Feedback
1. Feedback
Red- Negative
Blue – Even Better If
Green – Positive
Through out the production, we received a lot of
feedback from other media peers and potential audience
members. Here I have summarized their feedback and
the action we took .
2. Spray Paint Section
“I liked the continuity of
the shots as it draws my
attention in”
“There is a shadow of the
camera man in the
tunnel”
“Liked the bold color of
the spray paint as
contrasts the black of the
clothing and the white
wall”
From this feedback, We cut down on the length of time that the
footage of the Spray paint section was seen. We also tried to a put
a shot of the mask with the spray paint but couldn’t so had an over
the shoulder shot so the audience felt more connected with the
actor.
3. Performance Element
“Features all the band
members in”
“Doesn’t quite fit in with
the rest of the video –
too random”
From this feedback, We didn't add this section to the video
as due to the feedback we felt that the audience didn’t
appeal to the audience so changed it to have feature just the
microphone and Charlie wearing the mask and have this at
the end of the video so that it didn’t interfere with the other
footage.
4. Burning Symbols
We received a lot of positive feedback on this section, so
didn’tchange very much to this footage. Although, we did try
put it in slow motion as requested but it didn’t fit in with the
music.
“looks very realistic”
“Don’t quite understand
the reason you’re burning
Starbucks and
McDonalds”
“Creates a climax and
dramatic tension”
5. Draft Digipak
“Love the front cover and
has all the information I
would expect on an
album”
“Needs more of a theme
through out”
“Doesn’t use the
conventions of an Indie
Band ”
We received a lot of positive feedback on this section, although some very
negative criticism too so changed quite a bit to these to meet the audiences
expectations. We changed the protest element on the digipak, whilst trying
not to loose the element of the message.
6. Draft Website
“Lot’s of information that
a new fan would need!
Very informative.”
“Some pages are black
and some are white?”
“I’m disappointed can’t
actually buy the
merchandise! ”
We received a lot of positive feedback on the website, the negative criticism we
tried to meet but was difficult as the band aren’t real we don’t have real fans
meaning we couldn’t realistically meet the feedback. However, changed the color
scheme and other aspects from the feedback.
7. Overall
From all the feedback we have received from the rough cut and final
feedback to the ongoing comments through production, I feel that we
responded well to the feedback. We changed a lot of aspects from the rough
cut to the final video as we knew that meeting the audiences expectations
was important. Each section of footage, we received criticism from peers
which helped as it ensured that we included the necessary shots and this
consequence in the video being better.
On the ancillary task, there was a variety of feedback that we adapted to. This
was satisfying to feel that we were developing our products so that the
audience found them more appealing.
