I asked all together 11 people and my findings were that a 
higher percentage of females compared to male. 7 of them were 
females and 4 of them were males. This shows that overall this 
will affect my film because more females are going to be 
interested compared to males.

This question shows a variety of different ages for the people 
that I asked. The higher percentage that I got was 16-17 
therefore this shows that my target audience will be aimed at 
that age group, 5 of them were females and 3 of them were 
males out of the 11 people that I asked. Then the next highest 
was the under 15 category with 2 of them being female and none 
of them being males. Finally the lowest of them all was the over 
18 and I only asked 1 male. This graphs so that more people 
who are between the ages of 16 and 17 are more likely to be 
interested with the type of film genre that I have been 
researching and therefore shows that teenagers are going to be 
more interested.

This question shows that out of the 11 people that I asked all 
together all of them said that they liked the genre ‘thriller’. This 
data will help me with the production of my opening scene 
because it shows that it is a popular genre and therefore people 
are more likely going to watch it.

This graph show that more people went for the option ‘yes’ and 
therefore showed that a thriller is a genre they like for a film 
and therefore would watch it. This helps because it shows that 
this type of genre is going to work as 10 people said yes and only 
1 person said that a thriller isn’t really their type of film, 
therefore this would not affect the production of my film 
because only 1 out of the 11 people I asked said this.

This question got me a variety of different answers and 
therefore helped me get a better understanding on how people 
normally watched their films on. The highest that I got was 5 
people who said they wait for the films to be posted online so 
that they could watch them for free. The second highest I got was 
4 people who said they wait for the DVD copy to come out so 
they can watch them at home. Only 2 people said they go to the 
cinema to watch the films and 1 person said other. This affects 
my film because it shows me that not many people would pay 
the money to go to the cinema and therefore my film would not 
get the best response, this makes me think that I would have to 
make the film that extra special in order for the people to go to 
the cinema to watch it.

This question also got me a variety of different answers and 
therefore showed me how much people actually spend in 
regards to watching films. The highest that I got was 6 people 
who said that they spends on average £6-£10 on watching films 
this could include in anything from going to the cinema and 
watching a film, or buying the film on DVD or if you have a 
certain website online such as Netflix that you have to pay 
monthly. The second highest was 3 people who said that they 
normally spend £1-£5 on average in regards to watching films.
Then I had 1 person said £11-£20 and 1 person say nothing. I 
also had no one who spends any more that £20. This therefore 
makes me think that if people were to watch my films I would 
have to price it between £6-£10. 
Do the type of actors/actresses affect whether you watch the 
film?

This shows that 8 people said that the actors/actresses do affect 
whether or not they would want to watch that film or not and 
only 2 people said that it doesn’t affect them and they watch the 
film because they want to, therefore taking all of this on-board I 
would have to make sure that my actors/actresses are going to 
help me sell the film.

  • 2. This question shows a variety of different ages for the people that I asked. The higher percentage that I got was 16-17 therefore this shows that my target audience will be aimed at that age group, 5 of them were females and 3 of them were males out of the 11 people that I asked. Then the next highest was the under 15 category with 2 of them being female and none of them being males. Finally the lowest of them all was the over 18 and I only asked 1 male. This graphs so that more people who are between the ages of 16 and 17 are more likely to be interested with the type of film genre that I have been researching and therefore shows that teenagers are going to be more interested. Series1 This question shows that out of the 11 people that I asked all together all of them said that they liked the genre ‘thriller’. This data will help me with the production of my opening scene because it shows that it is a popular genre and therefore people are more likely going to watch it.

Would a thriller be your type of film? 12 10 8 6 4 2 0 yes no This graph show that more people went for the option ‘yes’ and therefore showed that a thriller is a genre they like for a film and therefore would watch it. This helps because it shows that this type of genre is going to work as 10 people said yes and only 1 person said that a thriller isn’t really their type of film, therefore this would not affect the production of my film because only 1 out of the 11 people I asked said this.   • 4. This question got me a variety of different answers and therefore helped me get a better understanding on how people normally watched their films on. The highest that I got was 5 people who said they wait for the films to be posted online so that they could watch them for free. The second highest I got was 4 people who said they wait for the DVD copy to come out so they can watch them at home. Only 2 people said they go to the cinema to watch the films and 1 person said other. This affects my film because it shows me that not many people would pay the money to go to the cinema and therefore my film would not get the best response, this makes me think that I would have to make the film that extra special in order for the people to go to the cinema to watch it. The highest that I got was 6 people who said that they spends on average £6-£10 on watching films this could include in anything from going to the cinema and watching a film, or buying the film on DVD or if you have a certain website online such as Netflix that you have to pay monthly. The second highest was 3 people who said that they normally spend £1-£5 on average in regards to watching films.
  • 5. Then I had 1 person said £11-£20 and 1 person say nothing. I also had no one who spends any more that £20. This therefore makes me think that if people were to watch my films I would have to price it between £6-£10. Do the type of actors/actresses affect whether you watch the film? 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 yes no Series1 This shows that 8 people said that the actors/actresses do affect whether or not they would want to watch that film or not and only 2 people said that it doesn’t affect them and they watch the film because they want to, therefore taking all of this on-board I would have to make sure that my actors/actresses are going to help me sell the film.
