GMT started manufacturing lapping & polishing machine in 1971. It was built for in-house use and until then hand lapping process was used for finishing surface plates. Critical parts for our workholding devices required a finishing and buffing machine. There was demand in the market for valve lapping and lapping plates. Since GMT had a captive ferrous foundry, castings for lap plate and lapping machine were easier to source.
Since then GMT has become one of India's largest lapping machine manufacturers and suppliers with over 350 installations throughout India mainly to the valve and pump industry. When a buyer in Japan wanted a super finishing machine for lapping large granite plates, GMT designed and supplied a 3000mm dia flat lapping machine.
Pump manufacturers, electronic industries, valve manufacturers, etc., have found a sure way of obtaining positive sealing.

An Overview of CNG and PNG
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG): is natural gas compressed to a pressure of 200-250 Kg/cm² (g) (due to its low density) to enhance the vehicle onboard storage capacity. Thus, the compressed form of natural gas is used as a fuel for transportation purposes.
At present CNG Retail Outlets of GAIL and Its JVCs are available in Delhi, Maharastra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, and Madhya Pradesh States with more than 400 CNG Retail outlets catering to approximately 6,80,000 vehicles.
Indraprastha Gas Ltd, a JV of GAIL (India) Ltd, has 209 CNG Retail outlets and Mahanagar Gas Ltd another JV of GAIL (India) Ltd has set up 148 CNG stations
Similarly, other JVCs like MNGL has 13 Outlets, BGL has 14 outlets , GGL with 10 outlets each, and AGL & CGUL with 9 retail outlets each and TNGCL with one outlet.
GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited has currently 17 CNG outlets at Dewas, Sonepat, Kota, Meerut, Vijaipur, Dibiyapur, Firozabad, Vadodara and Panvel. It will be commissioning its other outlets very soon.
Piped Natural Gas (PNG) is natural gas used as a fuel for households, Industries (with a demand of less than 50000 scmd) and commercial units
Indian CGD Players Eye on Profits as Global LNG Crashes to Record Breaking LowsTechSci Research
Pressurized by the supply glut and demand crash, crude oil prices declined by 5 per cent to around $28 per barrel on Wednesday. As per the recent monthly analysis report of International Energy Agency (IEA), the April oil demand will show a dive by 29 million barrel per day (bpd) to break the records in the last 25 years.
First presented at Certas Energy's Clean Air breakfast event on 22nd May 2017, this presentation introduces a new entrant into the clean air debate - paraffinic fuels.
With improved combustion properties, these cleaner alternatives can be used in standard diesel and gas oil engines while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%. With no investment in infrastructure, machinery or vehicles required, they could play a vital role in cleaning up Britain's industry.
Certas Energy is the first to introduce and pioneer Shell GTL Fuel (Gas-To-Liquid) in the UK, with the aim of improving air quality.
