Attribute reduction is a challenge in that is has a big eect on classification accuracy as the
classifier training time, complexity and running time increases as a number of attributes used
increases. Commonly attributes in a given data set are correlated, noisy and redundant. In this work,
a system for attribute reduction was proposed making use of п¬Ѓlter based attribute reduction using
the correlation based attribute reduction. The cuckoo search optimizer was used to search the
attribute space of attribute set with minimum correlation among selected attributes. By running the
cuckoo search for a predetermined ratio of iterations, the selected attribute sets are reevaluated
using a new п¬Ѓtness function based on wrapper based attribute reduction. The initial agents
/solutions for this second stage of optimization are guaranteed to have minor correlation and hence
are the candidate for further improvement towards the classification accuracy fitness function.
So, the cuckoo search completes the rest of optimization steps with the initial

Research Paper On Sandra Day O Connor
Kaylee Mackey 10/1/17 Liebrecht p. 5 Sandra Day O Connor I think that Sandra Day O Connor
was a big part of history and feminism. She is one of the biggest female figures ever. Without
her, a lot of women wouldn t have the inspiration to be as great as they can and do whatever they
want in life. She inspired so many people to get where they are. Sandra Day O Connor was the
first woman to join the supreme court. She was born in El Piso, Texas on March 26th, 1930.
She grew up in Arizona on the family s ranch and wrote a memoir about her childhood called
Lazy B: Growing up on a Cattle Ranch in the American SouthWest in 2002 when she was still
working for the Supreme court. When she was old enough to go to school, she moved in with
her grandmother in El Paso, where she was born, to go to a private school. She went to Stanford
University and was on the Stanford Law review then graduated, third in her class in 1950 with a
bachelor s degree in economics. She got her law degree two years later, in 1952. Sandra Day O
Connor obviously worked really hard to get where she got and she was very smart because she was
in near the top of her class at Stanford where everyone is very serious and competitive. She was
above most boys which proves that a girl can be just as smart as a boy. A long time ago women
weren t even allowed to go to school and here she is graduating at Stanford at the top of her class.
This shows people that girls can be just as smart or even smarter than men which I

A Mustard Seed As A Physician Assistant
A mustard seed. It may seem very small and unimportant, but it has big significance in my desire
to become a physician assistant. Mustard seeds have popped up all along my PA journey so far,
and they sum up the why of my dream career.
While shadowing physician assistants, I volunteered at The Mustard Seed Medical Missions, a
nonprofit organization that provides medical care to those with financial hardships. My first day
there I got to meet the staff who made it all happen the two women who worked the front desk
who answered phones and organized patient files, the nurse who manually took blood pressure and
did a review of why the patient was attending, the phlebotomist who took blood in even the smallest

I learned something new. The context of the story is someone asking Jesus to heal a boy that
was suffering from seizures and wanting to be cured. I couldn t help not to smile to myself
because, yet again, this verse inspired me. Several of my family members actually suffer from
seizure disorder, and I realize how each family member deals with day to day struggles differently
due to seizures. Medicine helps them live seizure free lives, and paying attention to rest, diet, and
stress (something we all have learned to do) helps keep them moving

Ethos Logos
THESIS: In Jonathan Edwards Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God vivid imagery is utilized
through ethos, logos, and pathos in an attemt to sway the acts of sinners to be morally correct.
Jonathan Edward, an American theolagian and central figure in the awakening during the 1800 s,
was mostly known for leadning the great awakning and his strong belief in hell: a very common
topic during his time. In his sermon sinners in the hands of an angry god, preached on July 8, 1741
in Enfield, Connecticut. Edward emphasizes gods power and how easy it is for god to drop you
in hell, so therfore you should do everyhting you can to get on his good side.
Sinners in the hands of an angry god is a sermon written by Jonathan Edwards, an American
theolagian. The sermon was preached during the periode of great awakening when it was a time of
religiouse revival. The Great Awakening was essentially a spiritual awakening of different religious
groups in thethirteen colonies of America in the 18th century. While before the people were more
static and somberin their approach to religion, when the Awakening began they started to be more
emotional, so they could feel a greater connection to God. After the Glorious Revolution of ... Show

Using pathos connects with the reader or listener emotionally, sometimes making them feel that
the speech is being directed to them personally. The use of ethos is critical because in order for
edwards audience to take him seriously, they must respect him and agree that he is worth
listening to. Finally, the use of logos in edwards preach is important because facts are needed in
order to make a valid position and point. Opinion is great, but the readers and listeners need to
know the facts in order to listen and agree to edward ethically and emotionally. Ethos, logos, and
pathos in edwards sermon are all equally important and all work

The Social Hierarchy Of The Algonquin Indians
The Algonquins were a Native American people who settled from Maine all along the east coast
down into Virginia. The Algonquin were very peaceful and docile people, when the pilgrims landed
at Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts they helped to teach them how to live off their new lands and
ultimately ensured the survival of Europeans in North America. Although there are smaller sub
sections of the Algonquin tribes, such as the Mohegans, the Pesquots, and the Narragansetts, they
were all united through a central language. The Algonquins lived in a very patriarchal society
where men ruled the homes and owned all the lands. Overall the Algonquins were the most

Mrs. Young- Personal Narrative Essay
Mrs. Young Personal Narrative
In my life, I have experienced many things. Some things in my life have been happy, some things
sad, and some things that I dare not mention. When I was in high school, I did not want to go to
college. All I wanted to do was to drink and drug myself to death. In one year, my life changed
more than all my other years combined because of one person s actions. I still do not know if she
realizes how much she helped me. Out of the many lessons that she taught me while she was my
teacher, one overshadows the others. I learned how to care about others and not always think about
myself first. This has been the most important life lesson that I have learned so far. This person

Time was not an issue to this woman; we would spend three days on one problem so that
everyone would understand it. She really took her time. She did not want us to learn the stuff

Young wanted the best for us. Not only was she a good person, but she had a way of getting
information down to our level where we could understand it. If it were not for her, I might be in
the gutter somewhere. Tabitha Young was not just a teacher; she was also one of my friends.
Now everyone knows that teachers in North Carolina do not make that high of a salary. This did
not matter to her; she would give anyone her last dollar if they needed it for any reason. None of
us truly understood how much this teacher cared about her students until one day. The day started
out as any normal day. All of the students were just sitting there chatting away with each other.
Then as our teacher walked in the door, we all noticed that something was wrong. She did not
have her usual angelic look about her. This look was of sadness. One individual asked her what
was wrong. She then proceeded to tell us what was wrong. A student she had been working with
had dropped out of school. She then started crying like no one else I have ever seen cry before.
She cried from the heart. We all knew that she was hurting. One of my fellow classmates got up

Recruitment Theory
In this task I am going to be defining the recruitment process and documentation components.
Recruitment is a process in which allows businesses to obtain selected qualified people to attend to
a job vacancy.
The recruitment process is the steps in order to successfully pick suitable employees that match the
specifications. There are typically seven steps included in the recruitment process to ensure the right
person is selected:

work at Level 1 to work their way up through the business. This scheme includes the planning of
objectives, skills required, competencies and behaviours necessary for existing colleagues to apply
for a bigger role . Tesco s recruitment process includes:
в—Џ Vacancies being advertised
в—Џ Screening of applicants CV s
в—Џ Successful candidates invited for interview
в—Џ Successful candidates then attend assessment centre
в—Џ Unsuccessful candidates sent letter
в—Џ Successful candidates invited to second interview

Tesco s documentation for the recruitment process is slightly different to typical documents as the
job description and person specification are combined. This means together the job description and
person specification help job applicants and postВholders know exactly what is expected of them.
Other documents include:

Nature Nurture Debate in Gender Development Essay
If a person displays masculine, feminine or androgynous behavior, then what determines this? The
two main arguments are either gender is innate or it has been learnt. These two different
perspectives represent a famous debate that occurs throughout psychology: the nature nurture
debate.
The nature side of the debate states that gender is biological. This would explain the strong
relationship between the person s sex and their gender. The theory is that because each sex shares
the same physiology and anatomy, they have many psychological traits in common too. In the
same way that genetics and hormones determine an individual s sex, they also determine whether a
person will behave in a more feminine or masculine way. Males are born ... Show more content on

How does nature explain those cases where a person does not adopt the gender role expected of
their sex even when there are no genetic abnormalities? In addition, if males and females are
naturally different, then how do we explain the finding that both sexes are becoming more similar
as gender roles become more androgynous? There is also a body of evidence to show that males
and females have different roles in different societies.
The nurture side of the argument states that gender is essentially a product of socialization. It is
dependent on environmental experiences. Family upbringing and society s expectations would
therefore play a key role in a person s gender. This would mean, of course that most boys learn to
behave in a masculine way and mot girls learn to behave in feminine ways.
The nurture argument can explain why some people adopt the gender role not expected of their
sex. In theory, a feminine boy would have had a set of experiences which have led him to
acquire a different gender role from most boys. If gender roles are nurtured, it also explains why
an individual s gender may change over time as anything that is learnt can be unlearnt and replaced
by a new set of behaviours.
The nurture argument can also explain cultural variations in gender related behavior. What
distinguishes one culture from another is the fact that they have their own set of beliefs, values and
norms. There is evidence that people s behavior is influenced by the standards

How Canada Remained Independent of Foreign Control but...
How successful Canada was on remaining independent of foreign control, whilst being a part of

Canada remained independent of foreign control a majority of the time, but at others it did give
in to the pressure put upon it. Canada also got to be a big part of the decision making because it
put itself out there, got recognized as a middle power and proved its worth.
Some of the ways Canada remained independent of foreign control are: When president Reagan s
administration had a project they were trying to get Canada involved in called the Strategic
Defence Initiative (SDI, but also referred to as Star Wars). This was a plan to arm satellites that
could destroy soviet missiles from space. Not many people ... Show more content on

When NORAD was put in place during 1985 many Canadians were angered because they felt it
threatened Canadian independence and since the soviet missiles would be intercepted and
destroyed over Canada, Canada would be the one facing damage and destruction, not the US, but
despite this, Canada has maintained its commitment to NORAD. Canada and Americas economies
are very alike, to this day.
In 1945 when the UN was officially founded, Canada argues to be made a middle power, meaning
they would get recognition for being capable of holding their own, and the contribution they made
during World War II. Canada is very well known for their participation in every UN peacekeeping
operation. Lester B. Pearson even won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1957. When Egypt nationalized the
Suez Canal, Britain, France and Israel made a secret pact to invade Egypt. Israel attacked Egypt
while Britain and France took over the Canal. The situation grew tense when many countries
denounced the invasion. Lester B. Pearson proposed to the UN that Britain, France and Israel
withdraw their troops and the UN send a peacekeeping army into Egypt. His proposal was
accepted. Canada also adapted a new flag, which in a way was to show they had completely
detached themselves from Britain. In 1949 Canada had signed the NATOtreaty. That was the first

Summary Execution at Temple Drive by Bam Alegre
Philippines, September 2016 Five months after the new administration launched its polarizing war
against drugs, various groups have raised serious concerns about the frequency and impunity of
extrajudicial killings in the country.
Even the death counts do not agree, with estimates ranging from one and a half to over three
thousand dead through the war, less than half of these due to vigilante killings or unknown
assailants. The legitimacy and protocol of police operations have been put into question due to the
seeming excess in number of operations escalating to shootouts or the alleged violations of human
rights in the apprehension of drug suspects.
Definitely, the proliferation of drug production and distribution in the Philippines poses severe
problems on the country s economy and sociopolitical stability. As a form of illicit trade, drug
trafficking is able to undermine state authority and the rule of law by fuelling corruption,
compromising elections, and hurting the legitimate economy.
However, given the current crisis of human rights violations amid the relentless thrust for the drug
war, what sentence would we expect to fall on drug suspects and are there ways in which the drug
war could instead be steered

are mainly identified with the id and the super ego type of personalities, and throughout the novel,
these characters are placed in intense situations which makes them question their own beliefs and

This part of our mind is responsible for our civilized behavior in the society, and our judgments
based on what our parents or our society has taught us to be good or bad. The superego is
essential to lead a civilized life, but also inhibiting excessive superego can be harmful as it is not
good to always hold back your needs or wishes. The id is the forbidden component of our psych.
It deals with our innermost wants and fantasies. It comprises of all our immediate and non
sensible wants, and mostly, one feels anxious or tensed if a person is ruled majorly by his id,
and his needs are not met at once. The id is the morally unacceptable part of our mind, and thus,
it isn t the part of our psych that we exhibit in public. In this story, the Europeans, who believe in

clutches of stringent societal rules, where their behavior is completely mechanized and controlled

The, By John Abel
Just as Steinbeck diverges from the usual interpretation of Charles and Caleb as Cain, he does
too in the cases of Adam and Aron as the biblical Abel. Abel is originally described as the good
one, the innocent and more likeable, after all it was his gift that God preferred over Cain s. This
is also the case of Adam s son Aron, that Aron is the preferred son over Caleb.
In the first generation of the Trasks, following the Abel Cain framework, Steinbeck had Adam as
the Abel figure. Because there is only little information about Abel s personality in the Biblical
story from Genesis, people make their own assumptions of Abel s character. All we know is that
Abel was the preferred one and at the same time, he was killed by his brother Cain, ... Show more

Adam and Aron had also one thing in common, that they left their home, with no regard to their
family. Adam simply went to the army, which seemed as some kind of escape than a service for
the country and Aron decided to leave the Salinas to go to college.
After Cyrus died, Adam told Charles that he hated their father, even though Cyrus preferred Adam
the whole time. This is another example of strange behavior to his brother Charles, who feels
abandoned in their family home. Adam did not write him any letters, only to inform him if and
when he was coming home. At this point of the story, Adam is no longer the pure and innocent
Abel figure. When Adam tells Charles about his time spent in prison, Charles felt warmth for his
brother you can only feel for one who is not perfect and therefore no target for your hatred (East of
Eden 144). Leatham claims that at this point in the novel, the standard interpretation of Cain and
Abel breaks down, and so do[es] the dualism that separated Charles and Adam and the arbitrary
and false divisions humans in general draw in order to categorize others and order their world
(Leatham 14). This means that neither Charles nor Adam are longer a hundred percent pure good
or bad characters, it seems like they exchanged some of the traits. Adam is not an entirely good
character because he neglects his family, he disrespects his father and he is not hard working, but

Folliculogenesis Essay
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to inform on the topic of folliculogenesis, how it occurs, and its role in
reproduction.
Introduction
Folliculogenesis is the production of follicles in the ovaries of female reproductive system.
Every month females go through their ovarian cycle, in which the ovaries produce follicles that
help to carry out the egg cell necessary for reproduction. This egg cell is carried out to be
fertilized by a sperm cell received from males during sexual intercourse. If the egg cell is not
fertilized by the sperm cell, then the female ends up going through the menstrual cycle in which the
egg is expelled and the monthly bleeding begins and persists its monthly course. The topic of
folliculogenesis may be overlooked, but when researching about the topic it is seen how important
this cycle is in reproduction. This cycle lays out the platform for reproduction every month, without
this cycle the proper hormones would not be able to be produced in the system.
Stages of Folliculogenesis
The ovarian cycle in a normal female occurs every month that lasts for a total of 28 days. The
first stage of folliculogenesis is the primordial follicles, this is when the ovaries produce the first
follicles at day zero. Each follicle consists of an egg cell with granulosa cells around it. The job of
the granulosa cells is to nourish the egg cell and help it travel through the ovary until fertilization.
In the next stage of folliculogenesis the primordial follicles

Women in Art Essay
Women in Art
Throughout history many artistic works have been deemed great and many individuals have been
labeled masters of the discipline. The question of who creates art and how is it to be classified as
great or greater than another has commonly been addressed by scholars and historians. The last
quarter of the 20th century has reexamined these questions based on the assertions that no women
artists have ever created or been appreciated to the level of greatness that perpetually befalls their
male counterparts. The position that society has institutionalized on women as unable to be
anything but subordinate and unexpressive is a major contributor to this claim. Giving a brief
history of gender discrimination in the art ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the Guerrilla Girls, art museums average 15% women in curated exhibits, and

The study of why women artists have systematically been erased from history and why currently the
exhibition of women s art is not valued as much as the male artists continues. There have been
many theories behind the eradication of women artists from history. At the beginning of the Women
s Liberation Movement, an art historian by the name of Linda Nochlin published an article called,
Why have there been no great women artists? In here article, she addressed her own question
offering one of the first consciously feminist challenges to the established canons of art history.
Her query proved to be a rallying cry for women artists in the fervent days of the Women s
Liberation movement and offered fragments of a manifesto to women artists, and others, intent on
reexamining and ultimately restructuring the discipline (Morse, 1992). Nochlin argues that
contemporary feminists contend that there is a different greatness between men s art and women
s art. This view of art undermines the general discipline. It categorizes its value in order to give it
a higher classification among gender. Many women are trying to delve back into history and
recapture any trace of artistic women in order to document and arrange their

The Best And Worst Of The American Industrial Revolution
The Best and Worst of the American Industrial Revolution
Paradoxes as well as contradictions have been expressed in describing previous time periods.
Stated from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, It was the best of times, it was the worst of
times...for the good or for the evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only (Dickens 1).
Specifically, Dickens had referred this quote to a French revolution, but the statement can pertain to
many other historical events and continues through today. In the American Industrial Revolution,
the outcome left multiple views of whether it was considered a pro or a con. However, the
American Industrial Revolution has demonstrated both numerous challenges along with countless
benefits to the country.
The American Industrial Revolution took place in the United States during the 19th and 20th
century. When the new uprising change came to America, the United States was heavily influenced
by European ideas, which for Europe began in the late 18th century (Hillstrom 10). America started
off primarily as an agricultural country until it gained dominance in industry and finance by 1918.
Labor, politics, enslaved African Americans, and such important resources were of the many factors
that helped spread industrialization. Additionally, the U.S. government was effectively involved by
supplying equipment and assisting to the many advancements from the nation s transformation

How Is Mr Ware Character Analysis
Mr. Warren is a very interesting and unique character who appears in the short story A Kind of
Murder by Hugh Pentecost. The new teacher, Mr. Warren comes to Morgan Military Academy to
replace a chemistry teacher who died halfway through the term. As a partially deaf man, he finds it
hard to adjust to the new school, especially since he came in the middle of the term. The strict
academydoes not promote his physical condition at all, and he isn t treated well because of that.
Mr. Warren gets pushed around but chooses not to confront the challenges posed upon him by
others. That s his own way of showing courage. His beliefs may be peculiar, but if anyone knows
anything about courage, it d be him. Mr. Warren may not present himself in the best light, but he
s definitely a man who showcases bravery, empathy, and kindness at times. Physically, Mr.
Warren is a skinny man with stooped shoulders and tattered clothes. His posture doesn t do him
much justice. It demonstrates a lack of confidence in himself. The way Mr. Warren dresses
shows that he is not a very wealthy man at all. He wears summer topcoats in the middle of
Winter, uses borrowed shorts, and owns the same black shoes and black socks. Maybe he saves
his money, but the clothes he wears definitely points to a lack of wealth. Despite his state of

Cultural Identity, I Believe, Is A Sense Of Belonging Or
Cultural identity, I believe, is a sense of belonging or connection to a social group. It is a self
perception influenced through nationality, race, ethnicity, and religious affiliation just to name a
few. Highly similar to the description provided in the textbook, in which people may identify with
ethnic, religious, or national identitybecoming increasingly dynamic and a matter of individual
choice, (Shiraev Levy, 2017, p.8) captivating the combination of different backgrounds, ideas, and
preferred choices.
Such dynamicity and freedom in social groups along with the occurring social, economic, political,

There could be many variations, discrepancies, and dissimilarities within one culture.
Multiple cultural memberships have a great impact on individual identity. As mentioned before, it
creates an experience of a new culture; differentiating from the old culture and the new context
forming a unique blend. Many immigrants have dual ethnic identities and speak two languages.
Their identity development requires additional knowledge from both involving cultures, such as
attitudes, behaviors including norms, roles, customs and other practices. Therefore, shaping their
identity within both culturally appropriate norms. Some consider this a two sets of personalities. As
explained by François Grosjean, whom considers that bicultural bilinguals have double
personality, many bilinguals report that they change their attitudes and behaviors when they change
language (Grosjean, 2015). The impact allows bicultural individuals to adapt and adjust based on
the cultural schemas, behaviors and the customs in accordance to the cultural cues. François
Grosjean further states that language is associated with a shift in social roles and emotional
attitudes...and since each language is learned and usually employed with different persons and
different context, the use of language may come to be associated with a shift in a large array of
behavior (Grosjean, 2015). Take for instance the changes in social norms

Heart Of Darkness By Joseph Conrads
In Joseph Conrads work, Heart of Darkness, many characters fall victim to insanity caused by the
wild environment. However, there are a select few who managed to leave the jungle unscathed after
their encounter with the foreign landscape and people. Among these few include the chief
accountant of the Outer Station, the foreman of mechanics, the manager of the Central Station, and
Marlow. It was not by chance that these men are able to retain their sanity. Each one of these
individuals had an occupation, background, lifestyle, or intellect that worked in their favor
throughout their stay in the Congo. One of the first men introduced to Marlow upon his arrival to
the Outer Station is the company s chief accountant. Not only is he impeccably dressed, but he is
devoted entirely to his paperwork. Marlow immediately observes, He was devoted to his books,
which were in apple pie order (Conrad 46). The accountant s drive and nature of work are what
occupy his time and keep him from losing his mind amidst the dark and menacing jungle. His
stationary and indoor occupation prevent him from getting lost mentally and physically in the
horrors of the jungle. His lack of exposure to the environmentallows him to maintain his civility,
which can be observed through his polished appearance and organized work. Consumed by his
work, the accountant is distracted from the horrors happening around him, remaining blissfully
ignorant amongst his papers. Similarly, the foreman of mechanics

specific strategies mentioned in both the book and the case study.
The case study focuses on the importance of developing strategies that are newer, faster and more
effective strategy making processes. The case study compares how software developers invented
new development processes, such as rapid application development, extreme programming and agile
software development, to confront the new realities, where many strategists in various companies
uses traditional approaches that are not as effective as the strategies used by software developers.
The case study emphasizes on the importance of updating and changing strategies so companies
can run a smooth operation. The case study has only focused on one form of strategy which is
Adaptive Approach to Strategy Development, The Spiral Model as the best and most effective
strategy.
The book mentions various forms of strategies in details. Also, it emphasizes on the importance of
choosing the right strategy in order for a company to succeed as we have seen the case study, In
chapter six we can see the importance of competitive advantage, steps involved in strategy making
process, types of corporate level strategies, various types of industrial strategies and components of

In the 1700 s the piano was invented by Bartolomeo Cristofori in Florence, Italy first introduced to

instrument played by talented people in the world. (Wendy Powers, 2003) Music has lived on from

There was an Economic decline; the powerful Habsburgs of Spain had dominated most of Italy in
one form or another starting 1559 to 1713, and music and art continued to speak freely.
In developing the piano Bartolomeo Cristofori had been working on getting a feel for the
harpsichord to respond to touch. He developed a mechanical action that made it possible to
sound simultaneously as many notes as one had fingers and do to this to be able to produce any
work in the entire literature of Western music with variations of loud and soft according to the
player s touch at the keyboard. It included a complex mechanical action with a hammer that rose
towards a string four times as fast as the finger, an escapement to allow the hammer to rebound
from the freely vibrating string, a check for the hammer to prevent bouncing, and a shift so the
hammer would play only one of the two strings to reduce volume. Cristofori s hammer mechanism
was so well designed, that no other of comparable sensitivity and reliability was developed as
known for another seventy five years. The highly compound accomplishment of the modern piano
may be sketched directly to his original conception. Todays the piano sustains pitches in a lyrical
fashion, creating all musical styles and moods and is universal all because of Bartolomeo Cristofori
s invention of the great musical instrument. This popular instrument has changed over the years

The Boston Tea Party occurred on December 16, 1773, and is marked as one of the greatest

the Townsend Acts, except for a duty on tea; a demonstration of Parliament s ability and right to tax

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud Essay
I wandered lonely as a cloud is a poem written by William Wordsworth which is known as
daffodils. It was published in 1815 with a new revision after realizing there were words that
needed to be changed in Poet in Two Volumes edition (Abishek, 2013). This poem is one of the
examples of romantic era. I love this poem because the content is related to nature. It is true with
the statement from Xiaolin Huang, Feifei Pei, and Changle Fu (2014) that William Wordsworth
often called himself as A Worshiper of Nature so everyone called him as a poet of nature. He
thought that nature could illuminate the kind heartedness and universal brotherhood of human
being, and only present in harmony with the nature where human could get the truly happiness....

The first stanza tells that the poet was wandering alone to a place whereby yellow daffodils flies
over the hills and valleys with the wind flow. These daffodils grew under the trees and were
close to the lake. The breeze made these daffodils easily fluttering like they were happily
dancing. While in the second stanza, the poet saw these flowers shining and twinkling brightly
like stars in the Milky Way. They spread over a large area along the bay margin with a huge
quantity. Moreover, in the third stanza, the poet tells that both of lake and daffodils were also
dancing. He shows that the daffodils looked beautiful rather than the sparkling of the lake
because the daffodils have more glee. Here he shows the loneliness gradually turning into
happiness because of his companions (lake and daffodils) but he could not understand what he
gained from his experience. For final stanza, it tells that whenever the poet felt loneliness, he
could remember the happiness when he saw the dancing daffodils. In addition, we can take a look
at the use of past tense along the poem which tells about the poet s experience and the use of
present tense is used only in the last stanza since the important message of this poem is about the
reflection of the poet s

How did he get them? Exercise of course! It may not have been the exercise that we know today,

they did not have our modern day machines to build those great coliseums.
The youth of today have often been told or led to believe that an activity is not a sport. I beg to

Depression And Anxiety And Depression
Although anxiety and depression may seem to be separate categories of symptoms, as outlined in
the DSM 5 (APA, 2013), and therefore different, many theorists posit that there is an underlying set
of factors for both (Clark, Steer Beck, 1994, Clark Watson, 1991). Such commonalities between the
diagnoses may explain the common comorbidity (Wittchen, Zhao, Kessler, Eaton, 1994). The high
comorbidity between anxiety and mood disorders exacerbates the debate on the distinguish ability
of the constructs (Andrews, 1996).
One central component of anxiety and depression is the anticipation of negative future outcomes
(Miranda, Mennin, 2007). This has been found across a wide age range, from adolescents to adults
(Kagan, MacLeod, Pote, 2004). However, depression and anxiety differ in that those with higher
depression scores tend to also anticipate a low chance of positive future outcomes (MacLeod, Tata,
Kentish, Jacobsen, 1997). Not only do individuals with depression differ from anxious individuals
with regards to low anticipation of positive outcomes, they also differ from non depressed
individuals in that they are more likely to hold such pessimistic beliefs about the future (Anderson,
1990). This supports the tripartite model (Clark Watson, 1991) of high anticipation of negative
outcomes, and low anticipation of positive outcomes.

Intersectionality And Morality
Intersectionality is a relevant theory for some gay, lesbian or bisexual individuals. Intersectionality
studies the relationships among multiple dimensions and modalities of social relationships and

sexual orientationand other categories of identity interact on many and often concurring levels of
social relationships, therefore allowing discrimination and social inequity. Intersectionality explains
how the notion of social injustice, such as racism, sexism, homophobia, and belief based bigotry
such as religion are not independent of one another; instead, they are interconnected, and thereby

Every day in the United States, a young person, under the age of eighteen faces homelessness,
and most often it s because of others. In a report by The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, it
was noted that 26% of LGBTQ youth were kicked out of their homes when they came out (Ray,
2006). The Urban Justice League reports numbers as high as 78% of LGBTQ youth that were
removed from or left their foster care placements because they were un welcoming or hostile
towards their sexual orientation and/or gender identity (Feinstein, Greenblatt, Hass, Kohn, Rana,
2001). The United States is an independent, individualistic country; we prize the freedom of
expression, but do we really? One of the most significant, if not the most important, social structures
is the family. Gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals who are aware of their sexuality, must create an
alternative self to present to family and friends, especially if there is an understanding, verbalized or
implicit, that homosexuality is not tolerated, or simply wrong. Many gay, lesbian and bisexual men
and women would rather go with the flow, assimilate, not make waves, rather than to express their
own gay identity, and risk ostracism.
When race is factored into the equation of homosexuality, it becomes more complicated. Taking a

Essay about The Painted Bird, Examining The Human Condition
In the book The Painted Bird Jerzy Kosinski covers many topics of the human character. Some of
the human conditions that Kosinski shows us in the book are lying, deceit, love, anger, prejudice,
superstition. In the Painted Bird Kosinski mainly focuses on the three human conditions hate,
prejudice (judgment), and love. He is clear in showing that humans sin a great deal, and feel hate,
prejudice, and love.
The beginning of the book gives us an idea of how the boy will be treated throughout the story
because of his race and how he is judged by others. One of the first adults we see the boy with when
he is separated from his parents is Marta. Marta is a very old woman who seems to not care for the

The villagers believed in these superstitions and followed them religiously to keep themselves
safe from a gypsy such as the boy. As the boy continued his childhood he learns of more and more
horrific ways that people of his kind are treated by the Germans.
Within chapters 2 3 the boy clearly learns how he is judged by the villagers and the value of his
life to them. After Marta s house burnt down the boy flees to a nearby village to find help, and
safety. Along the way he runs into other villagers who recognize the boy as a gypsy. As the boy
sat crying he was surrounded by the men and women who beat him while others watched. This is
a very sad time for the boy and a hard time because this is the first instance in which he is truly
beaten in the book, because of his race. We later learn the similarity between the painted birdand
the boy. The boy could be considered the painted bird because he is an outcast like the bird and
treated indifferently as the bird. As the boy travels throughout the story he is constantly humiliated
and beaten by many strangers and his caretakers humiliate him verbally. This teaches the boy to an
extent how others will treat him and what to expect from other villagers he might come across in
his life.
Throughout the story we encounter love consistently, in these encounters the boy learns how love
can affect a mob or a person to be jealous or have hate towards others. One of

like to believe that becoming an adult gives us all the answers, it doesn t. Even in adulthood,

powerless as they were in their childhood. Take Auntie Em as an example. She can t do anything

and most recent generation. Each successive generation usually brings new base technologies, more
network capacity for more data per user, and the potential for better voice quality. 3Gbecame
available in the United States in 2002 and 4Gbecame available in 2009 (O Malley). Although it is a
previous generation of communications standards, 3G is still in use world wide and will
probably remain so for a few more years. 4G is still relatively new and has somewhat limited
coverage, but it is only going to expand and get better.
Brief History ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are over 190 3G networks operating in over 40 countries worldwide (3G vs 4G). 4G s
coverage pales in comparison to the massive 3G network. The only 4G coverage available at the
present time is in the vicinity of large metropolitan areas. 3G s data transfer speeds have a
minimum data rate of 2 Mbit/s for stationary or walking users, and 384 kbit/s in a moving vehicle
(About Mobile Technology). 4G on the other hand can be up to 10 times faster, but speeds like
this are only capable in certain areas where the network is capable of supporting such speeds. 3G
remains relevant due to its wide coverage when compared with 4G and its consistent and still
relatively high data transfer speeds. But as the 4G network grows, the future of 3G isn t very
promising. It is only a matter of time before 4G takes over completely.
Brief History of 4G 4G is the fourth generation of cell phone mobile communications standards
and successor of the 3G standards. The world s first publicly available 4G service was opened in
the two Scandinavian capitals Stockholm and Oslo in 2009. 4G became available in the United
States later in 2009. As opposed to earlier generations, a 4G system does not support traditional
circuit switched telephony service, but uses all Internet Protocol (IP) based communication
exclusively (3G vs 4G). 4G system provides mobile ultra broadband internet access to laptops with

Reflective Paper on Group Therapy.
REFLECTION ON GROUP COUNSELLING IN RELATION TO THEORETICAL
APPROACH: Group therapy for me was a very new concept. My understanding towards group
therapy was that every one share their concern issues and goup members discuss about that issue
and get different perspectives about how to deal with that issue by building cohession and trust
among the members. According to zander (1968) a group is a collection of individuals who have
relation to one another that make them interdependent to some significant degree. , Group therapy
is a type of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the
same time.Generally, the counselling group has a speific focus, which may be educational,
vocational, social or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By being in a group, we can be exposed to other perspectives on our problems that we may have
never considered. Group therapy is very effective to bring about changes in the member s. The
first time I personally experienced attending a group therapy was part of my course. Through
this experience i can say that group therapy can be very powerful in healing a person
emotionally and since the members were from the same class, where we all have similar goals.
Group therapy helped all of us to establish meaningful and intimate relationship and we also
recognised commanality of members needs and problems and to develop a sense of bonding
and we became very close and we could also be there for each other during emotionally trying
times. It also helped me to increase self growth, self acceptance and self confidence among
oneself and group members. Group therapy is a powerful venue for growth and change. It also
helped me in expressing my emotions in a healthy way. I feel that group therapy is one of the most
effective tools for addressing issues among diverse groups. Group therapy can benefit almost
everyone. Like individual counselling, group therapy can benefit almost anyone. It can be
especially useful for people who want to explore their style of relating to others and enhance their
approach to relationships in areas such as trust, intimacy, anger, conflict, assertiveness, risk taking,
self esteem, issues of depression, anxiety, and alcohol

The Government Bioethics Conspiracy Of The United States
World governments have frequently relied on unknowing participants and or prisoners of war for
experimentation. While these experiments range vastly concerning procedures, outcomes, and
justification, they all existed to outsmart international enemies efficiently. The government
bioethics conspiracy I researched is Project MKUltra. This was a secretive CIA program that
experimented with mind control, hallucinogenic drugs, and the behavioral engineering of
humans from 1953 to 1973. Because the program existed for a couple decades, it encompassed a
wide range of experiments, types of patients, and immense secrecy. More often than not, test
subjects were not aware of tests to be conducted and thought they were participating in standard
medical tests at first. Despite the program coming to a halt, many believe human
experimentation is still ongoing and don t see a future without secret government research.
Project MKUltra was initiated by the CIA and the U.S. Army s CHemical Corps in the early
1950 s and quickly became an immense project that covered over 80 institutions, and involved
hundreds of scientists. (Horrock, Nicholas M. (4 Aug 1977). 80 Institutions Used in C.I.A. Mind
Studies: Admiral Turner Tells Senators of Behavior Control Research Bars Drug Testing Now .
New York Times.) A majority of the research was done at U.S. universities and occasionally the
participants were cognizant of forthcoming events. One example is Ken Kesey who willingly took
part in an MKUltra

The Cuckoo Search Guided By Correlation And Classi Cation... 20th International Conference on Knowledge Based and Intelligent Information and Engineering Systems Cuckoo Search Guided by Correlation and Classiп¬Ѓcation Accuracy for Dimensionality Reduction Waleed Yamany a a,c, , E. Emary b , Aboul Ella Hassanien Fayoum University, Faculty of Computers and Information, Fayoum, Egypt b Cairo University, Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo, Egypt c Scientiп¬Ѓc Research Group in Egypt (SRGE) b,c Abstract Attribute reduction is a challenge in that is has a big eect on classiп¬Ѓcation accuracy as the classiп¬Ѓer training time, complexity and running time increases as a number of attributes used increases. Commonly attributes in a given data set are correlated, noisy and redundant. In this work, a system for attribute reduction was proposed making use of п¬Ѓlter based attribute reduction using the correlation based attribute reduction. The cuckoo search optimizer was used to search the attribute space of attribute set with minimum correlation among selected attributes. By running the cuckoo search for a predetermined ratio of iterations, the selected attribute sets are reevaluated using a new п¬Ѓtness function based on wrapper based attribute reduction. The initial agents /solutions for this second stage of optimization are guaranteed to have minor correlation and hence are the candidate for further improvement towards the classiп¬Ѓcation accuracy п¬Ѓtness function. • 3. Research Paper On Sandra Day O Connor Kaylee Mackey 10/1/17 Liebrecht p. 5 Sandra Day O Connor I think that Sandra Day O Connor was a big part of history and feminism. She is one of the biggest female figures ever. Without her, a lot of women wouldn t have the inspiration to be as great as they can and do whatever they want in life. She inspired so many people to get where they are. Sandra Day O Connor was the first woman to join the supreme court. She was born in El Piso, Texas on March 26th, 1930. She grew up in Arizona on the family s ranch and wrote a memoir about her childhood called Lazy B: Growing up on a Cattle Ranch in the American SouthWest in 2002 when she was still working for the Supreme court. When she was old enough to go to school, she moved in with her grandmother in El Paso, where she was born, to go to a private school. She went to Stanford University and was on the Stanford Law review then graduated, third in her class in 1950 with a bachelor s degree in economics. She got her law degree two years later, in 1952. Sandra Day O Connor obviously worked really hard to get where she got and she was very smart because she was in near the top of her class at Stanford where everyone is very serious and competitive. She was above most boys which proves that a girl can be just as smart as a boy. A long time ago women weren t even allowed to go to school and here she is graduating at Stanford at the top of her class. This shows people that girls can be just as smart or even smarter than men which I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mustard seeds have popped up all along my PA journey so far, and they sum up the why of my dream career. While shadowing physician assistants, I volunteered at The Mustard Seed Medical Missions, a nonprofit organization that provides medical care to those with financial hardships. My first day there I got to meet the staff who made it all happen the two women who worked the front desk who answered phones and organized patient files, the nurse who manually took blood pressure and did a review of why the patient was attending, the phlebotomist who took blood in even the smallest of veins to run labs, the translator ... • 11. Nature Nurture Debate in Gender Development Essay If a person displays masculine, feminine or androgynous behavior, then what determines this? The two main arguments are either gender is innate or it has been learnt. These two different perspectives represent a famous debate that occurs throughout psychology: the nature nurture debate. The nature side of the debate states that gender is biological. This would explain the strong relationship between the person s sex and their gender. The theory is that because each sex shares the same physiology and anatomy, they have many psychological traits in common too. In the same way that genetics and hormones determine an individual s sex, they also determine whether a person will behave in a more feminine or masculine way. Males are born ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How does nature explain those cases where a person does not adopt the gender role expected of their sex even when there are no genetic abnormalities? In addition, if males and females are naturally different, then how do we explain the finding that both sexes are becoming more similar as gender roles become more androgynous? There is also a body of evidence to show that males and females have different roles in different societies. The nurture side of the argument states that gender is essentially a product of socialization. It is dependent on environmental experiences. Family upbringing and society s expectations would therefore play a key role in a person s gender. This would mean, of course that most boys learn to behave in a masculine way and mot girls learn to behave in feminine ways. The nurture argument can explain why some people adopt the gender role not expected of their sex. In theory, a feminine boy would have had a set of experiences which have led him to acquire a different gender role from most boys. If gender roles are nurtured, it also explains why an individual s gender may change over time as anything that is learnt can be unlearnt and replaced by a new set of behaviours. The nurture argument can also explain cultural variations in gender related behavior. What distinguishes one culture from another is the fact that they have their own set of beliefs, values and norms. There is evidence that people s behavior is influenced by the standards ... Summary Execution at Temple Drive by Bam Alegre Philippines, September 2016 Five months after the new administration launched its polarizing war against drugs, various groups have raised serious concerns about the frequency and impunity of extrajudicial killings in the country. Even the death counts do not agree, with estimates ranging from one and a half to over three thousand dead through the war, less than half of these due to vigilante killings or unknown assailants. The legitimacy and protocol of police operations have been put into question due to the seeming excess in number of operations escalating to shootouts or the alleged violations of human rights in the apprehension of drug suspects. Definitely, the proliferation of drug production and distribution in the Philippines poses severe problems on the country s economy and sociopolitical stability. As a form of illicit trade, drug trafficking is able to undermine state authority and the rule of law by fuelling corruption, compromising elections, and hurting the legitimate economy. Abel is originally described as the good one, the innocent and more likeable, after all it was his gift that God preferred over Cain s. This is also the case of Adam s son Aron, that Aron is the preferred son over Caleb. In the first generation of the Trasks, following the Abel Cain framework, Steinbeck had Adam as the Abel figure. Adam and Aron had also one thing in common, that they left their home, with no regard to their family. Adam simply went to the army, which seemed as some kind of escape than a service for the country and Aron decided to leave the Salinas to go to college. After Cyrus died, Adam told Charles that he hated their father, even though Cyrus preferred Adam the whole time. This is another example of strange behavior to his brother Charles, who feels abandoned in their family home. Adam did not write him any letters, only to inform him if and when he was coming home. At this point of the story, Adam is no longer the pure and innocent Abel figure. When Adam tells Charles about his time spent in prison, Charles felt warmth for his brother you can only feel for one who is not perfect and therefore no target for your hatred (East of Eden 144). Leatham claims that at this point in the novel, the standard interpretation of Cain and Abel breaks down, and so do[es] the dualism that separated Charles and Adam and the arbitrary and false divisions humans in general draw in order to categorize others and order their world (Leatham 14). Introduction Folliculogenesis is the production of follicles in the ovaries of female reproductive system. Every month females go through their ovarian cycle, in which the ovaries produce follicles that help to carry out the egg cell necessary for reproduction. This egg cell is carried out to be fertilized by a sperm cell received from males during sexual intercourse. If the egg cell is not fertilized by the sperm cell, then the female ends up going through the menstrual cycle in which the egg is expelled and the monthly bleeding begins and persists its monthly course. The topic of folliculogenesis may be overlooked, but when researching about the topic it is seen how important this cycle is in reproduction. This cycle lays out the platform for reproduction every month, without this cycle the proper hormones would not be able to be produced in the system. Stages of Folliculogenesis The ovarian cycle in a normal female occurs every month that lasts for a total of 28 days. The first stage of folliculogenesis is the primordial follicles, this is when the ovaries produce the first follicles at day zero. Each follicle consists of an egg cell with granulosa cells around it. The job of the granulosa cells is to nourish the egg cell and help it travel through the ovary until fertilization. • 26. Heart Of Darkness By Joseph Conrads In Joseph Conrads work, Heart of Darkness, many characters fall victim to insanity caused by the wild environment. However, there are a select few who managed to leave the jungle unscathed after their encounter with the foreign landscape and people. Among these few include the chief accountant of the Outer Station, the foreman of mechanics, the manager of the Central Station, and Marlow. It was not by chance that these men are able to retain their sanity. Each one of these individuals had an occupation, background, lifestyle, or intellect that worked in their favor throughout their stay in the Congo. One of the first men introduced to Marlow upon his arrival to the Outer Station is the company s chief accountant. Not only is he impeccably dressed, but he is devoted entirely to his paperwork. Marlow immediately observes, He was devoted to his books, which were in apple pie order (Conrad 46). The accountant s drive and nature of work are what occupy his time and keep him from losing his mind amidst the dark and menacing jungle. His stationary and indoor occupation prevent him from getting lost mentally and physically in the horrors of the jungle. His lack of exposure to the environmentallows him to maintain his civility, which can be observed through his polished appearance and organized work. Consumed by his work, the accountant is distracted from the horrors happening around him, remaining blissfully ignorant amongst his papers. Similarly, the foreman of mechanics ... There was an Economic decline; the powerful Habsburgs of Spain had dominated most of Italy in one form or another starting 1559 to 1713, and music and art continued to speak freely. In developing the piano Bartolomeo Cristofori had been working on getting a feel for the harpsichord to respond to touch. He developed a mechanical action that made it possible to sound simultaneously as many notes as one had fingers and do to this to be able to produce any work in the entire literature of Western music with variations of loud and soft according to the player s touch at the keyboard. It included a complex mechanical action with a hammer that rose towards a string four times as fast as the finger, an escapement to allow the hammer to rebound from the freely vibrating string, a check for the hammer to prevent bouncing, and a shift so the hammer would play only one of the two strings to reduce volume. Cristofori s hammer mechanism was so well designed, that no other of comparable sensitivity and reliability was developed as known for another seventy five years. The highly compound accomplishment of the modern piano may be sketched directly to his original conception. It was published in 1815 with a new revision after realizing there were words that needed to be changed in Poet in Two Volumes edition (Abishek, 2013). This poem is one of the examples of romantic era. I love this poem because the content is related to nature. It is true with the statement from Xiaolin Huang, Feifei Pei, and Changle Fu (2014) that William Wordsworth often called himself as A Worshiper of Nature so everyone called him as a poet of nature. He thought that nature could illuminate the kind heartedness and universal brotherhood of human being, and only present in harmony with the nature where human could get the truly happiness.... These daffodils grew under the trees and were close to the lake. The breeze made these daffodils easily fluttering like they were happily dancing. While in the second stanza, the poet saw these flowers shining and twinkling brightly like stars in the Milky Way. They spread over a large area along the bay margin with a huge quantity. Moreover, in the third stanza, the poet tells that both of lake and daffodils were also dancing. He shows that the daffodils looked beautiful rather than the sparkling of the lake because the daffodils have more glee. Here he shows the loneliness gradually turning into happiness because of his companions (lake and daffodils) but he could not understand what he gained from his experience. For final stanza, it tells that whenever the poet felt loneliness, he could remember the happiness when he saw the dancing daffodils. In addition, we can take a look at the use of past tense along the poem which tells about the poet s experience and the use of present tense is used only in the last stanza since the important message of this poem is about the reflection of the poet s ... • 36. Depression And Anxiety And Depression Although anxiety and depression may seem to be separate categories of symptoms, as outlined in the DSM 5 (APA, 2013), and therefore different, many theorists posit that there is an underlying set of factors for both (Clark, Steer Beck, 1994, Clark Watson, 1991). Such commonalities between the diagnoses may explain the common comorbidity (Wittchen, Zhao, Kessler, Eaton, 1994). The high comorbidity between anxiety and mood disorders exacerbates the debate on the distinguish ability of the constructs (Andrews, 1996). One central component of anxiety and depression is the anticipation of negative future outcomes (Miranda, Mennin, 2007). This has been found across a wide age range, from adolescents to adults (Kagan, MacLeod, Pote, 2004). However, depression and anxiety differ in that those with higher depression scores tend to also anticipate a low chance of positive future outcomes (MacLeod, Tata, Kentish, Jacobsen, 1997). Not only do individuals with depression differ from anxious individuals with regards to low anticipation of positive outcomes, they also differ from non depressed individuals in that they are more likely to hold such pessimistic beliefs about the future (Anderson, 1990). This supports the tripartite model (Clark Watson, 1991) of high anticipation of negative outcomes, and low anticipation of positive outcomes. Gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals who are aware of their sexuality, must create an alternative self to present to family and friends, especially if there is an understanding, verbalized or implicit, that homosexuality is not tolerated, or simply wrong. Many gay, lesbian and bisexual men and women would rather go with the flow, assimilate, not make waves, rather than to express their own gay identity, and risk ostracism. This is a very sad time for the boy and a hard time because this is the first instance in which he is truly beaten in the book, because of his race. While these experiments range vastly concerning procedures, outcomes, and justification, they all existed to outsmart international enemies efficiently. The government bioethics conspiracy I researched is Project MKUltra. This was a secretive CIA program that experimented with mind control, hallucinogenic drugs, and the behavioral engineering of humans from 1953 to 1973. Because the program existed for a couple decades, it encompassed a wide range of experiments, types of patients, and immense secrecy.
