I chose this question mainly because it
allows me to see what a specific gender
thought about horror films. This could
then in future allow me to make my film
gender specific too, if needs be. Or if there
tends to be a mixture of results it could
just be fit for anyone, regardless of their
gender.

Similar to gender, I used age to try and
estimate which would be the best ages in
terms of my target audience. This way I
can incorporate references from that
specific generation into my film opening at
an attempt to try and make it more
relatable for the audience. This could
mean that they end up enjoying it more.

This is just a general question to find out how
often people tend to watch movies in
general. This could be important because it
may be that the target audience who enjoy
watching horror movies don’t watch movies
very often. This means that this could be
important because it may mean that if I were
to ever sell my film it may not be as
successful due to the fact that the target
audience doesn’t watch very many films. To
avoid this, if it occurs, I could make my film
target audience appeal to a wider population.

I used this question mainly because I
wanted to see whether my preferred genre
for my opening, horror, was actually
popular. This then allows me to follow
peoples opening who actually enjoy a
horror film. This would also apply to the
next question as well, however, this gives
me an estimate to how popular it would
be in terms of who would see it from my
target audience.

This again allows us to establish whether
or not my film (if it were to be made)
would be popular and if so what the target
audience would be. This is slightly
different to the last question because the
last question only asked about a favourite
genre, but just because they like one
particular genre the best it doesn’t mean
that they don’t like horror entirely.
