2. Initial Reaction
• For my FMP I want to create a short film. I have made a
couple of different short films in the past and so will
probably lean into the skills I developed whilst creating
those.
• I would like to make a short superhero film as it’s
something I have done before and a genre I very much
enjoy, which would help me come up with ideas easier,
however this may be difficult due to the amount of
special effects that may be required, and this may
make the project time consuming and too challenging
for the time frame I have been given.

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• The majority of the colours are dark colours, particularly black,
whites, and greys. Another common colour used is blue which can
either represent the United States or the police force.
• Most of the images have a gritty and serious tone to them which is
something that is present in the genre in general.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• I will take on-board all the things I have discovered from my mood
board, including the dark colours and the gritty tone, in order to
help best frame my own shots and plan other things such as
costume and set dressing.
