This document discusses an approach for generating higher accuracy digital data products from Indian satellites. The approach uses automatic image matching between an input image and reference image to refine the satellite's geometric sensor model and estimate biases. Estimated biases from selected images are then used to improve the geo-location accuracy of multiple other scenes, saving significant processing time. The approach was implemented using the IRS Core Preprocessing Engine library, which provides sensor modeling capabilities and allows dynamic configuration of image processing chains. This bias estimation technique ensures improved location accuracy of data products and insights into satellite behavior over its lifetime.
