Opinions on thriller films
one two three four five
male female
When asked what their preferred price for a film was I ordered the
price brackets into class ranges and saw that a higher percentage of
people asked preferred a medium price range with the highest
percentage, 41% preferring a C1 price (as shown in graph 1) As a
result many others prefer to not watch films in the cinema but rather
at home or online at much cheaper prices (As shown in graph 2)
The subjects were al asked about their opinion on thriller films
by asking them to rate thrillers between one and five, five
being that they really enjoy them and one being that they are
not that interesting. The results showed that in the
percentage of people that rated thriller films highly the
majority were male, and the majority of those that rated
lower were female. This tells me that I should look for a way
of aiming my film towards the male demographic as they are
the key market for this genre of film.
Using these results and the comparable profiles of a variation
of thriller films in my secondary research I was able to create
my own predicted comparable profile for my film.
