Rising voices, this is one of the best documentaries that i ve ever watched. The Rising Voices
documentary was talking about a few major events that has happened. They first talk about how the
language isn t getting told to the younger children in most areas. There are many people who talk
about the information of knowing that many Lakotas don t know how to speak there language. That is
why they started to have the immersion schools. It is a very good thing that they are having the
schools, so that the language does not die off. They want it to keep going on for generations and
generations. The entire documentary just shows that the people of South and North Dakota need to

There are many different forms of entertainment media that has made an impact on the American
culture. However, the one I feel that has made the biggest impact on American culture is the music
industry.
I say that because, if you look at the music from the 50 s and the 60 s, the music was smooth, it spoke
to the teens and the adults in a certain way, the kids danced in a calm manner, they danced in a
respectful manner. In the 70 s and 80 s, the music took on a distinctive style, therefore, the dances and
the clothing took on a different style. The clothing began to show body parts, the stomach was the
main part that showed. In the 50 s and 60 s you just did not do that. You kept your body covered.
When the music changed, the kids changed.
In the 80 s and 90 s, it took on more of a drastic change. Rap came on the scene, as well as, the disco
era. When this era came about, the kids changed even more. Their clothing, haircuts, and even their
language changed. It got to be such a drastic change where men were wearing makeup and as much
jewelry as the women were. Then came the Gangsta Rap, which brought about the gang scene.
Everybody was wearing their clothes extra big and baggy. The wearing of a certain color meant you
represented a certain gang and the wearing of your cap meant something else, however, it all

Preliminary Results
Isolation of human primary ATII cells.
We will isolate ATII cells from de identified control organ donors whose lungs were not suitable for
transplantation and donated for medical research through Temple Biobank in collaboration with Dr.
Gerard Criner (Temple University, letter attached) as we previously described (7, 9, 10). For ATII cell
isolation, we used magnetic microbeads (Miltenyi, Biotec Inc.) and epithelial cell adhesion molecule
(Ep CAM) positive selection. Purified ATII cells display about 90% purity as detected by staining with
pro surfactant protein C (proSP C) and ATII280, which are specific ATII cell markers (Fig. 2). In this
grant proposal, we plan to use ATII cells isolated from at least 12 non smoker and 12 smoker control
lung donors and 12 patients with emphysema (GOLD IV). Lung tissue from individuals with this
disease will be obtained in collaboration with Dr. Criner.
DJ 1 Cys106 SO3 in patients with emphysema. Initial proof of concept studies were performed in ATII
cells obtained from patients with emphysema in comparison with control lung donors. We found high
expression of DJ 1 Cys106 SO3 in ATII cells obtained from individuals with this disease using a

I Am A Soldier And A Good Person
The army has taught me so many great things. It taught me how to be a disciplined soldier and a good
person. I was inexperienced of life before I joined the army. Therefore, I was overwhelmed of life
lessons when I came to basic training. However, I learned the seven army values which were loyalty,
duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage; I experienced every value
throughout my training process. They help me to discipline myself to be a good soldier and a good
person. The value that I honored most was integrity. I was taught that integrity was doing what s right,
