The Roloway monkey is critically endangered with an unknown population due to habitat loss and illegal hunting within its native tropical forests in West Africa. The Silky Sifaka lemur is threatened by hunting for food and habitat destruction through burning of forests for rice fields and logging of rosewood trees in Madagascar. The Cotton-top tamarin, with an estimated population of only 6,000, is critically endangered due to over 75% of habitat loss to deforestation in its native forests from Costa Rica to northwestern Colombia.
