hard to understand for the reader because it focuses on the perspective of a young boy who
narrates in a language that has been shaped by a society in post apocalyptic England. The

L.Y.Y.C. Most students know the L.Y.C.C. as the basketball gym, but there this building has so
much more to offer than that! The L.Y.C.C. has five bathrooms four water fountains and is one
eighth of a mile around, some faculty and students use the round track around the L.Y.C.C. as a
track where they run and walk around for exercise. Inside the track you have a nice basketballcourt
named Paul Porter Arena, accompanied by 3,500 seats that are always packed on game day! The
upper seats located at the top of the arena are made of cement and the lower area seats are your

James Butler Hickock, also known as Wild Bill Hickock, was born in Homer, Illinois (now
Troye Grove, Illinois) on May 27, 1837. He was an outlaw of the American Old West. He was a

Perhaps no greater tragedy defines the American Race for Space than the explosion of the Space
Shuttle Challenger before millions of Americans as they watched on live TV in 1986. Building on
two decades of successful space exploration kicked off by President Kennedy before his death, by
the early eighties the American culture both believed that it was our right to fly into space and that
no one did it better than we did. NASA had sent mission after mission into space over more than
twenty years, each one accomplishing space exploration goals and building the reputation that
America owned the stars. That day in January of 1986 was supposed to be another of those
successes as the Challenger lifted off from Cape Canaveral carrying not only professional

remedies can be considered as an alternative source for the AEDs with novel structures and shows

On the surface, the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw is a modernized, real life spin off
of the Greek myth of Pygmalion, in which a sculptor falls in love with a statue that he has carved.
One can easily argue that Professor Higgins plays the role of the sculptor, as he molds Eliza, the
statue, into something more desirable throughout the entirety of the play. However, when digging
deeper into the text through the use of close reading, I found that the play itself outlined and
symbolized the differences in social classhierarchies. In fact, I think that the text was a medium
that the author used to display a social experiment, and highlight the advantages and
disadvantages that the changing of social hierarchies is able to provide. The play opens with a
dark, rainy scene that introduces the majority of the main characters right away. Eliza, referred
to as the Flower Girl is initially depicted as a ragged, grimy individual hopelessly trying to sell
flowers to people leaving a theater after a show. Nearby, Professor Higgins and Colonel
Pickering are depicted as well dressed, stable individuals that are referred to as the Note Taker and
the Gentleman respectively. In this particular scene, I think that Shaw does a great job of showing
upfront differences in social structure, as the Flower Girl is representative of the poorer, lower
class community, while the Note Taker and the Gentleman are displaying the wealthier upper class.
