Job Stress Essay
Over the past few decades, many people are hearing more about job related stress. With many
households depending on duel incomes, people are working more and having less leisure time. Many
claim that job stress has contributed to such illnesses as heart disease, depression, gastric problems,
exhaustion, and many other related illnesses.
This paper will focus on the background issues surrounding stress; as well as, the steps that need to be
taken by one amp;#8217;s self and the employer.
According to The Random House Dictionary, stress is defined as amp;#8220;physical, mental, or
emotional tension. ; Job stress occurs when demands are imposed upon the workers in which they can
not meet those demands, or when there are not

Sometimes, the stress symptoms will disappear or lessen (Bensahel et al.,
1984, p. 135).
The first stage of stress is mild and usually is accompanied by amp;#8220;1. Great zest 2. Unusually
acute perception
3. Excessive nervous energy and ability to accomplish more
King 3 work than usual ; (Bensahel et al., 1984, p. 135). During this stage, it is so pleasant that they
want to maintain it.
Unfortunately, it must be considered an early warning sign that energy reserves are being drawn down
(Bensahel et al.,
1984, p. 135).
During the second stage of recognizing stress, some of the more unpleasant effects begin to appear.
Energy reserves usually do not last through the day. Some of the symptoms include tiredness early in
the day, heart flutters and/or disturbance of bowel and stomach functions, tightness occurring in back
and head muscles, and not being to relax
(Bensahel et al., 1984 p. 136).
Tiredness becomes more apparent in the third stage.
There is more disturbance in bowel functions as well as stomach pain. Muscles become more tight and
there is an increased feeling of tenseness. Individuals usually experience sleep problems and have a
feeling of faintness.
For individuals suffering stress to this stage, medical attention is advisable. Unless one reduces the
demands causing stress, more serious problems will arise in the later stages (Bensahel et al., 1984 p.
136).

Designing And Performing A Procedure
Title: Designing and Performing a Procedure Used to Determine the Percent of Water in a Hydrate
Objective: To determine the chemical formula for the Mystery Hydrate
Problem: Determining the formula for the Mystery Hydrate
Variables:
Independent Variable (IV)
What percent water is the Mystery Hydrate
Dependent Variable (DV)
The amount of hydrate left after heating
Introduction
Hydrates are substances that include water in their formula. The water is not actually part of the
chemical substance and this is reflected in the way the formula is written (ChemTeam, 2016). An
example of a hydrate is beryllium sulfate tetrahydrate, which is written like: BeSO4· 4H2O. All
hydrates follow the same formula format; with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Baroque Vs Renaissance Music
Every culture and civilization has been impacted in one way or another by music. Music is a universal
phenomenon that continues to grow and develop still to this day. There are millions of people who
connect to music in some way. Some individuals simply enjoy listening to music, others enjoy playing
it, and there are some people who look deep into the trends, history, and evolution of music. In this
paper, I chose to do a comparison on the renaissance and baroque period; to analyze the differences
between the renaissance and baroque musically and socially. Both time periods impacted the
development of music and social tendencies in a crucial way.
The Renaissance was a period in history from the 14th to the 17th century. The term Renaissance
Music refers to the music composed and written during the Renaissance era. These compositions were
a huge impact on music following this time period. The Renaissance era of music began in 1440 C AD
and lasted until 1600 C AD. Through this period rhythms were buoyant, and medieval counterpoints
were further developed by renaissance composers to create fugues. A fugue is a contrapuntal
composition in which a short melody or phrase is introduced by one part and successively taken up by
others and developed by interweaving the parts. Fugues are a very popular technique still to this day,
and were used more and more through the Baroque period. The new counterpoint that was introduced
based on preference for consonance, including thirds and

Essay on Individuality in Korean Art
Individuality in Korean Art
Considering the ancient art of Korea, unfortunately, not much is known. The country of Korea has
been constantly shaped and reshaped by existing civilizations, namely, China. Korea s vulnerability
geographically, has made Korea constantly throughout history open to many influences namely China.
Despite this overwhelming influx of alien influence from China, Korea s art forms indeed had
maintained it s individuality. The Chinese and Korean peoples are very different; ethnically, and
culturally. Therefore, even though Korea did attempt to mimic styles from the Chinese, it still
maintained it s overall individualistic forms. In my paper I would like to emphasize the marked

Shamanism, a religion indigenous to the Korean people, was formed thereby influencing early Korean
art, and is to remain influential throughout Korean history up to present history.
Trading with China started at about 100 BC. Up to this time, Korean art remained distinctly different
from its massive neighbor. Korean art reflected or was categorized, prior to Chinese influence, as
Scytho Siberian style. A style that is indigenous in the country of Scythia, near the Black and Aral
Seas). The artifacts consist of small portable metal artifacts made out of metal, such as weapons, horse
fittings, belt buckles, taking on the shape of animals.(3, Moes) Because the early Korean people were
nomadic, their art took on the shape of everyday life, like riding on horses, etc. Korean art had
changed even more by the pushing Hsuing Nu tribes, or the Huns, a Turkish speaking tribe, that
introduced to the Korean people, Iron and Bronze into their daily needs and warfare, and ultimately,
into their art. Then trade started with China and escalated, way into the modern period. One sees
appropriations of Chinese culture and Korean culture. A belt hook, in the shape of a horse, found in Lo
Lang, Korea, typically is hound in China. Here the beginning influence of Chinese art is seen in this
piece. The Chinese civilization in Korea, Lolang, opened the door for the influx o Chinese culture.

Consumer Goods Classification
Introduction:
The classification of goods (physical products) is essential to business because it provides a basis for
determining the strategies needed to move them through the marketing system.
The two main forms of classifications are consumer goods and industrial goods.
We are interested in this paper to elaborate more on Consumer Goods Classification only.
Consumer Goods:
Consumer goods are defined as goods that are bought from retail stores for personal, family, or
household use.
Or, they can also be defined as:
Products intended for use or consumption by individuals, as opposed to organizations, companies or
businesses.
Consumer goods are generally divided into subcategories according to the method by which they are

For price based shopping goods, consumers judge product attributes to be similar and look around for
the least expensive item/store. Consumers will exert effort in searching for information, because
shopping goods are bought infrequently. Hyundai Automobile and store brand clothes are marketed as
price based shopping goods.
Because customers are going to shop for these goods, a fundamental strategy in establishing stores
that specialize in them is to locate near similar stores in active shopping areas, in other words,
shopping goods require selective distribution. Ongoing strategies for marketing shopping goods
include the heavy use of advertising in local media, including newspapers, radio, and television.
Advertising for shopping goods is often done cooperatively with the manufacturers of the goods.
Specialty Goods: Specialty goods are items that are unique or unusual at least in the mind of the buyer.
Buyers know exactly what they want and are willing to exert considerable effort to obtain it. These
goods are usually, but not necessarily, of high value, and they may or may not be durable goods. They
differ from shopping goods primarily because price is not the chief consideration. Often the attributes
that make them unique are brand preference (e.g., a certain make of automobile) or personal
preference (e.g., a food dish prepared in a specific way). Other items that fall into this category are
wedding dresses, antiques, fine jewelry, and golf

The Article On The Right Of Die Still Seems More Theory...
The article of THE RIGHT TO DIE STILL SEEMS MORE THEORY THAN PRACTICE takes a pro
side of the right to die. Due to the problems of protecting the patient from abuse (from ones who
might want the patient dead or prolonging life for ulterior motives), and the decisions and views of
ethics are being made from a professional who may or may not know the patient or their family. These
decisions such as quality of life are being defined and made by society. It seems as though that the
theory is the battle over the patients rights, and the practice is the battle to enforce them. This battle is
catapulted from the fear of liability (civil and criminal), from the institutes and the doctors. These
situations usually leave the patient powerless.
HOW HAS THE TECHNOLOGY AND CAPABILITIES OF MEDICINE AFFECTED THE
DEBATE?
Since the advancement of technology and capability of medicine, the debate has risen to a level of
which it can t be ignored. The fact of prolonging someone s life has to be a factor since it is a
possibility of prolonging it comfortably. Before there were advancement of technology and capability
of medicine most American died at home, with their love ones around and family doctors which would
provide comfort and solace, also in some occasion the doctor would give an extra dose of morphine
for the pain or to help asses in death.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO REVERSE DEATH AND HOW SHOULD THAT ENTER INTO THE
DEBATE?

Walton Art s Center relied on a growth strategy to increase the organizations revenues. Walton focused
on overcoming the downfall, by implementing internal growth through ticket sales (Todd White,

Wendell Ford Informational Piece
Wendell Ford Informational Piece Wendell Ford was born on September 8, 1924 in Daviess County,

Kentucky. Two years later, Ford enlisted in the army and served for two years before his honorable
discharge in the summer of 1946 and continued to serve in the National Guard until 1962
(Quisenberry). He married Jean Neel on September 18, 1943; he has two children and five
grandchildren (Kentucky). In 1965 Ford ran for the state senate edging out a win by only 305 votes. In
this, his only state senate term, he introduced twenty two pieces of legislation that were ratified and
became laws. Two years later Ford became Lt. Governor and in 1971 went on to serve as Kentucky s
49th governor (Cross). As governor, Wendell Ford created a budget surplus by passing a severance tax
on coal, a two cent per gallon tax on gasoline, and an increase in the corporate tax rate. He used this
surplus to remove the state sales tax on food, implement several construction projects, sharply
increase funding for higher education, and local public schools. With the large budget surplus, Ford
proposed several construction projects and sharply increased funding for higher education, the public
schools, and human resources (Regional Training Center). By reorganizing and combining several
executive departments, he created super cabinets, Ford saving the state more money and making the

Parasites In The Stories Of Franz Kafka
Franz Kafka was born to a middle class Jewish family that was plagued with tragedy because of the
Nazi s reign of terror during World War II. Living during this extremely parasitic period in history, the
theme would become the basis throughout the stories of Kafka. A parasite is defined by The Merriam
Webster Dictionary as something that resembles a biological parasite in dependence on something else
for existence or support without making a useful or adequate return. When reading the definition of
parasite, one who has read any one of Kafka s stories could most likely attribute parasitism as a central
theme in the stories.
Kafka had a very difficult relationship with his parents, more so his father than his mother. His father
had an authoritative personality that often controlled the Kafka home. His father had an impact on the
characters traits in his [Kafka s] writing. That being said, his characters usually had overbearing
power. These individuals, or sometimes parasites, could break the will of men and destroy their sense
of self worth. His mother was a stay at home mother who did not have the intellectual experience to
understand her son s dreams of becoming a writer. She was a parasite to Kafka himself. His family
was the major theme generator in his writings. He used his family and events in his early life to
establish a rather unknown theme of parasites in his writings. Franz Kafka had, metaphorically
speaking, parasites ruling his life. His father was a parasite

With the gradual advent of manufacturing 4.0 however, challenges will continue to increase for
emerging economies. Over the last few decades, these countries have exploited their cheap labor and
natural resources to get global companies to manufacture on their land. However, with intelligent and
smart machines, the industry will require fewer, but more qualified workers to operate on
manufacturing lines. Lack of skilled workers in these countries will ultimately drive jobs back to the
developed nations like the US, UK and Germany. Businesses and institutions will need to analyze
where they could compete in a situation where previous advantages are gradually going away. Another
concern is jobs. Advanced manufacturing will require a highly skilled worker to deal with robots,
which in the years to come, will be able to make their own decisions. The workers will need to be
highly proficient at soft skills, critical thinking and even technical skills. In order to cope up with these
requirements, a complete revamp of the educational syllabus will be required. Challenges associated

Hills Like White Elephants Symbolism
Throughout the course of each person s life, the journey for life appreciation is tested. Many paths are
taken to find the value of it, but when found, it includes the decisions of choosing what s valuable.
Ernest Hemingway Hills like White Elephants is a short story that reveals people s unseen
appreciation for life. As suggested by the title this literary story fits into sub genre realistic fiction,
showing people s different approaches for appreciation. Taking place in 1927, this story focuses on a
young couple who face a big decision in their relationship. On their trip towards Madrid, they stop at a

of aborting the baby or terminate their relationship by keeping it. Ernest Hemingway exposes the

Causes Of Vladimir Lenin
Vladimir Lenin was a Marxian idealist who devoted the majority of his adult life to bringing about a
Socialist state in Russia. His years committed to the cause would culminate in the October Revolution
of 1917, during which the Lenin led Bolshevik party would seize upon a weakened political regime
and institute themselves as the ruling authority of Russia. With Lenin leading the Bolshevik party,
eager to usher in the doctrine he had faithfully subscribed to and expounded upon for decades, his
dream of a Russian Socialist state was now a humbling yet exciting reality. How, then, did such a
Marxian purist fall well short of the utopian vision promised by his political ideology? Lenin s
inability to successfully implement the policies which would bring about the ever elusive socialist
utopia can be directly attributed to a variety of factors stemming from three root causes. The first, and
most damning, predictor of imminent failure was that, though Russia was ripe for revolution at the
time of the Bolshevik takeover, the economy of Russia was not yet ripe for the implementation of
Socialist ideals and practices. The second and third root causes of Lenin s ultimate failure are
byproducts of the issues that arose from the initial root cause just stated. Due to the impracticality of
full scale implementation of Socialist policies in Russia at the time, Lenin made the reprehensible,
though practical, choice to utilize dictatorial tactics of repression and force, often by way of

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Speed Control Of Induction...
Abstract The three phase squirrel cage induction motor is the most widely used motor type in the
industry because of its good self starting capability, simple and rugged structure, low cost and
reliability. In spite of this popularity, the induction motor has two basic limitations: (i) The standard
motor is not a true constant speed machine, its full load slip varies from less than 1% (in high
horsepower motors) to more than 5% (in fractional horsepower motors), and (ii) It is not inherently
capable of providing variable speed operation. The limitations of induction motor can be solved
through the use of adjustable speed control method of induction machine. In this paper, various
method of speed control of induction motor drive are presented. ... Show more content on

Switching power converters offer an easy way to regulate both the frequency and magnitude of the
voltage and current applied to a motor shown in fig(1). As a result much higher efficiency and
performance can be achieved by these motor drives with less generated noises[3]. Figure 1 Variable
Voltage Variable Frequency Control Schematic The most common principle of this kind is the constant
V/Hz principle which requires that the magnitude and frequency of the voltage applied to the stator of
a motor maintain a constant ratio. By doing this, the magnitude of the magnetic field in the stator is
kept at an approximately constant level throughout the operating range. Thus, (maximum) constant
torque producing capability is maintained. When transient response is critical, switching power
converters also allow easy control of transient voltage and current applied to the motor to achieve
faster dynamic response. II. METHODS OF SPEED CONTROL OF INDUCTION MOTOR

Hypertension ( Htn ) Is A Major Public Health Issue...
Hypertension (HTN) is a major public health issue affecting 70 million African American males in the
United States (CDC,2015) and predisposing them to cardiovascular diseases (Scranton, Goldstein,
Stecher, 2013). The WHO (2013) defines HTN as a systolic blood pressure of equal or greater than
140 mm/Hg or a diastolic blood pressure of equal or greater than 90 mm/ Hg. In addition, a large
portion of patient s diagnosed with HTN also have a diagnosis of erectile dysfunction (ED), both of
which when left untreated can have a negative impact on quality of life. ED has been defined by
Adebusoye et al., (2012), the lack of sufficient sexual intercourse due to inability of a penile erection
in male. Compounding the high incidence of HTN and ED among African American males, is the
problem of non adherence to prescribed anti hypertensive medications. Real or perceived ED
associated with the adverse side effects of anti hypertensive medications is a chief reason for non
adherence to anti hypertensive medications among males (Kakkavas et al., 2013). This research study
will use The Health Belief Model to investigate the correlation between African American males with
dual diagnoses of HTN and ED who are non adherent to anti hypertensive medications. More
specifically, this study will scrutinize the adverse side effects of anti hypertensive medications in
relation to complications of untreated HTN, one of which is ED. The results of this study could be

Pygmalion Essay
The distinctive voices, characteristic in any text/s, can be deconstructed to develop an understanding
which may validate, challenge or disprove society s values and/or beliefs within a given context.
Language, in all its forms, is a human thing, and allows the traces or imprints of human use, not
inherently but in its use. A text may promote obvious distinction between the authorial voice and
character s viewpoint. This can be seen in the play of Pygmalion in by George Bernard shaw and the
film Pleasantville directed by Gary Ross. Both of these texts show distinctive voices through dialogue

he is Eliza s tutor. He Is an expert in phonetics and is very proud of his skill and his ability to

public. This is evident in Act III when he was rude to the hostess saying: fearful bore for you this sort
of thing. Forgive my part in it . However he is most rough with Eliza. His voice is characterised by the
severe tone, high volume and use of profanity or insults. He also uses a harsh tone, particularly when
talking to Eliza e.g You won my bet! You! Presumptuous insect!/ I won it. In this quote he uses
exclamations, repetition and italics to show his emotion. This quote uses exclamations and repetition of

anger but also create the sense that she is small and meaningless. This quote shows his inability to
acknowledge that eliza worked hard for the bet. Damn Mrs.pearce ; and damn the coffee; and damn

my regard and intimacy on a heartless guttersnipe . At this point Mr.Higgins has truly lost his temper.

American Born Chinese Book Report
In the book American Born Chinese, Gene Luen Yang gives us an entertaining story of a common
simple goal to fit in. The book being intended for a middle school audience; it does an outstanding job
of relating to adults as well in many ways. Reading the book has taught and reminded me of many
things. Such as; accepting yourself, being who you are, and not changing for others. These goals are
helpful when you re getting situated in a new environment. Not only does Yang relate to middle school
students, but to a variety of readers in many age levels and not just one in particular. My impression
on the book was very positive. I loved how amusing it was, funny, and at the same time teaches a
lesson in each different story it tells. The book is written in a comic book like theme. I enjoyed how
universal it could also be, because it explains issues of stereotypes. No matter what race or ethnic you

The 1994 Documentary, Hoop Dreams, directed by Steve James, is a masterful display of human

In contrast with interviews that James conducts as a source or witness, in which he sets the mise en

shaky camera technique to solidify his position as the eye looking into their world. During panning or
other establishing shots, narrated sequences, and interviews with characters, a tripod is used to
separate those moments from the story. Although not entirely non diegetic, the interviews are spaces in
the film shot outside of the story. The audience is given confirmation of how William and Arthur must

Essay about Racist Positivism in Latin America
The mutability of the postcolonial relationship between Indians and the republics becomes most
apparent after 1850. The ideals of liberty and equality went astray in the late nineteenth century being
destabilized by an upswing of another form political policy, liberalism. This liberalism was
interwoven with racism and sexism, and colored by positivist interpretations of science, society and
knowledge that were becoming common currency in Western Europe.
In order to understand the reaction to liberal policies of native populations in the late nineteenth and
early twentieth century, it is important to focus on the scientific method that was applied to social

The elites believed themselves to be closer to the progressive goal of European whiteness and that the
lower classes did not have the racial purity necessary to participate in national progress. The theory of
scientific racism was also used to justify the heavy handed, often violent treatment of the peasant
population. After all, the theory of positivism contended that the peasants were a lower race, and
justified exploitation under the guise of supervision and regulation. Positivism was especially suited to
reform because of its practical, disciplinary, and authoritarian inclinations (Larson p.64). The elites
plan to transform the republic into a better nation was part of a larger plan to put themselves on the
same progressive track as other European nations.
The Creole elite of Colombia were the first among the Andean republics to associate economic
retardation with the concept of racial weakness (Larson p.75). The convergence of postcolonial
concepts of class and race were used to blame poverty and misery on the victim, through fault of their
inferior race (Larson p.81). In Colombia, the liberal elite s plan to transform society into a more
progressive state was to gradually blend any kind of indigenous or African race with white European
immigrants, therefore whitening the population as a whole. The main source of the whitening
population was to come from European immigrants brought in to fill the gap left by the

The Importance Of Teaching For The Success Of The Team And...
Coaching has become more than just instructions, the expectations of creating leaders is now just as
important as performance. The education that goes into shaping coaches today takes creativity and
new technology to stay current with the ever changing landscape of sports.
The importance of educating coaches is vital to the success of the team and the athletes involved.
Having a strong foundation to build the team on starts with a coach who has taken the time to learn
about all the resources available to have more tools to teach. Everyone has a role to play in achieving
a successful team. Establishing an information flow that starts at the top, and reaches the bottom will
be the key in providing an educational environment. This information flow only works if the
information flows back up. It takes a certain type of person to inspire and motivate a group of
professionals. One needs to learn how to follow to become a great leader. Translating information to
function is a talent not everyone can do, that is why there are just a handful of hall of fame coaches.
There are several methods that will improve the education in coaching. There are three topics that will
give the best opportunity to have a greater impact on the improvement for not just the coach, but the
athletes who play a game they love. The first crucial aspect in improving coaching is knowing what
the future has in store for changes within society, identities of coaches along with athletes, and the

Our Comprehensive Synthesis Of Available Evidence Showed A...
Our comprehensive synthesis of available evidence showed a strong association between the LISA and
the risk of late/very late ST and MI during the post imaging follow up. The low incidence of ST events
over 18,145 person months follow up (≈1.4% ST per person year) in LISA group explains the limited
power of previous studies evaluating this association. Our results are consistent with a prior meta
analysis of five studies which found LISA to be associated with increased risk of late ST (OR = 6.51;
95% CI 1.34 34.91)(13). We extended these findings by including 11 additional studies and longer
follow up of previous studies published subsequently. Also, we accounted for variable follow up
period of included studies by using person months as offset rather than the number of patients in each
group. Moreover, as recommended in literature (17 18), we used multiple statistical methods as part of
our sensitivity analysis to assess the robustness of our findings. Our finding stood the test of these
sensitivity analysis confirming a strong association between LISA ( and LAISA) and late/very late ST.
Although we found a significant association between LISA and clinical events (ST and MI), our
results do not establish a cause and effect relationship. The two cohorts, LISA and control, were
unbalanced on one or more characteristics in all included studies. For instance, LISA group had longer

Comparing The Bluest Eye And Lamar s Black Is Beautiful
Black Is Beautiful is a cultural movement that was created by African American communities in the
United States. The fight for equal rights and more positive views on African Americans started in the
1960s when society would make negative judgments on them since the media believed that African
Americans were only good for being slaves. The novel The Bluest Eye (1970) by Toni Morrison and
the album To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar both show oppression through institutionalized
racism. The idea of Black Is Beautiful is influenced through Morrison s novel and Lamar s album by
using the themes of low self esteem / self hate and judgment beyond skin color.
One of the main themes in the novel The Bluest Eye is low self esteem / self hate. The author reveals
this theme through the character s actions and word choice. In The Bluest Eye, the author reveals how
Claudia feels about herself by explaining what she did to the blue eyed doll. She says, I fingered the
face, wondering at the single stroke eyebrows... I could not love it. But I could examine it to see what
it was that all the world said was lovable (Morrison 21). Another way low self esteem and self hate is

Romanticism In It Happened One Night

interesting and different in terms of social issues and also as filming and using technology at the time

It happened one night by Frank Capra, came out in depression era (1934) with its humor, sexiness and
wisdom characteristics. The movie tells a romantic story where a spoiled girl runs away from her rich
dad and falls in love with news reporter. American comedies of 1930s presented marriage and
courtship as a vaudeville act, and love is indeed equaled with role playing throughout It Happened
One Night . Donut dunking scene mid way through the movie shows a perfect example of
romanticism and shows the passion the two characters started to have toward one another. They fell in
love but did not sleep together until marriage and meanwhile until they get to New york they used the
famous blanket wall to keep the intensions away from someone just looking for sex and rather to
someone sweet and caring which made the audience fall more in love with the story. The movie also
shows the story taking place in depression era by showing a mother passing out from hunger and her
son telling the story of their hardship that makes viewer s grab at their heartstrings.

Understanding of the Self Essay
Understanding of the Self
INTRODUCTION The social constructionist perspective holds the view that the self is continuing
shaped and reshaped through interactions with others and involvement in social and cultural activities
(Wetherell Maybin, 1996, p 220). Social constructionist is concerned with explicating the processes by
which people come to describe, explain, or otherwise account for the world (including themselves) in
which they live (Gergen, 1971). Thus, the social constructionist approach implies that the self is
shaped by social interaction within historical, cultural and social contexts. Social constructionist s

Therefore, the argument as presented by the social constructionist view is that self identity is shaped
through a combination of interactions between the society and the individual (Wetherell and Maybin,
1996). An example to support would be social constructionist s Miller and Sperry whose finding
discovered connections in the emotions of a child s and his mother s. Thus they believe that this
finding proves that there is an internalisation and construction of one self through descriptive stories
and social distribution (Wetherell Maybin, 1996).
Both the social constructionist and the psychodynamic views adopt a hermeneutic epistemology,
which centers on the analysis of a person s actions, their fundamental influences and how the external
social world can be internalised and represented symbolically within an individual (Stevens, 1996).
However, there are key differences between the two views. The social constructionist applies a
societal study approach which converge the external society and the social relationships within it. This
implying that the self is built up and continually developed through multiple social networks
(Sapsford, 1996). On the other hand, psychodynamic theories applies psychoanalytical

Reflection On Clinical Evaluation
This semester, through the use of clinical evaluation, I have learned how to be a better clinician. To
clarify, I have learned how to evaluate the interventions, measurement choices, implementation of
interventions and data collection process I practice with my clients to better understand how my
clients are responding to therapeutic treatment. The first experience with regards to clinical evaluation
I had began when I was required to complete the first immersion program report. In order to better
understand my positionality with clinical evaluation it is important to know that this school year, I am
interning with Henry Ittleson Center as a day treatment therapist. Henry Ittleson Center is a day and
residential child treatment center located in the Riverdale area of the Bronx. The agency services
children between the ages of 5 to 13 who are diagnosed with severe emotional and behavioral
disorders and require special education services. As a result of clinical evaluation being such a long
process, for the sake of this paper, I will be focusing on apprehension moments I encountered when
completing my immersion report such as frustrations I faced with my agencies limited
objectives/goals selection, frustrations with diagnosing children, difficulties with measurement
selection, biased results and quick glance at the progress made by my client since I began to evaluate
my own practices. My experiences with clinical evaluation formally began when asked to complete
section one of the immersion report, which includes brief synopsis of client, target problem, goals and
objectives. Initially, I found it quite easy to list out the target problem, goals and objectives because in
essence, I was taking this information straight from the data base system we use in the agency to file
our reports. However, as I started to reflect on this process with my immersion partner, I realized that I
was not required or expected by my agency to ask my client or my client s family what they wanted
me to identify as my client s goals and objectives for the year. As I went back into the system, I
recognized that all the objectives and goals available on the AVATAR (system we use to keep our

How African Americans Are Portrayed On The Show Essay
I am a pretty big fan of reality TV because it entertains me. To see the lives of different celebrities, and
to see what they do and go through on a day to day basis, in my opinion, is worth tuning in to once a
week. Sometimes the stuff shown on reality TV be funny, but other times they can be rather
disappointing. TV station, VH1, is home to an abundance of reality television shows, however, very
few of those shows are more popular than the series Love and Hip Hop. Love and Hip Hop has been
going on for several seasons now, which obviously indicates there are many people that consistently
watch the show. The show may be very entertaining to watch, but the problem is how African
Americans are portrayed on the show.
VH1 over the years has taken advantage of people s flaws by televising them and profiting off the
entertainment these flaws provide. They have done it to people of various races, but no group is a
greater victim than blacks. I think it is safe to say that VH1 has aided in the negative image, and
stereotype that has been painted around people within the black community. While VH1 has played a
big part in this, I do not think anyone has played a bigger role on the image, and portrayal of black
people, than black people themselves.
When I watch these shows on VH1, its nearly inevitable to notice vast amount of outrages, and off the
wall things that occur each episode. Throughout the show you are liable to see anything from a man

Character Analysis of Ophelia in Hamlet by William...
Ophelia is completely virtuous and dependent on the men in her life, which is something I can identify
with. Of all the characters in the play Hamlet, the one I liked the most is Ophelia. Shakespeare
portrayed her beautifully and put all his emotions into Ophelia s character. Ophelia showed the exact
image of the majority of women from my home country. In the play Hamlet, Ophelia was the most
innocent, meek, but distraught character.
Ophelia was a young, innocent girl, who was spirited and was the age of daydreamers. Her dreams
were all about the young prince Hamlet; she believed he was the man for her. A little bit of attraction
seems like love to girls of her age. She was immature so she started to believe in Hamlet s love for her
and gave her untouched heart to him. Ophelia told Polonius, And hath given countenance to his
speech, my lord, with almost all the holy vows of heaven (I.iii.114). We have evidence that Ophelia
thought Hamlet really loved her. When her father asked her about Hamlet she replied, He hath, my
lord, of late made many tenders of his affection to me (I. iii. 100). Her heart always convinced her that
Hamlet loved her. While she was crazy, she admitted that Hamlet already used her and, due to her
innocence, she lost her virginity. She still was heartbroken that Hamlet thought that she was not loyal
to him. She wanted to say no to her father, when he asked Ophelia to spy on Hamlet but she could not

bring the mind to a state of panic when over loaded. A primary concern is the consequences of these
sociological stressors. Sociological stressors can involve inadequate relationship, school stress,
unhappy living situation and unhealthy work habits. All of these inevitably correlate with the mental
health of individuals who may not be able to cope comfortably, causing mental illness symptoms to
worsen. Being able to cope effectively with stressful situations can minimize the effects of stress on
individuals. Life events that interrupt an individual s usual activities and require some adjusting can be
considered a beginning stage of a mental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
College students are showing greater levels of stress, anxiety and depression, and signs show the trend
will become worse. The bottom line is that college students are already facing a mental health crisis.
To quote one source Statistical trends related to depression are hard to come by, but most experts agree
that depression rates in the United States and worldwide are increasing. (citation). Much of today s
research shows that college students today have greater levels of stress than any time in history. Stress
can be good if it motivates, but it s bad if it wears an individual down. Many factors can contribute to
the stress that one experiences, and this stress can cause changes in the body that affect an individual s
overall physical, mental, and emotional health. The ramifications of this kind of stress are affecting the
mental health of college students everywhere. Another social stress that can cause pressure on an
individual and cause mental health issues is an unhappy living situation. Families living in poverty can
suffer severe mental issues. This social issue is a common one that many people in today s society
face. The World Health Organization has described poverty as the greatest cause of

Music Paper Chapter 1
I. INTRODUCTION
I went to a concert held at Carnegie Hall in New York, New York, on Sunday, February 14, 2016. The
concert was performed by The Cleveland Orchestra. It was an all Mozart program conducted by
Mitsuko Uchida. The concert performed 3 pieces of Mozart s work: Piano Concerto No. 17,
Symphony No. 34 and Piano Concerto No. 25. I chose to focus on the last piece played in the concert
Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503.
II. BACKGROUND OF COMPOSITION The work is a concerto completed by Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart on December 4, 1786, and it is the last of the twelve great piano concertos written in Vienna
between 1784 and 1786. The concerto is one of Mozart s longest with a duration of about 33 ... Show

The orchestral sound felt liquid in nuance and Uchida balanced them with every phrase of her
performance. With the piano leading, the Cleveland Orchestra followed with the taste, vitality and
elegancy of Mozart and played with the charm through its delightful melodies and engaging writing. I
can especially sense the accents of trumpets and drums and enjoy how they brought a regal splendor
into the outer movements of the concerto. In the sway of her body, I was impressed by Uchida s
passion for her instrument; through her strokes of the keys, I understood her fervor about Mozart s
music. I can also feel a touching tenderness in Uchida s rendition of Mozart, manifesting her love for
the music.
V. CONCLUSION
Overwhelmingly beautiful is the description I would give to this enjoyable concert. When this team of
professionals, which includes a pianist, conductor and orchestra performed together, all three were
fully engaged in making the whole concert elegant. Even without professional music appreciation
knowledge, I still find Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503 embodies all that is elegant about
Mozart s sublime concerti and delivers very articulate understanding of Mozart s spirit in music. The
impersonal imagination and artistic delight brought by music is the most precious legacy left for us by
the great musicians like Mozart.

Maternity Leave Case Study
Many of these different employment laws interested me, however, the Family and Medical Leave Act
caught my eye. This is because I have a family member who just recently birthed a child. She received
the required amount of 12 weeks of maternity leave, as well as being granted an extra 6 weeks
additionally. So this kind of law made sense for me. Now just a little background on this employment
law, it was enacted in 1993 by President Bill Clinton. The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993
allows employees who have worked for a company for 1 year or more to apply for a period of unpaid
leave with no fear of losing their job. The law can be beneficial to an employee whose family member
has become ill, or they are needed to take care of a newborn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

employer over the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act takes place in the northern Indiana city of
Elkhart, Indiana. This case is officially referred to as Gilliam vs. United Parcel Service Inc., handed
down on November 29th, 2000. The court case document, that notes Gilliam, in full as Reginald
Gilliam, assumed that the Family and Medical Leave Act licensed him to be able to up to 120 days off
of work without obtaining any penalty. Mr. Gilliam also believed that he did not have to advise his
current employer of his schedule of return to work. There was apparently a miscommunication of
words between Mr. Gilliam and Mr. Gilliam s supervisor about the amount of time that Mr. Gilliam
would be out of the workplace for. This therefore created confusion and disagreements, leading to a
U.S. Circuit Courts decision. All in all, the court confirmed the official accord of Judge Robert L.
Miller. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and Judge Miller had their rulings
upheld, stating that Mr. Gilliam has the full responsibility to inform the company at least 30 days prior
to beginning the requested leave period. Mr. Gilliam failed to fulfill his legal obligations under the
Family and Medical Leave Act and therefore will now reap the repercussions of his failure to abide by

Piaget Of The Infant Cognitive Development Essay
Background
In the context of infant cognitive development and its corresponding theories, Jean Piaget often serves
as a key theorist. Often referred to with the metaphor of children as explorers, Piaget believed that
children, from the moment of birth, are actively engaging with and exploring their surrounding
environment. With his contributions to the psychological field, like his six stages of sensorimotor
development, we grasp a better understanding of a child s first encounters developmentally. One of his
most important accounts was on the concept of object permanence. He was able to provide a look into
infants understanding of the physical world (DeHart, Sroufe, Cooper, p. 168). In order to better
understand his account on object permanence however, one must be aware of his six stages of
sensorimotor development: Reflexes, Primary Circular Reactions, Secondary Circular Reactions,
Coordination of Schemes, Tertiary Circular Reactions, and Beginnings of Representational Thought,
which were largely influence through his experiments with his own children. The first stage, Reflexes,
occurs from birth to 1 month. During this stage, Piaget asserted, infants are limited to their biological,
programmed reflexes. He uses the term reflex in a much more broad sense in that he refers it as ... any
built in behavior pattern instead of automatic responses to particular stimuli (DeHart, Sroufe, Cooper,
p. 164). These built in behavior patterns are not only

Simon Farrah Abraham Character Analysis
Simon Saran is a forced to be reckoned with. His on again off again relationship with Farrah Abraham
has been documented through Teen Mom OG. The two are apparently off at the moment, though that
doesn t mean there isn t a reconciliation possible. Because Saran has been a huge part of the MTV
franchise, the show offered him his own special. This is a big deal because the ones who have been
offered the same have all been married to or have had children with the star they were attached to
while filming. Being Simon is set to air this coming Wednesday on MTV. It will be an hour long
special featuring Simon Saran in his everyday life. He confirmed this was coming back in June, but
Farrah Abraham shaded him when he mentioned it. The two have been hot and cold for several
months now. Saran is a businessman, and now, Abraham is back to selling sex. ... Show more content

According to Starcasm, Simon Saran and Courtland Rogers got into an insult match where one went a
little too far. Everyone knows that Twitter is the place where anything goes. Racial comments, insults,
and everything else can be seen on the platform with no enforcing of etiquette. Saran was going off
about Donald Trump being blamed for the Las Vegas massacre, and Rogers decided to have his say
with him. It appears that since Jenelle Evans no longer wants anything to do with Courtland, he is
really trying to stay relevant. Both men reverted to heavy insults, with Courtland Rogers insinuating
that Simon Saran was a terrorist with a tweet about hijacking a plane. Of course, Simon wasn t
innocent in the debate, but Courtland really went the whole nine yards with his comments. There is a
streak of jealousy there. Being Simon is airing this upcoming week and since Rogers no longer has
any connection to the show, there may be a little bitterness. The two exchanged a few more tweets and

Feminist Activity Book
For my creative project, I am designing a feminist activity book. The book will include games,
puzzles, coloring pages, word searches and more. Specifically, this book will outline how feminism
has progressed since the 1900 s starting with the first feminist wave until today as well as an outline of
the history of the different movements we have learned. The book will also include some of the
difficulties that women endure in today s society that we have discussed in class, such as unpaid
maternity leave or the wage gap. This also includes the different stereotypes, prejudice, and
discrimination women face in different aspects in their life (i.e. in the work place) by having the
audience complete different word searches and interactive puzzles.

Being Betrayed, Misunderstood, And Forgotten Had Never...
While trusting someone, the thought of being betrayed, misunderstood, and forgotten had never
crossed my mind. For example, I have a really had habit of putting my trust into people who are
unworthy of it. I hate that I ever put my trust in those people with such personal things in my life. As
bad habit of trusting people, it resulted in regretful decisions. One bad habit of regretfully trusting that
ended in a regretful decision was trusting Leonard because he took my friendship for granted and tried
to use me. Leonard and I met in the fourth grade, and we became best friends instantly. I could tell the
difference between our values throughout the years of our friendship. Leonard was basically spoiled
while I was not. Next, he began to complain about feeling it was beneath him. In my head, I thought
how anyone could be so ungrateful. Leonard was my best friend, so I trusted him to understand my
work situations. Until this one incident that pushed me over the edge with him. While I was away for
eight months at training, I expected for Leonard to understand that with hard work comes
responsibilities. He never thought of how it would affect me if I spent all of my hard earned money on
him. When returned from training, his hand was always out. As a best friend, I helped him when he
asked me for things, but began to regret that decision when he asked me for five hundred dollars to put
a down payment on a car. Army money only stretched so far because I am in a reserve unit. Even

Why I Learned The Piano
As a thirteen year old I could only watch game shows for so long, and that day I could not take
anymore. I couldn t sit still and needed to hear more than Steve Harvey and the Family Feud theme
song, so I wandered into her sitting room that always felt a little warmer than the rest of the house.
Sometimes I would sit on the couch by the window and feel the sun s heat hit my face and watch the
cars drive by. Sometimes I played with her giant record player, but vases covered it that day, so I went
to her old piano. Dust covered sheet music and instruction books filled the bench of the piano. I
flipped through them and found songs I knew, and I became determined. That day I decided I wanted
to learn the piano. Every day at the same time I would go in her sitting room and practice, and every
day she would listen and tell me how good a job I was doing. Some days she would even come play
with me. Every day of that summer looked exactly the same: sleep in the morning on the couch, have
lunch with my mom, and play piano in the afternoon. It did change on some days when my
grandmother would take me to the Baskin Robins down the street, and we d get ice cream, but I d
always practice when we got back. I convinced myself I would become a great pianist, but my left
hand never did anything. It never moved the same way my right hand did, but my grandmother never
said anything about it, she always encouraged me, no matter how bad my playing actually sounded.
I lost my drive for piano

Structure Process And Facility Layout
Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the Facility Layout
Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards
achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of transformation
processes, and each has particular facility layout. What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of
them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential.
Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them including job shop,
continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are
industries that offer a wide range of products and services. They can achieve diversity in possible
outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of this
transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve people with
nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar
layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed.
The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use a set of materials
and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this
transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc.,
and low skilled employees

Icic Case Study
Case: ICICI Bank Brand Building in Retail Banking
Situational Analysis
This case highlights the journey of ICICI Bank towards its establishment as a formidable brand in the
retail banking sector. Before ICICI, the banking sector was dominated by several state run
organizations. However, ICICI managed to identify its customer segments very aptly and design an
offering for each of these segments in order to maximize the value it offered to these customer
segments. Aimed at attracting young consumers to its retail banking operations through schemes such
as Chintamani and Jeete Raho campaign for its insurance business, ICICI was able to successfully
create a brand name for itself amongst its target customers. It also launched several well known ...

The top management must identify the exiting branding elements that must be removed and any new
ones that need to be added to increase the profit margin as well as the revenue. In the wake of the
global financial crisis, the earlier strategy of higher tolerance towards risky loans seemes to be itself a
risky proposition, and such elements needed to be removed from the brand offering of ICICI Bank.
2. The top management of ICICI Bank must also decide whether to opt for a corporate level brand
entity or a division level brand entity for the different functional departments of the ICICI bank. The
corporate level branding w=earlier adopted was to create a perception of a complete banking solutions
provider and in order to pomote cross selling. However the offering included lower fees for repeat
customers which had led to a significant decrease in the margins for ICICI Bank.
3. ICICI was inclined towards expanding globally to other countries after establishing a strong
foothold in India and had taken several actions to realize that goal. However, in the wake of the global
financial crisis, the top management must decide on whether it was the right time to engage in globl

Unfortunately, it must be considered an early warning sign that energy reserves are being drawn down (Bensahel et al., 1984, p. 135). During the second stage of recognizing stress, some of the more unpleasant effects begin to appear. Energy reserves usually do not last through the day. Some of the symptoms include tiredness early in the day, heart flutters and/or disturbance of bowel and stomach functions, tightness occurring in back and head muscles, and not being to relax (Bensahel et al., 1984 p. 136). Tiredness becomes more apparent in the third stage. There is more disturbance in bowel functions as well as stomach pain. Muscles become more tight and there is an increased feeling of tenseness. • 5. Baroque Vs Renaissance Music Every culture and civilization has been impacted in one way or another by music. Music is a universal phenomenon that continues to grow and develop still to this day. There are millions of people who connect to music in some way. Some individuals simply enjoy listening to music, others enjoy playing it, and there are some people who look deep into the trends, history, and evolution of music. In this paper, I chose to do a comparison on the renaissance and baroque period; to analyze the differences between the renaissance and baroque musically and socially. Both time periods impacted the development of music and social tendencies in a crucial way. The Renaissance was a period in history from the 14th to the 17th century. The term Renaissance Music refers to the music composed and written during the Renaissance era. These compositions were a huge impact on music following this time period. The Renaissance era of music began in 1440 C AD and lasted until 1600 C AD. Through this period rhythms were buoyant, and medieval counterpoints were further developed by renaissance composers to create fugues. A fugue is a contrapuntal composition in which a short melody or phrase is introduced by one part and successively taken up by others and developed by interweaving the parts. Fugues are a very popular technique still to this day, and were used more and more through the Baroque period. The new counterpoint that was introduced based on preference for consonance, including thirds and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For price based shopping goods, consumers judge product attributes to be similar and look around for the least expensive item/store. Consumers will exert effort in searching for information, because shopping goods are bought infrequently. Hyundai Automobile and store brand clothes are marketed as price based shopping goods. Because customers are going to shop for these goods, a fundamental strategy in establishing stores that specialize in them is to locate near similar stores in active shopping areas, in other words, shopping goods require selective distribution. Ongoing strategies for marketing shopping goods include the heavy use of advertising in local media, including newspapers, radio, and television. Advertising for shopping goods is often done cooperatively with the manufacturers of the goods. Specialty Goods: Specialty goods are items that are unique or unusual at least in the mind of the buyer. Buyers know exactly what they want and are willing to exert considerable effort to obtain it. These goods are usually, but not necessarily, of high value, and they may or may not be durable goods. They differ from shopping goods primarily because price is not the chief consideration. Often the attributes that make them unique are brand preference (e.g., a certain make of automobile) or personal preference (e.g., a food dish prepared in a specific way). • 17. Causes Of Vladimir Lenin Vladimir Lenin was a Marxian idealist who devoted the majority of his adult life to bringing about a Socialist state in Russia. His years committed to the cause would culminate in the October Revolution of 1917, during which the Lenin led Bolshevik party would seize upon a weakened political regime and institute themselves as the ruling authority of Russia. With Lenin leading the Bolshevik party, eager to usher in the doctrine he had faithfully subscribed to and expounded upon for decades, his dream of a Russian Socialist state was now a humbling yet exciting reality. How, then, did such a Marxian purist fall well short of the utopian vision promised by his political ideology? Lenin s inability to successfully implement the policies which would bring about the ever elusive socialist utopia can be directly attributed to a variety of factors stemming from three root causes. The first, and most damning, predictor of imminent failure was that, though Russia was ripe for revolution at the time of the Bolshevik takeover, the economy of Russia was not yet ripe for the implementation of Socialist ideals and practices. The second and third root causes of Lenin s ultimate failure are byproducts of the issues that arose from the initial root cause just stated. Due to the impracticality of full scale implementation of Socialist policies in Russia at the time, Lenin made the reprehensible, though practical, choice to utilize dictatorial tactics of repression and force, often by way of ... Abstract The three phase squirrel cage induction motor is the most widely used motor type in the industry because of its good self starting capability, simple and rugged structure, low cost and reliability. In spite of this popularity, the induction motor has two basic limitations: (i) The standard motor is not a true constant speed machine, its full load slip varies from less than 1% (in high horsepower motors) to more than 5% (in fractional horsepower motors), and (ii) It is not inherently capable of providing variable speed operation. The limitations of induction motor can be solved through the use of adjustable speed control method of induction machine. In this paper, various method of speed control of induction motor drive are presented. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Switching power converters offer an easy way to regulate both the frequency and magnitude of the voltage and current applied to a motor shown in fig(1). As a result much higher efficiency and performance can be achieved by these motor drives with less generated noises[3]. By doing this, the magnitude of the magnetic field in the stator is kept at an approximately constant level throughout the operating range. Thus, (maximum) constant torque producing capability is maintained. When transient response is critical, switching power converters also allow easy control of transient voltage and current applied to the motor to achieve faster dynamic response. II. ED has been defined by Adebusoye et al., (2012), the lack of sufficient sexual intercourse due to inability of a penile erection in male. Compounding the high incidence of HTN and ED among African American males, is the problem of non adherence to prescribed anti hypertensive medications. Real or perceived ED associated with the adverse side effects of anti hypertensive medications is a chief reason for non adherence to anti hypertensive medications among males (Kakkavas et al., 2013). This research study will use The Health Belief Model to investigate the correlation between African American males with dual diagnoses of HTN and ED who are non adherent to anti hypertensive medications. More specifically, this study will scrutinize the adverse side effects of anti hypertensive medications in relation to complications of untreated HTN, one of which is ED. The ideals of liberty and equality went astray in the late nineteenth century being destabilized by an upswing of another form political policy, liberalism. This liberalism was interwoven with racism and sexism, and colored by positivist interpretations of science, society and knowledge that were becoming common currency in Western Europe. Positivism was especially suited to reform because of its practical, disciplinary, and authoritarian inclinations (Larson p.64). The elites plan to transform the republic into a better nation was part of a larger plan to put themselves on the same progressive track as other European nations. Our comprehensive synthesis of available evidence showed a strong association between the LISA and the risk of late/very late ST and MI during the post imaging follow up. The low incidence of ST events over 18,145 person months follow up (≈1.4% ST per person year) in LISA group explains the limited power of previous studies evaluating this association. Our results are consistent with a prior meta analysis of five studies which found LISA to be associated with increased risk of late ST (OR = 6.51; 95% CI 1.34 34.91)(13). We extended these findings by including 11 additional studies and longer follow up of previous studies published subsequently. Also, we accounted for variable follow up period of included studies by using person months as offset rather than the number of patients in each group. Moreover, as recommended in literature (17 18), we used multiple statistical methods as part of our sensitivity analysis to assess the robustness of our findings. Our finding stood the test of these sensitivity analysis confirming a strong association between LISA ( and LAISA) and late/very late ST. Although we found a significant association between LISA and clinical events (ST and MI), our results do not establish a cause and effect relationship. The fight for equal rights and more positive views on African Americans started in the 1960s when society would make negative judgments on them since the media believed that African Americans were only good for being slaves. The novel The Bluest Eye (1970) by Toni Morrison and the album To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar both show oppression through institutionalized racism. To clarify, I have learned how to evaluate the interventions, measurement choices, implementation of interventions and data collection process I practice with my clients to better understand how my clients are responding to therapeutic treatment. The first experience with regards to clinical evaluation I had began when I was required to complete the first immersion program report. Henry Ittleson Center is a day and residential child treatment center located in the Riverdale area of the Bronx. As a result of clinical evaluation being such a long process, for the sake of this paper, I will be focusing on apprehension moments I encountered when completing my immersion report such as frustrations I faced with my agencies limited objectives/goals selection, frustrations with diagnosing children, difficulties with measurement selection, biased results and quick glance at the progress made by my client since I began to evaluate my own practices. My experiences with clinical evaluation formally began when asked to complete section one of the immersion report, which includes brief synopsis of client, target problem, goals and objectives. Ophelia showed the exact image of the majority of women from my home country. In the play Hamlet, Ophelia was the most innocent, meek, but distraught character. Ophelia was a young, innocent girl, who was spirited and was the age of daydreamers. Her dreams were all about the young prince Hamlet; she believed he was the man for her. A little bit of attraction seems like love to girls of her age. She was immature so she started to believe in Hamlet s love for her and gave her untouched heart to him. Ophelia told Polonius, And hath given countenance to his speech, my lord, with almost all the holy vows of heaven (I.iii.114). We have evidence that Ophelia thought Hamlet really loved her. When her father asked her about Hamlet she replied, He hath, my lord, of late made many tenders of his affection to me (I. iii. 100). Her heart always convinced her that Hamlet loved her. While she was crazy, she admitted that Hamlet already used her and, due to her innocence, she lost her virginity. She still was heartbroken that Hamlet thought that she was not loyal to him. I chose to focus on the last piece played in the concert Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503. II. BACKGROUND OF COMPOSITION The work is a concerto completed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on December 4, 1786, and it is the last of the twelve great piano concertos written in Vienna between 1784 and 1786. The concerto is one of Mozart s longest with a duration of about 33 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The orchestral sound felt liquid in nuance and Uchida balanced them with every phrase of her performance. With the piano leading, the Cleveland Orchestra followed with the taste, vitality and elegancy of Mozart and played with the charm through its delightful melodies and engaging writing. I can especially sense the accents of trumpets and drums and enjoy how they brought a regal splendor into the outer movements of the concerto. In the sway of her body, I was impressed by Uchida s passion for her instrument; through her strokes of the keys, I understood her fervor about Mozart s music. I can also feel a touching tenderness in Uchida s rendition of Mozart, manifesting her love for the music. V. CONCLUSION Overwhelmingly beautiful is the description I would give to this enjoyable concert. When this team of professionals, which includes a pianist, conductor and orchestra performed together, all three were fully engaged in making the whole concert elegant. Even without professional music appreciation knowledge, I still find Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503 embodies all that is elegant about Mozart s sublime concerti and delivers very articulate understanding of Mozart s spirit in music. The impersonal imagination and artistic delight brought by music is the most precious legacy left for us by the great musicians like Mozart. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Maternity Leave Case Study Many of these different employment laws interested me, however, the Family and Medical Leave Act caught my eye. This is because I have a family member who just recently birthed a child. She received the required amount of 12 weeks of maternity leave, as well as being granted an extra 6 weeks additionally. So this kind of law made sense for me. Now just a little background on this employment law, it was enacted in 1993 by President Bill Clinton. The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 allows employees who have worked for a company for 1 year or more to apply for a period of unpaid leave with no fear of losing their job. This case is officially referred to as Gilliam vs. United Parcel Service Inc., handed down on November 29th, 2000. The court case document, that notes Gilliam, in full as Reginald Gilliam, assumed that the Family and Medical Leave Act licensed him to be able to up to 120 days off of work without obtaining any penalty. Mr. Gilliam also believed that he did not have to advise his current employer of his schedule of return to work. There was apparently a miscommunication of words between Mr. Gilliam and Mr. Gilliam s supervisor about the amount of time that Mr. Gilliam would be out of the workplace for. This therefore created confusion and disagreements, leading to a U.S. Circuit Courts decision. All in all, the court confirmed the official accord of Judge Robert L. Miller. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and Judge Miller had their rulings upheld, stating that Mr. Gilliam has the full responsibility to inform the company at least 30 days prior to beginning the requested leave period. Mr. Gilliam failed to fulfill his legal obligations under the Family and Medical Leave Act and therefore will now reap the repercussions of his failure to abide by the ... • 44. Piaget Of The Infant Cognitive Development Essay Background In the context of infant cognitive development and its corresponding theories, Jean Piaget often serves as a key theorist. Often referred to with the metaphor of children as explorers, Piaget believed that children, from the moment of birth, are actively engaging with and exploring their surrounding environment. With his contributions to the psychological field, like his six stages of sensorimotor development, we grasp a better understanding of a child s first encounters developmentally. One of his most important accounts was on the concept of object permanence. He was able to provide a look into infants understanding of the physical world (DeHart, Sroufe, Cooper, p. 168). In order to better understand his account on object permanence however, one must be aware of his six stages of sensorimotor development: Reflexes, Primary Circular Reactions, Secondary Circular Reactions, Coordination of Schemes, Tertiary Circular Reactions, and Beginnings of Representational Thought, which were largely influence through his experiments with his own children. The first stage, Reflexes, occurs from birth to 1 month. During this stage, Piaget asserted, infants are limited to their biological, programmed reflexes. • 49. Being Betrayed, Misunderstood, And Forgotten Had Never... While trusting someone, the thought of being betrayed, misunderstood, and forgotten had never crossed my mind. For example, I have a really had habit of putting my trust into people who are unworthy of it. I hate that I ever put my trust in those people with such personal things in my life. As bad habit of trusting people, it resulted in regretful decisions. One bad habit of regretfully trusting that ended in a regretful decision was trusting Leonard because he took my friendship for granted and tried to use me. Leonard and I met in the fourth grade, and we became best friends instantly. I could tell the difference between our values throughout the years of our friendship. Leonard was basically spoiled while I was not. Next, he began to complain about feeling it was beneath him. In my head, I thought how anyone could be so ungrateful. Leonard was my best friend, so I trusted him to understand my work situations. Until this one incident that pushed me over the edge with him. While I was away for eight months at training, I expected for Leonard to understand that with hard work comes responsibilities. He never thought of how it would affect me if I spent all of my hard earned money on him. When returned from training, his hand was always out. As a best friend, I helped him when he asked me for things, but began to regret that decision when he asked me for five hundred dollars to put a down payment on a car. Army money only stretched so far because I am in a reserve unit. Even ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. Why I Learned The Piano As a thirteen year old I could only watch game shows for so long, and that day I could not take anymore. I couldn t sit still and needed to hear more than Steve Harvey and the Family Feud theme song, so I wandered into her sitting room that always felt a little warmer than the rest of the house. Sometimes I would sit on the couch by the window and feel the sun s heat hit my face and watch the cars drive by. Sometimes I played with her giant record player, but vases covered it that day, so I went to her old piano. Dust covered sheet music and instruction books filled the bench of the piano. I flipped through them and found songs I knew, and I became determined. That day I decided I wanted to learn the piano. Every day at the same time I would go in her sitting room and practice, and every day she would listen and tell me how good a job I was doing. Some days she would even come play with me. Every day of that summer looked exactly the same: sleep in the morning on the couch, have lunch with my mom, and play piano in the afternoon. It did change on some days when my grandmother would take me to the Baskin Robins down the street, and we d get ice cream, but I d always practice when we got back. I convinced myself I would become a great pianist, but my left hand never did anything. It never moved the same way my right hand did, but my grandmother never said anything about it, she always encouraged me, no matter how bad my playing actually sounded. I lost my drive for piano ... • 51. Structure Process And Facility Layout Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the Facility Layout Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout. What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential. Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them including job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of products and services. They can achieve diversity in possible outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of this transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve people with nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed. The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use a set of materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc., and low skilled employees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Icic Case Study Case: ICICI Bank Brand Building in Retail Banking Situational Analysis This case highlights the journey of ICICI Bank towards its establishment as a formidable brand in the retail banking sector.
