Production Process Evaluation
Research
• I found quite a few products that helped me, especially the IT poster as it gave me the idea of
a killer clown but also because of the colour scheme of white showing death.
• The name of the titles of the products helped me think off my title, especially IT as it
describes what the character is, just like my title describes how he is an unstoppable beast
• The surveys helped me create my killer, by the weapon they would use and what they would
look like, Hannibal Lector especially because of how unique and gruesome his kills are
• The interviews helped me to come up with the idea for my movie
• There was quite a few similarities with the colour scheme with in the products
• Both of the trailers that where analysed helped me come up with how I want the main
character to act in my movie trailer.
• The killers where all very different to each other, which made me struggle on picking one
type of killer for mine to be like
• I got opposite opinions with my interviews to help with my idea
• I analysed a product which I did not use (could off done it on a product I was definitely going
to use)
Planning
• The 3 ideas, with the detail helped me to choose my final idea, as I had more
ideas about what I can do as my products, as I had more of an idea about what
I could do for the movie franchise idea unlike the rapper and basketball team
am I struggled to think off what products I could do for them.
• The mind map helped me to imagine what I can do for my 3 products, as I
could see what each idea looked like typed out on the computer.
• The mood board helped me get the idea of a killer clown, the different clown
images helped me choose the right mask fir all off my products.
• The choices I did not use, it helped me think off a reason why I did not choose
it, as I was struggling with what I should put down for the other 2 ideas as I
was unsure about what other ideas I should do.
• All of the clown faces I got all look completely different, this made it hard to
choose just one design to use for the products.
• Could off got a variation of images (They are quite similar)
Time Management
• I spent a little bit too long on the initial plans as I struggled with getting 3 ideas
and also with what images to use of the mood board
• The research went really well with time as I already had an idea of what I
wanted to analyse
• The experiment took an extra hour to finish the product as I was unsure about
what I was going to do for it
• I spent the right amount of time on the proposal, as I already had an idea of
what I was going to write
• The style sheet was on time as I had already had an idea about the font and
images I was going to use on my final products
• The reflection was on time as I knew how it was made and since I was taking
screenshots while doing my final products, and writing what I was doing just
after.
• The first 2 products (DVD cover and poster) took a little longer than expected
giving me less time on the trailer meaning it was rushed), this was because I
had a couple of software errors as it had crashed a few times while making the
product.
Technical Qualities
Similarities Differences
• There are holes in where the eyes go
• They both use the colours of red and
black
• The mask has got the colours of red
and black
• The similar product has got a
background
• The mask has got some of the
background
• There is only half of the mask is shown
with the rest covered by the
surrounding picture
• The title is in a different font
Aesthetic Qualities
DVD cover
The colour scheme works very well together (black and red) which helps to give the
audience an idea about the genre
I'm happy with how the mask looks on the DVD cover as it shows the character as
mysterious, the smile also gives the character a psychotic characteristic
The font of he writing works well with the genre of the movie
I could off added more to the back cover as it is a bit plain
Poster
I liked the contrast between red and black on the mask
The font works well with the theme of the movie
The way the holes in the mask for where the eyes and mouth goes are black does not show
who is behind the mask making the audience wonder who it is.
It is quite hard to see the mask
Audience Appeal
The male gender is shown on the DVD cover as the main character is in the centre
of the page, this links to my target audience of male as it will be more relatable to
the male gender.
The 18 logo in the bottom corner of both products shows the audience that it
will have graphic content, this links to my audience as it will be targeted for 18 year
olds or older.
The DVD logo on the DVD cover shows that it is not Blue-Ray, this links to the target
audience as they will need to know weather they could watch it in certain devices
or not.

Peer Feedback Summary
Initial plans
I would change the images that I chose for the story board as it does not give me a lot of different ideas
about what type of killer I should have. I would also of liked to add more information to the first mind map,
as I think that there was more I could add.
Research
I would off changed some of the existing products, as I don’t think a few off them relates to my products,
especially the horror magazine as I did not do a magazine. I would off also liked to ask the same questions to
another person so I got two different opinions on one set of questions.
Experiment
I would off liked to change the look of the experiment as it doesn’t relate to what my product looks like, as
the mask looks completely different.
Proposal
I would of liked to add more information to certain parts, as I think I could of gone more in depth about what
to call my movie for example by expanding on the reason I chose the name of the movie.
Pre-Production
I would of liked to spend more time on my layout as it was rushed and does not look like how I wanted it to
look. I would also like to change the storyboard as it is not anything like my trailer.
Production Reflection
I should of gotten more screenshots on the trailer to explain in more detail about what I have done. I could
off also added more detail on certain parts explaining what I did.
Evaluation
I would off liked to get different feedback as I asked the same person to do feedback as I would be able to
see a common weakness and strength.
