The helmeted honeyeater is a small bird that lives in bushland areas of central Victoria. It eats invertebrates, nectar, lerps honeydew, and plant matter. It has feathers, a beak, and an internal skeleton. Helmeted honeyeaters lay eggs, fly, and become independent around 40 days after hatching, with their breeding season running from July to March. They are territorial and aggressive towards other birds.
