Immigration On The United States
Immigration has emerged as a hot topic of concern over the last couple of decades but in reality the
problem of immigration goes far beyond the realms of recent decades. With President Trump s
intentions to build a wall to stop Mexicans from entering U.S. to the proposed ban of 7 nations,
immigration has never been a more prevalent problem. The recent years however have given birth to a
form of immigration that was not considered to be dominant before, refugees and displaced people are
viewed differently from people who colonized various parts of the world in the early 17th, 18th and
19th century. Today when one thinks of immigrants, Middle Eastern, Indians and Africans spring mind
but British and French people never do. Why is that so? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

was inferior led to these problems we face today. Present day, the race and immigration have a slightly
different relationship. Since 1960s, immigration has had a very large impact on American society and
there has been an increasing diversity of the nonwhite population of the United States, which has
contributed to the fear of loss of control in domination amongst many white supremacists. It is evident
after looking at various polls, examinations applications or any form in general, there are categories in
which individuals are divided for the purpose of analysis, i.e. Whites,

Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems
There are several methods to solve multi criteria decision making problems. Analytic Hierarchy
Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty. AHP
endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is used when
the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity happens because of
the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria. Generally we can say
The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP
approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]:
Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and
decomposed into a rational system like a network
Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at
each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria. Furthermore,
interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the influence of each
element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative importance values are
determined with Saaty s nine scales.
Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To
obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are
entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is

Observable artifacts is defined as the physical manifestation of an organization s culture not limited to
the company s manner dress, awards, myths and stories told about the organization, public lists of

Why Was Chopin Considered A Music Composer In The 19th...
Music becomes a part in our daily life. We often hear music on radios, in the stores, or with our
smartphone. I love music and want to investigate it more. Therefore, I chose a music composer in the
19th century, Frédéric François Chopin, in order to analyze the development or incarceration of
ideologies to the current century. Frédéric François Chopin, who was born in 1810, was a Polish
composer on the Romantic era. His talent appeared very early, which on the age of seven Chopin
already composed two polonaises. Chopin then went abroad to Europe to learn about musical life and
wanted to be renown. People acclaimed him as piano genius and great composer due to his extremely
success performances. Chopin existed in Romanticism, which is an era

Things Fall Apart Masculinity Essay

The Poison of Masculinity in Things Fall Apart
Chinua Achebe s postcolonial narrative Things Fall Apart gives insight into the lives and values of the
Igbo, an ethnic group from southeastern Nigeria. The novel covers the period of time before and
during the process of colonization by the Christians by following Okonkwo, a strong and wealthy Igbo
man, through his successes and faults. One important value of Igbo society that Things Fall Apart
focuses on is masculinity, an emphasized characteristic for the Igbo that stresses strength, brutality,
and overall dominance of men. We specifically see the effects of masculinity on Okonkwo, who
becomes so focused on his manliness that it becomes poisonous to himself and those around him.
Toxic masculinity is defined by the Good Men Project as a narrow and repressive description of
manhood, designating manhood as defined by violence, sex, status, and aggression. It s the cultural
ideal of manliness, where strength is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is aggressive to his own family members, and even resorts to murder multiple times in attempts to
establish his dominance over others. While masculinity and acts of strength were valued in Igbo
society, Okonkwo took it too far and his actions ended up hurting rather than helping. We see the same
issue paralleled in modern society, where men feel pressured to prove their masculinity in ways that
may be harmful to others. Toxic masculinity may even be the driving force behind some mass
shootings or other acts of hate. In the novel, it is clear that Okonkwo lost all respect from his family
and clansmen; and in the end he committed suicide without honor or esteem. Men all over the world
should use Okonkwo as an example of how toxic masculinity can ruin their lives and reputations,
ultimately ruining those around them as

Fever Book Report
Fever is a wonderful historical fiction by Laurie Halse Anderson. She has written many historical
novels and Fever is one of her greatest works. This story took place in Philadelphia in 1793, when
yellow fever just began to strike and kill thousands of people . Matilda Cook little Mattie is a daughter
of a coffee shop owner. She s a fourteen year old girl who works for her widowed mother. She works
with a girl named Polly and a kitchen cook Eliza, a woman from the Free African Society. Mattie
always tries to make her family s coffee shop the finest in Philadelphia. In this book, she encounters a
monster known as yellow fever. It kills many innocent people and gives sorrow to those who are left.

Like Mattie, Anne lived in a frightful time of the World War II, when the Nazis killed many Jews,
blaming that they were the reason why Germany was defeated in the World War I. Both Mattie and
Anne had to leave their homes and hid somewhere else in order to survive. Both of them had to watch
people die at very young ages. But they had one good thing in common. Mattie and Anne did not give
up their hope and courage even in heartbreaking moments. They tried to look at the bright side when
many people only saw the opposite. This book might have focused mainly on yellow fever and Mattie
s survival at that time, but I think the change that occurred inside her was important, as well. I wasn t
really a big fan of historical fictions because I didn t like reading books that looked like social studies
textbooks. I especially didn t want to read this book because there was a huge 1793 written on the
cover. But lots of people recommended this book to me and so I decided to give it a shot. After I read
the first 2 chapters, I couldn t get my hands off of it. The story was fantastic and inspiring. I liked the
way how the author included direct quotes from that time in every chapter, since it was fun trying to
predict what would happen while reading them. I highly recommend this book to everyone around my
age. By reading this book, they will also realize that historical novels are as good as fantasy

Presentism In Thomas Jefferson
The United States, a developing nation, remained under the influence of idealism and paradox for a
period of time, and thus were incapable of being self sufficient enough to run a country on their own.
They relied on England to protect them and practically run the colonies from overseas. Subsequently,
America joined the family of nations that preaches men are created to be equal. This notion is
expressed in Thomas Jefferson s Declaration of Independence. Though in the past Jefferson was seen
as the greatest founder of the United States, today his more unknown attributes in the nation have
come to be a topic of discussion, making a debatable conversation about the concept of presentism
arise. Today, Thomas Jefferson is examined and evaluated from many different perspectives of his
career during his lifetime in both adequate and deficient aspects, arousing the question if founding
fathers, like Jefferson, should be remembered for their highest achievements, or for their individual
failures and how the concept of presentism disarrays these outlooks. Born in 1743, Thomas Jefferson
lived and breathed an age of slavery in America, which greatly impacted his life choices. The
question, How could this man possess such a number of slaves if he himself was working for a nation
of abolishment? arises due to the concept today of presentism. Presentism is defined as having an
opinion of the past which is heavily influenced by the attitudes and experiences of the present day.

Meeting With Mentees
This week s meetings with both of my mentees was a bittersweet moment. I feel like both of my
mentees have grown throughout the semester and I am glad to be there to see them grow. This week s
topic was about self care and meeting with an advisor. I was very confident presenting the materials in
both of my meetings because I have already done these topics before. Even though, I have already
gone over the materials for both topics before, I still had to prepare the different kinds of questions I
am going to ask my mentees. Since, they have different concentrations in Psychology.

Bsbwor501 What Makes A Good Role Model
BSBWOR501 Summative Assessment 2 ? Michelle Rick
1. What makes a good role model and how can I ensure that I act as a role model for employees I
supervise?
The definition of a role model is a person whose behaviour, example or success can be emulated by
others, especially young people. Their values, actions and behaviours are upheld as an ideal and to be
desired. Being a role model may not be taken in its entirety. It can be broken down allowing a person
to be a role model in one area and not another. Being a manager is not a guarantee to be a role model.
Good leaders will model behaviours that encourage employees to endorse organisational goals and
objectives. By modelling the behaviours you find desirable and that will help reach company gaols
others will also begin to model said behaviours.
2. What are the traits of an effective leader? How can these traits be developed?

national industry standards to simple checklists developed within a department or section. An
awareness of the competency standards that exist for a position helps you gain the necessary
knowledge and skills for that position. Competency is the consistent application of knowledge and
skill to the standard of performance required in the workplace. Competence is an observable
behaviour performed to a specified level and therefore provides a basis for the assessment of
performance. A competent person has the knowledge, skills and attitude that enables them to perform

Variations of the Game of Cricket
Trobriand cricket, engaged by Trobriand Islanders, has been referred to as a distinct variation of
standard cricket. Christian missionaries originally introduced cricket to the islands as a sport to
discourage war among the populace. The sport has been extensively modified by the Trobriand society
through increasing the amount of players, dancing, chanting, and adjusted bats and balls. As the game
of cricket substituted war among the people of the island when war was forbidden, it has incorporated
most of the older traditions linked with war for the Trobriand nation. The sport also reflects the
objective of pride instead of ceremonial tradition, which was introduced to islands by their British
conqueror and the American soldier during World War II.
The Trobrianders of Papua New Guinea were usually horticulturists who demonstrated and achieved
prestige and manhood throughout contest. These rivalries included the ability to plant yams, the skill
of making good trades and acquiring valuables, and maintaining the strength of a fighter. Conversely,
when Europeans missionaries occupied the island, the Trobrianders were required to give up their
tradition of warfare. When this happened, they lost a cultural outlet necessary to preserve the political
society and equilibrium of power between the Australasian islands. In order to complement this loss,
the missionaries initiated the game of cricket to the islanders, soothing their competitive character.

The Man Who Was Almost A Man Essay
Illustrations of Authors and Their Relations to Modernism There are many authors that I had an
opportunity of choosing for this essay. I have chosen these two authors because they both have the
same ideas about the modern period, but express it in different ways. Loy expresses her experiences in
Feminist Manifesto during this time as being unequal to men. Wright expresses his difficulties in The
Man Who Was Almost A Man of being considered as a man . As you can see from above, both have
issues dealing with the fact that no one wants to observe them as more than what they have known
them to be. Dave, wants to be considered a man. Loy wants to be recognized as more than just a
woman. Equality is the common ground between the two authors and I will illustrate the similarities
between the two in addition to their view on modernism. Wright s story is one of Modernism due to
his view on the fundamental shift of a human. Dave (Main cp as a man and not as a ... Show more

However, her view of the Modernism could be considered as one of all women in this time period.
Loy completely rejects the notion that a woman is no equal to man in her work Feminist Manifesto
(Loy, 1914). Instead she portrays man as being an enemy of woman while attempting to obtain
dominance within society. Loy then implicates that in order for woman to even be remotely
considered as an equal of man she would have to be desuxialized and unlovable (Loy, 1914). In doing
so, she demonstrates that if women were to remove emotion completely from male female relations an
adequate attempt to gain both recognition. Throughout reading Feminist Manifesto (Loy, 1914) she
indicates the want for change in the treatment of women. Not physical treatment, more so rather
emotional and mental. Women of this time period were fighting for equality amongst men. Although
in most cases, women are still fighting, this was a good step forward in achieving her goal of
recognition of

Teamwork In A Team
Two heads are better than one. We ve all heard the old adage encouraging teamwork. Of course with
more minds set on a specific goal, more ideas you access. So, we can finish our works on time. The
process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal is what we call
teamwork. When people work in a team, they will try to cooperate with each others, use their
individual skills and providing constructive feedback. When a team works well together as a unit they
are able to accomplish more than its individual members can do alone. Different members apply
different skills, they are often able to come up with a more effective solution than one person working
on the same problem. Teamwork is absolutely fundamental for teams to work effectively. A team
combines individual s.trengths with a shared commitment to performance, it s not just about getting on
well together. That s why I like to work in a team. Only when joined the strengths ang skill of
individual team members with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With real teamwork, we tend to see positive attitudes and behaviours such as sharing a common vision
of the future together. People also willing to help others when they needed. The biggest reason I like
to work in a team is teamwork making the work more efficient. First and foremost, working in a team
will make the work more efficient because it helps to increase the productivity of our work. When
people with different opinions and experiences work together, more ideas get generated and we can
finish our work faster. If a job requires 5 days for one person to finish, then it will just be done in 3
days with a group of people. Besides, it not only increasing the productivy, it also upgrade the quality
of the work. This is because when people work together, they can easily see each other s mistakes and
fix them perfectly. Everybody makes mistakes, but it s good to have someone fixing the mistakes we

Evaluation Of Proposed Design And Necessary Corrective Action
Assignment No: 1
Title :
Review of proposed design and necessary corrective action is taking to consider and submit
publication/presentation details with review report.
Objectives :
1. Constructing a semantic taxonomy for the land cover classification of satellite images. 2.
Classifying satellite images according to their types such as vegetation, building, water etc.
3. Implementing MapReduce for processing large amount of data (Satellite Images).
Introduction :
Satellite images play a major role in today s world in real time event detection. These events may vary
from changing landforms, depleting glaciers to catastrophic events like earthquakes, tsunamis and
sand storms. The drastic changes after such events need to be monitored and capturing satellite images
for such event detection can be helpful. The idea behind this project is to detect the changing
landforms across different vegetations, store this data, classify it on the basis of certain specified
parameters and retrieve the classified data using well defined mechanisms. Segmentation and event
detection is highly scalable in satellite images. With the increasing need to have real time, classified
data for specific applications there is an increasing need to store this chunk of data in a distributed
environment to have better access. The basic idea to is to capture the satellite images and store them in
a distributed environment. The environment to be chosen is Hadoop Distributed Environment. Hadoop

Gaius Julius Caesar s Impact On The Classical Era
Gaius Julius Caesar, one of history s greatest generals was said to be born on the 12th or 13th of July
in the year 100 BC (Before Christ).Caesar s supreme leadership traits had been stemmed directly from
his Roman roots. And had allowed him to achieve many successful campaigns between the years 49

as referred to by Source A . This spread of positive influences had then laid down the foundations for
Rome to continually dominate the politics of Europe, North Africa and the Near East completely from
the 1st century BC (100 BC) 4th century AD(400 years After the Death of Christ). However, Gaius
Julius Caesar has also been blamed as being one who brought negative influences on the Classical Era.

House Of The Spirits Essay
From the first lines of The House of the Spirits, Allende uses the technique of a feminized magical
realism to pull the reader into a political historical novel. Alba Trueba from Allende s The House of
the Spirits is an effective example of this revolutionary female narration. Her story, which includes her
female relatives viewpoints and excludes Trueba s version, is a direct block to Trueba s egotistic, stiff,
and not exactly true version of events. Her woman centered narration is, further, a symbol of the
triumph of women s expression and their revision of patriarchal and authoritarian history. Alba

grandmother s diaries, her mother s letters, and many other family documents, to assemble the family

Culture In Sports Culture
Without understanding a culture s sports, we cannot understand the culture itself (Gorn and Oriard,
1995). The defining parts of a culture can also shape a country s history. A large part of the Greek
identity is being the nation that began the Olympics hundreds of years ago. As America began to
mature, sports helped to shape its identity as well. One piece of America s identity is that it was and is
home to millions of immigrants from all over the world. The music to one of the most recognized
sports songs in America, Take Me Out to the Ballgame , was composed by Albert Von Tilzer, a first
generation Jewish immigrant (Patterson, 2008). Individuals and groups have contributed to making
America s history of sports what it is today. African Americans and women are two of the most
discussed groups when it comes to United States sports history. Jackie Robinson is credited with being
the first African American to play in the major leagues and may well have been the most influential
black American of the past 50 years, (Gorn and Oriard, 1995). His work allowed the 1971 Pittsburgh
Pirates to field the first all African American and Latino line up twenty four years later. To this day, he
is honored throughout baseball on April 15th every year. His number, 42, is retired throughout the
majors, and is only ever worn on Jackie Robinson Day. Decades after his death, Jackie Robinson is

The Importance Of Mental Health Counseling
Mental Health counseling can be described as a therapy for people with emotional problems that affect
their day to day lives. One loses control of their own lives, needs skills, encouragement and help to
change their behaviors, which could be causing them to feel hopeless.
Wellness is helping a client by achieving their highest level of functioning through mind, body, and
spirit. Counselors must help their clients to become well again. By doing this Mental Health
Counselors should examine the client to see where their weaknesses are and their strength are. This
will give the Mental Health counselor a plan to help them reach balance in their life.
Resilience is a way someone deals with their stress and life concerns. In order for one to achieve
wellness, they must have resilience. The Counselor must help clients learn skills needed to deal with
their issues at hand and to be able to overcome or at least be able to handle them, so they can become
mentally well.
Counseling in the nineteenth century began when people started talking about their emotional
problems and was practiced in the form of advice. Earlier they called themselves social advocates,
teachers and helped people in education, legal reforms, and employment guidance. Sigmund Freud
developed the theory of psychoanalysis where it focused on the internal conflicts and brought about
psychotherapy. In the early 1900 s three pioneer s contributed to the advancement of counseling:
Frank Parsons, Jessie B Davis, and Clifford Beers. These important benchmarks helped to spread its
practice. First, in 1913 the national vocational guidance association (NVGA) the forerunner of today s
American Counseling Association. Second, in 1917 the Smith s Huge act provided public school
funding for vocational education. Last, the Army s psychological screening devices were set for
psychological testing.
Addiction Counseling has a history as early as native American advocacy leaders. In the nineteenth
century, temperance missionaries had lay alcohol therapists, and paraprofessional counselors worked
into the twentieth century and contributed to the evolution of modern addiction counseling as a
specialized profession.
Addiction counseling addresses the problems related to

State Regulation On Uber And Cab Drivers Essay
Introduction
The history of regulation could be traced back to the ancient civilizations such as standardized weights
and measures in ancient Rome, paper currency system in China, and others including Egyptian, Indian
and Greek ( Plagiarism, Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia). In the modern society, governments
choose to intervene to correct market failure, to achieve an equitable distribution of income and
wealth and to improve the performance of economy (Geoff, 2006), such as the debate on state
regulation on Uber and cab drivers in WNPR News recently in the United State. In the meanwhile,
one of the key economic questions, what variables contribute the difference in levels of growth of
GDP among countries, has a continuing discussion among economists in their papers. Is there any
casual relationship between regulation and growth of GDP? Hall and Jones (1999) showed in their
papers that the performance of regulation acts a vital role of growth of GDP and found that richer
countries today had better political and economic institutions in the past. Based on previous finding in
this topic, exploring how differently growth of GDP performances with the variability of regulation is
beneficial to find out expected performance of government in regulation in economics in the purpose
of promoting better growth of economic. Thus, this paper will focus on exploring how to evaluate the
effect of government regulation in economic area in terms of Gross Domestic Product growth. The

The Classifications Of Augmented Reality
4.2 Classifications of Augmented reality
There are two types of simple augmented reality: marker based which uses cameras and visual cues,
and marker less which use positional data such as a mobile s GPS and compass.
i) Marker based AR
Various types of markers are images that can be detected by a camera, and used by the software as the
location for virtual assets placed in a scene. Most of them are black and white markers. Simple
augmented reality markers can consist of some basic shapes made up of black squares against a white
background. More elaborate markers can be created using simple images that are still read properly by
a camera, and these codes can even take the form of tattoos.
ii) Marker less AR
In marker less augmented reality the image is gathered from the internet and displayed on a particular
location (gathered using GPS). The application doesn t require a marker to display the content. It is
more interactive than marker based augmentation.
4.3 AR based approach
The feature of the software platform that enables to visualize applications is Vuforia [web based tool]

Planning For An Effective Storage Solution
Introduction Planning for an effective storage solution, whether it is on premise or off premise can be
a challenging task. Off premise planning becomes more complicated as the components that make up
the storage network are generally in the control of the cloud provider. It becomes critical to maintain
the integrity and security of the data, while still offering a seamless storage solution to the business.
The business user does not care where the data is located, or where an application is hosted. It must be
available as needed, with little to no noticeable performance degradation. High Availability DFS

DFS replication is taken into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is bad enough when the local, business network becomes unavailable, but if the Internet link goes
offline, it may take longer to resolve as the provider s network engineers are generally responsible for
getting it back online. It is often difficult to create hybrid systems that integrate with on premise and
off premise systems, and storage. There may be business reasons why there is a need for a hybrid
solution, and the cost and complexity of integrating storage and server systems may not be
advantageous to the organization despite the benefits. Data integrity and security is an additional risk,
and one that should not be taken lightly. The fact is, the cloud service has company data. While it is
true that there are likely contracts and security measures in place to provide assurance that the data
integrity and security will remained unchanged, high profile providers are excellent candidates for
threat actors. Despite this, there are benefits as well. The high profile companies likely invest far more
in security measures than most companies would be willing to do. This offloads the security
requirements to the provider, while allowing the organization to benefit from the high availability, cost
reduction, and increased efficiency of cloud services (Weintraub Cohen, 2016). Virtual Infrastructure
High Availability Virtual infrastructure is here to stay in the modern information technology world.
More services and critical applications will depend on the virtual

Compare And Contrast Petruchio And Kate In Taming Of The...
Victor Vernick Honors English Mr. Kupersmith 29, May 2018 Are Petruchio and Kate a match made
in heaven? To all the married men in this world, does it ever occur in your mind if your significant
other still belongs in your life? While that might be a question for some, we all know that Kate and
Petruchio make a great couple. But, one might ask, isn t it true that Kate and Petruchio would not
make a good couple because they argue with one another often. This may convince some people;
however, it does not address all the facts. In William Shakespeare s, Taming of the Shrew, Kate and
Petruchio are a perfect match because of their similar personalities. Petruchio and Kate are very much
alike in the way that they are honest about everything. In Act 2 Scene 1, Kate has been caught by
Baptista holding Bianca hostage. She sees that Baptista is protecting her from Kate and says, ... Show

In Act 2 Scene 1, Katherina and Petruchio are meeting for the first time. They get into a heated
argument. Kate: Moved in good time! Let him that moved you hither Remove you hence. I knew you

Thou hast hit it. Come sit on me . Kate: Asses are made to bear, and so are you . Petruchio: Women are
made to bear and so are you (II.i.191 196). This verbatim evidence would give the appearance that
Kate and Petruchio might not be a good match because, in that scene, they have only just met and are
instantly being aggressive towards one another by trading insults. In Act 4 Scene 5, Petruchio and
Kate are on their way back to Baptista s home. Petruchio is arguing with Kate over whether or not it is
night or day. Petruchio: Come on, a God s name! Once more toward our father s . Kate: The moon?

Battle Of Arabia Essay
Lawrence of Arabia bolstered the Allied Powers through the capture of Damascus by reinforcing
General Allenby s forces and in the process he demonstrated his innovative leadership. Wanting to
advance north against the Turks, Allenby required assistance from the Arabs to attack the Fourth Army
of the Turks east of the Jordan River. To accomplish that, Allenby needed Lawrence, who seemed to
be the only person who could get the Arabs to fight in an organized way (Korda 379). Considering
Allenby s request, Lawrence altered the proposed strategy to have the Arabs attack Ma an and the
southern railway. Instead, Lawrence believed it would be best to attack the railway from the north of
Ma an. (Korda 379). Furthermore, knowing that the Turks would ... Show more content on

These tribes rallied with Allenby s army and resulted in a defeat of the Ottomans at Deraa (Mack 163).
Importantly, this success at Deraa diminished the already dwindling Turks forces, setting them up for
defeat at Damascus. On September 19th, the day that Allenby captured Damascus, the Turkish forces
were bombarded for fifteen minutes at 4:30 am by 385 guns. This full scale infantry assault with
artillery barrage drove the Turks from their bunker. So firmly had the Turks been convinced that the
assault would be toward the Jordan River that they had thinned out their infantry on the coastal plain,
and their defenses quickly crumbled (Korda 411). At about nine in the morning on Tuesday, (October
1,) Lawrence and Stirling drove into Damascus to find scenes of jubilation. Nuri Shaalan and Nasir
had already entered the city, and the narrow streets of the old city of Damascus were aflame with joy
and enthusiasm (Barr 297). After the successful assault on Damascus, presses reported that Colonel
Lawrence played a part of the greatest importance in the Palestine victory. They also notably
mentioned the tactics he used at Deraa (Wilson

Characteristics Of Giles Corey In The Crucible
Is it possible for somebody to go to court thirty three times and win all those times? For Giles Corey
in The Crucible. Giles Corey has been to court that amount of times and has won all those times. Giles
Corey is married to Martha and lives in Salem. Sadly, in The Crucible Giles gets arrested for contempt
of court and is pressed to death for not giving a yes or no answer to being convicted of witchcraft.
Giles Corey and I share the traits sarcastic, determined, and loyal.
Giles Corey and I have sarcastic as a common trait. In The Crucible, Giles Corey is known for his
sarcastic humor using one liners during the play. This kind of humor is also mine. For example in Act
I, Giles says Let s get your lumber home, John. I feel a sudden will to work coming on. when Thomas
Putnam was arguing with John Proctor over land. I also go this to my friends when they argue. Just
like Giles Corey, I have comments for almost everything. Sometimes I say them out loud to friends or
just think of them in class to myself. I m known for being sarcastic to my friends that know me well,
just like Giles is to his friend John Proctor. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Giles is most known in Salem for going to court thirty three times and winning all the trials for land.
Hearing how Giles is determined to get the land, I can also relate to that trait. For example, just this
year I got my first job all on my own. I filled out applications with some help but got an interview and
the job all on my own. Just like Giles I was also set on another goal, being Alice for my Alice In
Wonderland ballet dance last year. I worked hard and beat out the other girls receiving Alice s part.
Exactly like how Giles won all his

Evaluation of Baumol s Model
Introduction Generally in business, there is a trade off between selling many units at a low price and
selling only a few units at a high price. There are different managerial models in a firm embodying
different assumptions like the Profit Maximization Model which is a traditional model, the Marris
Model, the Williamson Model and the Baumol Model. This write up will focus on understanding
management preferences in terms of price, revenue and profit maximization, critically evaluate the
management model of Baumol and review the extent to which the Baumol model provides a more
useful insight into pricing and output decisions of modern management. ... Show more content on

In this respect, certain characteristics are identifiable about the internal and external processes
involved for organizations within such markets. Baumol recognizes that since it is large organizations
that are most likely to be competitors within an oligopoly, then the chains of control and decision
making are likely to be elongated. It is therefore considered that more likely that it will take longer to
arrive at and implement decisions within such organizations than within smaller competitors. Within
the market, it is claimed that there is tacit collusion between organizations to maintain the status quo.
These incumbents, once the oligopoly has settled down into an equilibrium position, are able to enjoy
a quiet life and split the profits between them. Additionally, there may be a general lack of interest on
the part of organizations to compete in their markets unless actions are undertaken by others to upset
the current situation. Other justifications for the sales revenue maximization model include: The
imposition of a minimum profit constraint on management by shareholders ensures that their concerns
are met, while it would be more difficult to set and measure a maximum requirement. Increasing level
of sales are

Elks Should Support Veterans
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to meet with me, Paul Helsel, Shawn Bullard and
Jennifer Naaden. We appreciated the opportunity to speak with you and Dr. Eason about the many
programs the Elks have nationally and locally in supporting veterans.
As discussed in our meeting, the Elks would very much like to be part of the coalition you are
developing to better understand and address the needs of veterans. Each and every day, the Elks are
interacting with veterans at VA hospitals and nursing homes, at their lodges through programs for
veterans, by giving veterans the financial support and home furnishing to exit homelessness and much
more. The work we do with veterans would bring significant value in crafting policy to honor and

The Themes Of Intertemporal Price Relationships And...
Over the past hundred years, the topics of intertemporal price relationships and commodity storage
have yielded a diverse range of research questions, and a number of interrelated, yet sometimes
contradicting theories. This chapter gives a summary of the most influential theories on these subjects,
and relates them to the thesis. The four main themes identified are the theory of normal
backwardation, the theory of price of storage, the theory of competitive storage and the spatial
temporal interpretation of storage. The main contributions to the literature will be grouped along these
themes, in a more or less chronological order. It must be noted that with the passage of time,
competing commodity storage theories evolved and interacted with one another in a way that
categorizing individual articles into one of the four main themes identified is a considerable challenge
on its own. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this review is expected to shed light on the most important controversies researchers faced
in relation to intertemporal price relationships, and summarizes the answers they have given. In this
chapter, a selection of studies and articles on the subjects of stationarity, unit roots and bubbles,
hedging and decision making and behavioural economics are also discussed. These are more loosely
connected to the broad topics of intertemporal price relationships and commodity storage, but are
closely related to the study. The chapter is concluded with a summary of observations about the
development of intertemporal price relationships and the driving forces behind, approaching from a
practical, grain industry focussed

Shapley-Curtis Argumentative Essay
Before the Shapley Curtis Debate most people were under the impression that the sun was the center
of the galaxy, and the universe. Most people couldn t grasp the idea that there was a bigger world in
space beyond our planet, the sun and our moon. While we saw stars in the night sky, the idea that our
universe was as vast and complex as it is seemed unreasonable. In 1920, Harlow Shapley showed just
how vast the Milky Way was. However Shapley did not believe that there was anything more to our
universe than our galaxy. He believed that because it was so big that nothing else could possibly be
out there. His opponent, Heber Curtis, argued that the Milky Way galaxy was not as big as Shapley
said, but that he believed that there was more to the universe than just our galaxy. ... Show more

Curtis argued that while yes, the Milky Way did spin much like a whirlpool, the spiral nebulae were
not on the same level that the Milky Way is, and like the whirlpool the nebulae were like birds that
flew over the water of the whirlpool. With this in mind Curtis argued that the nebulae had to be
outside of our galaxy, and since they spun similar to the Milky Way, he believed that they were
separate galaxies much like our own.
It was Shapley s argument that some of the stars in the spiral nebulae had to be huge because of how
bright they were and that they had to be very far away. He was correct in this argument; however
Curtis was also correct that the same stars might be doing something different than what Shapley
thought they were. Curtis suggested that these stars could be undergoing something new and different.
Today we call the anomaly that the enormous stars were having a supernova. It had been known for a
while that some stars go nova when they are dying, however these supernova were a different class by

Vivaldi Instrumedeley Analysis
The two concerts I have chosen are different in many ways, but the music itself has a lot in common.
For the first concert I chose the progressive rock group Dream Theater. I chose the piece Instrumedley
from their Live at Budokan video released in 2004. This video depicts the band setup on stage in the
typical rock concert format. The lighting is bright and multicolored. Unlike most rock concerts, the
musicians do not animate themselves to excite the crowd. They rely on the mastery of their
instruments to provide the excitement.
The second concert is a performance of Vivaldi s Concerto Grosso in D minor. It is performed by the
Franz Listz Chamber Orchestra. The setting is that of a small gothic church in Hungary. There is no
audience as the venue is used solely for the acoustics.
The band Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985. The members met
while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Their music focuses on three
core elements: metal, progressive roots and melody. Dream Theater has been known to make use of
elements of other musical styles to include classical music. The piece I selected, Instrumedely , is a

his pieces for string orchestra. One of his most famous of these is his set of concertos for solo violin

sequence is entrancing as the two violins tend to echo off one another. The acoustics of the gothic
church lend itself perfectly to the style of music. The details in the melody are clearly heard while
there is a rich bass sound thanks to the echo of the church. I found the piece to be rather relaxing while
being impressed by the complexity. It is no surprise that so many modern guitarists borrow heavy

The Permissive Parenting Style
In the article Don t trust anyone over 30 study explained correlation between parental legitimacy, the
three parenting styles and the predicted outcome of delinquent behavior. The three main parenting
styles covered were; authoritative, authoritarian and permissive. It states that the parenting styles that
is practice at home could be one of the potential factor that contributes to the future criminal behavior
and parental legitimacy tends to intercede between the two. The group that were being studied
consisted of middle and high school students from the New Hampshire Youth Study . The research
included three phases (T1, T2 T3 questionnaires) in a longitudinal study that lasted about 18 months.
The results were that authoritative parenting style had a more positive association with parental
legitimacy versus authoritarian parenting style. There was no association between permissive
parenting style and parental legitimacy, but it was associated with delinquent behavior. Lastly, parental

The Key Elements Of Trust
When working with clients on trust, many of whom work for corporations and are faced with issues of
trust (or lack thereof) daily, understanding the three key elements of trust can be very helpful to them.
My guess is they will also be helpful to you first in enabling you to better distinguish specifically why
you don t trust someone and second in helping you become more effective in building trust yourself
(or repairing it when damaged).
To illustrate the inter relationship between the three core elements of trust, picture this in your mind.
Envision three circles drawn on a piece of paper all interlocking together in a Venn diagram so that
each overlaps with each other and in the middle, is a space in which all three overlap. That space
symbolizes the presence of all three elements of trust.
Whenever a person is perceived to act in a way that undermines trust in any of these three areas, trust
overall is diminished. Let s take a look now at each one of these areas.
Competence: The element of competence is what I call domain specific in that it depends on what area
of expertise or skill you are assessing someone to be trustworthy in. For instance, I trust my husband
implicitly; but I wouldn t trust him to give me a root canal. You may trust your spouse or a colleague
to be sincere and reliable, but would you may not trust them enough to remove the dead tree from
your backyard or do your tax return (you get the idea?). So the question you want to ask here is

NHL Draft Game Analysis
The auction market occurs during the NHL draft. The draft lottery is a weighted system implemented
to determine the order of selection in the first round of the draft. The 14 teams that missed the playoffs
during the previous NHL season are awarded the first 14 picks. Teams 15 through 31 are set after the
Stanley Cup playoffs. They draft in order of the fewest points scored in that season to the most points,
subject to the results of the draft lottery. The Draft Lottery is utilized to assign the top 3 drafting slots

Teams must select the perfect combination of skilled players and enforcers (Jones, Nadeau Walsh,
1997). In addition to battling other enforcers, these players try to limit the success of opposing skill
players. The study suggests that the rougher and more violent a player is, the higher his salary, thus
incentivizing violence in the game of hockey. A culture of violence is embraced, rather than
discouraged. This violence trickles down from the ice to the crowds and to younger generations in
amateur leagues (Jones, Ferguson Sunderman, 1996). In an analysis that reflected on the culture of the
NHL, the author argued the extraordinary amount of emphasis on winning helps, either directly or
indirectly, in promoting a violent culture in the game. He added that the NHL is perhaps the only
sport, professional or otherwise, that encourages the use of physical intimidation outside the rules as a
legitimate tactic (McMurtry, 1974). The attempt to sell hockey to a wide audience in the U.S. is more
easily undertaken because understanding a hockey brawl is easier than learning the intricacies and
finesse of the game (McMurtry,

  • 2. Immigration On The United States Immigration has emerged as a hot topic of concern over the last couple of decades but in reality the problem of immigration goes far beyond the realms of recent decades. With President Trump s intentions to build a wall to stop Mexicans from entering U.S. to the proposed ban of 7 nations, immigration has never been a more prevalent problem. The recent years however have given birth to a form of immigration that was not considered to be dominant before, refugees and displaced people are viewed differently from people who colonized various parts of the world in the early 17th, 18th and 19th century. Today when one thinks of immigrants, Middle Eastern, Indians and Africans spring mind but British and French people never do. Why is that so? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Which goes without saying if one was not white, they were not considered to be citizens or even immigrants. An interesting outline of white hierarchy presented by (Higham, 1977) explains how within the white race, Mediterranean, Alpines, and Nordics, where the with true Americans being cast as Nordics. Additionally, he also warned about the mongrelization that could be resulted from true Americans mixing with inferior types of whites. This point highlights that there were was a perceived difference between white as well. The (Naturalization Act of 1870) almost a 100 years later it was extended the possibility of naturalization to persons of African nativity and African descent , while also keeping in mind that other races were still not considered to be immigrants. To understand this relationship better, the coloniality of being and the debates of which race was/is superior and which was inferior led to these problems we face today. Present day, the race and immigration have a slightly different relationship. Since 1960s, immigration has had a very large impact on American society and there has been an increasing diversity of the nonwhite population of the United States, which has contributed to the fear of loss of control in domination amongst many white supremacists. It is evident after looking at various polls, examinations applications or any form in general, there are categories in which individuals are divided for the purpose of analysis, i.e. Whites, ... • 3. Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems There are several methods to solve multi criteria decision making problems. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty. AHP endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is used when the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity happens because of the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria. Generally we can say The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]: Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and decomposed into a rational system like a network Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria. Furthermore, interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the influence of each element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative importance values are determined with Saaty s nine scales. Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is ... • 5. Why Was Chopin Considered A Music Composer In The 19th... Music becomes a part in our daily life. We often hear music on radios, in the stores, or with our smartphone. I love music and want to investigate it more. Therefore, I chose a music composer in the 19th century, Frédéric François Chopin, in order to analyze the development or incarceration of ideologies to the current century. Frédéric François Chopin, who was born in 1810, was a Polish composer on the Romantic era. His talent appeared very early, which on the age of seven Chopin already composed two polonaises. Chopin then went abroad to Europe to learn about musical life and wanted to be renown. People acclaimed him as piano genius and great composer due to his extremely success performances. • 6. Things Fall Apart Masculinity Essay Julie Weiner Mr. Esposito Period 6 3/4/18 The Poison of Masculinity in Things Fall Apart Chinua Achebe s postcolonial narrative Things Fall Apart gives insight into the lives and values of the Igbo, an ethnic group from southeastern Nigeria. The novel covers the period of time before and during the process of colonization by the Christians by following Okonkwo, a strong and wealthy Igbo man, through his successes and faults. One important value of Igbo society that Things Fall Apart focuses on is masculinity, an emphasized characteristic for the Igbo that stresses strength, brutality, and overall dominance of men. We specifically see the effects of masculinity on Okonkwo, who becomes so focused on his manliness that it becomes poisonous to himself and those around him. Toxic masculinity is defined by the Good Men Project as a narrow and repressive description of manhood, designating manhood as defined by violence, sex, status, and aggression. It s the cultural ideal of manliness, where strength is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He is aggressive to his own family members, and even resorts to murder multiple times in attempts to establish his dominance over others. While masculinity and acts of strength were valued in Igbo society, Okonkwo took it too far and his actions ended up hurting rather than helping. We see the same issue paralleled in modern society, where men feel pressured to prove their masculinity in ways that may be harmful to others. Toxic masculinity may even be the driving force behind some mass shootings or other acts of hate. In the novel, it is clear that Okonkwo lost all respect from his family and clansmen; and in the end he committed suicide without honor or esteem. Men all over the world should use Okonkwo as an example of how toxic masculinity can ruin their lives and reputations, ultimately ruining those around them as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Fever Book Report Fever is a wonderful historical fiction by Laurie Halse Anderson. She has written many historical novels and Fever is one of her greatest works. This story took place in Philadelphia in 1793, when yellow fever just began to strike and kill thousands of people . Matilda Cook little Mattie is a daughter of a coffee shop owner. She s a fourteen year old girl who works for her widowed mother. She works with a girl named Polly and a kitchen cook Eliza, a woman from the Free African Society. Like Mattie, Anne lived in a frightful time of the World War II, when the Nazis killed many Jews, blaming that they were the reason why Germany was defeated in the World War I. Both Mattie and Anne had to leave their homes and hid somewhere else in order to survive. Both of them had to watch people die at very young ages. But they had one good thing in common. Mattie and Anne did not give up their hope and courage even in heartbreaking moments. They tried to look at the bright side when many people only saw the opposite. This book might have focused mainly on yellow fever and Mattie s survival at that time, but I think the change that occurred inside her was important, as well. I wasn t really a big fan of historical fictions because I didn t like reading books that looked like social studies textbooks. I especially didn t want to read this book because there was a huge 1793 written on the cover. But lots of people recommended this book to me and so I decided to give it a shot. After I read the first 2 chapters, I couldn t get my hands off of it. The story was fantastic and inspiring. I liked the way how the author included direct quotes from that time in every chapter, since it was fun trying to predict what would happen while reading them. I highly recommend this book to everyone around my age. By reading this book, they will also realize that historical novels are as good as fantasy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Presentism In Thomas Jefferson The United States, a developing nation, remained under the influence of idealism and paradox for a period of time, and thus were incapable of being self sufficient enough to run a country on their own. They relied on England to protect them and practically run the colonies from overseas. Subsequently, America joined the family of nations that preaches men are created to be equal. This notion is expressed in Thomas Jefferson s Declaration of Independence. Though in the past Jefferson was seen as the greatest founder of the United States, today his more unknown attributes in the nation have come to be a topic of discussion, making a debatable conversation about the concept of presentism arise. Today, Thomas Jefferson is examined and evaluated from many different perspectives of his career during his lifetime in both adequate and deficient aspects, arousing the question if founding fathers, like Jefferson, should be remembered for their highest achievements, or for their individual failures and how the concept of presentism disarrays these outlooks. Born in 1743, Thomas Jefferson lived and breathed an age of slavery in America, which greatly impacted his life choices. The question, How could this man possess such a number of slaves if he himself was working for a nation of abolishment? arises due to the concept today of presentism. Presentism is defined as having an opinion of the past which is heavily influenced by the attitudes and experiences of the present day. Hence, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What makes a good role model and how can I ensure that I act as a role model for employees I supervise? The definition of a role model is a person whose behaviour, example or success can be emulated by others, especially young people. Their values, actions and behaviours are upheld as an ideal and to be desired. Being a role model may not be taken in its entirety. It can be broken down allowing a person to be a role model in one area and not another. Being a manager is not a guarantee to be a role model. Good leaders will model behaviours that encourage employees to endorse organisational goals and objectives. By modelling the behaviours you find desirable and that will help reach company gaols others will also begin to model said behaviours. 2. What are the traits of an effective leader? • 11. Variations of the Game of Cricket Trobriand cricket, engaged by Trobriand Islanders, has been referred to as a distinct variation of standard cricket. Christian missionaries originally introduced cricket to the islands as a sport to discourage war among the populace. The sport has been extensively modified by the Trobriand society through increasing the amount of players, dancing, chanting, and adjusted bats and balls. As the game of cricket substituted war among the people of the island when war was forbidden, it has incorporated most of the older traditions linked with war for the Trobriand nation. The sport also reflects the objective of pride instead of ceremonial tradition, which was introduced to islands by their British conqueror and the American soldier during World War II. The Trobrianders of Papua New Guinea were usually horticulturists who demonstrated and achieved prestige and manhood throughout contest. These rivalries included the ability to plant yams, the skill of making good trades and acquiring valuables, and maintaining the strength of a fighter. Conversely, when Europeans missionaries occupied the island, the Trobrianders were required to give up their tradition of warfare. When this happened, they lost a cultural outlet necessary to preserve the political society and equilibrium of power between the Australasian islands. In order to complement this loss, the missionaries initiated the game of cricket to the islanders, soothing their competitive character. Even though this game was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Man Who Was Almost A Man Essay Illustrations of Authors and Their Relations to Modernism There are many authors that I had an opportunity of choosing for this essay. I have chosen these two authors because they both have the same ideas about the modern period, but express it in different ways. Loy expresses her experiences in Feminist Manifesto during this time as being unequal to men. Wright expresses his difficulties in The Man Who Was Almost A Man of being considered as a man . As you can see from above, both have issues dealing with the fact that no one wants to observe them as more than what they have known them to be. Dave, wants to be considered a man. Loy wants to be recognized as more than just a woman. Equality is the common ground between the two authors and I will illustrate the similarities between the two in addition to their view on modernism. Wright s story is one of Modernism due to his view on the fundamental shift of a human. Dave (Main cp as a man and not as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, her view of the Modernism could be considered as one of all women in this time period. Loy completely rejects the notion that a woman is no equal to man in her work Feminist Manifesto (Loy, 1914). Instead she portrays man as being an enemy of woman while attempting to obtain dominance within society. Loy then implicates that in order for woman to even be remotely considered as an equal of man she would have to be desuxialized and unlovable (Loy, 1914). In doing so, she demonstrates that if women were to remove emotion completely from male female relations an adequate attempt to gain both recognition. Throughout reading Feminist Manifesto (Loy, 1914) she indicates the want for change in the treatment of women. Not physical treatment, more so rather emotional and mental. Women of this time period were fighting for equality amongst men. Although in most cases, women are still fighting, this was a good step forward in achieving her goal of recognition of ... So, we can finish our works on time. The process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal is what we call teamwork. When people work in a team, they will try to cooperate with each others, use their individual skills and providing constructive feedback. When a team works well together as a unit they are able to accomplish more than its individual members can do alone. Different members apply different skills, they are often able to come up with a more effective solution than one person working on the same problem. When people with different opinions and experiences work together, more ideas get generated and we can finish our work faster. If a job requires 5 days for one person to finish, then it will just be done in 3 days with a group of people. Besides, it not only increasing the productivy, it also upgrade the quality of the work. Evaluation Of Proposed Design And Necessary Corrective Action Assignment No: 1 Title : Review of proposed design and necessary corrective action is taking to consider and submit publication/presentation details with review report. Objectives : 1. Constructing a semantic taxonomy for the land cover classification of satellite images. 2. Classifying satellite images according to their types such as vegetation, building, water etc. 3. Implementing MapReduce for processing large amount of data (Satellite Images). Introduction : Satellite images play a major role in today s world in real time event detection. These events may vary from changing landforms, depleting glaciers to catastrophic events like earthquakes, tsunamis and sand storms. The drastic changes after such events need to be monitored and capturing satellite images for such event detection can be helpful. The idea behind this project is to detect the changing landforms across different vegetations, store this data, classify it on the basis of certain specified parameters and retrieve the classified data using well defined mechanisms. Segmentation and event detection is highly scalable in satellite images. With the increasing need to have real time, classified data for specific applications there is an increasing need to store this chunk of data in a distributed environment to have better access. The basic idea to is to capture the satellite images and store them in a distributed environment. The environment to be chosen is Hadoop Distributed Environment. Hadoop makes it ... Alba Trueba from Allende s The House of the Spirits is an effective example of this revolutionary female narration. Her story, which includes her female relatives viewpoints and excludes Trueba s version, is a direct block to Trueba s egotistic, stiff, and not exactly true version of events. Her woman centered narration is, further, a symbol of the triumph of women s expression and their revision of patriarchal and authoritarian history. Clara, Alba s grandmother, was already in the habit of documenting significant events and afterward, when she was voiceless on purpose, she also detailed insignificances, never suspecting that fifty years later, Alba, her granddaughter, would use her notebooks to regain the past and overcome fears. The defining parts of a culture can also shape a country s history. A large part of the Greek identity is being the nation that began the Olympics hundreds of years ago. As America began to mature, sports helped to shape its identity as well. One piece of America s identity is that it was and is home to millions of immigrants from all over the world. The music to one of the most recognized sports songs in America, Take Me Out to the Ballgame , was composed by Albert Von Tilzer, a first generation Jewish immigrant (Patterson, 2008). • 19. The Importance Of Mental Health Counseling Mental Health counseling can be described as a therapy for people with emotional problems that affect their day to day lives. One loses control of their own lives, needs skills, encouragement and help to change their behaviors, which could be causing them to feel hopeless. Wellness is helping a client by achieving their highest level of functioning through mind, body, and spirit. Counselors must help their clients to become well again. By doing this Mental Health Counselors should examine the client to see where their weaknesses are and their strength are. This will give the Mental Health counselor a plan to help them reach balance in their life. Resilience is a way someone deals with their stress and life concerns. In order for one to achieve wellness, they must have resilience. The Counselor must help clients learn skills needed to deal with their issues at hand and to be able to overcome or at least be able to handle them, so they can become mentally well. Counseling in the nineteenth century began when people started talking about their emotional problems and was practiced in the form of advice. Earlier they called themselves social advocates, teachers and helped people in education, legal reforms, and employment guidance. Sigmund Freud developed the theory of psychoanalysis where it focused on the internal conflicts and brought about psychotherapy. In the early 1900 s three pioneer s contributed to the advancement of counseling: Frank Parsons, Jessie B Davis, and Clifford Beers. These important benchmarks helped to spread its practice. First, in 1913 the national vocational guidance association (NVGA) the forerunner of today s American Counseling Association. Second, in 1917 the Smith s Huge act provided public school funding for vocational education. Last, the Army s psychological screening devices were set for psychological testing. In the modern society, governments choose to intervene to correct market failure, to achieve an equitable distribution of income and wealth and to improve the performance of economy (Geoff, 2006), such as the debate on state regulation on Uber and cab drivers in WNPR News recently in the United State. In the meanwhile, one of the key economic questions, what variables contribute the difference in levels of growth of GDP among countries, has a continuing discussion among economists in their papers. Is there any casual relationship between regulation and growth of GDP? Hall and Jones (1999) showed in their papers that the performance of regulation acts a vital role of growth of GDP and found that richer countries today had better political and economic institutions in the past. Based on previous finding in this topic, exploring how differently growth of GDP performances with the variability of regulation is beneficial to find out expected performance of government in regulation in economics in the purpose of promoting better growth of economic. Most people couldn t grasp the idea that there was a bigger world in space beyond our planet, the sun and our moon. While we saw stars in the night sky, the idea that our universe was as vast and complex as it is seemed unreasonable. In 1920, Harlow Shapley showed just how vast the Milky Way was. However Shapley did not believe that there was anything more to our universe than our galaxy. He believed that because it was so big that nothing else could possibly be out there.
