The document summarizes Greek creation myths as told by Hesiod in Theogony. It describes how Gaia (Earth) emerged from chaos and gave birth to Uranus (Sky) without assistance. From their union came the Titans like Cronus. Cronus overthrew his father Uranus with the help of Gaia and became ruler, marrying his sister Rhea. Their son Zeus later overthrew Cronus and the Titans, establishing the Olympian gods like himself as the new rulers of the cosmos.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. • "Myths of origin" or "creation
myths" represent an attempt
to render the universe
comprehensible in human
terms and explain the origin
of the world.
• The most widely accepted
version at the time, although
a philosophical account of the
beginning of things, is
reported by Hesiod, in
his Theogony.
4. • It begins with Chaos, a
yawning nothingness.
• Out of the void
emerged Gaia (the
Earth) and some other
primary divine
beings: Eros (Love),
the Abyss (the Tartarus
), and the Erebus.
5. • Without male assistance, Gaia
gave birth to Uranus (the Sky)
who then fertilized her. From that
union were born first the Titans—
six males:
Coeus, Crius, Cronus, Hyperion,
Iapetus, and Oceanus;
and six females:
Mnemosyne, Phoebe, Rhea, Thei
a, Themis, and Tethys. After
Cronus was born, Gaia and
Uranus decreed no more Titans
were to be born.
6. • .They were followed by
the one-eyed
Cyclopes and
the Hecatonchires or
Hundred-Handed Ones,
who were both thrown
into Tartarus by Uranus.
This made Gaia furious.
7. • Cronus ("the wily, youngest
and most terrible
of Gaia's children”), was
convinced by Gaia to
castrate his father. He did
this, and became the ruler
of the Titans with his sister-
wife Rhea as his consort,
and the other Titans
became his court.
9. • The life of the Greek gods was not “made
in heaven.”
• They, too, have their equal share of wars
and battles.
