This document provides an introduction to the concept of heutagogy, which is a self-determined approach to learning where learners have autonomy over their learning path and process. Some key points: - Heutagogy takes a holistic approach to developing learner capabilities through personal experiences, with learning seen as a proactive process directed by learners. - The instructor facilitates learning by providing guidance and resources but relinquishes control of the learning path to the learner. Learners negotiate what and how they learn. - It is rooted in andragogy but takes learner autonomy and self-determination further. Emerging technologies like web 2.0 support this approach by enabling learner-generated content.

problem results into metacognition of learner’s own beliefs and actions
