15. Eco-friendly Rigs
their rigs are not only known for their market-proven designs
but also for being environmentally friendly. Efforts have been
put in to make the KFELS Semisubmersible Drilling Tender a
zero discharge vessel and to reduce emissions from the KFELS
B Class jack up. These efforts were have been acknowledged
by the Singapore Institution of Engineers Prestigious
Engineering Achievement Awards. Leveraging our capabilities,
they are also actively looking for opportunities in renewable
energy such as offshore wind.

Keppel Land established a Board Safety
Committee (BSC) in 2006, the first by a public-
listed company in Singapore, to review and
develop safety policies across its multiple
business units. The formation of BSC provides
strong and visible leadership as well as
commitment from the top.

developed to help encourage and drive the right
behaviour in their daily operations across the

22. Future plans
Notwithstanding government tightening measures and the
softening market in Singapore and China, Keppel Land
sold over 4,400 homes, mostly in China, almost twice the
number sold in 2012.
During the year, Keppel Land entered into a strategic
partnership with China’s largest residential developer,
China Vanke, to jointly develop properties in Singapore and
