UC Personal Statement Some people have skills that makes them unique, my skill was just
always a hands on learner. I have always just enjoyed fixing minor things around my house since
I was four. My mother would usually say Where s my handyman at? whenever there were
something to fix. Something about getting the knowledge of turning something useless into its
original state just intrigues me. When I was around ten years old, I started skating and it had me
actually figure out the board completely and learned how to assemble one which gave me more
experience. Around elementary and middle school, I didn t know much of what career path I
would choose since everyone I knew in my classes had their lives all planned out. I would panic

(among others) Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, Descartes, Locke, Hume, Heidegger and Marx
