The Role Of Political Involvement In Law Enforcement...
The leader of a law enforcement agency should be a leader, not only in words but in their action as
well (Garner, 2010). Additionally, they should delegate some responsibilities to those who have the
time necessary to complete the task effectively. Hence, this individual should show that they are
successful in building strong teams. Accordingly, a Chief should clearly define expectations and
goals, so there is no confusion. Likewise, someone with interpersonal skills an aptitude for listening
to others is critical, in relation to community support. Possessing the ability to utilize the media to
spread your ideology and success is also extremely important. Finally, understanding the appropriate
level of political involvement is something that

Summary Of Blaise s False
Blaise launches into the air and scans the sky for Styles. The flabby man screams in fear as he
hurls toward the ground a breakneck speed. Hold on Styles! Blaise makes a motion with his
hands and the big man begins to slow down. The sound of a woman screaming above him
commands his attention next. Titanika is white as a sheet as she watches the ground rushing up
at her. Anika! Blaise shouts as he reaches toward her. Like Styles, she too begins to slow her
descent. A few moments later, all three rune bearers touch down and sprawl on the ground. Can
we never do that again, please? Titanika rasps, still trying to calm her nerves. Before anyone can
respond, Scarlett appears beside Titanika and reaches for her again. No! Blaise commands... Show

Corporate Social Responsibility Of The Banana Industry
Chiquita Brands International is a multinational corporation that focuses on the distribution of
bananas that are produced in several developing Latin American countries. There is a reoccurring
theme of unethical behaviors in the banana industry which in return has made companies such as
Chiquita to take on Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR). CSR has been a crucial factor for
Chiquita to take attention to for a global turnaround. Important features Chiquita had to consider
were obligations to ethical, social standards, legal, and environmental standards. These factors lay
a major role in resolving CSR issues. Chiquita faced other problems besides CSR, for example
they faced difficulties accessing trade markets in the EU. Several trade... Show more content on

a company that was uncaring and indifferent. Chiquita suffered with lack of innovation, small
profits, and low morale with its employees which lead for the company to be extremely infamous.
For instance, in 1998 Chiquita was charged with illegal business practices exposed from an

environmental, human, and political rights. This left an unsavory impression of our company

it was clear to Chiquita that being socially responsible needed to be an interest for long term
success. Chiquita needed to act immediately if it had any hopes of winning over the community.
Chiquita also faced problems with the European Unions decision to impose much larger tariffs and
quotas on Chiquita s imports From Latin American countries. The new tariff s cut the market share

out or explode. However if a phenominon like that were to occur there are diffent theories to what
might happen. It would take light from the explosion eight minutes to travel the 93 million miles
from the sun to the earth. However, Newton s Law of Gravity claims that Earth would suffer an
immediate departature from its normal ellpitctal orbit. If this were to happen knowlege of the sun s

1.7 Name Newton s three laws and state them in your own words. * Newton s first law states that
When viewed in an inertial reference frame, an object either is at rest or moves at a constant
velocity, unless acted upon by an external force. This means that there is a natural inclination of
objects to continue to do what they re doing. All objects withstand changes in their state of
motion. Without an unbalanced force, an object in motion will maintain this state of motion His
second law states that The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to, and in the same
direction as, the net force acting on the body, and inversely proportional to its mass. Thus, F =
ma, where F is the net force acting on the object, m is the mass of the object and a is the
acceleration of the object. This law implicates that heavier objects require more force to move the
same distance as lighter objects. Newton s third and final law tells us When one body exerts a
force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and
opposite in direction to that of

Mental Illness
Mental Illness In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Mental Illness In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Abstract
Mental illness is a prominent problem in today s troublesome world. Each day many people are
diagnosed with a mental illness, most commonly depression. The human mind becomes tarnished
when a person has a mental illness, and often the illness takes over a person s life completely.
Mental illness is a serious problem and often goes untreated or misdiagnosed. The darkness within a
person s mind is one of the toughest aspects of life for people to conquer and many lose
themselves in the fight. To further understand mental illness, it would be easiest to peer into the life
of someone with one of these illnesses. For example, taking a ... Show more content on

While filming the movie, which eventually became one of his biggest successes, he fell in love
with his on screen wife Michelle Williams. The love sprouted after Williams had injured her knee
and Ledger took it upon himself to care for her. Their love grew so quickly that Williams was
pregnant before the film was finished. Their child, Matilda was born in October of 2005. The
two girls were the loves of his life which he was quite open about. During the following couple
years, Heath s fame increased and the demand for his work grew, keeping him away from home
more and more. This led to a break in the relationship between him and Michelle. They separated,
and this sent Ledger into the darkest place he d ever been. He was crushed and depressed over
the fact that he couldn t spend time with his daughter. This depression, coupled with anxiety and
insomnia that he had experienced for most of his adult life, led to him taking a plethora of
prescription pills to counteract his illnesses. Eventually, this barrage of medications on his body
caught up with him, and he passed away due to accidental overdose on January 22, 2008. The
story of Ledger s life is saddening to say the least, and just goes to show that mental illness is a
silent killer that can take the life of any unsuspecting victim caught in its path (Pendleton, 2008).

Elizabeth Jordan Character Analysis
Identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is and in this book Elizabeth Jordan, the
main character is trying to find her identity with this newfound lifestyle. She is trying to adjust to
letting the Lord into her life and dedicating herself to him because she has never done that before.
She always gets distracted, Elizabeth had entered her closet committed to prayer and exited
committed to tackling her foot odor. That was the danger of spending time with Godmost of the
time you found something else to do (Farby, 117). She was struggling to adjust and found it hard
to say what she wanted to. Luckily she had someone to guide, Miss Clara, had told her many
important things throughout this book one quote that helps support Elizabeth in finding her
identity in this book is, There s no magic in the location in the location you pray. But Scripture
does say to go into your inner room and pray secret, and your heavenly Father who sees what is
done in secret will reward you. Get rid of any distractions, and focus your heart and mind on Him.
Acknowledge that He is God and that you desperately needHim (Farby, 151). Following after Miss
Clara said this Elizabeth surrendered herself to the Lord. She got rid of all distractions to solely
focus on him and let the Lord fix all wrong in her life. She surrendered to him knowing she can t
fix all the wrong by herself. All the wrong being her marriage, relationship with her daughter, and
her relationship towards Tony.

Robert Rodriguez s Marketing New Inventions
Judlin Pierre WSIII 023 27 Professor Coyle 17 September 2014 Illustration Essay Great Inventions
Robert Rodriguez s Marketing new inventions is an essay about how to market inventions
smartly and safely. Rodriguez shows examples of inventions that made it in the market and how
they came about. Robert Rodriguez mentions facts about Tim Walsh, who gave examples of
how some products are knocked off the market. Walsh states, The problem is that success often
prompts others to want in on what you are doing (pg.549). Walsh s prime example is the hula
hoop. This product was trademarked in 1958 by Wham O, but was stolen and Wham O is now
making 25% of the market. Rodriguez gave examples of some of the best products but the
inventions in the essay were not the most useful inventions. In fact, pay phones and house phones
had a good hold on people but when cell phones came about, it was all over. Most people may say
the motor vehicle is the best invention ever, but cell phones have that beat. Imagine a world without
the technology we use today; things would be hard and cell phones were the solution. Cell phones
help with communicating, determining location and traveling, and keeping memories alive via
picture and videos.
To begin, cell phones help with communication. They are a help for out of reach times and when in
need to talk to someone. Cell phones help you communicate with family and friends to keep them
informed of our daily status. Texting became a huge part of

Juxtaposition In Medea
Medea s changing intention throughout this story demonstrate a psychologically consistent pattern
of behaviour across events.
Medea shows some inconsistency as she battles internally with her lust for revenge and her desire
not to kill her own children. While Medea talks endlessly about exacting revenge and causing pain
to Jason at whatever cost to her throughout most of the play, her resolve wavers as the reality of
murdering her children approaches. As Molly has highlighted before me, Medea strengthens her
resolve by changing her intentions and considering an argument for killing her children inconsistent
with her previous thoughts, which is, as has been highlighted by Molly and the notes for the week,
sadly all too common in those contemplating

problem. To understand this virtualization we need to know about the Microsoft virtualization
terminology and methodology.
1.1: HYPER V
1.1.1: Introduction
Hyper v can create virtual machines on x86 64 systems. A host server running Hyper V could be
accessed remotely by multiple guest computers .And this guest computer could perform as if they
are using the host server directly. If the application is not available on the guest computer, users on
the guest computers could run applications in the host server remotely.
Hyper V is a hypervisor based virtualization solution, which means that the software layer
providing the virtualization support runs directly on the physical system hardware. This
configuration provides a high performance virtualization platform. A finalized version was released

Causes Of The Salem Witch Trials

Classic Literature
2 October 2017
The Salem Witch Trials The Salem witch trials were an important event in American history.
However this affected more than Salem, the ripples from these trials swept throughout the United
States. Over two hundred witches where accused and twenty where killed. Later the judges
admitted that they had been mistaken and tried to make it right but frictions lasted for a long time
after word. (Blumberg, 2007) The main reason behind the Salem Witch Trials was fear. The
location of Salem was a town that was on the edge of the settled colonies. Therefor the settlers of
this area had many reasons to fear death, by starvation, sickness, or being killed and scalped by
the Native American that lived in the forest. The people that lived in constant fear took it out on
the weaker people. These weaker people where; the old, the poor, and women. When the
movement started this fear compelled the people to take action. (Salem Witch Trials, 2011)
These trials started in Salem when some young girls had fits. The doctor said it was because of
witches and the town blamed several women. Titub, one of the accused, was a slave form the
Caribbean. Sarah Good, another, was a homeless beggar. Sarah Osborne, an elderly impoverished
woman, was the third accused. These three where imprisoned and where tried. Two of them,
Osborne and Good, refused to confess, but finally Titub confessed to associating to with the devil.

What is ageism? How does ageism influence the presence of diversity in society?
Ageism is prejudice and discrimination against older adults. (Schaefer, 2012) It is a set of beliefs,
attitudes, norms, and values used to justify age based prejudice, discrimination, and subordination.

The information in this section of the AoA website brings together a wide variety of statistical
information about this growing population. (Aging, 2013)
What types of legislation may or may not be affected by the aging population?
The two types of legislation that may or may not affect the aging population in the United States
are; The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and the Health Care and Education
Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 respectively. Population aging may affect financial
markets if individuals tend to amass assets during their working years and spend them during
retirement. When there is a large cohort such as the baby boom, there may be more demand than
usual for corporate stock and other assets while the cohort saves for retirement. This demand for
corporate stock and other assets may abate after the cohort retires. (tonihansberry, 2012)
How does poverty affect the aging population?
Aging Americans, like other age groups, are feeling the effects of the declining real estate and
stock markets, as well as soaring fuel and food prices. Seniors economic security will only
increase in importance as the U.S. population ages. The nation s health and social services
resources will face unprecedented demand as 75 million people in the baby boomer generation
reach retirement age some with eroded savings and retirement accounts. Aging people of color are

The Superhero Genre Is Classified By A Fight Of Good Vs. Evil
The superhero genre is classified by a fight of good vs. evil. The heroes and the villains are
complex characters driven by motives that are not always black and white. Besides dealing with
fictional characters, superhero comic books often incorporate real life difficulties, such as racism,
sexism, and drug use. The storylines are driven by the superheroes fight against the forces of evil,
but the underlying story often deals with conflicting moral dilemmas and self doubt. The
superheroes have secret identities and strut around in colorful costumes, but behind these personas,
lay a story of triumph and defeat. The true appeal of comics is not the colorful character who
follows it but the dark, gritty storylines that cause the reader to view the world and humanity in a
new light. In Batman#134 , written in 1960 by Bill Finger, a few of these requirements are
addressed. This comic follows Batman and Robin s adventure in an undisclosed South American
republic. The major conflict lies with a man named Diaz, who releases a monster known as The
Rainbow Creature. This creature terrorizes the village until Batman uses his world class detective
skills to defeat the beast. The storyline is quickly wrapped up in a span of nine pages, and the
childish tone of the comic causes the intrigue of the story to be lost on the reader. On the other
hand, Batman: Ego, written by Darwyn Cooke in 2000, deals with the harsh atmosphere of
Gotham. The comic tells the story of a wounded Batman and

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Autoinjectors
1. Introduction
Mass casualty situations are common with most of the natural disasters like earth quake, tsunami,
flood, avalanche, explosion, accidents, building collapse, military operations and terrorism. Injuries
and wound infections are very common in such disasters that need immediate management;
otherwise it may lead to morbidity and mortality. Medical management is very difficult at that
situation as the access to hospital sector would be either not possible or difficult. Autoinjectors are
very much useful in emergency situations as it can make self administration possible. It can be
used to deliver drug either by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection. Autoinjector has got many
advantages. It delivers the drug fast and gives better bioavailability as it deliver the drug with a
spray effect during administration. It is convenient and since the needle is inside the vial itself, the
needle phobia can be avoided.
1.1Natural disasters and infections

disasters (avalanches and landslides) all these could lead to outbreaks of infectious disease. There

The savage, on the other hand, looked the part of a vicious cannibal, with a stare that could slice

The two seemed to be the strangest pair, however; throughout the remainder of the voyage, the

Moreover, the fact that having offspring is ranked so high in choosing a bride can also be
reflect by the seven reasons for a man to divorce his wife to be permitted, which is recorded in
Liji written by Confucius. The seven reasons are as followed: barrenness, licentiousness, failure to
serve parents in law, loquacity, theft, jealousy and dread disease. From this, it is clear that having
offspring has top priority in a marriage. Another saying of Mencius also sum up how Chinese look
at the matter of bearing offspring: There are three ways to be unfilial; having no sons is the worst.
This saying suggests that two things about having offspring. First, just like mentioned before, the
importance of having offspring in imperial China. Second, is that having offspring seems to be a
duty of a son only, hence, getting married is to fulfill the duty of a son in serving his parents
instead of to be with the love ones.
Second criterion is the social status of the bride. This is the most understandable criterion, which
many of us in the present time would still take into account when choosing partner. Back in the
imperial China, most concern would be places on the financial background. Marriage is the
beginning of a new family therefore a certain amount of money is necessary.
And the last criterion is the virtue of the bride. This is because the

important anomalies being arbitrage trading strategies.

Chen Hong Xia is a Migrant Workers in China s Growing Economy
Chen Hong Xia is one of the 250 million migrants in China s growing economy. These migrant
workers are the people that supports China s whole economy, without them China will not be
where it is now. Although they are crucial in China s growth, migrant workers are treated with
disrespect. Chen Hong Xia is one of the luckier migrant workers. She was able to work her way
out of poverty into a better future. There are many similarities between Chen Hong Xia and most
migrants in China, but Chen Hong Xia s life is significantly better than most migrants. In this essay
we will be comparing and contrasting Chen Hong Xia s expectations, working environment, living
environment and children to the migrant workers in China.
Like many of the migrant workers in China, Chen Hong Xia wanted a better future in the city
and find a job with good working conditions and high wages. Chen Hong Xia comes from a small
town in Shandong province, she grew up on a farm producing rice and corn. Although there were
many job opportunities in Shan Dong province, all the jobs were agricultural jobs that offered
low pay and required lots of physical activity. In the movie Last Train Home directed by Lixin Fan,
Qin left Sichuan Province and went to Dong Guan city because she wanted more money and be
able to pursue her dreams. Many of China s younger generation of migrant workers are abandoning
agricultural production and moving permanently to the city. (Zhou Jing, China s New Generation
Of Migrant Workers)

How Do Cats And Mice Become Enemies
Have you ever wondered why cats and rats are enemies? Well, after reading two legends, I finally
understand somewhat of why they aren t the best of friends. You can never trust someone, no
matter how close you think you are. Cat would never have thought that the rodent would betray
her. And so, in this essay it will show you the similarities and differences of the two legends I read.
Those two legends are called, Catand Rat: The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac and How cats and
mice became enemies. I would first like to explain to you some of the similarities. The first
similarity is that both of the rodents bribed the cat with fish. It s like they had a plan all along,
and they knew that she would be lured into the plan if there was fish involved. Another similarity
in the two legends, is that they both travelled across a wide river. In the legend, Cat and Rat: The
Legend of the Chinese Zodiac, they had to travel across a river in the race they had. And in How
cats and mice became enemies, they were traveling across a river to get to a village. And the... Show

The first difference is kind obvious. But it s just that both the rodents are different kinds, ones a
mouse and the other is a rat. Also in one story, the cat and rat rode on a buffalo. In the other story
though, the cat and mouse rode in a hollowed out pumpkin. Another difference between the two
legends is the number of characters. In the enemy story there s only 2 characters; the cat and the
mouse. But in the other story, there was probably just a little over 12 characters. So that was a big
difference. The third difference is that one of the rodents did something to the cat on purpose,
while the other rodent did it on accident. The rat purposely did what he did to the cat. But the
mouse was just misunderstood and didn t mean to do what he did to the cat. This paragraph has the

Essay on America s Endangered Species Act
America s Endangered Species Act
Save the Bald Eagles! Save the whales! Save the Mountain Lions! Such were the environmentalists
rallying cries that brought about the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Although, the first official
endangered species legislation was a 1966 bill that called for saving U.S. wildlife, but lacked the
powers to do so. The Endangered Species Act(ESA) of 1973 set forth the basic rules that apply in
the U.S. today. Two agencies, the Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries
Service, are responsible for reviewing the status of species in trouble to see if they warrant listing
as either threatened or endangered. The decision is to be based solely on scientific data rather than
social factors, such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By pain, I mean to our consciences or if you will our souls. By adopting the Endangered Species
Act, Americans have adopted a simple value theory, when it comes to dealing with other life
forms. This theory is simply pleasure is good and pain is evil. According to this theory, under the
Endangered Species Act, the extinction of any species that would bring pain to ourselves is to be
saved and those that do not hamper our consciences can be done away with.
This is evident from the modern viewpoint of the caretakers and enforcers of the Endangered
Species Act, the Fish Wildlife Services. According to them the Endangered Species Act of 1973,
holds that endangered and threatened species of animal and plants are of esthetics, ecological,
educational, historical, recreational, and scientific value to the nation and its people (Fish Wildlife
Service,1989). Even advertisements and public educational programs to save endangered species,
only point out the value of certain species to mankind. Nowhere is it said that a species should be
preserved for intrinsic values and its right to exist in the world.
For example, the most famous of the American listed endangered species is the Bald Eagle, our
nation s symbol. The loss of these birds would have been painful to our ego and national pride. By
placing the bird on the Endangered Species Act,

Essay on Physics of Soccer
Physics of Soccer
I. Introduction
Soccer is a sport that s very challenging and during the course of this semester I ve found physics
can also be described as challenging. As far as I was concerned soccer and physics were both
challenging and that was all they had in common, consequently upon researching them both this
semester I found that I was wrong. For me this was nothing new because I ve found that physics isn
t a subject that can be skimmed, but rather it has to be studied to the finest detail. Those small details
if missed can make all your efforts worthless. Or on the positive side understanding those details
can make your efforts worth it in the end. And in soccer if you understand the physics, which to
most players ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Defensively in soccer speed is sometimes slowed down and skilled footwork may be needed. How a
player uses speed or velocity depends on the situation, but if just one isn t done skillfully a player
may not end up making the play as planned.
III. Distance
The distance that you are able to kick the ball can be summed up with the equation for distance,
d=RT, distance equals rate multiplied by the time. So speed and time are both very important
when kicking the ball because it directly affects the distance. Soccer players vary the distances
that they want to kick the ball. Skilled players can estimate very quickly how fast to make the
ball move to make it go where they need it to. Before learning this equation in physics I just
thought you kicked the ball, but now I know that when this equation is applied to soccer it
means so much more. Soccer players can use this to help them judge how hard and fast they need
to be able to kick the ball to make it go a certain distance. This is just another example of how
physics, the small details, can be used to improve ones soccer skills.
IV. Momentum
Momentum can be defined as the product of the inertial mass and the velocity, p=mv (Kirkpatrick,
106). When relating this equation to soccer it can be directly interchanged with the mass of the
player and their speed/direction. So a player must be not only quick, but have the mass to gain the
momentum needed. When the

The purpose of this report is defining the effect on the sale price of a house by lot size of
property and the number of bedrooms. Firstly, basing on a data which contains 450
observations, then we will show the chart s relationship of the number 3 factors which are
bedrooms with the sale price of houses, the number of bedrooms with lot size, and lot size with
the houses sale price. Secondly, the model of the sale price of houses will be given and explain
how we get that model. Finally, it will give answers of some question which are does the number
of bedrooms have a positive impact on the average market price of houses with a fixed set of
other characteristics? And how much? How much does the average price of a house increase if
the lot size is increased by 1 square foot, with all other characteristics held constant? As the
information of question we know the sale price of a house is depended on two factors that is the
number of bedroom and lot size. There are the chart of relationship chart between the number of
bedrooms and the house s price: We can see that is positive relationship of the house price with
number of bedrooms and the house price with lot size are positive, then when the number of
bedrooms or lot size are increasing then the house s price also increase. We can predict the
coefficient of the number of bedrooms and lot size in house price model that is positive. The

Revolution during the Swinging Sixties
The 1960s was a turning point in American history. Many remember the decade as the Swinging
Sixties, best remembered for the hippies and the Beatles, the Rolling stones and the Summer of
Love, drugs, flamboyant fashion, and the permissive society (Fisher 3). Socially, fashion was
making a 180 degree turn. The Beatles influenced fashion for many bands. As Garson stated in his
book, Out were the matching jackets, ties, and pompadours, in were jeans, vests, and longer hair
combed down in the style of the Beatles. (Garson 86). First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy influenced
women s fashion a great deal as well. Fashion both followed and predicated political action. (Rielly

Politically, an even that traumatized the American society was President John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy s goals for America was to help reduce poverty. After his murder, President
Lyndon B. Johnsonquickly jumped into office to help complete his work often known as the
Great Society. It was the largest reform since Roosevelt s New Deal. Two very important pieces
of legislation were passed. The Civil Rights Bill that JFK promised to sign was passed into

Isolation In John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums
Someone who has insignificant contact or a small amount of similarities with another person
persuades a sign of being isolated. The act of isolation is usually detected when someone separates
themselves away from other people or places. In some cases, it can also be the other way around
and other people will disconnect or single out an individual. Throughout the year, half of the short
stories that were given are an enhancement towards the impact of isolation brought upon a

they will evoke from others or based on the reactions others has evoked on them. The author in A P,

The Importance Of Water Scarcity In Egypt
Air, food, water, they are the keys of people to survive, it is no doubt that people can t survive
without anyone of these, thus, water is one of crucial thing that people need. In recent year,
water sustainability become a popular topic because water scarcity is quite serious around the
world, about 1.2 billion people or nearly 20% of the world s population face physical scarcity,
another 25% of population live in a country which lack of necessary equipment to get water from
river or lake (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs 2014) пјЊand water
sustainability is to make sure people have clean water to use in future. Egypt face a water problem,
bad location and inefficient water use, but government have some solutions like use water more
efficient and reduce waste. Israel used to be a water scarcity country, but now, this problem has
been solved by new technology.
Egypt is one of most water stressed country in the world. Two reasons which directly leads to
water scarcity in Egypt. One of main reason is location, Egypt is located in Africa, and surrounded
by Israel, Libya, Sudan and Red Sea, in addition, most areas of Egypt are deserts, these deserts
cause hot and dry climate (Wolvetang 2015). Inefficient irrigation also leads to water scarcity in
Egypt. Because almost 80 mm of rainfall per year, and only 6% of land is suitable for agriculture

There are symptoms that can be managed by medications such as spasticity, muscle cramping,

muscle cramping in patients with ALS are creatine, gabapentin, and clonazepam but overall their

Some forms of opiates, non steroidal anti inflammatory agents such as aspirin or acetaminophen

The World Needs Abortion Essay
One of the most important philosophical issues ever concerns the definition of a person and who is
able to feel. Abortion, which is a deliberate termination of pregnancy, is one of the most important
practical applications of that issue. Life on Earth is threatened with destruction from overpopulation
and the poverty that overpopulation causes. Fortunately, abortion can prevent overpopulation. The
question about whether abortion shouldbe done is primarily the question about whether the embryo
or fetus is a person. In most cases, the embryo weighs less than 100grams: less than 10% of human
brain. Abortion should be legal since it is useful and since humans become conscious after birth, not
before.
Values for Human Society
People are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If an embryo that does not feel is terminated, then the conscious object, a person, is never created.
Not creating a person is not immoral: When people are not having sex, they are not creating a
person. If the society has an optimum population, the net benefit (benefit minus harm) of an extra
person will on average be zero.
Practical Effects of Abortion
The world has a problem of overpopulation, not under population. The environmental problems
occur largely because too many people exist and strain the natural resources. Thus, not creating
an extra person is on average good for the society. (If creating a person would on average be good,
then more people should be created, and the population size is too small, not too large.) In abortion,
when a mother chooses not to create a person, the person is unwanted and thus probably should not
be created.
Much of the poverty found throughout the world is caused by having too many children. Abortion
prevents that and thus reduces poverty. Poverty contributes to crime. Therefore, abortion reduces
crime. Unfortunately, the government in the USA does not support abortion for poor people.
A serious defect in an embryo gives additional reasons for its termination. For example, Down
syndrome is a severe congenital disorder that is a major cause of mental retardation, worldwide.
(Cozic 138) Fortunately, fetal testing (with abortion) can prevent it. If the couple with a defective
embryo is

Proddatur, India tmukthar@gmail.com Abstract: Detection engines capable of inspecting packet
payloads for application layer network information are urgently required. The most important
technology for fast payload inspection is an efficient multipattern matching algorithm, which
performs exact string matching between packets and a large set of predefined patterns. This paper
proposes a novel Enhanced Hierarchical Multipattern Matching Algorithm (EHMA) for packet
inspection. Based on the occurrence frequency of grams, a small set of the most frequent grams is
discovered and used in the EHMA. EHMA is a two tier and cluster wise matching algorithm, which
significantly reduces the amount of external memory accesses and the capacity of memory. Using a
skippable scan strategy, EHMA speeds up the scanning process. Furthermore, independent of
parallel and special functions, EHMA is very simple and therefore practical for both software and
hardware implementations. Simulation results reveal that EHMA significantly improves the
matching performance. The speed of EHMA is about 0.89 1,161 times faster than that of current
matching algorithms. Even under real life intense attack, EHMA still performs well.

People shouldn t be determined by the way they look. Not being white doesn t mean you can t

of another or better form of communication. Minority majority on shows how mixed the world is
and how so many people feel that race doesn t portray who you are.
This trend only offends those who minorities. It only reduces social problems because it allows
people to disrespect others by basically calling them out of their names. To make things better
everyone has to be on the same page as far as communication goes. Categorizing one another as
the same regardless of the color of our skin will reduce more than Minority Majority by creating
a movement towards making a difference in the world. If the current trend remains the way it is
whites will become less than 50 percent of the population by 2042(Tom Jacobs). Coming up with

along with Todd Matchett and Scott Curtis deactivated the power to an elderly couple s store and
broke inside. It was here that the three men brutally beat John Glendenning and his wife Mary
before they fled the scene. After Mary managed to find out that they d beaten her husband to death.
She managed to crawl up the stairs so that she could call 911. Shortly after the three men were
captured by law enforcement officials. It had been Machett who confessed and consequently...

Giving him plenty of time to commit four additional murders around Chatham New Brunswick and
Newcastle. On May 29th 1989, Legere brutally beat and raped sisters, Annie and Nina Flam.
Although Nina survived her injuries, her sister Annie passed away from the extent of hers. After
this assault, on October 13th 1989, Allan Legere entered the home of Donna and Linda Daughney.
In which he sexually assaulted them. Both victims were beaten to death inside their own home,
and then Legere set fire to the house as he left. November 24th 1989, included the discovery of
Catholic Priest James Smith who was beaten to death inside his church. Fortunately, for the
individuals of New Brunswick Legere was found and recaptured the same day.
In addition to his original sentence for the second degree murder of John Glendenning, Legere
happens to be serving nine years for escaping custody, kidnapping, and common assault. In addition
to four accounts of first degree murder.
A number of people constantly feared everything that might happen if Legere were to escape once

Quebec. Later on in 2015, at the age of 67 Allan Legere was transferred to the Edmunton Institution,

Database Security. This paper contains all relevant material which aligns with the mission of this
course to teach students the tools and techniques required to secure and audit a database system in
the information technology era.
Abstract As discussed in her book Introduction to Private Security author Karen M. Hess states that
security is something which people have sought since the beginning of recorded time. For instance,

Introduction Computer Information Systems (CIS) have forever altered the way in which
organizations conduct business. No longer is commerce managed through clunky and expensive
paper based transactions. The advantage of this archaic process, though, was that it allowed
corporations to store their documents in secure locations under tight lock key. Today however,
these cabinets have been replaced with database systems. Database systems are the modern
version of filing cabinets, which house the vast data transacted by corporations. Although
databases have eliminated the need for paper based transactions, they have exposed themselves
to a different problem altogether. As SANS (2015) puts it, most of an organization s information
[today] is maintained in a small, central location, compared to the large file rooms associated
with the pre information technology era, therefore those desiring to cause harm to a large amount
of information in a short time span now have a convenient means to do so. Because of this
paradigm shift, IT professionals should enforce modern database security auditing policies in
order to protect data. But are organizations under attack? Well a shocking statistic by Gartner
shows that, 75% attacks come from web applications and 2/3rd of web applications are vulnerable.
And as per OWASP, 2013, SQLInjection based attacks are in the top 10 since the past few years.
These numbers are startling, and demonstrate

All objects withstand changes in their state of motion. Without an unbalanced force, an object in motion will maintain this state of motion His second law states that The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to, and in the same direction as, the net force acting on the body, and inversely proportional to its mass. Thus, F = ma, where F is the net force acting on the object, m is the mass of the object and a is the acceleration of the object. This law implicates that heavier objects require more force to move the same distance as lighter objects. Newton s third and final law tells us When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to that of ... • 15. The Superhero Genre Is Classified By A Fight Of Good Vs. Evil The superhero genre is classified by a fight of good vs. evil. The heroes and the villains are complex characters driven by motives that are not always black and white. Besides dealing with fictional characters, superhero comic books often incorporate real life difficulties, such as racism, sexism, and drug use. The storylines are driven by the superheroes fight against the forces of evil, but the underlying story often deals with conflicting moral dilemmas and self doubt. The superheroes have secret identities and strut around in colorful costumes, but behind these personas, lay a story of triumph and defeat. The true appeal of comics is not the colorful character who follows it but the dark, gritty storylines that cause the reader to view the world and humanity in a new light. In Batman#134 , written in 1960 by Bill Finger, a few of these requirements are addressed. This comic follows Batman and Robin s adventure in an undisclosed South American republic. The major conflict lies with a man named Diaz, who releases a monster known as The Rainbow Creature. This creature terrorizes the village until Batman uses his world class detective skills to defeat the beast. The storyline is quickly wrapped up in a span of nine pages, and the childish tone of the comic causes the intrigue of the story to be lost on the reader. On the other hand, Batman: Ego, written by Darwyn Cooke in 2000, deals with the harsh atmosphere of Gotham. The comic tells the story of a wounded Batman and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Such were the environmentalists rallying cries that brought about the Endangered Species Act of 1973. By adopting the Endangered Species Act, Americans have adopted a simple value theory, when it comes to dealing with other life forms. This theory is simply pleasure is good and pain is evil. According to this theory, under the Endangered Species Act, the extinction of any species that would bring pain to ourselves is to be saved and those that do not hamper our consciences can be done away with. This is evident from the modern viewpoint of the caretakers and enforcers of the Endangered Species Act, the Fish Wildlife Services. According to them the Endangered Species Act of 1973, holds that endangered and threatened species of animal and plants are of esthetics, ecological, educational, historical, recreational, and scientific value to the nation and its people (Fish Wildlife Service,1989). Even advertisements and public educational programs to save endangered species, only point out the value of certain species to mankind. Nowhere is it said that a species should be preserved for intrinsic values and its right to exist in the world. Introduction Soccer is a sport that s very challenging and during the course of this semester I ve found physics can also be described as challenging. As far as I was concerned soccer and physics were both challenging and that was all they had in common, consequently upon researching them both this semester I found that I was wrong. For me this was nothing new because I ve found that physics isn t a subject that can be skimmed, but rather it has to be studied to the finest detail. Those small details if missed can make all your efforts worthless. Or on the positive side understanding those details can make your efforts worth it in the end. And in soccer if you understand the physics, which to most players ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Defensively in soccer speed is sometimes slowed down and skilled footwork may be needed. How a player uses speed or velocity depends on the situation, but if just one isn t done skillfully a player may not end up making the play as planned. III. Distance The distance that you are able to kick the ball can be summed up with the equation for distance, d=RT, distance equals rate multiplied by the time. So speed and time are both very important when kicking the ball because it directly affects the distance. Soccer players vary the distances that they want to kick the ball. Skilled players can estimate very quickly how fast to make the ball move to make it go where they need it to. Before learning this equation in physics I just thought you kicked the ball, but now I know that when this equation is applied to soccer it means so much more. Soccer players can use this to help them judge how hard and fast they need to be able to kick the ball to make it go a certain distance. This is just another example of how physics, the small details, can be used to improve ones soccer skills. IV. Momentum Momentum can be defined as the product of the inertial mass and the velocity, p=mv (Kirkpatrick, 106). When relating this equation to soccer it can be directly interchanged with the mass of the player and their speed/direction. So a player must be not only quick, but have the mass to gain the momentum needed. When the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Abortion, which is a deliberate termination of pregnancy, is one of the most important practical applications of that issue. Life on Earth is threatened with destruction from overpopulation and the poverty that overpopulation causes. Fortunately, abortion can prevent overpopulation. The question about whether abortion shouldbe done is primarily the question about whether the embryo or fetus is a person. In most cases, the embryo weighs less than 100grams: less than 10% of human brain. Abortion should be legal since it is useful and since humans become conscious after birth, not before. Not creating a person is not immoral: When people are not having sex, they are not creating a person. If the society has an optimum population, the net benefit (benefit minus harm) of an extra person will on average be zero. Practical Effects of Abortion The world has a problem of overpopulation, not under population. The environmental problems occur largely because too many people exist and strain the natural resources. Thus, not creating an extra person is on average good for the society. (If creating a person would on average be good, then more people should be created, and the population size is too small, not too large.) In abortion, when a mother chooses not to create a person, the person is unwanted and thus probably should not be created. Much of the poverty found throughout the world is caused by having too many children. Abortion prevents that and thus reduces poverty. Poverty contributes to crime. Therefore, abortion reduces crime. Unfortunately, the government in the USA does not support abortion for poor people. A serious defect in an embryo gives additional reasons for its termination. Packet Inspection Using a Hierarchical Pattern Matching Algorithm T. .Mukthar Ahamed Academic Consultant Dept. of CSE YSR Engineering College of YVU Proddatur, India tmukthar@gmail.com Abstract: Detection engines capable of inspecting packet payloads for application layer network information are urgently required. The most important technology for fast payload inspection is an efficient multipattern matching algorithm, which performs exact string matching between packets and a large set of predefined patterns. This paper proposes a novel Enhanced Hierarchical Multipattern Matching Algorithm (EHMA) for packet inspection. Based on the occurrence frequency of grams, a small set of the most frequent grams is discovered and used in the EHMA. EHMA is a two tier and cluster wise matching algorithm, which significantly reduces the amount of external memory accesses and the capacity of memory. Using a skippable scan strategy, EHMA speeds up the scanning process. Furthermore, independent of parallel and special functions, EHMA is very simple and therefore practical for both software and hardware implementations. Simulation results reveal that EHMA significantly improves the matching performance. The speed of EHMA is about 0.89 1,161 times faster than that of current matching algorithms. Even under real life intense attack, EHMA still performs well. Index Terms Inspection, Detection, pattern matching, network security, signatures. 1. Introduction: A variety of ... No longer is commerce managed through clunky and expensive paper based transactions. The advantage of this archaic process, though, was that it allowed corporations to store their documents in secure locations under tight lock key. Today however, these cabinets have been replaced with database systems. Database systems are the modern version of filing cabinets, which house the vast data transacted by corporations. Although databases have eliminated the need for paper based transactions, they have exposed themselves to a different problem altogether. As SANS (2015) puts it, most of an organization s information [today] is maintained in a small, central location, compared to the large file rooms associated with the pre information technology era, therefore those desiring to cause harm to a large amount of information in a short time span now have a convenient means to do so. Because of this paradigm shift, IT professionals should enforce modern database security auditing policies in order to protect data. But are organizations under attack?
