Hamilton VCAL
Learning online in 2020
2020 is going to be a challenging year!
Things to remember:
• Everyone is in this situation together – you are not alone!
• We will get through this, eventually
• There are a lot of people to support you, even though you might not
be able to see them – Centrelink, Lifeline, Brophy, Reconnect and the
SWTAFE Wellbeing team (Bryan, Jazmine, Glenn and Lucy)
• You can still make the most of your learning this year, just in a
different way
• There are plenty of online tools that we can use to make online
learning effective, achievable and maybe even fun 
The Diving Board – Hamilton VCAL blog
• https://hamiltonvcal.edublogs.org/
• This site is where you can start your
learning each day. I will post your
daily tasks and links to resources
you might need.
• You can post here too! Create a
slideshow or video of your PDS or
WRS projects to share with each
other. Let me know and I can send
you an invitation to be a contributor.

• When we are doing a virtual class, I
will email the link via Google groups
and post the link to the meeting
room on the blog.
• We may use Zoom, Skype, WebEx or
Facetime, depending on ease of
access, recording capacity and
ability to save, store and watch
recordings.

• Edublogs have the ability to store
and share images, YouTube videos,
Slideshare presentations and a
variety of links to other sites.
• I have created five pages on the blog
for your different core subjects.

• From time to time, I might ask you
to jump from the blog to another
site for brainstorming, creating word
clouds, constructing mind maps or
going on virtual tours.
