Housekeeping refers to the management of
duties and chores involved in the running of
a hotel, such as cleaning, cooking, hotel
maintenance, shopping and bill pay.
A housekeeper is a person employed to
manage a hotel, and the domestic staff.
HOUSE KEEPING
 The position of executive housekeeper is an
important one within any hotel establishment.
 The housekeeping department ensures that the
quality and cleanliness of every room is met or
exceeded prior to a hotel guest entering a room.
 They are also responsible for all of the laundry
operations within the hotel.
EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
He is the head of the housekeeping department and
has control over all the actions taking place under
the housekeeping department. He is responsible
for all the actions that are taken up by the other
staff members of the Housekeeping department.
DUTIES OF EXECUTIVE

 Plans the work for the housekeeping
department .
 Distributes assignments equally.
 Assigns regular duties and special duties
for housekeeping staff.
 Schedules employees and assigns extra
days off according to occupancy
forecast.
 Maintains a time log book of all
employees within the department.

 Prepare Annual Housekeeping Budget.

Store for linen, uniform and fixed assets.
