to be
a very sound argument, some flaws arise upon further inspection. One of the main objections stems
from his first premise, primarily from the word

42. Amber s Secret
Amber s Secret
Bio202
Amber is an 18 year old woman who has found she is feeling sick and unusual. She comes to find
out that she is pregnant and consults her doctor. Being concerned of her student status and what
her parents might think are her biggest fears. The fetus growing inside her is almost 11 weeks and
has her own story from the inside. Mentioning all of the growth that has occurred and the
development milestones she has reached, the fetus is concerned of her own well being. The doctor
offers Amber the options of abortion and adoption, and then the heart beat will be heard. It is
unclear what Amber s choice is in the end.

before she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
4. What are the hormonal and physical changes going on in Amber during her pregnancy? What is
keeping her from menstruating as normal?
Physiological changes occurring in Amber s body are happening in her gastrointestinal, urinary,
respiratory and cardiovascular system. She is feeling sick because of the increased hCG,
progesterone and estrogen levels. Her story is only until her 11th week of her pregnancy, but she
may feel many symptoms throughout the rest of her pregnancy if it is not aborted. Those
symptoms could be increased urination because the kidneys are disposing of fetal metabolic waste
as well as her own. Blood volume also rises to help accommodate the fetus needs (Marieb amp;
Hoehn 2013).
An over production of the hormone progesterone is created which stops the follicle stimulating
hormones (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Those are the hormones needed for an egg to be
released and travel down into the uterus for a menstruation cycle. If that does not occur, there is not
menstruation (Marieb amp; Hoehn 2013)
5. How does a pregnancy test work?
At home pregnancy tests can be purchased over the counter or a blood test can be performed at the
doctor s office. They both check for the human Chorionic Gonadotropin, hCG, hormone that is
produced during pregnancy. The home pregnancy test uses urine, and the doctor s office tests blood
(Women s Health 2006).
6. How can we account for Amber s symptoms?
It sounds like Amber is having

43. Biopsychosocial Model Of Addiction
The Final Common Pathway of Addiction Model (FCP of Addiction Model) is essentially an
eclectic group of models and theories that include the biopsychosocial model, which consists of the
biological, psychological, and social models of addiction. The FCP of Addiction Model
encompasses this model, but also includes the environmental and spiritual components of addiction.
In this instance, what the theory is referencing, as Final and Common is that addiction reaches an
in common, ultimate end of journey. The Pathway refers to the various paths traveled to reach the
same end to this journey. Individuals experience various triggers from multiple influences that
propel them down the path of addiction. Some may follow the same path, but with... Show more

Just as there are many pathways to addiction, there are many pathways to recovery. This means that
for some individuals a spiritual pathway for recovery could be very effective and appropriate.
Unfortunately, Western Culture has lost touch with the spiritual aspect of life. (Dolin, 2013)
This is why it is imperative that we include the spiritual component of the FCP of Addiction
Model. People need something to believe in. Drug use requires motivation. In regard to
spirituality, the motivation is to discover an awareness of self and one s identity. Without this
awareness, an individual is simply adrift in life without direction. The addict seeks to fill a void
that only God can fill. As clinicians, we have the unique opportunity to lead them to a path of
hope. In conclusion, this researcher supports the FCP of Addiction Model as it pertains to
addiction because it is inclusive of the components closest to a unifying model of addiction.
Within the framework of the FCP of Addiction Model lies the biopsychosocial model, but in
addition to this model we add environmental and spiritual factors. If we are indeed products of our
environment then we must consider environment when building a model of addiction. To this end,
we also must include spirituality because it represents the power within us to seek out and
determine who we are and who we want to be. When individuals lose sight of this

Hamlet: Seems Versus Is
Throughout the tragic play, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, there are a multitude of characters
who seem to act one way but, below the surface, are completely different than they are portrayed.
These characters hide behind their own disguise, masking their true identities. The motif Seems
Versus Is is brought to the reader s attention in Hamletbecause it shows that although people might
seem to be one way, they can be completely different on the inside. These disguises serve as
obstacles for Hamlet to overcome throughout the play.
Polonius, the chief counselor to the king, is a character who seems to be a loving, charismatic man
and father who only wants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Claudius also seems like a respectable king because he mourns the death of King Hamlet and
tells [the] whole kingdom to be contracted in one brow of woe (21). Although Claudius seems to
be a good king who is deeply saddened by the death of the late King Hamlet, he is actually a
horrible man who murdered King Hamlet in a way most foul,...strange and unnatural (57). He
took his crown and acted as if his death was an accident. Claudius makes it difficult for Hamlet to
uncover the truth behind his actions because he constantly acts like nothing is ever wrong. After
many different plots against Claudius, Hamlet prevails and the real Claudius is exposed. Claudius
played an important role in the play because he reinforced the motif Seems Versus Is and showed
the reader that although people can come across as honest and respectable, deep down they can
have an evil side.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are characters in Hamlet who have a more complex side to them
than one might assume. Hamlet sees them as good friends who have always been there for him,
such as after his father s death when they came to visit [him]; no other occasion (99). Although
they acted as good friends to Hamlet, in reality they were manipulative and deceitful. The two
characters had a darker side because they acted as Claudius and Gertrude s spies. Near the end of the
play, Claudius, Rosencrantz, and Guildenstern

45. Emotional Abuse In Australia
Emotional abuse is when a caregiver fails to support a child and supply them with the security and
love they need. Emotional abuse also establishes whether the child s relationship with the caregiver
and the environment they are in is troubled, intimidating or whether they cannot support the child s
healthy development. There are currently 16,093 children in Australia s society today that are
emotionally abused by caregivers and adults.
11,194 children and neglected and are negligently treated in their homes in today s society. Neglect

The Child Protection Legislation Amendment Bill 2013 was approved on 4 April 2014. This
legislation supplies an earlier intervention which keeps families together with support. It also
enables courts to possess new powers to order parents to undertake treatment or attend services to
deal with the issues putting their children at risk. These laws establish that the Department of
Family and Community Services must contemplate adoption for children where the court has
commanded that the child cannot return to its parents or family until the age of 18 which bestows
an option for permanency and stability where foster care too often cannot. The new laws are
created to give vulnerable children the best possible chance of a safe and stable home for

46. Trophic Interactions Of Animals Essay
2.Describe 2 trophic interactions of an organism from the area studied.
An example of a trophic interaction includes parasitism, which is a relationship that involves a
harmful organism living on another organism, and is presented by the galls ( plant tumours ) on
the Grey Mangrove. The formation of a gall is initiated when an insect feeds on a plant or dominates
the tissue of a plant and lays eggs there. The eggs will grow within the leaves, which they will
eventually devour. These abnormal growths of plant tissue are a response to irritation or harm of
the plant and it may slow down the photosynthesis process and may make the Grey Mangrove die.
Another example includes mutualism, where both species benefit from the relationship. Mutualism

4.Identify and describe in detail 2 adaptations of 1 named Australian mangrove animal. (E.g. mud

Sydney Mud whelks (Pyrazus ebeninus) are classified as Gastropods and are large snails with a
long, brown, spiral shell, which can be up to 9cms long, that feed on detritus and are found in loose
sandy/muddy flats such as around the mangroves in Minnamurra.
Adaptations of the Sydney mud whelk:
Mud whelks have a big muscular foot which is mandatory for holding their prey captive and also
enables them to move through and attach itself to surfaces and survive the mudflat sediment which
consists of sand, silt, mud and organic matter.
They have a strong, hard shell to protect them from predators, and their shell also does not allow
moisture to seep in. Its shell also reduces water loss from evaporation. Camouflage is also possible
due to their lightly coloured spiral

47. Cesar Freire s Pedagogy Of The Oppressed
Paulo Freire s Pedagogy of the Oppressed presents two distinct educational methods and asserts that
problem posing education, rather than the banking method, is what is necessary for humanity. This
particular excerpt of Pedagogy of the Oppressed encapsulates a vast scope of education. It begins
with an exposition, revealing what exactly banking method is, followed by the explanation of
problem posing education. Throughout the duration of the chapter, Freire passionately presents his
ideals about education through the scopes of these two educational styles. Pedagogy of the
Oppressed starts off with an explanation that the focus of his analysis is the relationship between
teachers and students. First, Freire believes that the majority of teachers today talk about reality as
if it were motionless, static, compartmentalized, and predictable (Paolo Freire). He uses lucidly
negative diction like hollow and alienating to describe the words these teachers speak, emphasizing
that this clearly isn t enough when it comes to educating students Freire goes on to call this
particular type of educating narrative education (Freire). Narrative education is where teachers act
as the omnipotent being. Students are merely taught everything as if it were objectively the same as
any other fact, and not taught the significance. Teachers do not learn anything from the students,
either. Narrative education is a one way street. An aspect of narrative education is the polarizing
idea of
