Only applied to around a half of Air India s fleet, the new livery did not succeed, as the Indian flying
public complained about the phasing out of the classic colours. The new livery was dropped after two
years and the old scheme was returned.
In 1993, Air India took delivery of the flagship of its fleet when the first Boeing 747 400 named
Konark and registered VT ESM made history by operating the first non stop flight between New York
City and Delhi. In 1994 the airline was registered as Air India Ltd. In 1996, the airline inaugurated
service to its second US gateway at O Hare International Airport in Chicago. In 1999, the airline
opened its dedicated Terminal 2 C at the newly renamed Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in
Mumbai.
In 2000, Air India introduced services to Shanghai, as well as to Los Angeles and Newark. On May
2004, Air India launched a wholly owned low cost airline called Air India Express. Air India Express

4. The Fourteenth Amendment Of The Constitution
The Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments are a really big part of the Constitution for
slavery and about the equal rights in the United States. The government created the thirteenth,
fourteenth, and fifteenth amendment to allow racial equality in the United States by freeing all of the
slaves, giving them the right to get citizenship, and the right to vote. I will be talking about each
Amendment and how they were formed and also why. The Thirteenth Amendment of the Constitution
says, Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof
the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to
their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the Thirteenth Amendment was passed in America than that means that all of the slaves are free
and get the same rights as any usual white man. Thirteenth amendment makes slavery and involuntary
servitude, in America it is illegal to have slaves. President Andrew Johnson helped get the thirteenth
amendment ratified by three fourths of the state in 1865. To pass a law the state legislatures have to
vote more than three fourths or else the law does not become a law. It also takes a long time for all of
the legislatures to vote on it because they have to talk about it and agree or disagree with each other
and that could become a very long time before the law gets approved or not. They ended slavery after
the Civil War and the Senate proposed the thirteenth amendment in 1864. Slavery was the main reason
that the Civil War started. Abraham Lincoln started it by trying to put the Thirteenth Amendment into
the Constitution. Kentucky is the only state that still uses the Union and declined to emancipate slaves.
Kentucky is one of the states that allowed people to have slaves and have people work for them
legally. The thirteenth amendment is the subject of controversy. The Supreme Court ruled the
Thirteenth amendment and says that it does not apply to discrimination in private relationships.
Mississippi did not ratify the thirteenth amendment. Mississippi was allowed to be

5. Meaning Of Silence
Silence is better than unmeaning words by Pythagoras has very deep meaning. Silence is defined as
when there is an absence of sound, but there is more to it. During silence a lot of the times people have
no idea about what to say or what would be appropriate thing to do. In a short story A primer for
Punctuation of Heart disease by Jonathan Safran Foer, story revolves around a boy named Jonathan
whose family has lack of communication which has caused distance in familial relationships. The
story consists of different Punctuations that most audience is unfamiliar with and the meanings that he
gives revolves around how his life is spent in silence. Foer uses silence as a notation to convey the
message that silence is a way to run away from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Foer s story when the speaker defines meaning of a particular symbol, he relates the symbol to a
particular time where the symbol should be present in the conversation. Foer writes, The best example
of this usage occurred when I was a boy. My grandmother was driving me to a piano lesson, and the
Volvo s wipers only moved the rain around. She turned down the volume of the second side of the
seventh tape of an audio version of Shoah, put her hand on my cheek, and said, I hope that you never
love anyone as much as I love you¡ (2). Jonathan was describing the meaning of unxclamation point
which indicates whisper. Not only did speaker described the meaning but he connected it to his past
memory and he was silent after listening to his grandmother words because he was trying to remember
the other instances where somebody told him I love you. Similar view is offered by Lahiri, where
Kaushik s father called him and before picking the phone up he gets lost in the memory of his dad.
Lahiri writes, I [Kaushik] knew before answering that it was my father; there was no one else who
would have called me before nine. My father had always been an early riser, believing that the hours
between five and seven were the most profitable part of the day (1). Normally when someone calls

6. The Stages Of Non Rem Sleep
The stages of non REM sleep, stages 1 3, are defined by EEG activity. Slow wave sleep in stage 3 is
the deepest stage of sleep. Alertness consists of desynchronized beta activity (13 30 Hz); relaxation
and drowsiness consist of alpha activity (8 12 Hz); stage 1 sleep consists of alternating periods of
alpha activity, irregular fast activity, and theta activity (3.5 7.5 Hz); the EEG of stage 2 sleep lacks
alpha activity but contains sleep spindles (short periods of 12 14 Hz activity) and occasional K
complexes; stage 3 sleep primarily consists of delta activity. About 90 minutes after the beginning of
sleep, people enter REM sleep. Thereafter, cycles of REM and non REM sleep occur in periods of
approximately 90 minutes. Muscle tone decreases throughout the stages, resulting in deepest
relaxation and paralysis in REM sleep (Carlson Birkett, p. 268).
The rate of cerebral blood flow during REM sleep is high in the extrastriate cortex but low in the
striate cortex and the prefrontal cortex. This activity reflects a lack of visual in put in REM (little or no
activation in the striate cortex), but the presence of active visual hallucinations during dreaming
(activation in the extrastriate cortex). Lack of prefrontal cortex activity likely reflects the lack of
organization and planning that occur in dreams. Regional cerebral blood flow during slow wave sleep
is generally decreased throughout the brain compared to waking. However, some researchers have
found localized increases

Theatre/Cinema: Rent (2005, Taye Diggs Rosario Dawson) On February 15, 2016, I watched the
movie rent. The setting of the movie is based on a documentary of the AIDS epidemic in the late
1980s and early 1990s. The movie theme depicts eight individuals who struggle with poverty,
homosexuality, death, and hardships of life in New York City. I believe Rent did a great job utilizing
the costumes, lighting, and props and furniture to get the message across. The costumes in the movie
reflect the character s personality and developed a vision for the audience. For the most part the
women wore brighter colors, such as red, orange, and animal print, while the men stuck to the basic

8. Analysis Of Cheesman And Merikle ( 1984 )
Cheesman and Merikle (1984) introduced the concepts of objective and subjective thresholds,
suggesting that subliminal stimuli are the messages that are only able to reach the objective threshold,
while the messages that pass through both objective and subjective thresholds would be perceived
consciously by the subjects. This idea was challenged by Holender (1986), who argued that subjects
may have perceived the quickly flashed images or words that are designed to be subliminal stimuli
consciously but failed to recall them at the time of report, thus effectively riles the phenomenon of
subliminal perception out of existence . Nevertheless, Holender s argument were countered by many
others in the field, who pointed out that he ignored the aspect of awareness that essentially forms our
consciousness, in which consciousness is a primary phenomenon, which the experimenter has no right
to argue with (Norretranders, 1998).
It is important to note that no fixed subjective threshold has been located or identified and existing
evidence suggested that it varies from individual. Thus, based on the above arguments, subliminal
stimuli would be defined as the stimuli that doesn t reach conscious awareness even if attention is paid
to them, only reaching the objective threshold.
The existence of subliminal perception reveals the enormous processing capacity of the unconscious is
enormous ...if we accept that unconscious perceptual processes have a paramount influence on human

9. Research on the Legalization of Marijuana Essay examples
Research on the Legalization of Marijuana
Americans have been trying to legalize marijuana for years. It seems that all of their opinions divide
into three basic groups. Many think that it is not worth legalizing marijuana, many seem to think it
should be legalized, and a group of people say it should only be legalized for medicinal purposes.
In the following paragraphs I will try to show you reason for all three opinions.
My hopes of doing this research project were to specifically determine what effects marijuana in
combination with different substances had on the body. I also decided to determine the differences
between marijuana and tobacco, due to the high misconceptions about both of them in society today.
First of all, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marijuana usually does not contain more than 1 percent of THC. There are stronger drugs related to
THC, such as hash oil , which can contain up to a 28 percent THC level. There have been some cases
where street marijuana has been found to contain up to 5 percent THC content. That is very potent for
normal marijuana, and is probably very hard to come by in the United States. Other countries seem to
use different forms of THC related drugs such as hashish, and hemp. Both of these contain more THC
than marijuana. As far as long term effects of tobacco and marijuana go, they are about the same.
Cancer should appear in the lungs of a tobacco user earlier due to the amount the tobacco user smokes
in relation to a normal marijuana smoker. There have been many assumptions that marijuana will
cause long term brain damage and so on, but, clinically, none of this has ever been proven. In fact, in a
college survey, the students who use the drug regularly possessed a higher GPA than those who do not
use. This is an entire different subject, but it was interesting to learn.
Both tobacco and marijuana contain tar. Marijuana contains a little more and will actually feel heavier
on the lungs after smoking. Tar has been found to produce tumors on the skin of animals that it is
applied to. Cancer has definitely been related to

10. Essay about Women s Roles In China
Women in China at the beginning of the twentieth century
China was suffering a great loss at the beginning of the twentieth century since half of its citizens were
not able to contribute much to the country. The Chinese society at that time was male dominated, so
though women comprised almost half of the total population, they had actually very little part to play
in uplifting the country economically, socially and intellectually. Nevertheless, Chinese women should
not be blamed for that. They had their own reasons for being so unproductive, which they later tried to
overcome successfully.
Firstly, they were quot;physically confined. quot; This takes us back to the practice of foot binding in
China, which was started early in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even peasent women had to have their feet bound, so this meant while they were working in the
fields, they basically had to crawl. Foot binding was not only for the sake of beauty, but it also served
the purpose for the Chinese young girls to be restricted from going out of their houses. This practice
lasted for about a thousand years. Thus this unhealthy practice prevented Chinese women from going
beyond their homes and thus limited their freedom to gain knowledge from the outside world.
Secondly, Chinese women were socially restricted. quot;Chastity for women was more valuable than
life itself. The definition of chastity became ridiculously broad to the extent that a girl was considered
unclean if she happened to see a man s sex organ when he urinated in the public place. quot; Unless
she married him she had to commit suicide to protect her reputation (Yao 106). quot; Moreover,
women who were disowned by their husbands due to unfaithfulness and disobedience were deprived
of employment, bearing remorse and disgrace for life quot; (Yao 79). Since these women had no other
source of living as they were completely dependent on their men, suicide was the only alternative (Yao
79). More often the family made those decisions of suicide because that saved its name. So, there was
a lot of pressure from the society which suppressed Chinese women s hopes and desires to be equal to
men

13. The United States s Reconstruction Policies During The...
By March 1863, Union forces had taken control of the sugar planting region and reported that all the
slaves had come within their lines. Fellow sugar planter Andrew McCollam reported that he had only
a few hands left and he doubted he would be able to do more than manage the seed cane. Viguerie,
along with hundreds of Louisiana soldiers, including William A. Bisland of Terrebonne, surrendered
on May 26, 1865 in New Orleans. Viguerie was paroled to New Iberia, Louisiana on June 6, 1865. He
was released shortly after. Louisiana was the only region deep within the Confederacy where Union
authorities implemented experimental Reconstruction policies during the Civil War. Louisiana
responded to President Abraham Lincoln s plan to readmit southern states into the Union by selecting
delegates to write a new constitution. The Constitution of 1864 abolished slavery and disposed of
Louisiana s old order of rule by planters and merchants, although it did not give African Americans
voting power. It was the first state charter to incorporate Lincoln s conciliatory approach and was the
leading test case for postwar policy. Lincoln s Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 did not apply to
Union held territory. Thus, slavery continued in the thirteen Louisiana parishes under Union control.
After much debate, delegates to the constitutional convention agreed to abolish slavery without
compensation for masters but not to give the vote to black men. The new constitution, however,
authorized

Sometimes, you can become close to people who are not what they seem. Rasputin was undoubtedly
one of those people. Though he claimed to be a holy man, rumors about him actually said that he was
a follower of Satan who seduced other women for sex. I believe that Rasputin s death was justified
because he was negatively influencing the Tsarina Aleksandra and granted a lot of political favors to
other royal politicians.
For that time period, your reputation could be the wall between life and death. Rasputin was seen as
the dark force that was ruining Mother Russia (Rosenberg 1). Although he became married to
Proskovia Fyodorovna Dubrovina in 1889, Rasputin continued to have sex and drink alcohol
regularly. Though he appeared a pious and saintly holy man in front of the royal couple, others saw
him as a dirty sex craved peasant who was ruining Russia and the monarchy (Rosenberg 1). All of the
aristocrats only saw Rasputin as filth who had been granted way too much power. Because of his
cravings, Rasputin would sometimes bring home women and give them political favors in return for
sex. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The mission statement is the written expression of the basic goals, characteristics, values, and
philosophy that shape the organization and give it purpose. It seeks to distinguish the organization
from others by articulating its scope of activities, its products/services and market, and the significant

Business objectives, and functional objectives make it possible to set targets. These targets then create
a direction for activities.
Objectives
Objectives are concrete goals that the organizations seek to reach, for example , an earnings growth
target. The objectives should be challenging but achievable . they also should be measurable so that the
company can monitor its progress and make corrections as needed.
The overarching aims of an organisation can be translated into specific activity objectives. For
example, a section head in a supermarket may have the objective at the end of each working day to
make sure that there are enough employees scheduled to carry out the required work activities on the
following day. Individual employees will have their own work objectives and schedules e.g. to make
sure that a particular section of shelves are filled by a given time.
Objectives therefore provide a clear structure for all of the various activities that an organisation
carries out. By measuring how well an objective has or has not been achieved, managers can make
necessary changes to their activities to ensure progress and achievement of the stated objectives are
made within the timescale allocated.
Objectives within an organisation are established at a number of levels from top level corporate
objectives, down to team objectives and individual objectives that create a framework for

17. What Is The Theme Of Colonialism In Balzac And The Little...
There are often mixed feelings in Western nations regarding colonization; if it hadn t been practiced,
nations such as the United States and Canada wouldn t exist, nor would the prosperity present in many
European nations. In the places subjugated during colonization, however, there is one, unequivocal
response to the practice: absolutely not. A prime example of this is found in 1970 s China, during
which a Cultural Revolution took place as a response to the punctuation of Western ideas into the East.
Dai Sijie s Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress takes place during this event, following two city
boys, named Luo and a narrator unnamed, who have been consistently exposed to Western ideas in
their backgrounds, but then are taken to rural China for re education, introducing a different side of
culture, previously unknown to the boys. This sudden clash sees the narrator often conflicted over the
differing ideals of his home culture, often defined by its collectivism, and the culture he grew up with,
which values the expression of individuality. As time passes upon his home during his re education,
Phoenix Mountain, he ultimately arrives at a resolution that independence is more valuable than the
collectivist bonds so often present in China. The first way this cultural learning is made clear is
through the repeated incidences of the narrator s exposure to raw culture. What can be expected,
however, after being stirpped away from the city and thrown into rural China, even for a native? One
of the first demonstrations of the cultural differences incurred by mere miles comes with the narrator s
and Luo s arrival upon Phoenix Mountain. All of their possessions are searched in the very beginning
so as to determine if they are approved by the Communist Party and Chairman Mao; when they
discover the narrator s violin, their initial impression is that it s a toy. Upon hearing the head man
declare the instrument a toy, the narrator describes he and Luo as speechless (Sijie 4) and that they
exchanged furtive, anxious glances, (Sijie 4) going further to say that Things were not looking good
(Sijie 4). The stage being set in this fashion suggests, of course, a great discomfort with the situation

We re the only burger chain that doesn t have milkshakes. But we couldn t possibly have a milkshake
that comes of out of the machine Jerry says (Roger, Y, 2009).
Second factor quality of food is the heart core factor that contributed to the success of Five Guys
burger. Five Guys burger is better than McDonald s, says Tristano. Americans have always fallen in
love with a better product (Burke M, 2012). Speaking about quality food that offers Five Guys
includes superior quality of meat, eighty percent lean, always fresh, never frozen at all. Potatoes
always come from northern Idaho, because of weather condition they grow more slowly, solid and
tasty in comparison to the potatoes grown in California or Florida, grow faster and are cheaper used
by other fast food chains. Five Guys use anything but the best. Five Guys first soak fries in water so
when the fries are per fried, the water boils, forcing steam out of the fry. This forma a seal so that
when they get fried a second time, the fries don t absorb any oil and so are never oily. Fries are much
harder than burgers says Murrell. We work day and night on them, all the damn time. (Burke M,
2012). Five Guys menu allows the chain to focus all its energy on executing its burger perfectly

as much as the oil, other burger restaurants were using (Lottie L., 2012).

19. A Chemical Reaction By Light
Photocatalysis is the acceleration of a chemical reaction by light. The activity of these catalysts
usually depends on their ability to produce pairs of negatively charged electrons and positively
charged electron holes (electron hole pairs) on material surfaces, which is induced by light irradiation.
An electron hole is the absence of an electron from the full valence band. Furthermore, as light
interacts with matter in the form of energy packets, the photons, it excites an electron consequently
causing it to move to a higher energy orbital leaving a vacancy, a hole, in its previous position (ground
state orbital). The creation of these electron hole pairs brings about various chemical processes, such
as the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are highly reactive chemical species, which may then
go on to give secondary reactions.
It is well documented that light energized, photocatalytic TiO2 is a safe, non toxic, anti oxidant that
produces hydroxyl radicals (OH ) that are remarkably effective in rapidly decomposing organic
compounds. When UV light is emitted on the titanium dioxide, electron are released. The electrons
interact with water molecules (H2O) in the solution, breaking them up into hydroxyl radicals (OH·),
which are highly reactive, short lived, uncharged forms of hydroxide ions (OH−). These agile
hydroxyl radicals attack the organic (carbon based) molecules from which most dirt and other harmful
chemicals are made of, breaking apart their chemical

Cybersecurity is defined by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS) as
being The activity or process, ability or capability, or state whereby information and communications
systems and the information contained therein are protected from and/or defended against damage,
unauthorized use or modification, or exploitation (Department of Homeland Security, 2015).
Cyberjacking an aircraft has become the most threatening issue within the realm of cybersecurity.
Cyberjacking an aircraft opposes a threat to the safety and well being of the aircraft passengers and the
computer system that controls and operates the aircraft. Within the past three there has been several
incidents where aircrafts have disappeared and vanished under the radar. This has led researchers and
federal aviation authorities to believe that each aircraft was cyberjacked and the computer system was
hacked and manipulated. As result, there is ongoing research being conducted to determine how to
prevent hackers from infiltrating a computer systems on aircraft. There are two variables being tested
to determine the various entry points a potential cyber hijacker has to enter the computer system that
controls an aircraft. The two variables are: Can an aircraft be cyberjacked before boarding? Can on
board computer systems be cyberjacked from a passenger seat on an aircraft by using USB ports and

21. Liberal Arts Education In Plato s The Allegory Of The Cave
Patrick Awuah, the founder of Ashesi University, explains that the purpose of a liberal arts college is
to educate free men and woman to become leaders. Ashei was the first non profit liberal arts college in
West Africa. Patrick saw the need for a liberal arts education because he felt that the current leaders of
Africa did not have the creative thinking skills necessary to fix the problems threatening Africa. He

The Skidmore College Mission Statement emphasizes the importance of a never ending quest for
knowledge . This outlines one key part of a liberal arts education, the understanding that knowledge is
limitless and there will always be more questions to ask. This idea is conveyed in Plato s The Allegory
of the Cave, in this story, shadows on a wall represented the whole world to prisoners until one was
enlightened and saw the real world. Until enlightenment, the prisoners had no way of knowing that
they were looking at shadows their entire life, because we don t know about the knowledge that we
have not yet discovered. In the same way, we don t know the answers to questions we have not

22. Do Not Go Gentle Into That Night By Dylan Thomas
In 1957 Dylan Thomas published a poem called Do Not Go Gentle into That Night. While reading the
poem towards the end you find out that this poem was not only about the inevitable death that one
faces at the end of life, but also that this poem was for his dying father. In this poem Thomas uses a
form of poetry called villanelle to intertwine many themes, as well as, symbolism and imagery to draw
the reader into a sensory experience. Villanelle is a very structured form of poetry that was originated
in the french language before it was introduced to the english language. It consists of nineteen lines of
poetry and it is divided into six stanzas, it is composed of five three lined stanzas and one four lined
stanza. Villanelles also have a very specific rhyme pattern The first and third lines of the first tercet
rhyme with each other, and this rhyme is repeated through each of the next four tercets and in the last
two lines of the concluding quatrain, this could also be called a refrain (Glossary A13). Dylan follows
the scheme very well using the rhyme aba aba aba aba aba abaa. While Dylan follows the poetry form
to a T he also is able to incorporate many themes into his poem. One of which, being a very obvious
one already stated, mortality. Even though death is inevitable, Dylan suggest that people should fight
against the odds to redeem themselves, Rage, rage against the dying of the light (Thomas 3). He uses
the dying of the light to describe the sunset which is

24. Legalization Of Cannabis In Scotland
This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the current law in Scotland regarding cannabis. It
provides information and statistics about the potential medical benefits from cannabis use. However,
in turn it shows research indicating the mental and physical harm the drug can cause. The aim of this
report was to answer the question: Should cannabis be legalised in Scotland? . Through the
information presented and questioned, Scotland or the UK in general should look to legalise or
decriminalise cannabis, as there is a wide array of medical benefits that cannabis can provide for those
in pain. Substances such as alcohol and tobacco are legal, yet they are behind a substantial number of
deaths and ailments throughout Scotland every year. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Scottish National Party announced their backing of the decriminalising of cannabis for medical
use in Scotland last year, the members of the party sought to gain the authority over cannabis from the
UK government and that it be delegated to the Scottish parliament. Cannabis was initially banned in
1928, medical prescriptions however were still permitted until the introduction of the 1971 act. In
between those two years, the growing of cannabis was outlawed in 1964. Thus, making cannabis a
controlled substance. Hospital admissions from cannabis use are apparently resulting in a ten year
high . Per the analysis carried out by the Scottish Conservatives it states that 834 (14 per cent) of the
5922 people admitted to hospital after drug use in 2015/16 had taken cannabis. The figure is more
than double the lowest rate of 5 per cent recorded in 2000/01 but below a high of 16 per cent in
2005/06. However, the Scottish Conservatives are known for being against the legalisation and
decimalisation of cannabis use, this information could be biased and it cannot be affirmed if these
hospitalisations were strictly from cannabis by itself or if any other substance was

Did you know that roughly 805 million people a day go hungry? World hunger is a problem that needs
to have greater recognition. It and other world problems can be solved if people stand up for what they
believe in and take action for them. Other than world hunger I would rebel for abortion and racism.
World hunger is a serious problem that I would rebel for. It is wrong to see so much food being thrown
away that could go somewhere else to help people. The amount of food that gets thrown away is
astounding; restaurants have whole trash bins just for leftover food. Many lives could be saved if we
just use leftovers instead of just throwing it away and making new food. An excellent example of
wasting food is the La Tomatina or (tomato throwing)

Description Parts of solvent needed for one part of solute
Very soluble 10000
Approaches to Increase solubility/ Dissolution:
Various techniques have been used in attempt to improve solubility and dissolution rates of poorly
water soluble drugs which include solid dispersion, micronization, lipid based formulations, melt
granulation, direct compaction, solvent evaporation, co precipitation, adsorption, ordered mixing,
liquisolid compacts, solvent deposition inclusion complexation and steam aided granulation. In these
techniques carrier plays an important role in improving solubility and dissolution rate. Polymers,
superdisintegrants, surfactants are extensively studied in recent years for dissolution enhancement in
drugs.

Able to preferably increase the aqueous solubility of the drug.
Chemically compatible with the drug and not form a strongly bonded complex with the drug.
SELECTION OF SOLVENTS: Solvent to be included for the formulation of solid dispersion should
have the following criteria:
Both drug and carrier must be dissolved.
Toxic solvents to be avoided due to the risk of residual levels after preparation e.g. chloroform and
dichloromethane .
Ethanol can be used as alternative as it is less toxic.
Water based systems are preferred.
Surfactants are used to create carrier drug solutions but as they can reduce glass transition
temperature, so care must be taken in to consideration.
ADVANTAGES OF SOLID DISPERSION(22):
Particles with Reduced Particle Size: Molecular dispersions, as solid dispersions, represent the last
state on particle size reduction, and after carrier dissolution the drug is molecularly dispersed in the
dissolution medium. Solid dispersions apply this principle to drug release by creating a mixture of a
poorly water soluble drug and highly soluble carriers. A high surface area is formed, resulting in an
increased dissolution rate and, consequently, improved bioavailability .
Particles with Improved Wettability: Carriers with surface activity, such as cholic acid and bile salts.
When used, can significantly increase the wettability property of drug. Even

29. Television Has Made A Major Impact On Today s Society
Television has made a major impact on today s society and everywhere you go you see people
watching television. The first successful television set was made in San Francisco, September 7, 1927
by a twenty one year old inventor named, Philo Taylor Farnsworth(TV History). Farnsworth struggled
a lot throughout his life and after many legal battles, Farnsworth died in debt from lawsuits in
1971(Philo T. Farnsworth). Almost ninety years later, a common family tradition is sitting around the
television set, watching the hit shows of the day. This tradition has been around since the television
was made a highly marketed product in the 1950s. Many wonder when prime time television came to
be such a big thing for families to watch. Generations will argue about this topic as long as television
is a household activity. I hope to provide some clarity to the argument and influence people on their
opinion of what era was and is the best era s television has been through. Some people may say the
best time to watch television was when the television first came out, and sports were broadcasted.
Others may say that the current era is the best era we may ever have due to the mass media featured. I
believe, arguably, the best time for televisions was in the 1950s and 1960s. That era was called the
Golden Age and rightfully so. With historical memories like the Beatles debuting on The Ed Sullivan
Show in 1964, or the debut of the Andy Griffith Show in 1960, and even the debut of Leave it to

disease which has already spread across the universe in a drastic manner and no country can be proud

3. Where would you draw the line between acceptable gifts and unacceptable bribes? Does this line

a. As per many experts, it s very thin invisible line between acceptable gifts and unacceptable bribes
which differs from one country to another based on the culture. b. I would agree to the above point to
an extend as culture has something built into it that manipulates the line. For example, gifting a couple
of wine bottles for clients or associates is very common in western countries whereas guanxi is widely
seen in china which appears to accept corrupt practise as normal etiquette and it s different in other
countries. c. I believe that the line is visible clearly and thick enough to make decision on gift and

32. Argumentative Essay On Public Health
Public health institutions have developed strategies to improve children s life. They focused in three
main points the need to focus on the environment that makes children sick rather than on sick
children; the need to attack the biggest problems, not the most scientifically interesting ones; and the
need to provide services where children are most likely to be (Howard, Golden, 2017). They agree that
children s problems are environmental reactions as it was in the past. Therefore, the history plays a big
role in policy discussions. In 1900, the child welfare movement made an impact in public health as
well as in children health care. Public health helped to catch infectious diseases and many other family
conditions (Howard, Golden, 2017).
Accordingly, the government established a national public health infrastructure. Indeed, hospitals,
medical schools and research laboratories creation made a difference in children s health. In fact, the
government commitment was to prevent the infant and child s mortality (Howard, Golden, 2017).
Later, the government expands health ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

33. Monroe Doctrine Effects
Through the Monroe Doctrine and its effect on US foreign policy, it led to several corollaries by future
presidents that expanded its influence throughout the world. The most notable corollary was put in
place by Theodore Roosevelt in the early 20th century. Since European countries were owed money
by many Latin American countries, Roosevelt felt that the US had a moral mandate to enforce proper
behavior among the nations of Latin America (Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine). This
allowed for Roosevelt to not only force the countries to repay their debts but also to send in American
troops to be sure his policies were implemented and the European nations stayed out of the territories.
Roosevelt s Corollary allowed the US to use military force to restore internal stability to nations in the
region of the Western Hemisphere (Milestones: 1899 1913: Roosevelt...1904). The use of US military

Its beginnings were rooted in isolationist ideas with the US wanting to eliminate Europe s intervention
and expansion in the US and the Latin American countries in the Western Hemisphere as well as
wanting to keep out of European wars. We then see how future presidents, such as Theodore
Roosevelt, used the doctrine to step into many Latin American countries to prevent conflicts with
Europe and to further America s influence and power in the region. Also, we see how the struggles in
Europe and the prospect of war enticed presidents such as Truman to undermine the doctrine and step
into European wars and affairs that the doctrine clearly opposed. Overall, the Monroe Doctrine was an
important part of US history which helped to shape our nation in the world and to lay the building
