France has a population of 60.4 million people and a literacy rate of 99%. Its economy relies heavily on exports and has maintained a trade surplus in recent years. However, it faces challenges in sustaining its pension system as the ratio of retired to working-age people is projected to double by 2030. The document outlines France's policies to attract skilled foreign workers and facilitate international business, including residence permits, tax benefits for expatriates, and support for new companies through loans and grants. However, high taxes and limited water resources present difficulties for businesses operating in France.

PESTEL and Five Forces Analysis of Giorgio ArmaniLisa Fernando
Giorgio Armani is a well known fashion designer who owns and operates his self-named brand of clothing and is touted as Italy's most successful fashion designer.
Born on July 11, 1934 in Piacenza, Italy, Giorgio Armani originally planned on studying medicine and attended Milan University in order to become a doctor. Instead of pursuing the medical arts, however, Armani found his passion in photography. In 1957, at the age of 23, Armani was called on for military service with the Italian armed forces.
When he returned from service, Giorgio Armani took a job as a window dresser in a store named La Rinascente in Milan. Armani later credited his experience with the department store with helping him focus on his clean lines and elegant styles that would later serve as the trademark to his fashion lines.
After travelling back and forth to England, Armani took a job as a designer with the fashion house Nino Cerruti. He stayed there from 1961 to 1970 designing clothes for the Hitman line before leaving to work as a freelance designer.
His observations of English fashion served him well and his appreciation for clean lines helped him start his own label in 1974. He started his label with his friend and partner Sergio Galeotti and, in 1975, started a womenswear line with his sister, Rosanna Armani. Ten years later, after a successful decade of fashion, Galeotti died of AIDS.

Portugal is a unique European country to live or invest, evidencing, among other things, a pleasant all year climate, friendly people, passionate food, safety and a beautiful Atlantic coast-line with endless landscape views. Being part of EU since 1986, Portugal has seen significant growth since then, being now an indisputable modern western country, well-served in terms of network connections, business friendly laws, competitive and qualified professionals and, at the same time, a cost of living well below the EU average, which represents a clear advantage when you are thinking about investing or living abroad.

Guide "Make a French Start" : The French tax system
Mazars and Business France combined their expertise to help foreign investors and entrepreneurs who want to settle in France. Mazars has created practical guides that we hope will provide you with valuable insight to launch and grow your business in France.
The Portuguese tax regime for non-habitual residents is motivating high net worth individuals, pensioners and high value added professionals to relocate to Portugal, either on a permanent or on a temporary and expatriate basis. The regime is granted to individuals who become resident for tax purposes in Portugal without having been so in the five preceding years. Non-habitual resident individuals may enjoy such status for a ten-year period, after which they will be taxed under the standard regime. This regime may grant an exemption or reduced rate on foreign source income as well as a limited taxation on Portuguese domestic source income deriving from high value added activities. Our presentation does not contemplate changes envisaged by the proposed Budget Law for 2023 (an update will be made when such Law is approved).

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

3. Political system – republic
Capital city – Paris
Total area – 550,000 KM2
Population – 60.4 Million
Literacy Rate – 99%
Life Expectancy – 79.05 Years
4. Economy of France:
The share of France in world export and imports has been in
the range of 4.7% to 4.9% and 4.6% to 4.8% respectively
during 2002-04.
While countries like Greece Spain and Portugal have trade
deficit, France has been on the side with trade with trade
surplus trade balance of 11.2 billion in 2004 in the recent
years.
Although France economy has performed well in the past,
the country faces a daunting task in meeting with the fiscal
challenge posted by the ratio of people retired to those
employed doubling by 2030.
This has obvious implications for the sustainability of the
countries pension scheme.

7. International mobility for foreign company directors and employees
France has implemented international mobility measures designed to
help bring in skilled employees and facilitate intra-group employee
mobility. As such, multi-year residence permits have also been
introduced that provide foreign nationals and their families with a
complete legal framework. A ‘one-stop shop’ has been introduced in
selected departments at the French Immigration and Citizenship
Office (OFII) to improve the quality of service to companies.
Expatriate personnel in France also benefit from tax and social
security measures specifically designed to offset the costs of
expatriation.
8. Flexible conditions for nationals from the European union (EU) and the European economic area
(EEA)
EU, EEA and Swiss nationals are free to travel and work in France
without a visa, residence permit or work permit. They must simply
register with the mairie (municipal offices) of their commune within
three months of their arrival. Following the admission of Croatia to
the EU on July 1, 2013, only Croatian nationals are subject to
specific rules during a transition period expected to end by 2020.
During this time, Croatian nationals must obtain a work permit for
any work performed as an employee. There are no restrictions on
them finding work in one of the 291 sectors listed by the Ministerial
Order of October 1, 2012. With the exception of regulated
professions, commercial and industrial professions are not subject
to any restrictions.
9. Applying for a work permit for a short -term stay in France
The originating company sends a completed temporary work
permit application to the French local employment authorities
(Unité territoriale) at least three weeks before the arrival of
the foreign employee to obtain a temporary work permit.
The temporary work permit is valid for up to 90 days; the
short-stay visa cannot be renewed and the company must
ensure that the validity periods for the work permit and the
visa correspond. For foreign companies that regularly send
employees to their subsidiaries in France for assignments shorter
than 90 days, a government memorandum on November 12,
2010 allows them to apply for an annual work permit. Employees
can use this work permit to obtain a multiple-entry short-term visa
from their local Consulate which is valid for 12 months.
10. Government support for business
>>Subsidized or interest-free loans
>>Grants for physical investment projects and R&D
>>Reduced real estate costs
>>Tax exemptions
>>Exemptions from employer social security contributions
>>Tax credits
>>Covering certain expenses (e.g. training costs for new employees,
etc.)
>>Government guarantees
>>Equity investments

international comparison.
Water is a limited resource so it can be a major problems
for the Industrialist sector in the France economy.
France is ranked in the top 25 countries (on the corruption
perception Index of government organizations) in the world
for being perceived as least corrupt compared to 176 other
countries. There are laws, regulations and penalties to
reduce and prevent corruption in France. As a
consequence, the French legal system has witnessed
numerous investigations and successful convictions of
corrupt public officials and businessmen.
12. Conclusion
France is the logical choice, with its location at the heart
of the EU.
Second Highest in FDI inflow.
23,000 foreign companies already in France.
Qualified and highly productive labor force, unparalleled
infrastructure, and low business setup, real estate and
electricity costs.
